DASHBOARD LIGHTS INTERMITTENTLY TURN ON AND OFF WHILE CAR IS ON AND DRIVING; ESPECIALLY THE'AIRBAG' AND 'CHECK ENGINE' AND "EXCLAMATION POINT' LIGHTS. THE 'CHECK ENGINE' LIGHT IS ALWAYS ON AND BLINKS WHILE IN DRIVE. WHILE THE CHECK ENGINE IS BLINKING, THE CAR DRIVES SLOWER AND DOES NOT PICK UP SPEED PAST 20 MPH. ALL SPARK PLUGS HAVE BEEN CHANGED AS WELL AS THE CRANKS SENSOR.
AIR BAG LIGHT HAS COME ON INTERMITTENTLY FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS. TAKEN TO SEVERAL INDEPENDENT MECHANICS WITH NO REASON IDENTIFIED OR RESOLUTION. WELL TODAY THE LIGHT KEPT ILLUMINATING AND DINGING WHILE RUNNING ERRANDS. UNUSUAL AMOUNT OF TIMES SO MUCH SO IT CAUSED SOME CONCERN. I WAS IN MOTION APPROACHING A STOP SIGN, ALMOST HOME AND THE DRIVERS SIDE SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED & BURST FOR NO REASON. THANK GOD I WAS UNINJURED BUT THAT WAS DANGEROUS AND SCARY! NOW I HAVE A DAMAGED DRIVERS SIDE SEAT.

THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE INTAKE MANIFOLD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THE COMPUTER NEEDED TO BE REPROGRAMMED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 109,000.
WHEN FUELING GAS COMES SPRAYING OUT WHEN FULL.
AIR BAG LIGHT COMES ON AND GOES OFF WHEN EVER IT WANTS. SOME TIMES IT STAYS ON A LONG TIME . USUALLY HAPPENS WHEN I HIT BREAKS OR A BUMP IN THE ROAD. SEAT FEELS LOOSE SOME TIMES. AND WISH I COULD HAVE FIXED BY CHRYSLER. I HOPE SOME DAY THEY STEP UP AND FIX THIS ISSUE BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT NOT KNOWING IF AIR BAG WILL WORK SUCKS.

AFTER REPLACING THE BATTERY, A WARNING INDICATING THAT THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM WAS FAULTY APPEARED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES CONNECTED TO THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM HAD CORRODED CAUSING AN ELECTRICAL SHORT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 08V152000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 108,000.

FOR THE PAST SEVERAL MONTHS MY DASH LIGHTS HAVE BEEN FLASHING, SOMETIMES GOING OFF AND STAYING OFF, AND MY REMOTE START WILL START THE CAR BUT THEN IT IMMEDIATELY SHUTS OFF. I DID SOME RESEARCH ON WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THIS AND DISCOVERED NHTSA REFERENCE # 08V-152, WHICH DESCRIBES EXACTLY WHAT I'VE BEEN EXPERIENCING, AND MY CAR DOES HAVE THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM. WHEN I CONTACTED CHRYSLER THEY TOLD ME THAT THERE HAVE NEVER BEEN ANY RECALLS ON MY PARTICULAR VEHICLE. I KNOW THIS TO BE UNTRUE BECAUSE SHORTLY AFTER I PURCHASED THE CAR I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR A SPRING IN THE GEAR SHIFT. CHRYSLER INFORMED ME THAT IF I WANT THIS CORRECTED IT WOULD AT MY OWN EXPENSE. THE PROBLEM THAT INITIATED THE RECALL CAN RESULT IN THE CAR STALLING WITHOUT WARNING AND CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. MY CAR'S VIN DOES NOT COME UP AS A VEHICLE INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL, BUT IF THE PROBLEM IS OCCURRING, THEN WHY WOULDN'T CHRYSLER WANT TO TAKE CARE OF IT FOR SAFETY'S SAKE AND THEIR REPUTATION? BELIEVE ME, I PLAN ON TELLING ANYONE I CAN ABOUT THIS AND I WILL NEVER CONSIDER ANOTHER CHRYSLER PRODUCT.

MECHANIC CHECKED IT AND SAID THERE IS "NO ISSUES" BUT ANY TIME IT RAINS I HAVE THIS PROBLEM. ALSO THEY CHECKED THE COMPUTER AND REPLACED SOME OTHER RECALLED ITEM, AND COMPUTER DOES NOT SHOW ANY ERRORS. HOW CAN ONE DRIVE A CAR THAT UNPREDICTABLY STALLS AND NO ONE, EVEN THE DEALER, IS ABLE TO LOCATE AND FIX THE PROBLEM?

MY CAR WANT SHIFT OUT ... THE RPM GOING UP AND NOT SHIFTING.. IT READING LIKE THE CAR IN MANUAL SHIFT BUT THE CAR IS IN DRIVE...
INTERIOR DASH LIGHTS FLICKER ON AND OFF AT NIGHT, SOMETIMES REMAING OFF. AS SUCH, SPEEDOMETER ISN'T ILLUMINATED, AS WELL AS OTHER GUAGES. I GOOGLED THIS CONDITION AND BY THE RESPONSES I SAW, THIS IS A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM IN THE CHRYSLER SEBRING AND THERE SHOULD BE AN IMMEDIATE RECALL BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT FROM DIVERTING ATTENTION FROM THE ROAD TO THE DASH SITUATION. THIS HAPPENS IF THE VEHICLE IS STOPPED, MOVING, TURNING, ON A CITY STREET AND IN HIGHWAY CONDITIONS. IT HAPPENS WHEN TRAVELING ON SMOOTH PAVEMENT OR ROUGHER CONDITIONS. THE VEHICLE IS IN LIKE NEW CONDITION AND HAS NEVER BEEN WRECKED.

DRIVING DOWN A NORMAL TRAFFIC FILLED STREET, CAR ALL OF A SUDDEN SHAKES AND, WONT GO PASSED 20 MPH AND THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL LIGHT COMES ON. ITS HAPPENED BEFORE BUT IF I TURN OFF THE CAR AND RESTART, THE CAR WOULD RETURN TO NORMAL. THIS PARTICULAR DAY IT DIDN'T. TOOK IT TO TIRE PLUS, THEY SAID I NEED A FUEL LINE CLEANING OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. FIXED THE PROBLEM FOR ABOUT A WEEK AND TODAY AS I WAS DRIVING FROM WORK DOING ABOUT 45 MPH THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL LIGHT COMES ON AGAIN, 3 TIMES IN UNDER FIVE MINS. EACH TIME HAD TO RESTART MY CAR. ITS DANGEROUS WHEN YOURE IN TRAFFIC AND LATE AT NIGHT, HAVING TO PULL OVER AND RESTART. *TR
MOST RECENTLY THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON, THE OWNERS MANUAL INDICATES THAT THE VEHICLE MAY LOOSE CONTROL OF SPEED AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. FURTHER RESEARCH INDICATED THAT THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM AND THAT PEOPLE HAVE LOST CONTROL OF THERE VEHICLES AND OR BEEN IN ACCIDENTS AS THEY WERE UNABLE TO SLOW DOWN OR STOP DO TO THIS ISSUE. MANY OF THE COMPLAINANTS ON LINE WERE INDIVIDUALS WITH YOUNG CHILDREN AS I AM AND HAVE SERIOUS CONCERNS FOR INJURY OR DEATH. LOCAL DEALERS HAD ISSUES RESOLVING THE PROBLEM. MY SECOND ISSUE WHICH IS ALSO A COMMON ISSUE FOR CHRYSLER OWNERS IS THAT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER LIGHTS GO OUT AND CEASE TO WORK AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SEE ANY OF YOUR INSTRUMENTS AT NIGHT SUCH AS YOUR SPEED, TACHOMETER, GAS GAUGE,ENGINE TEMPERATURE ECT. THIS IS A BIG SAFETY CONCERN AS YOU CAN NOT SEE YOUR SPEED AT NIGHT OR EARLY IN THE MORNING WHEN KIDS ARE GOING TO SCHOOL AND REDUCED SPEEDS ARE IN AFFECT, AS WELL AS BEING ABLE TO KNOW IF YOUR RUNNING OUT OF GAS OR CAR IS OVERHEATING CAUSING FURTHER DAMAGE. I DID ALTHOUGH FIND A RECALL FOR DIFFERENT MODELS WITH GAS GAUGE ISSUES AS A SAFETY CONCERN FOR RUNNING OUT OF GAS. THIS INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ISSUE HAS TO BE FAR WORSE THAN THE GAS GAUGE RECALL AS IT CAUSES THE SAME CONCERNS PLUS SEVERAL MORE IN JUST ONE PROBLEM. WHEN I CALLED THE RECALL LINE THEY SAID THAT ITS NOT ON THE RECALL LIST BUT WAS ABLE TO CONFIRM THE GAS GAUGE ISSUE I ATTACHED BELOW. HAVING CONTINUAL ISSUES WITH LIGHTS ON DASH FLICKERING: 2 REPAIRS COMPLETED IN LAST 18 MONTHS AND STILL BROKE. COSMETICALLY, THE CAR IS CRAPPY SINCE THE DAY I BOUGHT IT; PAINT FLAKING OFF, TIRE RIMS HAVE PITTED, INSIDE DOOR HANDLES FLAKING OFF PAINT TOO, AMONG A FEW OTHERS. HOWEVER, MY HEATED SEATS BURNING THROUGH IS WHAT HAS ME VERY IRATE! I WAS DRIVING AND HAD TWO ADULT PASSENGERS WITH ME. BOTH OF US IN THE FRONT HAD THE HEATED SEATS TURNED ON RETURNING HOME FROM RUNNING ERRANDS IN THE CITY 45 MILES AWAY. MY PASSENGER IS 8 MONTHS PREGNANT AND I HAVE LOW LUMBAR ISSUES, SO HEATED SEATS ARE ALWAYS USED. WE HAD BOTH COMPLAINED THAT WE FOUND IT WEIRD THAT IF WE MADE QUICK STOPS DURING OUR RUNNING, WHEN WE GOT BACK INTO THE CAR AND TURNED THE HEATED SEATS ON, IT FELT WARMER THAN USUAL. HOWEVER, IF WE WERE SOMEWHERE FOR A LONGER PERIOD OF TIME, THE SEATS DIDN'T GET TERRIBLY HOT RIGHT AWAY. THE CAR SAT FOR 48 HOURS BEFORE IT WAS TIME FOR ME TO PACK UP AND HEAD BACK TO MY OWN HOME, WHEN I NOTICED WHAT I THOUGHT TO BE A STAIN ON MY SEAT (FROM MY DAUGHTERS DOG THINKING HE WAS GOING WITH ME). AFTER TRYING TO CLEAN IT AND NOTHING HAPPENING, I TOUCHED IT WITH MY FINGER TIP, ONLY TO FIND THAT IT WAS A BURN SPOT. IF THAT WOULD HAVE CAUGHT FIRE WHILE DRIVING, I COULD HAVE CRASHED! I COULD HAVE KILLED MY PREGNANT PASSENGER, HER HUBBY AND HER UNBORN BABY! SINCE TODAY IS A HOLIDAY, YOU CAN BET THAT I WILL BE CALLING THE DEALERSHIP FIRST THING TOMORROW. WHILE GOING 65 MPH, THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL SENSOR LIGHT CAME ON AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO LOSE POWER. IT FELT AS THOUGH THE GAS PEDAL WAS NOT WORKING AND THE SPEED DROPPED TO ABOUT 30MPH. AFTER RESTARTING THE VEH. THE PROBLEM WOULD CORRECT ITSELF FOR AWHILE. BUT EVENTUALLY THAT NO LONGER WORKED, AND I HAD A MECHANIC REPLACE THE GAS PEDAL. THIS TOO DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. SO WHEN WE DRIVE IT, AT ANY TIME, THE POWER DEACCELERATES AND THE VEHICLE SLOWS WAY DOWN. IT ALSO SEEMS LIKE IT IS NOT SHIFTING INTO OVERDRIVE AND REVS AT A HIGH RPM.
WHILE A MECHANIC WAS WORKING ON MY CAR HE NOTICED THAT A WIRING HARNESS WAS FUSED TOGETHER, AND THE FAN WAS NOT WORKING. I GOT ON LINE AND FOUND THAT IN NOVEMBER 2007 THERE WAS A RECALL (G39) AND IT WAS PERFORMED ON MY CAR( I PURCHASED MY CAR NEW IN FEBRUARY 2007). THERE WAS NO INDICATION MY CAR WAS RUNNING HOT, BUT, IT OBVIOUSLY COULD HAVE CAUGHT FIRE . THE WIRES WERE ARCING. I IMMEDIATELY GOT AN APPT WITH A DEALER ON 11/18 AND THIS TIME THE FOLLOWING PARTS WERE REPLACED: JUMPER RA 08015002, MOTOR RAD 08034280 AND SHROUD 07008002 FREE OF CHARGE .THE ORIGINAL RECALL WAS CALLED G39. THE ORIGINAL RECALL ONLY INSTALLED A FAN MOTOR OVERLAY HARNESS. THE ORIGINAL RECALL OBVIOUSLY DID NOT CORRECT THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM. BUT IT TOOK 7 YEARS TO HAPPEN AGAIN. *TR
AIR BAG INDICATOR LIGHT CONSTANTLY BEEPS AND STAYS ON FOR PERIODS OF TIME. WHEN I'M ON THE ON-RAMP ENTERING A HIGHWAY AND DRIVING IN A CURVE THE BRAKE INDICATOR LIGHT COMES ON. SOMETIMES IT COMES ON WHILE DRIVING ON A FLAT SURFACE. SINCE I'VE HAD THIS CAR, THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE PRESSURE HAS NEVER READ. IT JUST READS -- WHERE THE NUMBER SHOULD BE. I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE MY CRANK POSITION SENSOR TWICE. I LOST ACCELERATION WHILE DRIVING.THE SECOND TIME I HAD TO REPLACE THE ELECTRICAL THROTTLE SOMETHING (ETC) AS WELL. NOW IT IS OUT A 3RD TIME. LUCKILY I WAS IN MY DRIVEWAY THIS TIME! PLEASE RECALL!
WAS REVERSING OUT OF PARKING SPACE AND ENGINE STALLED. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST OCCURRENCE. HAVE PREVIOUSLY BEEN DRIVING ON THE ROAD AT 35 MPH AND THE ENGINE HAS STALLED AND THE VEHICLE HAD TO CRUISE TO A SHOULDER FOR SAFETY, NEEDED TO SHUT OFF THE CAR AND RESTART. THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENED 2011 I HAD OWNED THE CAR FOR 6 MONTHS I WAS GOING APPROX 60MPH ON A HIGHWAY AND THE ENGINE SHUT OFF, THE CAR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WAS FINE BUT THE ENGINE CUT OFF. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE SITUATION AND IT HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES SINCE. LAST WEEK THE DEALER REPLACED THE BATTERY BECAUSE THEY WERE CERTAIN THIS WAS BEING CAUSED BY THE BATTERY BUT IT IS NOT! LEFT THE CAR WITH DEALER AGAIN AS I HAVE A LIFETIME MAINTENANCE PLAN BUT IF THEY CANNOT DUPLICATE THEY WONT FIX - RIGHT NOW THIS VEHICLE IS A HAZARD AND DANGER TO DRIVE. *TR
