THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000.

WHILE HEADING TO MY SON'S HOCKEY TOURNAMENT IN MICHIGAN'S UP WITH A VAN LOADED WITH THE ENTIRE FAMILY, I WAS TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH WHEN THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO ACCELERATE FOR NO APPARENT REASON. I ATTEMPTED TO TURN OFF THE CRUISE BY PUSHING THE COAST BUTTON, I HIT THE BREAKS HOPING THAT WOULD STOP THE ACCELERATION (IT DIDN'T) AFTER ACCELERATING TO 80+ MPH, I BROKE THE CRUISE CONTROL LEVER OFF THE STEERING COLUMN AND PULLED ONTO THE SHOULDER. EVENTUALLY, THE VAN SLOWED AND THE ENGINE RPM'S DROPPED. IT WAS A HELLAVA WHITE KNUCKLE RIDE AND WE WERE ALL GLAD IT WAS OVER. HAVEN'T TRIED THE CRUISE CONTROL SINCE.
THERE IS A RECALL FOR THE REAR QUARTER VENT WINDOW SWITCH ON MY MOTHER'S 2010 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY MINIVAN. SHE HAS BEEN ON THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP'S LIST TO HAVE THIS REPLACED FOR ALMOST A YEAR. EVERY TIME WE CALL, THEY TELL US THAT THEY ARE GETTING CLOSE TO HER'S ON THE LIST AND THAT THEY ARE WAITING ON PARTS. SHE KEEPS GETTING A RECALL NOTICE IN THE MAIL EVERY COUPLE OF MONTHS, BUT THEY CONTINUE NOT TO FOLLOW THROUGH ON THE RECALL REPAIR. THE DEALERSHIP IS GULF CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP IN FOLEY, ALABAMA.

TIRE PRESSURE SENSORS ALWAYS READ DIFFERENTLY AND DISPLAY A WARNING IN THE VEHICLE INFORMATION SYSTEM EVEN IF ALL TIRE PRESSURE ARE CORRECT AND EXACTLY THE SAME.

THE VEHICLE WAS COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND RESTARTED AFTER A COUPLE OF MINUTES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WIND MODULE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WIND MODULE WAS REPLACED THREE TIMES IN 2015. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE, BUT HAD NOT MADE A DECISION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 102,800.
ENGINE/COOLANT ISSUE - 46000 MILES ON VEHICLE. WHILE DRIVING APPROX. 50MPH, BEGAN SEEING WHITE SMOKE AND SMELL OF COOLANT. UPON INSPECTING UNDER THE HOOD, OBSERVED COOLANT SPRAYING FROM SEAM AREA OF THE PLASTIC "Y" CONNECTOR OF THE HEATER HOSE. TEMPORARILY FIXED TO GET HOME, BUT WHILE PERFORMING INTERNET SEARCH, I CAN SEE THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM AND EVEN FOUND QUICK REPAIR KITS AND HOW TO VIDEOS. I'M UPSET THAT I CAN'T FIND ANY RECALL INFORMATION FOR SUCH A COMMON PROBLEM, BECAUSE OF A CHEAP PLASTIC PIECE AND THE FACT THAT ANYONE WITHOUT ANY MECHANICAL KNOWLEDGE COULD BURN UP THEIR ENGINE BECAUSE OF IT.
THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN AT A SLOW SPEED (LESS THAN 20 MPH IN A 35 MPH ZONE) THROUGH A NORMAL WATER PUDDLE (APPROXIMATELY 10 FEET LONG AND 4-6 INCHES DEEP) AND THE SPARE TIRE WHICH IS STORED UNDER THE VEHICLE CAME OFF AND WAS DRAGGING UNDER THE VEHICLE. THIS WAS A CITY STREET WITH NORMAL CURB AND GUTTER FOR RUN OFF. OTHER CARS WERE SLOWING DOWN AND DRIVING THROUGH THE PUDDLE WITHOUT INCIDENT. REPAIR COSTS ARE ESTIMATED AT $400+. THIS WAS REPORTED TO CHRYSLER AS WELL.

IT WAS RAINING OUT. I WAS DRIVING AND ALL OF A SUDDEN SAW SMOKE COMING FROM DRIVERS SIDE 3RD ROW WINDOW VENT SWITCH. I HAD TO PULL OVER AND PULL SWITCH OUT TO PUT OUT THE FIRE. FLAMES WERE COMING OUT. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED CHRYSLER 800 NUMBER. SHE SAID SHE WOULD EMAIL ME AND NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING.
ENGINE STOPS WHILE DRIVING. HAPPENS AT ANY SPEED UNDER ANY DRIVING CONDITIONS. IT IS NOT A TYPICAL "STALL" . IT IS JUST AS IF THE KEY WAS TURNED TO THE OFF POSITION. THE OCCURRENCE IS RANDOM. IT CAN HAPPEN MORE THAN ONCE A DAY OR SEVERAL DAYS APART.
VEHICLE ENGINE SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING IN A PARKING LOT PREPARING TO PULL ONTO A 4 LANE BUSY COUNTY ROAD, ALL OF THE SYSTEMS OTHER THEN BRAKES FAILING. IT WAS NOT THE KEY AS IT REMAINED IN THE ON POSITION NEVER MOVING. ONLY HAPPENS AFTER USING THE REMOTE STARTER. WE HAVE SINCE STOPED USING THE REMOTE STARTER AFTER THE 3RD TIME THE ISSUE HAPPENED. PAST ISSUES. ETC INOP. CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE PAST IDLE TODAY CAR WILL NOT TURN OVER STARTER WILL NOT EVEN CLICK CLOCK LOSSES TIME INTERMITTENT AND THEN WE HAVE ELECTRICAL ISSUES. I GUESS ITS CHRYSLERS WARNING SYSTEM TELLING THE OWNER THE CAR IS NOT GOING TO BE WORKING IN THE NEXT 2-3 DAYS HEAD LIGHTS OCCASIONALY WILL NOT TURN ON AND SOME TIMES WILL NOT TURN OFF CAR HAS BEEN INTO THE DEALER 8 TIMES FOR ELECTRICAL ISSUES AND EVERY TIME THEY TELL ME THEY CANNOT REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM AND SEND US ON OUR WAY AFTER REPROGRAMMING THE MAIN COMPUTER. EVERY TIME IT APPARENTLY IS A SEPERATE ELECTRICAL COMPONENT. AT LEAST THAT IS WHAT THEY TELL US. HOWEVER IT SEAMS TO ME THE COMPUTER FOR THE CAR MUST BE BAD AND OR THE SOFTWARE/ PROGRAMING IS SEVERLY FLAWED SINCE IT KEEPS FAILING. I THINK CHRYSLER IS PULLING A VW SCAM ON THE GOVERNMENT AND ITS CONSUMERS. FIX THE PROBLEM. WE HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS SINCE THE FIRST MONTH WE OWNED THIS AT THE TIME BRAND NEW CAR. BEEN IN THE SHOP 3 TIMES IN THE FIRST 6 MONTHS FOR ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTIONS AND INTERMITTENTLY EVER SINCE.
THE VEHICLE (2010 TOWN & COUNTRY) SUDDENLY SHUTS DOWN WHEN RUNNING BUT USUALLY TURNS ON AFTER SIMPLY PUSHING IN (NOT TURNING) THE IGNITION KEY. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY NOT COVERED UNDER CHRYSLER'S RECALL R03 (WIN MODULE), SINCE IT WAS MANUFACTURED AFTER THE CUTOFF DATE (JUNE 18. 2010). VEHICLE IS UNSAFE TO USE, SINCE VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOSSES AIRBAGS, BRAKES, STEERING AND POWER. VEHICLE IS NOW SUDDENLY SHUTTING OFF A LOT MORE OFTEN.

VAN WAS RUNNING, STARTING, AND DRIVING FINE. THEN ONE DAY IT WOULD NOT START, WHEN MY HUSBAND WENT TO LEAVE WORK. HE THOUGHT MAYBE HE LEFT THE LIGHTS ON IN THE VAN, AND ASKED SOMEONE TO JUMP HIS CAR. KEY FOBS WORK SPORADICALLY EVEN THOUGH BATTERIES HAVE BEEN CHANGED IN BOTH. MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE WHEN IT CUTS OUT WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WITH CHILDREN IN THE CAR. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS HOWEVER THE CUT OFF MANUFACTURE DATE IS LITERALLY 2 MONTHS BEFORE MY VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURED. NEED THIS ISSUE RESOLVED ASAP.

ALL OF THE ELECTRONICS IN THE CAR STILL OPERATED BUT, THERE WAS NO POWER STEERING OR BRAKES. HAD TO COAST THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO STOP. THE VEHICLE ENDED UP STOPPING ON A HILL BUT, WITHOUT THE BRAKES IT STARTED TO DRIFT BACKWARDS. AT THIS POINT THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WAS PUSHED TO GET THE VEHICLE TO STOP. THIS HAPPENED THE VERY NEXT DAY AS WELL. LUCKILY WE WERE NOT DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AS MY 3 CHILDREN IN THE VEHICLE. THIS COULD BE DEADLY IF DRIVING AT 60 MPH DOWN THE HIGHWAY.

I COMPLETELY LOST THE ABILITY TO STEER THE VEHICLE AS WELL. HAD TO PUT ON MY HAZARDS. STOP. PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK. TURN THE VEHICLE OFF. TURN IT BACK ON AND IT WOULD RUN AGAIN.
