I SMELLED THE STRONG ODOR OF GASOLINE INSIDE MY CHARGER. I BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHO ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS LEAKING GAS FROM AROUND THE O RING AT THE FUEL PUMP WHICH IS LOCATED UNDER THE REAR PASSENGER SEAT. THE MECHANIC TIGHTENED THE COVER TO THE FUEL PUMP AND RETURNED THE VEHICLE. ABOUT A MONTH LATER THE VEHICLE WAS NOW VISIBLY LEAKING GAS FONTO THE GROUND AND THE FUEL SMELL INSIDE THE VEHICLE WAS INTOLERABLE. I RETURNED TO THE DEALER AND LEFT IT WITH THEM FOR A DAY IN WHICH TIME THEY REPLACED THE RING, TESTED IT AND FOUND NO FURTHER LEAKAGE AND RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO ME. BY THE NEXT MORNING THE VEHICLE WAS LEAKING AGAIN, THIS TIME MUCH WORSE. I HAD TO PARK IT AWAY FROM THE HOUSE FOR FEAR THAT IT MIGHT CAUSE AN EXPLOSION WHEN IF LEFT IN THE HOT GARAGE WITH THE FUMES FILLING UP THE GARAGE. I SEE THAT THERE HAVE BEEN 71 COMPLAINTS FILED WITH NHTSA. THIS IS TRULY A DANGEROUS DEFECT AND SHOULD BE RECALLED BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED. I JUST HAD MY DAUGHTER AND GRAND KIDS IN THE CAR WITH SOME OF THE GRAND KIDS SITTING OVER THE FUEL PUMP LOCATED UNDER THE SEAT. WHO IN THERE RIGHT MIND WOULD PUT FUEL PUMPS UNDER THE REAR SEAT. THE PROBLEM SEEMS TO OCCUR WHEN THE VEHICLE'S FUEL TANK IS FULL. WHEN I MOVED IT AWAY FROM THE HOUSE IT LEFT A TRAIL OF GASOLINE TO WHERE I PARKED IT AND BY THE NEXT MORNING THERE WAS A HUGE SPOT ON THE GROUND AND THE CAR WAS FULL OF FUMES. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD IF THERE EVERY WAS ONE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 DODGE CHARGER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STALLED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S HOME. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC EXAMINED THE VEHICLE AND DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE HEAD GASKET FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
WHILE DRIVING ON SMOOTH OR ROUGH ROADS, HIGHWAYS, CITY STREETS OR EVEN PARKED WITH LOW BEAMS ON EVERY TIME ONE LIGHT WILL START TO FLICKER AND GO OUT COMPLETELY AND WILL NOT COME BACK ON UNTIL LIGHT SWITCH IS TURNED OFF AND BACK ON. FIRST WAS DRIVER SIDE FOR A WEEK OR TWO, BUT NOW STAYS ON. BUT AS SOON AS THE DRIVER QUIT FLICKERING NOW THE PASSENGER SIDE DOES IT ALL THE TIME NOT A DAY FOR THE LAST 4 MONTHS HAS IT NOT TURNED OFF. DOESN'T MATTER IF LIGHTS ON AUTO OR MANUALLY TURNED ON THIS HAPPENS. THE AMOUNT OF TIME IT TAKES TO HAPPENS RANGES FROM FEW SECONDS TO 20 MIN. DEALER ACTS AS IF THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A PROBLEM AND CAN'T DUPLICATE PROBLEM SO CAN'T GET FIXED. THIS GOES FOR ME AND THOUSANDS OF OTHERS WITH SAME ISSUE WE NOW CAN'T DRIVE VEHICLE AT NIGHT OR TAKE A RISK THAT COULD EITHER GET US A TICKET FOR NO HEADLIGHT OR COULD BE IN A DRIVING SITUATION BEING PITCH BLACK OUT NO CITY LIGHTS TO HELP SEE MAKING A TURN AND LIGHTS GO OUT. THAT IS A FOR SURE WRECK OR EVEN DEATH. I DO KNOW OF A RECALL FOR THIS POLICE CHARGER JUST MINE ISN'T THE RIGHT TYPE SO WHY NOT MAKE IT FOR ALL TYPES. A PROBLEM IS A PROBLEM NO MATTER WHAT, BUT I GUESS OUR SAFETY ISN'T AS IMPORTANT BECAUSE IF IT WAS THEN THIS SHOULD BE TAKEN CARE OF.
MY ABS AND STABILITY CONTROL LIGHTS COME ON BUT THEY GO OFF. BUT WHEN DRIVING THEY COME ON SUDDENLY I DONT HAVE BRAKES FOR SEVERAL CRUCIAL SECONDS WHEN ATTEMPTING TO STOP. THEN THE LIGHTS GO OFF AGAIN.
I GAVE THE CAR FUEL THROTTLE AND IT STALLED THEN DIED ON THE FREEWAY. AFTER BEING STRUCK BY ANOTHER CAR FROM BEHIND, THE CAR STARTED FINE AND STILL RUNS PERFECT. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. MY RESEARCH SUGGEST THE PCM ON THESE CARS ARE FAULTY.
MY VEHICLE IS HAVING ALL OF THE PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH THE P08 RECALL. MY LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS INTERMITTENTLY GO OUT WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT. COMPLETELY DANGEROUS FOR ME TO DRIVE THIS WAY. FACTORY SAYS MY VEHICLE VIN IS NOT PART OF THE RECALL. I BELIEVE THAT YOU CLEARLY MISSED DIAGNOSED WHAT VEHICLES WERE EFFECTED AS MINE IS. PLEASE HELP!
AT FIRST I WAS UNABLE TO CALL OUT THROUGH MY CARS BLUETOOTH, BUT IF I USED MY PHONE TO CALL OUT I COULD HEAR AND SPEAK THROUGH MY CAR. HOWEVER THIS DID NOT LAST LONG SINCE THE SPEAKERS QUIT WORKING. A LOUD CLICKING STARTED IN MY DASH. THE RADIO TURNS ON BUT NO SOUND. WHEN THIS HAPPENED I COULD NOT START MY CAR AFTER GOGGLING THE ISSUE I FOUND THAT OTHERS HAD THE SAME ISSUE AND SAID THAT IF YOU TAKE THE REMOTE ITSELF TO PUSH THE START BUTTON THEIR CAR STARTED. I TRIED THIS AND AT THIS TIME MY CAR WILL START THIS WAY. ALSO MY TRUNK JUST OPENS ON IT'S OWN. THIS HAPPENS CONSTANTLY. I CALLED DEALERSHIP ABOUT IT AND THEY SAID IT WAS NOT A RECALL. I'M A DISABLED PERSON, AND I NEED MY CAR TO GET TO AND FROM DOCTOR APPOINTMENTS. I DO NOT HAVE A LOT OF MONEY AND CAN NOT AFFORD TO PAY TO GET THESE ISSUES FIXED. WHEN I AM DRIVING MY VEHICLE EITHER ONE OR BOTH HEADLIGHTS WILL GO OUT. I AM ABLE TO FLIP THEM OFF AND THEY WILL TURN BACK ON BUT CONTINUE TO GO OUT AS I AM DRIVING. THIS OCCURS DURING ALL DRIVING CONDITIONS, HIGHWAY, CITY, STATIONARY, MOVING, ACCELERATING, BREAKING.
NOTICED GAS SMELL IMMEDIATELY AFTER FILLING GAS TANK COMPLETELY UP. A COUPLE DAYS LATER I HAD A VERY STRONG GAS SMELL INSIDE VEHICLE AND WHILE DRIVING. STARTED NOTICING THAT THERE WAS A MODERATE SIZE PUDDLE UNDER VEHICLE WHERE THE REAR SEAT IS. I'VE SEEN MANY REPORTS OF THIS HAPPENING AND IT DISTURBS ME THAT THERE HASN'T BEEN A RECALL.
I HAVE BEEN SMELLING GAS INSIDE OF THE CABIN OF MY CAR FOR A WHILE USUALLY ONLY IN THE MORNING OR AFTER MY CAR HAS BEEN SITTING A WHILE. FINALLY THIS MORNING, 2/5/2019, THE SMELL WAS SO BAD THAT I HAD A HEADACHE AND MY EYES WERE BURNING AND SO TOOK IT TO AN AUTO MECHANIC SHOP TO LOOK AT IT. THEY STATED THERE WAS A PUDDLE OF GASOLINE SITTING ON MY FUEL PUMP THAT IS UNDER THE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT. THAT IS THE SIDE MY DAUGHTER SITS ON AND SHE HAS BEEN COMPLAINING OF HEADACHES AS WELL. THE REPAIR SHOP SAID THAT IF I WERE TO HAVE GOTTEN INTO A WRECK AND THERE HAD BEEN A SPARK OF SOME SORT MY CAR WOULD HAVE GONE UP IN FLAMES BECAUSE THERE WAS A POOL OF GASOLINE SITTING ON THE FUEL PUMP.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LARRY H MILLER CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM PROVO (1825 NORTH UNIVERSITY PARKWAY, PROVO, UTAH 84604, 801-734-9791) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRO HYDRAULIC POWER STEERING FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY FOR THE ELECTRO HYDRAULIC POWER STEERING REPAIR. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
WHEN I START THE VEHICLE, THE LOW BEAMS WORK NORMALLY. WITHIN FIVE MINUTES OF LIGHTS BEING ON, WHETHER IDLE OR DURING DRIVING, THEY WILL TURN OFF ON THERE OWN. I AM THEN FORCED TO USE HIGH BEAMS IN ORDER TO HAVE LIGHTING AT NIGHT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 DODGE CHARGER. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THERE WAS A CLICKING NOISE COMING FROM THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT ALSO DETECTED AN ODOR OF BURNING OIL THROUGH THE VENTS AND SMOKE APPEARED FROM THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE VALVE COVER GASKET WAS FRACTURED, WHICH CAUSED OIL TO LEAK ONTO THE PRESSURE SENSOR SWITCH. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 113,680.
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, I RECENTLY HAD A VERY STRONG ODOR OF GASOLINE INSIDE OF MY VEHICLE AND NOTICED MY FUEL EFFICIENCY DIDN'T APPEAR TO BE AS GOOD AS NORMAL. I NOTICED ON CHRISTMAS EVE 12/24/18 THAT I HAD A VISIBLE FUEL TRAIL ON THE OUTSIDE GROUND, NEAR THE REAR PASSENGER-SIDE DOOR AS IT WAS PARKED. I HAVE SINCE NOT DRIVEN MY VEHICLE OUT OF CONCERN THAT THE ISSUE WOULD RESULT IN SOMETHING MUCH WORSE. I HAVE A CHILD AND WILL NOT PUT HIM OR MYSELF IN DANGER. I'M IN THE PROCESS OF TRYING TO GET MY CAR TO A LOCAL DODGE DEALER FOR SERVICE ASSISTANCE. SINCE MY CAR HAS SUCH LOW MILEAGE, AND I'M THE ORIGINAL OWNER, IT'S DIFFICULT TO BELIEVE THAT I WOULD BE DEALING WITH A FUEL LEAK FROM A 2011 VEHICLE. I'VE RESEARCHED THIS ISSUE AND HAVE FOUND NUMEROUS OTHERS THAT HAVE EXPLAINED THEY'VE EXPERIENCED THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM WITH THEIR 2011 DODGE CHARGER SE OR SIMILAR YEAR/MODEL. I'M CONCERNED THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL FOR THIS FUEL LEAK PROBLEM, BUT I HAVE NOT SEEN ANY MENTION OF AN ACTUAL RECALL ISSUED FOR THIS. FUEL SMELL AND LEAK FROM RIGHT SIDE TANK CONSTANT CAUSES LAG IN PERFORMANCE AND HAZARDOUS IN TRAFFIC AS IT WILL SEEM TO LOOSE POWER AND HESITATE HAPPENS CONSISTENTLY NOW AFTER HEAVY BREAKING OR ANY QUICK FORCE ON THROTTLE WHEN HAVING TO SPEED UP DUE TO TRAFFIC ON HIGHWAY OR TO ANY RESPONSE NEEDED WHILE DRIVING ..IE ACCIDENT AHEAD OR QUICK ACTION NEEDED TO AVOID ONE
RAW FUEL SMELL IN INTERIOR OF CAR, PART NUMBER 68159764AB PICKUP/LEVEL UNIT MODULE HAS CRACKING IN HOUSING CAUSING FUEL TO LEAK AND FUMES TO COME INTO CAR. THIS MODULE IS LOCATED UNDER THE REAR SEAT AREA OF THE CAR, AND HAS 2 PLASTIC BODY PLUGS THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO SEAL OUT THE FUMES BUT THEY FIT LOOSE AND DON'T SEAL VERY WELL, CALLED ULTIMATE DODGE IN MOUNTAIN HOME ARKANSAS AND TOLD THEM ABOUT THE COMPLAINT. THEY REPLIED IT WAS A RECALL, SCHEDULED A REPAIR ON 12/14/2018 TOOK VEHICLE IN, DEALERSHIP CALLED ME AND TOLD ME THAT IT IS NOT COVERED ACCORDING TO THE VIN #. I TOLD THEM THAT IT IS LEAKING FUEL AND THAT IT WAS A SAFETY ISSUE. THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY COULD NOT REPAIR IT BECAUSE IT WASN'T UNDER THE RECALL. I LOOKED IT UP ON GOOGLE THERE ARE SEVERAL COMPLAINTS THAT SAY ITS COVERED. THIS VEHICLE IS LEAKING FUEL SO ITS AN EXPLOSIVE ISSUE AND A FIRE HAZARD. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS. I HAD TO PURCHASE THE PART AND HAVE IT REPAIRED FOR OFFICER AND PUBLIC SAFETY. THIS IS A PATROL CAR AND THE MANUFACTURES THAT BUILD THESE VEHICLES SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THERE VEHICLES.
TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 DODGE CHARGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WITHIN LESS THAN A WEEK OF OWNING THE VEHICLE, THE STARTER BURNED OUT. THE PART WAS ORDERED AND REPLACED FROM THE MANUFACTURER FOR THE ALTERNATOR ASSEMBLY; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE FOR MONTHS. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE PLACE WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED MADE NO MENTION OF THE THREE RECALLS PERTAINING TO THE VIN. THE CONTACT HAD NOT BEEN NOTIFIED OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 19V018000 (AIR BAGS), 16V043000 (STRUCTRE), AND 17V435000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE CAR HAD AN ALTERNATOR AND AIRBAG RECALL WHICH I TRIED TO SCHEDULE SEVERAL TIMES BUT THE PART WAS NEVER READY. WHILE DRIVING TO WORK ON THE 880 FREEWAY THE CAR SHUT OFF B/C OF THE ALTERNATOR, NOW I HAVE TO PAY PUT OF POCKET AND THEY ARE GOING TO REIMBURSE ME AND I HAVE TO RENT A CAR FOR THE NEXT 2 DAYS.. INCONVENIENCE TO NO END.
WHILE DRIVING LIGHTS SHUT OFF, I SWITCH FROM AUTO TO ON, TO TURN LIGHTS BACK ON, LIGHTS FLICKER SLIGHTLY AS WELL. CAR TAKEN DEALERSHIP CHANGED CAR BATTERY, KEY FOG, AND SHORTENED WIRES TO LIGGTS. PROBLEM IS NOT FIXED.
I AM WONDERING IF I HAVE ANY FURTHER ACTIONS THAT ARE AVAILABLE TO ME FOR A RECALL SITUATION. MY CAR HAD A RECALL FOR THE TIMING CHAIN AND I HAD THE RECALL PERFORMED IN 2014. A FEW WEEKS AGO WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY DURING RUSH HOUR IN A SNOW STORM THE TIMING CHAIN FAILED AND DESTROYED MY ENGINE. I HAD SECONDS TO NEGOTIATE MY LANE AND GET TO SAFETY WHICH I COULD NOT. THE BACK OF MY VEHICLE WAS STILL STICKING OUT OF THE RIGHT LANE. I WAS INFORMED BY THE STATE PATROL I CAUSED SEVERAL ACCIDENTS BEHIND ME AND MY VEHICLE WAS ALSO ALMOST STRUCK BY A SEMI TRUCK. I DO NOT DRIVE MY VEHICLE YEAR ROUND SO BETWEEN 2014 AND NOW THE VEHICLE HAD LESS THAN 20,000 MILES PUT ON IT WITH THE NEW TIMING CHAIN. I CONTACTED DODGE AND THEY INFORMED ME THE NEW TIMING CHAIN HAD A WARRANTY OF ONLY 2 YEARS SO ALL SUBSEQUENT DAMAGE WAS MY RESPONSIBILITY. I AM MAKING THE ASSUMPTION THE CORRECT CHAIN WAS NOT PUT ON MY VEHICLE DURING THE RECALL REPAIR OR WAS NEVER CHANGED AT ALL. THE VEHICLE HAD A TOTAL OF 54,000 MILES ON IT AND ACCORDING TO ALL THE FORUMS, THIS IS TYPICALLY WITHIN THE MILEAGE THE CHAIN FAILS AND UNDER THE EXACT CONDITIONS OF WHICH I WAS DRIVING. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN WELL MAINTAINED AND HAS NO EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES THAT SHOULD HAVE LED TO A CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE. NOW DODGE WANTS TO CHARGE ME $5,000 FOR THE ENGINE REPAIR WHICH WAS CAUSED FROM THE TIMING CHAIN THEY SUPPOSEDLY INSTALLED.
THE DRIVER'S SIDE HID LOW BEAM WILL RANDOMLY TURN OFF. UPON USING THE TOGGLE SWITCH TO TURN BOTH LIGHTS OFF AND BACK TO THE ON POSITION, THE FAILED HEADLAMP WILL RE-ILLUMINATE UNTIL IT FAILS AGAIN. THIS APPEARS TO BE AN ISSUE WITH THE BALLAST, NOT THE BULB.
THE CAR BEGAN TO VIOLENTLY SHAKE, MISFIRE, AND LOST POWER WHILE TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. AFTER BEING TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP I WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WITH ONLY 75000 MILES HAS FAILED LIFTERS AND A BAD CAMSHAFT.
THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I HAVE HAD TO FIX MY FUEL PUMP. AND WHEN I DRIVE SMELL GAS. MY CAR IS A TICKING TIME BOMB.
I SMELLED GAS WHEN I FILLED MY CAR UP WITH GAS. I LOOKED ONLINE AND SEEN OTHER COMPLAINTS AND WHERE TO FIND WHERE THE SMELL WAS COMING FROM. I LIFTED UP THE REAR SEAT AND THERE WAS FUEL SITTING ON TOP OF THE FUEL PUMP RIGHT UNDER THE SEAT. THERE IS NO PROTECTION BETWEEN THE SEAT AND FUEL PUMP. SO NOW MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON WHICH IS DEACTIVATING MY REMOTE START. I FEEL LIKE THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL AND I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE THIS FIXED. IT'S VERY DANGEROUS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 DODGE CHARGER. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN TO 90 MPH. THE ABS WOULD NOT RELEASE AND THE CONTACT HAD NO CONTROL OVER THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT HAD TO APPLY MORE PRESSURE THAN USUAL TO THE BRAKE PEDAL TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,426.

MY 2011 DODGE CHARGER RT 5.7L V8 HEMI STARTED HAVING ISSUES RUNNING, IT FELT LIKE IT WAS IDLING HIGH WHEN SITTING STILL WHILE RUNNING IN DRIVE, BUT THE RPM'S WERE NORMAL. THEN IT WOULD PERIODICALLY SOUND LIKE IT WAS NOT GOING TO START, WHEN TURNING IT ON, IT WOULD SPUTTER AND STRUGGLE TO START, BUT T WOULD START. THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE VEHICLE STARTED HAVING ISSUES ON THE HIGHWAY AT HIGH SPEEDS, IF YOU TOOK YOUR FOOT OFF ACCELERATOR TO SLOW DOWN GRADUALLY AND THEN TRY TO ACCEL AGAIN IT WOULD WOULD NOT ACCCEL, AND IT WOULD FEEL LIKE IT WAS PULLING BACK, OR BRAKING. THE CAR WOULD THEN JUMP TO ACCEL LIKE IT WAS JUST PUT INTO GEAR. AFTER A DIAGNOSIS WE FOUND THERE WAS A CYLINDER 3 MISFIRE.THE SPARK PLUGS WERE CHANGED, ALL OF THE, AND THE COIL, AND THE INJECTOR, AND STILL IT RAN BAD. FINALLY THE DEALERSHIP WAS ABLE TO SAY THAT THERE WAS A CAMSHAFT FAILURE DUE TO AN INTERNAL ISSUE. IT WAS WIPED OUT ALONG WITH THE LIFTERS, BECAUSE THE ROCKERS STOPPED ROCKING. THIS CAR IS 7 YEARS OLD, BUT ONLY HAS ABOUT 81,000 MILES, SO THE POWER TRAIN IS UP. THE CAR WAS REGULARLY SERVICED AND TAKEN CARE OF AND THERE IS NO REASON THAT THERE SHOULD BE SUCH A FAILURE WITH AN ENGINE THAT IS SO LOW ON MILES.

I WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE STRAIGHT DOWN A CITY STREET AT 36 MILES PER HOUR THROUGH AN INTERSECTION LIGHT AND MY CAR BEGAN TO SHAKE REALLY HARD AND THE CAR BEGAN TO DROP SPEED ON ITS OWN, I WENT TO PRESS THE GAS TO ACELERATE AND THE EGINE LIGHT BEGAN TO FLASH AND THE AIR CONDITIONER STARTED BLOWING REALLY HOT AIR AND I LOST ALL POWER TO THE VEHICLE.I TRIED TO PUSH THE GAS TO TURN OFF THE BUSY STREET BUT I HAD NO POWER SO I HAD TO PRETTY MUCH COAST TO THE NEAREST PLACE TO GET OUT OF TRAFFICE. ONCE I PULLED OVER INTO A PARKING LOT THE CAR STARTED TO HAVE A SMELL AS IF SOMETHING WAS BURNING UNDERNEATH THE HOOD, AT THAT POINT I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND PUSHED THE OFF BUTTON, I SAT A FEW MINUTES THEN TRIED TO RESTART THE CAR BUT IT WOULD NOT START AND KEPT MAKING A NOISE SO I TURNED THE CAR OFF GOT OUT AND GOT MY TODDLER OUT OF THE BACKSEAT AND CALLED MY HUSBAND, HE ARRIVED ABOUT 10 MINUTES LATER AND TRIED JUMP STARTING THE CAR BUT IT WOULD NOT START AND WAS MAKING A WEIRD NOISE WHEN PUSHING THE START BUTTON, AT THIS POINT I FIGURED THE CAR STOPPED DUE TO THE ALTERNATOR RECALL THAT WAS ISSUED SO I CALLED MY INSURANCE COMPANY AND HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO MY LOCAL DODGE DEALERSHIP WHERE I HAD A DIAGNOSTIC DONE ON THE VEHICLE AND WAS TOLD MY ENGINE IS COMPLETELY BURNED UP DUE TO LACK OF OIL WHICH IS NOT TRUE BECUASE I CHECKED THE OIL DIPSTICK 2 DAYS AFTER IT HAD BEEN SITTING AT THE DODGE DEALERSHIP AND THERE WAS OIL IN THE CAR AND NO OIL LEAKS, I JUST HAD AN OIL CHANGE IN MARCH OF THIS YEAR (2018) SO I BELIEVE MY ENGINE WAS BURNED UP COMPLETELY DUE TO THE ALTERNATOR AND A CIRCUT SHORTAGE CASED THE CAR TO OVER HEAT AND BURN THE ENGINE, I NEED THIS TO BE INVESTGATED TO SEE IF THIS IS SECONDARY TO THE RECALL SO THAT I CAN SEE IF IM RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DAMAGES OR NOT BECAUSE NOW I NEED AN ENTIRE NEW ENGINE WHICH IS OVER $8,000 IN COSTS.

I STARTED SMELLING GAS INSIDE MY CAR. I NOTICED A WET PLACE ON THE GROUND UNDER WHERE MY GAS TANK IS. I TOOK MY CAR TO MY MECHANIC. HE STATED THAT WHEN THE TANK IS FULL, IT IS LEAKING ON THE TOP RIGHT SIDE OF MY TANK BECAUSE THAT SIDE IS NOT WELDED CORRECTLY TOGETHER. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD. I HAVE CHILDREN THAT RIDE IN MY CAR. MY MECHANIC SAID JUST THE COST OF A NEW TANK IS $1,100.00. THAT IS NOT INCLUDING THE LABOR TO REMOVE THE OLD ONE TO PUT A NEW ONE IN. SEVERAL TIMES, THE CAR HAS STALLED WHILE DRIVING. I HAVE HAD TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP, RESTART THE ENGINE AND IT HAS GONE AWAY. FAST FORWARD TWO MONTHS LATER THE SAME THING HAPPENED BUT I COULD NOT GET THE CAR TO START AND IT WAS TOWED TO THE SAME DEALER WITH A DEAD BATTERY THIS TIME. THEY KEPT IT FOR SEVERAL DAYS BUT COULD NOT PIN POINT THE ISSUE I.E. BAD THROTTLE BODY, BAD FUEL PUMPS ETC. HOWEVER NO CODES WERE FOUND BECAUSE THE BATTERY DIED. THE WEEK BEFORE THANKSGIVING SAME SITUATION, LOST THROTTLE RESPONSE CAR SHUT OFF GOT THE RED BOLT , BATTERY DIED. TOWED TO AAA WHERE I HAD TO PURCHASE A NEW BATTERY AND AGAIN NO CODES WERE FOUND. AGAIN THIS HAPPENED TODAY WHILE ON THE INTERSTATE TRAVELING AT ABOUT 80MPH. ARE THERE ANY TIPS OR DOCUMENTATION OF SIMILAR PROBLEMS WITH THE RED BOLT LIGHT?
