I PURCHASED A 2008 CHRYSLER SEBRING ON MAY 28, 2010. ON THAT DAY AFTER TEST DRIVE I SPOKE WITH SALESMAN AND FINANCE MANAGER ABOUT THE BRAKES AND WAS INSURED THAT ANY PROBLEMS TO BRING BACK WITHIN 2 WEEKS. I ALSO WAS TOLD THAT THE SQUEAKING WOULD SUBSIDE WITHIN 2 WEEK TIME. I HAVE RETURNED CAR TO DEALERSHIP TWICE NOW AND EACH TIME WAS TOLD NO PROBLEMS AND THEY DID NOT HEAR ANY NOISE. I'VE HAD TO PUMP MY BRAKES TO STOP AND THERE IS A GRIND NOISE WHEN APPLYING PRESSURE TO BRAKES. I HAVE SINCE REPLACED THE PADS AND WAS TOLD THE ROTORS WERE BAD ALSO. IS IT GOING TO TAKE SOMEONE HAVING AN ACCIDENT OR POSSIBLE DEATH IN ORDER FOR ACTIONS TO BE TAKEN? OR WILL IT TAKE GOING PUBLIC WITH THE MEDIA? I WOULD HOPE THAT ACTIONS WOULD TAKE PLACE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEMS. PLEASE DON'T IGNORE THESE COMPLAINTS. *TR
MY BRAKE LIGHTS GO ON FOR NO REASON WHILE DRIVING THE NORMAL SPEED LIMIT. IT WILL GO OFF AFTER I TURN OFF THE VEHICLE BUT THEN AGAIN APPEAR AT DIFFERENT TIMES THE DEALER HAS SAID NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THE FLUIDS NOR BRAKES AND CANNOT FIGURE OUT WHY THE BRAKE LIGHT KEEPS APPEARING. *TR
VEHICLE WAS PARKED OVERNIGHT AFTER OPERATION. THE NEXT MORNING THE VEHICLE WAS NOT ABLE TO BE PUT INTO GEAR. HAD TO BE TOWED TO DEALER. A PART OF THE AUTOMATIC SHIFTER MECHANISM HAD BROKEN, AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHRYSLER SEBRING CONVERTIBLE. WHILE DRIVING 10 MPH AND ATTEMPTING A RIGHT TURN, THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED AND THE CONTACT HAD TO UTILIZE EXTREME BODILY FORCE IN ORDER MANEUVER THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THE FAILURE AS A DEFECTIVE STEERING COLUMN RACK. THE STEERING COLUMN RACK WAS REPLACED YET THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER HOWEVER, THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS LEFT WITH THE DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS AWAITING REPAIRS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
VEHICLE SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING IT, 1ST. TIME I WAS GOING ABOUT 30MPH IT SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING. NEXT TIME I WAS REVERSING IN DRIVEWAY AND IT JUST SHUT OFF. BOTH TIMES PUT IN PARK AND RESTARTED. DEALERSHIP TRIED TO DUPLICATE PROBLEM AND PUT IT ON COMPUTER, BUT NOTHING SHOWS UP. IT WAS A COUPLE MONTHS IN BETWEEN EPISODES. *TR
I HAVE AN 08 CHRYSLER SEBRING. MY ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL LIGHT COMES ON RANDOMLY, AND WITHIN 5 SECONDS, MY CAR STALLS. I'VE TAKEN IT TO TWO DEALERSHIPS, THEY CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT IS CAUSING THIS DEFECT. THIS IS NOT SAFE! ONCE WHEN IT STALLED, I COULDN'T PULL OVER BECAUSE THERE WAS NO SHOULDER. I PULLED OVER IN THE LITTLE TRIANGLE AREA BETWEEN MERGING TRAFFIC. ON A TRIP FROM IL TO VA, I HAD TO RESTART MY CAR 7 TIMES. ONE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE MAP SENSOR, THIS DIDN'T HELP AT ALL. THE OTHER DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO, SINCE THERE WERE NO STORED CODES AND THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. *TR
WHEN I APPLIED THE BRAKES PEDAL THE CAR WILL COME TO A STOP, BUT THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD SHAKE. TOOK THE CAR TO A CHRYSLER DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN SAID THAT THE FRONT ROTOR WERE WARPED, HE RECOMMEND THAT THEY CUT THE ROTOR AND THAT WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM. IT FIX THE PROBLEM, BUT AFTER 6000 MILE LATER THE PROBLEM RETURN. I REPLACE THE FRONT ROTOR AND THE PROBLEM WENT AWAY. IT COST ME $250. 00. THIS PROBLEM WAS NOT COVER BY THE WARRANTY. *TR
THE WINDOWS WILL ROLL DOWN AFTER SITTING ABOUT 4 HOURS THE KEYS WERE IN MY LOCKER AT WORK, I DIDN'T USE THE WINDOWS GOING TO WORK WHEN I LEFT THE CAR AND WENT INTO WORK THEY WERE UP WHEN I CAME OUT TO GO TO LUNCH THEY WERE DOWN WOULD BE GOOD IF IT WAS RAINING. *TR

TIRES PRESSURES ARE REPEATEDLY LOW. AIR VALVE STEM BROKE OFF WHEN PUTTING MORE AIR IN TIRE CAUSING TIRE TO COMPLETELY DEFLATE. AIR VALVE STEM IS MADE OF PLASTIC. AIR TEMPERATURE WAS AROUND 15 DEGREES. *TR

HELLO I HAVE A 2008 CHRYSLER SEBRING AND IT CONSTANTLY HAS BRAKE PROBLEMS. I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM A DEALERSHIP IN DEC OF 2009. I HAVE HAD TO PUT BRAKES ON 3 TIMES SINCE THEN AND I DON'T GO LONG DISTANCE OR DRIVE LONG. I HAVE HAD FACTORY BRAKES PUT ON FROM THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP. THE BRAKES ALWAYS MAKE SQUEAKING NOISE ALL THE TIME. I HAVE TALKED TO ALOT OF OTHER PEOPLE THAT HAVE CHRYSLERS AND THEY ALL SAID THE THEY HAVE BRAKE PROBLEMS. I THINK THE CAR NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED OR RECALLED. *TR

I HAVE TWO COMPLAINTS. I WAS DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY PROCEEDING AT APPROXIMATELY 55 MIPH AND THE CAR TURNED OFF. NO WARNING, JUST DEAD. SECOND COMPLAINT: I FILLED UP WITH GAS. I PROCEEDED TO LEAVE THE STATION WHICH INVOLVED EXITING AND TURNING ONTO A MAIN HIGHWAY. I TRIED TO STOP AT THE TOP OF THE EXIT DRIVEWAY AND I HAD NO POWER BRAKES. I PUSHED HARD ON THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE CAR STOPPED. *TR

MY 2008 CHRYSLER CONVERTIBLE CLOTH TOP HAS BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR 3 WEEKS AS OF TODAY. THE TRUNK LID WON'T GO DOWN. THE TOWING COMPANY WOULD NOT EVEN TOW IT BECAUSE IT WOULD DAMAGE THE CAR FURTHER. CALLED CHRYSLER AND THEY SAID THEY HAD SEVERAL COMPLAINTS AND THAT THEY WERE "TOOLING" THE TOP. *TR

MY CAR IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALERSHIP BEING SERVICED. I TOOK THE CAR IN BECAUSE SUDDENLY THE CAR BEGIN TO MAKE A HORRIBLE NOISE, THAT I DESCRIBED TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE AS A NOISY FAN BELT, THAT WHINNIED WHILE DRIVING, BUT NOISIEST WHILE IN PARK, ODILIMG AT THE STOP LIGHT. I TOOK THE CAR IN AND THEY PRETENDED NOT TO HAVE A CLUE, AND BEGIN TO INQUIRE ABOUT OIL CHANGES AND OTHER SUGGESTED MAINTENANCE, I SHOWED THE WRITER AND MECHANIC MY MOST CURRENT MAINTENANCE RECEIPT PRINTOUT ALONG WITH THE PREVIOUS DATES, SO THEY BACKED AWAY FROM THE INDIRECT ACCUSATIONS THAT IT WAS POSSIBLY MY FAULT. THE POWER STEERING PUMP IS DEFECTED, THE PULLEY FROZE, AND THE ALTERNATOR. THE CAR HAS ONLY BEEN USED TO TRANSPORT MY CHILDREN TO AND FROM SCHOOL AND SOCIAL EVENTS, AND MY TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM WORK, GROCERY STORES AND THINGS OF THAT NATURE. MY MILEAGE IS 31,418. THEY ARE BEHAVING AS IF THEY DON'T HAVE A CLUE, BUT AFTER LOOKING INTO SEVERAL RECALL LINKS, I AM APPALLED THAT THEY KNOWINGLY SOLD ME A LEMON AT REGULAR PRICE, WITH NO DISCOUNT. THE ALTERNATOR IS AN ELECTRICAL OPERATING PIECE, IT ALSO TIE INTO THE RECALL TITLED "TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR, BECAUSE ONE OF THE CONSEQUENCES INCLUDE STALLING, AND BATTERY CORROSION, AND STOPPING WITHOUT NOTICE, WHICH IS ALSO CAUSED BY A DEFECTED ALTERNATOR. I DRIVE TWO SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN, TWO GRANDCHILDREN, 1MONTH, AND 13MONTHS OLD. CHRYSLER PUT US ALL IN DANGER KNOWINGLY. BUT STILL TO DATE ACTS AS IF THEY DO NOT HAVE A CLUE. *TR
THE 2008 CHRYSLER SEBRING CONVERTIBLE THAT I HAD WOULD JUST SHUT OFF ON ME WHEN I WAS DRIVING OR IF I WAS AT A STOP LIGHT. I WAS NOT HARD ON THE CAR AND I DROVE IT REGULAR. ONE DAY I WAS STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF LUNCH HOUR TRAFFIC AND THE LIGHT WAS RED, I WENT TO PUSH THE GAS AND REALIZED THE CAR HAD SHUT OFF ON ME. IT DIDN'T SEEM LIKE IT STALLED BECAUSE IF A CAR USUALLY STALLS IT WOULD SHAKE OR SOMETHING. THE CAR JUST TURNED OFF AT THE RED LIGHT AND WHEN THE LIGHT WENT GREEN I COULDN'T GO. I WAS STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC AND HAD TO HAVE PEOPLE GO AROUND ME. I DIDN'T KNOW IF I PUT THE CAR IN PARK I COULD GO AGAIN. I DIDN'T EXPECT IT TO JUST SHUT OFF ON ME IN THE FIRST PLACE IT WAS A NEWER CAR. IT HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN ONCE. I WAS CRUISING ON ROUTE 27 NORTH TOWARDS MOUNT AIRY AND MY 2008 CHRYSLER SEBRING SUDDENLY STALLS AND I HAVE TO PULL OVER. AFTER HAVING THE CAR TOWED TO NEAREST DEALER, I WAS TOLD THE NEXT MORNING THAT MY CAR RUN OUT OF GAS EVEN THOUGH THE FUEL GAGE STILL SHOWS THAT I HAVE QUARTER TANK AVAILABLE. DEALER TOLD ME THAT THE SENDING UNIT IS BROKEN. *TR
ON 01/30/09 MY 2008 CHRYSLER SEBRING ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR STARTED SHAKING AND LOOSING POWER. WAS ABLE TO DRIVE TO DEALER THE NEXT DAY AND THE DEALER REPLACE ONE SPARK PLUG AND IGNITION COIL. THEN FEW DAYS LATER ON 2/3/09 THE SAME ENGINE LIGHT MALFUNCTION INDICATOR CAME ON AGAIN AND THE CAR STARTED ROUGH AND VIBRATING, RETURN TO CAR DEALERS FOR A SECOND DIAGNOSTIC AND THE DEALER FOUND THAT THE CAR PCM WAS FAULTY. DEALER REPLACED DEFECTIVE PCM. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHRYSLER SEBRING. WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STALLED. THE CONTACT COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, TURNED OFF THE ENGINE AND RESTARTED IT; THE PROBLEM SEEMED TO CORRECT ITSELF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALERSHIP BUT THE DEALER COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE DEALER CALLED THE MANUFACTURER WAS INSTRUCTED TO RESET THE COMPUTER; THE DEALER DID RESET IT. FOUR MONTHS LATER, THE PROBLEM OCCURRED AGAIN. THE CONTACT PLANNED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 36,594. I HAD A SEVERE SIDE IMPACT ON MY 2008 CHRYSLER SEBRING WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE RAN A STOP SIGN AND BROADSIDED ME. I HAVE SIDE AIRBAGS, THE CURTAIN AIRBAGS AND THE ONES IN THE SEAT. NOT ONE AIRBAG DEPLOYED. CHRYSLER IS SAYING THE IMPACT WAS NOT SUFFICIENT TO DEPLOY THE BAGS. I DON'T ACCEPT THAT. THE DAMAGE TO MY CAR WAS $8,500.00 AND HAD TO REPLACE BOTH FRONT AND REAR DOORS AND THE ENTIRE SIDE FRAME. THE AIR BAGS SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED. *TR
I PURCHASED MY 2008 SEBRING IN NOVEMBER 2008. SEVERAL MONTHS LATER THE BRAKES BEGAN MAKING SQUEAKING NOISES. I HAVE HAD THE DEALER (FROM WHICH I PURCHASED) TO PUT 3 PAIR OF BRAKES ON SINCE THEN. I DON'T TRAVEL OR DRIVE LONG DISTANCES, BUT EVERYTIME I STOP THE BRAKES MAKE SQUEAKING NOISE S AND SKIPS. ALSO I HAVE LOTS OF DUST TO ACCUMULATE ON THE FRONT DRIVER RIM. 2008 CHRYSLER SEBRING TOURING WITH 9,000 MILES IS HAVING BRAKE FAILURE PROBLEMS. *NJ THE CONSUMER STATED ON 2 OCCASIONS, SHE EXPERIENCED BRAKE FAILURE WHILE BACKING UP. ON ONE OF THOSE OCCASIONS, SHE HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE. *JB
ON THE DATE MENTIONED, I WAS DRIVING AN ENTERPRISE RENTAL CAR, 2008 CHRYSLER SEBRING LX, FROM IDAHO FALLS, ID TO SALT LAKE CITY, UT. I WAS TRAVELING APPX. 73-75MPH WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL SET FOR THE LAST 50 MILES. I WAS APPROACHING ASEMI TRUCK/TRAILER AND TAPPED THE BRAKES TO DISENGAGE THE CRUISE CONTROL. AT THAT TIME THE CAR STARTED TO ACCELERATE, I TAPPED THE BRAKES TWO MORE TIMES TO TRY TO DISENGAGE THE CC AND THE CAR JUST CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE. AT THIS TIME I DECIDED I NEED TO TAKE A MORE AGGRESSIVE APPROACH AND STARTED SLAMMING ON THE BRAKES WHICH CAUSED ME TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE CAR AND STRIKE THE REAR END OF THE TRAILER. THAT CAUSED ME TO SPIN OUT OF CONTROL AND ENTER INTO THE CENTER MEDIAN OF THE I-15. I WAS ABLE TO GET THE CAR STOPPED AFTER THE WRECK. FOR WHATEVER REASON, I COULDN'T GET THE CC TO DISENGAGE AND IN FACT THE CC CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO SUDDENLY ACCELERATE. I HAD NO CONTROL OF THE SPEED OF THE CAR. THE BRAKES WERE REALLY NOT TOO EFFECTIVE IN SLOWING THE CAR WHILE IT WAS ACCELERATING. *TR
LIFE THREATENING SAFETY ISSUE TO MY 2008 CHRYSLER SEBRING CONVERTIBLE. APPROX 2-3 MOS AGO WHILE DRIVING THE ENGINE CUT OFF WITHOUT ANY WARNING WHAT SO EVER. 3 WEEKS AGO (FROM 15JAN09) THIS HAPPENED WHILE ON I-95. WHEN THIS HAPPENS YOU CAN NOT STEER OR USE BRAKES. THIS MONDAY (12JAN09) IT HAPPENED WHILE I HAD MY KIDS IN THE CAR, I WAS ABOUT TO TURN WHEN THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN AGAIN. THIS WAS A REALITY CHECK SINCE MY KIDS COULD HAVE BEEN INJURED (LUCKILY NO ONE WAS COMING).I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP AND TWICE THEY HAVE RUN DIAGNOSTICS,LOOKED IT OVER THOROUGHLY,AND DRIVEN THE CAR TWICE WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. TODAY THEY HAVE TOLD ME THEY HAVE TALKED TO THE CHRYSLER ENGINEERS WHO STATED THEY HAVE HEARD OF THE PROBLEM BUT HAVE NO SOLUTION. I HAVE FOUND MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS AS MINE OFF THE INTERNET DATED AS FAR BACK AS APRIL 2008. I HAVE CALLED CHRYSLER'S CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER TWICE AS WELL. THIS HAS BEEN NO HELP AT ALL. TODAY,AFTER TELLING THEM WHAT WAS TOLD TO ME BY THE TECHNICIANS,THEY SAID THEY WOULD FORWARD MY CASE ON AND I WOULD HERE BACK FROM SOMEONE IN TWO-FOUR BUSINESS DAYS. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHRYSLER SEBRING. A MONTH AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD VIBRATE WHEN SHIFTING GEARS AT 20-40 MPH. WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, THE VEHICLE WOULD ACCELERATE ON ITS OWN. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE DEALER ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, BUT THE MECHANIC COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE MECHANIC PERFORMED DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AS WELL AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NO DEFECT. RECENTLY, WHILE IDLING AT A STOP SIGN, THE VEHICLE INADVERTENTLY ACCELERATED AND ALMOST CAUSED A REAR END CRASH. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED AND THEY STATED THAT THEY WERE NOT LIABLE FOR THE REPAIRS BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND THEY INFORMED HER THAT THEY WOULD REPLACE THE VEHICLE, BUT ONLY IF SHE PAID TWENTY-FIVE CENTS PER MILE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 14,500 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,800. AS OF SUNDAY (7/20/08), I WAS DRIVING AND MY ENGINE CUT OFF (NO WARNING), POWER STEERING & BREAKS LOCKED UP....I LOST CONTROL OF MY CAR. I CALLED CHRYSLER TO NOTIFY THEM THAT I HAVE 2008 SEBRING AND NEED TO BE INCLUDED ON THIS RECALL AND THAT I HADN'T RECEIVED A NOTICE. THEY SAID THERE WAS NO RECALL AND I'M OUT OF LUCK. I THEN CALLED THE TALLAHASSEE, FL DEALERSHIP BACK AND TOLD THEM ALL THE INFORMATION I FOUND ONLINE AND THAT I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND I DON'T WANT TO END UP AS A STATISTIC ON THE SIDE OF THE RODE. I HAVE A 2008 CHRYSLER SEBRING CONVERTIBLE LIMITED WITH A CLOTH TOP. THE TOP MECHANISM IS DEFECTIVE AS I JUST HAD TO HAVE THE TOP REPAIRED FOR THE THIRD TIME. IT SEEMS THAT EACH TIME ONE OR ANOTHER MECHANISM HAS FAILED. THIS IS VERY UNSAFE AS THE TOP USUALLY FAILS HALF WAY UP AND HAS TO BE TOWED IN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FOLDING HARDTOP WOULD LEAK ABNORMALLY AND WAS OUT OF ALIGNMENT DUE TO ITS CONSTANT MOVEMENT TO AND FROM THE TRUNK COMPARTMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER NINETEEN TIMES AND THEY COULD NOT REPAIR THE LEAKAGE ISSUE. THE DEALER ATTEMPTED TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE BUT TO NO AVAIL. THE MANUFACTURER WOULD NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,400. THE CONSUMER STATED THE RETRACTABLE HARD TOP WOULD NOT COME UP AFTER BEING LOWERED. AFTER WAITING OVERNIGHT IT OPERATED IN A NORMAL FASHION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THE PROBLEM WAS A VOLTAGE SHORTAGE AND NOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. THE DEALER MADE THE NECESSARY REPAIRS AND INFORMED THE CONSUMER THE PROBLEM SHOULD BE RESOLVED. FOR TWO WEEKS, THE TOP HAD NOT BEEN LOWERED DUE TO RAINY WEATHER. THE FIRST TIME THE TOP WAS LOWERED, IT BECAME STUCK IN THE HALF WAY DOWN POSITION. AT WHICH TIME THE BACK HALF OF THE VEHICLE FELL TOWARDS THE GROUND, BENDING PARTS AND FORCING THE MECHANISM AND TRUNK TO BE SEVERELY OUT OF ALIGNMENT. ACCORDING TO ANOTHER DEALER, IT WAS MORE LIKELY CAUSED BY THE OTHER DEALERSHIP ADJUSTING THE TRUNK TOO FAR AWAY FROM THE LATCH, WHICH WOULD NOT ALLOW IT TO STAY LOCKED INTO PLACE WITH THE ADDED PRESSURE FROM THE TOP GOING DOWN. THE DEALER FINALLY ADMITTED THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN HAD BEEN ISSUED FOR THE MECHANISM PROBLEMS. CHRYSLER AGREED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE BACK AND REPLACE IT WITH A 2010 MODEL. THE CONSUMER STATED THE 2010 MODEL ALSO LEAKED. THE CONSUMER BELIEVED THE RUBBER PIECES DESIGNED TO BLOCK LEAKS FROM THE QUARTER GLASS AREAS DID NOT LAND IN THE SAME SPOT EACH TIME, WHICH EXPLAINED WHY THE PROBLEM WAS INTERMITTENT.
