DRIVER SIDE BLOWS LIKE WARM HEAT, PASSENGER SIDE BLOWS FREEZING COLD AIR. I HAVE SPOKEN TO THREE DIFFERENT DODGE TECHNICIANS AND THEY SAID THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE BETWEEN 2010 AND 2015 DODGE AVENGERS AND ALL DODGE VANS. SOMETIMES REPLACING THE HEATER CORE WILL FIX IT SOMETIMES IT WILL NOT. SOMETIMES REPLACING BOTH THERMOSTATS FIXES IT AND SOMETIMES NOT. SOMETIMES REPLACING BOTH BLENDER DOOR ACTUATORS FIXES IT SOMETIMES IT DOES NOT. SOMETIMES REPLACING THE WATER PUMP FIXES IT AND SOMETIMES IT DOES NOT. MANY PEOPLE HAVE REPLACED ALL OF THOSE THINGS AND IT STILL DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE. DODGE REALLY NEEDS TO FIX THIS ISSUE BECAUSE IT IS RIDICULOUS! THIS IS THE FIRST DODGE I HAVE EVER OWNED AND IT ABSOLUTELY WILL BE THE LAST DODGE I WILL EVER OWN!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE AVENGER. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO DECREASE IN SPEED AND THE BRAKES INDEPENDENTLY BEGAN TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE BRAKE WARNING INDICATOR WAS ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE WAS PERSISTENT. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 67,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THERE WAS ONE INJURY THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE CONTACT SUFFERED FROM SEVERE PAIN, PINCHED NERVES, AND DISC DAMAGE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 51,000.

WHILE I WAS DRIVING MY CAR ON A CITY STREET THE CAR RED LIGHTNING WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND STARTED TO REDUCE IN SPEED WILL NOT GO PASS 10 MPH, I LOOK ONLINE FOR PROBLEM WITH OTHER DODGE AVENGERS OWNERS STATED IT WAS THE THROTTLE BODY AND IT NEEDS TO BE RECALLED ITS HAPPENING TO MANY PEOPLE, I WENT TO MECHANIC THEY PUT IT ON COMPUTER RESET SETTINGS CAR IS RUNNING FINE, I THINK DODGE WILL DO THIS SO U NEED TO REPLACE IT, IF U LOOK ON INTERNET TO MANY PEOPLE HAVING SAME PROBLEM AND DODGE TAKE THEM FOR A RIDE OF 1000 OR MORE I WILL LIKE THIS TO BE INVESTIGATED.
CAR BLOWS HOT AIR OUT DRIVER SIDE AND COLD AIR IN THE MIDDLE AND PASSENGER-SIDE TOOK IT IN AND THEY SAID IT WAS A RESTRICTED HEATER CORE AND IT IS NOT COVERED BY AN EXTENDED WARRANTY BUT IT IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH DODGE AVENGERS YET THERE IS NO RECALL
TAMARA RECALL. OK I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE HEATER CORE IN MY 2013 DODGE AVENGER. I'VE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY TELL ME THAT THE HEATER CORE IS PLUGGED AFTER FURTHER INVESTIGATION ON THE INTERNET I LEARNED I'M NOT THE ONLY CONSUMER WITH THIS PROBLEM. THE DEALERSHIP TELLS ME IT A DEFECT IN THE MANUFACTURING OF THE HEATER CORE FROM THE FACTORY BUT NO RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED AT THIS TIME AND THERE IS SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS. I HAVE HEAT ON THE DRIVERS SIDE BUT BLOWS COLD ON THE PASSENGER SIDE NOT ALLOWING THE DEFROST TO MELT THE ICE ON THE WINDSHIELD. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION AND COULD CAUSE TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS. WITHIN THE LAST THREE MONTHS I RECEIVED A LETTER IN THE MAIL NOTIFYING MYSELF THERE WAS A RECALL WITH MY CARS MAKE MODEL AND YEAR BUT THERE IS NO REMEDY AVAILABLE. THE RECALL HAS TO DO WITH THE SAFETY RESTRAINT SYSTEM. THE RECALL WAS CREATED IN SEPTEMBER OF 2016. THE DATE SELECTED IS THE APPROXIMATE DATE I RECEIVED THE LETTER.

I RECIEVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM FCA TELLING ME THAT MY AIR BAGS AND SEAT BELTS MIGHT NOT WORK IN A CRASH AND THERE IS A RECALL BUT THEY DON'T HAVE REMEDY AVAILABLE AND THEY WILL CONTACT ME WHEN THEY FIGURE OUT HOW TO FIX IT. I HAVE SMALL CHILDEREN AND IF I GET INTO A CAR CRASH I HOPE THAT MY SEAT BELTS AND AIR BAGS WOULD WORK AND FOR DODGE TO TELL ME NOT TO WORRY EVEN THOU THEY MIGHT NOT WORK IS UNACCEPTABLE.

I RECEIVED A IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL FROM FIAT CHRYSLER AUTOMOBILES FOR A FAULTY OCCUPANT RESTRAINT CONTROLLER IN MY VEHICLE. I CALLED CHRYSLER CUSTOMER CARE AND WAS TOLD THAT AT THIS TIME THERE IS NO KNOWN FIX FOR THE PROBLEM. I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT THERE HAVE ONLY BEEN FIVE CASES OF INJURY OUT OF THE THOUSANDS OF CAR OWNERS WITH THIS PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD THAT THERE IS A CHANCE THAT INJURY COULD ENSUE BUT IT WAS UNLIKELY. I HAVE THE RIGHT TO NOT PUT MY FAMILY IN DANGER AND WOULD LIKE TO HAVE MY CAR BOUGHT BACK. IT IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE AND NEED ASSISTANCE IN GETTING THIS PROBLEM REMEDIED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SO ME AND MY FAMILY CAN SAFELY DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY.

I RECEIVED A LETTER INFORMING ME ABOUT THIS SAFETY RECALL IN OCTOBER 2016. AS OF YET THERE IS NO FIX AND THIS IS MY ONLY VEHICLE FOR TRANSPORTATION AS OF NOW. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND TAKING TOO LONG FOR SUCH A SAFETY RECALL.
TAKATA RECALL I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE. I HAVE KIDS. THEY WON'T PROVIDE A RENTAL. I PAY A LOAN IN A VEHICLE THAT I CANNOT DRIVE. ITS BEEN MONTHS SINCE THE RECALL?
I RECEIVED NOTICE STATING THAT THERE IS A CURRENT SAFETY RECALL FOR : THE POTENTIAL LOSS OF AIR BAG AND SEAT BELT PRETENSIONER DEPLOYMENT CAPABILITY IN SUCH CRASH EVENTS MAY INCREASE THE RISK OF INJURY IN A CRASH. IT WAS RECALLED IN OCT2016 WE ARE IN JAN2017 AND I HAVE YET TO HEAR ANYTHING AND WE HAVE TWO OF THESE SAME VEHICLES. WE HAVE YOUNG CHILDREN RIDING IN THESE VEHICLES AND WE COMMUTE FOR WORK DAILY. THIS IS A GREAT CONCERN!

THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE AND THERE WAS NO TIME FRAME FOR WHEN THEY WOULD ARRIVE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
ON SEPTEMBER 26 2016, THE DRIVER'S SIDE HEADREST EXPLODED AND CAME LOSE (FOR NO APPARENT REASON). EXPERIENCING HEADACHE DUE TO THE BUMP ON MY HEAD. DESPITE THE VEHICLE BEING ONLY THREE YEARS OLD, AND WITH JUST 56000 MILES, THE RADIATOR AND AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS HAVE BEEN REPLACED! 2013 DODGE AVENGER IS NOT A SAFE CAR TO DRIVE AND NEEDS TO BE THOROUGHLY INVESTIGATED FOR QUALITY AND SAFETY. THE HEADREST EXPLOSION HAPPENED WHILE THE ENGINE WAS OFF AND WAS ABOUT TO EXIT THE VEHICLE INSIDE MY GARAGE.
WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY DOING 75 MPH, MY 2013 AVENGER IMMEDIATELY DROPPED TO 40 MPH. IT FELT LIKE A CAR HAD RE ENDED ME, AFTER DROPPING TO 40, MY CAR LOST ALL POWER. MY RPMS WENT TO 0, AND I HAD NO CONTROL WHILE STEERING. IT LEFT ME STRANDED FOR 45 MINUTES AND SUDDENLY TURNED BACK ON. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES ALREADY. ALSO, BEFORE I HAD THE DEALERSHIP DISCONNECT MY HORN, IT WOULD RANDOMLY BLARE. SITTING IN TRAFFIC AND IT WOULD GO OFF. SOMETIMES IT WOULD BEEP ONCE, OTHER TIMES IT WOULD LAST ANYWHERE FROM 2-10 MINUTES. TURNING THE CAR OFF WOULDN'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM, IT WOULD ACTUALLY CONTINUE. THE MECHANICS TOLD ME IT WAS MY TIPM (TOTAL INTEGRATED POWER MODULE) THAT CAUSED THIS TO HAPPEN, ONLY SEEN IN CHRYSLER MODELS. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN ONGOING STARTING WITH MY HORN SINCE SEP. 23RD, 2016.
VEHICLE BRAKES AND STEERING FROZE UP WHILE ATTEMPTING TO GO AROUND ANOTHER DRIVER. THIS RESULTED IN A TOTAL LOSS. THIS WAS ON A DRY CITY STREET. THE DRIVER IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE WAS TURNING INTO A BUSINESS, ATTEMPTED TO GO AROUND WHEN THE BRAKES AND STEERING JUST STOPPED WORKING. THIS VEHICLE WAS JUST SERVICE A FEW WEEKS PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT.
