II TOOK MY CAR IN TO HAVE THE TIRES ROTATED AND I WAS TOLD I NEED NEW TIRES. MY TIRES HAVE ONLY 20K MILES AND A 60K MILE WARRANTY. THE TIRE SHOP CALLED FALKEN WAS GIVEN THE RUN AROUND FOR OVER A WEEK BY THE MANUFACTURER. I CONSULTED ONLINE FORUMS AND CHECKED W/ SEVERAL TIRE SHOPS AND WAS TOLD THAT THE FALKEN ZIEX 912'S HAD WEAR PROBLEMS AND THAT FALKEN HAD CUT THE WARRANTY TO 40K MILES AND THEY WOULDN'T SELL THEM. CONSUMER REPORTS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THEM IN 2010 WHICH IS WHY I BOUGHT THEM. MANY PEOPLE ONLINE ONLY HAD THEM LAST A FEW MONTHS AND ONE LADY I RECALL 6 MONTHS AND ALL GOT NO HELD OR RELIEF FROM FALKEN. WHY WEREN'T THESE RECALLED AND PULLED FROM SALE? FALKEN TOLD THE DEALER I WOULD NEED TO BUY NEW TIRES AND THEN THEY'D CONSIDER MAYBE REIMBURSING ME A SMALL AMOUNT. I AM DISABLED ON A FIXED INCOME AND CANNOT DO THIS AND I DO NOT TRUST FALKEN OR THEIR BRAND. I NEED TIRES FOR MY CAR NOW AND DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO.
2000 CHRYSLER SEBRING, UNIT 1 WAS TRAVELING WESTBOUND ON THE OHIO TURNPIKE IN THE LEFT LANE. THE RIGHT FRONT WHEEL FELL OFF THE RIGHT FRONT AXLE OF UNIT1 CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT FRONT FENDER. *BF (OHIO TRAFFIC CRASH REPORT # 10-0306-90).*JB
RIMS ON 2000 SEBRING LXI OVERLY PRONE TO DAMAGE FROM COMMON ROAD PROBLEMS. IN THE PAST 4 YEARS, I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE ALL 4 RIMS - DAMAGE OCCURED FOLLOWING HITTING POT HOLE THAT SHOULD NOT HAVE DESTOYED THE RIMS.*AK
THE VEHICLE'S REAR TIRE RIMS CRACKED AND AS A RESULT THE TIRES AIR PRESSURE WAS LOST . PLEASE PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. *NM *LA
DESPITE HAVING A TIRE SHOP INVESTIGATE THE SLOW LEAK IN MY TIRES, NO CAUSE WAS FOUND FOR A CONTINUOUS SLOW LEAK. EVERY TIME I USE THE CAR I NEED TO RE-INFLATE AT LEASE ONE OF THE TIRES. *NM
THE DEALER CHANGED THE FRONT TIRES TWICE DUE TO A BENT RIM. *AK TIRES LOST PRESSURE EVERY WEEK.*TS *JB
THE LEFT FRONT TIRE EXPERIENCED A BLOW OUT.*JB
BOTH FRONT TIRES HAVE GONE COMPLETELY FLAT. TIRE DEALER STATED THAT THIS IS DUE TO ALLOY RIMS CONTRACTING WITH THE LOW PROFILE TIRES. ONE WAS A NEWLY REPLACED TIRE, THE OTHER TIRE HAD 11,00 MILES ON IT. THE RIGHT WHEEL IS SLIGHTLY BENT, AND I AM TOLD THAT THIS CANNOT BE REPAIRED AND THIS COULD CAUSE AN INCOMPLETE SEAL AROUND THE BEAD/RIM. I AM CURRENTLY CHECKING TIRE PRESSURE EVERY TWO WEEKS, AND MOST RECENTLY HAD PRESSURE AS LOW AS 10 PSI ON REAR RIGHT, AND 15-25 ON ALL OTHERS. TIRE DEALER STATED THIS PROBLEM IS DUE TO COMBINATION OF ALUMINUM RIMS AND LOW PROFILE TIRES. THIS APPEARS TO BE QUITE AN UNSAFE COMBINATION IF HE IS CORRECT. I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT I NEED TO REINFLATE MY TIRES EVERY THREE WEEKS! THANKS FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE. *AK (TIRESIZE: P215/50R17)
CONSUMER STATES THAT THE DEFECTIVE BENT RIMS CAUSED A TOTAL OF THREE TIRE BLOWOUTS BETWEEN THE MONTHS OF SEPTEMBER 2001 AND JANUARY 2002. *YD
ALL FOUR ALUMINUM WHEELS WERE CAUSING LOSS OF AIR, DUE TO DEOXIDIZING OF WHEELS. DEALER/MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED. *AK *YD
RIM ON THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE HAS A GROOVE ON THE INSIDE WHICH CAUSES TIRE NOT TO CREATE A SEAL, RESULTING IN SLOW LEAK IN THE TIRE. THIS CAUSED TIRE TO RUB AGAINST RIM. DEALERSHIP GAVE OWNER A NEW RIM, BUT COULD NOT REPLACE THE TIRE. GOODYEAR WOULD NOT REPLACE THE TIRE. *AK *SLC
CONSUMER HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH THE TIRES THAT CAME FROM THE FACTORY. THEY KEEP LOSING AIR. THE TIRES ARE GOODYEAR. AS SOON AS THE VEHICLE NEARED 20000 MILES ONE OF THE TIRES BLEW-OUT WHILE CONSUMER WAS IN MOTION. THE REASON THE TIRE BLEW WAS BECAUSE IT WAS WORN DUE TO AN IMPROPER ALIGNMENT.*GOODYEAR TIRES *JG
