No warning lights. Loses power, shuts down when traveling. Must pull over, come to a complete stop, put vehicle in park, wait 2-3 minutes sometime longer before it will start back up, Has been occurring for at least 6`months now. Repair shop/dealer unable to confirm due to the fact that it doesn't occur when test driven!!
Kept smelling gas after filling up and off and on . Did a fill up and gas was so strong had to call a tow truck. Dealership said fuel pump assembly connector had high resistance causing the top of the fuel pump to melt.
Chrysler/|Dodge 300's/Charger have a known issue with door panel warping because of material or design defect. A judged rule 08/26/21 that there is an expressed warranty and that they should be repaired outside of the manufacture's warranty, which is when the defect shows up. I have tried both the dealership and customer care Auburn Hills, Michigan to no avail. I am stuck with making the very costly repair myself on a vehicle that I can't sell for what should be its value without the defect showing. I am a disable veteran and a senior so neither of those prospect are appealing. What can I do to get the dealer to fix the defect in light of the judge's ruling or other consumer protection laws? I need to get a replacement vehicle and can't get a reasonable return on this investment with the defect. Please help me.
The contact owns a 2016 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that the passenger’s side front door and driver’s side rear door panels started to detach from the body of the vehicle. The manufacturer had been notified of the failure and informed the contact that there were no recalls on the vehicle. The manufacturer referred her to the NHTSA for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.
One of the pins on the fuel pump & associated harness got hot enough to melt a hole in the top of the fuel pump causing it to leak gas.
The contact owns a 2016 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for an oil change and when the mechanic inspected the vehicle, he noticed that the universal driveshaft was corroded and needed to be replaced. The mechanic referred the contact to the manufacturer to see if the VIN was under recall. The contact notified the manufacturer of the issue and was informed that there was no recall on the vehicle. The manufacturer stated that the vehicle would be repaired under warranty. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer who replaced the driveshaft on the vehicle. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 54,000. The VIN was not available.
The seatbelt is clicked in the seatbelt light goes off and the the service airbag system light comes on.
both of my front door panels and dash are peeling away. Took vehicle to Redland's Dodge and was told there was nothing they could do. We were instructed to contact Dodge directly. Dodge corporate declined the claim, stating it was not manufacturer defect. I have noticed others Dodge owners with similar complaints.
The contact's son owns a 2016 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that the front passenger’s side door and panel detached from the door frame. The contact also stated that the front passenger’s side door was unable to lock due to the failure. The local dealer was contacted and made aware of the failure. Tim Short Superstore (250 Cassidy Blvd, Pikeville, KY 41501:(606) 432-1716) was also contacted and made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 28,000.
Door panel is separating from the door and window on the passenger side
Not sure of how to report, but own a 2016 Charger. My panels are coming off of doors. Of course no longer under warranty, but Dodge will not fix. This is my third Charger and I've never had this problem before. Very disappointing. This clearly is due to bad workmanship. Nothing I could have done to prevent this!!! DODGE SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FIR THEIR SHABBY WORKMANSHIP!!!!!
3 of my 20” wheels cracked at different times. It causes my tires to go flat.
THE ENTIRE DRIVESHAFT OF THE VEHICLE BECOME EXTREMELY LOOSE. THE ENTIRE DRIVESHAFT HAD TO BE REPLACED AS IT WAS COMPLETELY UNSAFE TO DRIVE WITH THE SHAFT BEING AS LOOSE AS IT WAS. I WAS INFORMED IF THE DRIVESHAFT SEPARATED WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, IT COULD VERY LIKELY LEAD TO LOSS OF CONTROL AND BE FATAL.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000.
The interior door panels on both front doors of my 2016 Dodge Charger SXT have warped and pulled away from the frame near the window area. The defect appears to be heat-related, and the panels have progressively worsened over time. This issue has not only affected the cosmetic integrity of the vehicle, but it also poses a safety risk by potentially interfering with side airbag deployment or window functionality. I believe this could compromise occupant safety in the event of a side-impact collision. The issue is visible and can be inspected upon request. The problem has not been officially confirmed by a Dodge dealer, but it is widely documented online and the subject of an active class action lawsuit [XXX] et al. v. FCA US LLC). I reported this defect to CarComplaints.com over three years ago and have seen other owners report identical issues with Chargers from similar model years. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or an insurance representative. There were no warning lights or messages related to this issue. The defect gradually became visible approximately two years after I purchased the vehicle. To date, no resolution or support has been provided by Dodge or FCA despite the known and recurring nature of this problem. AS I WAS CONDUCTING MAINTENANCE ON MY VEHICLE, I HAD SEEN THAT MY VEHICLE'S DRIVE SHAFT IS NOT STABLE AND WHEN I MOVED IT, THE SHAFT WAS ABLE TO MOVE FREELY, AND THE CENTER SUPPORT BEARING WAS WORN DOWN COMPLETELY AND THIS IS THE REASON WHY MY VEHICLE IS NOT FUNCTIONING THE WAY IT SHOULD.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND A CASE WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE HAD YET TO BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 21,000.
BACK UP CAMERA STILL SHOWS REAR VIEW EVEN AFTER CHANGING OUT OF REVERSE. ALSO THE DOOR PANEL GLUE HAS FAILED AS WELL AS THE GLUE ON THE PANEL AROUND THE GEAR CONTROL.
WHILE DRIVING STEERING COLUMN BECAME VERY TIGHT ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO TURN WITH AN INDICATOR STATING POWER STEERING ASSIST OFF. SERVICE SYSTEM. I WAS DRIVING ON A CITY STREET.
Driver Seat will automatically move forward or back during the car actively moving. Moving all the way forward and extending back where unable to reach pedals. Extremely dangerous potentially causing and accident, with serious leg injuries. The emergency break will automatically occur with no vehicles/obstructions that would set off the alert, on the highway , potentially being rear ended. The problems have been occurring approximately 1 yr

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO SAN LEANDRO CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (1444 MARINA BLVD, SAN LEANDRO, CA 94577) WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 23,000.
CAR STARTING TO MAKE A STRANGE RATTLING NOISE - TOOK IT TO SHOP WAS TOLD DRIVE SHAFT IS COMING APART CAR ONLY HAS 74,000 MILES. WAS ALSO TOLD REAR SHOCKS ARE BAD, REAR BRAKES PADS ARE VERY LOW AND REAR STABLIZER BAR (SUSPENSION COMPONENTS) HAVE ROTTED OUT BUSHINGS. A YEAR AGO THE CAR DOORS STARTED TO FALL APART BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER DOORS.
MOTOR MOUNT BLOWS OUT DUE TO IT BEING FILLED WITH HYDRAULIC FLUID CAUSING ISSUES WITH STEERING AND BRAKING. THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING THE CAR CAUSING IT TO MOVE AROUND WHILE DRIVING ANY SPEED WAS ON THE FREEWAY WHEN IT HAPPENED.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY WHEN MY TRUNK FLEW OPEN CAUSING MY CAR TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP BEFORE I COULD GET ONTO THE SHOULDER AND THIS SCENERIO ALMOST CAUSED ME TO GET INTO A WRECK. I HAD MY CHILDREN IN THE CAR AND THEY WERE VERY SCARED! ITS RIDICULOUS THAT IT JUST SHUTS OFF BEFORE EVEN GIVING A WARNING!

DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE DOOR PANELS ARE WARPED AND DETACHING FROM THE TOP OF THE PANEL WHERE PANEL MEETS THE WINDOW. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN INTO DEALERSHIP FOR ASSISTANCE AND PANEL COULD NOT BE FIXED. TECHNICIANS NOTIFED ME THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH THE 2016 MODEL AND TO REPLACED EACH DOOR PANEL WOOD BE $700 PER PANEL PLUS LABOR COST. CURRENT FORUMS DISCUSS SAME ISSUE . THIS IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT!

THIS CAR HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS AND A NIGHTMARE. WHILE DRIVING AROUND 30 AND OVER THE CAR JERKS AND SHIFTS WHEN I AM COMING TO A STOP AND OR PRESSING ON GAS TO INCREASE SPEED. I HAD SOME SIMILAR ISSUES IN 2019 AND REPORTED THEM TO THE DEALERSHIP WESTHERR ORCHARD PARK. WESTHERR CLAIMS IT WAS ISSUES WITH THE DRIVE SHAFTS, GASKET, ENGINE OIL FILTER ADAPTOR HOUSING, DRIVETRAIN CONTROL MODULE AND AXLES. MOST OF ALL OF THESE REPAIRS HAVE BEEN DONE BY THEM AND WHERE NOT FIXED CORRECTLY AND WITH DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS AND PARTS.

THE BATTERY KEEPS GOING DEAD WITHOUT A TRANSMISSION ISSUE.
I ONLY HAVE THREE YEARS WITH THE CAR AND THE AC NO LONGER WORKS IN THE PASSENGER SIDE. *TR
ONE DAY WHEN I WAS DRIVING, I HEARD A REALLY LOUD SOUND COMING FROM MY CAR THAT HURT MY EARS SO I DROVE BACK HOME UNDER 5 MILES PER HOUR BECAUSE WHATEVER WAS HITTING UNDER THE HOOD OF MY CAR WAS WAY TOO LOUD. AS I WAS PARKING IN MY SPOT AT HOME, MY CAR SHUT OFF COMPLETELY. COULDN'T EVEN PUT IT IN PARK AND SAID TO CHECK ENGINE. I ENDED UP HAVING TO GET MY CAR TOWED TO LITHIA OF DODGE TO LOOK AT IT TO SEE WHATS WRONG BECAUSE I COULDNT EVEN TURN MY CAR BACK ON AT ALL OR DO ANYTHING WITH IT IT WAS UNDRIVEABLE. I WAS TOLD THE DRIVESHAFT BROKE AND SLAMMED AGAINST THE ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, ANYTHING BASICALLY CONNECTED TO THE DRIVESHAFT WAS DAMAGED. THEY DIDN'T TOTAL IT OUT AND TOLD ME TO CALL MY INSURANCE BUT THEN THEY SENT ME ELSEWHERE TOO AND FOR 6 MONTHS I COULD NOT GET ANYTHING WORKED OUT. COME TO FIND OUT, THERE WAS A SAFETY RECALL ON 2016 DODGE CHARGERS FOR ONE OF THE REASONS BEING THE DRIVESHAFT NOT BEING TIGHTENED ENOUGH WHEN MADE OR SOMETHING THAT IT BROKE AND COULD POTENTIALLY LEAD TO AN ACCIDENT THAT COULD CAUSE INJURIES! I AM LUCKY THAT I DID NOT GET IN AN ACCIDENT OR HURT BECAUSE IT HAPPENED WHEN I WAS DRIVING. IT SAID THAT THE RECALL WAS COMPLETED BUT OF IT WAS, IT SHOULDNT HAVE BROKE ON MY CAR. I STOPPED PAYING MY LOAN AND EVERYTHING BECAUSE NO ONE WAS TOTALLING IT OUT OR SENDING ME TO SOMEONE WHO COULD HELP SO NOW MY CAR IS REPOSSESSED AND SAYS I STILL OWE ON IT WHICH I FEEL IS WRONG AND I SHOULDNT HAVE THE REPOSSESSION OR BE HAVING TO PAY ANYTHING ON IT.

I PURCHASED 2016 DODGE CHARGER ONE MONTH AGO FROM CALIFORNIA AUTO DIRECT IN MONTCLAIR. WHILE SIGNING THE PAPERWORK, WE QUESTIONED A $1,000 DEALER CHARGE WHICH THEY EXPLAINED WAS FOR A THOROUGH INSPECTION BEFORE PUTTING THEIR CAR ON THE LOT TO SELL (ALL LIES). SINCE I PURCHASED THE CAR ON 3/7/20, THE CAR HAS STALLED ON ME WHILE DRIVING 3 TIMES. I TOOK THE CAR TO A "DODGE" DEALER AND THEY FIXED A RECALL, OIL LEAK AND REPLACED A MISSING CALIPER, OLD BATTERY. AFTER COMPLETING ALL THE REPAIRS, THE CAR STALLED ON ME AGAIN. EACH TIME THE STEERING AND BRAKES LOCKED UP. THE DEALERSHIP FOUND NO CODES AS TO WHY THE CAR JUST STOPS WHILE DRIVING. THIS CAR IS A SAFETY HAZARD. I CONTACTED DODGE.COM ONLINE CHAT AND THEY TOLD ME TO LET THE DEALER TRY AND WORK ON IT AND USE THEIR RESOURCES. UNFORTUNATELY, THEY CAN'T FIND ANYTHING. I READ ABOUT RECALLS ON OTHER DODGE CHARGERS AND CHALLENGERS THAT HAD SIMILAR PROBLEMS, UNFORTUNATELY NOT M YEAR... 2016.
DOOR PANEL ARE PEELING ON ALL DOORS OR LIFTING UP ALONG THE WINDOWS
I WAS HEADED TO WORK YESTERDAY MORNING AND BEFORE I GOT TO WORK I HEARD A LOUD NOICE UNDER THE HOOD AND SMOKE STARTING ROLLING OUT OF UNDER THE HOOD. I PULLED OVER TO THE CLOSEST INTERSECTION TO GET OFF HIGHWAY AND DISCOVERED OIL ALL OVER THE CAR AND ALL UNDER THE CAR. I CONTACTED MY DEALERSHIP THAT I JUST BOUGHT THE CAR THROUGH (HAVEN'T EVEN MADE THE FIRST PAYMENT) AND THEY TOWED IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. FURTHER INSPECTION THEY SAID THE DESIGN OF THE CAR HOW IT PULLS AIR THROUGH THE FENDER IT SUCKED WATER UP FROM DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND HYDRO LOCKED THE MOTOR. I DO ZERO FIRST ROADS ON MY VEHICLES SO IT'S DEFINITELY NOT RIGHT FOR THIS TO HAPPEN DRIVING DOWN A HIGHWAY AND THROW A ROD THROUGH THE MOTOR. MY EXTENDED WARRANTY WON'T COVER IT NOR WILL MY INSURANCE. IT'S A BRAND NEW CAR. I NEED HELP!!
I HAD TO REPLACE MY STARTER THAT WENT OUT 12/24/17, MY CAR WAS IN MY DRIVEWAY. I USED FRED MARTIN TO DO THE REPAIR. SUMMER OF JUNE 2019, MY CAR WAS IN MY DRIVEWAY. I HAD TO REPLACE THE STARTER AGAIN. I BOUGHT THE STARETERFROM AUTO ZONE, A STARTER FOR A 2016 DODGE CHARGER R/T. UPON REPLACING THE STARTER WITH THE NEW STARTER WE REALIZED THAT IT WOULD NOT FIT AND THERE WAS ANOTHER STARTER ON THE VEHICLE THAT WAS NOT A R/T STARTER (WHICH FRED MARTIN HAD PUT ON). THIS PAST SUNDAY (3/15/20), MY STARTER HAS WENT OUT ONCE AGAIN, IN MY PARKING LOT, SOMETHING ISN'T RIGHT FOR A STARTER TO KEEP GOING OUT WITHOUT ANY CLUE. PLEASE HELP ME IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE BATTERY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED PRIOR TO A DIAGNOSTIC TEST BEING PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,500. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
MY GAS PRY JUST TAKES OFF AND I CAN'T STOP IT

THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED AS OF YET. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 49,000.
I HAVE BEEN SMELLING A STRONG GAS ODOR WHILE DRIVING ON THE ROAD ESPECIALLY WHEN THE TANK IS FULL. TODAY WHILE PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY I NOTICED A PUDDLE OF GAS UNDER THE CAR TOO. THE PUDDLE WAS UNDER THE LEFT REAR SEAT. AFTER SOME RESEARCH I FOUND A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE CARS SEEMS TO BE THE FUEL PUMP UNDER THE REAR SEAT (WHERE MY 6 AND 7 YEAR OLD KIDS SIT). I PULLED UP THE REAR SEAT AND FOUND THE PUMP IS LEAKING THROUGH THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR AND LARGE AMOUNT OF GAS IS POOLED ON TOP OF THE PUMP!! I USED DOZENS OF PAPER TOWELS TO SOAK IT UP AND IT JUST KEPT COMING OUT. THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR IS ALSO BROWN/BURNED NEAR A COUPLE OF THE PROBES INDICATING THE GAS IS CAUSING A SHORT WITHIN THE PLUG!! I UNPLUGGED THE CONNECTOR AND FOUND THAT THE GAS IS ACTUALLY SPEWING OUT FROM INSIDE THE CONNECTOR ON THE PUMP, WHERE THE PRONGS ARE. RESEARCHING ONLINE I SEE MULTIPLE OF THE SAME COMPLAINTS THAT THE PLASTIC TOP OF THE PUMP CRACKS, AND THERE IS EVEN A WEBSITE THAT SELLS A METAL COVER TO HELP PROTECT THE FUEL PUMP COVER! I SEE MULTIPLE PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS VERY DANGEROUS CONDITION IN CHRYSLER VEHICLES AND YET NOTHING IS BEING DONE ABOUT IT. THE MORE RESEARCH I'M DOING ONLINE THE MORE REPORTS I AM FINDING REGARDING FIRES OCCURRING IN MINOR COLLISIONS THAT SHOULD NOT END THAT WAY. INCLUDING A REPORT OF 4 PASSENGERS BURNED TO DEATH, AND SOME VEHICLES THAT COMBUSTED AFTER BEING PARKED. THIS IS BARELY A 4 YEAR OLD VEHICLE AND NO WAY SHOULD A FUEL PUMP HOUSING BE BRITTLE AND CRACKED LIKE THIS ALREADY. PHOTOS ARE ATTACHED.

THE VEHICLE IS INDICATING THAT THE AIRBAG SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE SERVICED. THE CAR IS 3 YEARS OLD WITH 34K MILES. THERE ARE RECALLS ON THE 2011-2015 DODGE CHARGERS FOR THE AIRBAG SYSTEM AND THE DEALERSHIP (STEALERSHIP) IS TELLING ME THAT THEY THE REPAIR IS NOT COVERED.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED BY THE SERVICE MANAGER THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT SUBJECTED TO A RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 DODGE CHARGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A FEATURE ON THE VEHICLE THAT ALLOWED HIM TO POSITION THE DRIVER'S CHAIR TO CERTAIN SETTINGS FROM DRIVER ONE TO DRIVER TWO. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS ATTEMPTING TO ENTER THE VEHICLE AND ENGAGE THIS FEATURE, HIS DAUGHTER PLACED HER HEAD IN BETWEEN THE HEAD REST AND THE REAR WINDOW. ONCE THE CONTACT OPENED THE DOOR, THE SEAT BEGAN TO AUTOMATICALLY ADJUST AND THE SPACE BETWEEN THE VEHICLE AND THE HEAD REST BEGAN TO NARROW. AS THE SEAT BEGAN TO ADJUST, THE SEAT BEGAN TO CHOKE HER NECK. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO GET TO THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR AND HIT THE MEMORY SEAT BUTTON TO CEASE THE SEAT FROM ADJUSTING. THE CONTACT'S DAUGHTER WAS NOT SERIOUSLY INJURED AND DID NOT NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE FAILURE HAD NOT OCCURRED SINCE THIS INCIDENT. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 35,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
