WIFE TOOK SON TO DOCTORS OFFICE AND VAN RAN FINE. CAME OUT OF OFFICE AND CAR WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF PARK NOR WOULD IT START. LIKE A DEAD BATTERY. HAVE A BRAND NEW BATTERY IN THE CAR SO THAT IS NOT THE ISSUE. AFTER TRYING TO START THE CAR WITH A JUMP SEVERAL TIMES WE GAVE UP. I THEN TRIED ONE MORE TIME AND THE CAR STARTED. AFTER CAR WAS STARTED I TOUCHED THE KEY FOB IN THE IGNITION AND THE CAR SHUT OFF. WAS ABLE TO GET THE CAR TO START BY WIGGLING THE FOB AS I TURNED THE CAR OVER. NOW ON 10/04/13 CAR IS DOING THE SAME THING EXCEPT THIS TIME IT DID IT WHILE GOING DOWN THE ROAD. CAR SHUT OFF AFTER HITTING A BUMP IN THE ROAD AND I WAS ABLE TO COAST TO A STOP. LUCKILY THERE WERE NO STOP SIGNS OR CARS AHEAD OF ME SINCE THERE IS NO POWER TO THE BRAKES. GOT THE CAR STARTED AGAIN AND IT IS THE SAME WAY EVERY TIME NOW. HAVE TO GIGGLE THE FOB IN THE IGNITION CYLINDER TO GET IT TO START. SEEMS TO BE A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE HERE. AND TO FIND OUT THAT THIS IS UNDER RECALL FOR THE EXACT SAME PART FOR THE 2009 MODELS IS TROUBLING SINCE SOME OF THE LATER 2008 MODELS ALSO HAVE THE SAME FAULTY IGNITION SWITCH. SEEMS TO ME THAT CHRYSLER NEEDS TO MAN UP TO THIS AND DO THE RIGHT THING. *TR
THE VEHICLE WILL SUDDENLY DIE WHILE IN MOTION. THE IGNITION MUST BE TURNED OFF BEFORE IT WILL RESTART. THEREFORE, WE MUST COME TO A COMPLETE STOP. VERY DANGEROUS ON A BUSY STREET. FORTUNATELY, I WAS ABLE TO RECENTLY COAST OFF THE HIGHWAY TO RESTART. IT WILL ALSO HAVE ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTION SUCH AS ALL THE GAUGES INTERMITTENTLY SHUTTING OFF AND NOT STARTING. *TR
MY VAN WILL JUST TURN ITSELF OFF WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING AND YOU LOSE ALL POWER STEERING AND ETC. WE HAVE HAD IT TO THE DEALERSHIP 3 TIMES. I BELIEVE IT SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE IGNITION SWITCH RECALL BUT I HAVE CONTACTED THE CHRYSLER 1-800 NUMBER AND CONTACTED THEM THRU THEIR WEBSITE AND THEY WON'T HELP ME. THE REPRESENTATIVE THRU THEIR 1-800 NUMBER WANTS ME TO PAY TO TAKE IT TO ANOTHER CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP AND PAY THEM TO LOOK AT IT AFTER I HAVE ALREADY PAID $800 TO MY LOCAL ONE TO HAVE A SWITCH REPLACED THAT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. *TR
PURCHASED A USED 2008 CHRYSLER T&C. DROVE HAVE HAD INTERMITTENT ELECTRICAL ISSUES IN THE PAST YEAR (APPROX. 12 TIMES) DIFFERENT ELECTRICAL ITEMS WOULD MALFUNCTION. RADIO WOULD NOT TURN UP OR DOWN BUT COME ON AT A LOUD VOLUME AND STAY THERE. CABIN LIGHTS WOULD NOT WORK THEN WORK THAN NOT. BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY COULD NOT TELL US WHAT WAS WRONG. CLOCK WAS NOT WORKING FOR A WHILE. MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT THE ALARM, LIGHTS, AND DOORS WOULD OPEN RANDOMLY. RETURNED TO THE VEHICLE WITH DOOR OPEN WHEN NO ONE HAD BEEN IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. BROUGHT IT TO AN ELECTRICAL SPECIALIST WHO COULD NOT DIAGNOSE. REPLACED THE BATTERY AND TESTED THE ALTERNATOR. WAS NOT EITHER AS THE PROBLEMS PERSIST. REPLACED THE 6 MOS. OLD BATTERY ON THURSDAY AND IT WAS DEAD BY SUNDAY. BROUGHT IT TO THE GARAGE BUT NO ONE CAN TELL US WHY CURRENTLY WE HAVE NO HORN OR STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS AS WELL AS ALL CABIN LIGHTS ARE OUT. *TR
WE WERE EXITING A PARKING LOT AND PULLING OUT ONTO A MAIN ROAD WHEN THE HORN STARTED HONKING, THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS STARTED FULL SPEED (BOTH FRONT AND BACK WITH CONSTANT WIPER FLUID), THE INTERIOR LIGHTS FLASHED, ALL THE INTERIOR WARNING LIGHTS WERE ON, AND THE HEADLIGHTS SHUT OFF. WE PULLED INTO THE NEXT PARKING LOT & TURNED THE VAN OFF, BUT THE HORN KEPT GOING OFF FOR AT LEAST 5 MINUTES ALONG WITH THE WIPER, LIGHTS, ETC. WE STARTED IT UP AGAIN WITH THE SAME RESULTS. WE WERE SO THANKFUL WE WERE NOT ON THE HIGHWAY YET AS WE COULD EASILY HAVE BEEN KILLED! WE LEFT THE VAN IN A NEARBY PARKING LOT FOR THE NIGHT AND TRIED TO TAKE IT TO A DEALERSHIP THE NEXT MORNING, BUT THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY OPEN APPTS TILL LATER THIS WEEK. I'M NOT SURE I COULD EVER FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE AGAIN AS I'VE READ A LOT OF THE SAME COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS MAKE/MODEL/YEAR AND IT SEEMS LIKE IT KEEPS HAPPENING WITHOUT WARNING. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS & I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING MY CHILDREN AROUND IN IT! *TR
I JUST LEFT MY WORK RELATED TRAINING CLASS AROUND 4:45PM AND IT WAS RAINING ON THAT DAY. I NOTICED THAT I TURNED ON MY WIPERS, THE FRONT LIGHT AND I IMMEDIATELY NOTICED THAT MY WIPER, THE FRONT LIGHT, SIGNAL LIGHT, HEATER AND AIR CONDITION STOPPED WORKING SUDDENLY. I TRIED TO ADJUST MY WIPER SPEED BUT COULD NOT DO ANY THING, TO EVEN TURN IT OFF WAS NOT POSSIBLE. MY SIGNAL FAILED TO WORK, MY HORN ALSO FAILED. I PARKED TO SEE WHAT MIGHT BE THE PROBLEM BUT COULD NOT ELECTRONICALLY UNLOCK THE DOORS, ALSO I NOTICED THAT WHEN I TURN THE IGNITION KEY TO ON POSITION, THE DASH LIGHT ON THE BOARD WAS OFF, WIPER IS MOVING WITHOUT BEEN TURNED ON AND THE LIGHT WAS NOT ON AFTER I STARTED THE VEHICLE. THIS IS A POTENTIAL DANGER AND THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVEN TO TEN TIMES AND THESE ONLY HAPPENED WHEN IT WAS RAINING OR DURING COLD WEATHER. *TR
I JUST HAD MY FRONT BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS REPLACED. I HAD THEM REPLACED ON 2/14/2012. MY REAR ROTORS AND PADS ARE OK, BUT NEED TO BE REPLACED SOON. I HAD THEM REPLACED LESS THAN A YEAR AGO. I HAVE SEARCHED ON THE INTERNET THIS SAME ISSUE FOR MY YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL, AND I FOUND HUNDREDS UPON HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS. CHRYSLER NEEDS TO RECALL THE BRAKE SYSTEM...ONE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO REPLACE THE BRAKES AND ROTORS EVERY YEAR. *TR
I OWN A 2008 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. I RECEIVED NOTIFICATION (AT LEAST A YEAR AGO IF NOT LONGER) OF L25/NHTSA 14V-373. HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE EVERY TIME I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP. I BELIEVE THE MANUFACTURER HAS EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THIS RECALL REPAIR. MY VEHICLE HAS EXPERIENCED A FAILURE AT LEAST FIVE TIMES. THE FIRST FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,000. YESTERDAY, I RECEIVED R03/NHTSA 14V-373. I AGAIN CALLED THE DEALERSHIP REGARDING BOTH NOTIFICATIONS AND WAS AGAIN TOLD THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS. I ASKED WHEN THEY WOULD RECEIVE THE PARTS AND WAS TOLD THEY DON'T KNOW. I ASKED HOW I WOULD KNOW WHEN THEY WERE AVAILABLE AND THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THAT I COULD GET ON A LIST OF ABOUT 300 THEY HAD TO CALL AND THEY WOULD GET TO ME WHEN THEY COULD OR I COULD JUST KEEP CALLING BACK.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN MY RESIDENTIAL STREET TRAVELING < 25MPH TAKING MY 3 YOUNG CHILDREN TO SCHOOL WHEN I VEERED TO THE RIGHT AROUND OUR CURVED STREET AND THE TRACTION CONTROL AND ABS BRAKES BEGIN TO KICK IN CAUSING THE CAR TO SLOW TO ALMOST A STOP WITHOUT TOUCH THE BRAKES AND CREATING A LOUD RUBBING NOICE. I PROCEEDED DOWN THE STREET AND THE SAME PROBLEM KEPT HAPPENING EVERYTIME. I TRIED TO TURN LEFT OR RIGHT. THIS WAS A HUGE SAFTEY CONCERN FOR ME AND MY FAMILY AS THIS COULD HAVE HAPPENED WHILE WE WERE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY OR IN FRONT OF THE CHILDREN'S SCHOOL. I BROUGHT IT TO A LOCAL CERTIFIED MECHANIC AND THEY DIAGNOSSED THE PROVLEM AS A CLOCK SPRING ISSUE. WHILE RESEARCH CLOCK SPRINGS, I FOUND INFORMATION THAT STATED THAT A CLOCK SPRING SHOULD NOT HAVE ANY FUNTIONING PROBLEMS IN VEHICLES WITH LESS THAN 70,000 MILES.
I'VE BEEN DRIVING ALONG ABOUT 60 AND NEEDED TO ACCELERATE QUICKLY AND FLOORED IT TO PASS, THE ACCELERATOR HAS STUCK AND I'VE HAD TO USE MY BRAKES TO GET IT UNSTUCK. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE THIS MONTH. *TR
THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START.ALL OTHER ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS WORKED. THE ONLY WAY TO START THE VAN WAS TO TURN THE KEY ON AND OFF RAPIDLY SEVERAL TIMES AND THEN IT WOULD START. WE TOOK THE VAN TO THE DEALER AND THEY REPLACED THE STARTER. THE VAN WORKED FOR A FEW DAYS AND THEN IT WOULD NOT START. WE TOOK THE VAN BACK TO THE DEALER BUT THEY CAN'T FIX THE PROBLEM. *TR
THE KEY WILL NOT REMOVE FROM THE IGNITION. CHRYSLER HAS REPLACED MY KEY TWICE THINKING THAT WAS THE SOLUTION. IT WAS NOT. CURRENTLY THE ONLY WAY TO GET THE KEY OUT OF MY IGNITION IS TO - LEAVE MY KEYS IN MY CAR UNTIL MY BATTERY DIES OR UNHOOK MY BATTERY TO REMOVE THE KEY. I'VE BEEN TOLD BY A CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP THAT THIS IS SOMETHING CHRYSLER IS 'LOOKING INTO' AS A POTENTIAL RECALL AND THAT ONLY CHRYSLER DEALERSHIPS ARE ALLOWED TO FIX THIS. SO I AM NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE ANYONE ELSE FIX IT BUT THEM (FOR TOP DOLLAR). MY OPTIONS ARE PAY UPFRONT FOR CHRYSLER TO FIX AND IT HOPE TO BE REIMBURSED IF THE RECALL GOES THROUGH. *TR
I AM FILING A COMPLAINT BECAUSE MY AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON AND THE DEALERSHIP DOES NOT SEEM TO THINK THEY SHOULD FIX IT. MY VAN ONLY HAS ABOUT 54,000 MILES ON IT AND THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT THEY SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR. IN EARLIER MODELS OF THIS VEHICLE THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL ON THE PART THAT CONTROLS THE AIR BAGS AS WELL AS THE CRUISE CONTROL, HORN AND OTHER STEERING WHEEL COMPONENTS. THEY HAVE OBVIOUSLY NOT FIXED THE PROBLEM CORRECTLY. THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD RECALL THE PART AGAIN AND FIX ALL VEHICLES THAT ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM. THE FACT THAT THEY WILL NOT TAKE RESPNSIBILITY TO FIX THIS PART THAT MAY SAVE SOMEONES LIFE IS IRRESPONSIBLE AND UNETHICAL. *TT
BEGINNING IN AUGUST OF 2013 MY CAR STALLED (COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN...LIGHTS, ENGINE, POWER STEERING, ETC.) WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON A MAJOR PARKWAY. IT WAS NIGHT AND NO OTHER CAR WAS NEAR ME (THANKFULLY), AND I SLOWLY GLIDED TO THE SIDE. IT TOOK A LOT OF EFFORT SINCE I DID NOT HAVE ANY POWER STEERING OR LIGHTS. I HAD A FRIEND, MY DAUGHTER AND MY DAUGHTER'S FRIEND IN THE CAR WITH ME. WE WERE ALL VERY FRIGHTENED. I BROUGHT THE CAR INTO MY DEALERSHIP (MEADOWLAND CHRYSLER IN CARMEL) NEW YORK. AT THAT TIME THEY COULD NOT FIND CAUSE. AFTER THAT IT HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES AND I BROUGHT THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER AND EACH TIME THEY TOLD ME THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. A NUMBER OF MONTHS BACK, I RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE (L25/NHTSA 14V-373) DESCRIBING THE VERY SAME SITUATION. AT THAT TIME THEY SAID THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PART TO FIX THE PROBLEM. IT HAS BEEN MONTHS SINCE THIS RECALL, I HAVE FOLLOWED THEIR SUGGESTIONS, TAKEN THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER - BUT STILL NO PART. THE FREQUENCY OF MY CAR STALLING WHILE IN MOTION HAS INCREASED. IT HAPPENED ON I-84 AT NIGHT AND ANOTHER CAR ALMOST PLOWED INTO ME. I FEAR FOR THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY AND MYSELF. I HAVE CONTACTED CHRYSLER AND THEY SAY THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO FOR ME BUT WAIT FOR THE PART. I HAVE KEPT MY COPIES OF CORRESPONDENCE WITH THEM. I DO NOT HAVE THE MONEY AT THIS TIME TO PURCHASE A NEW CAR AND DRIVING THIS CAR IS EXTREMELY UNSAFE FOR ME AND MY PASSENGERS AND ANY OTHER CAR THAT HAPPENS TO BE ON THE ROAD NEAR ME. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE HAVING THE VEHICLE SERVICED, HE WAS ADVISED THAT THE EGR VALVE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 75,417.
CAR STARTED SMOKING ON NEAR DRIVERS SIDE WITH AN AWFUL SMELL. WAS ABLE TO DRIVE TO A DEALER WHO DETERMINED THAT THE REAR HEATER HOSE ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPLACE. FROM WHAT I CAN DETERMINE FROM RESEARCHING THAT CHRYSLER KNOWS THE "Y" PLASTIC PART IS FAULTY AND DOES NOT SELL JUST THE "Y" PART OF THE UNIT. CONSUMERS ARE FORCED INTO BUYING A HEATER HOSE AND LINE ASSEMBLY FOR $115. LABOR AND PARTS COST $290.00; THEN OF COURSE, THE REST OF THE HOSES NEED TO BE REPLACED FOR ANOTHER $430 FOR A TOTAL OF $660.00. THIS PLASTIC PIECE IS FAULTY AND COULD CAUSE TERRIBLE DAMAGE.
MY 2008 MINIVAN STARTED GOING ELECTRICALLY HAYWIRE WHILE DRIVING AND I IMMEDIATELY DROVE TO A NEARBY DEALER. I PULLED INTO SERVICE AREA WITH HORNS BLOWING, WINDSHIELD WIPERS AND FLUID GOING FULL TILT CONSTANTLY, WITH ALL SWITCHES IN THE OFF POSITION. I HAD TO KEEP MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE SO THE CAR WOULDN'T GET AWAY FROM ME AND PLOW INTO SOME ONE OR THING! AFTER I GOT INTO THE SERVICE AREA EVERYTHING STOPPED. IN A FEW MINUTES ONE OF THE MANAGERS CRANKED THE CAR A COUPLE OF TIMES AND TOLD ME THAT IT WOULD BE BETTER TO HAVE THE CAR BROUGHT BACK WHEN IT HAD THE SAME SYMPTOMS AGAIN. THEY SAID IT IS EASIER TO FIND THE PROBLEM. SO I LEFT AND WENT ON LINE AND FOUND HUNDREDS OF SIMILAR INCIDENTS FROM OTHER OWNERS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED AND THE ENTIRE INSTRUMENT PANEL WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE POWER STEERING FAILED AND WAS UNABLE TO APPLY THE BRAKES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WIN MODULE AND IGNITION SWITCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,029 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 86,000.
I WAS CLEANING BEHIND THE DRIVERS SIDE, MIDDLE ROW SEAT WITH A SHOP VAC. I WANTED TO CLEAN UNDER THE SEAT SO I PULLED THE HANDLE TO DISENGAGE THE SEAT FROM THE FLOOR. THE BACK OF THE CHAIR RELEASED FROM THE FLOOR AND TIPPED FORWARD. I HAD MY RIGHT HAND ON THE BACK OF THE CHAIR TO ASSIST IT AND WHEN THE CHAIR CAME FORWARD THE SEAR ADJUSTED ITSELF AND SLID DOWN TOWARDS THE FLOOR. SOMEHOW, WHEN THE CHAIR SLID FORWARD IT TRAPPED MY RING FINGER ON MY RIGHT HAND IN WHAT I WOULD CALL THE SEAT RAILS. IT BASICALLY SMASHED IT FLAT AGAINST THE BACK OF A BOLT SO TIGHT I COULD NOT FREE IT. THIS WAS SURPRISING PAINFUL!! BECAUSE OF THE AWKWARD POSITION I WAS NOW TRAPPED IN. I COULD NOT GET MY FINGER OUT ON MY OWN. I HAD TO YELL FOR MY KIDS TO GET MY PHONE SO I COULD CALL MY WIFE TO HELP ME FREE MY HAND. I ENDED UP WITH A SMALL CUT AND BRUISED FINGER.
THE "Y" FITTING ON HEATER HOSE IS CRACKED AND LEAKING COOLANT, BIG PLUMES OF COOLANT STEAM ESCAPES FROM THE DRIVERS SIDE WHEEL WELL UNTIL LEAKING FLUID HAS EVAPORATED. UNTIL THE EVAP HAPPENS I CANNOT USE THE DEFROSTER AS IT TAKES THE CLIMATE CONTROL OFF RECYCLE AND THE COOLANT FUMES THEN ENTER THE CAB. CHRYSLER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE, AS WELL AS ANOTHER ON DECEMBER 5, AND REFUSED TO FIX OR HELP WITH REPAIR COSTS, VEHICLE STILL NOT REPAIRED, STILL LEAKING COOLANT. 2 SMALL CHILDREN, 5 YRS AND 14 MONTHS, RIDE IN THIS VEHICLE ON A DAILY BASIS AND CAN BE EXPOSED TO THE FUMES. ALSO CANNOT USE REMOTE START DUE TO THE FUMES LEAKING INTO CAB UNTIL THE VEHICLE KEY IS IN PLACE AND CLIMATE CONTROL RECYCLE KICKS IN, SO IN COLD WEATHER LIKE THIS WEEK I CAN NOT WARM MY VAN UP WITHOUT PHYSICALLY GOING OUT AND STARTING IT UP. IF I AM CONTACTED I WILL PROVIDE VIN. *TR
THE VAN STARTED SHUTTING IT SELF OFF DURING DRIVING. IT OCCURRED 7 TIMES IN THE MONTH OF AUGUST. BROUGHT IT TO AVONDALE CHRYSLER DEALER WITH NO RESULTS. THIS PROBLEM CONTINUED.WE BROUGHT IT TO MOORE AND THEY FOUND NOTHING. I THEN CONTACTED CHRYSLER IN DETROIT WHO IS SUPPOSE TO BE WORKING WITH US ON THIS, BUT IN THE MEAN TIME WE HAVE NO SAFE VEHICLE TO DRIVE. THEY DON'T SEEM TO BE IN ANY HURRY TO FIX THIS ISSUE.THE VAN SHUT OFF FOR THEM BUT THEY DIAGNOSE IT AND NOTHING SHOWS. IT IS LIKE SOMEONE TURNS THE KEY OFF. NO WARNING NO ENGINE LIGHT WARNING. SO HERE WE ARE AND YESTERDAY ON THE BUSIEST ROAD IN PHOENIX, THE VAN SHUT OFF AND ALMOST CAUSED A MAJOR CHAIN CAR ACCIDENT. I WAS SHAKING SO BAD. THIS VAN IS SO DANGEROUS RIGHT NOW AND SOMEONE HAS TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS. I AM KEEPING A FILE JUST IN CASE WE HAVE ACCIDENT DUE TO THIS AND WE HAVE HAD QUITE A FEW VERY CLOSE CALLS. WE EXPERIENCED MORE THAN ONCE VERY NEAR ACCIDENTS ON BUSY ROADS. TOO DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. I CAN'T BELIEVE THE AMOUNT OF PROBLEMS WITH THESE CHRYSLER'S SHUTTING DOWN AND FROM WHAT I REVIEWED ON LINE THERE ARE DIFFERENT YEARS INVOLVED. I HAVE THE 2008 ONE AND THEY RECALLED THE 2009 ONES. THE KEYS SYSTEM WOULD NOT LOCK/UNLOCK THE CAR CONSISTENTLY. MANUAL OPERATION OF UNLOCKING/LOCKING THE CAR WAS THE WORK AROUND. SUBSEQUENTLY THE IGNITION OR WIRELESS REMOTE SYSTEM HAS GONE BAD WHICH NOW AFFECTS THE IGNTION DISPLAYING A "BAD KEY" AND SOLUTION IS TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE WIRELESS REMOTE SYSTEM. THE WIRELESS REMOTE SYSTEM CONTROLS THE IGNITION, THE DOORS, THE ENGINE.

HAVE HAD AN ONGOING PROBLEM WITH CAR NOT STARTING WHEN KEY IS PUT INTO IGNITION. HAVE TO KEEP TRYING KEY UNTIL CAR FINALLY STARTS. NO CLICK, NOTHING. TOOK IT TO DEALERSHIP. HAVE HAD THE STARTER REPLACED, KEYS REPROGRAMMED AND STILL CONTINUED WITH THE SAME PROBLEM OFF AND ON. ON THIS LAST VISIT, 6/23/2014, I WAS TOLD IT WAS ELECTRICAL SYSTEM.........AND FOR THE FIRST TIME, DID NOT HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING FOR THE REPAIR. THERE IS A DEFECTIVE IGNITION SYSTEM. ORIGINALLY FINE, THEN A RECALL PUT IN A DEFECTIVE SYSTEM 4 YEARS AGO. RECEIVED ANOTHER RECALL NOTICE ABOUT 1 YEAR AGO ON THE IGNITION. CALLED THE DEALER, THEY SAID THEY DID NOT HAVE PARTS YET BUT WOULD CALL WHEN THEY DID. NO CALL EVER. THEN GOT ANOTHER RECALL, R03/NHTSA14V-373. WENT TO LUTHER CHRYSLER WHO SAID NO RECALL PARTS YET BUT MAYBE BEFORE AUGUST. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR YEARS AND THE MANUFACTURER HAS NEVER RESPONDED PROFESSIONALLY TO THE ISSUE. ON A SECOND ISSUE, I HAVE DEFECTIVE BRAKES. MADE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS TO CHRYSLER AND LOGGED A COMPLAINT WITH YOU. NO RESPONSE AND NO CURE. FINALLY WORKED WITH MIDAS TO UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM AND FINALLY FOUND THE FLAW. DEFECTIVE MOUNTING SURFACE FOR THE BRAKE ROTER. CAN ONLY RESURFACE THE BRAKES "ON THE CAR". BRAKES NOW WORK FINE BUT IT WAS NOT BECAUSE OF CHRYSLER.

THIS IS THE SECOND OCCURRENCE. TIRE WAS LOW - FRONT RIGHT - PULLED IN TO PUT AIR IN AND WHEN UNSCREWING THE VALVE CAP, THE STEM BROKE OFF INTO MY HAND. THE LEFT REAR WHEEL DID THE SAME THING 3 MONTHS AGO. LUCKILY THE STEM DID NOT FALL APART WHILE DRIVING AS THE TIRE WENT IMMEDIATELY FLAT. EACH TIME THE COST WAS OVER 85 PLUS THE CALL TO AAA TO ASSIST. I SAW THAT OTHERS WERE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. WITH ONLY 60000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE, THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR SHOULD NOT BE FAILING. FROM WHAT I CAN DETERMINE FROM RESEARCHING THAT CHRYSLER KNOWS THE "Y" PLASTIC PART IS FAULTY AND DOES NOT SELL JUST THE "Y" PART OF THE UNIT. IN JUNE, 2013, I WAS LEAVING THE PARKING LOT OF AN OFFICE BUILDING. AS I APPROACHED THE STREET THE CAR SHUT OFF; I WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30MPH. I APPLIED THE BRAKES AND STARTED IT. THE NEXT TIME, I WAS DRIVING OUT OF MY YARD AT ABOUT 5 MILES PER HOUR AND THE CAR SHUT OFF. WHEN I WENT OVER A CRACK IN THE STREET, THE CAR SHUT OF, I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 35 MPR. WHILE ON THE ENTRANCE RAMP TO THE INTERSTATE, THE CAR SHUT OFF; I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 50 MPR. BETWEEN MY HUSBAND AND ME, THESE INSTANCES HAVE OCCURRED MORE THAN 50 TIMES STARTING IN 2013. WE TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP, STONE MOUNTAIN CHRYSLER IN JUNE, 2013 AND THEY KEPT THE VEHICLE FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS. THEY STATED THEY COULD NOT FIND WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. WE CONTINUED TO CONTACT THEM ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND AGAIN TOOK THE CAR BACK ON OCTOBER 14, 2013, TO THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP, NOW CALLED GWINNETT CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP, IN STONE MOUNTAIN. THEY KEPT THE VEHICLE FOR TWO WEEKS, AND STILL STATED THEY COULD NOT DETERMINE THE PROBLEM. FINALLY, WE WERE TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT WE SHOULD RETRIEVE OUR VEHICLE AS THEY COULD NOT DETERMINE THE PROBLEM, WHICH WE DID ON OCTOBER 31, 2013. ON NOVEMBER 1, 2013, THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF AS I WAS DRIVING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY, AND I WAS DRIVING LESS THAN 5 MILES PER HOUR. WE HAVE COMMUNICATED OUR PROBLEM TO THE CONSUMER DEPARTMENT OF CHRYSLER IN DETROIT ON OCTOBER 29, 2013, AND HAVE HEARD NOTHING. WE CALLED THEM A FEW TIMES TO FOLLOW UP, AND WERE TOLD THEY WERE STILL "RESEARCHING THE PROBLEM.
