FIRST OF ALL THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP! SUCKS! WHEN YOU CALLED THEY (IT'S A CALL CENTER), AND THEY TRANSFER WHERE NO ONE EVER PICKS UP. MY PROBLEM OCCURED ON 8/6/2014. MY CAR WAS DRIVING IN BATTERY MODE (WHICH IS NOT LISTED IN THE MANUAL BY THE WAY). SO, I CALLED THE DODGE CHYRSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE TO FIND OUT WHAT WAS GOING ON 1-800-423-6343. ONLY THING THEY ADVISE WAS TAKE TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING (WHICH YOU THE CONSUMER HAVE TO PAY FOR). NOW REMIND YOU I HAVE ONLY HAD THIS CAR FOR ONE YEAR AND I AM THE SECOND OWNER. I HAVE KEPT UP ALL MY OIL CHANGES AND REGUALR MAINTENANCE REQUIRED FOR MILEAGE, BUT ALL ALL OF SUDDEN THE FREAKING ALTERNATOR GOES OUT ON A 2012 DODGE CHARGER. OF COURSE THIS DOES NOT SOUND RIGHT. SO, I GET A CALL BACK FROM THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND THEY ADVISE ME THAT IT WILL BE $655 PLUS DIAGNOSTIC. I HAVE BEED ADVISED BY THE DEALERSHIP AS WELL AS THE CHYSLER GROUP LLC CUSTOMER CENTER THEY CAN NOT ASSIST WITH COST DUE TO DECLINE MATRIX AND THE HISTORY OF THE VEHICLE. I HAVE GOTTEN NOTHING BUT BS FROM EVERYONE IN REGARDS TO THE SO CALLED CASE NO. THEY GAVE ME. THE CUTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE HAVE BEEN EXTREMELY RUDE. I ASK FOR A MANAGER WHICH THEY ADVISED ME THEY COULD NOT GIVE ME. (REMIND YOU AGAIN I USE TO WORK FOR A CALL CENTER) I HAVE NOT NEVER HEARD A REP TELLING A CUSTOMER YOU CAN NOT SPEAK TO A MANAGER. BULL CRAP! ALSO, I WAS TOLD THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO GIVE OUT HEADQUARTERS NUMBERS OR INFORMATION OF ADDRESS (WHICH I ENDED UP GOOGLE THE INFORMATION). I PLANNED ON TAKING THIS MATTER UP. I HAVE ELECTRIC ISSUES, AIRBAG ISSUES, AND MORE SINCE I GOT THIS VEHICLE. EVERYONE TRIED TO WARN ME ABOUT BUYING A DODGE, BUT I GUESS THEY WERE RIGHT ANG I WAS WRONG. STARTED MY CAR FRIDAY MORNING AUGUST 1, 2014 AND THOSE 2 LIGHTS CAME ON AND HAVEN'T WENT OUT, CALLED A DODGE DEALER AND WAS TOLD IT WAS NOT A RECALL PROBLEM BUT I READ ON HERE THAT IT IS. *TR
WHILE I WAS DRIVING HOME MY CAR LOST ALL POWER AND THE ENGINE HAD SHUT OFF ON ME. I WAS ABLE TO SAFELY PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHERE I WAS ABLE TO GET THE BATTERY OUT AND TAKEN TO AUTOZONE WHERE THEY WERE ABLE TO PUT ENOUGH CHARGE TO THE BATTERY TO ALLOW ME TO FINISH GETTING THE CAR HOME. THE NEXT MORNING THERE WAS NO POWER TO THE BATTERY. UPON HAVING A MECHANIC LOOK AT IT HE TOLD ME THE ALTERNATOR WAS BAD. *TR
WAS DRIVING AND CAR JUST DIED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD TRY JUMP PUT A NEW BATTERY AND DIED AGAIN DO TO THE ALTERNATOR. *TR
AC, SPEEDOMETER, RADIO, ALL STOPPED WORKING. ICONS ON THE DASHBOARD KEPT FLASHING OUT OF CONTROL. THE VEHICLE BECAME DIFFICULT TO STEER, WINDSHIELD WIPERS STARTED ON THEIR OWN, WINDOWS LOCKED. THEN CAR JUST STOPPED WORKING ALL TOGETHER WHILE I WAS DRIVING. I THOUGHT MAYBE IT WAS THE BATTERY SO I ATTEMPTED TO GET A JUMP. THE VEHICLE TURNED ON WHILE IT WAS BEING "JUMPED". AS SOON AS THE CABLES CAME OFF THE STRANGE BEHAVIOR STARTED AGAIN. *TR
LEAVING WORK I NOTICED MY RADIO SUDDENLY TURNED OFF, DISPLAY SHOWED POWER SAVER MODE. I CONTACTED MY HUSBAND BY CELL PHONE AND HE ADVISED ME TO STOP DRIVING IT BECAUSE THERE HAD BEEN REPORTS OF FIRES, CRASHES AND LOSS OF CONTROL. I WAS TURNING ON TO MY STREET AND I LOST CONTROL OF STEERING, BRAKES, AND ALL POWER IN THE CAR. I WAS COASTING TO PARK AND NOTICED THAT THERE WAS SMOKE COMING OUT FROM UNDER THE HOOD. MY HUSBAND CAME DOWN TO LOOK AT THE VEHICLE AND COULD NOT TURN VEHICLE ON AT ALL. NOW, I DRIVE OUR CAR TO AND FROM WORK, A 15 MINUTE TRIP 6 DAYS A WEEK. WE REGULARLY KEEP OUR VEHICLE SERVICED. THIS CAR IS COMING ON A 2 YEAR ANNIVERSAY AND I HAVE PAID FOR A NEW BATTERY, PARTS/LABOR AND DIAGNOSTIC TEST. DEALERSHIP SAYS THAT MY CAR IS SAFE TO DRIVE BUT THE ALTERNATOR IS MAKING A NOISE AND THAT IT CAN LAST FROM 6 MONTHS TO A YEAR OR DIE A WEEK FROM NOW. HOW DRAMATIC IS THAT? CHRYSLER GAVE ME A CASE # AND ADIVSED ME THAT THEY NEEDED TO KNOW WHAT WAS WRONG WITH IT BEFORE THEY OFFERED COST ASSISTANCE. THERE IS NO AMOUNT OF MONEY THAT EITHER COMPANY CAN GIVE ME TO REPLACE THE LOSS OF A LIFE IN MY FAMILY. PLEASE KEEP US SAFE AND FIX THESE DEFECTIVE VEHICLES OFF OF THE ROAD TO PREVENT EVEN MORE UNNECESSARY COLLISIONS. *JS
ON JULY 21, 2014 WHILE DRIVING ON A TWO- WAY STREET, SEVERAL OF MY DASHBOARD LIGHTS FLICKERED AND WIPERS CAME ON AND OFF WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50MPH. I KEPT DRIVING WHEN GRADUALLY MY CAR BEGAN TO LOSE POWER, THE DASH BOARD NOTIFIED ME THAT IT WAS GOING INTO POWER SAVER MODE. LESS THAN A MINUTE OR TWO LATER, MY POWER STEERING WAS GONE. THE CAR STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC AS I WAS MAKING A TURN HOPING TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT. THE VEHICLE WOULDN'??T START AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO JUMP IT. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY GAVE ME THE NUMBER TO A TOW TRUCK COMPANY. ON JULY 22, A SERVICE ADVISOR CALLED TO INFORM ME THAT THE ALTERNATOR WAS BAD AND I ALSO NEEDED A NEW BATTERY DUE TO THE BAD ALTERNATOR. I TOLD HIM I HAD WARRANTY ON THE VEHICLE. HE TOLD ME I HAD 5 YEAR POWERTRAIN WARRANTY FOR 5YRS/100,000MILES AND ELECTRICAL IS 3YRS/36,000MILES. AT THIS TIME I HAD 54,139MILES. IT COST ME $1,056.15 TO HAVE THE DEALER INSTALL A NEW ALTERNATOR, BATTERY, AND TOWING FEES. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED VIA RECALL. THE VEHICLE ISN'T OLD ENOUGH TO HAVE ALTERNATOR ISSUES. ONLY 2 YEARS THIS DEFINITELY REQUIRES A RECALL. *TR
WAS CRUISING AT 50MPH WHEN ALL ELECTRICS DIED.. WOULD NOT RESTART. DODGE OFFICIAL GARAGE HAS TOLD ME ALTERNATOR AND BATTERY FAILURE. THEY WANT TO BILL ME BUT I SEE THERE IS AN INVESTIGATION ALREADY UNDERWAY REGARDING THIS
I WAS DRIVING INTO A MARTIN'S GROCERY STORE PARKING LOT WHEN I NOTICED THE ENGINE HIGH TEMPERATURE LIGHT ILLUMINATED,I IMMEDIATELY PARKED VEHICLE AND TURNED THE ENGINE OFF.I THEN NOTICED STEAM ESCAPING FROM UNDERNEATH HOOD,I GOT OUT AND AWAY FROM THE CAR,AND I IMMEDIATELY CALLED CROSSROAD DODGE DEALERSHIP SRVUCE DEPARTMENT IN PRINCE GEORGE, VA.I TALKED WITH A MALE SERVICE TECHNICIAN ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED AND HE REPLIED",LET ENGINE COOL FOR 1 HOUR BEFORE DRIVING IT TO DEALERSHIP,I WAITED 1 HOUR AND THEN DROVE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. *TR
CUSTOMER STATED 2012 DODGE CHARGER , CAR WILL NOT START. COULD NOT GET CORRECT MILAGE TEST STARTING. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. *BF UPDATED 10/20/2015*JS
ONE OF MY LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS HAS BEEN OUT FOR TWO WEEKS. I SET UP A SERVICE APPOINTMENT WITH LOCAL DEALER OVER A MONTH AGO WHEN I INITIALLY RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTICE. I CALLED BACK AND ASKED THEM TO EXPEDITE MY APPOINTMENT, BUT WAS TOLD THEY ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO ORDER 1 REPAIR KIT PER WEEK SO IT WILL STILL BE A WHILE BEFORE THEY ARE ABLE TO GET TO MY CAR. I CALLED CHRYSLER AND WAS TOLD THEY CAN'T EXPEDITE ORDERS FOR PARTS INVOLVED IN RECALLS. THIS MAKES NO SENSE, IF THERE ARE SAFETY ISSUES THOSE PARTS SHOULD BE SENT OUT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. *TR
FIRST,I RECEIVED WARNING FOR "BATTERY SAVER MODE" ON DASHBOARD. LATER IN THE DAY, I TOOK CAR TO DEALERSHIP FOR A SERVICE VISIT AND THE CAR SHUT DOWN RIGHT THERE. ALL LIGHTS WENT CRAZY AND CAR PUT ITSELF IN NEUTRAL VERY VIOLENTLY. I AM AFRAID OF THIS CAR AND WHAT IT MAY DO IF THIS WERE TO HAPPEN AT A HIGHER SPEED. ONCE THE CAR TOOK OVER CONTROL, I COULD NOT SHUT IT OFF, PUT IT IN GEAR, OR ANYTHING ELSE FOR THAT MATTER. DEALER SAYS ITS SIMPLY A BAD BATTERY AND I AM VERY LEERY OF THE DEALER'S DIAGNOSIS AT THIS POINT. *TR
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT 15MPH AND THE TPMS LIGHT AND TRACTION LIGHT FLASHED ON THE DASH AND THAN I STARTED SMELLING SMOKE AND HEARING A LOUD HIGH PITCHED NOISE, CAR STOPPED IN MIDDLE OF ROAD CREATING A HAZARD, I GOT OUT QUICKLY AND POPPED THE HOOD AND SMOKE FLEW OUT OF THE ALTERNATOR AREA. TOOK CAR IN AND DODGE IS TRYING TO CHARGE 790.00 TO FIX THIS VERY COMMON ISSUE ON THE 3.6 2012 DODGE CHARGER SE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE CHARGER. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ILLUMINATED INTERMITTENTLY. WHILE IN REVERSE, THE VEHICLE JERKED AND BECAME DIFFICULT TO OPERATE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE BATTERY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,000.
MY HEADLIGHTS BURNED OUT OVER A MONTH AGO. I ASKED THE DEALER TO REPAIR BUT THEY SAID I WOULD HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET. I REPAIRED THEM AT MY EXPENSE THEN RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR THE WIRING HARNESS TWO DAYS LATER. I AGAIN CONTACTED THE DEALER AND ASKED THEM TO REPAIR THE WIRING HARNESS SINCE IT WAS COVERED UNDER THE RECALL. I WAS TOLD THAT CHRYSLER HAS NOT MADE THE PARTS AND NO DEALERSHIP HAS THEM. MY NAME WAS PUT ON A CALLING LIST SO THAT I COULD GET THE NEXT AVAILABLE PART. IN THE MEAN TIME, I AM A SINGLE MOM AND I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO EITHER GET A RENTAL CAR OR DRIVE AT THE RISK OF MY OWN SAFETY RATHER THAN MISS WORK. I AGAIN CALLED THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN A MONTH AND I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CALL THAT THE PART WAS READY. I WAS TOLD THAT THE PART WAS STILL NOT READY AND THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. I WAS REFERRED TO CHRYSLER'S "CUSTOMER SERVICE" WHERE I WAS TOLD TO FILE A COMPLAINT UNDER THE LEMON LAW THROUGH THE BOOKLET IN MY OWNERS MANUAL PACKET. THE BOOKLET HAD NO INFORMATION ON THE LEMON LAW FOR MY STATE BUT LISTED MOST OF THE OTHER STATES. I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT MY PASSENGER SIDE HEADLIGHT FOR OVER A MONTH NOW AND HAVE REPLACED THE LIGHT 3 TIMES, ONCE THROUGH THE DEALER BUT THEY BURN OUT WITHIN A SINGLE NIGHT. *TR

THE CONTACT WAS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 13V118000 (AIR BAGS). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED OR DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE CHARGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SENSOR HAD ILLUMINATED FOR THE TRACTION CONTROL AND BATTERY SAVER MODE INTERMITTENTLY. THE CONTACT EXPERIENCED THE VEHICLE SHUTTING OFF AND GOING INTO BATTERY SAFE MODE REPEATEDLY. THE CONTACT HAD TO RECHARGE THE BATTERY TO GET THE VEHICLE TO RESTART ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE RADIO HAD SHUT OFF EACH TIME THE VEHICLE WENT INTO BATTERY SAFE MODE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR AND THE BATTERY. THE FAILURE RECURRED WITH THE BATTERY SAFE MODE SENSOR AND TRACTION CONTROL SENSOR ILLUMINATING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ALTERNATOR WAS NOT CHARGING WHICH MAY INDICATE IT WAS FAULTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, I SMELLED SOMETHING BURNING. MY BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR SHUT DOWN. I HAD IT TOWED TO THE CLOSEST DODGE DEALER. THE DEALERSHIP HAS REPORTED THAT MY ALTERNATOR, SERP BELT & TENSIONER NEED TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF $876!!!!! WITH ALL THE OTHER COMPLAINTS THAT ARE VERY SIMILAR TO MINE, I FEEL A RECALL IS IN ORDER!!!....UPDATED 07/23/14 *BF

TL * THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE CHARGER. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE CONTACT REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE OTHER MOTORIST LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, STRUCK THE FRONT END OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE, AND BECAME AIRBORNE UNTIL IT CRASHED INTO AN EMBANKMENT. THE SEAT BELT FAILED TO RESTRAIN THE CONTACT AND THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUFFERED INJURIES TO THE FACE, NECK, AND BACK. THE REAR SEAT BELT ALSO FAILED TO RESTRAIN THE PASSENGER. AS A RESULT, NECK AND BACK INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S INSURANCE COMPANY FOR FURTHER INSPECTION. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE SEAT BELT AND AIR BAG FAILURES WERE NOT CAUSED BY A MANUFACTURER DEFECT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,837.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE CHARGER. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ALTERNATOR NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS SCHEDULED TO BE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,650.
WE WERE DRIVING AND THE ABS AND SKID LIGHTS ILLUMINATED ON THE DASH, ALL THE FUNCTION LIGHTS ILLUMINATED THE STEERING COLUMN LOCKED AND THE CAR JUST HALTED AND STALLED. EVERYTHING WAS DEAD, UNABLE TO START AND THE WIPERS WERE GOING. THE WIPERS WERE NEVER TURNED ON BUT KEPT RUNNING DESPITE THE CAR BEING "DEAD" WIPERS IN OFF POSITION . TOWED HOME AND THEN TO DEALERSHIP (DEALERSHIP HAS NO OFF HOUR GATE ACCESS) TOLD (2) DAYS LATER THE BATTERY WAS DEAD ON A 2 YR OLD VEHICLE, THEN I RECEIVED A SECOND CALL STATING THE ALTERNATOR WAS THE CULPRIT. THE ALTERNATOR NEEDS REPLACEMENT, AND NO ONE CAN EXPLAIN THE RHYME OR REASON WHY IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED ON A 2YR OLD VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE ALSO HAS AUTOMATIC PUSH START AND WILL NOT WORK SOMETIMES UNLESS THE REMOTELESS KEY IS PRESSED TO START THE VEHICLE ON THE START-BUTTON (INSTEAD OF PRESSING WITH FINGER, USE THE REMOTE LESS ENTRY- I WAS TOLD THIS RESETS THE READING- HAVING TO DO THIS ONCE/TWICE A MONTH). *JS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE CHARGER. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A NOTIFICATION FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V101000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING). HOWEVER, THE PART NEEDED TO DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
TL * THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 DODGE CHARGER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESTART AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS AND WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE DEALER REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. MY HEADLIGHT HARNESS CONNECTOR WAS NEVER REPAIRED,I NEVER GOT THE PAPER FOR IT
PARKED AUTO ON GRAVEL PARKING LOT. THE DRIVE SELECT DID GO INTO THE PARK POSITION UPON SHUT-DOWN AND THE ENGINE DID NOT TURN OFF WHEN THE IGNITION BUTTON WAS DEPRESSED. NO ENGINE SOUND APPARENT DUE LOW RPM AND GOOD SOUND SUPPRESSION MATERIAL. MY CAR PUT "ITSELF" IN NEURTAL AS I WAS CROSSING THE TRAFFIC. THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. THANK GOD AFTER PLAYING WITH IT I WAS ABLE TO GET IT INTO DRIVE AND THE CAR STARTED SHAKING AND BARELY DRIVING. I PULLED IT INTO A PARKING SPACE AT 711. I WAS UNABLE TO TURN IT OFF FOR 30 MINUTES. IT STARTED MAKING LOUD NOISES UNDER THE HOOD LIKE IT WAS GOING TO BLOW UP AND ALL THE HANDS ON MY SPEEDOMETER, ETC WERE GOING BACK AND FORTH LIKE CRAZY AND EVERY LIGHT IN MY DASH WAS ON. I WAS DRIVING AND THE HEADLIGHT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE QUIT WORKING. I STOPPED AND CHECKED IT OUT AND THE LIGHT WOULD COME ON IF I TOUCHED THE CONNECTOR. FIRESTONE REPLACED THE BULB. THE BULB WAS INTERMITTENT. IF YOU TOUCHED THE CONNECTOR IT WOULD WORK. ULTIMATELY, THE CONNECTOR CAUGHT FIRE AND MELTED OFF. I FOUND THAT THERE WAS A RECALL, BUT MY VIN WAS NOT COVERED IN THE RECALL. ON MARCH 4, 2014, MY CAR SHUT COMPLETELY DOWN WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE. THE MESSAGE ON THE DASH BOARD SAID "ABS" AND THE TRACTION LIGHTS CAME ON AND TURNED MY CAR OFF. I HAD TO PAY 807.84 OUT OF POCKET FOR A NEW ALTERNATOR.ON DECEMBER 1,2014 I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR THE ALTERNATORS IN THE DODGE CHARGER WHICH I CURRENTLY HAVE. I PURCHASED THIS CAR JULY OF 2012. I'VE ALREADY SPENT OVER 2,000 OUT OF POCKET IN REPAIRS FOR A NEW MODEL 2012 CAR. THE DEALERSHIP I RECEIVED THE CAR FROM IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I NOW REGRET EVER GETTING A DODGE CHARGER FROM [XXX] USURY(WHEN I PURCHASED) (CURRENT NAME). THE SALESMAN/SERVICE TEAM MAKE A MOCKERY OUT OF ME BRINGING MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET REPAIRS EVERY 3 TO 6 MONTHS. INSTEAD OF TELLING ME THAT IT WOULD BE A FEE OF 143.00 BEFORE TAKING MY CAR INTO THE SERVICE SHOP THAT DID NOT TAKE PLACE. I NEVER SIGNED ANYTHING STATING A FEE WOULD BE CHARGED TO ME TO TELL ME WHY THE LIGHT WAS ON IN MY CAR. NOW I NEED A NEW THERMOSTAT AND A COOLANT FLUSH WHICH THEY QUOTED A PRICE OF AN ADDITIONAL 400.00. AFTER THE HELL I HAVE EXPERIENCED AT THIS DEALERSHIP I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. THE CAR HAS SHOWN VARIOUS ELECTRICAL ISSUE AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS (0-70MPH) SINCE THE FIRST FAILURE TO START (ABS LIGHT ON /OFF, AIRBAG LIGHT ON /OFF, STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT ON/OFF, RADIO/HVAC SCREEN NOT WORKING). CAR HAS BEEN TAKEN TO DODGE DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES WITH NO CONFIRMED CAUSE AND NO EFFECTIVE REPAIR. CAR WOULD NOT START THIS MORNING (5-13-2015) , AMBIENT AIR TEMP APPROXIMATELY 55 DEGREES FARENHEIT. ON 2/11/2014 MY VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED AND THE HARNESS WAS FOUND TO BE DEFECTIVE, HOWEVER I WAS INFORMED THAT MY VEHICLE VIN NUMBER IS NOT A PART OF THE NHTSA RECALL # 13V118000. I PUT THE PLATE IN THE MICROWAVE AND HEARD THE HORN BLOW, LIKE THE ALARM WENT OFF, ON MY CAR. I WENT TO THE DOOR TO DISCOVER THAT THERE WERE FLAMES INSIDE THE CAR. I CALLED 911 WHILE MY HUSBAND RAN OUT TO TRY AND EXTINGUISH THE FIRE, WHICH HE MANAGED TO DO BEFORE THE FIRE DEPT ARRIVED. I REPORTED THE INCIDENT TO CHRYSLER, WHO REPORTED BACK TO ME THAT THEY ARE DENYING IT IS A MECHANICAL ISSUE. THE FIRE INVESTIGATOR FOR METLIFE REPORTS THAT HIS FINDINGS SHOW THERE WAS A SHORT UNDER THE PASSENGER SEAT WHICH JUST SMOLDERED UNTIL A SPARK IGNITED SOME PAPERS IN THE FLOORBOARD. A FEW DAYS BEFORE THIS HAPPENED, I STARTED TO WORK AND THE CONTROL PANEL ON MY CAR HAD COMPLETELY LOCKED UP. I HAD TO STOP AND RESTART MY CAR MORE THAN ONCE BEFORE THE PANEL UNFROZE. THE ONLY OTHER PROBLEM I HAD PRIOR TO THIS INCIDENT WAS THAT A MESSAGE STARTED SHOWING UP THAT THE KEY WAS NOT DETECTED WHILE I WAS IN THE CAR.
