TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 17V435000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) AND 17V572000 (SERVICE BRAKES, SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. PAULDING CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (1246 OLD GRIFFIN RD, DALLAS, GEORGIA 30157) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
I TRAVELED ABOUT 45 MINUTES AWAY FROM MY HOME STOPPED. GOT BACK IN TO TRAVEL BACK HOME AND THE WOULD NOT CRANK. THE STARTER ENGAGED BUT IT DID NOT START. AFTER A FEW MINUTES IT STARTED. AFTER GETTING HOME I WENT TO O'REILLY'S TO GET THE BATTERY CHECK AND SEE IF THERE WAS ANY CODES. EVERY THERE CHECK THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. IT WAS THE SAME PROBLEM. I RECEIVED NOT WARNING AT ALL THIS WAS ABOUT TO HAPPEN.
MY WIFE AND I WERE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WHEN THE PASSENGER SIDE ACTIVE HEADREST DEPLOYED. WHEN IT DEPLOYED IT HIT HER IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD AND GAVE HER WHIPLASH. I RESEARCHED IT ONLINE AND IT APPEARS THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH DODGE VEHICLES. I ATTEMPTED TO RESET THE SPRING LOADED ACTIVE HEADREST TO DISCOVER THAT THE REASON IT HAD DEPLOYED IS BECAUSE THE PLASTIC RETAINING PIN RECEIVER WAS BROKEN. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT DODGE (CASE#32447405) WITH NO RESOLVE. I FEEL LIKE THE HEADREST SHOULD CERTAINLY BE RECALLED. IF AN OLDER PERSON HAD BEEN HIT IN THE HEAD OR IF IT WERE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE VEHICLE IT MAY HAVE CAUSED SERIOUS INJURY, A CRASH, OR DEATH. I CAN EMAIL PHOTOS UPON YOUR REQUEST. YOUR PURSUIT OF THIS MATTER WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
ALTERNATOR CAUGHT ON FIRE, IMPACTING MY BATTERY AND AFTER GETTING THIS FIXED I AM STILL HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE FAILING AFTER I JUST GOT IT OUT OF THE SERVICE CENTER. THE FIRST TIME THE ALTERNATOR CAUGHT ON FIRE IT WAS IN IDLE, STATIONARY. THE SECOND ALTERCATION AFTER PICKING IT UP FROM THE DEALERSHIP IT HAD INTERIOR/EXTERIOR LIGHTS GOING ON AND OFF ALONG WITH MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS OPERATING WHILE OFF. I HAVE HAD A NUMBER OF PROBLEMS SINCE PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE AND BELIEVE I WAS SOLD A LEMON. I WOULD LIKE TO GET THIS ADDRESSED ASAP! THANKS MUCH.
DRIVING DOWN THE STREET UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS WHEN BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON AND A STRONG BURNING SMELL APPEARED. PULLED OVER TO FIND HEAVY SMOKE COMING FROM THE ENGINE--APPEARED TO BE THE ALTERNATOR BURNING. TOOK THE CAR IMMEDIATELY TO A LOCAL GARAGE DOWN THE BLOCK FROM INCIDENT. THEY STARTED THE CAR AND VERIFIED THE ALTERNATOR HAD FAILED,WAS SMOKING, AND ABOUT TO CATCH FIRE. ALL GAUGES WERE MISREADING. ALTERNATOR WAS REPLACED BUT THE DASH WARNING LIGHTS AND ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS ARE NO LONGER WORKING. (SPEEDOMETER, GAUGES, WARNING LIGHTS, RADIO...) NOTIFIED DODGE WITH NO RESOLUTION TO THIS POINT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE DURANGO. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, WAITED A FEW MINUTES, AND WAS ABLE TO RESUME DRIVING. THE FAILURE RECURRED TWICE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BIG M CHRYSLER DEALER (LOCATED ON 1010 ELIZABETH ST, NICHOLASVILLE, KY 40356) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED, BUT A FAILURE CODE COULD NOT BE FOUND. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. IN ADDITION, WHEN THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO START THE VEHICLE, IT FAILED TO START. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL PUMP RELAY WAS REPLACED PER AN UNKNOWN RECALL IN AUGUST OF 2015. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000.
JUNE 4 2017WHILE DRIVING MY 2013 DODGE DURANGO 55200 MILES WE EXPERIENCED 100%ELECTRICAL FAILURE THAT CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO SHUT DOWN WHILE OPERATING ON A CITY STREET.. ENGINE FAILURE, LOSS OF BRAKES, COOLING SYSTEM AND RADIO SHIRT OFF AND WIPERS CAME ON AS VEHICLE DIED. SMOKE ENTERED THE CABIN AND WE WERE UNABLE TO OPERATE WINDOWS AND DOOR LOCKS. OUR TODDLERS WERE IN THE 2ND AND 3RD ROW SEATING. WE HAD TO CLIMB OVER THE FRONT SEATS TO GET THE KIDS OUT SAFELY. THE 180 AMP ALTERNATOR FAILED EXACTLY AS THE 160 AMPS SAFETY RECALL HAVE BEEN RECALLED. THE ALTERNATOR MELTED AND MELTED THE CONNECTOR CABLE AND DAMAGED THE BATTERY AND PCM. WE CONTACTED FCA AND THE REFUSED TO APPLY THE 160 AMP SAFETY RECALL TO OUR VEHICLE
ALL ELECTRIC KEEPS FADING IN AND OUT, DOESN'T MATTER WHAT WHERE OR HOW WE ARE DRIVING IT JUST RANDOMLY FADES IN AND OUT AND HAS COMPLETELY SHUT OFF A FEW TIMES
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE LOSS MOTIVE POWER AND STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FIVE STAR CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM OF WARNER ROBINS LOCATED AT 2817 WATSON BLVD, WARNER ROBINS, GA 31088, WHERE THE MECHANIC REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP. THE FAILURE RECURRED WITH THE CONTACT NOT BEING ABLE TO START THE VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BACK TO THE SAME DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL PUMP RELAY WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE FUEL PUMP RELAY WAS REPLACED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE CONTACT WAS THEN INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V813000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE RECALL REPAIR WAS NOT YET AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER HAD EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND THE CONTACT WAS PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
VEHICLE STATIONARY, INTERMITTENTLY NOT STARTING WHEN PUSH BUTTON HAS BEEN PRESSED, WE CAN HEAR STARTER ATTEMPTING TO ENGAGE BUT WILL NOT START. SOMETIMES THE STARTER CONTINUOUSLY RUNS FOR ABOUT 10 SECONDS ATTEMPTING TO START THE CAR AND THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THE STARTER, IS YOU HAVE TO LEAVE THE VEHICLE AND LOCK THE CAR W/KEY FOB. HAS DONE THIS INTERMITTENTLY SINCE JULY OF 2017. THE VEHICLE HAS HAD THE FUEL PUMP RELAY REPLACED DUE RECALL ON 09/2015. THE INTERMITTENT NON STARTING ISSUE HAS OCCURRED A TOTAL OF 12+ TIMES. ON TWO OF THE OCCURANCES THE PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN VIDEO TAPED. HAD THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP TWO DIFFERENT TIMES AND BOTH TIMES THEY STATE THAT THEY COULD NOT GET THE VEHICLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM NOR WERE THERE ANY CODES IN THE SYSTEM, THEREFORE, THEY COULD NOT RESOLVE THE MATTER. WHEN WE TRIED TO SHOW THEM THE VIDEOS THEY ADVISED THAT THEY HAD NO INTEREST IN VIEWING THEM. THEY ALSO ADVISED SEVERAL TIMES THAT WITHOUT A DUPLICATION OF THE ISSUE, THAT THEY COULD DO NOTHING TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. DEALERSHIP CONTINUES TO MAINTAIN THAT WE ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT THEY KNOW OF THAT IS HAVING THIS PARTICULAR ISSUE.
2013 DURANGO AWD CREW- WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE AROUND 40 MPH. AVOIDANCE MANEUVER REQUIRED HEAVY BREAKING (COULD FEEL ABS WORKING). UPON MOVING THE VEHICLE AGAIN FROM A STANDSTILL, NOTED A STRONG ODOR. THOUGHT IT MIGHT JUST BE THE BRAKES. DROVE LESS THAN A MILE AND PARKED VEHICLE FOR ABOUT 90 MINUTES. STARTED VEHICLE AGAIN AND WITHIN 5 MINUTES (NEVER GETTING THE VEHICLE ABOVE 40MPH) NOTED THE STRONG ODOR AGAIN. SOON AFTER THE BATTERY ICON APPEARED ON THE CONSOLE. DROVE ANOTHER MILE AND STOPPED THE VEHICLE TO INVESTIGATE. OTHER THAN THE ODOR, NOTHING ELSE WAS FOUND. COULD NOT LOCATE SPECIFIC LOCATION OF ODOR. DECIDED TO TAKE VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP ABOUT 6 MILES AWAY. VEHICLE STARTED W/O THE BATTERY ICON BUT WITHIN A MILE IT REAPPEARED. ODOR PRESENT THE WHOLE TIME BUT NO SMOKE. SUNDAY--DEALERSHIP WAS CLOSED. ON MONDAY, DEALERSHIP CALLED TO SAY OUR ALTERNATOR WAS FRIED AND WE NEEDED A NEW ONE.
DRIVER AND PASSENGER STOPPED AT REST AREA ON INTERSTATE I-75. WHEN RETURNING TO VEHICLE, DRIVER AND PASSENGER CONNECTED SEATBELTS. DRIVER CHECKED SURROUNDINGS FOR CLEARANCE BEFORE PUTTING DURANGO IN REVERSE, WITH FOOT ON BRAKE TO SLOWLY EXIT PARKING SPACE. WHILE IN REVERSE TURN, VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED AT A VERY HIGH SPEED. A CHEVY CRUZE PARKED BEHIND WAS STUCK(REAR TRUNK AREA). DRIVER, REALIZING VEHICLE WAS NOT STOPPING LOOKED INTO REAR VIEW MIRROR TO SEARCH FOR OPEN, SAFE AREA. DRIVER AIMED FOR EMPTY SPACE BETWEEN CRUZE AND A CHEVY EQUINOX. DURANGO HOPPED CURB, BOUNCING DOWN ON FRONT END OF EQUINOX, DAMAGING AND TEARING OFF FRONT BUMPER. AT SOME POINT DRIVER PUT BOTH FEET FIRMLY ON BRAKE PEDAL. VEHICLE CONTINUED ONTO GRASS, DIGGING INTO GRASSY AREA, FINALLY STOPPING BEFORE COLLIDING INTO TREES WHICH WERE BEHIND. IN ADDITION TO DAMAGE TO TWO OTHER VEHICLES, THE DURANGO SUSTAINED REAR END DAMAGE.. LEFT REAR TIRE WAS ON THE GROUND SIDEWAYS WITH TIRE DETACHED FROM RIM. STILL NOT SURE IF DURANGO FINALLY RESPONDED TO BRAKES OR IF TIRE SNAPPING OFF SUSPENSION IS WHAT FINALLY STOPPED VEHICLE. THIS ALL OCCURRED WITHIN SECONDS. STATE POLICE WERE SUMMONED, REPORT TAKEN. DURANGO REMOVED FROM SCENE VIA FLAT BED TOW TRUCK. DAMAGE ESTIMATES AND POLICE REPORT ARE PENDING AT THIS TIME.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ALTERNATOR CAUSED THE BATTERY AND THE COMPUTER SYSTEM TO FAIL. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V634000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 93,000.
AFTER I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE I WAS COMING FROM THE BANK AND AS I PRESS THE GAS PEDAL TO GO FORWARD THE VEHICLE WOULDN'T DRIVE FORWARD. I CALLED THE DEALER SHIP AND I WAS TOLD THAT NOTHING WAS DETECTED SO I CONTINUE TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE AND AGAIN I EXPERIENCE THE SAME PROBLEM I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO CROWN DODGE AND I HEAR THE SAME THING AS BEFORE. NOW THE VEHICLE SHUT DOWN WHEN I AM DRIVING AND I HAVE TO PUT IT IN NURTURE TO CRANK IT BACK UP I ALSO CALL THE HEADQUARTERS ABOUT THIS VEHICLE I BROUGHT IT BRAND NEW .I WAS ON THE ROAD WHEN ALL THIS HAPPENED. IN THE COUNTRY ALSO ON CITY STREETS
THE ACTIVE HEADREST/HEAD RESTRAINT DEPLOYED WHILE DRIVING, HITTING MY WIFE IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD. SHE WAS TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 30-35MPH. THIS CAUGHT HER OFF GUARD BUT FORTUNATELY DID NOT AFFECT HER DRIVING AND SHE MAINTAINED CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. AFTER INSPECTING THE HEAD RESTRAINT I NOTICE THE PLASTIC THAT APPARENTLY HOLDS A METAL ROD BROKE ALLOWING THE HEAD RESTRAINT TO DEPLOY. IN RESEARCHING THE ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINT ISSUES, I RAN ACROSS A RECALL FOR CHRYLSER BUT IT DID NOT PERTAIN TO MY MAKE AND MODEL AND IT WAS FOR POSSIBLE NON DEPLOYMENT DURING REAR END COLLISION. SAFETY RECALL N38 /NHTSA 13V-282 ACTIVE HEAD RESTRAINTS
I CAME OUT OF A STORE AND UPON GETTING IN MY DURANGO I STARTED IT AND NOTICED SMOKE AND SMELLED A BURNING ELECTRICAL SMELL. THE HOOD WOULDN'T OPEN BECAUSE IT HAD ALREADY BURNED THROUGH THE CABLE THAT ATTACHES THE HOOD RELEASE. WITHIN A FEW SECONDS THE WHOLE FRONT END WAS ON FIRE. I CALLED THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND THEY HAD IT PUT OUT PRETTY QUICKLY. I'VE ONLY HAD THE VEHICLE FOR EXACTLY A YEAR ALMOST TO THE DAY. THE ONLY PROBLEM WE'VE HAD WITH IT IS THE DRIVER'S SIDE HEADLIGHT WENT OUT. WE HAD IT REPLACED AND IT WENT OUT AGAIN WITHIN A COUPLE OF WEEKS SO WE HAD IT CHANGED AGAIN. I DID NOTICE THAT ONE HEADLIGHT WAS BRIGHTER THAN THE OTHER BUT THOUGHT IT WAS JUST DIFFERENT BULBS. APPARENTLY IT WASN'T. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN A PARKING LOT NEXT TO A WHOLE CAGE FULL OF PROPANE TANKS NOW THAT'S PRETTY SCARY.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WITH MY WIFE AND KIDS THE TRUCK HAD HARD SHIFT THEN WENT INTO NEUTRAL. THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. MY WIFE PANICKED BUT I WAS ABLE TO GET HER TO PULL ACROSS THE THREE LANES OF TRAFFIC ON THE HIGHWAY TO THE SHOULDER. ONCE STOPPED WE MANUALLY SHIFTER TO PARK THEN TURNED OFF THE CAR LET IT SIT FOR A FEW MINUTES. WE RESTARTED THE CAR AND EVERYTHING APPEARED TO BE WORKING FINE EXCEPT FOR THE SERVICE LIGHT WHICH WAS ON. THE ERROR CODE WAS A P0730. INCORRECT DRIVE SHIFT RATIO. THE TRANSMISSION IS AUTOMATIC. THERE ARE A LOT OF THREADS ABOUT THIS ISSUE ON MULTIPLE DODGE VEHICLES UP TO 2015. IT APPEARS TO BE ON THE 5 SPEED. I CALLED DODGE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND AM BRINGING THE VEHICLE INTO THE DEALER. I ALSO HAD DODGE CUSTOMER SERVICE OPEN A ESCALATED TICKET FOR THE ISSUE. VEHICLE HAS A LITTLE OVER 50,000 MILES AT THE TIME.
WOULD LIKE TO FILE A COMPLAINT DUE TO MY 2013 DODGE DURANGO WAS IN A TRAFFIC ACCIDENT WHILE IN MOTION ON A STATE ROUTE AND SUSTAINED HEAVY FRONT IN DAMAGE AND NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED.
ICY CONDITIONS, AROUND DUSK. BREAKING MECHANISM FAILED TO WORK. GOT INTO A CAR ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF IT. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THAT THE BOOSTER RECALL HAS HAPPENED. HAD TO GO OUT OF POCKET TO FIX VEHICLE AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED COMPENSATION FOR THE DAMAGES.
THE ALTERNATOR RECENTLY FAILED WITH SYMPTOMS IDENTICAL TO THOSE DESCRIBED IN DODGE'S P60 RECALL NOTICE, I.E. ALL ELECTRICAL POWER SHUT-OFF WITHOUT WARNING WHILE DRIVING. FORTUNATELY MY SON WAS ABLE TO SAFELY PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. DESPITE THIS FAILURE WHICH IS VERY SIMILAR TO THAT DESCRIBED IN THE P60 RECALL NOTICE DODGE SAYS IT IS NOT COVERED. DODGE SHOULD EXPAND THE NUMBER OF VEHICLES SUBJECT TO THIS PARTICULAR RECALL. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A VERY SERIOUS EVENT IF IT HAD HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING ON A BUSY FREEWAY.

THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY SHIFTED OUT OF PARK INTO DRIVE ON AN INCLINE, AND REVERSED DOWN THE DRIVEWAY INTO A NEIGHBOR'S GARAGE AND BRICKS. THE INSURANCE COMPANY WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO SHIFT THE GEAR INTO PARK. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE SERVICE BATTERY WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME. WHILE DRIVING MY CAR SURGES AT TIMES. I CAN LOSE POWER AT ANY GIVEN SPEED AND THEN SUDDENLY MY CAR WILL JERK FAST. SOMETIMES WHEN DRIVING SLOW TO GO AROUND A ROUNDABOUT IT WILL JUST LOSE POWER AND BARELY GO. WHILE AT A STOP BUT IN DRIVE, THE MOTOR WILL VIBRATE. THIS HAS BEEN ONGOING SINCE I PURCHASED MY DURANGO. THE IGNITION KEY REPEATEDLY LOSES CONTACT WHILE THE ENGINE IS RUNNING. WHEN STARTING THE ENGINE IT WILL DIE REPEATEDLY IF YOU DO NOT LIFT UP ON THE KEY WHILE IT IS IN THE IGNITION. ALSO, THE CAR WILL SHUT OFF AS YOU DRIVE DOWN THE ROAD WITHOUT ANY WARNING. IT LOSES ALL POWER INCLUDING STEERING AND BRAKES. AGAIN, IF YOU PUSH UP ON THE KEY IT WILL RESTART ITSELF AND CONTINUE ON.
AC CONDENSER/ TRANSMISSION FLUID COOLER FAILED AT 49,000 MILES CAUSING TRANSMISSION FLUID TO LEAK OUT ON RIGHT UPPER SIDE CAUSING TRANSMISSION TO NOT SHIFT DURING DRIVING OPERATION. LOOSING CONTROL OF ACCELERATION IN THE HIGHWAY. THERE WAS A STRONG DOWN SHIFT CAUSING A STALL ON A MAIN HIGHWAY.
I HEAR A VERY LOUD KNOCKING NOISE WHEN I ACCELERATE, I THOUGHT IT WAS COMING FROM THE FRONT WINDOW WHICH I HAD REPLACED AND IT CONTINUES TO MAKE THE LOUD NOISE WHEN YOU REACH LIKE 50 MPH AND SOMETIMES EVEN LESS.

I WAS VERY DISSAPOINTED IN THE CAR OVERALL, I HAD THREE PROBLEMS IN ABOUT A MONTH WITH MY KIDS IN THE CAR ALL THREE TIMES.

I BELIEVE THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE IS THE PROBLEM. IT WILL NOT START SOMETIMES AND THEN WILL NOT STAY RUNNING WHEN IT DOES. CRANKS AND DIES, ACTS LIKE STARTER JUST KEEPS TURNING OVER AND OVER AFTER HITTING IGNITION BUTTON. WE HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM FOR A FEW WEEKS AND IT KEEPS GETTING WORSE. MY CAR WOULDN'T START. IT WAS TOWED TO STAMPEDE DODGE NAMPA IDAHO AND THEY DIAGNOSED IT TO BE: FAILED FUEL PUMPS. I'VE NOT HAD MY VEHICLE FOR ALMOST A MONTH AND ITS $1500 REPAIR.
BACKING OUT OF GARAGE AND TH DRIVERS SIDE HEAD REST EJECTED. NO REAR IMPACT OR ANYTHING. IT HIT ME IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD AND SCARED ME TO DEATH. TOOK THE CAR BY THE DODGE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID IT WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY AND THEY ZIP TIED IT TOGETHER.
THIS VEHICLE WAS RECALLED DUE TO A PROBLEM WITH THE FUEL PUMP RELAY WHICH IS MOUNTED ON THE ECU BOARD. WE HAD THE REPAIR MADE IN AUGUST OF 2015. ABOUT 4 MONTHS AFTER THE REPAIR WE BEGAN HAVING INTERMITTENT TIME STATUS THE ENGINE WOULD CRANK BUT FAIL TO START OR START AND RUN A FEW SECONDS AND THEN STOP. WE FOUND THAT IF YOU HOLD THE ACCELERATION PEDAL DOWN WHILE CRANKING THE ENGINE IT STARTS, SIMILAR TO THE DAYS WHEN YOU HAD A CARBURETATED ENGINE AND IT WAS FLOODED. SINCE THE PROBLEM OCCURS WHEN THE ENGINE IS OFF THERE IS ON ERROR CODE GENERATED SO THE DEALER HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. I HAD REQUESTED THE DETAILS OF WHAT MODIFICATIONS WERE MADE FOR THE RECALL BUT THE DEALER HAS NOT PROVIDED ME WITH THE INFORMATION.SINCE WE DID NOT HAVE THE PROBLEM PRIOR TO THE RECALL BEING PERFORMED WE FEEL IT IS A RESULT OF WHAT WAS DONE TO THE VEHICLE.
