THE FRONT AND BACK WIPERS CAME ON. THE BACK WIPER FLUID WAS SQUIRTING. THE HORN CAME ON AND STAYED ON. THE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR LIGHTS TURNED ON AND THE ACCELERATOR STOPPED WORKING. THIS OCCURRED TWICE ON THE DAY LISTED. THE SECOND TIME, I DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY AND THE PROBLEM WOULD NOT STOP. ALSO, WITH BOTH TERMINALS OF THE BATTERY DISCONNECTED, I WAS ABLE TO START THE CAR UP.
WITHIN THE PAST SEVERAL WEEKS ON DRIVING VEHICLE 2 BLOCK, MY WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON RELATING TO ESP AND THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT INDICATING UPON EVALUATION BY A PRIVATE MECHANIC THAT ATTENTION WAS NEEDED IN THE STEERING COLUMN MECHANISM (AIR BAGS?), AND TRACTION CONTROL SENSOR "IDIOT" LIGHT APPEARED CAUSING VEHICLE TO GRASP THE PAVEMENT MORE THAN USUAL, MY TIRES APPEARED OKAY, AND I WAS ADVISED THAT WHEN THE ESP LIGHT COMES ON, TRACTION CONTROL IS AUTOMATIC...PLEASE SEND ME VERIFICATION THAT THIS IS A RECALL ISSUE. I PLAN TO HAVE MY VEHICLE TOWED BY AAA TO SCOTT ROBINSON CHRYSLER, DODGE IN TORRANCE AND WOULD REQUEST COVERAGE OF MY RENTAL VEHICLE FOR ONE WEEK.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE INTAKE MANIFOLD GASKET, THE TRANSMISSION, AND THE GEAR SHIFTER ASSEMBLY NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 119,000.

FOR A FEW DAYS MY VAN HAS BEEN HAVING ISSUES STARTING.(NOT BATTERY) EVERY LIGHT ON THE DASH BORED HAS BEEN POPPING ON. THEN ALL THE DASH LIGHTS GO OUT AND SO DO THE HEAD LIGHTS. WE WERE DRIVING AT NIGHT. PARKED THE CAR FOR A MINUTE AND LET IT RUN. IT SHIFTED OUT OF PARK INTO DRIVE AND DROVE UP A LITTLE KNOLL AND INTO A PARKED CAR.NO ONE WAS IN OR AROUND THE VAN. MY BUMPER WAS DAMAGED. LUCKILY NO ONE WAS HURT. I AM A MOTHER OF 4 YOUNG CHILDREN. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. TODAY IT RAIN A BIT BUT PRIOR TO TODAY IT WAS NOT RAINING. WHEN IN PARKED, LIGHTS AND WIPERS WERE IN THE OFF POSITION BUT THEY CONTINUED TO STAY ON. AT A VERY FAST RATE IT WOULD IDLE UP AND DOWN QUICKLY. WE REFUSE TO EVEN TURN ON THE VAN FOR I AM SCARED OF WHAT MAY HAPPEN.

MY DODGE CARAVAN IS AFFECTED BY THE 14V-373 RECALL. ACCORDING TO THE DEALERSHIP I HAVE BEEN ON THE "WAITING LIST" FOR REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR SEVERAL MONTHS AND IT MAY BE ANOTHER MONTH OR TWO UNTIL MY NAME GETS TO THE TOP OF THE LIST. SINCE IT HAS BEEN 7 MONTHS SINCE THE RECALL IS ISSUED I FIND IT VERY UNACCEPTABLE THAT CHRYSLER IS NOT ABLE TO PROVIDE PARTS FOR THIS SERIOUS ISSUE IN A TIMELY MANNER.

ALSO SOUNDED LIKE BRAKES WERE BEING APPLIED AT SAME TIME . I WAS BARELY ABLE TO MAKE IT TO DEALER WITHOUT BEING IN AM ACCIDENT . THE CLOCKSPRING HAD TO BE REPLACED.

I RECEIVED A SAFETY RECALL FOR MY VEHICLE (IGNITION SWITCH) EARLIER THIS SUMMER, AROUND JUNE. I CALLED MY DEALER AND THEY SAID THEY CAN NOT GET THE PARTS. I EMAILED RECALLS.MOPAR.COM AND THEY SAID THE DEALER SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET THE PARTS. I CALLED BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID GO TO ANOTHER DEALER WHICH I WOULD HAVE TO FIND ONE MYSELF. BASICALLY THEY DID NOT WANT TO KNOW ABOUT IT. KELLER DODGE IN LITITZ, PA IS MY DEALER. YESTERDAY THE IGNITION SWITCH WHICH HAD BEEN GIVING ME TROUBLE FAILED ALTOGETHER LEAVING MY VEHICLE INOPERABLE AND NOT AT HOME. NOTE: I COULD NOT ENTER A DATE IN THE SPACE ABOVE - 08/20/2015
MY 08 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN SXT HAD RANDOM ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTIONS INCLUDING INTERMITTENT ACTIVATION OF HORNS, FRONT WIPERS, REAR WIPERS, FRONT WASHER FLUID SPRAY, REAR WASHER FLUID SPRAY AND DOOR LOCKS THEY WERE STOPPED BY TURNING OFF THE IGNITION AND STARTING AGAIN. THEY WORKED OK THEN. IT HAPPENED TWICE SAME THING AGAIN IN ONE MONTH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DODGE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND HAD DIAGNOSTICS WHICH WERE NO CODES STORED OR ACTIVE AND NO UPDATES FOUND.

MY VAN HAS STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS CHANGING GEARS BETWEEN THE SPEEDS OF 30-60 MPH. THIS MOST FREQUENTLY OCCURS AROUND THE SPEEDS OF 40-50 MPH, BUT HAVE, HOWEVER, OCCURRED AT ALL SPEEDS WITHIN THE 30-60 MPH RANGE. THE VAN ALSO OFTEN ACCELERATES SLOWLY AFTER COMING TO A FULL STOP. DURING BOTH GIVEN INSTANCES, IT WILL BE SLUGGISH AND SOUNDS LIKE IT NEEDS TO SHIFT GEARS YET DOES NOT DO SO. THIS PROCESS ALSO GREATLY DEPLETES MY GAS AS THE TRANSMISSION ISN'T SHIFTING PROPERLY. I HAVE INQUIRED ABOUT A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE BUT HAVE FOUND THAT THERE AREN'T ANY. I, HOWEVER, HAVE FOUND MANY COMPLAINTS ONLINE FROM OTHER OWNERS WITH THIS SAME ISSUE. WE WERE DRIVING DOWN THE I5 IN CALIFORNIA WHEN THE ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS ON THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER LIT UP OR STARTED FLASHING. THE INDICATORS, WIPERS AND WINDSHIELD WIPER FLUID STARTED AND WOULD NOT SHUT OFF. I COULD NOT TURN ANY OF THESE ITEMS OFF. AFTER THE EVENT, FRONT A/C CONTROL KNOB STARTS CONTROLLING THE BACK VENTS OR DOES NOTHING AT ALL. NO CENTER BUTTONS (DEFROST, A/C, ETC..) WORK - IT'S LIKE THEY'RE ALL DEAD. JUST PURCHASED VEHICLE. WE HAD TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP IN BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI 3 DAYS PRIOR TO OUR TRIP. WE HAD IT ALL CHECKED OUT, THEY CHARGED US AROUND 400 FOR FLUSHES AND SUCH, THE REST WAS GREAT AND READY ACCORDING TO THE DEALER. 2 DAYS INTO OUR TRIP, WE GOT A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. WE WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP IN ATLANTA, LEFT IT FOR 2 DAYS, AND RENTED A VEHICLE. THEY SAID NO ISSUES FOUND. WE STARTED FOR FLORIDA ONLY TO FIND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WOULD ALWAYS BE ON AFTER THEN. WHEN DRIVING BACK, IN KENTUCKY GOING ABOUT 70 MILES AN HOUR IN THE MOUNTAINS, THE GAUGES ALL WENT TO 0 AND THE ENTIRE DASH WENT BLACK. THIS WAS VERY SCARY AND I ASSUME UNSAFE. I MAINTAINED MY LANE AND SPEED, AS I WAS ASSUMING THERE WAS NO POWER STEERING OR POWER BRAKES FOR THE TEN SECONDS IT TOOK FOR THE POWER TO SOMEHOW COME BACK. WE HAVE LOST POWER ON THIS VEHICLE MULTIPLE TIMES, AND CHRYSLER/DODGE DEALERSHIPS HAVE ATTRIBUTED IT TO THE KEY FOB. WE HAVE HAD SEVERAL REPLACEMENTS. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE TO LOOSE POWER ON A VEHICLE WHEN DRIVING AND MULTIPLE DEALERSHIPS TO MISDIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. PLEASE HELP.!! :(
I RECEIVED SAFETY RECALL L25/NHTSA 14V-373 EARLIER THIS YEAR ADVISING ME OF THE PROBLEM WITH THE IGNITION KEY BUT SAYING THAT I WOULD BE CONTACTED AGAIN BY MAIL WITH A FOLLOW-UP NOTICE WHEN THE REMEDY PART IS AVAILABLE. IN JUNE 2015, I RECEIVED SAFETY RECALL R03/NHTSA 14V-373 WHICH REPLACED SAFETY RECALL L25. ON JUNE 10, 2015 I CONTACTED MY CHRYSLER DEALER TO SCHEDULE THE REPAIR. THEY INFORMED ME THAT THEY HAD TO ORDER THE PART AND WHEN THEY RECEIVED THE PART THEY WOULD SCHEDULE A REPAIR APPOINTMENT. AS OF THIS DATE, JULY 27, 2015, I HAVE CALLED THEM BACK TWICE AND ALL THEY CAN TELL ME IS THAT THE PART IS STILL ON ORDER AND THEY DO NOT KNOW WHEN THEY WILL RECEIVE IT.
