MY CAR POWER CUT OUT COMPLETELY WHILE DRIVING ALONG ON THE INTERSTATE AT 75 MILES PER HOUR. I WAS DARK AND I HAD TO TRY AND PULL OVER WITH NO HEAD LIGHTS TO A SAFE PLACE TO RESTART MY VEHICLE 2013 DODGE DURANGO. THIS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES. I THOUGHT THAT WHEN I GOT THE RECALLS DONE IT WOULD ALLEVIATE THE PROBLEM, HOWEVER, THAT WAS NOT THE CASE. I AM STILL HAVING THE PROBLEM. I CALLED DODGE ON THE TOLL FREE # AND THEY HAD ME TAKE MY VEHICLE TO THE DODGE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID MY CABIN FILTER, AIR FILTER, AND FUEL SOMETHING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THIS SHOULD NOT SHUT DOWN THE WHOLE CAR IF THE FILTERS NEED TO BE CHANGED. THIS PROBLEM HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES, APRIL 22, MAY 16, MAY 20, MAY 28, JUNE 18, JUNE 19 AND JUNE 13.
RECENTLY I HAD A FLAT TIRE. I PULLED OUT THE JACK SUPPLIED BY DODGE, WHEN ATTEMPTING TO RAISE THE CAR THE JACK WAS RIGID. WHEN I RAISED THE CAR I TOOK THE CAR'S TIRE AND PLACED IT UNDER THE VEHICLE, WHILE I WAS BRINGING THE SPARE TIRE DOWN, THE JACK GAVE WAY AND THE CAR LANDED ON TOP OF THE TIRE I HAD JUST REMOVED FROM THE CAR. THANKS, THAT I HAD PLACED THAT TIRE THERE, OTHERWISE THE CAR WOULD HAD FALLEN ON ME. I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THE JACK REPLACED AND THEY SAY THAT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE WARRANTY. READING DODGE WARRANTY FROM THEIR HOME PAGE THEY SAY EVERYTHING IS INCLUDED, EXCEPT FOR TIRES AND WIRELESS HEADPHONES. MY CAR IS UNDER WARRANTY AND NO ONE WANTS TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM. NHTSA SHOULD OPEN AN INVESTIGATION ON THIS REGARDS, I AM SURE I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS SITUATION.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS PREMATURE EXPOSURE NEAR THE UNDERBODY OF THE VEHICLE CLOSE TO THE WIRING. ALSO, THE EMISSIONS HOSE WAS EATEN THROUGH BY RODENTS. THE PARTS WERE REPLACED ONCE, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER REPLACED THE EMISSIONS HOSE A SECOND TIME MONTHS LATER, BUT THE RODENTS CHEWED THROUGH THE PART AGAIN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES AND ADVISED THAT THE DEALER REPLACE THE PART. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
TIPM RECALL ISSUE. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO GET THE TIPM RECALL. ABOUT 900 MILES AFTER THE REPAIR, THE VEHICLE STALLED WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. THE TIPM WIRE BURNT AND THE FUSE BLEW CAUSING THE FAILURE. DODGE DEALERSHIP ATTEMPTED TO FIX THE PROBLEM AGAIN.

AS A RESULT, THE DRIVER CRASHED INTO A WALL IN THE GARAGE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AND THE CONTACT DID NOT SUSTAIN ANY INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA ACTION NUMBER: PE15030 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 31,100.

I PURCHASE MY VEHICLE IN 2013 AND SHORTLY AFTER RECVD SEVERAL RECALLS. ONE RECALL WAS REPAIRED IN A TIMELY MANNER, HOWEVER IT TOOK FROM NOVEMBER 2013 TO MARCH 8, 2016 TO RECV AN APPOINTMENT TO COMPLETE THE ADDITIONAL RECALLS. SHORTLY BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT MY ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. WHEN I MEET MY APPOINTMENT TIME AT NYLE MAXWELL SUPERCENTER IN AUSTIN TX, I INFORMED THEM OF THE ENGINE LIGHT. AFTER A WEEK, THEY INFORMED ME THAT NOT ONLY THE COUNTLESS RECALLS THAT NEED REPAIR THAT I ALSO NEEDED A PART FOR MY TRANSMISSION. THEY HAVE NO VEHICLE FOR ME TO LOAN OUT TO ME THAT MEETS THE SAME NEEDS AS MY DURANGO AND HAVE INFORMED ME THAT THEY MAY KEEP MY VEHICLE FOR ANOTHER 30 DAYS..

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 14V154000 (SERVICE BRAKES , SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC ) AND 14V104000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC ). IN ADDITION, THE COOLANT WAS LEAKING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,000.
MY DAUGHTER & GRANDDAUGHTER WAS DRIVING ALONG AND THE VEHICLE JUST SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING NO MESSAGES NO INDICATORS LIGHTS NO WARNING NOTHING JUST SO HAPPEN THEY WERE ON THE SAME STREET AS THE DODGE DEALERSHIP & WAS ABLE TO GET IT STARTED LONG ENOUGH TO GET IT DOWN THE STREET NOW I'M BEING TOLD IT COULD POSSIBLY HAVE BEEN RUNNING HOT & NOW HAVING MOTOR ISSUES NOW I'VE TOLD THEM BEFORE I'VE SMELLED COOLANT AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG NOW THERE'S AN ISSUE THIS IS SOME BS
POWER STEERING FAILS, THEY HAVE REPLACED PUMP AND FLUID STILL FAILS UNABLE TO TURN THE WHEEL WITHOUT MAJOR FORCE.
NAVIGATIONAL SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING. RADIO WORKS. I WAS TOLD BY DEALERSHIP I NEED TO BUY A WHOLE NEW RADIO SYSTEM. THEN THE GENTLEMAN SAID," THAT IS SO FUNNY BECAUSE TWO OTHER CUSTOMERS ONE WITH A JEEP AND ONE WITH A DODGE CHALLENGER COMPLAINED ABOUT THE SAME THING". PLEASE INVESTIGATE. I HAVE BEEN THROUGH THE VISOR FIRE THAT THE DEALERSHIP REFUSED TO HANDLE, JARRETT FORD DID ALL REPAIRS AND FCA PAID THEM. THIS IS DEFINITELY AN ISSUE. THANK YOU.

I AM THE FIRST AND ONLY OWNER OF A DODGE DURANGO 2013: ON DEC 25TH I WAS LEFT STRANDED WITH MY CAR, WINDOWS OPEN AND UNABLE TO MOVE IT ANYWHERE. IT LITERALLY DIED AND HAD TO LEAVE IT ALONG THE ROADSIDE SINCE I WAS WITH MY 4 SMALL CHILDREN. I WAS DRIVING, AND THE CAR STARTED WITH A WEIRD NOISE, THEN SMOKE STARTED COMING OUT, THE ALL THE LIGTHS ON THE DASHBOARD STARTED TO FLASH, THE TEMPERATURE WAS ALWAYS INFORMED AS NORMAL, THEN THE WINDSHIELD WIPPERS STARTED TO WORK ON ITS OWN AND THEN THE CAR LITERALLY DIED. THERE WAS NO POSSIBILITY OF IGNITION NOR NOTHING. THE CAR HAD TO BE TOWED AWAY BY A SPECIAL TRUCK SINCE IT HAD TO PICK UP THE CAR AND PLACE IT ON THE TRUCK, SINCE THERE WAS NO POSSIBILITY TO HAVE IGNITION. THE MOST STRANGE THING IS THAT ON DECEMBER 12, THE CAR WAS OUT OF THE DOGE WORKSHOP FOR THE 40,000 KM REVISION WITH NO PROBLEM. SO FAR I HAVE BEEN INFORMED THAT THE CENTRAL COMPUTER OF THE CAR DIED, THE BATTERY WAS BURNED AND THE ALTERNATOR DIED............ ALL THIS INFORMATION IS PROVIDED BY THE GARAGE WHERE MY CAR IS AT. IS THIS A PROBLEM THAT I HAVE TO PAY FOR OR IS IT A PROBLEM THAT THE COMPANY WILL PAY FOR EVERYTHING? PLEASE ADVICE ME ON HOW TO PROCEED
THREE RECALLS UNADDRESSED FOR 1+ YEARS. CHRYSLER RECALL: P14 (NHTSA # 14V-154), P36 (14V-391), R09 (15V-115). DEALER AND MANUFACTURER CLAIM THAT THEY ARE UNABLE TO OBTAIN REPAIR PARTS TO ADDRESS RECALL. FCA IS UNABLE TO ADDRESS A RECALL ACTIVE SINCE APRIL 1, 2014. TODAY IS NOV 7, 2015.

THE VIN AND NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT WAS NOT EXPERIENCING A FAILURE AND WAS CONCERNED THAT THERE MAY BE A DEFECTIVE PART IN THE VEHICLE.

HEMET CHRYSLER DODGE, 240 CARRIAGE CIRCLE, HEMET, CA.92545, MADE MY APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE FUEL PUMP RELAY REPLACED AS THEY SAID THEY HAD THE PART, AND THEN I GO THERE AND WAIT 2 HOURS. THEY COME OUT AND SAID THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PART AND DO NOT KNOW WHEN THEY WILL HAVE IT. THIS IS UNHEARD OF. I AM GOING ON A TRIP IN OCT IN THIS VEHICLE. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHEN SOMETHING IS SO UNSAFE HOW IS IT THE DEALERS DO NOT SEEM TO CARE? WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSE TO DO? I WAS TOLD TO KEEP CALLING.
WHILE PARKING MY TRUCK, I REMOVED MY FOOT FROM THE ACCELERATOR AND THE TRUCK ACCELERATED UNEXPECTEDLY, WENT OVER A CURB, INTO A TREE AND BACK OVER A CURB. THERE WAS OVER $19,000 WORTH OF DAMAGE TO THE TRUCK. A CASE WAS OPENED WITH DODGE/CHRYSLER AND THE RESPONSE WAS RECEIVED OVER A MONTH LATER INDICATING THAT THIS INCIDENT WAS NOT DUE MANUFACTURER FAULT. THIS TRUCK WAS ALSO AT THE DEALERSHIP 4 DAYS PRIOR TO BE SERVICED FOR RECALL CAMPAIGN R09/NHTSA 14V-115.

I HAVE TRIED FOR ALMOST ONE YEAR TO HAVE THE FUEL PUMP RELAY SAFETY RECALL DONE AND EACH TIME THE DEALER STATES THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PART IN STOCK AND TO KEEP CALLING THEM BACK.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND COULD NOT PROVIDE AN ESTIMATED DATE FOR WHEN THE CONTACTS VEHICLE WOULD RECEIVE THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT WAS NOT EXPERIENCING A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
THE PASSENGER SIDE WHEEL WELL MOLDING DETACHED AND FLEW OFF WHILE DRIVING. THE TRUCK WAS RETURNED TO THE DEALER FOR SERVICE AFTER WAITING FOR 2 HOURS I WAS ADVISED THE PART WOULD NEED TO BE ORDERED AND WOULD BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. I RETURNED TO THE DEALER WHEN THE PART WAS IN, TOLD THE PART WAS AT ANOTHER SHOP AND I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL IT WAS PICKED UP. WAITED FOR AN ADDITIONAL 2 HOURS AND WAS TOLD BY A SERVICE ADVISER THAT THE PART WAS DAMAGED AND THEY WOULD NEED TO ORDER ANOTHER ONE, AGAIN I WAS ADVISED THAT THE PART WOULD BE COVERED. WAITED AN ADDITIONAL 3 WEEKS AND RETURNED TO HAVE THE PART INSTALLED, WAS CALLED BY A DIFFERENT SERVICE ADVISER AND TOLD THAT THE REPAIR WOULD NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE THERE WAS A MARK ON THE BUMPER THAT LOOKED LIKE THE BUMPER WAS PULLED OFF BY AN OUTSIDE FORCE. I EXPLAINED THAT THE MARK ON THE BUMPER OCCURRED A YEAR BEFORE THE INCIDENT AND STILL HAD TO PAY $249 FOR A PART THAT I WAS ORIGINALLY WAS TOLD WOULD BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY.

THIS VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NEW IN NOVEMBER OF 2013. SINCE THAT TIME WE HAVE RECEIVED 4 RECALL NOTICES ON THE VEHICLE. TWO NOTICES FOR P14/NHTSA 14V-154 (BRAKE BOOSTER). ONE FOR P36/NHTSA 14V-391 (SUN VISOR WIRING). ONE FOR R09/NHTSA 14V-115 (FUEL PUMP RELAY). WE HAVE CALLED THE SELLING DEALER REGARDING THE BRAKE BOOSTER AND THE SUN VISOR AND STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY TYPE OF NOTIFICATION OF PARTS RECEIVED TO REPAIR. YESTERDAY, WE RECEIVED THE RECALL REGARDING THE INTERNAL FUEL PUMP RELAY, WITH VERBIAGE THAT FIAT CHRYSLER AUTOMOBILES (FCA) DOES NOT CURRENTLY HAVE THE PART AVAILABLE TO PERFORM A "PERMANENT REMEDY." TWO OF THEM ARE SAID TO POSSIBLY CAUSE A FIRE AND THE OTHER A POSSIBLE CRASH. FOR CHRYSLER GROUP LLC/FCA US LLC TO BE ABLE TO GO THIS LONG WITH OUT REPAIRING THESE DEFECTS IS SIMPLY NOT ACCEPTABLE. *TR
