WHILE DRIVING, THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS AND REAR HEAT CONTROLS BEGAN BEHAVING ERRATICALLY - FLASHING AS IF SOMEONE WAS PLAYING WITH THEM WHEN NO ONE ELSE WAS IN THE VEHICLE. THIS LASTED SEVERAL MONTHS. THEN THE VAN BEGAN STARTING VERY SLOWLY AND ONLY AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS BEFORE NOT STARTING AT ALL. DURING THIS TIME WE REPLACED THE BATTERY BELIEVING IT TO BE A BATTERY ISSUE. AFTER THE VAN WOULD NOT START, IT WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP WHERE WE WERE TOLD IT WAS A FUEL RELAY WHICH WAS INTEGRATED INTO THE FUSE PANEL AND THE ENTIRE THING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.
SINCE BUYING VAN IN 2011, WINDSHIELD WIPERS TURN ON INTERMITTENTLY WHEN THERE IS NO RAIN IN SIGHT. JUNE 2015 BOUGHT A NEW BATTERY AFTER I WAS UNABLE TO START THE CAR. SEEMED TO FIX ISSUE. APRIL 2016 AS I WAS DRIVING THROUGH NEIGHBORHOOD GOING 25 MPH CAR STALLED. WENT TO THE DEALER AFTER RESEARCHING STALLING ISSUE (MOST POSTS INDICATED A TIPM ISSUE) BUT DEALER DIDN'T SEEM TO KNOW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT NOR DID THEY CARE. WITHIN THE LAST MONTH THE CAR HAS NOT STARTED A HANDFUL OF TIMES. BATTERY WAS RETESTED AND IT WAS FINE. TWO DAYS AGO I WENT OUT OF TOWN AND WHEN I TRIED TO START CAR IT WOULD NOT START (IT FLASHED LIGHTS AND BLINKERS WENT OFF). TRIED STARTING IT REMOTELY WITH KEY AND THAT MADE THE ALARM GO OFF FOR SEVERAL MINUTES. ENDED UP HAVING TO TURN OFF RADIO AND A/C BEFORE VAN DECIDED TO START. I HAVE 3 KIDS TO TOW AROUND AND NO LONGER FEEL SAFE IN MY CAR!

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,445.
BLIND SPOT DETECTION SYSTEM FAILURE. THE SYSTEM HAD FAILED 8 MONTHS AGO AND NEEDED A CORRODED BLIND SPOT SENSOR ($1200) REPLACED. THE SYSTEM FAILED AGAIN AFTER 5 MONTHS. I JUST TURNED IT OFF TO AVOID THE CONSTANT WARNING CHIMES. LAST WEEK WHILE DRIVING SMOKE APPEARED IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. I STOPPED AND OPENED THE TAILGATE TO CLEAR THE SMOKE. THE INFO CENTER WARNED THAT THE REAR PARKING ASSIST SYSTEM HAD FAILED, AND THE REAR BACK UP CAMERA ALSO NO LONGER WORKED. THE DEALER SAYS BOTH BLIND SPOT SENSORS AND THE REAR WIRE HARNESS NEED TO BE REPLACED. THIS IS A VERY EXPENSIVE REPAIR FOR A 4 YEAR OLD VEHICLE.

THE BACKUP CAMERA WAS NOT DISPLAYING ON THE MONITOR. THE FUSE WAS BURNT OUT. WHEN THE FUSE WAS REPLACED SMOKE POURED OUT OF THE RIGHT REAR TAILLIGHT. DEALER SERVICE SAID THE SHORT IS BEING CAUSED BY CORRODED BLIND SPOT DETECTOR MODULE. THE BLIND SPOT DETECTOR MODULES HAD NOT FUNCTIONED FOR SEVERAL MONTHS.
I HAVE BEEN WAITING SINCE MAY 2015 FOR THE REPLACEMENT PART FOR MY REAR QUARTER VENT WINDOW. I AM STILL ON A WAITING LIST AND HAVE MANY, MANY MORE PEOPLE AHEAD OF ME. WHY WOULD IT TAKE SO LONG TO GET THE NECESSARY PART TO THE DEALERSHIP? THIS RECALL IS FROM JUNE 2014! I DRIVE WITH SMALL CHILDREN IN MY VAN EVERY DAY. THEY ARE STRAPPED INTO CAR SEATS AND I CAN'T IMAGINE THE HORROR IF A FIRE BROKE OUT. PLEASE PROVIDE A RESOLUTION.

I WAS DRIVING WITH MY CHILDREN THROUGH A PARKING LOT WHEN OUR VAN STARTED MAKING A HORRIBLE SOUND....WHEN I PULLED OFF TO THE SIDE AND GOT OUT I SAW THAT THE RIGHT REAR TIRE WASN'T WHERE IT SHOULD BE AND THERE WAS A MEDAL PART HANGING DOWN. WE HAD THE VAN TOWED TO MY MECHANIC, DAVE GRANDOMINICO, CONTACT #614-882-9965, WHO LOOKED AT OUR VAN THE NEXT DAY AND SAID THAT THERE WERE ONLY 2 BOLTS IN THE TRAILING ARM AND THOSE TWO BOLTS SNAPPED. HE SAID THAT THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN 4 BUT IT HE COULD SEE THAT THERE WAS NEVER 4 (NO MARKINGS OR SCRATCHES WHERE THERE WAS NO BOLTS INDICATING THEY HAD NEVER BEEN ADDED). DAVE RECOMMENDED THAT WE TAKE THE VAN TO A CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP SO THEY COULD DOCUMENT THE MANUFACTURING PROBLEM. DAVE THEN INSTALLED 2 BOLTS IN TO THE SLOTS WHERE THERE WAS NONE (SO THAT WE COULD DRIVE IT TO CHYRSLER); HE LEFT THE 2 SNAPPED BOLTS IN PLACE. HOWEVER, WHEN WE TOOK THE VAN TO CHRYSLER, THEY TOLD US (IN SO MANY WORDS) THAT WE COULDN'T PROVE THAT THERE WAS ONLY 2 BOLTS (SINCE DAVE HAD INSTALLED 2 NEW BOLTS), AND THEREFORE WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY $400 - $500 FOR A REPAIR AND THEY WERE TAKING NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE MATTER OUTSIDE OF REPAIRING IT.

BLIND SPOT INDICATORS BEGAN TO MALFUNCTION WITH INDICATORS IN MIRRORS REMAINING ON, AND DRIVER INFORMATION SYSTEM STATING THE BLIND SPOT INDICATOR SYSTEM FAILED. ALSO LOST REAR BACK-UP CAMERA SHORTLY THEREAFTER. PURCHASED THIS VAN AS A REPLACEMENT TO MY 2005 T&C WITH 280,000 MILES.
-JAN 2015- THE KEY WAS LODGED IN THE IGNITION AND WOULD NOT COME OUT. I HAD IT TOWED TO NEAREST CHRY DEALER TO FIX. - JAN TO MAY- CAR INTERMITTENTLY STALLS/WON'T START. SOMETIMES STARTS WITH A JUMP. -MAY- MECHANIC/BATTERY INSTALLED $268. -JUNE/JULY- CAR INTERMITTENTLY STALLS/WON'T START. STARTS IF YOU WAIT A WHILE. -AUGUST-WON'T START/WONT JUMP/STRANDED WITH KIDS/TOWED TO MECHANIC. -CHANGED MY BATTERIES IN MY KEY FOBS AT LEAST 3 TIMES IN 2015. -I AM CONSTANTLY STRANDED WITH MY CHILDREN AND SPEND DAYS WITHOUT MY CAR WAITING FOR MECHANICS TO FIND OUT THE PROBLEM. THE CHRYSLER DEALER INFORMS ME THAT IT'S A MINIMUM OF $200 JUST TO LOOK AT IT. IT WILL MOST LIKELY BE MORE IF IT'S ELECTRICAL AND THEY NEED A DAY OR TWO. I HAVE TO GET MY KIDS TO AND FROM SCHOOL AND CAN'T PAY FOR ANOTHER CAR. MECHANIC SAID TO LOOK AT BULLETINS/INFO ON TIPM AND WIN. OTHER CHRY YEAR/MAKES HAVE HAD EXACT SAME ISSUES AND WERE RECALLED. THERE IS A CLASS ACTION SUIT FOR THIS YEAR/MAKE AND MANY MORE. HOW AM I STILL DRIVING? I WAS GIVEN A TIP BY A MECHANIC: OPEN THE HOOD AND THEN THE FUSE BOX. REMOVE THE M27 FUSE. WAIT 10 SECONDS. REPLACE FUSE. START CAR. IT'S BEEN WORKING SO FAR! APPARENTLY, THIS CLEARS A SOFTWARE LOCKUP IN THE MODULE.
BLIND SPOT MONITORING INTERMITTENTLY WORKING. VERY DANGEROUS FOR LANE CHANGES

THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO MANEUVER TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD AND SUCCESSFULLY RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIPM FUSE BOX NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 107,000.

THE BLIND SPOT INDICATOR IS NOT WORKING. MANY TIMES WITHIN THE LAST YEAR AND EVEN THE YEARS BEFORE THAT, THE INDICATORS WOULD CHIME WHEN THERE WAS NOTHING AROUND TO SET THEM OFF. NOW THE TRIANGLES ON THE REAR VIEW MIRRORS ARE ON CONSTANTLY. THIS VAN IS NOT EVEN PAID OFF YET AND IT IS ALREADY FALLING APART. I THINK THIS MODULE SHOULD BE RECALLED. I HAVE NOTICED MANY POSTS THAT PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE VERY SAME PROBLEM. WHEN YOU BUY A NEW CAR YOU DO NOT WANT TO PAY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO FIX A PROBLEM BECAUSE OF A FAULTY PRODUCT. *TR

WE HAVE RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE VIA MAIL (P25/NHTSA 14V-234), AND THE DEALERSHIP HAS DISABLED THE DEFECTIVE PART BUT THEY HAVE NOT YET REPLACED THE DEFECTIVE PARTS NOW FOR MORE THAN 90 DAYS... THIS IS IN MY OPINION EXCESSIVE. THEY HAVE PRESSURED US TO BUY AN EXTENDED WARRANTY IN LIEU OF FIXING THE DEFECTIVE PART AT A COST OF ~$3,000.00. WE ARE AT THIS TIME REFUSING TO PAY THE EXTENDED ~$3,000 FOR SOMETHING THAT THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR. THE DEALERSHIP IN QUESTION IS ARRIGO OF SUNRISE FLORIDA. *TR
LAST MONTH MY VAN STARTED ACTING UP. NOT STARTING ALL THE TIME AND HAVING STRANGE ELECTRICAL GLITCHES. I ASSUMED IT WAS THE BATTERY. I REPLACED THE BATTERY AND NOW IT'S NOT STARTING AGAIN. I LOOKED ONLINE AND FOUND NUMEROUS PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME EXACT ISSUE. I AM NOW TOLD THIS IS GOING TO COST ME OVER A THOUSAND DOLLARS TO FIX. WE HAVE RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE FOR OUR VEHICLE REGARDING THE REAR QUARTER WINDOW SWITCH. MULTIPLE CALLS TO THE LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALERSHIPS HAVE ALL GOTTEN THE SAME RESPONSE...THE PART IS ON BACK ORDER AND THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN IT WILL BE IN. AND THEY WILL NOT TAKE DOWN OUR NAME AND CALL US WHEN IT COMES IN. THEY SUGGESTED JUST CALLING BACK EVERY FEW MONTHS. THIS IS QUITE FRUSTRATING. IN THE RECALL NOTICE IT SAID TO CONTACT IF THE DEALER COULD NOT REPLACE PART IN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME. I FEEL THAT THIS TIME FRAME IS NO LONGER REASONABLE.

WHEN DRIVING OUR CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY, 2011, THE VAN STALLED AND DIED AT AN INTERSECTION. AFTER A FEW CRANKS, THE ENGINE STARTED AGAIN. THEN AFTER TRAVELING ABOUT 200 FEET THE VAN DIED AGAIN AND THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT. I WAS ABLE TO LABOR IT INTO A PARKING LOT WHERE IT WAS TOWED AND THE DEALER COULD NOT PIN POINT AN ISSUE. EVERY MORNING IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO START. IT HAS SAT AT OUR HOME FOR TWO DAYS WITHOUT ANY LUCK OF STARTING IT. WE ARE WAITING UNTIL WEDNESDAY WHEN THE DEALER CAN SEE THE CAR AGAIN. EACH TIME IT IS COSTING US $90 FOR THEM TO LOOK AT IT. *TR

RE: RECALL P25. I TOOK MY CAR INTO CHRYSLER DEALER THIS AM. THEY SAID THEY DID NOT HAVE PART. MY CAR NEEDS THE PARTS FOR GREEN LIGHTS. IF I HAD BLUE LIGHTS, THEY HAVE PLENTY OF PARTS. I WAS TOLD THEY HAD NO IDEA WHEN THE PARTS WOULD COME IN. FIRST THE TECHNICIAN TOLD ME TO FOLLOW UP WITH HIM IN A FEW WEEKS. FINALLY HE SAID HE WOULD ORDER THE PART BUT DIDN'T THINK THERE WERE ANY, ANYWHERE. IT WOULD NOT HELP ME TO GO TO ANOTHER DEALER...NO ONE HAS THE PART. HE DID NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT DISCONNECTING THE WIRES (AS THE MESSAGE SUGGESTED WHEN I CALLED CHRYSLER). NOT HAPPY, I CALLED THE VEHICLE SAFETY HOTLINE AND GOT A REFERENCE #763877. THEY TOLD ME TO CALL CHRYSLER DIRECT. AFTER BEING ON HOLD WITH CHRYSLER FOR AN HOUR, I DECIDED TO WRITE UP THIS COMPLAINT. WHERE ARE THE PARTS FOR THE GREEN LIGHT CARS??? I WAS DRIVING SOUTHBOUND ON I-95, ON THE RIGHT LANE. I PASSED THE ENTRANCE AFTER CONNER STREET, AND AS I CONTINUED TO DRIVE, THERE WAS A HUGE POTHOLE WHICH WAS UNAVOIDABLE. AS A RESULT OF POTHOLE, MY RIMS CRACKED AND WHEELS LUMPED UP ON THE SIDES. I HAD TO REPLACE THE RIMS AND WHEELS ON MY VEHICLE. *TR
BLIND SPOT MONITORING SYSTEM (BSMS) MALFUNCTIONED AT LESS THAN 54,000 MILES AND 4 YEARS OF DRIVING. DEALER QUOTED COST TO REPAIR EXCEEDS $1100 PER SIDE. SYSTEM HAS BEEN DEACTIVATED AS THE INFORMATION SYSTEM DID NOT SEEM TO FUNCTION PROPERLY WITH THE BSMS TURNED ON. *TR
