BACK BRAKE LIGHT BAR HOLDING WATER. BURNED OUT A SECTION OF LIGHTS. FOUND IT STATIONARY. I HAVE SEEN A LOT OF COMPLAINS ABOUT THIS. RECALL SHOULD BE INITIATED!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 DODGE DURANGO. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO ENTER THE VEHICLE, THE DOOR FAILED TO UNLOCK. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE KEY FOB WAS IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE DOOR, BUT IT FAILED TO UNLOCK. THE CONTACT INFORMED THE POLICE OF THE FAILURE AND A CROWBAR HAD TO BE USED TO OPEN THE DOOR. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 59,000.
THE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT STOPPED WORKING. IT WILL NOT RETRACT OR ALLOW THE SEATBELT TO BE PULLED OUT. OUT OF NOWHERE, IT JUST STOPPED WORKING.
MY DODGE DURANGO REAR RACETRACK TAIL LIGHTS HAVE FILLED WITH WATER CONTINUOUSLY AND BLOWN THE LIGHTS IN THE ASSEMBLY, WHEN THEY ARE FLICKERING IT HAS GIVEN DRIVERS BEHIND ME A FALSE VISUAL THAT I WAS TURNING AND HAS CAUSED THEM TO TRY PASSING ME AND ALMOST CAUSED AT LEAST ONE ACCIDENT WITH MYSELF AND SON. IT IS VERY COSTLY TO REPLACE THE LIGHTS WHICH HAVE BEEN REPLACED 3 TIMES NOW. I HAVE SEEN MANY DURANGO IN MY AREA THE SAME WAY. EVENTUALLY THIS IS GOING TO CAUSE A SERIOUS IF NOT FATAL ACCIDENT. EVERYDAY BEFORE MY WIFE OR I LEAVES WITH THE TRUCK WE HAVE TO CHECK THE REAR LIGHTS AND DUE TO THE NEAR MISS WHEN THE ASSEMBLY FILLS UP WITH WATER WE DON'T DRIVE IT UNTIL THE LIGHTS ARE FIXED.
WE NOTICED WATER POOLING IN THE CENTER TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY ON THE PASSENGER SIDE ABOUT THREE MONTHS AGO. NOW THAT PORTION OF THE TAIL LIGHT STOPPED WORKING. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH, THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE.
PART # 68105583AF WAS LEAKING ENGINE OIL. THE OIL WAS COLLECTING BETWEEN THE HEADS. DEALER REPLACE THE PART BUT I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO GET IMFORMATION FROM DODGE IF THE PART HAS BEEN REDESIGNED OIL COLLECTING BETWEEN THE HEADS COULD CAUSE A FIRE THE OIL LEAKS WHEN THE ENGINE IS RUNNING
REAR LIFT GATE TAILIGHT HAS WATER IN IT FOR THE SECOND TIME IN TWO YEARS. THE ENTIRE LIGHT ASSEMBLY WAS REPLACED IN DEC 2016 AND HERE IS IS JUST OVER A YEAR LATER AND THE REPLACEMENT LIGHT THAT WAS REPLACED BY A CERTIFIED DODGE DEALER AND THE GASKET HAS FAILED AGAIN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT NOTICED WATER LEAKING INTO THE REAR TAIL LIGHTS OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE L.E.D. EXTERIOR LIGHTING FAILED TO ILLUMINATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FISK AUTO MALL (4599 FORT CAMPBELL BLVD, HOPKINSVILLE, KY), BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED SINCE IT WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,000.
THE DURANGOS HAVE A SERIOUS ISSUE WITH WATER SOAKING INTO THE LED RACE TRACK LIGHTING ON THE REAR LIGHTS. MINE IS FILLED WITH WATER AND KILLED MY LED BULBS.
CONDENSATION WAS SEEN FORMING ON INSIDE OF LIFT GATE TAIL LIGHT. THE NEXT DAY, WATER WAS FOUND POOLING INSIDE LIFT GATE TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY. TWO DAYS LATER, THE TAIL LIGHT ADJACENT TO THE POOLED WATER WENT OUT. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED OUTSIDE AND STATIONARY AT THE TIME OF DISCOVERY.
THE LIGHT ON THE REAR HATCH FILLS UP WITH MOISTURE AND THE LEDS THAT PROVIDE THE LIGHT SOURCE ARE BLOWING OUT.
MY TAIL LIGHT HAS A SMALL CRACK IN IT CAUSING IT TO LEAK IN WATER AND GO OUT. THIS ISSUE IS NOT COVERED UNDER MY WARRANTY HOWEVER, ITS A KNOWN ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE RECALLED TO FIX.
2014 DODGE DURANGO RT WATER GETTING IN TAIL LIGHTS. TAIL LIGHTS GOT ABOUT HALF FULL OF WATER DURING 2 DAYS OF RAIN. VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN DRIVEWAY. WATER WOULD SLOWLY DRAIN OUT WHEN BACK HATCH WAS OPENED.
REAR RUNNING TAILLIGHT ASSEMBLY IS NOT WATERPROOF, THIS ALLOWS WATER TO ENTER THE LED RUNNING LIGHTS. NOW THE RUNNING LIGHTS ARE STARTING TO BURN OUT AND ARE NOT LIT PROPERLY. THIS MAKES IT UNSAFE THE VEHICLE LESS VISIBLE AND UNSAFE FOR TRAVELS.
TAIL LIGHT FLOODED WITH WATER AND IT'S NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. 1100$ PART
TAIL LIGHT HAS WATER IN IT. MAY CAUSE ASSEMBLY TO FAIL.
THE REAR CENTER "RACETRACK' LIGHTS ARE TAKING ON LARGE AMOUNTS OF WATER. THE LEFT LOWER SIDE OF THE LIGHT PANEL IS NOW INOPERABLE AND LEAVES A DARK SPOT WHERE IT SHOULD BE ILLUMINATED. PROLONGED EXPOSURE TO MOISTURE WILL CONTINUE TO BURN OUT LIGHTS AND EVENTUALLY MAKE THE REAR LIGHTING INOPERABLE. THE VEHICLE HAS NO DAMAGE TO THE EXTERIOR.
UNDER NORMAL USE THE REAR TAIL LIGHT WAS FOUND TO HAVE AN INCH OF STANDING WATER. DURING THIS TIME THE LED TAIL LIGHT (RACE TRACK) SECTION(S) WE'RE NOT WORKING PROPERLY AND/OR OUT TOTALLY NOT PRODUCING LIGHT. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN.
REAR LIGHTS CRACKING AND FILLING WITH WATER. REAR RACETRACK LED LIGHTS HAVE FAILED, LICENCE PLATE LEDS FAILED, AND THERE ARE ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH TURN SIGNALS DUE TO THIS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT BOTH TAIL LIGHTS MALFUNCTIONED AND WOULD NOT PROPERLY ILLUMINATE. UPON INSPECTION, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT WATER HAD ACCUMULATED INSIDE BOTH TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLIES. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
REAR CENTER RACETRACK LED TAILLIGHT IS CRACKED FROM FACTORY. IT IS HOLDING RAIN WATER AND SEVERAL LED BULBS BURNT OUT AND BACKUP CAMERA QUIT WORKING. TO FIX YOU NEED TO PURCHASE THE COMPLETE UNIT WHICH IS NON SERVICEABLE ONLY REPLACE FOR $1000.00 PLUS DOLLARS .THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM I FOUND OUT FOR THE 14 AND 15 MODEL YEARS.
WHEN I REMOTE STARTED MY VEHICLE. I CAME OUTSIDE TO SMOKE ROLLING OUT OF MY BACK HATCH AREA. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATING THE RACETRACK TAIL LIGHT HAD CAUGHT FIRE.
THE TAIL LIGHTS ON THIS CAR KEEP GOING OUT BECAUSE THEY FILL UP WITH WATER. THE LICENSE PLATE LIGHTS GO OUT OFTEN AS WELL DUE TO WATER FILLING UP. ATTACHED IS A PICTURE WHERE YOU CAN SEE THE BOTTOM LEFT STARTING TO GO OUT AND NOW THE WHOLE LIGHT AND BOTH LICENSE PLATE LIGHTS ARE OUT A FEW DAYS LATER. THE LIGHT ASSEMBLY WAS REPLACED A YEAR AGO AT THE DODGE DEALERSHIP
WATER HAS POOLED UP IN THE REAR TRACK LIGHT AND SHORTED OUT THE LIGHTS IN THAT PARTICULAR AREA INCLUDING MY LICENSE PLATE LIGHT. AT ONE POINT THE WHOLE LED STRIP WENT OUT ON THE LIFT GATE. I DIDN'T KNOW IT HAPPENED UNTIL I SMELT A STRONG ELECTRICAL FIRE SMOKE SCENT AND STARTED LOOKING AROUND TO FIND THE SOURCE. THE DEALERSHIP STATES THERE ISN'T A CRACK BUT THE WATER IS GETTING IN AND THIS IS BECOMING A KNOW ISSUES WITH THESE VEHICLES.
THE LIGHT IS NOT SEALED PROPERLY THEREFORE WATER HAS GOTTEN INTO THE BOTTOM OF MY CENTER LED LIGHT ON THE TAIL GATE. IT HAS CAUSED BOTH LIGHTS ON EACH SIDE TO GO OUT. I AM WORRIED THAT THIS COULD POSSIBLY CAUSE AN ELECTRICAL FIRE WHILE DRIVING OR JUST IN GENERAL WHEN THE CAR IS ON. MY BACK UP CAMERA ALSO HAS SOME ISSUES AT TIMES AND I WONDER IF WATER GETTING INTO THE LIGHT HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS.
MY RACETRACK TAIL LAMP IS FILLED WITH WATER AND THE LIGHTS ARE STARTING TO NOT WORK
I OWN A 2014 DODGE DURANGO THAT HAS WATER POOLING IN THE CENTER TAIL LIGHT. I HAD IT REPLACED 1 YEAR AGO AND THE SAME PROBLEM AGAIN. STARTED COLLECTING WATER AND SHORTED OUT. IT IS AN EXPENSIVE PART COSTING ABOUT $1,000. CHRYSLER WILL NOT COVER THE COSTS OR ADMIT IT IS A QUALITY ISSUE, ALTHOUGH THEY ARE ON BACKORDER AND HARD TO GET. SEAMS LIKE THIS IS A PRETTY COMMON PROBLEM.
I PURCHASED A 2014 DODGE DURANGO 6 MONTHS AGO AND HAVE HAD MULTIPLE ISSUES, ALL ISSUES THAT I HAVE FOUND TO BE ALL TO COMMON BY SEARCHING THE ISSUE ONLINE. THE FOLLOWING ISSUES HAVE OCCURRED WITH MY VEHICLE ALONG WITH MANY OTHER SIMILAR CUSTOMERS HAVE EXPERIENCED: REAR HATCH TAIL LIGHT LEAKING WATER, GROUND WIRE UNDER HOOD CORRODES AND BRAKES OFF, REAR SUSPENSION MAKES WOBBLING NOISE WHEN GOING OVER BUMPS, AND REAR CLIMATE CONTROL DOES NOT HEAT PROPERLY. THESE ISSUES ARE VERY SERIOUS AND NEED TO BE ADDRESSED AND RECALLED BY THE MANUFACTURER BEFORE SERIOUS INJURY OCCURS.
VEHICLE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, WENT TO HAVE VEHICLE DIAGNOSIS COMPLETED BY SHOP AND IT WAS FOUND THAT HOUSING OIL FILTER IS DAMAGED WHICH LEAD TO OIL LEAK IT WAS FOUND THAT CHRYSLER ENGINE DESIGN OF HOUSING OIL FILTERS FOR 3.6L ENGINES HAVE BEEN POORLY MADE AN IT IS A COMMON ISSUE SERVICE BULLENTIN SB-10058301-5939 VERIFIES THIS ISSUE
2014 DODGE DURANGO LED REAR CENTER HATCH TAIL LIGHT. PART #MOPAR 68155950AJ. PLASTIC LIGHT ON HATCH, CRACKED OPEN, ALL THE WAY THROUGH TAIL LIGHT, FOR NO APPARENT REASON. NOW SECOND CRACK HAS BEGUN AN INCH TO THE LEFT OF FIRST CRACK, BUT NOT ALL THE WAY THROUGH YET. FIRST CRACK IS WIDE AND ALLOWS WATER IN WHEN IT RAINS, AND WHEN VEHICLE IS WASHED. VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT, AND I AM THE ONLY OWNER, AS I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE NEW. THIS IS A GARAGED VEHICLE. THIS IS A TERRIBLE SAFETY CONCERN, AS WATER IN TAIL LIGHT, CAUSES LED TAIL LIGHT TO FAIL. I REPORTED FACTORY ISSUE WITH TAIL LIGHT TO THE LOCAL DODGE DEALERSHIP, WHERE I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE. THEY SAID IT IS AN ISSUE, BUT NOT COVERED UNDER ANY WARRANTY, AND I WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL COSTS. UPON RESEARCHING ONLINE, I FOUND THIS ISSUE TO BE WIDESPREAD WITH ALL 2014 AND NEWER DODGE DURANGO MODELS. THIS FACTORY DEFAULT CAN CAUSE LOSS OF CENTER LED TAIL LIGHT, AND REDUCE VISIBILITY TO OTHER VEHICLES ON THE ROAD. ACCIDENTS MAY BE THE RESULT OF THIS FACTORY DEFECT. IT IS UNKNOWN WHEN THESE TWO CRACKS ORIGINALLY OCCURRED, AS THEY ARE NOT FULLY NOTICEABLE UPON A QUICK LOOK OR GLANCE. THE ONLY REASON I FOUND OUT THE TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY WAS CRACKED, WAS I NOTICED IT HAD AN INCH OF WATER INSIDE TAIL LIGHT.
REAR LEFT LICENSE PLATE LIGHT GETTING MOISTURE IN IT. FIRST ONE STOPPED WORKING. REPLACED WITH NEW ONE. NOW THIS ONE HAS WATER. NOT SURE WHY ONLY ONE IS GETTING WATER IN IT
THE CENTER LIGHTING PANEL ON THE LIFT GATE OF THE VEHICLE, IS TAKING ON WATER WHICH CAN AND WILL DAMAGE THE LED LIGHTING, AND COULD ALSO GENERATE AN ELECTRICAL SHORTAGE OR IN THE WORST CASE SCENARIO GENERATE AN ELECTRICAL FIRE.
THE RACETRACK LIGHT ON THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE WAS REPLACED IN 2017 DUE TO WATER SEEPING INSIDE THE LIGHT COMPONENT. LESS THAN ONE YEAR LATER, THE REPLACEMENT RACETRACK LIGHT HAS FILLED WITH WATER AND THE LIGHT HAS STOPPED WORKING.
THERE IS STANDING WATER IN MY REAR TAILLIGHT ASSEMBLY. THOUSANDS OF OTHER DURANGO OWNERS WITH THE SAME ASSEMBLY NATIONWIDE HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME ISSUE AND CHRYSLER REFUSES TO RECALL THE FAULTY PART. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AS IT HAS ALREADY BURNT OUT THE BULBS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE ASSEMBLY.
THE CENTER SECTION OF THE REAR TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY HAS WATER IN IT. A SEAL MUST HAVE FAILED. SOME OF THE LED LIGHT IS NON-FUNCTIONING.
DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT WILL NOT UNLATCH/LOCK. HAVE TO SIT IN MY CAR FOR 5 MINS. AT TIMES BEFORE IT WILL UNLOCK. AFRAID IF I WAS IN A ACCIDENT I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO GET OUT OF THE CAR.
WHILE MY WIFE WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY THE ACTIVE HEAD REST POP OUT, HITTING HER IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD. SHE WAS STARTLED, SHE THEN PULLED OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO SEE WHAT HAD HAPPENED
I'VE NOTICE THAT WHEN I'M DRIVING ON HIGHWAYS OR AROUND THE CITY, WIPERS COME ON BY ITSELF. THAT HAPPEN TWICE... SOMETIMES THE SUNROOF DON'T OPEN, WHEN THE SUNROOF OPENS DON'T WANT TO CLOSE SOMETIMES. WHEN I'M ON THE HIGHWAY CAN'T SEEM TO GET ENOUGH POWER TO CATCH UP WITH TRAFFIC, SEEMS LIKE THE TRANSMISSION IS ABOUT TO GIVE OUT. VERY LAGGY....THE NOTIFICATION FOR ENGINE/TRANS COMES OFF/ON AT TIMES. OTHER TO SOUND WEIRD BUT I BELIEVE SOMEONE HAS ACCESS REMOTELY TO VEHICLE. ALL THIS HAPPENS ON A DAILY OR EVERY FEW DAYS I'VE NOTICED.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE A LOCAL DEALER BOB BAKER CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM (5555 CAR COUNTRY DR., CARLSBAD, CA 92008) WHERE IT WAS ADVISED THAT THE OCR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V643000 (SEAT BELTS, AIR BAGS) AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 50,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT EXPERIENCED SEVERAL FAILURES WITHIN LESS THAN TWO WEEKS OF OWNING THE VEHICLE. THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL NOISE PROGRESSING FROM THE ELECTRIC CONTROL PANEL ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR AREA, THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER SHORTED OUT, VARIOUS WARNING GAUGES ILLUMINATED, THE EMBLEM FRACTURED FROM THE FRONT AREA OF THE VEHICLE, AND THE RADIO FAILED TO FUNCTION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. UCONNECT WAS CONTACTED PERTAINING TO THE FAILURES AND INDICATED THAT THE PREVIOUS OWNER REPORTED THE SAME FAILURES. UCONNECT SUGGESTED THAT A DEALER BE CONTACTED. THE DEALER (STEVENS CREEK CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM, 4100 STEVENS CREEK BLVD, SAN JOSE, CA 95129, (408) 248-1800) WAS CONTACTED. IN ADDITION, DARK SMOKE EMITTED FROM THE TAIL PIPE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
MY CAR PRESENTED A SAFETY RELATED DEFECT RECENTLY. I WAS DRIVING IN A CITY STREET TAKING MY KIDS TO SCHOOL WHEN A SIGN OF SERVICE BRAKES APPEARED IN THE SCREEN. THE BRAKES STOOPED WORKING PROPERLY AND I ALMOST HAD AN ACCIDENT PUTTING MY ENTIRE FAMILY IN A VERY UNSAFE CONDITION. WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE KENDALL DODGE DEALER THEY TOLD ME THAT THE CAR HAD HYDRAULIC POWER ASSIST PROBLEM OR BRAKE BOOSTER FAULTY. I PAID THE REPAIR OUT OF MY POCKET. LATER, I FOUND OUT THAT CHRYSLER HAD A RECALL IN 11/2017 FOR THE SAME PROBLEM I HAD HYDRAULIC: POWER ASSIST, RECALL NUMBER T-59. I NEED TO INCLUDE MY CAR IN THE LIST OF THE CARS AFFECTED BY THIS ISSUE. WHEN I CALLED CHRYSLER THEY TOLD TO REPORTED IT TO YOU SO MY CAR CAN BE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL LIST BECAUSE AT THIS TIME IT IS NOT INCLUDED IT IN. I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP BECAUSE DUE TO THE LIMITING BREAKING ABILITY OF MY CAR MY ENTIRE FAMILY WAS EXPOSED TO A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.
WATER POOLING INSIDE LEFT SIDE OF RACE TRACK TAILLIGHT ON DECK LID, NOTICED PROBLEM AT 45,000 MILES OF USE. ONE ELEMENT IS NOW BURNED OUT RESULTING IN LESS VISIBILITY TO OTHER OCCUPANTS ON ROADWAYS. SAFETY ISSUE PLEASE ADDRESS.
REAR LED RACEWAY TAILLIGHT FILL UP WITH WATER. PART OF THE LIGHT IS DIM AND CANNOT BE SEEN
I RESIDE IN MASSACHUSETTS, WHERE WINTERS CAN BE LONG AND HARSH. EITHER RAINING OR SNOWING. I PURCHASED MY 14 DURANGO WITH 29K IN MILEAGE BACK IN JUNE AND AROUND DECEMBER I NOTICED THERE TO BE A PUDDLE OF WATER MOVING BACK AND FORTH IN MY LEFT SIDE LIGHT THAT IS ATTACHED TO THE TAILGATE (NOT THE BRAKE LIGHT). MAYBE A FEW DAYS LATER A FEW OF THE LED LIGHTS BURNT OUT AND I NOW HAVE NO LIGHTS ON THE SIDE.I HAVE SINCE TRIED CONTACTING THE DEALER AND THE COMPANY THAT I HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY THROUGH AND NEITHER OF THEM WILL FIX NOR REPLACE THE LED STRIP OF THE RACETRACK LIGHT. THE LIGHT ITSELF COSTS AROUN $1,000 AND I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT SOMETHING LIKE THIS. I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO KEEP MY VEHICLE IN DOORS WHILE IT RAINS OR BE CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF MY DAUGHTER IF ANYTHING WERE TO CATCH FIRE DUE TO ELECTRIC UNIT HITTING WATER. I HAVE SINCE JOINED A DODGE DURANGO PAGE ON FACEBOOK BRINGING THE MATTER UP AND A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME ISSUE. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL AND FIXED IMMEDIATELY. IF DOZENS UPON DOZENS OF PEOPLE ARE EXPERIENCING THIS FROM2014-2016 DODGE DURANGO'S I THINK SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE ABOUT IT. I BOUGHT A FARELY UNUSED CAR IN WHICH I PUT $4,000 DOWN AND NOW 7 MONTHS LATER I HAVE TO PAY $1,000 FOR AN ENTIRE LIGHT STRIP THAT SHOULD NEVER GET WATER IN IT? IT BLOWS MY MIND THAT I HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT SOMETHING LIKE THIS. PLEASE HELP US DURANGO OWNERS.
THE LIFT GATE TAIL LAMP HOUSING IS FULL OF WATER BECAUSE WHEN MANUFACTURED THE HOUSING WAS NOT MADE TO BE WATER TIGHT. THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE IN THIS VEHICLE AND AFFECTS NOT ONLY THE LIFT GATE TAIL LAMP BUT ALSO OTHER ASPECTS OF THE VEHICLE'S ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. I HAVE SEVERAL LIGHTS THAT HAVE SHORTED OUT BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE.
MY LED LIGHT BAR AT REAR OF TRUCK IS TAKING ON WATER AND SHORTING THE LIGHT. CLEARLY A MANUFACTURER DEFECT.
WATER COLLECTING ON BOTH SIDES OF THE RACE TRACK TAIL LIGHTS ON MY 2014 DODGE DURANGO
THE REAR TAILLIGHTS ACCUMULATE WATER AND HAVE NO WAY TO WEEP/DRAIN. THIS IS NOW A SAFETY CONCERN DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE TAILLIGHTS HAVE FAILED.
THE REAR LIGHT IN THE CENTER OF THE TAILGATE, COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS THE "RACETRACK" LIGHT, IS NOT SEALED PROPERLY BY THE MANUFACTURER AND IS SUSCEPTIBLE TO WATER AND CONDENSATION BUILDING UP INSIDE OF IT - THIS CAN COME FROM THE VEHICLE PARKED IN A DRIVEWAY/PARKING SPOT DURING RAIN, DRIVING DOWN A WET ROAD, OR DURING A CAR WASH. THE RESULT OF EXTENDED WATER WITHIN THE LIGHT IS SEVERAL BURNED OUT SECTIONS OF LEDS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE "RACETRACK" WERE DISCOVERED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AT NIGHT, PREVENTING THE FULL REAR LIGHTS FROM ILLUMINATING.
THE SEAT BELT WILL NOT RETRACT NOR LOCK UP (TENSION) WHEN STOPPING SUDDENLY. I HAVE TAKEN IT IN TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THIS ISSUE ONCE ALREADY. THEY TOLD MY HUSBAND IT WAS DUE TO ME YANKING ON THE SEATBELT. WHICH IS SOMETHING I DO NOT DO. I CANNOT EVEN FEED IT BACK INTO THE SLOT. I DISCOVERED THE SEATBELT WOULD NOT LOCK UP WHILE EXITING A PARKING LOT. A VEHICLE TURNED IN FRONT OF ME AND I HAD TO SLAM ON MY BRAKES. I BELIEVE I WAS ONLY GOING ABOUT 20 -25 MILES PER HOUR. I WAS BARELY ABLE TO STOP MYSELF FROM HITTING THE STEERING WHEEL. THE SEAT BELT NEVER LOCKED. THIS IS A 2014, WITH A LITTLE OVER 49,000 MILES. THE SEATBELT SHOULD NOT BE HAVING ISSUES LIKE THIS. NOW IT IS GOING TO COST ME A GOOD DEAL OF MONEY TO FIX. BEING THAT THIS IS A SAFETY FEATURE, I FEEL IT SHOULD BE COVERED FROM THE MANUFACTURER.
