HEADREST AIRBAG DEPLOYED WHILE DRIVING BUT WAS NOT DUE TO AN IMPACT.
IN SEPTEMBER 2019 AFTER MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE VEHICLE WAS IDLING ERRATICALLY, I TOOK MY 2013 DODGE DURANGO INTO A REPAIR SHOP WHERE I WAS TOLD A FUEL INJECTOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. AT THE TIME I ASKED IF THEY ALL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND WAS TOLD NOT NECESSARILY THAT THEY COULD LAST FOR SEVERAL YEARS BEFORE NEEDING TO BE REPLACED. IN DECEMBER 2019, AFTER EXPERIENCING SOME OF THE SAME SYMPTOMS I TOOK MY DURANGO BACK TO THE REPAIR SHOP AND WAS TOLD ONE MORE FUEL INJECTOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND, THIS TIME THE SHOP RECOMMENDED THAT I REPLACE THE OTHER FIVE (5) INJECTORS. I AGREED TO HAVE THEM REPLACE ALL FIVE SINCE IT APPEARED THAT ALL OF THEM MAY MALFUNCTION OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL MONTHS. THE DAY AFTER I HAD THE FIVE REPLACED, MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE REPAIR SHOP AGAIN WHERE THEY TOLD ME IT THAT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS NOT REPLACED TO THE FUEL INJECTORS AND WAS MOST LIKELY SOME OTHER MINOR ISSUE. A FRIEND OF MY WHO ALSO HAD A 2013 DODGE DURANGO HAD THE SAME ISSUE AND WAS REIMBURSED FOR THE REPAIR.
STALLS OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WHILE DRIVING TURN IT BACK ON SOMETIMES IT COMES ON SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO KEEP TRYING TO GET IT TO START! ALSO STALLS OUT ON THE FREEWAY WHILE DRIVING
THERE HAS BEEN A RECALL ON THIS CAR FOR A FUEL PUMP RELAY THAT CAUSES STALLING. I'VE HAD THE STALLING PROBLEM FROM THE DAY I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE. I CALLED TO HAVE THE DEFECTIVE COMPONENT(S) REPLACED BACK IN DECEMBER OF 2019. IT'S AUG. 2020 NOW. I CALLED MY DEALER AND GOT THE SAME RESPONSE ' PARTS AREN'T AVAILABLE YET FOR THE RECALL'. 9 MONTHS SINCE WE WERE NOTIFIED OF THE RECALL. FAR FROM WHAT ANYONE WOULD CONSIDER 'A TIMELY REMEDY'.
ENGINE PRODUCES TICKING SOUND FROM DRIVER SIDE ENGINE HEAD. SUSPECTED ISSUE IS ROCKER ARM OR LIFTER. TICKING SOUND OCCURS AT IDLE ALL THE WAY THROUGH REV RANGE, BUT SEEMS TO DISSIPATE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS UNDER LOAD. IF NOT FIXED VEHICLE ENGINE WILL EXPIRE.
WHILE IN MOTION (DRIVE) ON A CITY STREET AND EXPRESSWAY THE VEHICLE HAS SHUT OFF ON ME FOUR DIFFERENT TIMES ON 11/24/2019 ONE WEEK AFTER BECOMING THE NEW OWNER. THE VEHICLE ALSO STALLED WHEN TURNING THE KEY FOB TO START THE VEHICLE NUMEROUS TIMES AFTER SHUTTING OFF. THE KEY FOB WHICH TURNS THE VEHICLE ON AND OFF AT THE SLIGHTEST TOUCH HAS ABRUPTLY TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF WHILE THE CAR IS IN DRIVE.

MY CAR STALLED ON THE HIGHWAY AND EVENTUALLY WOULD NOT START. NOV 18TH I WAS MADE AWARE OF A RECALL RO9 WHICH CAUSED THE ISSUE . I WAITED FOR THE BACKORDERED PART UNIT THE 29TH INCURRING RENTAL CAR COSTS. NOV 14TH ANOTHER RECALL WAS ISSUES V62 FOR SAME PROBLEM. RELATED TO THE PAR THEY INSTALLED ON BY CAR THE 29TH. I ALSO CANNOT BE REIMBURSED FOR MY RENTAL UNTIL THE PAR FOR THE FIRST RECALL IS AVAILABLE AND IT IS UNDER DEVELOPMENT . I AM FORCED TO DRIVE A UNSAFE CAR WITH THE POTENTIAL TO CUT OUT ON THE HIGHWAY WITH NO REMEDY AND NO ETA ON THAT FIX. MY LAST STALL ON THE HIGHWAY ALMOST CAUSED A SERIOUS INJURY. THE CONTACT CONTINUED TO DRIVE AND WAS CHASED DOWN BY ANOTHER MOTORIST WHO INFORMED HER THAT FLAMES WERE UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT QUICKLY STOPPED THE VEHICLE AND SHE AND THE PASSENGER EXITED SAFELY. THE CONTACT NOTICED FIRE UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. BOTH POLICE AND FIRE REPORTS WERE FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW LOT. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
3.6L PENTASTAR ENGINE IS TICKING, FROM PERSONAL RESEARCH OF THE NOISE I'VE FOUND MANY PEOPLE WHO HAVE THIS ENGINE HAVE EXPERIENCED IT. PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD IT FIXED SAY ITS ROCKER ARM BEARING FAILING. IT OCCURS WHILE THE VEHICLE IS RUNNING, BE IT AT IDLE OR THROUGHOUT THE REV RANGE, UNDER LOAD OR STATIONARY.

ALL LIGHT ON CLUSTER COME ON SHOWING TIRE PRESSURE SYSTEM AND BLIND SPOT SYSTEM NEED SERVICE. I TOOK CAR TO DEALER MULTIPLE TIMES AND THEY FIND NO PROBLEMS. WHEN THIS PROBLEM OCCURS, ALL FUNCTIONS IN VEHICLE STOP WORKING.
THE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER HAS BROKEN AT THE SEAMS AND LEAKED TWICE ON MY VEHICLE, RESULTING IN A LOSS OF TRANSMISSION FLUID, CAUSING THE VEHICLE NOT TO MOVE AND TO POTENTIALLY BE A FIRE HAZARD. THIS FIRST HAPPENED IN 2017 AND I HAD THE UNIT REPLACED; THEN HAPPENED AGAIN IN 2019. MUST BE A DEFECT. NOW I NO LONGER FEEL SAFE DRIVING THE CAR.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND OPENED CASE NUMBER: 68047300. THE MANUFACTURER CONTACTED THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE RECALL PART WAS REPLACED AND THE ECM BOARD WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 88,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, PARKED IN A GARAGE OVERNIGHT WHEN THE HEAD RESTRAINT PARTIALLY DEPLOYED. UPON TOUCHING THE HEADREST TO INVESTIGATE THE HEAD RESTRAINT FULLY DEPLOYED.
FOR WEEKS MY 2013 DURANGO SXT WON'T LOCK WHEN PRESSING THE KEY FOB AND SOMETIMES WHEN I UNLOCK THE CAR, THE HORN GOES OFF SEVERAL TIMES, AS IF I'M LOCKING THE CAR. I'VE REPLACED THE BATTERY IN THE FOB, SO NOT SURE WHY IT'S NOT WORKING PROPERLY. MY LIFTGATE LOCK STOPPED WORKING FOR A MONTH AND RECENTLY STARTED WORKING. MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON AND THE CAR RANDOMLY HAS A DELAY IN STARTING. I'M READING THAT IT COULD BE A FUEL PUMP RELAY AND THE 2013 DURANGO HAS A RECALL FOR IT, BUT MY VIN ISN'T INCLUDED IN THE RECALL EVEN THOUGH IT HAD A TIPM RECALL THAT WAS REPAIRED, WHICH IS CLOSELY ASSOCIATED WITH THE FUEL PUMP RELAY RECALL.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT AN OIL LEAK OCCURRED AFTERWARDS. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER, BUT WAS UNABLE TO HAVE THE VEHICLE REPAIRED. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE LOST POWER AND SEIZED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GINN CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE (5190 US-278, COVINGTON, GA 30014, (770) 679-2202) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE OIL FILTER WAS FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO CALL NHTSA TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 227,118.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2013 DODGE DURANGO. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH IN THE RAIN, THE VEHICLE SEEMED TO SUDDENLY LOSE POWER AND THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SKID ON THE ROAD. THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO REGAIN CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STRUCK AND WENT OVER A GUARDRAIL. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. AFTER THE CRASH, ALL THE INSTRUMENT PANEL INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND DEEMED TOTALED. THE DRIVER INJURED HER HEAD, ONE PASSENGER INJURED THEIR HEAD AND NOSE, AND THE OTHER REAR PASSENGER INJURED HER NECK. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS RECEIVED. I WAS DRIVING AND BRAKING FOR A STOP SIGN AND THE VEHICLE STARTED TO JOLT. I PULLED IN TO THE GARAGE AND THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF ON ITS OWN. I WENT TO RESTART IT AND IT WOULD TURN OVER BUT WOULD NOT START. I TRIED AGAIN LATER THAT NIGHT, AND IT STARTED AGAIN.
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD THE PASSENGER SIDE REST DEPLOYED HITTING MY WIFE IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD. ON FURTHER INSPECTION THE PLASTIC HOLDING THE LATCH HAD BROKEN.
FOR THE PAST 2 WEEKS MY DURANGO HAS BEEN SHUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING LATEST INCIDENT 60MPH ON THE HIGHWAY. THE VEHICLE HAS RESTARTED EACH TIME SO FAR. I LOOKED UP A RECALL 15V115000, 14V-530. THESE BOTH STATE THEY ARE NOT FOR MY VEHICLE BY VIN, HOWEVER BY YEAR IT IS.

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO RUSSELL WESTBROOK CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM OF VAN NUYS (LOCATED AT 6110 VAN NUYS BLVD, VAN NUYS, CA 91401, 818-868-5777) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE EXHAUST VALVE WAS NOT PLACED PROPERLY ON THE HEAD AND THE HEAD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND CONTACTED THE DEALER; HOWEVER, THE FINAL DECISION WAS THAT THE REPAIR WAS THE CONTACT'S OBLIGATION. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
THE VEHICLE HAS SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING A FEW TIMES. HAD TO START IT BACK UP. ONCE, IT SHUT OFF THEN TURNED RIGHT BACK ON. NO LIGHTS ON, WARNINGS NOTHING.
PRIOR A FEW YEARS AGO RECALL ON FUEL PUMP RELAY SAME PROBLEM AGAIN. ALREADY FILED REPORT IN SYSTEM. TRUCK SHUT DOWN AT TRAFFIC LIGHT SYSTEM FAILURE. I WAS STOPPED AT THE LIGHT.
I HAD COME TO A COMPLETE STOP AT THE TRAFFIC LIGHT ON HHWY 138 ON JONESBORO ROAD IN UNION CITY, GA. ON OCT. 4, 2019 VEHICLE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM SHUTDOWN IN FRONT OF A BUSY INTERSECTION. THIS IS THE SECOND OCCURRENCE LAST REPORT FILED IN JULY 2019 IN MOBILE, AL. I HAD TO DIRECT TRAFFIC AWAY FROM TURN LANE TO KEEP FROM GETTING HIT I WAS TRAVELING ALONE THAT DAY UNTIL THE POLICE GOT THERE. UNION CITY POLICE DEPT WAS CALLED TO HELP PUSH ME OUT THE STREET TO THE NEAREST PARKING LOT.

DRIVING THE VEHICLE ON HIGHWAY WHEN THE PASSENGER SIDE HEADREST POPPED OPEN. AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY.
MY VEHICLE WILL SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING, SOMETIMES IT WILL START RIGHT BAVK UP AND SOMETIMES IT WON'T. WIFE DROVE VEHICLE WITH NO ISSUE, AND AFTER ARRIVING HOME - WITH 3 CHILDREN IN THE VEHICLE; WHILE STATIONARY (IN PARK) & VEHICLE RUNNING (WHILE KIDS FINISHING WATCHING A VIDEO), SHE HEARD A 'TERRIBLE SQUEELING SOUND'; SHE SEQUENTIALLY CLOSED SUNROOF, TURNED OFF A/C, AND LOWERED SOUND LEVEL OF STEREO - SOUND PERSISTED. SHE TURNED CAR OFF, THEN BACK ON - SMOKE BEGAN TO BELLOW OUT OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. A FIRE EXTINGUISHER WAS DISCHARGED THROUGH GRILL AREA BY A FAMILY MEMBER (WHO IS A CERTIFIED EMT/FIRE FIGHTER, IF THAT MATTERS), WHO DID NOT WANT TO OPEN THE HOOD. I ARRIVED ~15 MINUTES LATER, AND OPENED THE HOOD AND THE ALTERNATOR WAS CLEARLY SMOKING, AND THE SERPENTINE BELT WAS DISCOLORED ON THE ALTERNATOR PULLEY. CALLED AUTO SERVICE FOR TOW. WHEN WRECKER ARRIVED, I ATTEMPTED TO PUT CAR IN NEUTRAL, BUT NO ACTUATION OF THE SHIFTER WOULD WORK - AS NO POWER; TOW SERVICE HAD TO USE THE BYPASS. VEHICLE TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP. I DID SOME CURSORY RESEARCH ON THIS PHENOMENON, FOUND AN OUTSTANDING RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE (T36); I CALLED FOLLOWING DAY TO MAKE RECALL CLAIM. FCA "SPECIAL INVESTIGATOR" DID AN INVESTIGATION ON 9/10, I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM - AND I HAVE CALLED NO FEWER THAN 4 TIMES INQUIRING. DEALERSHIP SERVICE MANAGER INFORMED ME LATE YESTERDAY HE RECEIVED APPROVAL TO PERFORM WORK ON THE TWO (2) OUTSTANDING RECALLS ON VEHICLE, BUT NOT COVERING DAMAGE DUE TO THE FIRE - AT LEAST THAT IS WHAT WAS RELAYED TO ME.
VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY IN MY DRIVEWAY, I WAS SITTING IN THE DRIVER SEAT. VEHICLE WAS RUNNING, BUT IN "PARK", DRIVER'S DOOR OPEN. MY HUSBAND REACHED IN FROM OUTSIDE TO HUG ME GOODBYE, AND THE DRIVER'S SIDE HEADREST POPPED OPEN. POWERFUL ENOUGH TO MOVE MY HEAD FORWARD, BUT NOT POWERFUL ENOUGH TO CAUSE PAIN OR INJURY. WE TRIED TO PUT IT BACK TOGETHER (NOT REALIZING THAT THERE WAS AN AIRBAG IN THERE), AND WERE UNSUCCESSFUL. I DROVE APPROXIMATELY 4 MILES TO WORK AFTERWARDS, ADJUSTING THE SEAT A BIT SO AS NOT TO IMPEDE MY POSTURE.

2013 DODGE DURANGO WAS SHOWING RUST BUBBLES ON PASSENGER DOOR. VEHICLE WAS IN THE BODY SHOP FOR ACCIDENT REPAIR AND WE ASKED FOR RUST SPOTS TO BE REVIEWED. AUTOBODY MANAGER CONFIRMED THAT RUST IS CORRODING THE DOOR FROM THE INSIDE OUT AND WATER IS ENTERING THROUGH A DEFECT IN THE DOOR HANDLE. THERE IS A CLEAR WATER MARK LINE VISIBLE FROM THE INSIDE DOOR SKIN SHOWING FROM THE DOOR HANDLE TO THE HEAVILY RUSTED AREA. THERE IS DEFECT IN THE HANDLE THAT NEEDS TO CORRECTED. OUR CAR HAS BEEN BEEN GARAGED AND VERY WELL MAINTAINED.
