FOR TWO YEARS NOW, FUEL LEAKS FROM MY TANK AFTER EVERY FILL UP. WHEN STATIONARY IT CREATES A GAS PUDDLE. THERE IS A STRONG FUEL SMELL IN MY GARAGE WHEN TANK IS MORE THAN HALF FULL. MANY OTHER 2011 CHARGERS ARE HAVING THIS ISSUE AS WELL. A MECHANIC ONLINE HAS STATED IT IS DUE TO A CRACKED AUXILIARY FUEL PUMP MODULE THAT SHOULD NOT BE THIS DAMAGED UNDER NORMAL USE.

THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE AVOID A CRASH. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO MOVE THE VEHICLE INTO SERVICE STATION AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JIM SNATCHER MOTORS (511 CALHOUN STREET, JOHNSON, SC, 29832, (803) 275-2576) WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V435000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) HOWEVER, THE REPAIR FAILED TO FIX THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE ALTERNATOR FAILED TO PROVIDE THE NEEDED AMPS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 129,497.
I WAS FORCED TO PAY $589.96 TO HAVE THE SEAT BELT LATCHES REPLACED BECAUSE EITHER OF THE FRONT SEAT BELTS WOULD FASTEN. THE VEHICLE IS A 2011 CHARGER R/T. THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS PARTICULAR MODEL RELATED TO THE SEAT BELTS. I HAVE OWNED OTHER VEHICLES WELL BEYOND 10 YEARS AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE SEAT BELTS. THIS IS A MANUFACTURERS PROBLEM AND I SHOULD BE REIMBURSED. WORK WAS COMPLETED AT A DODGE DEALERSHIP. IN ADDITION, I HAD TO GET A RENTAL FOR FOUR DAYS, FOR THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AS IM DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY AT 70MPH AND MY CAR GOES INTO "LIMP" MODE WHICH COULD OF CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. CYLINDER 5 MISFIRE IS THE DIAGNOSIS AFTER TAKING IT TO THE DEALER. IT APPEARS TO BE A BAD LIFTER INSIDE OF THE HEAD IN WHICH CAUSED OVER 4K TO FIX. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD IN WHICH THE ENGINE FAILED WHILE DRIVING WITH MY FAMILY INSIDE!!
WHEN I MAKE SLOW LEFT TURN I HEAR GRINDING NOISE. THE OTHER PROBLEM IS NOW MY ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. SOMETIMES MY CAR SMELLS AS THOUGH IT IS BURNING AFTER I DRIVE IT FOR A WHILE AND THEN I PUT IT IN PARK AND TURN THE CAR OFF.
OIL FILTER HOUSING THE OIL FILTER HOUSING OF VEHICLE WAS DAMAGE CREATING MAJOR LEAK IN THE ENGINE WITH A HIGH RISK OF CAUSING FIRE. I NOTICED A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF OIL WHILE THE CAR WAS PARK OUTSIDE MY DRIVEWAY , I IMMEDIATELY TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE MECHANIC SHOP WHERE WAS REPAIRED COSTING ME $582 FOR PARTS AND LABOR. I CONSIDER THIS ISSUE A SAFETY RECALL DUE TO AMOUNT OF OIL SPILL IN THE MOTOR, THIS CAN DEFINETELLY CAUSE FIRE IN THE VEHICLE WHILE DRIVING.
I DRIVE A 2011 DODGE CHARGER RT MY VEHICLE CONTINUES TO LOSS POWER AND WHEN POWER IS LOST I HAVE NO POWER STREERING OR BRAKES. I WAS ADVISED MY VEHICLE HAS A ACTIVE RECALL T-36 IN WHICH THE PROBLEMS I'M HAVE ARE A DIRECT RESULT OF THE RECALL. MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP MULTIPLE TIMES AT CLASSIC DODGE IN DENTON TX. THE ONLY THING CLASSIC DODGE HAS DONE IS REPLACE THE BATTERY STATING WE HAD TO START THERE AND ADVISED ME FCA HAS NOT SENT OUT A FIX AND WONT UNTIL FEB 2018. I HAVE REPORTED TO CLASSIC DODGE IN DENTON AS WELL AS MY FCA CASE MANAGER MY VEHICLE CONTINUES TO LOSS POWER AND HAS ALMOST RESULTED IN SEVERAL CRASHES AND FCA HAS FAILED TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM AND HAS STOPPED RETURNING MY PHONE CALLS. ON 12-05-17 I WAS INVOLVED IN A AUTOMOBLE CRASH IN THE CHARGER CAUSED BY THE LOSS IN POWER AND I RAN INTO A TREE CAUSING VEHICLE STRUCTUAL DAMAGE.

THE DEALER (OURISMAN CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE OF ALEXANDRIA, 5900 RICHMOND HWY, ALEXANDRIA, VA 22303, (703) 329-1600) REPLACED THE THERMOSTAT, BUT DID NOT DIAGNOSE THE AIR BAGS. THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE MANUFACTURER ISSUED FOUR AIR BAG RECALL CAMPAIGNS, BUT IT WAS UNKNOWN IF THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.

THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT CALLED NORTHTOWN CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM AT (716) 616-3299 (LOCATED AT 2020 NIAGARA FALLS BLVD, TONAWANDA, NY 14150) AND WAS INFORMED THAT HE COULD PURCHASE A USED ALTERNATOR UNTIL THE PARTS BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT AGREED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO BE REPAIRED. HOWEVER, WHILE DRIVING, A WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED INDICATING THAT THE VEHICLE WAS LOSING POWER. ALL OF A SUDDEN, THE CONTACT SMELLED A BURNING ODOR AND THE VEHICLE STALLED AND LOST POWER. THE CONTACT CALLED NORTHTOWN CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM AND WAS INFORMED THAT A SECOND NOTICE WOULD BE SENT WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE, AND THE CONTACT COULD SEEK REIMBURSEMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.

I WAS IN A ACCIDENT THAT RIPPED MY BACK BUMPER OFF HIT THE FRONT END ON BOTH SIDES AND NOT 1 AIR BAG DEPLOYED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. I WAS HURT
TAKATA RECALL
MY 2011 DODGE CHARGER HAD THE PO8 RECALL DONE IN JULY OF 2014 AT ABOUT 48000 MILES NOW AT 94000 MILES THE SAME PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED. I WAS TOLD THE FIX WILL BE $440.+ TAX AS THE PROBLEM IS A VOLTAGE DROP IN THE HARNESS THAT WAS INSTALLED AND NOT THE ORIGINAL MELTED WIRING THAT CAUSED THE PO8 RECALL. I THOUGHT FAULTY WIRING CAUSING LOSS OF HEADLIGHTS WAS A SAFETY ISSUE.

HALL CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM VIRGINIA BEACH (3152 VIRGINIA BEACH BLVD, (866-731-2848) WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING, BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TOWED TO THE DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DUE TO THE TOW CHARGES. MY 2011 DODGE CHARGER SE SOMETIMES GOES INTO "POWER SAVE MODE", WHEN IT DOES THAT, IT MAKES A LOUD NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE SPECIFICALLY FROM THE ALTERNATOR PULLEY AND THE SERPENTINE BELT. WHEN I TURN ON THE AC AND TURN THE WHEEL, THE NOISE PERSISTS, BUT WHEN THE AC IS OFF AND I TURN THE WHEEL, THERE IS NO NOISE. WHEN THE VEHICLE GOES INTO THE POWER SAVE MODE, I FEEL LIKE I LOOSE POWER WHEN TURNING, AS IF THE VEHICLE IS GOING TO TURN OFF.
ON FOUR SEPARATE OCCASIONS, MY BRAKES HAVE SLIPPED AND THE PEDAL HAS GONE STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR. THREE TIMES AS I WAS ROLLING SLOWLY UP TO AN ATM MACHINE. THE 4TH TIME WHILE I WAS SLOWING DOWN TO A STOP LIGHT, GOING APPX 30 MPH. I JUST HAD NEW FRONT BRAKES PUT ON. I WAS TOLD THE BACK BRAKES ARE STILL 3/4 PAD LEFT. I TOLD THE MECHANIC OF THE SLIPPING AND HE SAID THEY CHECKED ALL THINGS THAT USUALLY CAUSE THIS AND ALL THOSE AREAS ARE FULLY SEALED AND LOOK GOOD. THEY CAN'T FIND ANY REASON FOR THIS TO BE HAPPENING.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V435000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE PART NEEDED FOR THE REPAIR WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED BY THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND WAS INFORMED THAT THEY WOULD NOT PAY THE FEE FOR THE PART AND WOULD REIMBURSE THE CONTACT WHEN THE PART BECAME AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,503. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
RECALL T36: MY AR CUT OFF ON ME WHILE I WAS DRIVING DUE TO THE RECALL ON THE ALTERNATOR AND POWER STEERING. MY CAR HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR 3 WEEKS AND I FINALLY GOT A CALL BACK TODAY. THE RECALL DEPARTMENT TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS AND THEN SUBMIT TO THEM FOR REIMBURSEMENT. I HAVE ARGUED ABOUT HAVING TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR A RECALL. ALSO THEY ARE TRYING TO GIVE ME A ALTERNATOR THAT STILL IS NOT THE PERMANENT FIX. SO THIS ALTERNATOR COULD STILL GO OUT ON ME WHILE I AM DRIVING LIKE THE FIRST TIME. WHEN THE CAR CUT OFF I HAD JUST GOTTEN OFF THE HIGHWAY. THANK GOD I WAS NOT ON THE HIGHWAY STILL BECAUSE THE CAR JUST SHUT COMPLETELY DOWN. I HAD NO POWER WHEN THE CAR SHUT DOWN AND I ENDED UP RUNNING UP ON THE CURB TRYING TO STOP THE CAR.
WHILE DRIVING ON A LOCAL FREEWAY ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2017, THE BATTERY SYMBOL ON THE DASHBOARD OF MY 2011 DODGE CHARGER R/T LIT UP. UPON ARRIVING HOME THERE WAS A VERY STRONG BURNING SMELL COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THAT VERY SAME DAY THERE WAS A SAFETY RECALL NOTICE, REFERENCE NUMBER: 32343087, IN MY MAIL FROM FIAT CHRYSLER AUTOMOBILES (FCA), PO BOX 218008, AUBURN HILLS MI 48321-8008 STATING THAT THE ALTERNATOR WAS DEFECTIVE AND TO NOT DRIVE THE CAR UNTIL THE PROBLEM WAS FIXED AS THE CAR MIGHT CATCH ON FIRE. THE NOTICE FURTHER STATED THAT A REPLACEMENT ALTERNATOR WAS NOT AVAILABLE AND THERE WAS NO KNOWN DATE WHEN ONE WOULD BE AVAILABLE. ON OCTOBER 20, 2017, ALMOST 2 MONTHS AND NOT HEARING FROM DODGE, I HAD DIMANO MIKE'S AUTOMOTIVE, 1640 S. SANTA FE ST., UNIT A, SANTA ANA, CA 92705 REPLACE MY ALTERNATOR AT A COST OF $903.19. ON OCTOBER 24, 2017 I MAILED TO FCA CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE THE INVOICE AND CREDIT CARD RECEIPT FOR THIS REPAIR. IT WAS DELIVERED ON OCTOBER 30, 2017. AS OF THIS DATE, NOVEMBER 10, 2017, I HAVE NOT BEEN REIMBURSED FOR THIS REPAIR.
VEHICLE STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD DUE TO ALTERNATOR SUDDEN FAILURE. THERE IS A RECALL ON ALTERNATOR PART, BUT THE DEALERSHIP WILL NOT HONOR THE RECALL.

RECALL ON ALTERNATOR ON 8/27/17 I WAS DRIVING ON THE ROAD AND MY CAR JUST STOP RUNNING. I RESTARTED IT AND THE BATTERY SAFE MODE APPEARED ON THE SCREEN. I MADE IT TO MY HOUSE AND MY CAR STOP WORKING ALL TOGETHER. I CALLED EVAN ARENA DODGE TO MAKE A SERVICE APT. THEY STATED THEY WERE BACKED UP AND GAVE ME A DATE 8/8/17 @ 10 AM. I CALLED THE RECALL 9/5/17 AGENT STATED PART WILL NOT BE IN UNTIL 2018. I STATED WHAT I'M I SUPPOSE TO DO WITHOUT A CAR, AGENT STATED THEY WILL APPROVE A RENTAL UNTIL THEN. I CALLED RECALL 9/6-9/8 TO GUARANTEE THAT MY CAR WILL GET THE PROPER CARE AND I WILL NOT BE OUT OF A CAR. CHRIS SERVICE AGENT AT EVAN ARENA DODGE STATES MY CAR PART IS ON RECALL AND THE PART WILL NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL 2018. I STATED I WAS AWARE OF THE ISSUE PER RECALL. CHRIS SERVICE AGENT GAVE ME A BILL OF $99.99 I REFUSED TO SIGN AND PAY FOR IT BECAUSE IT WAS AN ALTERNATOR RECALL ISSUE AND NOT FAULT OF MY OWN. I STATED TO CHRIS SERVICE AGENT,' WHAT ABOUT A RENTAL PER RECALL I WILL BE PROVIDED A RENTAL UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.' CHRIS STATED I DON'T KNOW WHY THEY SENT OUT THEM LETTERS OUT BECAUSE EVERYONE HAS BEEN COMING UP HERE TO GET THEIR CAR FIXED. I STATED TO CHRIS SERVICE AGENT I'M A VICTIM OF THE RECALLED ALTERNATOR AND I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT A CAR FOR A WEEK AND A HALF. CHRIS LEFT DESK AND TOM SUPERVISOR CAME AND STATED PARTS WILL NOT BE IN UNTIL MARCH 2018. I STATED TO TOM THAT'S NOT MY PROBLEM, I NEED TO GET TO WORK I HAVE 2 JOBS AND NO TRANSPORTATION. I NEED A RENTAL, TOM STATED I WILL EMAIL MY DISTRICT MANAGER AND HE USUALLY GETS BACK TO ME QUICKLY FOR THE APPROVAL OF THE RENTAL, IF IT'S THE RECALL ALTERNATOR. I STATED WELL I HAVE AN APT AT 10 AM PUT IT ON THE DIAGNOSTIC AND YOU SHOULD BE CALLING ME IN AN HOUR. ON THE MORNING OF 8/20 I DROVE 2 BLOCKS FROM MY HOUSE WHEN THE CHATTERY SAVE MODE TURNED ON ACCOMPANIED BY THE BATTERY LIGHT ON THE DASH SHORTLY AFTER THE CAR LOST POWER STEERING AND ALL ELECTRIC COMPONENTS SHUT OFF AND THEN THE CAR SHUTOFF AND WAS IMMOBILE AFTER THAT. I PUSHED THE CAR HOME AND THE CAR HASN'T TURNED OVER SINCE. I DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY AND USED A BATTERY CHARGER TO RECHARGE SO I CAN PUT MY WINDOWS UP WHEN I RECONNECTED THE BATTERY I PUT THE CAR IN RUN KNOWING THE ALTERNATOR WAS BAD AND PENDING RECALL. AS THE WINDOWS HIT THE CLOSED POSITION BLACK SMOKE STARTED COMING OFF THE ALTERNATOR AND I PROMPTLY DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY AGAIN COMPLETELY AFTER TURNING THE CAR INTO OFF POSITION AGAIN. THE LEAK COMES FROM BELOW THE DOOR HINGES AREA OF THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR DOOR. I CANNOT FIND THE ORIGIN BUT THIS IS WHERE IT DRIPS FROM. I'VE READ THAT THIS IS ALSO A COMMON PROBLEM BUT DODGE OR ANY OTHER AFFILIATE HAS RECALLED ANY FUEL COMPONENTS AND PEOPLE THAT HAVE CHANGED THE FULL FUEL SYSTEM TANK HOSES PUMPS EVERYTHING STILL CONTINUE TO HAVE THIS ISSUE WHEN THE VEHICLE IS FILLED WITH GAS TO MAX CAPACITY AND THE LEAK STOPS ONCE THE FUEL LEVEL REACHES 3/4 TANKS OR LESS.

AN UNKNOWN DODGE DEALER IN LUMBERTON, NEW JERSEY WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE CONTACT'S VIN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND AGREED WITH THE DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000.

DRIVER'S DOOR WAS LEFT OPEN AND DRIVER WAS STANDING NEARBY. ATTEMPTED TO MOVE BUT WAS HIT BY THE DOOR CAUSING SOME INJURIES. $7200 DOLLARS WORTH OF DAMAGE WAS DONE TO THE VEHICLE. AFTER FUELING MY VEHICLE ABOVE 3/4THS (BUT NOT OVER FULL) A FUEL LEAK STARTED CAUSING EXTREME FUEL VAPORS TO BE PRESENT INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF CAR. EVEN WHEN THE CAR IS NOT BEING DRIVEN (WHILE VEHICLE IS TURNED OFF). THE FUMES ARE SO STRONG THAT THEY FILL MY GARAGE AND CAN BE SMELLED FROM 40 - 50 FEET AWAY AND I HAVE TO DRIVE WITH THE WINDOWS DOWN. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERN. MANY OTHER FORUMS HAVE BEEN READ FOR ME TO REALIZE THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT, IS COMMON AMONG THIS MAKE/MODEL/YEAR, AND SHOULD BE CAUSE FOR A RECALL FOR SAFETY REASONS BEFORE SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS (FIRE, EXPLOSION, ETC). TURN CAR OFF WOULDN'T START BACKUP YOU COULD SMELL SOMETHING HOT UNDER THE HOOD. THE ALTERNATOR WAS SO HOT BURNT HAND. HAD TO CALL TOW TRUCK TO TAKE TO DEALERSHIP FOR THEM TO FIX. I WAS LUCKY THIS HAPPENED IN A PARKING LOT AND NOT ON A ROAD COULD HAVE CAUSED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. THE COST OF REPAIR WAS $1, 187.75 PLUS IT TOOK 2 WEEKS FOR REPAIR. THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT OR CAUGHT MY CAR ON FIRE.

TUNED OUT IT WAS THE ALTERNATOR THAT DIED AND THANK GOD I WAS CLOSE TO HOME AND NOT GOING FAST ELSE I COULD HAVE BEEN IN A REALLY BAD ACCIDENT AS EVERYTHING AROUND MY HOUSE IS A HIGHWAY. THE 3.5L ENGINE WAS RECALLED BUT AFTER LOOKING AT ALL THE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE 5.7L HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. THIS ALSO NEEDS TO BE RECALLED ASAP BEFORE SOMEONE DIES.
