TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT FUEL WOULD SPEW OUT OF THE FUEL TANK WHILE REFUELING. THE CONTACT DID NOT TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER OR A LOCAL MECHANIC FOR INSPECTION OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND A COMPLAINT WAS FILED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 63,000.
I HAVE A 2007 DODGE DURANGO AND I AM EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WHEN I ATTEMPT TO FILL THE VEHICLE UP WITH FUEL. JUST AFTER THE GAS PUMP NOZZLE CLICKS OFF, GAS SPRAYS BACK OUT OF THE FUEL CAP AND ONTO THE SIDE OF THE CAR, THE GROUND AND ME IF I'M STANDING TO CLOSE. I HAVE FOUND A VIDEO OF THIS ISSUE ONLINE VIA YOUTUBE: HTTP://WWW.YOUTUBE.COM/WATCH?V=FS5U63CN-II PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO WATCH THIS AS IT CLEARLY DEPICTS THE SAFETY ISSUE INVOLVED. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO MY LOCAL CHRYSLER / DODGE GARAGE AND THEY ARE STATING THAT THE ROLLOVER CHECK VALVE ON THE TANK IS STUCK AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THEY STATE THAT THE PART IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY AND WILL COST $835. *TR
NO INCIDENT TO REPORT. TURN SIGNAL MALFUNCTIONED WHEN SIGNALING LEFT TURN. BOTH SIGNALS FLASHED.
MY 2007 DODGE DURANGO 4X4 LIMITED OVERFLOWS GASOLINE AT THE FUEL FILLER NECK EACH TIME I ALLOW THE AUTO-SHUTOFF TO FILL THE TANK. THIS PROBLEM STARTED AT APPROXIMATELY 55,000 MILES. THE FUEL SHUTOFF ALWAYS WORKS, BUT A SECOND OR SO LATER, A LARGE SPRAY OF PRESSURIZED FUEL SQUIRTS OUT OF THE FILLER NECK FROM AROUND THE FUEL NOZZLE. AGAIN, THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE IS FILLED, NO MATTER WHAT GAS STATION AND NO MATTER WHAT TEMPERATURE OR PRIOR FUEL LEVEL. IT HAS HAPPENED CONTINUALLY FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS. I CAN PREVENT THE OVERSPRAY BY SHUTTING OFF THE FUEL BEFORE THE TANK IS FULL AND ALLOWING THE NOZZLE TO STAND FOR 20 SECONDS BEFORE REMOVING IT. THE DODGE DEALERSHIPS I HAVE TALKED TO DO NOT BELIEVE IT IS HAPPENING. THIS IS A FIRE-SAFETY ISSUE AND NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED. *TR
WHEN FILLING MY 2007 DODGE DURANGO WITH GAS, THE GAS OVERFLOWS OUT THE FILLER TUBE. THIS RESULTS IN A LARGE AMOUNT OF GAS SPILLING ON THE VEHICLE AND ON TO THE GROUND. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED ASAP. THIS VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE ANY OPEN RECALLS. *TR
2007 DODGE DURANGO LIMITED, WE TOOK THE CAR TO GET AN ALIGNMENT DONE IN SEPT. 2010 AT DODGE OF BLAINE IN MN. THEY SAID THE LEFT TIE ROD WAS LOOSE DURING THE PRE INSPECTION. WE HAD IT FIXED. LESS THEN 2 MONTHS LATER THE LEFT TIE ROD COMPLETELY BROKE AND DETACHED FROM THE TIRE. I WAS DRIVING AT THE TIME WITH KIDS IN THE CAR. I'VE BEEN TOLD BY THE DODGE DEALERSHIP THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT THEY SEE A LOT OF AND DODGE NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT BUT HAS NOT YET. IS DODGE WAITING FOR A DEATH LAWSUIT BEFORE THEY DO A RECALL ON THIS. THIS COULD BE A VERY DEADLY PROBLEM. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN FUEL WAS ADDED TO THE VEHICLE IT SPILLED OUT OF THE FUEL TANK. THE DEALER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND WHEN THEY ADDED FUEL TO THE VEHICLE THE IDENTICAL FAILURE RECURRED AND SPRAYED FROM THE FILLER TUBE ONCE THE TANK WAS FULL. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE FUEL TANK WAS NEITHER UNDER WARRANTY OR RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 66000.
VALVE STEM ON WHEEL CORRODED AND THREADED PORTION BROKE OFF WHEN REMOVING PROTECTIVE CAP. INNER SPRING-VALVE THEN CAME OUT AND ENTIRE TIRE DEFLATED. 1 OF THE OTHER 3 ALSO LOOKS CORRODED. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE FILLING HER TANK, THE FUEL SPILLED BACK OUT ONTO THE GROUND. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN INSPECTED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 46,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
THIS STARTED ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO. WHEN I FILL UP MY 2007 DURANGO WITH FUEL, THE SECOND IT IS DONE FILLING, THE FUEL COMES BACK OUT OF THE TANK ONTO THE GROUND AND THE SIDE OF THE CAR. I HAVE TRIED FILLING IT MANUALLY AND THE SAME THING HAPPENS. I TOOK IT TO DODGE AND THEY SAID THE ONLY WAY TO FIX IT IS WITH A NEW GAS TANK, $785.00!! MY CAR HAS 45,000 MILES ON IT AND IS OUT OF WARRANTY. NO WAY CAN I AFFORD THAT KIND OF MONEY RIGHT NOW SO I TOLD THEM TO FORGET IT. I SEE NOW WHERE THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM ON THE 2005 DURANGOS AND 2006 -2008'S ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. *TR

TIRE DEALER SAYS THEY KNOW OF ISSUES WITH CORRODING ON VALVE STEMS WITH TPMS BUT DOESN'T SEEM TO BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY OR RECALL/TSB... I CANNOT PUT AIR IN ONE TIRE. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED BY A DEALER OR MECHANIC NOR WAS THE VEHICLE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND ADVISED HIM TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 35,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 5 MPH AND ATTEMPTING A LEFT TURN WHEN THE LEFT TURN SIGNAL SWITCH WAS ENGAGED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LEFT TURN SIGNAL WOULD ACTIVATE MOMENTARILY BEFORE FAILING AND THE RIGHT TURN SIGNAL WOULD INDEPENDENTLY ACTIVATE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED BY THE MANUFACTURER TO CONTACT THE DEALER FOR REPAIRS. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,000.
2007 DODGE DURANGO LIMITED, I'M HAVING A ISSUE WITH THE BLINKERS. WHEN YOU TURN ON TO GO LEFT THE BLINKER BLINKS RIGHT. TO GO RIGHT IT GOES LEFT OR COMPLETELY STOPS WORKING PERIOD. I'VE BEEN TOLD THAT IT COULD POSSIBLY BE THE MULTI FUNCTION SWITCH. I TOOK IT TO THE DODGE DEALERSHIP BUT AT THE MOMENT THE PROBLEM DIDN'T EXIST. THEREFORE COULDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM. THIS IS DANGEROUS NOT TO MENTION YOU GET MANY TICKED OFF DRIVERS THAT DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT YOUR DOING. IT MAKES ME NERVOUS TO DRIVE OR COME UP TO INTERSECTIONS. I HAVE TO VERY CAREFUL AND MAKE SURE THE BLINKER IS BLINKING THE RIGHT WAY SO I DON'T CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THE PROBLEM IS OR WHY I CAN MONTHS WITH OUT AN ISSUE AND A DAY OR TWO WITH PROBLEMS. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 DODGE DURANGO 4X4. THE CONTACT STATED THE WHEN REFUELING THE VEHICLE, GASOLINE FUEL WOULD SPEW BACK OUT OF THE FUEL TANK UNCONTROLLABLY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT APPROXIMATELY ONE HALF GALLON OF GASOLINE WOULD SPEW OUT OF THE FUEL TANK AND HAD BEEN A RECURRING FAILURE FOR APPROXIMATELY SEVEN MONTHS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR THE FAILURE WHERE THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED THAT THE FUEL TANK WOULD NEED REPLACING. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 09V003000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY) WHICH APPLIED TO THE 2005 MODEL BUT NOT THE 2007 MODEL YET THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER AGREED TO ASSIST WITH FIFTY PERCENT OF THE REPAIR COSTS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 41,000 AND THE APPROXIMATE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 51,000.
WHEN YOU FILL UP THE GAS TANK AND THE NOZZLE SHUTS OFF, GAS SHOOTS BACK OUT OF THE FILL TUBE CONNECTED TO THE TANK. *TR
2007 DODGE DURANGO THAT NOW LETS GAS SPILL OUT WHEN FILLING. WE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM BEFORE BUT AFTER 3.5 YEARS OF OWNERSHIP IT NOW SPILLS ABOUT A QUART OF GAS OUT THE FILLER TUBE ALL OVER THE SIDE OF THE TRUCK BEFORE THE PUMP CLICKS OFF. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY HAZARD AND CAN DAMAGE THE PAINT BELOW THE FILLER TUBE. *TR
2007 DODGE DURANGO (APPROX 42K) EQUIPPED WITH TPMS TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM. ALL 4 VALVE STEMS, METAL IS CORRODED. ONE VALVE STEM BROKEN OFF AT THE THREADS WHEN FILLING TIRE WITH AIR. DEALER SAYS THEY KNOW OF ISSUES WITH CORRODING ON VALVE STEMS WITH TPMS BUT IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY OR RECALL. I CONSIDER THIS A SAFETY ISSUE. I CANNOT PUT AIR IN ONE TIRE. THIS COULD ALSO BE LEAKING AND WILL CAUSE TIRE TO BE FLAT OR BLOW OUT. REPLACEMENT OF TPMS UNIT IN ORDER TO FIX ALL 4 OR GO TO NORMAL VALVE STEMS WITH NO TPMS. *TR
MY 2007 DODGE DURANGO SLT STARTED OVERFLOWING DURING PUMPING GAS ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO. ONCE THE TANK FILLS UP, IT SHOOTS ABOUT 500 ML OF GAS OUT OF THE TANK BEFORE THE PUMP SHUTS OFF. I FIRST THOUGHT IT WAS THE PUMP, SO I TRIED DIFFERENT STATION AND DIFFERENT PUMPS AND ALWAYS THE SAME RESULT. I ALSO TRIED TO FILL UP THE TANK ABOUT 90% OF THE WAY, PULL OUT THE PUMP TO LET IT VENT, AND THEN CONTINUE PUMPING AFTER THE TANK WAS VENTED. THIS DIDNT HELP. THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS PROBLEM. I SHOOTS A HALF LITER OF GAS ONTO THE GROUND THAT SOAKES INTO THE GROUND, POOLS ON THE GROUND, AND RUNS ALL OVER THE CAR. IF SOMEONE WAS SMOKING OR SOMETHING SPARKED, A LOT OF PEOPLE CAN BE KILLED. IT SHOULD BE A RECALL! THIS HAS HAPPEND TO ME AT LEAST 20 TIMES, IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS TO SOME DEGREE EVEN WHILE KNOWING IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN. SOMETHING NEEDS TO HAPPEN. *TR
WHILE TRYING TO FILL THE FUEL TANK, THERE WAS A GAS OVERFLOW SPEWING GASOLINE ALL OVER MYSELF AND VEHICLE. *TR
EVERYTIME I TRY TO FILL THE GAS TANK, IT SPEWS GAS BACK OUT AT ME. THE AUTOMATIC PUMP SHUTOFF WILL TRIP FOLLOWED IMMEDIATELY BY A BUNCH OF GAS SQUIRTING BACK OUT OF THE VEHICLE. THIS CANNOT BE SAFE. *TR

WHEN REFUELING THE CAR FUEL WOULD SPEW FROM THE FILLER NECK JUST BEFORE IT WAS FULL. CONTACTED DODGE AND THEY WANT ME TO PAY $200.00 TO REPLACE THE FUEL TANK. SO FAR I HAVE REFUSED TO PAY, BUT I REALLY NEED TO GET THIS FIXED, IT IS A HAZARD.
THE VEHICLE WAS OPERATING AT HIGHWAY SPEED WHEN THE RIGHT FRONT TIE ROD BROKE AT THE KNUCKLE. THERE WAS NO WARNING, ABNORMAL TIRE WEAR OR DAMAGE PRIOR TO THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS ON A EIGHT LANE HIGHWAY AND WAS ABLE TO GET OFF THE ROAD WITH OUT A CRASH. THE WHEEL SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE FROM THE LOOSE TIE ROD END. *TR
I HAVE A 2007 DODGE DURANGO. THE LAST THREE TIMES I PUT GAS (AT TWO DIFFERENT GAS STATIONS) THE GAS SPRAYED BACK OUT WITH LOTS OF FORCE. THE LAST TIME, I DID NOT EVEN FILL THE TANK COMPLETELY AND STILL THE GAS SPILLED OUT. AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS THE GAS PUMP, BUT IT HAS OCCURRED AT TWO DIFFERENT GAS STATIONS. I HAVE A 2007 DODGE DURANGO HEMI LIMITED AND MY WIFE WAS DRIVING IT ON THE TURNPIKE EXPRESSWAY TOWARD SOUTH AT 55 MPH WHEN SUDDENLY THE ENGINE STALLS OUT WITHOUT ANY WARNING, SHE LOST COMPLETE CONTROL OVER THE CAR, THE BRAKES AND THE STEERING DID NOT WORK, SHE HAD TO MANEUVER THE CAR AND THANKS HER EXPERTISE AND NO CAR IN HER WAY, SHE CAN STOPPED IT PUTTING THE TRANSMISSION IN "PARK", WAS THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THAT DEADLY SITUATION. MY DAUGHTER WAS INSIDE THE CAR SO TERRIFIED. I TOOK IT BACK TOWED TO THE DEALER AND JUST LIKE MOST OTHERS WITH THIS PROBLEM THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING. THEY ARE TRYING TO GET ME TO PAY THEM FIRST TO PUT A BATTERY AND ANOTHER SENSOR TO SEE WHAT HAPPENED OR WHAT IS THE PROBLEM, THEY DON'T KNOW. THIS CAR ALMOST KILLS MY FAMILY AND/OR SOMEONE ELSE AND POTAMKIN PLANET DODGE AT DORAL AND DODGE DOESN'T RESPONSE. I AM GOING TO GET LEGAL HELP FOR THIS MATTER. *TR

IT DOES THIS EVERY TIME I FILL UP THE VEHICLE WITH GASOLINE. GASOLINE COMES OUT UNDER PRESSURE AND I THINK ITS A FIRE HAZARD. 3. WELL, I CANT FILL UP MY CAR BECAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. I LOOKED INTO IT AND NOTICE THERE WAS A RECALL ON 2005 DODGE DURANGO. I TOOK MY 2007 DODGE DURANGO TO DEALER AND TOLD THEM ABOUT THE ISSUE. I WAS REFERRED TO CHRYSLER CORPORATE , WHERE THEY TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE TO PAY A 100 DOLLAR COPAY SINCE THERE IS NO RECALL ON MY MODEL YEAR AND MY CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY. I FEEL DODGE DID NOT CORRECT THE ISSUE WITH THE RECALL AND I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR A CLEARLY DEFECTIVE PRODUCT THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN PREVIOUSLY RECALLED ON OTHER MODEL YEARS. *TR
FUEL SPEWS OUT OF FILLER NECK WHEN THE TANK IS FILLED
EVERY TIME I FILL UP THE GAS TANK THINKING THE PUMP WILL STOP ON ITS OWN, IT DOES NOT. GAS FLIES OUT OF THE TANK DOWN THE SIDE AND ALL OVER THE GROUND. NO WAY TO STOP THIS, NO MATER HOW FAST U FILL UP IT STILL DOES THIS. THIS IS DANGEROUS SINCE THEIR IS A STOP IN THE TANK FOR THIS PURPOSE SO IF YOUR IN A ACCIDENT FUEL DOES NOT SPILL. *TR
I HAVE A DODGE DURANGO 2007. THE FRONT PASSENGER AND DRIVER SIDE DOORS SWING BACK WHEN YOU OPEN THE DOORS. MY FIANCE WAS GETTING OUT OF THE TRUCK AND THE DOOR SLAMMED BACK CLOSED ON HIS MIDDLE THREE FINGERS PIERCING HIS MIDDLE FINGER CAUSE HIM TO GET AND STITCH ON THE FRONT SIDE AND THE BACK SIDE OF HIS FINGER. I WAS GETTING OUT OF THE DRIVER SIDE AND THE DOOR SWUNG BACK CLOSE ON MY ANKLE! I HAVE CHILDREN AND I AM FEARFUL THEY WILL GET HURT. *TR
UPON NORMAL FUELING OF THE VEHICLE, GAS WILL SIGNIFICANTLY EXPEL FROM FUEL INLET WHEN THE GAS STATION FUEL PUMP SHUTS OFF. THIS CAUSES DANGEROUS FUEL TO BE IN CONTACT WITH PEOPLE, VEHICLE, OBJECTS AND GROUND AT FUEL STATION. THIS IS A CONDITION THAT WAS NOT CAUSED BY THE OWNER OR FROM NORMAL OPERATION OF THE VEHICLE. THIS OBVIOUS FUELING DEFECT IS CAUSE FOR GENERAL PUBLIC CONCERN FOR MANY REASONS; EXCESSIVE SKIN CONTACT WITH CHEMICALS, THREAT OF MAJOR FIRE OR EXPLOSION THAT COULD INJURE, HARM OR KILL INDIVIDUALS AND IS AN ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARD TO THE COMMUNITY. *KB
WHEN FUELING YOU HAVE TO SHUT OFF GAS BEFORE FULL BECAUSE GAS WILL NOT SHUT OFF AND SPRAY OUT. THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY WHEN PUTTING IN FUEL. THIS HAPPENS AT EVERY FUELING I HAVE TO MAKE SURE AND SHUT OFF BEFORE THE TANK IS FULL.

THE DEALER OR MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN NOTIFIED AND THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED OR REPAIRED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 36,000 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 26,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
GAS SPRAYS OUT OF FILLER TUBE 3 TO 5 FEET AFTER THE GAS PUMP SHUTS OFF. STARTED AT ABOUT 40,000 MILES. I HAVE A 2007 DODGE DURANGO 4.7 LT, 4WD. IT HAPPENS EVERY TIME I FILL UP THE GAS TANK. THE CAR HAS ABOUT 43,000 MILES. DEALER SAYS THERE IS NO RECAL AND I HAVE TO PAY. THERE WAS A RECAL FOR THE 2005 DURANGO. *CN
I HAVE A 2007 DODGE DURANGO LIMITED THAT I PURCHASED NEW 07/28/07FROM KARI DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP, 1177 US HWY 2 E, KALISPELL, MT 59901. IT IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY; THIS WILL EXPIRE 07/28/10. SINCE ABOUT MARCH 1ST, 2010 IT HAS BEEN STALLING AND LUNGING AT LOW SPEEDS; WHICH MY HUSBAND AND I THOUGHT WAS CONDENSATION IN THE GAS LINE, BUT IT FINALLY DIED ON THE ONCOMING LANE OF TRAFFIC 03/16/10. SO I CALL KARI DODGE 03/17/10 AND REPORTED THE PROBLEM. I BROUGHT IT INTO KARI DODGE 03/18/10 AND THEY CLAIM THE FIXED THE PROBLEM, SO I PICKED IT UP AND DROVE IT THROUGH THE WEEKEND. ON 03/22/10 I CALLED KARI AGAIN AND REPORTED TO THEM THE DURANGO IS STILL STALLING/HESITATING/LUNGING. I BROUGHT IT IN AGAIN 03/23/10 AND BY THE TIME I GOT TO WORK AND KARI 17 MILES LATER I WAS JUST SHAKING AND SICK TO MY STOMACH. SO FAR THE DURANGO HAS BEEN IN AND OUT OF KARI DODGE THREE TIMES AND WILL GO IN AGAIN 04/12/10. EACH TIME THEY CALL ME THEY SAY IT'S READY. I PICK IT UP AND CONTINUES TO STALL AND LUNGE. THEY CLAIM SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVE DRIVEN IT AND EVEN THEIR SERVICE MANGER, MIKE, COULD NOT GET THE DURANGO TO DO WHAT WE SAY IT'S DOING. MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE ONCE AGAIN DRIVEN THE DURANGO ALL WEEKEND AFTER KARI DODGE HAS SAID IT IS READY AND IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. WE HAD A FRIEND DRIVE IT TODAY AND IT DID THE VERY SAME THING WE ARE SAYING IT DOES. THE DURANGO HAS A MAJOR PROBLEM. I'M SCARED TO DRIVE IT. WE (MY HUSBAND AND I )COULD BE IN A VERY SERIOUS ACCIDENT OR BE REAR ENDED. I HAVE A CASE NUMBER STARTED WITH CHRYSLER CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE CENTER #[XXX] AND I HAVE ALSO LOGGED A COMPLAINT WITH THE FTC -REF#[XXX]. I HAVE KEPT A PRETTY GOOD JOURNAL THIS PAST MONTH IN REGARDS TO KARI DODGE AND MY DURANGO. THEY CAN'T SEEM TO FIX THE PROBLEM. WHEN USING THE BLINKER IT COMMONLY FLASHES THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION BEING TURNED. ALSO FREQUENTLY THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WILL STOP WORKING AND/OR GO FROM A FAST SETTING TO A SLOW SETTING. *TR
ON FEBRUARY 27, 2010 WE, THE OWNERS, WERE DETAILING OUR 2007 DODGE DURANGO. IN ORDER TO FULLY DETAIL THE VEHICLE WE OPTED TO REMOVE THE SEATS IN ORDER TO SHAMPOO THE CARPETS. IN REMOVING THE BOLTS BELOW THE MIDDLE SEAT WITH A RATCHET, TWO OF THE BOLT HEADS BELOW THE MIDDLE SEAT SNAPPED OFF. THIS CONCERNS ME DEEPLY THAT THE LITTLE BIT OF MAN POWER EXERTED INTO REMOVING THE BOLTS IS A FRACTION OF THE POWER EXERTED IN A VEHICLE ACCIDENT. THESE BOLTS WOULD HAVE BEEN EASILY SNAPPED OFF IN THE EVENT OF A VEHICLE ACCIDENT. THIS PROBLEM DOES NEED TO BE ADDRESSED IN SOME WAY, SHAPE OR FORM. I HAVE TWO CHILDREN WHO SIT IN THE MIDDLE SEAT OF THIS VEHICLE 100% OF THE TIME AND I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO WONDER IF, GOD FORBID A VEHICLE ACCIDENT OCCURS, THAT THE MIDDLE SEAT, OR ANY OF THE SEATS IN MY CAR FOR THAT MATTER, ARE GOING TO STAY IN PLACE BECAUSE OF THE BOLTS SECURING THEM DOWN. MY 2007 DODGE DURANGO 4X4 STARTED THROWING BACK GASOLINE FROM THE FILLER TUBE. THIS STARTED OCCURRING ABOUT 4-6 WEEKS AGO AND NOW HAPPENS EVERYTIME I FILL THE TANK. DOES NOT MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE WHERE, WHEN, OR IF I HOLD THE NOZZLE OR NOT. SOMETIMES THE GAS COMES BACK WITH ENOUGH FORCE TO GET ALL OVER MY CLOTHES AND SHOES. VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. I READ ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEM WITH '05 DURANGOS AND CALLED CHRYSLER. THEY ACTED LIKE THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT AND TOLD ME TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER. I OWN A 2007 DODGE DURANGO AND IT HAS BEGUN SPITTING OUT THE FUEL IF I ATTEMPT TO FILL THE TANK. BESIDES BEING FRUSTRATING THIS IS A SERIOUS ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN. MY DURANGO IS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY AND I CURRENTLY CAN NOT AFFORD TO PAY TO HAVE THE ISSUE DIAGNOSED. FUEL SPILLS OUT OF 2007 DODGE DURANGO WHEN REFILLING. THE FUEL PUMP SHUTS OFF BUT ABOUT OF FUEL BLOWS BACK OUT OF GAS TANK, ONTO SIDE OF VEHICLE AND ONTO GROUND. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE FRONT AND REAR PASSENGER SIDE VALVE STEMS WERE REPLACED ON THE VEHICLE PREVIOUSLY AND WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED AGAIN TO CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE DEALER CONFIRMED THERE WERE ISSUES WITH THE VALVE STEMS HOWEVER, WOULD NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 58,342.
GAS SPEWS FROM THE FILLER NOZZLE ST THE END OF FILLING UP THE VEHICLE WITH FUEL. VEHICLE IS A 2007 DODGE DURANGO. *TR
I JUST PURCHASED A 2007 DODGE DURANGO AND NOTICED THAT EVERY TIME I FILL UP THE TRUCK AT A GAS STATION, INSTEAD OF THE GAS PUMP AUTOMATICALLY SHUTTING OFF ONCE THE GAS TANK WAS FULL, GAS WOULD SPIT/BACK OUT OF THE NOZZLE AREA AND RUN DOWN THE SIDE OF THE TRUCK. I AT FIRST THOUGHT IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN THE GAS STATION, BUT IT HAS OCCURRED THREE MORE TIMES AT DIFFERENT GAS STATIONS. NEEDLESS TO SAY, THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND APPARENTLY, THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH OTHER DODGE OWNERS. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THAT BECAUSE I PURCHASED THE EXTENDED WARRANTY, I'M RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEDUCTIBLE. THIS PROBLEM SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALL ON DODGE BEHALF. I'M AFRAID THAT BECAUSE I HAVE TO WAIT TO COME UP WITH THE DEDUCTIBLE, A MORE SERIOUS ACCIDENT COULD OCCUR IN THE MEANTIME. HAD OWNED OUR 2007 DODGE DURANGO FOR OVER 2 MONTHS, AND HAD BEEN DRIVING IT WITH NO PROBLEMS ON SNOW, SLUSH, ETC. ON DEC 29TH, 2009, I SLOWLY PULLED INTO MY IN-LAWS' DRIVEWAY AND WAS JUST ABOUT TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP, WHEN THE CAR SURGED FORWARD. I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE AND HIT BRAKES AGAIN, THOUGH IT DID SLIDE INTO MY FATHER-IN-LAW'S CAR BEFORE I COULD STOP. CONSIDERING THE SLUSH, I THOUGHT PERHAPS I WAS CONFUSED IN THE COMMOTION AND MAYBE IT WAS JUST A SKID. HOWEVER, THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED THE NEXT DAY, AT AN INTERSECTION I WAS APPROACHING AT LESS THAN 5 MPH. RIGHT AT THE MOMENT THE CAR "SHOULD" HAVE STOPPED, IT SUDDENLY ACCELERATED, AND I HAD TO AGAIN TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE AND THEN QUICKLY PRESS ON IT HARD SO THAT I WOULD STOP. THANKFULLY THE CAR APPROACHING FROM THE LEFT HAD NOT YET REACHED THE INTERSECTION YET. MY SISTER-IN-LAW ALSO FELT THE SURGE AND ASKED ME WHAT IT WAS. I TOLD HER THAT IT WAS WHAT HAD HAPPENED THE DAY BEFORE, BUT I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT WAS HAPPENING. THAT WAS OVER 2 MONTHS AGO AND IT HASN'T HAPPENED SINCE, AND FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND, TAKING IT INTO THE DEALER PROBABLY WON'T DO ANY GOOD BECAUSE IT IS NOT A CONSISTENTLY OCCURRING PROBLEM AND THEY LIKELY WON'T BE ABLE TO TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED.
