TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE AVENGER. WHEN THE VEHICLE'S HEATER WAS ACTIVATED, THE SYSTEM FAILED TO OPERATE AS INTENDED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE DEFROSTER FAILED TO DEFROST THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDSHIELD OR THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT WINDOW. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THERE WAS VERY LITTLE COMING OUT OF THE DRIVER'S SIDE VENTS OR DEFROSTER AND NO HEAT WAS COMING OUT OF THE PASSENGER SIDE VENTS OR DEFROSTER. THE FAILURE CAUSED ICE TO FORM ON THE INSIDE OF THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDSHIELD AND FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DON'S AUTO CLINIC INC (1110 N MITCHELL ST, CADILLAC, MI 49601, (231) 775-2413) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DUAL HEATER CORE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 66,500.
MY 2012 DODGE AVENGER HAS HEATING ISSUE. HEAT COMES OUT OF THE VENT ON THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE CAR BUT COLD AIR ON PASSENGER SIDE. I HAVE LOOKED THE ISSUE UP AND ALOT OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. WHY IS THE ISSUE WITH 2012 AVENGER NOT BEING ADDRESSED. I CAN'T DRIVE THIS CAR IN UPSTATE NEW YORK IN THE WINTER BECAUSE IT IS UNSAFE. I CAMT SEE OUT ANY OF MY PASSENGER SIDE WINDOWS OR RIGHT SIDE OF DASH BECAUSE IT ALL FOGGED UP AND FROSTED DUE TO NO HEAT IN THAT SIDE OF CAR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE AVENGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT DUE TO A FAULTY CORD, THE HEATER OF THE VEHICLE FAILED TO FUNCTION. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS CONTACTED (BILL SNETHKAMP CHRYSLER LOCATED: 164000 WOODWARD AVE, HIGHLAND PARK, MI, 48203) WHERE THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE FAILURE HAD NOT BEEN IN A PREVIOUS RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AT 1-888-992-1997. THE MANUFACTURER CONFIRMED THAT THE FAILURE HAD NOT BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH A RECALL AND THE REPAIR WOULD HAVE TO BE PAID OUT OF POCKET. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
THE HEATER CORE ON THE DODGE VEHICLES CLOGS EASILY. THE WAY THAT CLOG DEVELOPS ONLY EFFECTS THE PASSENGER SIDE HEAT. IN THESE SITUATIONS, THE HEAT IS AVAILABLE ONLY ON THE DRIVER SIDE. THIS WILL GREATLY EFFECT THE VISIBILITY ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THIS IS A WIDELY KNOW COMPLAINT AMONG ALL DODGE VEHICLES.
PASSENGER-SIDE DEFROSTER BLOWS COLD RATHER THAN HOT/WARM AIR CAUSING COLLECTION OF CONDENSATION/FROST ON THE WINDSHIELD IN THE WINTER. THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME, REGARDLESS OF IF IN MOTION OR STATIONARY. I'M TOLD IT IS A PARTIALLY BLOCKED HEATER CORE.
THERE IS NO HEAT ON PASSENGER SIDE, INCLUDING DEFROST. I LIVE IN A COLD CLIMATE AND NOT HAVING DEFROST TO CLEAR MY WINDSHIELD IS HAZARDOUS. I WAS QUOTED OVER 1200$ TO FIX THIS AND TOLD IT IS A REGULAR ISSUE WITH THIS CAR. THE HEAT ON THE DRIVERS SIDE HAS SIGNIFICANTLY DECREASED SINCE THE LACK OF HEAT ON PASSENGER SIDE.PROGRESSIVELY WORSENING PROBLEM
1 YEAR AGO PASSENGER SIDE BEGAN BLOWING COOL AIR, NOW ONLY BLOWS COLD AIR. DRIVERS SIDE USED TO BLOW HOT AIR, NOW ONLY BLOWS WARM AIR. DEFROST IS ONLY WARM ON DRIVERS SIDE. ACTUATOR DOORS HAVE BEEN REPLACED, STILL DOESN'T WORK. ESTIMATED PRICE TO REPAIR >$1200 DUE TO THE HEATER CORE NEEDING TO BE REPLACED.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DODGE COUNTRY AT (888) 676-8389 (1902 E CENTRAL TEXAS EXPY, KILLEEN, TX 76541) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEATER CORE AND THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
HEAT AND DEFROST ON PASSENGER SIDE ONLY BLOWS COLD AIR. ONLY 1/2 OF WINDSHIELD FROST CLEARS MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO SEE OUT PASSENGER SIDE WINDSHIELD AND WINDOW FOR ONCOMING TRAFFIC, PEDESTRIANS, ETC. WHEN FIRST TURNING ON, PASSENGER SIDE CLICKS FOR 30 -60 SECONDS. THIS APPEARS TO BE A COMMENT ISSUE WITH THIS CAR AND IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN!
HEAT DOES NOT WORK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR HAVE READ SEVERAL COMPLAINTS FROM NUMEROUS CUSTOMERS COMPLAINING OF THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM HE WORKS FINE ON THE DRIVER SIDE
KNOCKING COMING FROM PASSENGER SIDE EVERY 20 MINUTES. HEATER NOT WORKING BLOWS OUT COLD AIR AND NOW THERE IS KNOCKING COMING FROM DRIVER SIDE AS WELL DEFROSTER DON'T WORK ON PASSENGER SIDE MAKES HARD TO SEE DURING RAINING AND FOGGY WEATHER
MY HEATER IS NOT BLOWING OUT HOT AIR. I WAS TOLD THAT CASTING SAND WAS IN THE COOLING RESERVOIR THAT'S CAUSING THE HEATER TO NOT BLOW OUT HOT AIR AND THAT THE CASTING SAND WILL CAUSE SLUDGE IN MY COOLING SYSTEM. EVEN THOUGH THIS IS NO FAULT OF MY MAKING AND THIS HAPPENED AT THE MANUFACTURING PLANT DODGE WILL NOT FIX THEIR MISTAKE NOR IS IT COVERED BY MY LIFETIME ADDED CARE PLUS WARRANTY.
NO HEAT WHATSOEVER. CHANGED TWO BLEND DOOR ACTUATORS THAT COST ME OVER 100 DOLLARS. STILL NO HEAT. I HAVE RESEARCHED ONLINE AND HAVE SEEN MANY OTHER DODGE AVENGER OWNERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. IT IS A MANUFACTURERS PROBLEM AND DODGE REFUSES TO CREATE A RECALL FOR IT. I HAVE MADE SEVERAL CALLS TO DODGE AND THEY CONTINUE TO DENY IT IS A PROBLEM ON THEIR SIDE WHEN IT CLEARLY IS. IT WOULD COST ME >1000 DOLLARS TO REPLACE A HEATER CORE OR ANYTHING HEAT RELATED UNDER THE HOOD.
WHEN USING CLIMATE CONTROLS THE AIR ON DRIVER SIDE GETS HOT BUT AIR THROUGH THE VENTS ON PASSENGER SIDE REMAIN COLD. IN WINTER THE WINSHIELD WILL ONLY DEFROST OR DEFOG ONE SIDE WHICH OBSCURES VISION ON PASSENGER SIDE WHICH COULD LEAD TO AN ACCIDENT AND OR DEATH AS A RESULT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE AVENGER. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE AIR CONDITIONER ON THE PASSENGER SIDE ONLY BLEW OUT COLD AIR. THERE WAS NO WARNING PRIOR TO THE FAILURE. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 94,000.
2012 DODGE AVENGER ACT PLUS. STOPPED HEATING ON PASSENGER SIDE AND ONLY DEFROSTS AND UNFOGS THE WINDOW ON THE DRIVER SIDE. THIS IS AN APPARENT MANUFACTURER DEFECT THAT REQUIRES THE HEATER CORE TO BE REPLACED AS A REMEDY. I WOULD URGE DODGE TO DO A PROPER RE ALL BEFORE SOMEBODY DIES DUE TO POOR VISIBILITY. THIS, FIRST, HAPPENED TO MY CAR WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT. THE WINDOW WAS COVERED IN STEAM OR FOG (WHATEVER YOU CALL IT) AND THE BLOWER IN THE DASH WAS NOT CLEARING IT FOR PROPER VISIBILITY. I'M GLAD I DID NOT CRASH OR HURT SOMEONE BECAUSE I COULD NOT SEE. AFTER I PULLED OFF THE ROAD AND INVESTIGATED, I REALIZED THAT THE HEAT WAS NOT WORKING ON PASSENGER SIDE, IT ONLY BLEW COLD AIR, BUT DRIVER SIDE WAS WARM AIR. NOT IDEAL FOR COLD PA WINTERS AND I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO FOOT THE BILL FOR AN OBVIOUS MANUFACTURER DEFECT. I HOPE DODGE WILL RECALL THIS AND DO THE RIGHT THING BEFORE SOMEBODY IS KILLED, IF IT HASN'T HAPPENED ALREADY. THERE ARE ENDLESS COMPLAINTS EXACTLY LIKE THIS. STEP UP AND FIX IT!
NO HEAT OR DEFROST ON PASSENGERS SIDE OF VEHICLE: I FEEL THAT IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE WHEN THE WINDOW HAS FROST ON IT OR FOGS DURING DRIVING. ON NOVEMBER 20, 2017 I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP WITH NO HEAT OR DEFROST ON THE PASSENGERS SIDE OF CAR. THE DEALERSHIP FOUND THAT THE HEATER CORE WAS PLUGGED. THE CAR WAS OUT OF THE DODGE WARRANTY AND THE AFTER MARKET WARRANTY I HAD BOUGHT WITH THE VEHICLE FELT IT WAS FROM "NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR". DOING RESEARCH ON-LINE. I HAVE FOUND THAT DODGE KNOWS OF AN ISSUE WITH THIS PARTICULAR ENGINE AND SAND LEFT BEHIND DURING PRODUCTION BUT WON'T ADMIT TO IT. I AM HEADED BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN (NOV 14, 2018) TO REPORT THAT THE REPAIR THAT THEY MADE LAST NOVEMBER NEEDS TO BE DONE AGAIN, I HAVE NO HEAT OR DEFROST ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AND THAT IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE WHEN THE WINDOW HAS FROST ON IT OR FOGS DURING DRIVING.
THE CAR DOES NOT HEAT OR DEFROST WINDSHIELD PROPERLY. WHEN DRIVING IN INCLEMENT CONDITIONS (WE LIVE IN MICHIGAN) VISIBILITY IS LIMITED AND PASSENGERS ARE COLD. FROM ALL THAT I HAVE READ ONLINE AND THE DIAGNOSIS THAT I RECEIVED A MANUFACTURER DEFECT MAKES THE HEATER CORE BECOME PLUGGED NOT ALLOWING HOT AIR TO FLOW PROPERLY. HAS NOT BEEN AN ISSUE YET BUT CONCERNED IT MAY BE. ONLY REPORTING THIS DUE TO THE NUMBER OF OTHERS WHO HAVE HAD THIS ISSUE WITH THIS YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL OF VEHICLE.
BRAKE RECALL: THE BRAKES GRAB OR SLOW TO STOP CAUSING IT TO NOT STOP IN A STRAIGHT LINE OR JUMP, FLUTTER OR HESITATE TO BRAKE. ENGINE RECALL: GOT CAR 6/2017 CLINGING NOISE, AFTER 70,000 MILES, ALL OIL CHANGES 1000 MILES BEFORE ITS DUE, STARTED AFTER THE 2 OIL CHANGE. SMALL OF BURNING WIRE SMELL. (OIL CHANGE 4 DAYS GO NOW ENGINE LIGHT ON) FUEL PROPUSION SYSTEM RECALL: CAR SEEMS TO SHIFT FUNNY WHEN PUSHING GAS, STRUGGLING FOR GAS TO FLOW WHEN PUSHING THE GAS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE AVENGER. WHILE THE GEAR SHIFTER WAS PLACED IN REVERSE, THE SHIFT GEAR CONNECTOR JUMPED OFF WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO GREENWAY DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM ORLANDO (9051 E COLONIAL DR, ORLANDO, FL 32817, (888) 292-3985), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THE GEAR SHIFTER WAS TEMPORARILY REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC REPLACED THE GEAR SHIFTER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT NO RECALL WAS ASSOCIATED WITH THE VIN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
TAKATA RECALL. BEGINNING LAST WINTER THE HEAT WAS ONLY COMING OUT ON DRIVER SIDE.THIS WINTER IT WAS NOTABLY WORSE. MY MECHANIC CHECKED AND TRIED FROM ACTUATOR AND ELECTRICAL BUT SAID HOW THE HEATER CORE IS SITUATED THAT WAS THE CAUSE FOR HEAT LOSS . HE FLUSHED AND CLEANED AS BEST HE COULD AND SAID IT NEEDED A NEW HEATER CORE . IT IS VERY HARD TO KEEP WINDSHIELD DEFROSTED LET ALINE BE WARM . HE RECOMMENDED CONTACTING DODGE.AT FAST SPEEDS THE HEAT IS VERY SPARSE AND IF CAR IS WARMED UP IT IS HARDLY ANY BETTER. I CAN SEND A COPY OF MECHANIC'S BILL IF REQUESTED
THE PASSENGER SIDE VENTS BLOWS COLD AIR WHEN THE HEAT IS ON. DRIVERS SIDE WORKS AS IT SHOULD ON ALL SETTINGS BUT THE PASSENGER SIDE BLOWS COLD. IT IS NOT A DUAL CLIMATE SYSTEM AND EVERY COMPONENT IS WORKING CORRECTLY. (THERMOSTAT, RADIATOR, HEATER CORE, ETC.) I HAVE RESEARCHED EVERYWHERE FOR A FIX AND NO ONE HAS BEEN ABLE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. THIS IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT AND NEEDS TO BE RECALLED AND CORRECTED!
I HAVE A 2012 DODGE AVENGER WITH APPROXIMATELY 60K MILES. THE HEAT DID NOT WORK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. I HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY AND TOOK IT TO A DODGE DEALER FOR REPAIR. I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE HEATER CORE. THE ONLY SIGN WAS NO HEAT, NO LEAKS OR SMELLS. THE EXTENDED WARRANTY COMPANY WAS CONTACTED BUT WAS TOLD IT WAS NOT A COVERED REPAIR, IT WAS A MAINTENANCE ISSUE. I ONLY TAKE MY CAR TO THE SAME DODGE DEALER FOR ALL REPAIRS, MAINTENANCE SERVICES, RECALLS, ETC.. I PAID TO HAVE IT FLUSHED, BUT THAT DIDN'T WORK, SO I HAD TO HAVE IT REPLACED AND PAID $1100. I'VE READ THE SAME COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER DODGE AVENGER OWNERS. I CONTACTED DODGE SEVERAL TIMES AND EACH TIME I'M PLACED ON HOLD FOR HOURS AND ONCE I GET THROUGH, THEY RUSHED ME OFF THE PHONE. HOW COULD OVER 100 OTHER DODGE AVENGER OWNERS HAVE THE SAME COMPLAINT AS MYSELF REGARDING THE HEATER CORE. THE DEALER EXPLAINED TO ME THIS IS MANUFACTURE'S DEFECT AND IT SHOULD BE A RECALL. THERE WAS NOTHING I COULD HAVE DONE TO PREVENT THE HEATER CORE PROBLEM. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. NO HEAT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE CLEARLY THROUGH THE ENTIRE FRONT WINDSHIELD.
HEATER AND DEFROSTER FAILED ON PASSENGER SIDE. WINDSHIELD WILL NOT DEFROST CREATING LOSS OF VISION ON HALF OF WINDSHIELD AND PASSENGER SIDE WINDOWS. THIS OCCURS WHILE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY AND IN MOTION.
CAR BLOWING COLD AIR ON PASSENGER SIDE. TOOK TO DODGE DEALER. WAS TOLD THE HEATER CORE WAS BLOCKED, I NEEDED A NEW HEATER CORE AND FLUSHING WOULD NOT HELP. WAS TOLD NOTHING I DID WRONG NOR COULD I HAVE PREVENTED IT. ONLY TAKE MY VEHICLE TO DODGE DEALERS FOR ALL WORK. I HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY BUT IT WAS NOT COVERED. WAS TOLD IT WAS A MANUFACTURES DEFECT. CHRYSLER REQUIRES FLUSHING AT 104,000 MILE, I HAVE 67K MILES. I HAD THE WORK DONE. PAID $1075.00. AFTER SOME RESEARCH, FOUND OUT THAT THE HEATER CORE IN THE DODGE AVENGERS GOES BACK REGULARLY. MANY OWNERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. CONTACTED CHRYSLER, SAID I WAS OVER MY CHRYSLER WARRANTY. NOTHING THEY COULD DO.
HEAT VENTS ON PASSENGER SIDE BLOWING COLD AIR
I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE OCTOBER 22, 2014. AFTER A WEEK WENT BACK TO DEALERSHIP EXPLAINING THE HEAT DID NOT WORK ON PASSENGER SIDE. HE TOLD ME TO BRING IT BACK IT. TOOK IT BACK IN, SERVICE PARTS TOLD ME IT WASN'T COVERED -- MANUFACTURER DEFECT. TOOK THE CAR IN TO THOMAS DODGE THEY SAID I NEEDED A NEW RADIATOR AND THE HEATER CORE WAS CLOGGED -- COST TO REPAIR $1900. I BOUGHT THE CAR WITH 60,000 MI. I'VE PUT @20,000 MILES ON IT IN 3 YEARS. AND BOUGHT A SERVICE CONTRACT. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A KNOWN PROBLEM -- I'M JUST STUMPED. I NEED SOMETHING RELIABLE.

HEAT ONLY WORKS ON DRIVER SIDE , COLD AIR ON PASSENGER SIDE
PASSENGER SIDE HEATER/DEFROSTER INOPERATIVE (BLOWS COLD AIR) CAUSING POOR VISIBILTY IN INCLEMENT AND COLD WEATHER. BEGAN SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASE IN SEPT 2017 AND HAS CONTINUED SINCE
MY 2012 AVENGER RT IS AT 72600 MILES. BEFORE LAST WINTER WHEN I WAS AT ABOUT 60K MILES ESTIMATED, MY PASSENGER SIDE HEAT STOPPED WORKING. ONLY COLD AIR WILL BLOW FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO DEFROST THE WINDSHIELD WITHOUT STARTING THE CAR FOR AT LEAST 15 MINUTES. I HAVE NOTICED THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM IN THIS MAKE/MODEL BUT YET IT HAS NOT BEEN RECALLED. THE EXPENSE I HAVE SEEN IS BETWEEN $1000 TO $3000 DOLLARS WHICH IS UNACCEPTABLE. FIRST DODGE I HAVE OWNED AND WILL PROBABLY BE MY LAST AS WELL. THE FIRST TIME I NOTICED THE ISSUE WAS WHEN WINTER FIRST CAME AND WE COULDN'T TAKE MY CAR BECAUSE IT WAS TOO COLD FOR MY GIRLFRIEND TO RIDE IN.
MY 2012 DODGE AVENGER RT HAS NO HEAT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. NOT ONLY IS THIS UNCOMFORTABLE, IT IS ALSO UNSAFE AS THIS LEADS TO THE WINDSHIELD NOT BEING ABLE TO BE DEFROSTED. MANY SITES I HAVE SEEN PEOPLE WITH THIS SAME ISSUE. DODGE NEEDS TO OWN UP TO THIS AND FIX THIS SAFETY HAZARD.
THE HEATER CORE HAS FAILED CAUSING ONLY MILD HEAT ON THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. WHILE ONLY COLD AIR WILL BLOW ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. WITH THIS FAILURE FROM BAD CASTING SAND REMOVAL UPON MANUFACTURING OF THE VEHICLE IT HAS CAUSED THE THERMOSTAT TO FAIL CAUSING MY VEHICLE TO RUN FAR BELOW OPERATING TEMP. SINCE THE CABIN SPACE CANNOT RECEIVE FULL HEAT IT MAKES FOR DANGEROUS OPERATING CONDITIONS IN COLD CLIMATES AS I CANNOT DEFROST THE FRONT WINDSHIELD. THIS HAS MADE OPERATING THE VEHICLE DURING WINTER DANGEROUS AS I CANNOT SEE WHILE DRIVING. THE VEHICLE WILL NOT PROVIDE PASSENGER SIDE HEAT NO MATTER IF THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION OR NOT. WHILE IN MOTION THE VEHICLE WILL NEVER GET TO OPERATING TEMP NOR WILL THE FRONT WINDSHIELD DEFROST.
HEATER CORE. BLOWS HOT AIR ON DRIVER'S SIDE, COLD AIR ON PASSENGER SIDE ALL THE TIME WHEN USING HEATER.
IN MY CAR THERE IS NO HEAT. AT FIRST IT STARTED WITH JUST HEAT BLOWING FROM THE DRIVER SIDE AND SLOWLY THE HEAT COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING. THE CAR MAKES A LOUD TICKING NOISE BEHIND THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT WHEN THE HEAT IS TURNED ON, AND EVEN WHEN IT IS JUST SITTING IN THE PARKING LOT OFF.

THE HEAT IN MY VEHICLE WORKS ONLY ON THE DRIVER SIDE. THE MIDDLE AND PASSENGER SIDE VENTS BLOW OUT COOL OR COLD AIR WHEN THE HEAT IS ON. THE HEAT ONLY WORKS WHEN ACCELERATING ON THE HIGHWAY. I HAVE REPLACED TUBING AND BOTH THERMOSTATS AND THE ISSUE IS NOT RESOLVED.
HEAT DOES NOT WORK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FLOOR. ONLY BLOWS COLD AIR. MECHANIC HAS CHECKED IT AND I RECEIVED AN ESTIMATE OF $1,000 TO $1,200. MECHANIC STATED HE HAS SEEN THIS PROBLEM IN SEVERAL OTHER DODGE AVENGERS.
HEATER BLOWS COLD AIR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AT ALL TIMES, AND HAS WEAK HEAT ON DRIVERS SIDE AS WELL WHICH CAUSES WINDOWS TO FOG UP AND NOT BE ABLE TO BE DEFROSTED LIMITING VISIBILITY GREATLY. IT ALSO IS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE BEING IN THE CAR WITHOUT A PROPERLY WORKING HEATER.
EVERY TIME I START THE CAR IT MAKES A TICKING NOISE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE FOR ABOUT 15 SECONDS, IT THEN STOPS. THE PASSENGER SIDE IS NOT BLOWING OUT HEAT RATHER COLD AIR.

THERE IS ALSO SOMETIMES WAS A CLICKING NOISE UNDER THE PASSENGER SIDE DASH WHICH IS THE ACTUATOR. AFTER REPLACING THIS IT STILL DOES THE SAME THING. I HEAR THAT IT COSTS THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO FIX AND I BELIEVE IT IS A MANUFACTURER ISSUE AND THEY SHOULD RESOLVE IT.

WE RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL FOR OUR 2012 DODGE AVENGER THAT OUR SEATBELTS AND AIRBAGS MAY NOT WORK IN A CRASH. OF COURSE WE WERE VERY CONCERNED AS THIS WAS OUR ONLY CAR. WHEN WE CALLED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THIS VERY DANGEROUS SAFETY RECALL FIXED, THEY LIED AND TOLD US IT WOULD TAKE A WHILE FOR THE PARTS TO BECOME AVAILABLE. WE GOT TIRED OF WAITING AND WENT TO TRADE THIS CAR IN FOR A TOYOTA. WE WERE SHOCKED TO HEAR THAT THIS SAFELY RECALL WAS STAMPED WITH "NO FIX" AVAILABLE. DODGE WILL NOT FIX THIS ISSUE AND WE LOST OVER $7,000 IN TRADE IN VALUE DUE TO THIS "NO FIX" SAFETY RECALL. HOW CAN THESE COMPANIES GET AWAY WITH NOT FIXING SUCH A DANGEROUS SAFETY RECALLS AT THE EXPENSE OF THE CONSUMER?
WINDSHIELD WIPERS WILL RANDOMLY STOP WORKING. ISSUE HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY AND IN MOTION. I WAS ON THE EXPRESS WAY IN A DOWNPOUR RAIN AND MY WIPERS STOPPED WORKING, I HAD ZERO VISIBILITY AND HAD TO PULL OVER FOR 20 MINUTES UNTIL THEY CAME BACK ON.
