TAKATA RECALL: I HAVE A 2010 DODGE CHARGER WHICH SINCE 2.5 YEARS AGO I'VE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE. I HAVE REPLACED ALL THE PARTS DEALING WITH THE SUSPENSION. I'VE PURCHASED THE CAR IN 2014. IN 2016 I'VE REPLACED THE FRONT END PARTS. 2017 SAME THING. IT'S NOW 2018 IT'S MAKING THE SAME EXACT NOISE ONCE AGAIN. I LOVE MY CAR. BUT WITH THESE SAME ISSUES YEAR AFTER YEAR HAVE TO BE A RECALL ON THE FRONT END SUSPENSION.
MY ESP KEEPS COMING ON AND IT'S BEEN CHANGED. THE CLEAR COAT IS PEELING OFF IN DIFFERENT SPOTS OF MY VEHICLE AND I'VE NOTIOCED THAT OTHER VEHICLES WITH THE SAME YEAR AS MINES IS DOING THE SAMETHING. MY CO-WORKER HAS THE SAME YEAR AS I DO AND WAS WONDERING IF SHE GOT A LEMON AND I ASKED HER WHAT YEAR SHE HAD AND WE BOTH HAVE A 2010 DODGE CHARGER

ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, THE VEHICLE REQUIRED SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO BE STARTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE WIN MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V200000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 119,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE CHARGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE STARTED WITHOUT THE STARTER KEY BEING LOCKED INTO THE IGNITION. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE WITHOUT THE STARTER KEY. IN ORDER TO STOP THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT WOULD INSERT THE STARTER KEY AND TURN IT TOWARDS THE OFF POSITION. THE STARTER KEY FAILED TO LOCK INTO THE IGNITION IN ORDER TO REMAIN INSERTED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 131,000.
TAKATA RECALL - I HAVE BEEN TOLD MY CAR MY BE AFFECTED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE CHARGER. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE ABS INDICATOR ILLUMINATED WITHOUT WARNING AND THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY LOST POWER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO SEVERELY RUSTED AND CORRODED UNDERNEATH THE STEERING WHEEL PANEL, WHICH CREATED AN UNBEARABLE ODOR INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE ODOR CREATED A BREATHING ISSUE FOR THE CONTACT, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. JEEP, DODGE, RAM OF ONTARIO, CALIFORNIA WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REPLACED THE MOTOR AND ALTERNATOR, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY COVERAGE AND THE RUST ODOR WOULD NOT BE COVERED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE DEALER. THE CONTACT PURCHASED A THREE YEAR POWER TRAIN WARRANTY FROM A THIRD PARTY, BUT THE WARRANTY WAS NOT HONORED BY THE DEALER DUE TO A 7 YEAR WARRANTY EXPIRATION DATE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 137,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNED A 2010 DODGE CHARGER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED HEAD INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO A YARD. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY, BUT THE AIR BAG FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.

VEHICLE HAD A HORRIBLE START UP SOUND. THE ENGINE CONSTANTLY KNOCKED AND I TOLD THE SHOP THEY WAITED UNTIL I HAD TO GET IT TOWED THERE. THE ENGINE WENT OUT AND MY WARRANTY PAID FOR IT BUT THEY STILL CHARGERED ME FOR THINGS I ASKED THEM ABOUT LIKE THE TERMISTAT AND THE COOLING FAN.... THE MECHANIC SAID THEY WAS NOT WORKING BUT MY CAR HAD NOT CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND WENT OUT ON THE INTERSTATE

AFTER THE VEHICLE STALLED, THE CHECK ENGINE AND THE BATTERY WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE RESTARTED AFTER A JUMP START. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,300.
TAKATA RECALL- HAVING TROUBLE GETTING MY DEALERSHIP TO REPAIR MY AIRBAG INFLATOR. I CALLED SPARTANBURG CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE IN SPARTANBURG, SC, TO BE TOLD THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PART NEEDED TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE AND THEY HAD NO IDEA WHEN THEY WOULD GET ONE. I ASKED IF THEY COULD ORDER IT, AND THE RESPONSE WAS, "NO, THEY JUST SEND THEM TO US RANDOMLY. WE NEVER KNOW WHEN WE MIGHT GET ONE. CALL BACK IN A WEEK OR TWO AND MAYBE WE WILL HAVE ONE BY THEN." I NEED THIS REPAIR DONE NOW. THE DEALERSHIP IS 1 HOUR AWAY SO I NEED TO SCHEDULE IT ON A DAY OFF. THAT DAY WOULD BE NEXT MONDAY, JANUARY 18. DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!! HELP!
TAKATA AIRBAG COMPLAINT. THE DEALER HAS ONLY REPLACED THE DRIVER SIDE AND AFTER REPEATED ATTEMPTS (OVER THE COURSE OF ALMOST 2 YEARS) HAS NEVER CONTACTED US TO REPLACE THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. THE DEALER KEEPS SAYING THAT THE REPLACEMENT PART(S) IS /ARE UNAVAILABLE.

TAKATA RECALL, EVERY TIME I CALL DEALER (CASSENS AND SONS, GLEN CARBON, IL.) I GET A RUN AROUND. I WAS JUST INFORMED THAT WHEN PARTS ARE AVAILABLE , CARS IN FOR ROUTINE MAINTENANCE ARE GIVEN PRIORITY. I SHOULD NOT BE REQUIRED TO USE THEIR MAINTENANCE SERVICES TO GET A TIMELY FOR THE RECALL. THIS EFFECTIVELY PUTS ME AT THE END OF THE LIST TO HAVE THE PROBLEM RESOLVED.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT ABLE TO START. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 94,000.
BOUGHT MY 2010 CHARGER IN 2012. SLIGHT ENGINE TICKING WHEN COLD FROM DAY ONE. WORSE IN WINTER, BARELY NOTICEABLE IN SUMMER. AS TIME GOES BY, TICKING IS GETTING WORSE. CHECKED FOR ENGINE CODES AND NOTHING. CHECKED FOR OIL ISSUE AND NOTHING. TICKING IS GETTING MORE OBNOXIOUS, ESPECIALLY WHEN COLD. WHEN THE CAR WARMS UP IT FADES OUT SOMEWHAT. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH AND THERE'S A KNOWN ISSUE WITH 3.5HO ENGINES. ROCKER ARM ISSUE, PINS SHEAR OFF, ETC. DEALER CONFIRMED THIS IS MY ISSUE. BAD ROCKER ARM ASSEMBLY, LASH ADJUSTERS. FACTORY PART NUMBERS END WITH "AA" AND THE NEW REPLACEMENT PARTS WITH "AC." THIS IS ALSO AN INDICATION OF A KNOWN ISSUE. TICKING IS ON STARTUP, LOUDER WHEN ENGINE IS COOL. IT GETS BETTER WHEN IT IS WARM BUT AS OF RECENTLY, IT'S MORE CONSTANT. ROCKER ARM ASSEMBLIES NEED REPLACED ON BOTH HEADS, AND THE ESTIMATED COST IS $1100. WITH SO MANY PEOPLE HAVING THIS ISSUE, YOU WOULD THINK THERE WOULD BE A RECALL. MILEAGE IS 55,446 CURRENTLY. CAR HAD 20,000 WHEN PURCHASED.

THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V313000 (AIR BAGS), BUT THE PART TO DO THE RECALL REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ALTERNATOR FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V634000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE CHARGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT A LOW SPEED, THERE WAS A LOUD GRINDING NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE WAS EXPERIENCE NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES FOR THE FAILURE. THE DEALER REPLACED THE FRONT STRUTS AND BRAKE. HOWEVER, THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER AND REPLACED THE WATER PUMP, AND ALTERNATOR CAUSING THE ENGINE NOT TO START UP. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHOM PERFORMED A DIAGNOSTIC, WHICH LOCATED THE FAILURE AT THE ENGINE TIMING CHAIN. THE ENGINE TIMING CHAIN WAS REPLACED. HOWEVER, THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED. THE VEHICLE STALLED, WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR FURTHER INSPECTION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE WAS 112,000.
WIN MODULE FAILED ON MY CAR COSTING ME $1500 TO REPLACE. THERE IS A RECALL ON THE PART BUT NOT ON MY VIN
NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V444000 (AIR BAGS) EXCEEDED A REASONABLE TIME FOR REPAIR. THE DEALER EITHER DOES NOT HAVE, OR WILL NOT PROVIDE INFORMATION ON WHEN PARTS WILL BE AVAILABLE.
CRACKS IN SIDEWALL FOUND AT 1-2 INCHES ABOVE BEAD LINE CIRCUMFERENCE IN A SET OF FOUR UNIROYAL TIGER PAW TOURING 215/65R17 99T M+S TIRES PURCHASED MARCH 2013 AND REMOVED SEPTEMBER 2105 AT 25,000 MILES. TAKEN OUT OF SERVICE TO PREVENT IMMINENT BLOWOUT, BUT SAVED TIRES FOR POSTERITY. TREAD STILL EXCELLENT. CRACKS NOTED ONLY ON ONE SIDE OF SIDEWALL, NOT BOTH, SO EASY TO MISS IF ON INTERIOR FACING SIDEWALL.

APPROXIMATELY SEPTEMBER 10 2015 MY CAR WOULD NOT CRANK. I TOOK IT TO THE CHRYSLER DODGE DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY SAID IT WAS MY BATTERY. I PAID FOR A NEW BATTERY, AND WITHIN A WEEK MY CAR WOULDN'T CRANK AGAIN. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE NOW THEY WERE SAYING THAT ITS AN WIN WIRELESS IGNITION NODE MODULE. THERE'S BEEN A RECALL FOR MY YEAR MAKE AND MODEL, HOWEVER MY SPECIFIC VIN NUMBER IS NOT SHOWING UP FOR A RECALL, AND THE DEALERSHIP SAID THAT IT WILL BE OVER $1,000.00 TO FIX IT.
I WAS DRIVING NORMALLY ABOUT 20 MPH AND I MADE A SHARP TURN AND THE ENGINE SHUT OFF THE POWER STEERING SHUT DOWN THERE WAS A CHIME AND THE OIL LIGHT TURNED ON. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND WAS ABLE TO START IT UP AGAIN. I HEAR AND READ THAT IS A CONSTANT PROBLEM AMONG CONSUMERS.

THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE, ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL, AND THE TRACTION CONTROL WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIMING BELT, THE CYLINDER HEAD, FUEL GASKET, AND WATER PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

I AM THE FLEET SUPERVISOR FOR THE ORANGE COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE. WE HAVE TWO VEHICLES THAT HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS AS IN THE RECALL 10V200000 , OR THE CHRY RECALL #K08 . OUR LOCAL DEALERSHIP SAYS THAT OUR VEHICLE VIN NUMBERS ARE NOT IN THE RECALL. THEY WANT ME TO PAY $1129.00 PER VEHICLE TO GET THE PROBLEM FIXED. IF THEY KNOW THAT A PROBLEM EXIST , WHY WILL THEY NOT TAKE CAR OF THE PROBLEM WE ARE HAVING WITH OUR UNITS ?

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 88,000.
THIS CAR HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE. THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WENT OUT AT 85,000 MILES AND HAD TO BE COMPLETELY REPLACED, THANK FULLY THE WARRANTY COVERED IT. THIS MONTH I WAS DRIVING TO WORK AND THE CAR JUST DIED. I CALLED AAA AND HAD IT TOWED TO A TOTAL OF 3 MECHANICS INCLUDING THE LOCAL DODGE DEALERSHIP. FINAL PROGNOSIS WAS MY TIMING CHAIN BROKE. NOT FROM WEAR AND TEAR OR STRETCHING, IT JUST SNAPPED. THE SNAPPING OF THE TIMING CHAIN CAUSED THE VALVES TO BEND WHICH LEAD TO THE ENTIRE MOTOR BEING TORE DOWN AND PISTON BY PISTON AND ULTIMATELY HAVING THE BOTTOM END REBUILT/REPLACED/ETC. THE PART THAT SUCKS IS THIS IS A RECALL FOR MY MOTOR, YEAR, AND VEHICLE HOWEVER MY VIN NUMBER WASNT LISTED AS PART OF THE RECALL. SO I HAD TO PAY $4000 TO HAVE MY CAR FIXED BY AAA MECHANIC BECAUSE THE DODGE DEALER WANTED $7000 TO FIX IT.

I WAS ATTEMPTING TO LEAVE WALMART PARKING LOT AND WITHOUT WARNING THE CAR DIED. I TOOK IT TO BE SERVICED AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS GIVING NO DIAGNOSTIC CODES. I PICKED THE CAR UP 3 DAYS LATER AND WHILE BRINGING IT HOME IT DIED 3 TIMES. I RESEARCHED FOR REPORTED COMPLAINTS AND FOUND THAT THIS APPEARS TO BE AN ONGOING ISSUE. WHY ARE THESE CARS BEING SOLD? THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION AND I'M PAYING FOR A VEHICLE THAT I CAN'T DRIVE BECAUSE THERE IS A GREAT RISK OF BODILY HARM OR DEATH TO MYSELF AND OTHERS. THIS NEEDS TO BE ACKNOWLEDGED AND RECTIFIED!
