I WENT TO MY LOCAL DODGE DEALERSHIP ABOUT MY 2016 CHARGER HAVING IT'S WINDSHIELD AT 3 YEARS OLD DELAMINATING ALL AROUND IT. I THEN CONTACTED CUNSUMER COMPLAINTS THROUGH DODGE W6 SAID I OWN THIS 100 PERCENT. WHO HAS A WINDSHIELD DO THIS AT 3 YEARS OLD? DEFECT? I SAY YES! I HAVE OWNED 3 AND THIS IS THE ONLY ONE TO DO IT AND I BOUGHT IT NEW. PLEASE CHECK FOR FURTHER ISSUES. I CAN'T BE THE ONLY ONE.
FUEL SMELL IN CAR AND DYING AFTER FILL UP FUEL LEAKING FROM RIGHT REAR WHEEL WELL ON POLICE CHARGER FOR TOWN OF ROLAND
WHILE IN MOTION ON THE HIGHWAY, MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT KEPT POPPING ON AND OFF. MY VEHICLE STARTED TO FEEL LIKE IT WAS LOSING POWER WHENEVER I BEGAN TO ACCELERATE. IT DOES DRIVE BUT IT MAKES A VERY LOUD, UNSETTLING NOISE WHEN DRIVING. IT SOUNDS VERY LOUD EVEN WHEN I AM SITTING IN PARK. THE VEHICLE IS NORMALLY SILENT WHEN SITTING IN PARK AND DRIVING. I AM SMELLING SOMETHING VERY UNUSUAL AS WELL WHEN DRIVING. MY CAR WAS SENT TO FRISCO CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM IN FRISCO, TX A FEW DAYS AFTER THIS HAPPENED AND I WAS TOLD THAT THEY WERE RECEIVING A CODE P0430 WHICH MEANT THERE ARE ISSUES WITH MY CATALYTIC CONVERTER. I WAS TOLD THAT OVER 800,000 VEHICLES IN THE DODGE MAKE HAD BEEN RECALLED THIS YEAR DUE TO THIS SAME THING. I WAS TOLD MY CAR COULDN'T BE REPAIRED AT THE MOMENT AS THEY WERE UNSURE AS TO WHAT ACTUALLY NEEDED TO BE FIXED. I AM A SINGLE MOTHER AND I AM AFRAID THAT MY CAR IS GOING TO QUIT ON ME ANY DAY. I AM BEING TOLD THERE IS AN ACTIVE RECALL ON DODGE VEHICLES FOR THIS BUT MY PARTICULAR VEHICLE ISN'T PART OF THE RECALL. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE WHEN IT'S THE SAME THING? IN APRIL AND JULY OF THIS YEAR WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY, MY CAR BEGAN TO SHAKE EXCESSIVELY. I PULLED OVER TO SEE IF IT WOULD STOP AND IT DIDN'T SO I SLOWLY MADE MY WAY OVER TO FREEDOM CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM BY ED MORSE IN DUNCANVILLE, TX WHERE I WAS TOLD THAT MY IGNITION COILS ARE FAILING AND EVENTUALLY ALL OF THEM WILL FAIL AS THIS IS COMMON IS DODGE VEHICLES. IF THIS IS A KNOWN COMMON PROBLEM, WHY ARE THESE VEHICLES STILL BEING SOLD? WHY HASN'T THIS BEEN FIXED? I HAVE SPENT OVER $800 IN REPAIRS ON THIS CAR AND IT'S ONLY A 2016. I DID NOT EXPECT TO HAVE PROBLEMS THIS SOON ON SUCH A NEW CAR.
MY POWER STEERING WILL RANDOMLY SHUT OFF. IT HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY. IT MAKES IT VERY EASY TO LOSE CONTROL. I HAVE TO PULL OVER, TURN OFF MY CAR, WAIT 10-30 SECONDS, TURN ON MY CAR, AND HOPE IT DOESN'T DO IT AGAIN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 DODGE CHARGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INSIDE PANEL OF THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR WAS PEELING AND EXPOSING THE INTERIOR OF THE DOOR. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT IF MOISTURE ENTERED THE INSIDE OF THE DOOR, THE ABILITY TO CLOSE, LOCK, AND OPERATE THE DOOR MAY BE COMPROMISED. SPORT DURST AUTOMOTIVE (4511 DURHAM-CHAPEL HILL BLVD, DURHAM, NC 27707, (877) 262-3223) INFORMED THE CONTACT TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN TO SEE IF IT COULD BE COVERED UNDER A WARRANTY. THE DEALER CONCLUDED THAT THEY COULD NOT COVER THE VEHICLE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO CHECK WITH THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND AGREED WITH THE DEALER. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO NHTSA TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 67,000.
IN A COUPLE YEAR SPAN OF DODGE CHARGERS, THE PANELS ON THE DOORS SEPARATE FROM THE PLASTIC UNDERNEATH CAUSING IT TO LIFT UP WHERE THE WINDOW GOES INTO THE DOOR. ON MINE SPECIFICALLY IT'S THE DRIVERS SIDE PANEL AND THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE PANEL. I HAVE SEEN PICTURES ON FORUMS FOR DODGE CHARGERS WHERE IT'S ALL OF THE DOORS WITH THIS ISSUE. THIS IS CAUSED BY NO FAULT OF THE OWNER BUT CLEARLY SOMEWHERE IN THE MANUFACTURING OF THE VEHICLE EITHER PARTS OR MATERIALS WEREN'T MADE PROPERLY. THE COST TO FIX THIS ON MY OWN IS AROUND $700 PER DOOR PANEL, SO $1,400 FOR BOTH.
I HAD MY CRUISE SET TO 57, ALL WAS FINE UNTIL I STARTED DOWN A SMALL HILL, MY CAR SPED UP TO 75, I COULD NOT GET CRUISE TO TURN OFF WITH THE BUTTONS OR BREAK,, I PANICKED , AND SLAMMED MY BRAKES, AND IT FINALLY STOPED.
TAKATA RECALL. THE INTERIOR OF MY FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER DOORS ARE COMING APART FROM THE BODY OF THE DOOR. SMART DODGE IN PINE BLUFF SAID THEY HAVE SEEN IT ON A FEW OTHER DODGE CHARGERS AS WELL. IT IS A 2016 AND I HAVE ONLY HAD IT FOR A LITTLE OVER A YEAR. THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP STATED THE ONLY WAY IT CAN BE FIXED IS TO REPLACE THE INSIDE DOOR PANELS. IF THIS IS HAPPENING TO OTHER CHARGERS, SHOULD THERE NOT BE A RECALL ON THEM? THE PICTURE ATTACHED IS OF THE DRIVER SIDE. THE PASSENGER SIDE IS WORSE.
LAST YEAR I HAD THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR PANEL WARP, SEPARATING UP NEXT TO THE WINDOW. IT WAS UNDER REGULAR WARRANTY SO THE DEALER TOOK CARE OF IT. YESTERDAY 8/15/19 THE PASSENGER DOOR DID THE SAME THING AND SEPARATED AT THE WINDOW. DOING RESEARCH ON THIS, I HAVE FOUND MANY PEOPLE WITH DODGE CHARGERS, CHRYSLER 300, THAT ARE HAVING THIS SAME EXACT ISSUE. I AM NOW AT 40500 MILES AND MOST LIKELY DODGE WILL NOT TAKE CARE OF THIS EVEN UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY, WHICH MEANS A $1000 REPAIR. WITH AS MANY PEOPLE I HAVE SEEN WHILE RESEARCHING, THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE MATERIAL AND WORKMANSHIP DEFECT WHICH COULD EFFECT SAFETY, ESPECIALLY IF THE WARPING OCCURS AROUND THE DOOR LOCK AND SOMEONE NEEDS TO ESCAPE DURING AN EMERGENCY SITUATION.
TAKATA RECALL MY DRIVER SIDE DOOR WON'T OPEN THE DOOR. IT UNLOCKS AND LOCK BUT I CAN'T USE THE HANDLE TO OPEN THE DOOR. I HAVE TO HAVE SOMEONE FROM THE INSIDE EN THE DOOR.
THE INTERIOR DOOR PANELS ARE WARPING. I HAVE REPLACED ONE AND NEED TO DO THE OTHER. THE TRUNK LID HAD NO GAP BETWEEN THE BOTTOM OF THE LID AND REAR END, SO THERE WAS A CONSTANT VIBRATION CAUSING THE PAINT TO FLAKE AWAY. IF I STEP ON THE ACCELERATOR TOO HARD, THE ENGINES RPM SHOOTS UP BUT THE ENGINE GETS NO POWER AND THE REMAINS EITHER AT A STAND STILL OR WILL COAST UNTIL THE ISSUE PASSES.
The door panels on both drivers door and front passenger door have completely separated from the door exposing airbags and electrical components for windows and locks.
FRONT DOOR PANELS WARPING
INSIDE DOOR PANELING LIFTING OFF MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO LOCK/ UNLOCK. BEING TOLD THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE DODGE CHARGERS. VERY EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE
THERE IS A POPPING OR CRACKING STRUCTURAL DEFECT SOUND THAT IS COMING FROM THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR OR PILLAR BETWEEN FRONT AND REAR DOOR. THIS IS WHILE DRIVING NORMALLY NOT REALLY ON BUMPS BUT WHEN YOU ARE ON JUST A REGULAR ROAD. MORE WHEN THE ROAD IS UNEVEN OR WHEN THE BODY HAS SOME TWIST FROM UNEVEN PAVEMENT. THE FIRST RIDE WAS WITH WITH CHRISTIAN THE SERVICE ADVISOR AT LUMS DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND HEARD THE SOUND. HE MADE THE FIRST APPOINTMENT TO LOOK AT IT. 7/8/19 VEHICLE STILL UNDER FULL WARRANTY. LUMS AUTO CENTER IN WARRENTON OR, TRIED TO DO A BLIND REPAIR BY REPLACING THE SEATBELT TENSIONER. IT DID SEEM TO CALM IT DOWN BUT DID NOT WORK AND WE HAVE TAKEN IT BACK, A SECOND TIME AND THEY HAVE STATED THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE SOUND. BUT THEY DID OPEN THE DOOR AND CHECKED IT. 11/1/19 AND YET AGAIN WE ARE GOING TO TAKE IT BACK AGAIN AFTER CHRISTIAN THE SAME SERVICE ADVISOR THAT WE HAVE BEEN WORKING WITH DROVE WITH ME AND HEARD THE SOUND AGAIN. 01/3/20 NOW THE FULL WARRANTY IS OVER. THE PROBLEM COMES AND GOES AND HE STATES THAT IT WILL BE HARD TO FIND?? WE DO NOT BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE CAPABLE OF FIXING WHAT REALLY SEEMS TO BE A STRUCTURAL PROBLEM...
DOOR PANELS ARE PEELING UP WHERE THE TOP PART OF THE DOOR PANEL AND THE WINDOW MEET. I ALREADY HAD PANELS REPLACED BY DEALER WHEN THE CAR WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. THE REPLACEMENT PANELS ARE STARTING TO FAIL AS WELL. IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE CARS AS DOCUMENTED BY CAR FORUMS. PASSENGER DOOR INTERIOR TRIM IS WRAPPING AND PEELING AS WELL AS FLOOR TRIM OF THE DRIVERS SIDE NEXT TO THE AUTO SHIFT . ALWAYS MAINTAIN MY VEHICLE AND KEPT IT CLEAN AND SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENS AND I GOT TO PAY OUT OF MY POCKET TO GET IT REPAIRED .MY EXTENDED WARRANTY DOESN'T COVER IT .. THIS SHOULD BE UNDER WARRANTY FOR SURE AS THERE SHOULD NO REASON THIS SHOULD BE WARPING LIKE THIS.
THE DOOR PANELS ARE COMING OFF. IT LOOKS UGLY. THE INTEGRITY OF THE PANELS IS LIFTING APART FROM SIDE OF THE DOORS. CAR GETS USED THIS IS OCCURRING BECAUSE OF THE HEAT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 DODGE CHARGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ALL FOUR DOOR PANELS STARTED TO DETACH FROM THE DOOR FRAME. THE CONTACT HAD INITIALLY TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO JOHN ELWAY'S CLAREMONT CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (620 AUTO CENTER DR, CLAREMONT, CA 917110) WHERE SHE WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 63,089.
The door panels started to peel away from the door. My car was still under warranty at the time and the door panels were replaced by the dealership. after a year the door panels have started to peel back again. It looks like it will keep the side airbag from deploying correctly if it is ever needed. I feel it is unsafe and should be part of a recall since it seems to be a common problem with these cars.
MY CAR WAS PARKED ON A HIT AND RUN ON AUGUST OF 2018. MY CAR WAS PARKED ON A FLOOD MARCH 2019, MY CAR HAS REPAIRS COVERED BY THE INSURANCE OF $19,000 AND IT'S STILL IN THE SHOP. I HONESTLY THINK THAT MY VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE FOR ME TO DRIVE.
AS REPORTED ON AT LEAST 7 OTHER CARS, THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTION ON TOP OF THE FUEL PUMP HEATED UP SO MUCH A HOLE WAS MELTED IN THE PLASTIC ALLOWING FUEL TO ESCAPE THE TANK AND SIT IN A PUDDLE UNDER THE BACK SEAT. THE ODOR OF GAS WAS TOO STRONG TO REMAIN IN THE CAR. POLICE PATROL UNIT, NATCHEZ POLICE, #260. THIS VEHICLE WAS SERVICED BY THE CITY BARN 3/1 AND NO PROBLEM WAS DETECTED. THE PROBLEM BECAME NOTICED OVER THE WEEKEND. THE ATTACHED PICTURE SHOWS THE HEAT SCORCHING WITHIN THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTION AND THE INVASIVE HOLE AROUND THE RIGHT MOST PIN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 DODGE CHARGER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE AND FRONT PASSENGER SIDE INTERIOR DOOR PANELS WARPED AND WAS NOT SECURED TO THE DOOR FRAME. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER SUMTER DODGE (2662 BROAD ST. SUMTER SC) WHO INDICATED THAT THE INTERIOR DOOR PANELS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
WHEN RETURNING FROM A TRIP TO UPPER MICHIGAN MY WINDSHIELD WAS DIRTY SO I PRESSED THE WINDSHIELD WASHER BUTTON AND NOTHING HAPPENED SO I PRESSED IT AGAIN WITH THE SAME RESULTS, SO WE CONTINUED ON. WE WE ON A 6 LANE HIGHWAY WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL SET AT 72 MPH. WHEN APPROACHING OUR EXIT I NEEDED TO GET AROUND 2 SEMIS SO I STEPPED ON THE GAS AND THE RPM GAUGE WENT TO 5000 RPM AND THE SPEED SUDDENLY DROPPED DOWN TO ABOUT 60 MPH, I TRIED IT AGAIN AND IT DID THE SAME THING. WHEN I FINALLY GOT SAFELY OFF THE HIGHWAY I WENT DIRECTLY TO MY DEALER WHO TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO FOR ME FOR THE NEXT WEEK. WE WENT TO OUR HOME NOT KNOWING WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT. THE FOLLOWING DAY WE NEEDED TO RUN SOME ERRANDS AROUND TOWN AND THE CAR RAN PERFECT AND HAS EVER SINCE. THIS HAPPENED ON DEC. 7.2018. MY CONCERN IS WHEN WILL THIS HAPPEN AGAIN AND WILL I BE IN THE MIDDLE OF HEAVY TRAFFIC AGAIN

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO STAR DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM (5101 S 1ST ST, ABILENE, TX 79605) WHERE THEY REFERRED HIM TO THE MANUFACTURER. THE CONTACT HAD YET TO SPEAK TO THE MANUFACTURER ABOUT THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD YET TO BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 30,000.
2016 DODGE HELLCAT FRONT STRUTS REPLACED IN MAY 18 2018 NOW THE STRUTS ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM CAR ISN'T DRIVING STRAIGHT AND STRUTS ARE ON BACK ORDER SINCE SEP 22 UNTIL NOW. BOUGHT THE CAR 9/2/18 AND THE REDDING DEALERSHIP USED CAR MANAGER DAVE BIRCH AND THE OWNER STEVE ROBERTS HAVE BEEN UNPROFESSIONAL IN TALKING TO ME. WHEN I ASKED ABOUT THE STATUS ON MY CAR AND IS THIS A NORMAL SITUATION AND STANDARD PROCEDURE AFTER BUYING NOT ONE BUT TWO CARS AND TAKING A CAR IN FOR REPAIRS NOT HAVING THE CAR WITH LESS THAN 7016 MILES AND AFTER REPAIRING A SCRATCH ON THE BACK BUMPER AND HAVING TO REPLACE THE TIRES WHICH SHOULD'VE BEEN REPLACED BEFORE PUTTING THE CAR ON THE LOT, BECAUSE THE SALES AGENT AND USED CAR MANAGER HAD TO TEST THE DEPTH OF THE TIRES WHICH THEY SHOULDN'T HAD TO CHECK IF THEY WOULD'VE JUST REPLACED THE TIRES IN THE BEGINNING ALL THIS COULD'VE BEEN AVOIDED NOW THERE'S A CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD WHEN THE CARE WAS PURCHASED WINDSHIELD, THE OWNER AND USED CAR MANAGER ACTUALLY ASKED '' WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT FROM US DAVID WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT US TO DO FOR YOU '' AFTER I ASKED IS THIS A NORMAL SITUATION AND PROCEDURE. WELL AFTER THE USED CAR MANAGER WAS RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL TO ME I WAS RUDE TO HIM AND THEN WHEN I ASKED TO SPEAK TO HIM HE WAS NOT TAKING MY CALLS ANYMORE AND LETTING ALL MY MESSAGES GO TO VOICEMAIL SO WHEN THE MANAGER DECIDED TO DO THAT THAT'S WHEN I TALKED TO THE OWNER STEVE HE STARTED ACTING THE SAME WAY THEY DIDN'T WANT TO TALK TO ME AND SWITCHED ME TO GUY THE SERVICE PART MANAGER. IF THIS IS HOW DODGE DEALERSHIPS OPERATE THEN I'LL NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE FROM BUYING A CAR FROM ANY DODGE DEALERSHIP OR ANY DODGE VEHICLE FOR THAT MATTER I DON'T WORK DUE TO THE REDDING WILDFIRES BURNING DOWN MY HOUSE AND BUSINESS WHICH I OWNED A PARTY BUS COMPANY AND WILL PURSUE THIS TO THE VERY END LUCKILY FOR ME THIS IS A SMALL TOWN & THE PEOPLE OF REDDING
MY WIFE BOUGHT ME A 2016 DODGE HELLCAT LABOR DAY WEEKEND SALE, THIS WAS A PRESENT 9/1/2018 I BOUGHT THE LINCOLN 9/2/2018 SHE BOUGHT ME THE HELLCAT. WHEN MY WIFE WENT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP, THEY NEVER TOOK MY WIFE OUT TO TEST DRIVE THE CAR OR GAVE HER THE CAR FAX REPORT OR POINTED OUT ANY DEFECTS. THE DEALER ALSO TOLD MY WIFE THAT WE WERE THE SECOND OWNERS. I HAD TO BUY A CARFAX REPORT TO FIND OUT AND ARGUE WITH THE DEALERSHIP THAT I WAS THE 3RD OWNER. MY WIFE BOUGHT THE HELLCAT 9/2/2018 AND I HAD IT BACK AT THE DEALERSHIP 9/14/2018 FOR MULTIPLE ISSUES 1. RATTLING IN THE FRONT EVERY TIME DRIVE OVER A BUMP 2. THE VEHICLE WOULD PULL TO THE RIGHT. 3. A PIECE OF PAINT ON THE BACK BUMPER WHERE THE TRUNK MET THE BUMPER HAD DAMAGE. 4. TIRES WHERE BALLED ON THE INSIDE TIRE AND LESS THAN 1/32 ON THE OUTSIDE TIRE. ALL THESE ISSUES WERE A FIGHT AND SHOULD'VE NEVER BEEN QUESTIONED, THE DEALERSHIP KNEW ABOUT THESE PROBLEMS AND I STILL HAD TO FIGHT, I ENDED UP PAYING FOR 2 TIRES THE DEALERSHIP HAD MY CAR FOR 49 DAYS AT THE CROWN MOTORS OF REDDING. THE ONLY ISSUES RESOLVED WAS THE TIRES AND PAINT CHIP. THEN 11/12/18 TO 12/3/2018 THE CAR WAS BACK IN THE SHOP A SECOND TIME FOR THE SAME PROBLEM AT THE DODGE ROSEVILLE AUTO MALL TO FIX THE RATTLING PROBLEMS IN THE FRONT. IN BETWEEN THE DATES FROM 11/12 ' 12/3 THE DEALERSHIP CALLED ME UP AND SAID MY VEHICLE WAS READY. MYSELF AND THE SERVICE MANAGER TEST DROVE IT AND DISCOVERED THAT THE NOISE WAS STILL NOT FIXED. 12/3/2018 WE DROVE IT AGAIN AND THE NOISE WAS FINALLY FIXED BUT THE PULLING TO THE RIGHT STILL APPEARED TO STILL BE HAPPENING. I'M JUST DISGUSTED WITH THE WHOLE SITUATION ESPECIALLY WITH THE OWNER OF CROWN MOTORS AND I HAD A CASE WITH THE BBB THAT I WON.
THE DRIVERS SIDE HEATING VENT BLOWS COLD AIR. THE COLD AIR COMPLETELY FOGGED OVER THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDSHIELD SO YOU CAN'T SEE OUT. HAD TO BEND OVER AND LOOK OUT THE PASSENGER SIDE. DODGE HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM FAR TOO LONG, INVOLVING ALL MODELS, AND NEEDS TO MAKE A FIX. VERY DANGEROUS WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD.
WHEN I RECENTLY TRIED TO CLOSE MY SUN ROOF ON MY 2016 DODGE CHARGER RALLY, I WASNT ABLE TO DO SO. THE CAR WAS ON, I EVEN CALLED AND DID THE SYSTEM REBOOT WITH A REP BUT THAT DIDNT HELP, I TRIED TURNING THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON, NOTHING WORKED. ALSO, THE BLACK MATERIAL HAS COME UNDONE ON BOTH THE PASSENGER AND DRIVER DOOR WHICH IS LEAVING THE INDOOR PANEL EXPOSED AND NOT SEALING THE WINDOWS ON THE INSIDE OF THE CAR. THE BLACK MATERIAL IN THE MIDDLE WHERE THE AIRBAGS ARE IS ALSO COMING UNDONE. CURRENTLY WAITING ON A CALL BACK FROM THE DEALERSHIP BECAUSE ALL OF THIS JUST HAPPENED.

THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO THE MANUFACTURER FOR ASSISTANCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO THE DEALER TO HAVE THE VEHICLE INSPECTED HOWEVER, THE DEALER DECLINED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE VEHICLE INSPECTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 34,000.
FUEL LEAKS AFTER FUEL TANK IS FILLED PARKED OR DRIVING, STRONG FUEL SMELL WHILE DRIVING, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. INSPECTED VEHICLES..(THIS IS THE 3RD 2016 CHARGER IN OUR FLEET THAT HAS HAD THIS CONCERN) FOUND FUEL PUMP COVER PLATE HAS A HOLE BURNT IN IT NEXT TO AND AROUND FUEL PUMP ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR. I HAVE INCLUDED PICTURES OF TWO FUEL PUMP COVERS.. NOTE: VEHICLES HAD BETWEEN 45,000-72,000 MILES.
THE INTERIOR DOOR PANEL ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR IS SEPARATING FROM THE DOOR LEAVING A GAP BETWEEN THE WINDOW AND THE DOOR PANEL. APPARENTLY, THIS HAPPENS WHEN IT GETS HOT AND THE CHEAP FOAM ADHESIVE FCA USED EXPANDS AND CAUSES THE INTERIOR PANEL TO SEPARATE.
HEATHER MAKES NOISES WHEN BLOWING BOLTS ARE MISSING THAT HOLDS THE FRONT GRILL OR BUMPER
THE WIRING HARNESS ABOVE THE FUEL PUMP BECAME HOT ENOUGH TO MELT A HOLE IN THE TOP OF THE FUEL TANK COVER AND ALLOW FUEL TO ESCAPE OUT OF THE TANK, UNDER THE BACK SEAT, THROUGH THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTION. THE ATTACHED PICTURE IS THE BURN ON THE INSIDE THE OF TANK. DODGE IS AWARE OF THIS ENOUGH THAT WHEN THEY SELL A NEW PUMP TO REPLACE THEY SUPPLY A NEW WIRING HARNESS WHICH WE THINK MOVES THE GROUND. IN ADDITON ON THIS CAR, WHICH WE WILL CALL 261, THE FILTER ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WAS EXAMINED. A SENSOR CONNECTION IN THE SIDE OF THE FILTER SHOWS SIGNS OF HEAT. THIS IS THE SIXTH CAR THIS FUEL PUMP PIN HOLE MELT HAS OCCURED ON, FROM 2012 TO 2016 MODELS. *TT
I DRIVEN MY CAR AND PARKED IT FOR A FEW HOURS AND WHEN I RETURNED THE TIRE INDICATOR SAID THE TIRE WAS AT 0. PASSENGER SIDE FRONT TIRE READS 0 TIRE PRESSURE EVEN WHEN THE TIRE IS INFLATED AT OR ABOVE 32 PSI. IT CONTINUES TO READ TIRE PRESSURE LOW INFLATE TO 32 PSI.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 17,571.
I BOUGHT THE CAR 2 1/2 YEARS AGO. MY DRIVER AND PASSENGER DOORS WERE FINE AND WEREN'T WARPED. A 1,000 MILES AFTER MY DOOR PANELS AND MY CENTER CONSEL UNDER DASH IS WARPED ALSO. LOSS OF POWER STEERING, DASH CLUSTER LIGHTS FLASHING UNCONTROLLABLY, DASH CLUSTER INDICATED ENGINE RPM FLUCTUATING WILDLY WHILE IN MOTION AND WHILE STATIONARY AND WHILE TURNING. TRANSMISSION OR GEAR SHIFTER MADE CONTINUOUS OR ODD CLICKING WHILE IN MOTION AND WHILE STATIONARY EVEN AFTER VEHICLE WAS PLACE IN PARK. TROUBLE TURNING THE VEHICLE BACK ON AFTER ABOVE ISSUES OCCURRED HAD TO POWER CYCLE VEHICLE SEVERAL TIME FOR ACTUAL STARTUP. DEALERSHIP SAID IT WAS BECAUSE OF LOW VOLTAGE AND HAD NOT DONE ANY OTHER WORK ON VEHICLE OTHER THAN RESET CODE AND PUT MILES ON VEHICLE.

I HAVE A 2016 DODGE CHARGER SXT. THE CARS DOOR PANELS ON ALL DOORS HAVE BEGAN TO PEEL BACK. THIS IS CAUSING THE WINDOW FRAMING TO BE EXPOSED AND CAUSING THE WINDOW TO NOT BE PROTECTED. THIS HAS BECOME A NATIONAL PROBLEM WITH THESE DODGE CHARGERS. THERE IS NO WARRANTY OUT THAT CAN COVER THESE ISSUES. THESE ARE NEWER MODEL CARS THAT HAVE DEFECTS THAT SHOULD BE FIXED. A RECALL NEEDS TO BE PUT IN PLACE SO THAT THE PEOPLE WHO ARE SUFFERING FROM THIS ISSUE CAN GET IT REPLACED WITH NO COST OR AT A VERY LOW COST. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.
AFTER DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY AT NORMAL HIGHWAY SPEEDS, I PARKED MY CAR IN A MOTEL PARKING LOT, GOT OUT, AND NOTICED OIL SPRAYED ONTO THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT AND BACK DOORS INCLUDING PART OF THE REAR BUMPER, SAW OIL SPRAYED ON THE PASSENGER FRONT TIRE, AND NOTICED A PUDDLE OF OIL ON THE GROUND UNDER THE PASSENGER FRONT DOOR . AFTER CHECKING THE OIL DIPSTICK, IT REGISTERED ZERO OIL. NO WARNING LIGHTS OR SOUND ALERTED ME THAT THE OIL LEVEL WAS LOW. I TOWED MY CAR TO THE DEALER AND THEY FOUND THAT AN OIL COOLER HOSE RUPTURED AND RESULTED IN COMPLETE OIL LOSS. IT IS STILL IN THE SHOP WAITING FOR A REPLACEMENT HOSE. THIS DEFECTIVE HOSE PROBLEM WAS FOUND ON 2017 CHARGER MODELS THAT COULD RESULT IN ENGINE SEIZURE OR FIRE AND THEY WILL BE RECALLED IN SEPTEMBER 2018. APPARENTLY SOME 2016 MODELS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. I WANT TO MAKE SURE THE REPLACEMENT HOSE THE DEALER ORDERED IS A NEW TYPE DESIGNED NOT TO FAIL LIKE THE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT TO AVOID A POTENTIAL DISASTER IN THE FUTURE WHILE I'M DRIVING THE CAR.

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO REPLACED THE FRONT BRAKES AND ROTORS; HOWEVER, THE REPAIR DID NOT CORRECT THE BRAKE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,127.

THIS HAS HAPPEND TWICE ON CITY STREETS AND ONCE ON THE HIGHWAY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS .ALSO THE CAR HAS MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE PAST OWEN PUT INTO PARK AND WILL ROLL AWAY AND SAY SERVICE TRANSMISSION SET PARKING BRAKE AND IF YOU DON'T SET PARKING BRAKE AND TAKE YOUR FOOT OFF THE BRAKE THE CAR WILL STALL, DEALER REPLACED TRANSMISSION MANUAL SERVICE SWITCH AND THE CAR HAS DONE IT 2 TIMES SINCE. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER MULTIPLE TIMES WITH NO 'FIX' IN SIGHT DODGE CUSTOMER CARE HAS BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE AND THERE IS A CASE OPEN, HOWEVER THE VEHICLE STILL HAS SERIOUS SAFETY POWERTRAIN ISSUES WITH NO REMEDY IN SIGHT, DEALER SAYS CAR BANGS BECAUSE THE TRANSMISSION IS 'STUCK IN A SWEET SPOT' BUT THEY DON'T HAVE AN ANSWER FOR THE SERVICE AWD LIGHT

4/6/2018 WHILE DRIVING ON INTERSTATE 44 DRIVING AT 65 MPH TRAVELING EAST TOWARD ST LOUIS MO OUR SUNROOF EXPLODED. SOUNDED LIKE A BLOWN TIRE. THE SUNSHADE WAS CLOSED AND MOST OF THE GLASS BLEW OUTWARD. VERY LITTLE GLASS WAS LEFT. THERE WAS NO REASON FOR THE SUNROOF TO EXPLODE. UNKNOWN REASON. WE WERE NOT DRIVING UNDER AN OVERPASS. IT JUST EXPLODED. WE WERE LUCKY TO HAVE THE SUNSHADE CLOSED AND LUCKY THAT THE FLYING GLASS DID NOT HURT OR HIT THE CARS BEHIND US. I KEEP MY COOL DURING PROBLEMS. I JUST SLOWED DOWN AND PULLED OVER ABOUT A MILE LATER. HOWEVER, I COULD SEE HOW IT MIGHT STARTLE SOME PEOPLE INTO AN ACCIDENT. THE CAR WAS 18 MONTHS OLD WITH 27,XXX MILES. I BABY MY CHARGER SRT AND AGAIN, THERE WAS NO REASON. IT IS THE CAR COMPANY'S STAND THAT THERE IS NO WARRANTY ON GLASS. OUR INSURANCE IS PAYING FOR IT, BUT WE ARE OUT THE DEDUCTIBLE OF $250. AND, WHEN I STARTED THIS REPORT I HAD TO CLICK ON THE AREA SUCH AS TIRES, ENGINE ECT. THERE IS NOT AN ICON THAT SAYS SUNROOF. I HAD TO CLICK "OTHER". YOU NEED AN ICON FOR SUNROOF... I DO HAVE PICTURES. IT IS JUST A SUNROOF WITH A LITTLE GLASS AROUND THE EDGE STILL ATTACHED.

SOMETIMES WHEN I GET IN MY VEHICLE AND ATTEMPT TO BUCKLE MY SEAT BELT IT DOESN'T PROPERLY LOCK IN PLACE. I'VE HAD THIS ISSUE OVER 3 MONTHS. SOMETIMES IT WORK AND SOMETIMES I HAVE TO ATTEMPT AT LEAST 20 TIMES. DEALERSHIP WANTS TO CHARGE$175 JUDY TO CHECK IT OUT.
