ON THE CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY( I HAVE A 2007) THE BRAKES ARE UNDER SIZED AND NEED TO BE REPLACED EVER 10,000 MILES. MY CONCERN IS THAT SOMEONE WON'T REALIZE THEY NEED TO REPLACE THE BRAKES AND BE IN AN ACCIDENT. HOPEFULLY NO ONE WILL BE INJURED IF THE BRAKES FAIL. *TR
BOTH DRIVER & PASSENGER INTERIOR OVERHEAD LIGHT BULBS (COME ON WHEN DOORS ARE OPENED OR WHEN ACTIVATED BY DEPRESSING LIGHT COVER) MELTED THEIR PLASTIC RETAINING SOCKETS AND BURNED THE ELECTRICAL CONTACTS. THE PASS SIDE BULB SHATTERED BUT WAS RETAINED BY THE COVER. BOTH LIGHTS ARE INOPERATIVE AND A REPLACEMENT BULB CAN'T BE INSERTED SINCE THE SOCKETS ARE NOW DEFORMED AND THE ELECTRICAL CONTACTS HAVE BEEN BURNED THROUGH. THE FUSE PROTECTING THAT CIRCUIT DID NOT BLOW AND IS STILL FUNCTIONING. *TR
WE HAVE A 2007CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY; WE HAD TO REPLACE 5 TIE RODS IN 50,000 MILES. NOW WE HAVE EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION; 2 QUARTS IN 3000 MILES. WE HAVE BEEN TELLING DEALER SINCE 20,000 MILES WE HAVE HAD AN OIL PROBLEM WITH NO RESULTS FROM THE DEALER. *TR
2007 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY BRAKES AND ROTORS SHOT AT 20,000 MILES AND REPLACE ALL FOUR TIRES. *TR
RIGHT ELECTRICALLY OPERATED PASSENGER WINDOW FAILED TO OPERATE. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE AIRBAG LIGHT APPEARED ON THE DASHBOARD, MOMENTS LATER, SHE NOTICED THAT THE ENTIRE DASHBOARD STOPPED FUNCTIONING. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALER AND THERE WERE NO PRIOR WARNINGS. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 54000. UPDATED 11/23/09. *LJ THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE HAS NO BRAKE LIGHTS WHEN STOPPING, EXCEPT THE TAILGATE LIGHT. ALSO, THE BLINKERS AND HAZARD LIGHTS ARE INOPERATIVE. UPDATED 11/24/09
THIS IS A FREQUENTLY RECURRING ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE. EVER SINCE PURCHASE, THE VEHICLE WILL STALL OR ALMOST STALL FROM A STOP OR VERY LOW SPEED ACCELERATION WITHIN MINUTES OR LESS THAN FIVE MILES OF REFUELING. AFTER ABOUT 3 TO 5 SECONDS OF CRANKING, THE ENGINE WILL RESTART.. THIS CONDITION DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE AFFECTED BY WEATHER OR TEMPERATURE AT THE TIME OF INCIDENT. I TAKE CARE TO STOP THE REFUELING PROCESS IMMEDIATELY WHEN THE NOZZLE AT THE PUMP CLICKS SHUT. THE CONCERN IS THAT THIS STALLING OCCURS NORMALLY AT AN INTERSECTION AND I FEAR AT SOME POINT, THERE WILL BE A COLLISION. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN WELL MAINTAINED AND I HAVE ALL SERVICE RECORDS SINCE PURCHASED IN 2009. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 105,000. *TR
WE HAVE 2007 CHRYSLER TOWN&COUNTRY TOURING MINIVAN. THERE WAS A BURNING SMELL BY PASSENGER SIDE FOR A WHILE AND ABS FAULT LIGHT CAME ON AND NOT GO AWAY. THE CAR SLIDING BACK ON A LITTLE HILL AT TRAFFIC LIGHT WHILE ON DRIVE GEAR AND SLIDING FORWARD ON R GEAR . ALL DEALERS BY MY AREA ARE CLOSED WHAT CAN WE DO?
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. WHEN THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO PLACE THE PASSENGER MIDDLE SEAT BACK INTO THE BASE, HER LEFT RING FINGER WAS CUT BY A SHARP OBJECT. SHE WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE THE DEFECTIVE AREA. THE MANUFACTURER WOULD NOT ASSIST. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 25,600. UPDATED 08/28/09.*LJ UPDATED 09/04/09.*JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE OIL LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND HE DISCOVERED THERE WAS VERY LITTLE OIL IN THE ENGINE. THE CONTACT HAD PREVIOUSLY RECEIVED AN OIL CHANGE AND WAS ADVISED THAT THERE WAS NO ENGINE OIL IN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER YET HE WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE AN OIL LEAK. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD BURN OVER ONE QUARTER OF OIL AT 50,000 MILES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE 54,039. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE HAS A REAR PARKING ASSIST WARNING MECHANISM THAT BEEPS WHEN REVERSING WITHIN ONE FOOT OF AN OBJECT. THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY COULD NOT REPAIR THE MECHANISM AND REFERRED HIM TO THE MANUFACTURER. DAIMLER CHRYSLER STATED THAT THE MECHANISM WAS WORKING ACCORDING TO SPECIFICATIONS. THE CONTACT FELT THAT THE MECHANISM DID NOT PROVIDE ADEQUATE WARNING. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE LESS THAN 24,000.
CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY 2007: BRAKES WEARING OUT WITH GREAT FREQUENCY. WE ARE TAKING IT IN TOMORROW TO A BRAKE SHOP, AND THIS IS THE THIRD TIME IN ABOUT 10 MONTHS THAT THE VAN HAS NEEDED BRAKE REPAIR. VERY FRUSTRATED AND FEEL IT MUST BE SOMETHING INHERENT TO THE VEHICLE AS TWO DIFFERENT MECHANICS/SHOP REPAIRED THE LAST 2 TIMES. SAFETY ISSUE. *TR
DRIVING VEHICLE ABOUT 55 MPH, AFTER HEARING A LOUD BAG TRIED TO STEER CAR ONTO BERM. THE POWER STEERING DID NOT WORK. FINALLY, AND WITH A STRUGGLE, VEHICLE WAS PULLED OFF THE ROAD. HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO MECHANIC. MECHANIC STATED THAT ALTERNATOR HAD COMPLETELY COME LOOSE FROM ITS MOORING. AFTER INSPECTION, HE SAW THAT ONE BOLT WAS MISSING AND THE OTHER BOLT HAD FALLEN OUT. ALTERNATOR COMING UNMOUNTED CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE TIMING COVER AND SERPENTINE DRIVE BELT . TIMING COVER IS NOT AVAILABLE CURRENTLY FROM CHRYSLER. IS THIS A REASON FOR THAT, PERHAPS? *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY. HE STATED THAT DURING A ROUTINE OIL CHANGE, THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIE ROD WAS LOOSE AND REPLACED. THE FRONT PASSENGER AND DRIVER SIDE TIE ROD FAILED AFTER IT WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, SINCE THE COMPONENT WAS NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY, HE WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR COSTS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 23,889. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 30,732.
ENGINE STALLS IN TRAFFIC SHORTLY AFTER REFUELING. IN MOTION OR IDLING AT A STOP.
I HAVE A 2007 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY VAN WITH 20,000 MILES ON IT. I HAVE HAD THE FOLLOWING TRANSMISSIONS PROBLEMS WITH IT. TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS WITH 2007 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY VAN. I HAVE HAD IT TO THE DEALER THREE TIME SO FAR FOR ERRATIC SHIFTING AND HAD SHIFTING AT LOW SPEEDS AND OTHER TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. AFTER THE LAST TIME I HAD IT IN AND THE TECH FLASHED THE TRANSMISSION MODULE IT TOOK ABOUT A MONTH OF IN-TOWN DRIVING UNTIL IT STARTED DOING THE SAME THING AS BEFORE. ALONG WITH THIS THE FOLLOWING THINGS HAVE STARTED TO HAPPEN: 1. LOUD NOISE AND JERK WHILE MOVING VEHICLE FROM PARK TO DRIVE OR REVERSE. 2. LOW SPEED UP AND DOWN SHIFTING FROM FIRST TO SECOND GEAR WHILE IN PARKING LOTS OR UNDER 15 MILES AND HOUR.. 3. AFTER PLACING THE TRANSMISSION IN REVERSE THERE IS A (METALLIC) CLICKING NOISE WHEN YOU PUSH ON THE ACCELERATOR. 4. WHEN YOU PLACE THE VEHICLE IN REVERSE THERE IS A WHIRRING SOUND BEFORE THE CAR GOES INTO GEAR. 5. WHEN YOU ACCELERATE FROM A STOP TO HIGHWAY SPEEDS THERE IS A HARD SHIFT FROM FIRST TO SECOND AND THE AFTER THAT WHEN THE VEHICLE SHIFT INTO THE THIRD GEAR THERE IS A SHUDDER OR SLIPPING FEELING. 6. ON OCCASION WHEN PULLING UP TO A STOP LIGHT OR STOP SIGH THE VEHICLE WILL DOWNSHIFT WHEN IT COMPLETELY STOPPED. I HAVE BEEN TALKING TO THE DEALER AND FINALLY CONTACTED CHRYSLER ABOUT THE PROBLEM. SO FAR THERE HAS BEEN NOTHING DONE EXCEPT TO FLASH THE TRANSMISSION PER A SERVICE BULLETIN THEY HAD. *TR
WE HAVE HAD NUMEROUS PROBLEMS WITH THE FRONT END, DRIVER'S SIDE OF OUR 2007 CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY. WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE NEW. IT IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN FOR NOISE IN THE FRONT. WE HAVE HAD TO HAVE THE STABILIZER LINKS AND BUSHINGS REPLACED, THE LEFT SIDE FRONT STRUT REPLACED,THE LEFT HAND OUTER TIE ROD REPLACED AND THEY JUST CALLED TO SAY THE BUSHINGS AND STABILIZER LINKS NEED REPLACED AGAIN. WE HAVE ALSO HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE AIR CONDITIONING, ACTUATORS AND BRAKES. CHRYSLER HAS REFUSED TO ASSIST WITH THE TIE ROD (DEALERSHIP CALLED THEM) SINCE WE HAVE HAD SO MANY PROBLEMS WITH IT. DEALERSHIP IS CURRENTLY CALLING THEM TO SEE IF THEY WILL ASSIST WITH THE BUSHINGS & STABILIZER LINKS. OUR VAN WAS IN THE SHOP ONE MONTH AGO WITH FRONT END PROBLEMS (THEY REPLACED THE TIE ROD) AND NOW THIS HAPPENS AGAIN. IT IS ALWAYS THE DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT END. IT IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY. WHENEVER THE DRIVER ATTEMPTED TO ENGAGE THE BRAKES AT 15 MPH, A VERY LOUD GRINDING NOISE WAS HEARD FROM UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE RACK AND PINION STEERING WAS LEAKING AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. SHE WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT A NEW WATER PUMP WAS NEEDED BECAUSE OF HOW THE VEHICLE WAS CONSTRUCTED. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS AT THE REPAIR SHOP, THE CONTACT FOUND NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ONLINE FOR THE IDENTICAL FAILURE ON THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL VEHICLES. THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PARTS, BUT SHE WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LABOR. THE VEHICLE WAS REPLACED AND THE CONTACT BELIEVES A RECALL SHOULD BE ISSUED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 37,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 44,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. THE CONTACT STATED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL SPORADICALLY WOULD REMAIN IN THE OPEN THROTTLE POSITION. HE WOULD APPLY REPEATED, STEADY PRESSURE UNTIL IT WOULD RELEASE ITSELF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS REPLACED. WITHIN A FEW YEARS, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE ACCELERATOR WAS SERVICED A SECOND TIME. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 23,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 32,000. UPDATED 07/19/10. *LJ UPDATED 07/23/10*JB
WE HAVE A 2007 CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY WITH 21,000 MILES. FRONT BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS HAVE PREMATURE WEAR. HAVE TO HAVE REPLACED BECAUSE THEY ARE AT 3MM. CHRYSLER STS 'NORMAL MAINTENANCE'...I'VE NEVER HAD TO REPLACE BRAKES ON A LEASED VEHICLE! ANYONE ELSE WITH THIS ISSUE? *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. WHILE TURNING INTO A DRIVEWAY WITH THE PASSENGER SIDE TURN SIGNAL FLASHING, THE CONTACT WAS REAR ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE SEAT BELTS IN HIS VEHICLE FAILED TO RESTRAIN THE OCCUPANTS. THE CONTACT'S FACE WAS SLAMMED BETWEEN THE WINDSHIELD AND THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW. BOTH THE CONTACT AND THE PASSENGER WERE WEARING THEIR SEAT BELTS AT THE TIME. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,000. UPDATED 11/07/08 *BF THE SEAT BACK RECLINED. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. WHILE BACKING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY AT APPROXIMATELY 2 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD NOISE. SMOKE APPEARED INSIDE THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT AS WELL AS THE EXTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT SHIFTED THE GEAR INTO PARK AND EXITED THE VEHICLE. SHE OBSERVED SMALL FLAMES UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS RELATED TO THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED AT THIS TIME BECAUSE THE CONTACT IS WAITING ON A RESPONSE FROM THE INSPECTOR. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 19,500.
DEALER SOLD THE VEHICLE THAT WAS UNDER WARRANTY W/OUT FLOOR JACK. CALLED DEALER AND THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME FOR IT , COMPLAINED TO CHRYSLER AND THEY SAID DEALER SHOULD CALL ME AND PROVIDE ME WITH THE FLOOR JACK. TO THIS DATE NOTHING. CALLED CHRYSLER 2 TIMES. NOTICED FLOOR JACK MISSING WHEN TIRE BLEW OUT ON THE FREEWAY . *TR
CAR WAS IN OUR DRIVEWAY, NOT RUNNING. HORN, LIGHTS, WIPERS - EVERYTHING STARTED GOING AT ONCE, SMOKE WAS COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD AND THE CAR WAS TRYING TO START. WE COULDN'T TURN ANYTHING OFF. CALLED 911, FIRE DEPT. UNHOOKED THE BATTERY AND TOOK OUT THE ELECTRICAL BOX. HAD THE CAR TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKES MADE A GRINDING NOISE WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHO REPLACED THE FRONT DISC BRAKE PADS, FRONT ROTORS, FRONT CALIPERS AND CLEANED THE REAR PARKING BRAKE ASSEMBLY. THE FAILURE CONTINUED TO OCCUR AND THE VEHICLE ALSO BEGAN TO VIBRATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE FRONT ROTORS WERE WARPED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE MECHANIC WHO REPLACED THE FRONT ROTORS AND HE LUBRICATED THE CALIPERS. WHILE DRIVING 55 TO 65 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE BRAKES BEGAN TO MALFUNCTION WHICH WAS 12,000 MILES AFTER THEY WERE REPAIRED. 4,000 MILES AFTER THE SECOND BRAKE REPAIR, THE REAR BRAKES BEGAN TO GRIND AND THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY NEEDED TO BE ADJUSTED. WHEN THE BRAKE FAILURE RECURRED, THE MECHANIC INSTALLED NEW FRONT BRAKE PADS, INSPECTED THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM, CLEANED AND ADJUSTED THE REAR BRAKES. THE FRONT PADS AND FRONT CALIPERS WERE REPLACED 12,000 MILES AFTER THEY WERE REPAIRED. THE MECHANIC RESURFACED THE FRONT ROTORS, THE COOPER WASHERS WERE REPLACED, AND THE BRAKE SYSTEM WAS ALSO FLUSHED. THE FAILURE CONTINUED TO OCCUR; THEREFORE, THE MASTER CYLINDER WAS REPLACED AND THE FRONT ROTORS WERE RESURFACED. THE ROTORS WERE ALSO RECENTLY ROTATED WHICH ALSO DID NOT CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER WHO STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RELATED RECALLS SINCE THE BRAKES WERE CONSIDERED NORMAL WEAR AND TIRE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,718. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 67,000. UPDATED 11/03/10. *LJ
MAJOR FAILURE OF THE ELECTRICAL ACCESSORIES: NO A/C NO NAV/STEREO/VES NO AUTOMATIC DOORS NO INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ENGINE DYING SPORADICALLY EXTERNAL LIGHTS WON'T TURN ON WIPERS WON'T TURN OFF WINDOWS WON'T OPERATE WHITE SMOKE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. *TR
2007 TOWN & COUNTRY WITH 9,000 MILES DRIVING ON INTERSTATE 76 IN PHILADELPHIA EXITING AN OFF RAMP AT CONSHOHOCKEN. VAN BEGAN SHAKING THEN IT WAS A SOUND LIKE A POP VAN BECAME UNCONTROLLABLE, NOT ABLE TO STEER OR SHIFT ANY GEARS. DRIVER UNABLE TO TURN WHEEL CAUSING THE VAN TO GO INTO THE OFF RAMP. THERE IS LITTLE DAMAGE TO THE BODY OF THE VAN BUT DRIVER WAS TOLD BY A WORKER FOR THE PA DEPT OF TRANSPORTATION AS WELL AS AN AUTOBODY SHOP & TOW TRUCK DRIVER THAT THE ENGINE MOUNT HAD BROKE CAUSING THE LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VAN. THE ENGINE MOUNT IS BROKE IN AT LEAST 3 PLACES AND PART OF THE ENGINE OR MOUNT IS HANGING DOWN NEAR THE WHEEL. THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP IS SAYING THEY HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS AND THEREFORE IT IS DRIVER ERA I.E. THE ACCIDENT CAUSED THE MOUNTS TO BREAK INSTEAD OF THE MOUNTS BREAKING CAUSING THE ACCIDENT. DRIVER IS NOT SURE WHAT HAPPENED THE ONLY ACCOUNT IS THE VAN WAS UNABLE TO BE STEERED TO FOLLOW THE PATH OF THE OFF RAMP AND THE VAN WAS UNABLE TO BE SHIFTED OUT OF GEAR OR STOPPED. THE VAN CAME TO A STOP BECAUSE OF THE OFF RAMP THERE WAS NO CONTROL FOR THE DRIVER. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. WHEN THE CONTACT PLACES THE VEHICLE INTO DRIVE WITHOUT DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATES ON ITS OWN. THE FAILURE IS INTERMITTENT AND ALSO OCCURS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PLACED INTO REVERSE. THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED TO THE DEALER, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 7,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,000.

I HAVE A 2007 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY AND HAVE 45,000 MILES ON THE CAR I PURCHASED NEW FROM A DEALER WHO IS NOW CLOSED. I HAVE HAD TO PURCHASE 3 SETS OF BRAKES ON THE CAR AND I HAVE ONLY OWNED IT 2.5 YEARS. *TR
I WAS IN AN ACCIDENT WITH MY 2007 CHYRSLER TOWN * COUNTRY MINI VAN. I REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE. ALL OF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED AS THEY SHOULD. THE LOWER AIRBAG THAT HAS JUST BEEN RECENTLY INSTALLED IN 06 & 07 VEHICLES DEPLOYED AND SHOVED THE LARGE PLASTIC COVER THAT IS UNDER THE DASH INTO MY LEGS AND RIGHT FOOT AND ANKLE AREA CAUSING TREMENDOUS BRUISING AND BROKE MY HEEL BONE ON MY RIGHT FOOT. THE AMOUNT OF PRESSURE PUSHED THE PLASTIC COVER HARD ENOUGH TO FORCE MY FOOT INTO THE BRAKE PEDAL AS I WAS TRYING TO STOP TO AVOID THE ACCIDENT. *TR

SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS AND HAD THE BRAKES REPAIRED 11 TIMES. THE BRAKES WOULD GRIND AND FAILED TO FUNCTION TO THEIR FULL CAPACITY WHEN ATTEMPTING TO STOP THE VEHICLE. IT FELT AS IF THE BRAKES WOULD FAIL COMPLETELY. THE CONTACT FILED TWO COMPLAINTS WITH THE MANUFACTURER, BUT THEY DID NOT ASSIST ANY FURTHER. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 38,250 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 9,516.
MY SON STUCK HIS FOOT UNDER THE PASSENGER SIDE SLIDING DOOR AND RECEIVED A SECOND DEGREE BURN FROM THE EXHAUST PIPE. THE EXHAUST PIPE IS TOO CLOSE TO THE SIDE OF THE CAR. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT EVERY TIME SHE DRIVES HER VEHICLE AND ATTEMPTS TO STOP, THE VEHICLE HESITATES WITH A COUPLE OF FEET OF BRAKING DISTANCE BEFORE IT FINALLY STOPS. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALER THREE TIMES REGARDING THIS FAILURE. THE FIRST TIME, THE DEALER STATED THAT THE REAR ROTORS WERE OUT OF SPEC AND THEY REPAIRED THE REAR ROTORS. THE SECOND AND THIRD TIMES, THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED A SOFTWARE UPDATE TO THE TRANSMISSION. THE DEALER HAS NOT YET CREATED THE UPDATE AND DID NOT KNOW WHEN IT WOULD BE CREATED. THE SPEED WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 2,400 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4.
VEHICLE UNABLE TO GO IN REVERSE UP AN INCLINED DRIVEWAY WITHOUT DIFFICULTY AND SHUTTERING IN THE DRIVVETRAIN. CHYRSTLER ENGINEERS AND DEALER SERVICE MANGER TOLD ME THIS IS NORMAL STATE FOR THIS VEHICLE AND I SHOULD GO UP THE DRIVEWAY FASTER AND WITHOUT SLOWING OR SOPPING TO AVOID THE SHUTTER. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE WHEN YOU HAVE MANY CHILDREN IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD, YOU HAVE TO GO SLOW UP THE DRIVEWAY TO MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT RUN ANYONE OVER OR HIT AN OBJECT. I AM NOT A TRAINED REVERSE RACE CAR DRIVER. ALL OF THE OTHER VEHICLES I HAVE HAD IN MY DRIVEWAY DID NOT HAVE THIS ISSUE. WE ALSO HAVE REPORTED HARD SHIFTING AT SLOW SPEEDS WHERE THE VEHICLE ACTUALLY LURCHES FORWARD. THIS IS DANGEROUS WHEN YOU ARE IN AREAS WHERE CROSSWALKS ARE PRESENT SUCH AS THE PARK, SHOPPING AREAS, SHOOL ZONES ETC. CHRYSLER STATED THIS TOO WAS NORMAL. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ELECTRONIC TAILGATE FAILS TO OPEN OR CLOSE WHEN THE BUTTON IS DEPRESSED. THE FAILURE OCCURS IN TEMPERATURES OF 110 DEGREES OR GREATER. THE DEALER STATED THAT THERE WAS A DESIGN FLAW WITH THE VEHICLE AND DID NOT MAKE ANY REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT NOTHING COULD BE DONE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 5,100 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS FOR IDENTICAL FAILURES. THE COMPUTER CHIP AND TRANSMISSION WERE REPLACED ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS. NONE OF THE REPAIRS HAVE REMEDIED THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 34,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 34,970.
