I WAS PARKED WAITING FOR THE LIGHT TO CHANGE FOR 3 MINUTES WHEN OUT OF NOWHERE THE LIGHTS START FLASHING, HORN BLARING, WIPERS RUNNING, AND COULD NOT GET IT TO STOP. THIS HAS HAPPENED INTERMITTENTLY FIVE OR SIX TIMES WITH VARYING DEGREES OF LENGTH (2 SECONDS TO 30 MINUTES I TOOK IT TO GAS STATION AND THEY REMOVE THE FUSES AND CHARGE ME $50 TOLD ME TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER INTERESTING TO SEE THAT THERE ARE OTHERS WITH THE EXACT SAME SYMPTOMS

I WAS COMING HOME FROM VISITING RELATIVES OUT OF STATE, AND GOT CAUGHT UP IN SOME TRAFFIC. I TRIED TO ACCELERATE ONCE THE TRAFFIC CLEARED UP BUT THE TRANSMISSION JUST WHINED. AFTER PULLING OVER, SHUTTING THE CAR OFF FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES, THE CAR BEGAN TO DRIVE AS NORMAL FOR THE NEXT HOUR OR SO. ONCE I WAS ABOUT 5 MILES FROM HOME, IT SEEMED TO START DOING IT AGAIN, BUT STUTTERING THIS TIME. OVER THE COURSE OF THE NEXT 4 MILES OR SO, I HAD TO REPEATEDLY STOP, TURN THE CAR OFF, WAIT 5 MINUTES OR SO, THEN GO AGAIN. TOOK ME AN HOUR TO GO 5 MILES PRETTY MUCH. I WAS UNABLE TO CHECK THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AS IT IS A "DEALER ONLY" ITEM (RIDICULOUS!).
I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM OUT OF STATE AND GOT CAUGHT UP IN TRAFFIC FOR ABOUT TWENTY MILES. AFTER CLEARING TRAFFIC, I TRIED TO ACCELERATE BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT CHANGING FROM LOW GEAR. I HAD TO PULL OVER FOR ABOUT TEN MINUTES BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE AT A NORMAL SPEED AGAIN.
WE STARTED SMELLING AN ODD SMELL COMING FROM THE A/C VENTS ON 7/4/15. AFTER A FEW DAYS THE SMELL WENT AWAY AND WE THOUGHT NOTHING OF IT. 7/8/15 MULTIPLE LIGHTS SHOW UP AFTER STARTING THE VAN..ABS, BRAKES, TRACTION CONTROL, ETC. TWO DAYS LATER THESE LIGHTS WENT AWAY. 7/18/15 WE GOT INTO THE VAN AND A/C IN THE BACK WAS BLOWING, BUT THE FRONT WASN'T BLOWING AT ALL. TURNED IT ON WHILE DRIVING AND IT WORKED AGAIN. THE NEXT DAY WHEN I WENT TO WORK THE BLOWER WAS NOT BLOWING ANYMORE, BUT WORKED ON THE WAY HOME. AFTER THAT SECOND DAY IT HAS CONSISTENTLY WORKED. THIS MORNING WHEN I HIT THE UNLOCK BUTTON ON THE KEYFOB THE HORN STARTED HONKING, WINDSHIELD WIPERS WENT ON, AND WIPER FLUID WAS SQUIRTING OUT. I GOT INTO THE VAN AND STARTED IT AND EVERYTHING STOPPED. I DROVE THE 20 MINUTE DRIVE HOME FROM WORK WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS. LATER THAT DAY I GOT BACK INTO THE VAN TO DRIVE AND EVERYTHING WAS STILL NORMAL EXCEPT I HAD A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT SO I PLANNED ON GETTING THAT CHECKED WHILE I WAS OUT. I WAS PARKED AT A RESIDENCE WITH THE VAN STILL ON WHEN THE SAME HORN/WIPER/WIPER FLUID PROBLEM STARTED UP AGAIN. I TURNED OFF THE VAN AND IT KEPT GOING. I PULLED FUSES OUT FOR THE HORN/WIPERS/FLUID AND COULD STILL HEAR THINGS IN THE BOX CLICKING. THIS TIME THE DOOR LOCKS WERE LOCKING BY THEMSELVES AND THE LIGHTS (BOTH INSIDE AND OUT) WERE TURNING OFF AND ON. I DROVE TO THE CLOSES AUTO PARTS STORE AND WAS TOLD THERE WERE 2 CODES COMING UP. IT GAVE ME P0685 (ASD RELAY CIRCUIT FAILURE) AND P0883 (TCM POWER INPUT HIGH). AFTER DOING SOME ONLINE RESEARCH IT SEEMS I HAVE TO HAVE MY TIPM REPLACED AND THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM. I'M FRUSTRATED AT THE AMOUNT OF MONEY I KEEP HAVING TO PUT INTO THIS VAN. RIGHT NOW MY VAN IS SITTING IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE WITH THE BATTERY DISCONNECTED UNTIL I CAN TAKE IT IN TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT. I'M REALLY LUCKY THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN ON MY DRIVE TO/FROM WORK.
DROVE TO NEARBY TOWN AND MADE SEVERAL STOPS FOR SHOPPING, BUT KEPT THE CAR RUNNING FOR THE AC AS PEOPLE WERE INSIDE THE VEHICLE THAT INCLUDED MY DISABLED VETERAN HUSBAND AND HIS AID. AT THE LAST STOP, THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF AND THE CAR WAS PARKED ABOUT AN HOUR. RETURNED AND THE ENGINE WOULD NOT START. ALL WARNING LIGHTS WERE ON AND THE INSIDE LIGHTS WERE WORKING. NO SOUND FROM THE ENGINE LIKE A DEAD BATTERY OR BAD STARTER. CALLED AND A SEARS EMPLOYEE CAME WITH A BOOSTER BOX. BOX REPORTED BATTERY WAS PUTTING OUT 12.7 VOLTS. HE TRIED JUMP STARTING WITH BATTERY CABLES. NO SOUND FROM ENGINE. CALLED TWO INSURANCE COMPANIES THAT WERE TRYING TO ARRANGE TRANSPORT AND AN HOURS LATER TRIED THE KEY ONE MORE TIME AND IT STARTED. DROVE HOME WITHOUT STOPPING. ONCE I GOT HOME AND TURNED OFF THE ENGINE I TRIED TO START IT AGAIN AND IT WOULD NOT START. APPEARED THE PROBLEM DID NOT SOLVE ITSELF.
THE REAR PASSENGER BRAKE SEIZED UP INTERMITTENTLY ON A TRIP. WOULD OCCASIONALLY FREE UP AFTER NOT USING BRAKES FOR A WHILE BUT THEN WOULD SEIZE UP AGAIN PRODUCING A LOT OF HEAT, A GRATING SOUND AND WEARING DOWN THAT PAD COMPLETELY.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND COULD NOT PROVIDE AN ESTIMATED DATE FOR WHEN THE CONTACTS VEHICLE WOULD RECEIVE THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT WAS NOT EXPERIENCING A FAILURE.
IN REGARDS TO RECALL R03-CHRYSLER HAS KNOWN ABOUT THIS RECALL FOR AT LEAST 1 YEAR, WE FINALLY RECEIVE THE OFFICIAL RECALL NOTICE IN MAY 2015 TO GET THIS ISSUE, WHICH IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE FIXED. I CONTACT ATLANTIC CHRYSLER JEEF IN PLEASANTVILLE NJ AND THEY ADVISE ME THEY CAN NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT THEY ARE KEEPING A LIST AND WHEN PARTS COME IN THEY SCHEDULE THE APPOINTMENT FOR THE REPAIR. THE DEALER CURRRELY HAS 215 PEOPLE ON THIS "LIST" AND HAVE ONLY BEEN ABLE TO FIX 9 VEHICLES OUT OF THE 215. I ASKED THEM IF THEY PROVIDE LOANER VEHICLES UNTIL THE PART COMES IN, THEY TOLD ME NO. I CONTACTED FCA GROUP RECALL ASSISTANCE CENTER AND THEY ADVISED ME THAT CHRYSLER IS EXTREMELY BEHIND ON MAKING THE PARTS AND SHIPPING THEM TO THE DEALERS. I REQUESTED THAT CHRYLER GIVES ME A LOANER SINCE I DONT HAVE ANOTHER VEHICLE TO DRIVE UNTIL THIS SAFETY ISSUE IS CORRECTED, BEINGS I TRANSPORT MY CHILDREN IN THIS VEHICLE, THEY ADVISED ME THEY CAN NOT DO THAT. SHE THAN CONTACTED ATLANTIC CHRYLSER IN PLEASANTVLLE NJ TO CONFIRM THEY ARE BEHIND AND SHE HAD THEM ADD ME TO THE 'LIST"!!! THIS IS A REAL SAFETY CONCERN AND CHRYSLER HAS HAD OVER A YEAR TO MAKE AND SHIP THE REPLACEMENT PARTS, THIS WAITING AND NOT PROVIDING US WITH LOANERS IS JUST NOT SAFE AND NOT FAIR TO ALL VEHICLE OWNERS.
THE RECALL FOR R03 HAS NOT BEEN FIXED IT HAS LEFT MY WIFE STRANDED NUMEROUS TIMES BECAUSE IT WON'T START HALF THE TIME. CHRYSLER HAS HAD ENOUGH TIME TO PRODUCE THE PARTS BUT I GET THE RUN AROUND AT DEALERSHIP. THEY DON'T HAVE THE PART BUT THEY MUST HAVE PARTS TO PUT IN THE NEW VEHICLES ON THE LOT

IT STARTED WHEN NOT MOVING BUT NOW CONTINUES WHILE DRIVING. THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WIPE EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE OFF, THE AIR BAG LIGHT AND TOTAL DASH LIGHTS, WE CAN'T TELL HOW FAST WE ARE GOING BECAUSE OF THE GAUGE FAILURE AND THE HEADLIGHTS BLINK AMONG OTHER ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. THIS IS NOT A GOOD SITUATION WITH 4 KIDS IN THE VEHICLE.

TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT STARTED FLASHING AND THEN WENT SOLID WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH. I PULLED OVER TO CHECK MY TIRES. WHEN I STARTED TO UNSCREW THE CAP ON ONE OF THE TIRES, THE VALVE STEM BROKE AND THE TIRE WENT FLAT. I HAD JUST DRIVEN THROUGH A TUNNEL AND WAS HEADED TOWARDS ANOTHER. HAD THE STEM BROKE WHILE I WAS DRIVING, IT COULD HAVE CAUSED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. THERE ARE SO MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE THAT I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY THERE HASN'T BEEN A RECALL. THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE SENSOR NOT READING THE CORRECT TIRE PRESSURE WHICH CAN LEAD TO OVER INFLATING AND A TIRE BLOWING OUT, BUT NOT ON THIS WHICH SEEMS TO BE AFFECTING A LOT OF PEOPLE.
