BOUGHT THIS CAR USED WITH 64,000 MILES. 3.8 L ENGINE. CAR BURNS APPROXIMATELY 1 QUART OF OIL FOR EVERY 1000 MILES DRIVEN. NO LEAKS AND NO SMOKE. PVC VALVE OK. ACCORDING TO MY MECHANIC WHO OWNED THE SAME CAR THERE IS SOME ISSUE WITH CYLINDERS/PISTON RINGS SEATING AND A COMMON ISSUE FROM A BAD BATCH OF MANUFACTURING AND/OR RINGS. HE TORE DOWN THE ENGINE IN HIS VAN TO INVESTIGATE, REPLACED WITH NEW RINGS AND HASN'T BURNED A DROP SINCE. CHRYSLER HAS COME OUT TO SAY 1 QUART PER 3000 MILES IS NORMAL BUT THIS IS NOT NORMAL. *TR
I WAS PUTTING AIR IN REAR PASSENGER SIDE TIRE, WHEN VALVE BROKE IN HALF. STEM WAS CORRODED UPON INSPECTION. I ALSO NOTICED THAT ANOTHER STEM HAD BEEN REPLACED ALREADY (I BOUGHT THE CAR USED) AND THERE WAS STILL TWO ORIGINAL STEMS THAT WERE ALSO CORRODED AND PROBABLY NEEDED REPLACEMENT ASAP. MECHANIC SAID IT WAS PRETTY COMMON WITH TOWN AND COUNTRY VANS. *TR

THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. WENT TO ADD AIR TO A TIRE, THE TPMS VALVE STEM SNAPPED OFF, TIRE LOST ALL AIR VERY QUICKLY. THE TPMS VALVE STEMS ARE ALL CORRODED AND ALL ARE ABOUT TO FAIL. IF ONE FAILS WHILE DRIVING, A VERY SERIOUS ACCIDENT COULD RESULT. DECIDED TO PURCHASE A DIFFERENT STYLE OF TPMS (SCHRADER WITH A RUBBER STEM, INSTEAD OF THE DANGEROUS ORIGINALS WITH THEIR CORRODING POT METAL STEMS) FOR ALL 4 WHEELS AT CONSIDERABLE EXPENSE TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY. FROM READING FORUMS AT E.G. ALLPAR, THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. CHRYSLER SURELY KNOWS ABOUT THESE DANGEROUS TPMS'S AND SHOULD BE PROACTIVE AND AT LEAST WARN USERS TO CHECK FOR CORROSION, AND PREFERABLY FIX THEIR PROBLEM. *TR

AS I WAS DRIVING 65 MPH, THE MINIVAN JUST COMPLETELY SHUT OFF (ENGINE AND DASHBOARD). THE SPEEDOMETER DROPPED TO ZERO, THE CAR BEGAN TO SHAKE AND I HAD TO CUT THROUGH HIGH SPEED TRAFFIC (WITH MY KIDS IN THE CAR) TO SAFELY GET OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND THEN THE GEAR SHIFT BECAME STUCK IN PARK. I HAD TO SHUT OFF THE CAR FOR 5 MINUTES, RESTART AND THE CAR WAS FINE. I AM TERRIFIED TO DRIVE THIS CAR WITH MY TWO SMALL CHILDREN. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN BEFORE. FROM WHAT I HAVE READ ONLINE THIS IS COMMON WITH CHRYSLER. WHEN I CALLED CHRYSLER IN MI THE CUSTOMER REP REPLIED "OH WOW, I'VE NEVER HEARD THAT BEFORE". IF YOU DO A SEARCH ONLINE THIS HAS AFFECTED MANY CAR OWNERS. ALL VALVE STEMS BECAME CORRODED AND REQUIRED REPLACEMENT DUE TO LEAKING AND CAUSING FLAT TIRES. *TR
VEHICLE WAS STARTED AFTER BEING PARKED FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS AND DRIVEN ABOUT THREE BLOCKS AND THE ENGINE STALLED. THIS HAS HAPPENED 5 TIMES THE LATEST THIS MORNING 1/2 BLOCK AFTER A COLD START. NO WARNING LIGHTS ON FIRST 4 STALLS AND THIS MORNING THE ANTISKID LIGHT CAME ON. ENGINE (4.0) REVS TO APPX 3000 RPM WHEN STARTED AFTER STALLING ONCE THE VEHICLE IS RESTARTED THE ENGINE DOES NOT STALL FOR WEEKS. ENGINE RESTARTS IMMEDIATELY. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHERE THE ENGINE WAS RESTARTED AND RESUMED NORMALLY. THE SPORADIC FAILURE RECURRED THREES TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER, WHO WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE A PROBLEM. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,000. MANY, MANY , MANY TIMES THIS HAS HAPPENED. I WILL EITHER BE SLOWING DOWN FOR A RED LIGHT, TO MAKE A TURN, OR HIT A BUMP AND THE CAR SHUTS OFF. NO PARTICULAR REASON, NO IDIOT LIGHTS COME ON INDICATING A PROBLEM. IF I DIDN'T PAY ATTENTION TO THE HEATING/COOLING FAN, IT SHUTS OFF, I WOULDN'T KNOW THIS HAS HAPPENED. TWICE I HAVE BEEN DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY, HIT A BUMP AND THE CAR SHUTS OFF. 65 MPH WITH CHILDREN AND PETS IN THE CAR!. A COUPLE OF TIMES THE CAR HAS JUST SHUT OFF AT A STOP, NO BUMP, NOTHING APPARENT. I HAVE BEEN IN TO THE DEALERSHIP THREE TIMES, SPENDING LARGE AMOUNTS OF MONEY AND ALL THEY CAN SAY TO ME IS I'M SORRY WE COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE SITUATION. I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE ON 09-15-2014 ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND AS OF THIS DATE, 01-16-2015 I HAVE NOT BEEN NOTIFIED THAT IT IS MY TURN TO GET THE IGNITION FIXED. MY HUSBAND AND I BOTH CALLED THE DEALERSHIP TWO TIMES EACH AND ALL THEY CAN SAY IS THAT THE PART HASN'T BEEN MANUFACTURED OR THAT THEY HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING FROM CHRYSLER. *TR

THE VEHICLE BEGAN DYING THREE OR MORE TIMES A DAY. THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A COUPLE OF REPAIR SHOPS, BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIX THE VEHICLE. THE CONSUMER THEN RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE. THE MECHANIC REPLACED A SERIOUS OF UNKNOWN SENSORS BUT THE REPAIR DID NOT REMEDY THE DEFECT. THE MECHANIC ADVISED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER FOR A SYSTEM DOWNLOAD. THE CONTACT DID NOT TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.

THE CONTACT REMOVED THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION, RESTARTED IT AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO FUNCTION NORMALLY. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON TEN OCCASIONS. THE WARRANTY WAS STILL VALID. THE DEALER STATED THAT DUPLICATION OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT POSSIBLE, AND THEREFORE A DIAGNOSIS COULD NOT BE COMPLETED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT OFFER A REMEDY. THE CONTACT LEFT THE VEHICLE AT THE DEALERSHIP SIX MONTHS AGO, AND DEMANDED THAT THE VEHICLE BE REPAIRED UNDER THE WARRANTY. AFTER LEAVING THE VEHICLE WITH THE DEALER FOR TWO MONTHS, THEY REPLACED THE ENGINE SWITCH. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,086. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 93,000.

DRIVING MY 2 SMALL CHILDREN TO SCHOOL AND MYSELF TO WORK, I TURNED RIGHT ONTO A MAIN ROADWAY AND THE DASH WENT DEAD, NO SPEEDOMETER, NO GAS GAUGE, NO READ OUTS, NOTHING, THEN ABOUT 5 SECONDS LATER THE DASH FLASHED BACK ON AND FRONT WIPERS WENT ON. THIS HAPPENED SEVERAL MORE TIMES BETWEEN HOME, SCHOOL, AND WORK (35 MILES ONE WAY). AS I WAS LEAVING WORK, THE DASH WENT DEAD AND STAYED DEAD FOR UP TO A FULL MINUTE SEVERAL TIMES BETWEEN WORK, SCHOOL, AND DEALERSHIP, BEFORE FLASHING BACK ON AND THE WIPERS COMING ON. LIMPED TO THE DEALERSHIP WITH MY 2 SMALL CHILDREN IN TOW. THEY HAD TO KEEP MY VAN OVERNIGHT IN ORDER TO TRACE THE ELECTRICAL ISSUE. DIAGNOSTIC WAS RUN, ISSUE TRACED TO A BODY HARNESS IN THE 3RD ROW SEAT WHERE A CLIP HAD BROKEN OFF CAUSING THE ENTIRE SYSTEM TO SHUT DOWN WHENEVER DRIVING OVER BUMPS (EVEN SMALL ONES) OR ROUGH PARKING LOTS AND ROADS. CHRYSLER WAS NOTIFIED, PROBLEM DOCUMENTED, DEALERSHIP WAS AWESOME BUT CHRYSLER REFUSED TO FIX. $2200 TO FIX THAT I DON'T HAVE, VEHICLE NOT REPAIRED AS IT REQUIRES SO MUCH EXPENSE AND AT LEAST 10 DAYS TO REPAIR. THAT'S 10+ DAYS I CAN'T AFFORD TO TAKE OFF WORK. WE WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER CHRYSLER PRODUCT AFTER 16 YEARS OF BRAND LOYALTY. DEALERSHIP TECH HAS APPLIED A TEMPORARY FIX SO THE BUS DOESN'T SHUT DOWN AND CAUSE MORE ISSUES, LIKE TOTAL VEHICLE SHUT DOWN. WILL PROVIDE VIN IF CONTACTED DIRECTLY. *TR
2008 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY LIMITED MINIVAN LOOSES POWER SHORTLY AFTER TAKE OFF. THIS GENERALLY OCCURS WITHIN 30 SECONDS OF TAKE OFF AT <5 MPH BUT HAS OCCURRED AT UP TO 15 MPH ONCE OR TWICE. WARMING UP ENGINE DOES NOT ALWAYS SEEM TO ELIMINATE PROBLEM. DRIVE VEHICLE EVERY DAY BUT POWER LOSS OCCURS RANDOMLY - MEANING NOT SET DAYS SUCH AS EVERY OTHER DAY OR ONCE A WEEK. COULD OCCUR MORE OR LESS. TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT COMES ON. ALMOST COMPLETE LOSS OF STEERING AND BREAKING ABILITY. TACHOMETER GOES TO 0. CAN'T REV ENGINE BUT HEATER AND RADIO REMAIN ON. ONCE CAR IS TURNED OFF AND KEY REMOVED, THEN TURNED BACK ON, PROBLEM GOES AWAY. CAR ALSO FEELS LIKE IT'S RUNNING OUT OF GAS OR IS GOING TO STALL AFTER TAKE OFF AT DIFFERENT TIMES DURING THE DAY. OFTEN WHEN I LEAVE WORK FOR LUNCH OR LEAVE TO RETURN HOME. CAR HAS YET TO SHUT OFF COMPLETELY IN THIS SITUATION. OCCURS MOSTLY BETWEEN 20-40 MPH BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY. REMAINS BETWEEN 1-5 MINUTES AND THEN WORKS NORMALLY AGAIN. TOOK IT FOR INSPECTION THE WEEK OF MARCH 17. COULDN'T DUPLICATE PROBLEM. COMPUTER LIGHTS NOT ON THOUGH ABS SENSOR WAS FOUND THROUGH DIAGNOSIS. SENSOR WAS CLEARED. CURRENTLY KEEPING A RUNNING LOG BEFORE TAKING IT BACK TO MECHANIC FOR FURTHER DIAGNOSIS. *TR
WE'RE FOLLOWING UP ON OUR VEHICLE INVOICE AND RECEIPTS SENT TO CHRYSLER CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE, P.O BOX 21-8007 AUBURN HILLS, MI 48321-8007. IT HAS BEEN OVER 3 MONTHS AND WE STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED THE PROPER REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE RECALL. WE SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED OUR PAYMENT WITHIN 60 DAYS AS DOCUMENTED IN THE RECALL NOTIFICATION. THE RECALL # IS L25/ NHTSA 14V-373 DUE TO THE FREQUENCY OPERATED BUTTON IGNITION KEY WHICH WOULD CAUSE THE ENGINE TO SHUT OFF. PLEASE CONTACT US WITH THE STATUS OR UPDATE TO THIS RECALL. *TR
I WAS DRIVING TO THE STORE AT APPROX. 40 MPH WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN I NOTICED MY DASHBOARD AND MY FUEL GAGE WENT DOWN , MY SPEED DROPPED I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT WAS HAPPENING . MY CAR WAS SLOWING DOWN BUT SINCE I WAS GOING DOWNHILL I COASTED. I REALIZED MY ENGINE HAD SHUT OFF. I PANICKED BUT THANKFULLY THOUGHT TO TURN THE IGNITION SWITCH AND THE CAR TURNED BACK ON. I THOUGHT IT WAS A FLUKE. BUT THIS ISSUE HAS OCCURRED SEVERAL TIMES WHILE DRIVING. THE SAME SCENARIO. I REALIZED BY JUST BUMPING THE KEY IT TURNS OFF THE ENGINE. IF I TURN MY IGNITION AND IF I DON'T HOLD IT LONG ENOUGH, IT WILL MOVE BACK TO OFF POSITION. I MEAN I BARELY BUMP IT AND IT CAN TURN OFF. IT HAS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING AT LEAST 4 TIMES. I HAVE NOT GONE TO MY CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO PAY AN OUT OF POCKET EXPENSE AND I NO LONGER HAVE THE WARRANTY ON IT. *TR
I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE QUALITY AND SERVICE OF THE CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY 2008 AND THE CHRYSLER CORPORATION. ON THANKSGIVING 2013 AS MY FAMILY AND I PREPARED TO ATTEND OUR FAMILY DINNER GATHERING WE WERE LEFT SITTING AS THE CAR WOULD NOT CRANK. WE HAD SOME OF THE MAIN COURSE DISHES INCLUDING THE TURKEY OUR THANKSGIVING WAS RUINED. WE WERE ALL DEVASTATED. THE KEY READ 'BADKEY' ,WE TRIED EVERYTHING WE COULD TO NO AVAIL. A FEW DAYS LATER AFTER MORE FEVERISH ATTEMPTS THE CAR CRANK BUT WE WOULD HAVE TO ATTEMPT SEVERAL TIMES WITH IN-BETWEEN READING OF BADKEY. I CALLED CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP TO FIND OUT HOW MUCH TO REPLACE THE KEY THEY SAID ABOUT $300.00, FOR A KEY! I FOUND ONE ONLINE MUCH CHEAPER TOOK IT TO CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP ONLY TO BE CHARGED NEARLY $100.00 TO PROGRAM A KEY THAT TAKES ABOUT 5 MINUTES TO DO. AUGUST 15TH 2014 I AM PREPARING TO GO RUN ERRANDS AND THE CAR ONCE AGAIN READS BADKEY. FINALLY AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS IT CRANKS ONCE MORE THAT DAY. LATER THAT NIGHT AND STILL RIGHT NOW ITS NOT WORKING READING BADKEY. I ORDERED ANOTHER KEY TOWED THE CAR TO CHRYSLER AGAIN ONLY TO BE TOLD ITS THE WIN MODULE THAT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, ITS NOT READING THE KEY TO PROGRAM IT. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND OUT THAT THIS A RECURRING PROBLEM WITH THE CHRYSLER VEHICLES WITH THE FOB KEYS. I ALSO FOUND THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE 2009 BUT NOT THE 2008 WIN MODULE;SAME ISSUE IN BOTH VEHICLES. COUNTLESS PEOPLE HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT IT ONLY TO BE BRUSHED OFF EITHER YOU PAY TO FIX IT OR YOUR JUST OUT OF A CAR. THATS ABSURD TO NOT REPLACE/RECALL A PART THAT IS CLEARLY BAD ON THE VEHICLE JUST DIFFERENT MODELS.I WISH I KNEW THEY DIDN'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS BEFORE I PURCHASED A CHRYSLER 200 2014. HAD JUST GASSED UP TO A FULL TANK. I LEFT GAS STATION AND HIT APROX. 40 MPH AND ENGINE DIED. DRIVEN APROX QTR MILE FROM GAS STATION. HAS HAPPENED EVERYTIME I FILL UP TANK SINCE THE FIRST INCIDENT. *TR
VEHICLE IS HAVING ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. THESE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS ARE CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SHUT OFF WHILE OPERATING, LIGHTS TO TURN ON AND OFF, HORN TO SOUND AND WINDSHIELD WIPERS AND WASHERS TO OPERATE RANDOMLY. THIS VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NEW FROM THE DEALER AND HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM WHEN NEW.IT WAS REPAIRED AND NOW IS DOING IT AGAIN ONLY MORE SEVERELY. THERE ARE MANY REPORTS OF SIMILAR PROBLEMS WITH THIS VEHICLE EXPERIENCING THIS PROBLEM. IN SOME CASES THE CRUISE CONTROL STARTS OPERATING ON ITS OWN AND ACCELERATING. THIS NEEDS TO BE A RECALL. *TR
ANTIFREEZE SPRAYED OVER THE ENTIRE ENGINE COMPARTMENT MAKING THE CAR SMOKE FROM ANTIFREEZE SPILLING ONTO THE ENGINE MANIFOLD. THE HEATER HOSE ASSEMBLY, THE "Y" THAT SEPARATES IS CRACKED AT THE MOLDED PORTION OF THE WHERE THE TO PARTS MEET. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR INTAKE VALVE WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

2008 CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO THE WIRELESS IGNITION NODE MODULE RECALL NOTICE. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED THERE WERE TIMES, WHEN IT WAS DIFFICULT TO REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION.*JB ALSO, THE CLOCK SPRING WAS REPLACED. UPDATED 12/15/14*JB
ABOUT TO GET ONTO A MAJOR HIGHWAY WHEN SMOKE STARTED TO COME FROM UNDER THE HOOD. PULLED OVER TO A GAS STATION AND FOUND ANTIFREEZE SPRAYED OVER THE ENTIRE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. MECHANIC AT THE GARAGE FOUND THAT THE REAR COOLANT HEATER HOSE WAS CRACKED WHERE IT ATTACHES TO THE ENGINE. HE SAID THE Y DESIGN IS A BAD FLAW AND VERY COMMON. HE SAID NO REASON WITH ONLY 58,500 MILES SHOULD THAT HAVE CRACKED ALREADY. VAN HAD TO BE TOWED 32 MILES TO THE NEAREST CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP, VAN IS STILL UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY. *TR
THE VALVE STEM BROKE OFF AFTER WE WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THE TIRES TESTS. TPMS WAS SET OFF BY THE FIRST STEM REPLACEMENT WE HAD TWO MONTHS EARLIER. WE NOW HAVE TWO REPLACEMENT VALVES ON OUR TOWN & COUNTRY. I DON'T EVEN KNOW IF THE REPLACEMENT ARE FROM THE SAME FAULTY SUPPLIER IN CHINA. BUT THE STEM ARE MADE OF THE SAME METAL RATHER THAN BRASS. PLEASE GET A RECALL OF THESE ITEMS. THE MANUFACTURER WILL DO NOTHING UNTIL SOMEONE GETS HURT AND IT DOES ME NO GOOD TO REPLACE THEM IF THEY CONTINUE TO USE THE SAME FAULTY PARTS. *TR

MY 2008 CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY LOSES POWER WHEN STARTING CAR BUT ALSO WHEN DRIVING IN NORMAL ROADWAY CONDITIONS. NO OTHER KEYS ARE ON THE KEY RING. I HAVE HAD IT AT THE DEALER 3 TIMES FOR LOSS OF POWER ISSUES. FIRST TIME THE WEN MODULE WAS REPLACED WHEN CAR WOULD LOSE POWER WHILE DRIVING AND HAD TROUBLE RE-STARTING. REPAIR SEEMED TO HELP FOR ABOUT TWO MONTHS BUT THEN CAR LOST POWER BUT WOULD RESTART ONCE CAR CAME TO A STOP. FIRST TIME AT DEALER WAS TOLD CAR WOULD NOT COOPERATE AND THEY COULD NOT GET THE CAR TO STOP WHEN THEY DROVE IT AND NO ERROR CODE. I SPECIFICALLY ASKED ABOUT THE IGNITION AND WAS TOLD IT WAS DEFINITELY NOT THE IGNITION. WAS TOLD TO BRING IT BACK IF IT HAPPENED AGAIN - IT HAD HAPPENED EVERYDAY THE PREVIOUS WEEK INCLUDING 3 TIMES IN ONE DAY. TOOK THE CAR BACK AND WAS TOLD THEY FOUND THE PROBLEM AND REPAIRED BUT LOST POWER ON WAY HOME. WILL BE TRYING A DIFFERENT DEALER IN THE NEXT COUPLE DAYS BUT CAR LOST POWER AGAIN TODAY. FORTUNATELY, NO ACCIDENT YET BUT AM EXTREMELY CAREFUL WHEN DRIVING AND AM LIMITING MY DRIVING TO ESSENTIAL SHORT TRIPS. THE CAR MAKES A CLICK WHEN LOSS OF POWER AND KEY IS NO LONGER IN "ON" POSITION. THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM ON THIS VAN IS POSSESSED. THE HORN WILL GO OFF ON IT'S OWN. THE WIPERS WILL START GOING BACK AND FORTH. SOMETIMES THE DOORS WON'T UNLOCK. THE SLIDING DOOR HAS CLOSED ON MY SON. THE TRANSMISSION WON'T GO OUT OF FIRST GEAR. I'VE TAKEN IT TO MECHANICS AND THEY LOOK AT ME LIKE I'M CRAZY. I'VE READ ABOUT MULTIPLE OWNERS HAVING THIS SAME PROBLEM AND HOW FRUSTRATED THEY ARE WHEN TRYING TO GET IT FIXED. THESE PROBLEMS HAPPEN AT ANY TIME REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE VEHICLE IS DRIVING OR IF IT IS STATIONARY. CHRYSLER NEEDS TO RECALL THESE VEHICLES AND ISSUE A FULL REIMBURSEMENT. THEY'RE NOT SAFE!

USED KEYFOB TO UNLOCK VAN AND HORN STARTED HONKING (SHORT BLASTS) CONTINUALLY, WIPERS/WASHER ACTIVATED, ALL LIGHTS IN DASH STARTED FLASHING SHOWING AN 8 IN GEAR INDICATOR, HEADLIGHTS STARTED FLASHING, DOORS LOCKED, FANS START RUNNING, SOLENOID STARTS CLICKING, IT APPEARS THAT EVERYTHING ELECTRICAL UNDER THE HOOD EXCEPT THE STARTER IS ACTIVATED. *TR
ON 10/06/2013 OUR 2008 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY TOURING EDITION (WITHOUT ALARM SYSTEM) WAS PARKED UNDER CARPORT AND FOR NO REASON THE HORN STARTED HONKING (BEEP...BEEP..BEEP..CONSTANTLY), BOTH FRONT AND REAR WIPERS & WASHERS STARTED RUNNING, DOOR LOCKS STARTED CONTINUOUSLY LOCKING/UNLOCKING, AND GAUGES IN DASH WERE SHOWING RANDOM AND UNUSUAL READINGS. ON 12/18/2014 WHILE ON THE ROAD WITH CRUISE CONTROL SET AT 65M.P.H. THE HORN STARTED HONKING IN THE SAME MANNER, WIPERS/WASHERS STARTED RUNNING, AND DASH GAUGES MALFUNCTIONED. IN BOTH INSTANCES THE ONLY WAY TO SHUT IT ALL OFF WAS TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY FOR A FEW DAYS. THERE HAVE BEEN A FEW OCCASIONS WHEN THE HORN RANDOMLY STARTS HONKING IN THE SAME MANNER BUT STOPS AFTER JUST A FEW SECONDS. *TR
