THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING TO WORK AT ABOUT 0745 GOING NORTH ON I35 FROM TEMPLE TX TO WACO. A 18 WHEELER CUT ME OFF WHILE I WAS IN THE RIGHT LANE. HE PASSED ME THEN VERY QUICKLY CHANGED LANES. I STOMPED ON THE BRAKES AND NOTHING HAPPENED THEN I LIFTED MY FEET AND STEPPED ON THE BRAKES AGAIN AND NOTHING HAPPENED.THEN ON THE THIRD STOMP THEY FINALLY WORKED. AT THAT TIME I HEARD A RUSHING OF AIR .I HIT THE BRAKES AGAIN BUT THERE WAS NO AIR NOISE. THE BRAKES WORKED FINE AFTER THAT BUT I DIDN'T GET BACK ON THE INTERSTATE. I DROVE VERY CAREFULLY THE REST OF THE DAY. BUT I HAVE HAD OTHER TIMES THAT WHEN I HIT THE BRAKES THE BRAKE PEDAL PUSHED BACK ON MY FOOT. THAT HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES. *TR

ALTERNATOR DIODES IN MY VEHICLE MAY EXPERIENCE A RAPID FAILURE VARIABILITY IN THE FAILURE MODE RANGES FROM NO OUTPUT, REDUCED OUTPUT, AND /OR FULLY SHORTED TO GROUND CONDITION DEPENDING ON THE ALTERNATOR FAILURE MODE AND TIMING, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM VOLTAGE MAY DROP TO CRITICAL LEVELS, DISABLING SYSTEMS SUCH AS ABS SYSTEM, ESC SYSTEM, ECM SYSTEM AND/OR THE CENTRAL BODY CONTROLLER. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE PCV CRANK CASE VENTILATION VALVE AND THE FUEL PUMP RELAY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. MY VEHICLE BEGAN HAVING TROUBLE IN LATE FEBRUARY 2015 WITH TURNING OVER AT THE FIRST START OF THE DAY. SINCE THAT TIME, THE PROBLEM HAS CONTINUED, BUT MORE FREQUENTLY AND WORSE THAN EACH PREVIOUS TIME. I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE, PRESTIGE DODGE, ON TWO OCCASIONS TO HAVE THE PROBLEM LOOKED AT AND ON THE SECOND OCCASION I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THE ISSUE IS RELATED TO A RECALL WITH THE FUEL PUMP RELAY AND THAT A RECALL ON THE PART WAS FORTHCOMING, BUT THERE IS NO WAY FOR THE ISSUE TO BE REMEDIED, SINCE PARTS HAVE NOT BEEN ISSUED BY CHRYSLER. I ALSO CONTACTED CHRYSLER AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO TO ASSIST IN CORRECTING THE ISSUE INCLUDING REPAIRING, PROVIDING A RENTAL VEHICLE, ETC. AND THAT I WILL JUST NEED TO WAIT UNTIL THE CAR WILL NOT RUN ANY LONGER, HAVE IT TOWED AND THEN PAY FOR A RENTAL VEHICLE OUT OF MY POCKET UNTIL THEY ISSUE PARTS FOR THE RECALL. AT THAT TIME THERE WAS NOT AN ESTIMATED TIME FOR PARTS TO BE ISSUED AND THERE STILL IS NOT. NOW, I RECEIVE AN "INTERIM" NOTICE OF "IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL" FOR THE "FUEL PUMP RELAY" THAT STATES THAT THE ISSUE COULD CAUSE MY VEHICLE COULD OPERATE INTERMITTENTLY OR "FAIL WITHOUT WARNING," AND ULTIMATELY "CAUSE THE ENGINE TO STALL WHILE DRIVING AND CAUSE A CRASH WITHOUT WARNING." *TR

THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. I AM NOW CONCERNED THAT THE VEHICLE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS GOING TO FAIL IN ROUTE. IF THIS HAPPENS THEN THERE IS GOING TO BE AN ACCIDENT AS THE BRAKE SYSTEM AND POWER STEERING WILL FAIL CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO CRASH. ARE THEY WAITING FOR THAT TO HAPPEN BEFORE THEY SPEND THE MONEY TO FIX IT? MY FAMILY'S LIVES ARE AT STAKE HERE AS WELL AS ANYONE WE PASS ON THE ROAD. RECOMMENDED I FILE THIS COMPLAINT WITH THE NHTSA. WE WERE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN WE HEARD A POP THEN IT SOUNDED LIKE A BAG WAS STUCK TO THE ROOF OF OUR CAR AND WAS FLAPPING IN THE WIND. WE STARTED TO OPEN THE SUNROOF SHADE WHEN WE NOTICED THE SUNROOF GLASS WAS BROKEN.
