I PURCHASED SUBJECT VEHICLE FROM CAR MAX IN SEP/OCT 2018 AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE WINDSHIELD DUE TO DEFECT GLUE BEING USED FOR INSTALLATION. I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO PREMIER CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP IN NEW ORLEANS, AL WHO KEPT THE VEHICLE FOR A MONTH WITHOUT MAKING THE REPAIR SAYING THAT A NEEDED PART WAS ON BACKORDER. I MADE A COMPLAINT WITH CHRYSLER CORPORATION ABOUT TWO MONTHS AGO AS THE DEALERSHIP STILL HAS NOT CONTACTED ME TO RETURN THE VEHICLE FOR THE REPAIR. THEY TOO INDICATED THAT THE INSTALLATION KIT IS ON BACK ORDER. IT IS NEARLY 6 MONTHS WITH NO WORD, FOLLOWUP ANYTHING FROM THE DEALERSHIP. ALL THIS WAITING ON AN INSTALLATION KIT. THEIR ARE WINDSHIELD REPAIR PLACES THAT CAN REPAIR A WINDSHIELD IN A MATTER OF MINUTES WHY CAN'T THE DEALERSHIP?
AIRBAG LIGHT WILL NOT GO OFF, NO OTHER VEHICLE ISSUES.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, THE CONTACT REACHED FROM THE DRIVER'S SEAT TO GRAB SOMETHING FROM THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. WITHOUT WARNING, THE DRIVER'S SIDE HEADREST EXPLODED AND STRUCK THE CONTACT ON THE BACK OF THE HEAD. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HUFFINES CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM LEWISVILLE (972-538-4100, LOCATED AT 1024 S STEMMONS FWY, LEWISVILLE, TX 75067), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL FOR THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CALLED AND STATED THAT THERE WAS A COMPUTER FAILURE, AND THEN HUNG UP ON THE CONTACT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 55,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MOORE CHRYSLER JEEP FIAT (8600 W BELL RD, PEORIA, AZ 85382, (800) 757-0140) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CRUISE CONTROL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS CURRENTLY BEING REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000.
THE VAN STARTED HAVING ELECTRICAL ISSUES WHILE DRIVING. ALL ELECTRICAL ITEMS WOULD TURN OFF, SUCH AS A/C, DASH LIGHTS, WINDOWS WOULD NOT WORK, RADIO, BUT WINDSHIELD WIPERS TURN ON. MAY STOP INDEPENDENTLY OR AFTER YOU TURN VAN OFF AND BACK ON. ONCE HAPPENED WHILE I WAS DRIVING, ALL THE SAME SYMPTOMS I LISTED. LASTED ABOUT 5 MINUTES THEN STOPPED. HAD THE TIPM CHANGED BY THE DEALER, BUT THE PROBLEM HAPPENED AFTER IT WAS CHANGED.
BLIND SPOT DETECTION SENSOR ISSUES. DASHBOARD ERROR MESSAGE STATES "SERVICE BLIND SPOT SYSTEM". THE ISSUE IS THE BLIND SPOT WARNING SIGNAL CONSTANTLY COMES ON WITH CHIME ALTHOUGH THEIR ARE NO VEHICLES AROUND THE VAN. ISSUE OCCURS WHEN STATIONARY, IN MOTION NO MATTER WHERE DRIVEWAY, CITY STREET OR HIGHWAY.
THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION TURNING ON TO ANOTHER STREET AND ONCE FOOT WAS SET TO ACCELERATE, IT ACCELERATED WITHOUT ANY MOVEMENT. NOR DID IT MOVE FORWARD NOR REVERSE.
THE PASSENGER HEADREST EXPLODED WHILE SITTING IN MY GARAGE AND CAN NOT BE FIXED WITHOUT VISITING A DEALERSHIP WHICH LOOKS TO BE A $700 - $900 CHARGE.
THE PAINT ON THE LOWER EDGE OF THE HOOD HAS BUBBLED AND HAS STARTED RUSTING. WITH ONLY 29K MILES , THIS IS VERY UNACCEPTABLE.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND MY VAN STARTED TO SLOW DOWN SPORADICALLY AND THEN JUST STOPPED MOVING ALL TOGETHER. I WAS STUCK ON A BUSY ROAD DURING RUSH HOUR. AFTER BEING TOWED TO A GARAGE, I WAS TOLD THAT I NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION BECAUSE THE PUMP HAD GONE OUT.
ON JULY 10, 2018, AT APPROXIMATELY 1:43 PM, I PULLED INTO A PARKING SPACE AT THE SAM'S CLUB ON YOUNGERMAN CIRCLE IN JACKSONVILLE, FL AND PUT MY 2015 CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY INTO PARK. I WENT IN MY POCKET TO PULL OUT MY SHOPPING LIST AND THEN HEARD A LOUD POP AND FELT SOMETHING HIT THE BACK OF MY HEAD. I EXITED MY VEHICLE AND LOOKED TO SEE THAT MY HEADREST HAD BASICALLY EXPLODED APART FOR NO APPARENT REASON. I CONTACTED MY LOCAL CHRYSLER DODGE DEALERSHIP AND THEY ADVISED THAT THIS WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY OR RECALL. AS IT DID NOT AFFECT THE DRIVABILITY OF MY VEHICLE AND I DIDN'T HAVE THE MONEY AND DIDN'T THINK I SHOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR SOMETHING THAT WAS NOT MY FAULT, I DID NOT GET IT REPLACED.
THE DRIVER SEAT AIRBAG IN THE HEADREST SHOT THE HEADREST FORWARD SPLITTING IT IN TWO THEREBY RENDERING THE AIRBAG USELESS.
WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AT NIGHT COMPLETE ELECTRICAL SHUT DOWN, ENGINE MUST BE RESTARTED. THIS IS HAPPENING SPORADICALLY ,

THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LAMPE CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM FIAT (151 N NEELEY ST, VISALIA, CA 93291, (559) 737-6400), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED DUE TO THE FEE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,225.
119000 MILES ON WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE SERVICE LIGHT CAME ON. HAD PLUGS AND COIL REPLACE BECAUSE OF SKIPPING. PROBLEM STILL ON GOING HAD FUEL INJECTION DONE. STILL SKIPPING, MECHANIC SUGGEST GETTING HEADS REDONE. LIFTERS MAKING TICKING SOUND.
BLIND SPOT MONITOR - SENSOR FAILURE AFTER ONLY 2.5 YEARS - BOTH BLIND SPOT SENSORS HAVE FAILED - DUE TO THE POSITION CHRYSLER HAVE LOCATED THEM AND THE LACK OF PROTECTION PROVIDED IN THAT LOCATION. WIDESPREAD PROBLEM ON ALL THE CHRYSLER RANGE WHICH THE COMPANY REFUSES TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR. LOCATION MEANS SENSORS GET SEVERELY CORRODED IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME LEADING TO FAILURE OF THIS SAFETY FEATURE. SENSORS SIMPLY STOPPED WORKING ABOUT 8 WEEKS AGO. SPOKE TO CHRYSLER WHO INSIST THIS IS NOT A DESIGN FLAW BUT CLEARLY IT IS.
THE CRUISE CONTROL BUTTON DOESN'T ALWAYS TURN THE CRUISE CONTROL ON OR OFF. I SOMETIMES HAVE TO USE THE BREAK TO TURN IT OFF. WHEN TURNING IT OFF, THE CANCEL AND EVEN THE OFF BUTTON DON'T DO ANYTHING. I HAVE THE SAME ISSUES WHEN I'M TRYING TO TURN IT ON. THE BUTTON TO MAKE IT GO FASTER OR SLOW DOWN SEEM TO WORK. IT'S THE ON/OFF AND THE CANCEL BUTTONS THAT DON'T SEEM TO WORK. I PUT TODAY'S DATE BELOW, BUT IT'S ALWAYS BEEN LIKE THIS. IT ALSO HAPPENS AT A VARIETY OF SPEEDS.
FALL 2017, OUR CAR WAS SITTING IN OUR DRIVEWAY OVER NIGHT. THE NEXT MORNING WE NOTICE THE PASSENGER HEAD REST HAD DEPLOYED WITH NO CAUSE TO DEPLOY. WE WERE TOLD BY CHRYSLER SERVICE EMPLOYEE THAT THE HEAD REST ARE KNOWN TO DEPLOY WITH NO REASON. THIS WEEK OUR CAR WAS IN OUR GARAGE OVER NIGHT. THE NEXT MORNING WE NOTICED THE DRIVER'S SIDE HEAD REST DEPLOYED WITH NO REASON. WE TOLD CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE ABOUT OUR COMCERNS ABOUT SAFETY AND ALL THEY SAID WAS "YOUR CAR IS OUTSIDE THE 36,000 MILE WARRANTY AND THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO."
WHILE RIDING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT OF MY VEHICLE THE ' HEADREST RESTRAINT SYSTEM' INAPPROPRIATELY OUT OF NOWHERE DEPLOYED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS MOVING BUT WAS NEVER IN AN ACCIDENT. THE HEADREST FORCEFULLY HIT ME IN THE NECK AND BACK OF THE HEAD.
WHEN USING THE VEHICLE PUSH BUTTON START, IT SOMETIMES DOES NOT START WHEN THE KEY FOB IS IN THE VEHICLE. THE ENGINE STOPPED RUNNING ON ONE OCCASION WHILE MY SPOUSE WAS DRIVING AND SHE FELT LIKE SHE DID NOT HAVE ANY STEERING. MY SPOUSE FEELS THAT THE KEY FOB IS LOSING CONNECTION TO THE VEHICLE. THE ENGINE STOPPED RUNNING ON A CITY STREET WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. WE TOOK IT TO THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP IN MANHATTAN, KS AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. THEIR WERE NO CODES IN THE VEHICLE TO INDICATE ANYTHING HAD OCCURRED.
DRIVING ON INTERSTATE WITH CRUISE CONTROL ON. PRESSED ON GAS TO PASS VEHICLE AND WHEN I LET OFF OF GAS, VEHICLE KEPT ACCELERATING. STEPPED ON BRAKE MULTIPLE TIMES AND TURNED CRUISE CONTROL OFF & VEHICLE STILL ACCELERATED UP TO 92 MPH. A RED LIGHTENING BOLT LIKE ITEM SHOWED ON THE DISPLAY. FINALLY, AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS, THE CRUISE CONTROL DISENGAGED. THERE IS A RECALL THROUGH CHRYSLER FOR THIS VERY ISSUE BUT THE TOWN & COUNTRY IS NOT PART OF THE RECALL. DEALER SAID THERE IS NO CODE THAT SHOWS UP SO THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT. CONTACTED CHRYSLER AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD GET BACK TO ME AND SUGGESTED I NOT USE CRUISE CONTROL (WASN'T PLANNING ON USE IT!). I TOLD THEM THAT NOT USING CRUISE CONTROL IS OKAY TEMPORARILY BUT IS NOT A PERMANENT FIX.
I WAS DRIVING ON HIGHWAY AND FROM NOWHERE CAR LOST POWER FOR FEW SECONDS ( ENGINE STOPED) I ALMOST RUN TO ANOTHER CAR. AFTER CAR WAS DRIVING OKAY FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES AND AGAIN LOST POWER FOR FEW SECONDS AND ALMOST RUN OFF ROAD( LUCKY, WAS NO KIDS IN MY CAR). I TOOK OFF HIGHWAY AND WAS DRIVING ON REGULAR ROAD. CAR START MAKING LOUD NOISE. I COULD NOT DRIVE FASTER THEN 25 MILES IN HOUR( LUCKY WAS CLOSE BY MY BUSINESS). THAT WAS TRANSMISSION PROBLEM. DID RESEARCH AND FIND OUT THAT HAPPENING WITH A LOT OF CARS, TRANSMISSION PUMP FAILURE. SOME CARS RECEIVED RECALL, I DIDN'T. WHY CHRYSLER LOST QUALITY? WHY PEOPLE PAYING MORE MONEY AND NOT GETTING QUALITY LIKE USE TO BE. IF CAR WILL CRASH IN THIS SITUATION, WHO WILL BE RESPONSIBLE. NOW I JUST AFRAID TO DRIVE WITH THIS CAR, SPECIALY WITH MY FAMILY. FACTORY SHOULD REPLACE THOSE CARS.
IN APRIL 2018, THE ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINT ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE DEPLOYED BY POPPING FORWARD STRIKING THE DRIVER'S HEAD. THE DRIVER WAS NOT INJURED. IT IS CLEARLY EVIDENT THAT THE PLASTIC BRACKETS THAT HOLD THE HEAD RESTRAINT TOGETHER BROKE APART. THIS OCCURRED WHILE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED NORMALLY AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT. NO COLLISION OR HARD BRAKING TOOK PLACE. FOR MONTHS, OWNER HAS ATTEMPTED TO HAVE BOTH LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND MANUFACTURER REPAIR THIS SAFETY ISSUE TO NO AVAIL.

THE HEADREST LATER CAME APART. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BIG O DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM (2645 LAURENS RD, GREENVILLE, SC 29607, 864-288-5000) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER ACTIVE HEADREST NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 50,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE TRANSMISSION DISENGAGED AND THE ENGINE REVVED. THE CONTACT RELEASED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND DOWNSHIFTED TO A LOWER GEAR, WHICH CAUSED THE TRANSMISSION TO RETURN TO NORMAL. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL; HOWEVER, OTHER VEHICLES WERE ALSO EXPERIENCING TRANSMISSION FAILURES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS UNABLE TO ASSIST. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WELLS MOTOR COMPANY (1600 US HWY 27 S, AVON PARK, FL 33825, (863) 453-6644) AND DIAGNOSED MORE THAN TWO DAYS, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
DRIVING ALONG AND THE CAR STALLED AND WOULD NOT GO FORWARD OR BACKGROUND IT WOULD NOT EXCEL LIKE IT WAS NIT GETTING GAS; THE CAR WAS IN MOTION AND STALLED
CLUSTER CONTROL PANEL WENT OUT THEN LIGHTS FLASHED ON AND MULTIPLE TIMES WITH ODOMETER AND TACHOMETER READING 00'S WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE. THE CENTER NAVIGATION SYSTEM WENT OUT WHILE THE HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONER LIGHTS ROLLED UP AND DOWN AS IT WAS BEING DRIVEN AND HEAT SEATING LIGHTS WERE FLASHING AS WELL.
The sliding electrical/mechanical passenger door does not close entirely and continually retries to re-close. I observe over the years that there must be a sensor or other mechanical/electrical detection of door "closure" that is not working correctly off and on for a least 4 years. The action we've taken to is to manually force the door closed as the electrical-mechanical closure detection cannot always sense door closure correctly. Occasionally the condition can occur while driving causing fear the door will open or not be locked exposing passengers to potential serious injury hazard while in motion. The condition has not improved despite efforts to clean, clear, oil parts to try and remediate the item. Dealer is not making any recommendations for remediation on this defect to this point. These cases first noticed in 2018, and has continued off and to the present. I was made aware of potential class action on the issue from another FCA auto owner and raising this item for purposes of lending my experience to the number of customers affected by this SLIDING DOOR ELECTRICAL/Mechanical issue.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MONROE SUPER STORE (15160 S DIXIE HWY, MONROE, MI 48161), BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE AND VIN WERE UNAVAILABLE.
THERE IS A RECALL FOR 2015 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY, BUT I WAS TOLD IT IS NOT FOR MY VEHICLE. THE RECALL NUMBER IS S44. THE RECALL IS FOR THE TRANSMISSION BECAUSE IF THE TRANSMISSION LOSES HYDRAULIC PRESSURE, THE VEHICLE MAY LOSE MOTIVE POWER, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO MY VEHICLE TODAY ON THE HIGHWAY. THE VEHICLE, WITH NO OTHER KNOWN PROBLEMS, JUST LOST POWER ALL OF A SUDDEN. PLEASE HELP.
I HAVEN'T REACHED 50,000 MILES YET BUT MY FUEL INJECTOR HAS GONE BAD. WHILE DRIVING MY ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON THEN THE CAR STARTED TO VIBRATE. I CHECKED THE MANUAL AND IT DIDN'T HELP. I'VE CALLED SEVERAL TO THE LOCATION CLOSES TO ME AND THE LOCATION I BROUGHT IT FROM. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY INFORMATION ON THE PROBLEM.
RIGHT PASSANGER SLIDING DOOR DOES NOT LOCK WITH FOB NOR MANUALLY, THE PHYSICAL LOCK IS STUCK. DOOR CAN BE OPENED AND ALARM DOES NOT GO OFF.
DURING AN OIL CHANGE, WHEN THE FILTER CAP WAS REMOVED, THERE WAS A PLASTIC COMPONENT STUCK IN THE END OF THE FILTER THAT THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN DIDN'T RECOGNIZE. ONE OF THE FOUR TABS INSIDE THE CAP WAS BROKEN OFF AND NOT ABLE TO BE LOCATED. IT COULD STILL BE INSIDE INSIDE THE OIL FILTER HOUSING, BUT AN INSPECTION WITH A FLASHLIGHT DID NOT LOCATE IT. PURCHASED A NEW CAP FROM DEALER. THE CAP HAS AN INTEGRATED SPRING LOADED NIPPLE THAT THE FILTER SLIPS ONTO.

WHEN THE CONTACT PLACED THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND OPENED THE DOOR TO RETRIEVE THE MONEY, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED IN REVERSE. THE THE BANK TELLER INFORMED CONSUMER VEHICLE WAS MOVING. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN AND DROVE ONTO HER FRONT LAWN. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO DON VANCE CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (285 HIGHWAY W, MARSHFIELD, MO 65706, (417) 859-4600), BUT THE MECHANIC DID NOT SHOW UP AND NO ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND NO ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. CAR WAS NOT EQUIPPED WITH A SPARE TIRE SO HAD TO BUY A NEW ONE.

LATER, WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE SHOOK AND VIBRATED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 94,000.

THE DEALER TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS LEFT AT THE DEALER AND THE CONTACT WAS PROVIDED WITH A LOANER VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,700. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

ONE OF THE CONTINENTAL CROSSCONTACT LX TIRES 225/65 17 PURCHASED IN MAY HAS BEEN LEAKING AIR AND THE SIDEWALL IS SPLITTING BECAUSE OF THE TIRE GOING FLAT. THIS STARTED 1 MONTH AFTER PURCHASING THEM. I WOULD LIKE ALL 4 TIRES REPLACED FREE OF CHARGE. IF YOU REPLACE ONE TIRE THEY WON'T MATCH. THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER CONSUMERS REGARDING THE SAME ISSUE. THE COWLING OR ENGINE COVER BROKE AT APPROX 28K MILES FOR NO KNOWN REASON. IT WAS REPLACED BY BRANHAVEN JEEP/DODGE OF BRANFORD, CONNECTICUT AFTER SEVERAL VISITS AND TEST DRIVES. THE LAST TEST DRIVE WAS FOR 45 MINUTES AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, WITH MY WIFE AND THE MECHANIC, BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT FIND THE ISSUE. IT'S A PAIN IN THE BUTT RETURNING THIS VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP 3X FOR THE SAME ISSUE--. NOW IT HAS BEEN REPLACED, BUT THE ISSUE HAS RETURNED AFTER ABOUT 6 WEEKS OR SO....MAYBE TWO MONTHS. DEALERSHIP IS SAYING THE SAME THING--CAN'T FIND THE ISSUE BECAUSE IT MAINLY HAPPENS AT ABOUT 69 MPH AND THEY SAID IT'S ILLEGAL TO DRIVE THAT FAST IN THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT. A STAR CASE WITH DODGE WILL BE STARTED ON THIS, I'M CALLING THIS WEEKEND. THE WHISTLE COMES FROM THE DASHBOARD INSIDE THE CAR, DRIVERS' SIDE, JUST LEFT OF CENTER. THIS NUISANCE IS A SAFETY ISSUE TO THE DRIVER AND A CULTURAL NOTE SIGNIFYING A COMPLETE DECLINE IN CHRYSLER PRODUCTION. ALREADY SENT A WRITTEN COMPLAINT [XXX] PREVIOUSLY ACCIDENT ON 05/16/2017 AIRBAG ON THE FLOOR DID SERIOUS LIFE THREATENING INJURIES TO HER LEGS AND HAD TO BE METEVACTED BY HELICOPTER TO SHOCK TRAUMA CENTER IN BALTIMORE FOR MANY SURGERIES TO HER LEGS WHICH THREATENED HER LIFE AT 91 YEARS OF AGE. STAYED IN SHOCK TRAUMA CENTER FOR 11 (+) DAYS AND WILL SPEND MANY MORE DAYS IN A REHABILITATION CENTER AND STANDS THE POSSIBLE AMPUTATION OF ONE LEG. LOUD WHINE COMING FROM ENGINE AREA. TRANSMISSION PROBLEM, FRONT OIL PUMP FAILED. MY VEHICLE WAS NOT LISTED IN THE RECALL BUT HAS SAME PROBLEM AS RECALLED T&C MINIVANS. WHEN VEHICLE IS PARKED AND THE AUTO-DOOR LOCK SYSTEM IS ACTIVATED BY REMOTE AND/OR MANUAL DOOR LOCK ACTIVATION, THE LOCKS WILL ACTIVATE AND THE DOORS WILL APPEAR TO BE LOCKED; HOWEVER, WHEN YOU PULL ON THE DOOR HANDLES TO CHECK THE LOCK, THE LOCKS WILL ACTIVATE AND RE-OPEN. THIS EVENT WILL OCCUR AFTER A FEW SECONDS, MINUTES, HOURS, OR EVEN OVER NIGHT. IN OTHER WORDS, EVEN AFTER YOU ACTIVATE THE AUTO-DOOR LOCKS, YOU CAN WALK UP TO THE CAR AT ANY TIME, PULL ON THE DOOR HANDLES, AND THE CAR WILL UNLOCK ALLOWING YOU TO OPEN THE DOORS.
ACCELERATES WITHOUT WARNING WHILE PARKING
CRUISE CONTROL DOES NOT HOLD A STEADY SPEED ON HILLS, EVEN SMALL HILLS LIKE WE HAVE IN MICHIGAN. THE SPEED DROPS 3-4 MPH AS IT GOES UPHILL (VERY UNSAFE FOR THOSE TRAVELING BEHIND US), THEN IT DOWNSHIFTS AND ACCELERATES 5-7 MPH (VERY UNSAFE FOR THOSE TRAVELING IN FRONT OF US). EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE DEALERSHIP I MENTIONED IT. I CALLED CHRYSLER (I TAUGHT AUTOMOTIVE SO I HAVE GRADUATE CONNECTIONS AT CHRYSLER). THEIR ANSWER IS THAT IS NORMAL. NO OTHER VEHICLE THAT I HAVE OWNED, EVER, HAD THIS PROBLEM, ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE EIGHTIES. I HAVE TALKED WITH OTHERS WITH THE SAME YEAR VEHICLE AND THEY HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.
