THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,000.*DT*JB
THE HEADLIGHTS FLICKER AND DIM WHENEVER I ROLL THE WINDOWS UP AND THE CAR SEEMS TO PUTTER AT THE SAME TIME, THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE CAR DOESN'T BLOW HEAT WHEN THE CAR IS SET TO BLOW HEAT IT ONLY BLOWS COLD AIR ALL THE TIME, THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON A FEW WEEKS AGO FOR NO REASON AND WON'T GO AWAY AFTER ALL MAINTENANCE REPAIRS. THIS CAR HAS BEEN IN AND OUT OF THE SHOP MULTIPLE TIMES AND SEVERAL MECHANICS HAVE TOLD ME THEIR IS NO SEVERE ISSUES WITH THIS CAR. BUT ALL ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS KEEP HAPPENING AND I'VE ALREADY HAD TO REPLACE THE ALTERNATOR AND JUMP START THE BATTERY TWICE. I'VE COME TO THE CONCLUSION OF JUST FILING A COMPLAINT ON THIS WEBSITE.

TOWING AND FIXING COAST OVER 700..NOW 10 MONTHS LATER IT WENT AGAIN.. I AM 71..RETIRED,LIVING ON WELFARE ( SOCIAL SECURITY ) WHAT DO I DO NOW?
THE DASH BOARD LIGHTS STARTED FLASHING. MY ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR TURNED OFF THE STEERING WAS NOT WORKING AND THE BRAKES WERE PRESSED TO THE FLOORBOARD . I ALMOST HIT A MAILBOX . THANK GOODNESS THERE WAS NO CHILD NEAR THE SCHOOL ZONE THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES NOW . THE MECHANIC SAYS IT COULD BE THE ABS
PURCHASED 2012 DODGE SXT PLUS AT AUCTION. RECHARGED A/C BUT LOSE COLD AIR AFTER 3 DAYS. EVALUATIONS BY 2 MECHANICS, DYE, PRESSURE TESTS, SHOWS NO FREON LEAKS. HEATER CORE IS LEAKING AND POSSIBLE EVAPORATOR ISSUE, SAME AS WHAT'S SEEN IN OTHER COMPLAINTS FOR AVENGERS. FRUSTRATING THAT THE HEATER CORE LEAK IS SO COMMON ON AVENGERS, MECHANICS ALL STATE IS MANUFACTURING ISSUE, BUT NO RECALL ON IT. EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE AND NO GUARANTEE THAT IT WON'T GO OUT AGAIN.
THE HORN HAS A ELECTRICAL SHORTAGE, WHICH CONTINUES TO HONK, WHILE DRIVING, OR STANDING STILL. YOUR DODGE JEEP CHRYSLER DEALER IN GLENDALE, NOW TELLS ME, THAT THERE IS A SHORT, AND HE KNOWS THAT THE SWITCH IS BAD, AS IT CONTINUES TO HONK WHEN THE HORN IS CONNECTED. NOW THIS DEALER IS CHARGING ME ANOTHER $900., BUT NOT SURE IT WILL FIX PROBLEMS. THIS IS THE WORST VEHICLE I HAVE EVER OWNED, IT IS A DEATH TRAP, WAITING TO HAPPEN. *TR

THEY WERE TRYING TO FIND OUT WHY THE (HORN), CONTINUES TO GO OFF EITHER, MOVING OR STANDING STILL.*BF THEY PUT IN THE FOLLOWING PARTS: (SWITCH SPEED) FOR $50.00 (SWITCH HORN) FOR $127.60 (HARNESS STEER) FOR $158.00 PLUS THE COST OF DIAGNOSIS $195.00 AFTER ALL OF THIS I WAS FINALLY TOLD THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDS A (TIPMCGW) , WHICH I WAS GIVEN AN ESTIMATE OF $1,900, PLUS LABOR. I WAS TOLD THIS PART IS LOCATED UNDER THE FUSE BOX, AND CONTROLS ALL THE FUNCTIONS IN THE VEHICLE. THIS DOES NOT SEEM TO BE A WEAR AND TEAR PART, ESPECIALLY WHERE IT IS LOCATED, NOT SURE WHY IT WOULD GO OUT UNLESS FAULTY. THIS IS A RECURRING PROBLEM WITH THE HORN. IT'S A SAFETY ISSUE TO HAVE THE HORN CONNECTED, BECAUSE IT KEEPS GOING OFF. IT'S ALSO A SAFETY ISSUE NOT HAVING THE HORN CONNECTED, WHILE DRIVING. AIRBAG ISSUES HAVE ALWAYS BEEN A PROBLEM AND CAR WAS PURCHASED BRAND NEW. DRIVER SIDE HEAD RESTRAINT IS FAULTY AGAIN AND REPAIRS WILL COST 1100 TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE HEAD REST.*DT *TR CONSUMER STATED AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON WITHIN HAVING THE CAR FOR ABOUT A YEAR.*JB
ON APRIL 7TH 2020 I WAS DRIVING UP A HILL IN A RESIDENTIAL AREA. WHEN I GOT TO THE PEAK OF THE HILL AND I WENT TO TURN LEFT, THE CAR SHUT OFF AND THERE WAS NO POWER. I HAD TO PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AND RESTART THE ENGINE. IT STARTED IMMEDIATELY. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME IT HAS HAPPENED ON THIS HILL, AT ALMOST THE SAME TIME IN THE MORNING. IT'S ALWAYS WHEN IT'S COLD AND HAS BEEN RAINING. IN TOTAL MY CAR HAS STALLED OVER 6 TIMES, ALWAYS EARLY MORNING, ON A HILL, AND IT'S COLD AND/OR RAINING.
MY 2012 DODGE AVENGER HAS CONTINUED ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS, THE FIRST IS THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER WINDOWS. THEY WON'T ROLL DOWN OR ONCE DOWN WON'T ROLL UP. SECOND MY INTERIOR LIGHTS WILL ALL OF A SUDDEN TURN ON BY THEMSELVES AND FLICKER, THIRD, FLICKERING. I HAVE TRIED REPLACING THESE POSSIBLE BROKEN PARTS BUT IT HASN'T FIXED THE PROBLEMS.
WHEN USING THE HEATER, DRIVER SIDE BLOWS HOT AIR AND ON THE PASSENGER SIDE IT'S COLD AIR. MAKES IT DIFFICULT FOR WINDOWS TO DEFROST DURING WINTER, WHICH MAKES IT A HAZARD FOR THIS VEHICLE TO BE ON THE ROAD SAFELY. *TR
THE DEALERSHIP STATED THAT THE CAR TIRE'S WERE CHECK I THAN HAD TO COME BACK 2 DAYS LATER BECAUSE OF THE WHEEL SHAKING BADLY AND MAKING A LOUD NOISE . THE DEALERSHIP STATED THAT THE CAR HAD A BAD WHEEL BEARING AND THAT THEY MISSED IT . I THAN BROUGHT CAR TO BE FIXED AND WAS TURNED AWAY BECAUSE OF THE WEATHER CONDITIONS WHICH DEALERSHIP WAS ALREADY AWARE OF EVEN AFTER TELLING THEM I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING THE CAR HOME ON THE RAIN I WAS STILL TURNED AWAY AND ASKED TO COME BACK AT A CONVENIENT TIME FOR THE DEALERS MECHANICS CAR WAS SWERVING ON HIGH WAY DUE TO TIRE AND RAIN AND COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT
MY CASE# [XXX], SHOP WAS NOT ABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM AND THERE APPEARS TO BE A SHORT SOME WHERE IN THE COLUMN OF THE STEERING WHEEL. MY HORN HAD TO BE DISCONNECTED JUST SO IT DOESN'T CONTINUE TO BLOW WHILE I AM DRIVING. MY NERVES HAVE GOTTEN VERY BAD, LISTEN TO THIS HORN CONTINUALLY BLOWING, CAR CAN BE PARKED, OR MOVING. WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE STREET, ALL OF SUDDEN MY HORN, STARTS GOING OFF, I TOOK CAR TO MEINEKE SHOP, THEY TOLD ME THE BALANCE INSIDE THE STEERING WHEEL WAS BROKEN, TWO OF THE 3 SPRINGS WERE BROKEN. ORDERED THE PART FROM CHRYSLER, THEY PUT THE NEW PART IN, AND TWO DAYS LATER HORN STARTS BLOWING AGAIN WHILE DRIVING. THEY ARE STILL TRYING TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM. THE HORN BLOWING WHILE DRIVING DOWN STREETS IN LOS ANGELES, CALIF, NOT GOOD IDEA FOR HEALTH REASONS. *TR
MY AC HAS STOP BLOWING COLD I HAVE CHANGED COMPRESSOR, ACTUATORS, N CONTROL MODULE AND STILL AIR ISN'T BLOWING COLD. CAR WAS IN MOTION WHEN AC STOP WORKING PROPERLY.
I WAS DRIVING 35 MPH ON A STREET WHEN THE ENGINE LIGHT POPPED ON AND THE CAR STOPPED ACCELERATING THE WHEEL BECAME VERY STIFF AND THE BRAKES WEREN'T WORKING. I MANAGED TO TURN THE WHEEL ENOUGH TO MAKE A TURN ON A NON BUSY STREET AND MANAGED TO PUT IT IN PARK ONCE IT STOPPED ROLLING. I TURNED THE CAR OFF FOR 10 MINUTES BEFORE STARTING IT UP TO HEAD TO THE MECHANIC UP THE ROAD TO THE MECHANIC. DIAGNOSTIC SAYS CATALYTIC CONVERTER.
THE CAR WOULD INTERMITTENTLY ACCELERATE WITH OUT ME USING THE GAS PEDAL. I LEARNED THERE WAS A THROTTLE CONTROL SYSTEM ISSUE. THE FLAP INSIDE THE THROTTLE BODY WOULD NOT CLOSE CAUSING THE CAR TO WANT TO MOVE FORWARD QUICKLY EVEN IN STOPPED TRAFFIC. NEARLY CAUSED ME TO REAR END A CAR IN FRONT OF ME. I HAVE LEARNED THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE IN THE DESIGN AND HAS BEEN REDONE. VERY EXPENSIVE REPAIR AND DANGEROUS IF CHRYSLER KNOWS THIS IS A PROBLEM WHY NOT RECALL IT?
IN THE LAST 3 YEARS MY VEHICLE HAS STALLED 5 TIMES. TODAY WAS THE 5TH TIME. I WAS ON A HILL ABOUT TO TURN ONTO ANOTHER STREET, AND AS I STARTED TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL, THE CAR TURNED OFF. IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO STEER WITH NO POWER. I TURNED THE CORNER THEN PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL TO START IT UP AGAIN. I WAS DRIVING ONLY ABUT 5 MILES PER HOUR ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET THANKFULLY. THE WEATHER WAS COLD BUT NOT RAINING. ALL 5 TIMES THAT THE CAR HAS STALLED IT HAS BEEN A COLD MORNING, AND I WAS ON AN INCLINE
MY FUEL SYSTEM IS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY, THE FUEL GAUGE WILL NOT MEASURE HOW MUCH GAS IS IN CAR WHEN DRIVING. A RECALL STARTED 07/26/ 2007 FOR SAME ISSUE BY AIR TEX. THEY WERE REPLACING GAS PUMP. PHONE # GIVEN FOR CONTACT IS NOT VALID, CAN YOU HELP.
THE PASSENGER SIDE BLOWS COLD AIR. RESEARCHING I SEE THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE. I LIVE IN MINNESOTA AND IN THE WINTER MONTHS IT IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AS THE WINDSHIELD FREEZES AND FOGS UP. VISIBILITY IS DECREASED AND DANGEROUS!!
I CHANGED THE 3 BLEND DOOR ACTUATORS AND I'M NOT STILL NOT GETTING HEAT AIR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF MY CAR, ONLY DRIVERS SIDE. THE DEALERSHIP WILL NOT FIX THE PROBLEM.
THE HEAT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WENT OUT WHILE THE DRIVERS SIDE STILL HAD HEAT. WE WERE DRIVING IN SNOW AND ICE AND HAD VERY LIMITED VISIBILITY OUT OF THE WINDSHIELD OF THE PASSENGER SIDE AS WELL AS THE SIDE WINDOWS WHEN CHECKING FOR TRAFFIC WHILE DRIVING ON AN INTERSTATE. I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE IN DODGE AVENGERS. THE ACTUATOR WAS CHANGED WHICH DID NOT HELP. THE DRIVERS SIDE HEAT IS NOW VERY REDUCED WHICH IS CAUSING MORE VISIBILITY ISSUES IN DRIVING IN SNOW AND RAIN
Heater/Defrost, Yes it is available upon request. The defrost and passenger side heat only blows cold air I have changed everything possible and still the problem remains. I cannot see out of the windshield passenger side because it does not defrost. It has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance Etc. No warning I bought the car used it has always had this issue among many many others. I have read up on it and it seems like a significant amount of people that own this car have the same issue.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FERMAN CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM ' WESLEY CHAPEL (24314 FL-54, LUTZ, FL 33559) AND THE CONTACT WAS PROVIDED AN ESTIMATE FOR THE REPAIR OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT DECLINED THE REPAIR. ADDITIONALLY, THE DRIVER'S SIDE HEADREST DEPLOYED WHILE PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V640000 (SEATS, AIR BAGS) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
THE PASSENGERS SIDE OF MY HEATER INCLUDING DEFROSTERS'S BLOWS COLD AIR. THE CAR ONLY HAS 50,500 MILES. THIS CAUSES THE PASSENGERS SIDE TO NOT PROPERLY DEFROST AND FOR ANY PASSENGER IN THE CAR TO BE COLD AS COLD AIR IS BLOWING AT THEIR FEET OR FACE DEPENDING ON WHERE THE CONTROL IS SET. THIS IS A CONTINUED ISSUE UNTIL I FIND OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM IS.

MY VEHICLE IS STALLING OUT AT ANY SPEEDS WHILE DRIVING THERE ARE NO ENGINE LIGHTS VEHICLE ALWAYS STARTS BACK UP
THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDSHIELD DEFROSTER PUTS OUT COLD AIR EVEN AFTER THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN WARMED UP AND DRIVEN FOR A WHILE. THIS OFTEN MAKES MY CAR DIFFICULT AND DANGEROUS TO DRIVE BECAUSE THE WINDSHIELD WILL NOT DEFROST OR DEFOG IN A TIMELY MANNER OR AT ALL.
I HAVE HAD MY 2012 DODGE AVENGER FOR A LITTLE OVER A YEAR. THE HEAT DOES NOT WORK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AND I WAS TOLD BY THE MECHANIC I PURCHASED FROM THAT IT WAS AN ISSUE WITH ALL THESE CARS AND NOTHING COULD BE DONE. ALSO IN THE PAST 6 MONTHS MY CAR HAS WENT DEAD WHILE DRIVING AND WOULD NOT CRANK FOR AT LEAST 3 TO 4 HOURS. I WAS JUST ON THIS INTERSTATE FRIDAY NIGHT GOING 60 AND MY CAR WENT DEAD AND HAD TO COAST OF THE INTERSTATE IN A REALLY BAD PART OF TOWN. I SEE THAT THERE ARE MANY ISSUES WITH BOTH OF THESE AND CANNOT BELIEVE THAT NOTHING IS BEING DONE ABOUT THIS. THANKS DODGE.
MY DODGE AVENGER HAS STARTED TO CUT OFF WHILE I AM DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY OR WHILE SITTING IN A LINE WAITING ON FOOD. I ALSO EXPERIENCE THE RIGHT SIDE OF MY VEHICLE NOT HEATING AT ALL. THERE IS ALSO A CLICKING NOISE IN MY CAR THAT HAS WORSENED OVER TIME. THERE ARE A LOT OFF ISSUES WITH THIS CAR AND TO MANY PEOPLE ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME THING. THE CONTACT RECENTLY HAD THE BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR AND THERMOSTAT REPLACED HOWEVER THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIRS, HOWEVER THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 90,000.
THE VEHICLE BLOWS HOT AIR ON THE DRIVERS SIDE, BUT COLD AIR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. SINCE IT IS BLOWING ONLY COLD AIR ON ONE HALF OF THE WINDSHIELD THE WINDOWS ICE UP, FREEZE UP AND FOG UP. THIS IS A DRIVING HAZARD, SINCE THIS IMPAIRS VISIBILTY.

THEY SUPPOSEDLY FIXED IT I GET OFF FROM WORK AND CAR SHUT DOWN THREE TIMES,BEFORE I MAKE IT TO MY HOME..THIS VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE AND THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM THAT THIS CAR IS HAVING.I DO NOT KNOW HOW LONG I CAN DRIVE THIS CAR WITHOUT SOMEONE PLOWING IN THE BACK OF ME AND HURTING ME.
THE INTERIOR DRIVERS SIDE DOOR HANDLE SLICED MY FINGER WHEN I OPENED THE DOOR.. IT LOOKS LIKE THE METAL IS SEPARATING AND IS SHARP AS A KNIFE.... MY OTHER ISSUE IS .. PASSENGER SIDE HAS ONLY COLD AIR BLOWING OUT OF THE DEFROSTER. DRIVER'S SIDE IS HOT AND WORKING PROPERLY. THIS CONDITION APPLIES WHEN THE VEHICLE IS FULLY WARMED UP, DRIVING, ACCELERATING OR STATIONARY
PASSENGER SIDE AIR CONDITIONING WILL NOT BLOW HOT AIR. DRIVER SIDE WORKS PERFECTLY FINE. I'VE READ EVERYWHERE THAT IT'S A MANUFACTURER'S DEFECT WITH THE HEATER CORE ETC. THIS WILL BE MY LAST CHRYSLER PRODUCT IF NOT RECALLED AND FIXED FOR FREE.
THE ACTIVE HEAD REST BROKE AND DEPLOYED WITHOUT WARNING. THE INSIDE PLASTIC THAT HOLDS THE RETAINER ROD BROKE, CAUSING THE HEADREST TO DEPLOY. THE CAR WAS PARKED OVERNIGHT IN A PARKING SPOT OUTSIDE MY HOME WHEN THIS OCCURRED.
PASSENGER SIDE HEAT NOT WORKING. ONLY BLOWING OUT COLD AIR. EVEN WHEN VEHICLE IS WARMED UP

YES I WAS ON I 85 CONNECTOR IN CHARLOTTE NC ON MY WAY TO WORK, MY CAR STARTED RUNNING HOT HAD TO GET IT TOWED, MISS TIME FROM WORK HAD TO CATCH UBER TWO DAYS WHICH COST OVER 40 BUCKS, COME TO FIND OUT THEY SAY IT WAS MY EMISSION SYSTEM TO CAUSE MY CAR TO RUN HOT, NOW I HAVE TO MISS MORE TIME FROM WORK TO TAKE IT TO GET REPAIRED, THE EMISSION SYSTEM HAS A RECALL ON IT.
HEATER BLOWS OUT COLD, HAS PLENTY OF ANTIFREEZE BUT THERE IS A SMALL LEAK SOMEWHERE ACTUATED ON LEFT SIDE MAKES CLICKING SOUND. CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHY NO HEAT AND IT'S COLD HERE.
HEAT AND DEFROST FOR WINDSHIELD DOES NOT WORK ON PASSENGER SIDE. EVEN IF I SCRAPE THAT SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD IT STILL FROST OVER AS I DRIVE CAUSING VISIBILITY TO BE DIFFICULT ON THAT SIDE. I'VE READ A LOT OF REVIEWS AND THIS IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE ON THE V6 VERSIONS. THIS IS A MANUFACTURE ISSUE A LONG WITH BEING A SAFETY CONCERN. BEING ABLE TO SAFELY SEE IS NOT ACCESSORY IT IS ESSENTIAL. SO MANY COMPLAINTS WITH THIS EXACT ISSUE ONLY LEADS BACK TO THE MANUFACTURE. HAS NOTING TO DO WITH VEHICLE MAINTENANCE. THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE!

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND AN UNKNOWN COMPONENT WAS REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT CONTINUED TO EXPERIENCE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 126,000.
I HAVE NO HEAT COMING FROM MY VENTS NO MATTER WHAT SETTING. I'VE BROUGHT THE CAR IN TO LOCAL REPAIR SHOPS AND NO ONE CAN FIGURE OUT WHAT'S WRONG. AFTER SEEING DOZENS OF COMPLAINTS ON THE SAME ISSUE IN DIFFERENT FORUMS I DECIDED TO FILE A COMPLAINT.

WHEN WE TURN ON THE HEATER IN THE CAR AND DOESN'T MATTER WHICH SETTING WE GET WARM AIR ON THE DRIVER SIDE AND COLD ON THE PASSENGER SIDE.
HEATER CORE ISSUE. REPLACED SEVERAL TIMES YET STILL GETTING BUILD UP CAUSING HOT AIR TO BLOW ON DRIVER SIDE BUT COLD AIR TO BLOW ON PASSENGER SIDE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE AVENGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEATING SYSTEM WAS NOT WORKING AND AFFECTED HER ABILITY TO DEFROST THE WINDOWS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEATER CORE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 86,000.
PASSENGER SIDE VENTS ONLY BLOW COLD AIR. AFTER DRIVING FOR OVER AN HOUR, THE DRIVERS SIDE VENT WILL BE BLOWING WARM AIR WHILE THE PASSENGER SIDE IS STILL BLOWING COLD AIR. UNABLE TO DEFROST WINDSHIELD AND WINDOWS CAUSING VISIBILITY ISSUES.
