THE HEATING SYSTEM ONLY BLOWS COLD AIR NEEDS A HEATING CORE THIS PROBLEM STARTED 3 YEARS AGO IT EVENTUALLY DID NOT BLOW HOT AIR AT ALL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 DODGE AVENGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE JERKED AND LOST POWER. THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE PAST 20 MPH AND THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY NEEDED TO BE CLEANED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL, PCM AND THROTTLE BODY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
I BOUGHT A 2011 DODGE AVENGER MAINSTREET THREE YEARS AGO. AT 13K MILES MY CAR STARTED GIVING ME PROBLEMS WITH THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL. THE CAR BASICALLY LOSES POWER WITH NO WARNING. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR TO MY LOCAL DODGE DEALER 5 TIMES SINCE FEBRUARY 2013 DUE TO THIS PROBLEM AND ON TWO OCCASIONS THEY SAID THEY REPLACED THE ETC. RECENTLY THE CAR WAS GIVING ME PROBLEMS AGAIN WITH THE ETC WHERE THE CAR WOULD LOSE POWER WITH NO WARNING. I TOOK IT TO AN INDEPENDENT DEALER LESS THAN TWO WEEKS AGO AND GOT THE ETC REPLACED AND INSTALLED. YESTERDAY MY CAR GAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS WHERE THE CAR WOULD LOSE POWER. I KNOW THERE IS AN INVESTIGATION INTO THE TIPM OF CHRYSLER VEHICLES AND I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT THE PROBLEMS WITH MY CAR ARE RELATED TO THE TIPM. IF IT WAS JUST THE ETC MY CAR WOULD BE GOOD BUT KEEP IN MIND THE PART WAS REPLACED THREE TIMES AND THE CAR GIVES ME THE SAME ISSUES. I NEED ADVOCACY FOR THIS ISSUE. I FEAR MY CAR MAY BE A LEMON. *TR
AFTER BEING STOPPED IN TRAFFIC FOR A FEW MINUTES I RELEASED THE BRAKE TO ACCELERATE, THE CAR BEGAN TO SPUTTER AND STALLED IMMEDIATELY AFTERWARDS. I THEN PUT THE CAR IN PARK, TURNED IT OFF AND IT RESTARTED WITH NO PROBLEMS. IT HAS DONE THIS ONCE A WEEK FOR THE LAST THREE WEEKS. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS NOT COME ON AT ANY POINT. I RAN A DIAGNOSTIC WITH THE OBD2 AND IT PRODUCES NO CODES. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 DODGE AVENGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WIPERS OPERATED NON-STOP WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
WHILE DRIVING TO WORK TODAY I LOST ALL POWER AND NOTICED A RED LIGHTING BOLT ON THE DASH. I WOULD TRY TO ACCELERATE BUT COULD NOT GOING MORE THEN 1600 RPM'S. I PULLED OVER AND KILLED THE ENGINE. WHEN I STARTED IT I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE FOR ABOUT 1 MINUTE AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN. I WAS ABLE TO GET HOME AND LATER FOUND OUT THE LIGHTING BOLT WAS THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL THROTTLE BODY. I CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY WANT $550 TO INSTALL IT OR $330 FOR A NEW PART. READING FORUMS I SEEN THAT MANY PEOPLE HAVE THIS ISSUE AND NEED TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE THROTTLE BODY BECAUSE THERE ARE LITTLE PLASTIC GEARS THAT GET STRIPPED. I FOUND A PLACE ON LINE FOR $180 AND WILL REPLACE IT BUT I THINK IT IS DISAPPOINTING THAT I AM REPLACING THIS PART WHEN I ONLY HAVE 60K MILES ON IT. *TR
HEATER/DEFROST DOES NOT BLOW HOT OR EVEN WARM AIR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. I HAVE BEEN HAVING THIS PROBLEM FOR 4 YEARS AND HAVE HAD IT FLUSHED AND CHECKED. I'M TOLD THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE BUT DODGE DOES NOT COVER IT.
DURING 2013 MY CAR WOULD GIVE ME PROBLEMS STARTING IN COLD WEATHER. TO REMEDY THIS I WOULD TURN ON THE LIGHTS BEFORE TURNING ON THE VEHICLE. IT WORKED. I BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHILE I HAD WARRANTY FOR A CHECK UP AND THEY TOLD THEY SPOTTED NO PROBLEM CODES AND THE CAR WAS FINE. SEPTEMBER 15 2014 IT BEGAN TO GET CHILLY AGAIN. AS I WAS DRIVING, GOING UPHILL, THE LIGHTNING BOLT CAME BACK ON AND MY CAR DROPPED TO 20 MPH IMMEDIATELY. I REFERRED TO THE CAR MANUAL AND FOUND THIS IS CALLED A ETC ISSUE, ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL. I'VE BROUGHT THIS ATTENTION TO DEALERSHIP WHILE MY WARRANTY WAS STILL ON THE CAR, AND EVEN THO I STATED THE ISSUE WAS THERE, IT WASN'T ATTENDED TO BECAUSE NO PROBLEM CODES CAME UP. MY LOCAL MECHANIC RAN A DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND STILL NO CODES COME UP. ASIDE FROM THIS, THERE IS A HEAVY KNOCKING NOISE WHEN MY AIR CONDITIONER IS TURNED ON FOR SOME TIME. IDK WHAT THIS ISSUE IS BUT AGAIN I HAD BROUGHT IT UP WHILE I WAS UNDER WARRANTY AND NOTHING WAS DONE. *TR
I WAS DRIVING AUG 23 ALONG IN A STREET WHEN THE CAR JUST STALLED,I IMMEDIATELY PUT THE GEAR IN PARK THEN START THE ENGINE AGAIN IT WORKED.. AFTER 15 MINS THE CAR STARTS AGAIN... THEN AUG 29 THE CAR STALLED AGAIN ALONG THE STREET SUNSET AND WILTON IT JUST DIES AGAIN I RE START IT AGAIN...IM SO AFRAID FOR MY SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF OTHERS ON WHAT THIS CAR DEFECTS ARE.. I DECIDED TO WENT TO MIDAS SAME DAY AUG 29 AND HAVE MY CAR DIAGNOSED... THE MGR TOLD ME BATTERY RESULTS ARE OK .. THE STARTER TEST IS NORMAL...THE CHARGING SYSTEM TEST IS NORMAL ADVISED ME TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER... I TOOK IT TO THE DOWNTOWN LA DEALER THEY DON'T ACCEPT WALK INS THE SERVICE WRITER TOLD ME THEY NEED TO HAVE THE CAR IN THE SERVICE SHOP FOR 3 DAYS TO RUN A TEST IT WILL COST ME $100 SOMETHING... I CANT AFFORD IT... IM A LOW INCOME EMPLOYEE.. I CANT AFFORD TO HAVE MY CAR IN THE SHOP FOR 3 DAYS...HE TOLD ME THE COST MIGHT RUN FROM $200 TO $1,000 DEPENDS ON THE PROBLEM....IM IN A DIFFICULT SITUATION RIGHT NOW...WE HAD THIS CAR SINCE MAY 2013 AT 37,000 MILES FROM A RENT ENTERPRISE DEALERSHIP IM NOT NEGLIGENT OR ABUSE THIS CAR IN ANY WAY I ALWAYS HAVE IT OIL CHANGE ...IT HAS 48,000 PLUS MILES NOW... I WAS DRIVING TO A PARKING LOT AROUND A TURNABOUT AND AS I APPROACHED THE ENTRANCE FOR THE PARKING LOT, THE STEERING BECAME EXTREMELY DIFFICULT, ALMOST CAUSING THE CAR TO MISS THE ENTRANCE AND FOR ME TO VEER OF THE ROAD. I LOOKED AT THE TACHOMETER AND NOTICED THAT THE ENGINE HAD COMPLETELY TURNED OFF. THIS WAS ABOUT THE THIRD OCCURRENCE. THE PREVIOUS TWO TIMES THE CAR HAD STALLED AT AN INTERSECTION'S RED LIGHT AND DIDN'T NOTICE UNTIL THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN. WHEN I DEPRESSED THE GAS PEDAL, THE CAR WOULDN'T MOVE. AGAIN, I WOULD LOOK AT THE TACHOMETER, AND THE ENGINE STALLED. I WISH TO HAVE ON THE RECORD THAT TODAY, 9/22/14 AT APPROXIMATELY 11:30AM, I CONTACTED [XXX] OF PALM AUTO MALL IN PUNTA GORDA, FL TO VOICE MY CONCERNS ABOUT A RECALL I READ IN THE LOCAL NEWS ABOUT A FUEL PUMP RECALL FOR JEEP CHEROKEES WITH A 3.6L V6 AND WAS GIVEN THE RUNAROUND. MY CAR HAS THE EXACT SAME ENGINE, AND MADE DURING THAT RECALL'S DATE! THIS IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE I DESCRIBED THIS EXACT PROBLEM WHEN MY CAR WAS SERVICED 9/16-9/17/14. I WAS TOLD TODAY THAT SINCE MY CAR IS NOT INVOLVED WITH THE JEEP RECALL, THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING. I WARNED [XXX] THAT IF I GET INTO AN ACCIDENT DUE TO THIS PROBLEM, HE IS GOING TO BE ON RECORD THAT I EXPLAINED THIS PROBLEM TO HIM. THANK GOD I WAS DRIVING SLOWLY. IF MY MOTHER WERE DRIVING THE SAME CAR, SHE WOULD NOT HAVE HAD THE STRENGTH TO TURN THE WHEEL IN THIS CIRCUMSTANCE. HIGHLY DANGEROUS AND POTENTIALLY FATAL PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE BRAND NEW IN 2011. SINCE 2011 IT HAS STALLED OUT ON ME 4 TIMES WHEN I AM AT LOW SPEEDS OR WHEN ACCELERATING WHEN A RED LIGHT TURNS GREEN. ONE OF THE STALLS IT HAPPENED AS I WAS MAKING A UTURN AND A CAR NEARLY HIT ME WHILE I WAS TRYING TO RESTART THE CAR. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE IN SEVERAL TIMES TO THE DEALER AND EACH TIME THEY FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR. THIS SITUATION IS EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED BY ANOTHER COMPLAINT ON THIS WEBSITE. I HAVE NOTICED THE CAR HAS A VERY SLIGHT SURGE AT IDLE OR AT A LIGHT WHEN THE AC IS RUNNING AND MENTIONED THIS TO THE TECHS BUT THEY STATED ITS NORMAL. DOESN'T SEEM NORMAL TO ME AS THE CAR DIDN'T DO IT WHEN PURCHASED AND NOW IT RANDOMLY STALLS. THEY DID FLASH THE ONBOARD COMPUTER BUT THIS HAS NOT FIXED THE PROBLEM. GUESS IT WILL TAKE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT BEFORE THE DEALER OR DODGE BELIEVES THERE IS A ISSUE. *TR

THIS THE FAILURE WAS RECURRING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AUTHORIZED DEALER, WHO INDICATED THAT THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL BOX NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 69,500. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. *TR

WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY, AN OBJECT HIT UNDER THE VEHICLE AND PUNCTURED A HOLE IN THE PLASTIC, UNPROTECTED FUEL TANK CAUSING A LEAK. FORTUNATELY IT ONLY CAUSED A LEAK AND DID NOT RESULT IN A FIRE. I WAS SURPRISED TO FIND OUT THAT THE FUEL TANK WAS PLASTIC AND DID NOT HAVE ANY PROTECTION FROM ROAD HAZARDS TO PREVENT PUNCTURES, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT IS SO CLOSE TO THE GROUND. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 DODGE AVENGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ALL OF THE POWER WINDOWS WERE MALFUNCTIONING. WHEN HE OPENED THE WINDOWS HE WAS UNABLE TO CLOSE THEM. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE ABS, AIR BAG, ENGINE, BATTERY WARNING LAMPS ILLUMINATED THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE WAS UNABLE TO SHIFT GEARS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE BUT DID NOT OFFERED ANY ASSISTANCE SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V282000 (AIR BAGS , ELECTRICAL SYSTEM ). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 64,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 66,171.
I WAS DRIVING, THE ETC LIGHT AND THE STABILITY LIGHT CAME ON, THE CAR LOST POWER. I HAD TO SHUT THE CAR OFF AND RESTART IT TO GET THE CAR TO DRIVE NORMALLY. IT WOULD DRIVE NORMALLY FOR A COUPLE OF MILES AND THEN I WOULD HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN. IT STOPPED DOING IT THE NEXT DAY. IT STARTED BACK UP AGAIN THIS SUMMER. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO A MECHANIC WHO CLEANS THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE BOX AND HAS RESET THE ELECTRONICS. THIS WILL USUALLY FIX IT FOR A MONTH OR SO AND THEN IT STARTS AGAIN. THE CAR ALSO WILL HAVE SURGES OF POWER, WHICH ARE VERY SCARY. IT ALSO DOES NOT HANDLE WELL WHEN IT RAINS OR SNOWS. OVERALL I FEEL LIKE THE CAR IS UNSAFE. *TR
REAR SHIFTS SIDE WAYS WHEN GOING OVER ANY BUMP OR EXPANSION JOINT ON ROAD. DRIVING IN SNOW OR ICE IS VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE REAR IS ALWAYS SLIDING BACK AND FORTH HAD CAR CHECKED AND DODGE DEALERSHIP FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR. ASIDE FROM GIVING ME A PANIC ATTACK EVERY TIME THIS HAPPENS, I'M AFRAID I'M GOING TO KILL MYSELF OR SOMEONE ELSE IN A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT FROM THIS PROBLEM. THOUGHT IT WAS SOMETHING WITH THE REAR SWAY BAR BEING MOUNTED IN THE WRONG PLACE OR SOMETHING WITH THE ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL MALFUNCTIONING. ALSO I THOUGHT IT WAS THE TIRES SO I HAD ALL NEW TIRES PUT ON AND THAT OBVIOUSLY WASN'T THE PROBLEM. I'M SCARED TO DEATH TO DRIVE THIS CAR BUT IT IS MY ONLY OPTION. *TR
I WAS DRIVING MY 2011 AVENGER, AND WHENEVER I WOULD GO OVER 2000 RPM MY ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL LIGHT WOULD COME ON. THEN IT WOULD TURN OFF, THEN IT WOULD COME BACK ON IF I WENT OVER 2000 RPM, AND THEN MY THROTTLE LIGHT WOULD START BLINKING AND MY TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT WOULD COME ON. I COULDN'T GO OVER 10 MPH, UNLESS I PULLED OVER AND TURNED MY CAR OFF, AND TURNED IT BACK ON. I TOOK IT THE SHOP, AND THEY TOLD ME I NEED TO REPLACE MY THROTTLE CONTROL SINCE IT'S BAD. *TR
HAD WEIGHT IN THE BACK OF THE VEHICLE. ROADS BEGAN TO BECOME LIGHTLY SNOW COVERED. BACK END OF CAR FLOATED, AS IF NOT TOUCHING THE HIGHWAY. CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE WAS MINIMAL. SLOWED TREMENDOUSLY TO ENSURE A SOMEWHAT SAFE REMAINDER OF TRIP. HAS HAPPENED TWO OTHER TIMES, ALWAYS WHILE CARRYING EXTRA PASSENGERS OR WEIGHT IN THE CAR. VERY CONCERNING. APPARENTLY, THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT EVEN THE DEALER SERVICE EMPLOYEES ARE AWARE OF. THERE IS NO REAL FIX. THEY HAVE SET REAR ALIGNMENT TO FARTHEST INWARD POSITION TO COUNTERACT REAR TIRES BOWING OUT WITH WEIGHT. I AM SKEPTICAL THIS WILL FIX PROBLEM PERMANENTLY. THEN WILL MY NEXT WORRY BE WEAR ON THE TIRES DUE TO INCORRECT ALIGNMENT? *TR
I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE IN THE FALL OF 2013. I HAVE HAD MULTIPLE OCCASIONS WHERE THE CAR FISHTAILS IN WET OR SNOWY CONDITIONS. I TRANSPORT 4 CHILDREN ON A DAILY BASIS, AND THIS CAR SCARES ME. I HAVE DRIVEN IN WINTER CONDITIONS FOR MANY YEARS, AND I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED THE TERROR THIS CAR CAUSES. I HAVE TO DRIVE 25-35 MPH ANYWHERE I GO ON WET OR EVEN MILDLY SNOWY ROADS OR LOSE CONTROL OF THIS CAR. I ALSO KNOW A FEW OTHER PEOPLE WHO HAVE THE SAME ISSUES I HAVE, WITH THE SAME CAR. I HAVE ALSO FOUND MANY SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ONLINE WITH THIS VEHICLE AS WELL AS ITS SISTER VEHICLE THE CHRYSLER 200. I DO BELIEVE A SERIOUS INVESTIGATION NEEDS TO BE DONE ON THIS VEHICLE BEFORE ANYONE IS SERIOUSLY HURT OR KILLED IN AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 DODGE AVENGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED ON A SEPARATE OCCASION. THERE WAS RECALL RELATED TO THE FAILURE UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 13V282000 (AIR BAGS , ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED AND THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER LIGHTS SUDDENLY DIMMED AND THE INTERIOR LIGHTS AND BOTH TURN SIGNALS FAILED TO OPERATE PROPERLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,656.
SHORTLY AFTER EXCEEDING THE 30,000 MILE WARRANTY THE GEAR SHIFT WOULD NOT COME OUT OF PARK. WHEN YOU ATTEMPT TO PUSH ON THE GAS AFTER BEING STOPPED THE CAR STALLS A GREAT DEAL. THE LEFT REAR SUSPENSION HAS BEEN REPLACED ALREADY, THE SWAY BAR TIGHTENED, CAMBER BUSHINGS DONE AND THERE ARE STILL ISSUES WITH THE ABOVE BUT THE DEALER STATES "NOTHING IS WRONG". I HAVE HAD MY CAR IN THE DEALERSHIP NUMEROUS OF TIMES FOR ALL OF THIS NOT TO MENTION THE BUBBLING OF THE PAINT ON THE HOOD, THE TRUNK LEAKING WATER AND A FEW RECALLS. SO THE WATER STILL ENTERS BETWEEN THE OUTER AND INNER TRUNK LID ASSY, EXITS THROUGH THE LATCH ASSY, AND NOW THE REMOVED DRAIN PLUGS ALSO. THE DEALER TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE AND WAS ABLE TO RECREATE THE FAILURE THEREFORE, UPDATED THE SOFTWARE BUT THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED. THE TRANSMISSION CONTINUED TO FAIL AND EXHIBIT A METAL NOISE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE A WARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,614 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 4,647. THE CAR HAS A TREMENDOUS DELAY WHEN YOU PRESS THE GAS PEDAL FROM ANY SPEED. THIS HAS ALMOST CAUSED ME A FEW ACCIDENTS ALREADY WHEN CROSSING INTERSECTIONS THAT HAVE NO TRAFFIC SIGNALS. THE VEHICLE FINALLY REACTS AFTER A SECOND OR TWO OF HAVING PRESSED THE GAS PEDAL BUT THE PEDAL IS PRESSED SO FAR BY ME ALREADY THAT IT ENDS UP ACCELERATING INCREDIBLY ABRUPTLY THAT IS ALSO DANGEROUS. SEEMS TO BE A COMPUTER ISSUE BECAUSE THE HORN ALSO HAS THE SAME 1-2 SECOND DELAY BEFORE IT FINALLY BEEPS AFTER YOU PRESS THE HORN PAD ON THE STEERING WHEEL. ALSO WHEN YOU GO TO TURN THE CAR ON IT SUFFERS FROM A 1-2 SECOND DELAY BEFORE THE STARTER BEGINS TO CRANK THE ENGINE OVER. ITS LIKE THE COMPUTER IS SOOOO SLOW TO REACT TO COMMANDS BY THE DRIVER AND THIS IS DANGEROUS WHEN IT AFFECTS THE GAS PEDAL ACCELERATION REACTION TIME AND THE HORN PAD REACTION TIME. PLEASE ADDRESS THIS SINCE I OWN THIS VEHICLE AND WILL END UP SELLING IT IF THE DEALER CANT REPAIR THIS EXCESSIVE COMPUTER REACTION ISSUE. WHEN I SPOKE TO A DEALER ABOUT THIS THEY SAID IT WAS NORMAL TO HAVE THIS LONG REACTION TIME AND IT WAS DONE BY CHRYSLER FOR "SAFETY REASONS" WHICH MADE NO SENSE TO ME THAT TAKING AWAY DRIVER CONTROL OVER ACCELERATION IS ADVANTAGEOUS OR "SAFE" IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM.. IT HAS CREATED AND PUT ME IN DANGEROUS SITUATIONS ALREADY SINCE I DON'T FEEL I HAVE CONTROL OF THE ACCELERATION OF THE CAR SINCE IT DOES NOT ACCELERATE IMMEDIATELY WHEN YOU PRESS THE GAS PEDAL. THE SAME APPLIES TO THE HORN DELAY AFTER YOU HIT THE HORN PAD ON THE STEERING WHEEL, WHAT "SAFETY REASON" COULD THAT JUSTIFY THIS CAR HAS TO GET THESE ISSUES RESOLVED TO PREVENT FUTURE ACCIDENTS DUE TO THESE PROBLEMS. I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER BUT THERE ARE SEVERAL THAT ARE OPEN. THIS VIN IS ALSO ON THE BUYBACK LIST AND I'VE CALLED TWO LOCAL DEALERS TO ASK ABOUT IT AND THEY WON'T GIVE AN ANSWER BUT 'WE CAN TRADE IN'. I'VE ALSO CALL FAC. I BOUGHT IT CERTIFIED USED.
