CAR WAS IN PARK ON DRIVEWAY ON A HILL, WHEN I WAS CLIMBING IN CAR DROPPED FROM PARK TO REVERSE AND STARTED ROLLING BACK DOWN THE DRIVEWAY. MY LEFT FOOT WAS STILL OUT OF THE CAR THE DRIVERS SIDE TIRE CAUGHT MY LEFT FOOT AND I WAS DRAGGED OUT OF THE CAR. I WAS SEVERELY INJURED, OPEN FRACTURE OF RIGHT ANKLE, LARGE AND DEEP LACERATION BEHIND RIGHT KNEE, EIGHT BROKEN RIBS RIGHT SIDE AND A COLLAPSED LUNG RIGHT SIDE. TRANSMISSION SLIPS OUT OF GEAR FROM PARK TO REVERSE.
AIRBAG RESTRAINT LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON ON DASH AND WINDOW WON'T GO DOWN ON DRIVERS SIDE. THE WINDOW WILL NOT WORK MOST OF THE TIME AND THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT COMES ON WHEN TURNING LEFT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 CHRYSLER VOYAGER. WHEN OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE HORN WOULD OCCASIONALLY STOP WORKING AND EVENTUALLY STOPPED OPERATING PERMANENTLY. IN ADDITION, THE AIR BAG SENSOR INTERMITTENTLY ILLUMINATED WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE. THE SENSOR PERMANENTLY REMAINED ILLUMINATED AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE HORN AND CRUISE CONTROL STOPPED WORKING AND THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON. IT WOULD NOT PASS INSPECTION. IT HAPPEND WHILE IN MOTION AND STATIONARY. THEY SAID THAT THE CLOCK SPRING WAS BROKEN AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THERE IS A RECALL ON THE 1996-1998 MODELS FOR THE BROKEN CLOCKSPRING BUT NOT THE 2001. I SEE LOTS OF COMMENTS THAT THIS IS AN ISSUE BEYOND THOSE MODEL YEARS INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THEY NEED TO EXTEND THE RECALL BEYOND 1998 SINCE THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH MORE THAN THOSE 2 YEARS!
AIR BAG LIGHT FLASH ON AND THEN TURNS OFF AND THEN STAYS ON.WHEN GOING OVER POTHOLES IT ALSO COMES ON AND STAYS ON FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIMES.

AROUND END OFF 2013 MY AIRBAG LIGHTS OFF AND ON ,WHEN DRIVING THE AIRBAG LIGHTS WENT OFF,THEN CAME BACK ON. ON 2014 I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE MECHANIC SHOP AND REPLACE THE PARTS INSIDE THE STEERING AIRBAG TIMER CLOCK. AT PRESENT MILEAGE 88,000. HARDLY DRIVE, GARAGE KEPT. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT SHOULD I DO OR ANY SENSOR LINK TO THE AIRBAG LIGHTS. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 CHRYSLER VOYAGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 CHRYSLER VOYAGER. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND REMAINED ILLUMINATED UNTIL THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF. THE FAILURE WOULD OCCUR WHENEVER THE ENGINE WAS IN OPERATION. THE MANUFACTURER ISSUED A VOLUNTARY RECALL PERTAINING TO THE CLOCK SPRING FOR VEHICLE MODEL YEARS 1998-2000. THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE MALFUNCTION. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 177,000.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WITH MY TWO CHILDREN AND MY CAR STALLED. COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN, AND I CALLED MY HUSBAND TOOK THE VAN TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY RAN TEST ON THE COMPUTER AND THEY SAID WE NEEDED A NEW PCM SO WE BOUGHT ONE AND GUESS WHAT IT STILL DOES NOT WORK 6 MONTHS LATER. WE TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC NEAR BY AND HE SAID HE THINKS ITS THE FUEL PUMP BUT AS MUCH MONEY AS WE HAVE ALREADY SPENT I AM SCARED TO BUY SOMETHING ELSE FOR THIS VAN AND IT NOT WORK. IF YOU CRANK THE CAR UP YOU CAN ONLY DRIVE ABOUT 15 MINUTES AND IT WILL CUT OFF FOR SEVERAL HOURS AND THEN YOU CAN DRIVE AGAIN FOR ANOTHER 15 MINUTES. *TR
HEADLIGHT FAILURE: HAVE ONE LOW BEAM AND ONE HIGH BEAM. REPLACE BULBS AND FUSES. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 CHRYSLER VOYAGER. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE SPEEDOMETER LIGHTING FAILED. THE CONTACT COULD NOT DETERMINE HOW FAST HE WAS DRIVING. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED HIM TO FIND OUT WHERE THE FUSE BOX WAS LOCATED AND OFFERED NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 45,063.
DASH PANEL FAILS...NO INDICATION OF SPEED, TURN SIGNALS WILL NOT TURN ON, AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON AND OFF INTERMITTENTLY. WAS TOLD OF CLOCK SPRING MALFUNCTION COVERED BY PRIOR YEAR RECALLS, BUT ONLY SERVICE BULLETIN FOR 2001 CHRYSLER VOYAGER. OCCURS A SEVERAL TIMES PER WEEK ESPECIALLY IN MORNINGS BEFORE VEHICLE IS WARMED UP. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 CHRYSLER VOYAGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 04V480000 (AIR BAGS) HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL CAMPAIGN. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE BOTH MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
IT WAS IN THE WINTER TIME WHEN THEY STOP WORKING. BOTH THE POWER WINDOWS HAVE STOPPED WORKING I HAVE REPLACE THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW MOTOR AND IT STOP WORK FOR SECOND TIME. *TR
WHEN I TURN ON THE CAR, ONE OF THE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS COMES ON. WHEN I CLICK ON THE LOW BEAMS, ONE LOW BEAM COMES ON, THEN, WHEN I CLICK THE HIGH BEAMS, ONLY ONE COMES ON, BUT IT'S THE OPPOSITE SIDE!!! THIS HAPPENS FREQUENTLY AND AT ANY TIME, AND IS VERY DANGEROUS. *TR
THE DASH: SPEEDOMETER, GAS GAUGE, AND OTHER GAUGES FAILED WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. THEY WENT TO ZERO. BLINKERS ALSO FAILED AT THE SAME TIME. HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIGURE OUT WHAT CAUSED THIS TO HAPPEN. UNABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE IN THIS CONDITION. *TR

I HAVE A 2001 CHRYSLER VOYAGER MINIVAN AND THE COMPANY DID A RECALL FOR THE 1998-2000 FOR PROBLEMS WITH THE AIR BAGS NOT DEPLOYING. THE LIGHT FOR THE AIR BAG WILL COME ON BECAUSE THERE IS A MALFUNCTION WITH THE SYSTEM. THE AIR BAG LIGHT IN THE CONSUMER'S CHRYSLER VOYAGER 2001 ILLUMINATED AT DIFFERENT TIMES BUT ESPECIALLY DURING TURNS. DEALER CHECKED THE VEHICLE AND DETERMINED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD A FAULTY CLOCK SPRING BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. *TR
2.7 ENGINE 2001 INTREPID WITHOUT WARNING THE TIMING CHAIN WENT AND THE REPAIR SHOP SAID THE MOTOR IS FULL OF SLUDGE EVEN WITH THE REGULAR OIL CHANGES 5-30 OIL .CHRYSLER TOLD THE SHOP THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THESE ENGINES AND THEY'RE A PIECE OF CRAP. *TR
AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON INTERMITTENTLY FOR A FEW WEEKS NOW STAYS ON MORE OFTEN THAN NOT FAILURE COULD MEAN DEATH FOR ME, MY WIFE AND MY CHILDREN WE ARE BRING THE VEHICLE IN TO HAVE THE PROBLEM FIXED OUR MECHANIC SAYS HE HAS SEEN THE PROBLEM BEFORE IT IS THE CLOCK SPRING. *JB
CHRYSLER 2001 VOYAGER: 68K MILES AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. APPROXIMATELY 10 NOV 06, AIRBAG ALERT LIGHT CAME ON, INTERMITTENTLY. BY 10 DEC 06, LIGHT IS ON CONSTANTLY. OPERATION OF STEERING WHEEL, SEEMS TO TRIGGER EVENT. FROM INTERNET READING, IT IS EASY TO SEE THAT THE CLOCKSPRING IS DEFECTIVE. THIS PROBLEM WAS HIGHLIGHTED IN NHTSA RECALL NOTICE OF 02V293000, WHICH DOESN'T COVER MY VEHICLE YEAR. EVIDENTLY, IT TAKES TIME FOR THE FAILURE MECHANISM TO EXPOSE ITS SELF. I AM REQUESTING THAT THE NHTSA EXTEND THE RECALL TO MORE RECENT YEARS, AS CHRYSLER HAS NOT DONE ANYTHING TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM, WHILE PASSING THE COST OF REPAIR OF THE DEFECTIVE PART (SAFETY RELATED) TO THE CUSTOMER. *JB
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED IN COLD WEATHER, THE STEERING WAS EXCEEDINGLY TIGHT. WHEN THE STEERING WAS FINALLY ABLE TO BE TURNED, THERE WAS A POPPING NOISE WHILE TURNING IN EITHER DIRECTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A PRIVATE REPAIR SHOP, WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE POWER ASSIST STEERING RACK NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO NOTIFIED. UPDATED 12/5/2006 - *NM
I PURCHASED MY 2001 CHRYSLER VOYAGER IN AUGUST OF 2001, BY SEPTEMBER I HAD IT BACK TO CHRYSLER BECAUSE THE AIRBAG LIGHT WAS ON. THEY FIXED IT (CLOCKSPRING) AFTER 3 MONTHS, PROBLEM RE-OCCURRED. I HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN 2 ACCIDENTS IN THIS CAR, THE AIRBAGS NEVER DEPLOYED. THE AIRBAG LIGHT HAS BEEN SERVICED BY CHRYSLER 3 TIMES, IT IS STILL ON TO THIS DAY. I KNOW THAT THE AIRBAGS WILL NOT DEPLOY WHEN THE LIGHT IS ON, AND THAT PREVIOUS YEARS MODELS WERE RECALLED. I HAVE CONTACTED CHRYSLER CORPORATE, TO NO AVAIL, AS A MATTER OF FACT, THE PERSON I SPOKE TO "BLACKLISTED" ME AND TOLD ME NOT TO CALL BACK, THAT SHE PUT MY NAME DOWN IN THE RECORDS AND HUNG UP ON ME. I HAVE 3 KIDS AND I FEEL LIKE I AM JEOPARDIZING ALL OF US BECAUSE OF INCOMPETENCE AND NEGLECT ON THE PART OF CHRYSLER. *JB
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH WHILE ATTEMPTING TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD ONLY TURN ONE WAY. THE STEERING WHEEL FELT AS IF IT LOCKED UP, THE CONTACT JERKED THE WHEEL AND THIS IN TURN FREED THE WHEEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP THE PROBLEM WAS THE RACK AND PINION HAD FAILED. REPAIRS HAVE BEEN MADE, THE MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN ALERTED. UPDATED 03/22/06. *JB

MY HUSBAND AND I BOUGHT A NEW 2001 CHRYSLER VOYAGER MINIVAN IN APRIL OF 2001. AS OF 11/10/05 THERE WAS 51,000 MILES ON OUR 4 YEAR OLD VAN. WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE WE BOUGHT IT FOR ALL SERVICING. WE HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS UNTIL 11/10/05. MY HUSBAND WAS JUST DRIVING DOWN THE STREET ON HIS WAY HOME WHEN THE DRIVER'S SEAT FRAME BROKE IN HALF AND LANDED IN THE BACK SEAT! THANKFULLY HE DID NOT GET IN AN ACCIDENT ALTHOUGH THE FRAME BREAKING DID AGGRAVATE A PREVIOUS BACK INJURY. WE HAD TO USE OUR "CLUB" (ANTI-THEFT DEVICE) TO PROP UP THE SEAT TO BE ABLE TO DRIVE THE VAN TO THE DEALERSHIP THE NEXT DAY. UNFORTUNATELY IT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY (WE HAD AN EXTENDED WARRANTY). THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT THE DEALERSHIP SAID IT WOULD BE $1200-$1500 FOR PARTS ALONE FOR THE "MECHANISM"?? OUR SEATS ARE MANUAL SEATS...IT WAS THE FRAME THAT BROKE IN HALF!!! NEEDLESS TO SAY WE WILL NEVER BUY A CHRYSLER PRODUCT AGAIN!! WE TRADED THAT VAN IN THAT DAY AND BOUGHT A NEW TOYOTA VEHICLE. WE ONLY HAD THE ONE VEHICLE AND NEEDED SOMETHING DRIVABLE AND RELIABLE THAT DAY!!! WE COULD POSSIBLY SEE SOMETHING MECHANICAL BREAKING DOWN...BUT A DRIVER'S SEAT TO BREAK IN HALF WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING??? THAT IS SO TOTALLY DANGEROUS AND DEFINITELY UNEXPECTED!!! *NM
THE RADIO HAS NOT WORKED SINCE 2005. WE HAVE TAKEN IT TO A SHOP AND THEY SAID THERE WAS A RECALL FOR 2001 CHRYSLER VOYAGERS DEALING WITH THE RADIO. WE CALLED CHRYSLER TO SEE WHEN WE COULD BRING IT IN AND GET IT FIXED. THEY INFORMED US THAT OUR VIN NUMBER WAS NOT COVERED. *JB
DT: THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 CHRYSLER VOYAGER MINI-VAN. THE MIDDLE RIGHT SIDE SEAT BELT PULLED LOOSE. THIS HAPPENED ON 8-31-05. THE DEALER SAID THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS FOR THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT CALLED CHRYSLER DISTRICT SERVICE AND THEY AGREED TO FIX THE PROBLEM AT NO COST. THE CONTACT WANTED TO SUBMIT A COMPLAINT DUE TO THE FACT THAT THIS PROBLEM MAY HAVE OCCURRED IN OTHER VEHICLES. *AK *MR
STEERING LINKAGES/NOISE FROM FRONT END/STEERING COLUMN WORK DONE ON FRONT END - CONTROL ARMS. *JB
RECENTLY HAD A FAILURE OF THE GAS TANK VENTING SYSTEM IN OUR 2001 CHRYSLER 300M. ACCORDING TO THE DEALER THE VENT LINES USED ON THE VEHICLE ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH GASOLINE (ESSENTIALLY VACUUM LINES) AND BOTH WERE SIGNIFICANTLY ERODED. THE DEALER INFORMED ME THAT THEY HAVE SEEN THIS ON CHRYSLER VEHICLES WITH AS LITTLE AS 15,000 MILES ON THEM AND THAT THEY DO NOT USE FUEL LINE IN THE REPAIR BUT SIMPLY REPLACE WITH THE ORIGINAL MATERIAL. REGARDLESS, THE REPAIR WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AS THE HOSES ARE CONSIDERED A WEAR ITEM. THE DEALER DISPOSED OF THE ORIGINAL LINES SO I WAS UNABLE TO INSPECT THE LEVEL OF DEGRADATION BUT THEY SAID THAT ONE HOSE WAS LEAKING. *JB
DT: CONSUMER WAS DRIVING VEHICLE WHEN SHE SMELLED AN INTENSE SMELL AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAD CAME ON DAYS BEFORE BUT WENT OFF. THE CONSUMER DROVE STRAIGHT TO THE DEALER SO THE COULD RUN A DIAGNOSTIC CHECK. THEY CONCLUDED THAT THE FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM FAILED CAUSING FUEL TO GO INTO THE ENGINE AND CAUSING FUMES TO ENTER CAR THROUGH VENTS. THE SERVICE PAPER INDICATED THAT THE NUMBER THREE FUEL INJECTOR WAS REPLACED. CONSUMER WAS TAKEN BY AMBULANCE TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM AND TREATED FOR THE FUMES THAT SHE INHALED. CONSUMER IS CONCERNED THAT THE FUMES DID NOT SMELL AND IF SHE CONTINUED TO DRIVE TO WORK SHE MAY HAVE PASSED OUT CAUSING ACCIDENT. THIS TOOK PLACE IN NEW WINDSOR, NEW YORK, JACKSON AVE, IN THE MORNING WHEN CONSUMER WAS ON HER WAY TO WORK, ON JULY 11, 2005. *NM
I HAVE 2001 CHRYSLER VOYAGER. PROBLEM IS WHEN I TURN MY WHEEL THE AIR BAG LIGHT COMES ON. THE PROBLEM IS THE CLOCK SPRING. I FOUND OUT THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS ITEM BETWEEN 1998-2000. THE DEALER IS NOT GOING TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT. I HAD THIS PROBLEM ABOUT 2 YEARS AFTER I PURCHASED THE CAR. I LIKE TO FILE AN OFFICIAL COMPLAINT.
2001 CHRYSLER VOYAGER DEVELOPED PROBLEMS WITH THE AIR CONDITIONER.*MR WHILE THE CONSUMER WAS ON A LONG CROSS COUNTRY TRIP THE A/C BEGAN TO MAKE STRANGE NOISES. THE NOISES CONTINUED UNTIL THE CONSUMER TURNED OFF THE A/C. THE CONSUMER HAD TO DRIVE IN 115 DEGREE HEAT WITH NO A/C. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DETERMINED THAT THE COMPRESSOR HAD MALFUNCTIONED AND DAMAGED OTHER PARTS IN THE ENGINE. *NM
CHRYSLER VOYAGER 2001. THE METAL FRAME INSIDE OF THE UPHOLSTERY OF THE BACK OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT BACK BROKE. *SC AS A RESULT THE SEAT COPLLAPSED BACKWARDS AND THE DRIVER ENDED UP IN THE SECOND ROW SEAT WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN GEAR. *NM
DT: ON 6/7/05 CAR WAS PARKED IN PARKING LOT WITH OTHER CARS WHEN APPROACHING THE VEHICLE DRIVER NOTICED THAT SLIDING DOOR WAS SHATTERED. THERE WAS NO INDICATING FACTORS AROUND THE VEHICLE SUCH AS ROCKS, OR BRICKS THAT COULD HAVE BROKEN THE VEHICLE. THE GLASS FELL AT LEAST 3 FEET FROM VEHICLE. DT: SHE HAD TO REPLACE THE FRONT ROTORS, AND NOW SHE FINDS OUT THAT THE REAR ROTORS ARE ALSO BAD. IT TAKES LONGER FOR THE VEHICLE TO STOP. THE VEHICLE IS UNSTABLE.*AK
THE CLOCKSPRING RECALL ISSUE APPEARS TO EXTEND TO THE 2001 MODEL YEAR (EARLY PRODUCTION)

I OWN A 2001 CHRYSLER 300M WITH A CRACK IN THE DASHBOARD ABOVE THE PASSENGER'S SIDE AIRBAG. IT IS NOW GROWN TO ABOUT 9 INCHES LONG. CHRYSLER REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING BECAUSE IT WAS PAST THE 3 YEAR/36,000 WARRANTY. IT ONLY HAS 60,000 MILES ON IT NOW. WHEN THE CRACK APPEARED THERE WAS ABOUT 50,000 MILES ON IT. I VISITED A CHRYSLER FORUM ON THE INTERNET AND FOUND OUT THAT THERE WERE MANY PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. WHY WAS THERE NOT A RECALL? PROBLEM WITH TIRES DEFLATING NOTED AFTER THREE YEARS. PROBLEM WAS WITH THE CHROME PLATED WHEELS THAT CAME WITH THE TOP OF THE RANGE GRAND VOYAGER. IT TRANSPIRED TO BE CORROSION OF THE VALVE SEAT, WITH AIR ESCAPING AROUND THE VALVE. IN THE END NEEDED TO PUMP UP THE TIRES EACH DAY. MANUFACTURER CONTACTED SEVERAL TIMES BUT THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THEY WOULD DO BECAUSE IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY, AND THAT THE MANUFACTURERS EXTENDED WARRANTY DID NOT COVER WHEELS. THEY WERE NOT EVEN CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY ISSUE I RAISED. *NM

AIR BAG SENSOR LIGHT KEPT TURNING ON ESPECIALLY DURING ANY TURN. DEALER REPLACED DEFECTIVE CLOCK SPRING. SAYS THAT THIS WAS A RECALL ITEM FOR 1998-2000 VOYAGERS BUT NOT 2001. CALLED CHRYSLER AND THEY REFUSED TO NEGOTIATE. I THINK IT IS SHAMEFUL THAT CHRYSLER KNOWS IT HAS A PROBLEM BASED ON PREVIOUS YEARS MODELS BUT FORCES CONSUMER TO PAY FOR REPAIR. *NM
WHILE DRIVING 2001 CHRYSLER VOYAGER RPMS DROPPED TO ZERO, VAN SUDDENLY STALLS OUT.NO BRAKES OR STEERING. WILL NOT START UP. ALREADY HAD THIS HAPPEN ONCE, AND MECHANIC REPLACED FUEL FILTER AND FUEL PUMP. RAN FOR ONE MONTH, AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN. TOWED IT TO SAME MECHANIC, STARTED UP AFTER COUPLE TRIES. STALLED OUT AGAIN. VERY SCARY SINCE I HAVE 3 CHILDREN, 2 UNDER TWO YEARS OLD. CANNOT AFFORD NEW VEHICLE, BUT ALSO CANNOT AFFORD MONTHLY VISIT TO MECHANIC. SEARCHED SEVERAL WEBSITES AND FOUND THIS A COMMON PROBLEM, I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS HAS NOT BEEN INVESTIGATED YET! FROM WHAT I'M FINDING, NO MECHANIC HAS BEEN ABLE TO THOROUGHLY FIX THIS RECURRENT PROBLEM.*AK
DAUGHTER, FRIEND AND HER 22 MO. OLD DAUGHTER WERE ABOUT TO LEAVE THE MALL PARKING LOT WHEN THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED. ALTHOUGH THERE WERE NO PHYSICAL INJURIES, THEY WERE OBVIOUSLY SHAKEN BY THE EXPERIENCE. HEARD ON ABC NEWS ABOUT CHRYSLER RECALL ON OTHER MODELS FOR SIMILAR PROBLEM. THEN WENT TO INTERNET TO GET MORE INFORMATION.*AK
WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT HEADLIGHTS INTERMITTENTLY FAILED. THIS CAUSED POOR VISIBILITY TO THE DRIVER. CONSUMER WAS ABLE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, AND DROVE IT TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. *AK DASH LIGHTS TAIL LIGHTS PARKING LIGHT ALL STAY ON WHEN HEADLIGHTS GO OUT. *TC
MY VAN WAS OPERATING AND SERVICED AS NORMAL. SUDDENLY ONE DAY THERE WAS A SQUEALING NOISE NAD THE AIR CONDITIONING WOULD NOT WORK. I TOOK IT TO PARK JEEP/CHRYSLER IN BURNSVILLE, MN (952-808-2442) AND WAS INFORMED BY KEVIN THE SERVICE TECH THAT THE COMPRESSER HAD FAILED AND THAT THE REPAIR WOULD BE OVER $700.00. I HAVE NOT AUTHORIZED THE REPAIR YET, BUT I SEEM TO HAVE NO CHOICE. HE TOLD ME THAT EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS A SERVICE BULLETIN, IT WOULD NOT BE COVERED.*AK
