This 2014 Town & Country stalls while driving, even when driving on the highway. It is extremely dangerous to me, and especially to my wife and children ! The check engine light comes on when it is about to stall. My ASE Certified mechanic read a P0302 trouble code. This means that #2 cylinder has a misfire. The mechanic replaced all spark plugs and coils, but the same missfire remains. The actual problem is a defective cylinder head on the left bank. This was determined by a cylinder leak-down test, which shows that #2 exhaust valve is leaking compression. This defective left (#2,4,6 cylinders) cylinder head is well known by all FCA Dealers. My dealer says that ALL of his mechanics have a great deal of experience doing this defective cylinder head replacement. Tens of thousands of left cylider heads have been replaced under an EXTENDED WARRANTY PROGRAM, issued and approved by FCA, which extends engine warranties on their 3.6 LITER ENGINES to 10 YEARS or 150,000 miles. When I try to get my vehicle's defective cylinder head replaced under the EXTENDED WARRANTY FCA PROGRAM, FCA says that they will only replace the defective cylinder head on 2011, 2012, and 2013 vehicles ! They will not cover my vehicle ! Please help, before this engine defect causes a major accident for my family.
LEAKING OIL SO I TOOK IT IN AND MECHANIC SAYS THE OIL FILTER HOUSING IS CRACKED AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. APPARENTLY IT'S PRETTY COMMON AMONG THESE VEHICLES AND HE'S HAVING A HARD TIME GETTING THE PART TO FIX IT. IT'S ON BACK ORDER.
GOING 65MPH ON MAJOR HIGHWAY WENT OFF ROAD TAKING OUT MULTIPLE BIG CONCRETE IN GROUND SIGNS. THEN WENT ON 2WHEELS SLAMMED BACK DOWN IN A DOWN HILL MEDIAN. NO AIRBAGS WAS DEPLOYED. TOWN & COUNTRY TOTAL LOSS. ENTIRE FRONT END DAMAGED AND BACK PASSENGER AXEL & WINDSHIELD HUGE CINDER BLOCK TYPE HOLES WITH SHARDS OF GLASS EVERYWHERE EVEN IN OUR EARS! NO AIR BAG DEPLOYED OR ATTEMPTED. I HAD ALMOST HALF TANK GAS NOW EMPTY LIGHT IS ON.
OIL FILTER HOUSING LEAKING. PART ON BACK ORDER BECAUSE THIS IS SO COMMON. COULD LEAD TO POTENTIAL FIRE AS TO WHY THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD.
I BOUGHT A 2014 TOWN AND COUNTRY FROM MORAN BUICK DEALERSHIP IN SEPTEMBER 2020 BY FEBRUARY 2021 I HAD TO REPLACE COMPONENTS IN MY DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW TWICE DUE TO FAILURE AND THE WINDOW FALLING IN MY DOOR. ALSO NOTICED A HUGE OIL SPOT ON DRIVEWAY WENT TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT AND WAS TOILD MY OIL FILTER HOUSING CRACKED AND IT ON BACK ORDER OVER 4 MONTH. LOOKING ONLINE THIS IS A HUGE ISSUE. HOW CAN I FEEL SAFE DRIVING MY FAMILY IN THIS VEHICLE WITH OIL LEAKING OUT CONSTANTLY.
THE OIL PUMP COOLANT LINE AND HOUSING NEEDS TO BE REPLACED - COSTING ABOUT $1K FOR PARTS AND LABOR. THE VAN ONLY HAS 115K MILES AND HAS BEEN WELL-MAINTAINED. I HEARD FROM BOTH THE AUTO REPAIR SHOP AND THE DEALER THAT THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AMONG MANY OTHER VANS AND THAT THE PARTS ARE ON BACKORDER FOR 2 MONTHS (ABOUT 15K NEEDED). IT'S NOT JUST ME HAVING THIS ISSUE BUT THOUSANDS. A RECALL SHOULD BE IN EFFECT.
I NOTICED SOME TYPE OF OIL LEAKING UNDER MY VEHICLE. I TOOK IT TO THE LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT THE OIL FILTER HOUSING NEEDED REPLACED. THEY SAID IT WOULD COST AROUND $1,000, BUT THAT THERE WAS NO ETA ON WHEN THEY WOULD HAVE THAT PART IN STOCK. I CALLED A SMALL AUTO MECHANIC SHOP TO SEE IF THEY COULD GIVE ME A COMPETITIVE PRICE, BUT THEY AREN'T ABLE TO FIND THE PART AVAILABLE THROUGH ANY THIRD PARTY VENDORS. MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN SITTING AT THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP FOR OVER 2 WEEKS WAITING FOR THEM TO LET ME KNOW WHEN THE PART WILL BE AVAILABLE. THE DIAGNOSTIC FEE IS $135 AND WILL ONLY GO TOWARDS THE PRICE OF THE REPAIRS IF THOSE HAPPEN WITHIN 30 DAYS, SO TO KEEP FROM WASTING MONEY AND HAVING MAJOR ISSUES ARISE FROM THIS LEAK I HAVEN'T PICKED UP MY VEHICLE AND WE ARE PLAYING LEAP FROG WITH MY HUSBAND'S SMALL CAR.
THE RADIO HAS STOPPED WORKING. THE SCREEN WILL SOMETIMES COME ON TO ALL WHITE THEN GO OFF AGAIN AND OTHER TIMES THE CHRYSLER SYMBOL WILL SHOW THEN GO OFF AFTER A FEW MINUTE. NO SOUND, NO BACK UP CAMERA, NOTHING . BEEN DOING THIS FOR 3 DAYS.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE OIL FILTER ADAPTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNAVAILABLE.
Oil leak from defective adapter/housing. Oil continuously leaks even shortly after being repaired due to bad product design on the 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine. Poses a significant safety hazard and could lead to fire at any point due to all the old oil that has leaked all over the engine bottom. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE STARTED SHAKING ABNORMALLY, AND LOSS MOTIVE POWER. THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE NUMBER TWO CYLINDER HAD A MISFIRE AND THAT THE CYLINDER HEAD REPLACEMENT WAS NEEDED. THE CONTACT CALLED QUINN MOTORS (6747 GEORGE WASHINGTON MEMORIAL HWY, GLOUCESTER, VA 23061, (804) 693-2408) HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 127,000. THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE HAS A DEFECTIVE CYLINDER HEAD AND REQUIRES $2,000 TO $4,000 TO REPLACE.
THE ENGINE IN MY CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY MINIVAN, 3,6L ENGINE, DEVELOPED A SERIOUS "MISS" CAUSING POWER LOSS AND VIOLENT VIBRATION WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE. IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED TO BE A MISSFIRE IN CYLINDER #2. BY TESTING, IT IS DETERMINED TO BE A FAULTY DESIGNED LEFT CYLINDER HEAD. CHRYSLER HAS EXTENDED THE WARRANTY FOR THIS PROBLEM ON ALL 2011 TO 2013 VEHICLES WITH THE 3.6L ENGINE, BUT NOT MY 2014 (YET). HELP, PLEASE.
ON TWO OCCASIONS DURING THE LAST MONTH THE ENGINE HAD JUST DIED WHILE DRIVING. IT HAPPENS AROUND 30MPH AND DECELERATING. BATTERY WAS WORKING BECAUSE RADIO STAYED ON, BUT LOST ALL OTHER OPERATING FUNCTIONS INCLUDING AUTOMATIC STEERING.

THE CONTACT HAD THE OIL FILTER HOUSING REPLACED. RECENTLY WHILE DRIVING 28 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROADWAY. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS, THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND PULLED TO SIDE OF THE ROADWAY. THE CONTACT HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO STEVENSON-HENDRICK TOYOTA JACKSONVILLE (3124 NEW BERN HWY, JACKSONVILLE, NC 28546) WHO DIAGNOSED THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT A ROD WENT THRU THE ENGINE CAUSING TO FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 144,000.
Engine Leaked oil from oil filter housing, Thank goodness my boyfriend put the fire out. very big problem he had to repair wires and replace lots of expensive parts because the small fire melted some of the intake and the valve cover. Im just thankful my boyfriend is a mechanic and could fix it for me. 800.00 in just parts. just to find out that there is a updated part that would not leak. But Waldorf dodge Sold me the same part he took off. so its destined to happen again. Chrysler should be ashamed of their design. They put my family at risk and my vehicle. I checked for recalls on it and its not there.
I HAVE A TOWN AND COUNTRY 2014. WHILE MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING OUR MINI VAN ON THE HIGHWAY AND I WAS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. THE HEAD REST ON THE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT DEPLOYED AND SLAMMED INTO THE BACK OF MY HEAD TWICE FOR NO REASON. WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND IT WAS WAY TOO EXPENSIVE FOR US TO PAY FOR OUT OF POCKET BECAUSE IT WAS NOT COVERED IN OUR WARRANTY. THEN JUST A FEW DAYS AGO WHEN I WAS DRIVING AND COME TO A STOP THE DRIVERS SIDE HAD SLAMMED INTO THE BACK OF MY HEAD AGAIN! WHY WOULD THESE DEPLOY FOR NO REASON WHAT SO EVER. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY RISK. THEY CANNOT BE RESET BECAUSE THE SAME PIECE THAT BROKE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE BROKE ON THE DRIVER SIDE. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT ARE THE CHANCE ?? THIS IS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED AND THE FAULTY HEAD RESET NEEDS TO BE RECALLED.*DT CONSUMER DID NOT CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER.*JB
I NOTICED OIL UNDER MY VEHICLE. I CRAWLED UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED OIL WAS COATING ALL VISIBLE PARTS OF MOTOR. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION THE OIL FILTER HOUSING ASSEMBLY HAS DEVELOPED A CRACK IN IT. THIS IS A PLASTIC PIECE THAT IS AFFIXED TO THE ENGINE (HEAT AND PLASTIC DO NOT MIX). THIS HAS CAUSED OIL TO LEAK ONTO THE MOTOR (AT APPROXIMATELY 1 QUART PER 3000 MILES DRIVEN). THIS HAS THE POTENTIAL TO CAUSE A FIRE IN THE ENGINE BAY AT ANY TIME.
ON 1/17/21, THE VAN ENGINE STALLED WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON A FREEWAY. THIS CAUSED LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES. I COASTED TO STOP ON SIDE OF ROAD, WAITED A BIT, AND RESTARTED THE VAN. IT DROVE FOR AOUT 3 MILES WHEN THE SAME THING HAPPENED. PROBLEM APPEARS INTERMITTENT SINCE IT HASN'T HAPPENED WHEN I BRIELFY DROVE THE CAR ON 1/18 AND 1/19. DEALER IS SAYING THEY CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH CAR (TOOK CAR IN TO DEALER ON 1/20)
Hole in the top of the fuel pump from electrical connection getting too hot.
AT 50,000 MILES THE TRANSMISSION VALVE WENT OUT - CAUSING THE VAN TO STALL WHILE DRIVING. IT WAS REPLACED. AGAIN AFTER ANOTHER 50,000 MILES THIS TRANSMISSION VALVE IS GOING OUT AND THE VEHICLE IS AGAIN STALLING WHILE DRIVING.
HAD MY OIL CHANGED AND TUNED UP LAST MONTH ROUGHLY 3 DAYS LATER I NOTICED OIL ON MY DRIVE. BROUGHT IT TO A FRIEND AND SAT FOR 30 MIN AND A PUDDLE OF OIL SHOWED UP IN HIS GARAGE FLOOR. WE CHECKED THE OIL LEVEL AND FOUND OIL ALL OVER THE MOTOR. I TOOK IT BACK TO WHERE I HAD MY WORK DONE AND WAS TOLD THE LEAK WAS COMING FROM UNDER THE OIL FILTER HOUSING ASSEMBLY AND THERE ARE 2000 ON BACK ORDER. WHICH MAKES ME THINK THERE IS A PROBLEM YOUR AWARE OF AND HOW DO I GET IT FIXED.
NOTICED ENGINE OIL LEAKING (UNKNOWN WHEN IT STARTED). INITIALLY THOUGH IT MAY HAVE BEEN OIL SPILLED WHEN CHANGING OIL. IT TURNS OUT THE OIL IS LEAKING FORM FILTER HOUSING (ALSO INCLUDES ENGINE OIL COOLER). ENGINE NEEDS EXPENSIVE REPAIR TO FIX DUE TO PLASTIC PARTS. PART IS NOT AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE (BACK ORDER). OIL LEAKS IS HEAVY, UNSURE IF IT MAY POSE A FIRE HAZARD.
WE HAD TO REPLACE THE OIL FILTER ADAPTER IN OUR VAN BECAUSE IT WAS LEAKING. OUR MECHANIC SAID HE IS FIXING A LOT OF THESE IN VANS SIMILAR TO OURS. WHEN RESEARCHING ONLINE, WE SEE THAT LARGE NUMBERS OF PEOPLE WITH 2014 CHRYSLER VANS HAVE THE SAME ISSUE. SOME EVEN REPORTED THEIR VEHICLES CATCHING FIRE AS A RESULT OF THE ISSUE. IT COST OVER $600 FOR US TO HAVE IT REPAIRED.
DRIVER SEAT ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINT DEPLOYED WHEN NOT IN A COLLISION. THE CAR WAS OFF AND WE WERE LOADING KIDS IN THE CAR. CAN'T GET IT TO GO BACK TOGETHER.
WHILE PARKING MY VEHICLE IN MY DRIVEWAY AND AFTER COMING TO A STOP, MY DRIVER SIDE HEADREST (ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINT) DEPLOYED, STRIKING ME IN THE BACK OF MY HEAD. I WAS NOT INJURED. THERE WAS NO ASSOCIATED VEHICLE NOR DID THE VEHICLE STRIKE AN OBJECT. UPON FURTHER EXAMINATION, A PLASTIC SEATING THAT HOLDS THE METAL PIN HAD BROKEN. ATTEMPTS TO RESET WAS UNSUCCESSFUL BECAUSE OF THE BROKEN PLASTIC PIN SEATING. THE ATTACHED PHOTO SHOWS A STRAP AROUND THE HEADREST SO THAT THE VEHICLE CAN BE DRIVEN SAFELY.
VEHICLE HAD LEAKING PLASTIC OIL FILTER HOUSING AT 110K MILES. AFTER REVIEW ONLINE, NOTICED THIS IS A VERY COMMON DESIGN ISSUE ALL OVER THE 3.6 PENTASTAR V6. THEN AT 127K, I HAVE NOW BEEN INFORMED AFTER ENGINE STARTED TICKING WHILE DRIVING THAT TIMING CHAIN, CAMSHAFT ETC HAVE FAILED AND ENGINE MUST BE REBUILT AND OR REPLACED ENTIRELY. I HAVE OWNED MANY VEHICLES AND NEVER HAD ONE WITH AN ENGINE FAILURE AT THIS LOW MILEAGE. SMALL FIXES, OF COURSE BUT TOTAL CATASTROPHIC ENGINE PART FAILURE AT 127K? CHRYSLER SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THIS POORLY DESIGNED ENGINE. THEY KNOW THIS ENGINE HAS PROBLEMS AS THEY EXTENDED ENGINE WARRANTIES FOR 2011-2013 MODELS BUT I FEEL LIKE THEY LEAVE THEIR CUSTOMERS WITH NEWER ENGINES HIGH AND DRY. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER FCA PRODUCT AGAIN AS LONG AS I LIVE, AND I AM A YOUNG FATHER WITH MANY MORE VEHICLES LEFT TO BUY IN MY LIFE - THIS WAS MY FIRST FCA VEHICLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE AND DETERMINED THAT THE OIL PRESSURE GAUGE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE OIL WAS REPLACED IN THE VEHICLE HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. NO DEALER WAS CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000.
The contact owns a 2014 Chrysler Town and County. The contact stated that while driving approximately 5 mph, the driver’s side electronic sliding door inadvertently opened. The contact indicated that the failure had occurred on multiple occasions. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified but no assistance was offered. The contact indicated that the failure was due to the sliding door coming into contact with the electrical wires preventing the door from closing securely. The failure mileage was 72,000.
THE PASSENGER ACTIVE HEAD REST EXPLODED FORWARD WHILE I WAS DRIVING. I HAD JUST DROPPED MY WIFE OFF AND WAS HEADED DOWN THE ROAD AND A LOUD BOOM HAPPENED AND I LOOKED OVER AND SAW THE HEAD REST STICKING FORWARD FROM THE REST OF THE PIECE. IF MY WIFE WAS STILL IN THE VEHICLE IT WOULD HAVE STRUCK HER IN THE HEAD.
CAR JUST PARKED IN PARKING SPOT AND PASSENGER TOOK SEATBELT OFF AND STARTED TO PULL DOOR LEVER. PASSENGER HEADREST AIRBAG BURSTED OPEN, KNOCKING THE PASSENGER HEAD FORWARD. HEADREST MADE A LOUD BANG. THE MOTION AND FORCE OF THE HEADREST BANGED AGAINST THE BACK OF PASSENGER HEAD CAUSING INSTANT HEADACHE AND WHIPLASH.
WAS DRIVING FROM PA TO NEW YORK ON THE HIGHWAY AND ABOUT 150 MILES INTO THE TRIP THE HEADREST EXPLODED OUT WORD AND STUCK ME IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD. CAUSING A LITTLE CONFUSION AND A INSTANT HEADACHE. THERE WAS NOTHING THAT COULD HAVE CAUSED THIS. THE ROAD WAS NOT BUMPY OR WAS THERE ANY KIND OF IMPACT TO THE VAN. THANK GOD MY WIFE WAS NOT DRIVING BECAUSE THE IMPACT OF THE HEADREST PROBABLY WOULD HAVE KNOCKED HER OUT AND CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. THE HEADREST SYSTEM IS SUPPOSED TO BE A SAFETY DEVICE BUT IS DEFECTIVE AND A RISK TO ANYONE THAT IS DRIVING A CHRYSLER PRODUCT.

THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED AND OPERATED AS DESIGNED. ADDITIONALLY, AFTER COMING TO A STOP, THE POWER STEERING FAILED TO OPERATE AS DESIGNED. THE VEHICLE ALSO FAILED TO ACCELERATE AS INTENDED. THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF, RESTARTED, AND OPERATED AS INTENDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000.
WHILE PARKED IN A PARKING LOT, BEFORE VEHICLE WAS STARTED, THE PASSENGER HEADREST EXPLODED FORWARD WITH A BANG. UPON INSPECTION, THE PLASTIC PIECE THAT IS DESIGNED TO RETAIN THE AHR DEVICE FAILED. HEADREST IS UNUSABLE.
EARLY ON/ABOUT AUGUST 27, 2020 I WENT OUT TO MY CHRYSLER T&C , PARKED OVERNIGHT IN MY HOME'S DRIVEWAY, AND DISCOVERED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT HEADREST HAD DEPLOYED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN INVOLVED IN ANY INCIDENTS OF SUDDEN CONTACT WITH ANY OTHER VEHICLE OR OBJECT. EXAMINATION OF THE VEHICLE EXTERIOR SHOWS ZERO EVIDENCE OF ANY CONTACT WITH ANOTHER OBJECT ON ANY OF THE OUTSIDE SURFACES. THE HEADREST WAS NOT DEPLOYED WHEN I WAS LAST IN THE VEHICLE, BUT WAS DEPLOYED WHEN I LOOKED AT IT THE NEXT MORNING. I HAVE NOT YET TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO ANY REPAIR FACILITY AND NO ONE EXCEPT ME AND MY WIFE HAVE SEEN THE PROBLEM. I AM THE SOLE PERSON TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE. NO OTHER PERSON, INCLUDING MY WIFE, DRIVES IT. .
WHILE DRIVING THE DRIVER SIDE HEADREST DEPLOYED HITTING ME IN THE HEAD. I WAS TRAVELING AT ABOUT 40 MILES PER HOUR ON A STATE HIGHWAY.

TRANSMISSION WENT WITH 56000 MILES, GETTING THE CAR BACK IN ALMOST 4 WEEKS. NOW CAR JUST STOPS DEAD. HAD TO TOW TO DEALER AGAIN SAME PROBLEM. SCARED TO DRIVE BECAUSE AFTER GETTING CAR BACK ENGINE 'ROLLS'. FEELS LIKE STOPPING. I STALLED YESTERDAY AT INTERSECTION AND GOT TOWED TO DEALER. THE FIXED TRANS BUT NOW I HAVE JUST STOPPING PROBLEM. THE HEADREST ACTIVE RESTRAINT SYSTEM DEPLOYED WHILE DRIVING IN TOWN. THE PLASTIC PIECE THAT HOLDS THE PIN BROKE.
ONE MORNING BEFORE WORK WHEN I STARTED THE VAN I NOTICED THE BATTERY LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE DROVE FINE AND AFTER WORK,THE LIGHT WAS NOT ON ANYMORE. THE VAN SAT ALL WEEKEND AND WHEN I STARTED IT UP 2 DAYS LATER THE BATTERY LIGHT WAS AGAIN ILLUMINATED. SO I SCHEDULED IT TO BE SEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP. BY THE TIME THE DEALERSHIP COULD GET ME IN, THE BATTERY LIGHT WAS NO LONGER ON. THE DEALERSHIP RAN DIAGNOSTICS AND COULD FIND NO ISSUES SO I PICKED IT UP WITH NO RESOLUTION. TODAY HAS BEEN A WEEK SINCE THE DEALERSHIP LOOKED AT THE VAN, THE BATTERY LIGHT HAS BEEN ON SOLID FOR 3 DAYS NOW AND ON MY WAY TO DRIVE IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP THIS MORNING, IT COMPLETELY DIED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED THE REST OF THE WAY THERE. THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY DIED WHILE DRIVING ON A STRAIGHT 35MPH ROAD. ALL POWER STEERING AND INSTRUMENTS WERE LOST AND I COULDNT EVEN PUT THE VAN IN NEUTRAL OR GET THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION. I AM CURRENTLY WAITING TO HEAR FROM THE DEALERSHIP AS TO WHAT THEY FOUND AS THE CAUSE.
THE REAR SLIDING DOOR MAKES A LOUD BUZZING NOISE WHEN THE DOOR LOCKS AND UNLOCKS. I'VE BEEN TOLD THAT IT IS THE ACTUATOR. IT HAPPENS EVERY SINGLE TIME THE DOOR IS LOCKED OR UNLOCKED, WETHER DRIVING OR STATIONARY.
DRIVERS SEAT PROBLEM. ACTIVE HEADREST RESTRAINT FAULTY THE PLASTIC RETENTION TABS HOLDING THE METAL BAR IN PLACE SPONTANEOUSLY BROKE ,THE METAL TEETH WERE STILL LOCKED DOWN ON THE BAR SHOWING IT DIDN'T DEPLOY, JUST THE PLASTIC TABS BROKE. THIS CAUSED THE HEADREST TO 'ACTIVATE' AND MOVE FORWARD. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN DRIVEWAY. NO INJURIES AS NO ONE IN THE CAR.
When vehicle is exposed to consistent sunlight and heat during the spring/summer months, the driver's side power sliding door will not latch properly, causing the door to repeatedly try to latch itself shut. This occurs when opening/closing the door, and also while the vehicle is in motion. For example, if the door is shut properly, and the vehicle goes over a bump or something disrupts the ride, the door will think it is open, the warning light comes on the dashboard, the interior lights activate and the electric latch motor will repeatedly activate until the van thinks the door is closed. Even when parked, I have returned to the vehicle to find the door trying to close itself.
The passenger side headrest srs system deployed while unattended. Chrysler refuses to repair or replace this.
THE HEADREST ON THE DRIVERS SIDE DEPLOYED WHILE DRIVING ON A SMOOTH ROAD AND DISORIENTED ME FOR A FEW SECONDS. THE STREET IS CURVY AND IS ON A CAUSEWAY. I DRIVE IT EVERYDAY AT A SPEED LIMIT OF 45.
NOTICED PASSANGER HEADREST HAD DEPLOYED ONE DAY. PLASTIC EARS THAT HOLD LATCH PIN IN PLACE HAD BROKEN. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, NO INJURIES.
MY 8 YEAR OLD SON LEANED WITH HIS HAND ON THE BACK OF THE DRIVER SIDE HEAD REST. THE HEAD REST RELEASED SHOOTING FORWARD. UPON TRYING TO RESET THE HEADREST I NOTICED THE PLASTIC PIECE NEEDED TO HOLD THE SPRING MOUNT TO LOCK IT WAS BROKE THUS NOT ALLOWING ME TO RESET THE HEADREST. THE CAR WAS PARKED AND OFF WHILE THIS HAPPENED.
THE HEADREST BROKED BY ITSELF, THE PLASTIC OF THE MECHANISM CRACKED CAUSING THE HEADREST TO BE HOLD IN PLACE JUST BY THE MATERIAL. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, NOT INVOLVED IN ACCIDENT OR ANYTHING ELSE.
