TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WOULD ONLY OCCUR WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION SPORADICALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,500 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 44,290.
VEHICLE HAS AN ELDORADO AMERIVAN 14" LOWERED FLOOR CONVERSION. THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SEATS INCLUDING LOWERED FLOOR SEAT BASES WOULD NOT STAY LOCKED TO THE FLOOR SECUREMENT SYSTEM. SLIGHT PRESSURE APPLIED TO BOTH WOULD CAUSE THEM TO BECOME UNLOCKED FROM THE VEHICLE FLOOR. FAMILY DROVE AROUND WITH THIS DEFICIENCY IN THE DRIVER SEAT FOR APPROXIMATELY ONE MONTH BEFORE NOTICING. FRONT PASSENGER SEAT HAD BEEN REMOVED TO ALLOW FOR AN OCCUPIED WHEELCHAIR POSITION. *TR
EARLIER THIS YEAR, LATE SPRING, HAD BAD VIBRATION WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES, FOUND OUT IT WAS DUE TO WARPED BRAKE ROTOR(S). I TOOK THE VAN TO A MECHANIC AND HE STATED THAT HE HAD THE SAME ISSUE WITH HIS CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY VAN AND EXPLAINED THAT CHRYSLER WOULD DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. JUST LAST WEEK I WENT TO GET THE VAN INSPECTED AND IT WOULD NOT PASS INSPECTION BECAUSE OF THE BRAKE VIBRATION. I DID RECEIVE SOME LETTERS FROM CHRYSLER IN THE MAIL ABOUT THE FRONT BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS, AND ALSO THE FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS, SO I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS NOTHING FOR THE REAR ROTORS / BRAKES, AND THIS IS WHERE THE PROBLEM WAS THAT WOULD NOT ALLOW THE VAN TO PASS INSPECTION. I PAID $265.00 TO HAVE THE BACK ROTOR(S) CUT AND THEN HAVE THE FRONT BRAKES / ROTORS REPLACED (FOR THE KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE FRONT) AND AFTER CUTTING THE REAR ROTORS THERE WAS STILL A SLIGHT VIBRATION IN THE BRAKES! TO PAY OVER $600.00 EVERY 1 1/2 YEARS FOR FRONT AND REAR ROTORS / BRAKES IS UNREAL. I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW VAN BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT MAJOR REPAIR $ FOR A LONG TIME. THE REASON FOR THE WARPED ROTORS IS THE BRAKING SYSTEM IS EITHER UNDERSIZED, OR THERE IS A SERIOUS DESIGN FLAW. WHEN I SEARCH THE INTERNET I FIND ALL SORTS OF HITS ON CHRYSLER VEHICLES FOR BRAKE / ROTOR ISSUES, PAST AND PRESENT. I WISH I WOULD HAVE SEEN THIS BEFORE I BOUGHT THE VAN. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TURN SIGNALS AND WINDSHIELD WIPERS WOULD SUDDENLY FAIL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE DEFECT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,000.
WHILE TRAVELING SOUTHBOUND ON I-75 AT MILEPOST 263.3 A FAINT ALARM OF SOME KIND CAME ON. THEN THE ENGINE BEGAN MAKING A NOISE AND QUIT. WHEN I PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT SHOT FLAMES AND SMOKE FROM UNDER THE HOOD. I WAS ATTEMPTING TO RELEASE THE HOOD LATCH WHEN FLAMES BURST IN THROUGH THE FIREWALL UNDER THE DASH. WE THEN ABANDONED THE VEHICLE AND CALLED 911. BY THE TIME A FIRE TRUCK ARRIVED THE VAN WAS TOTALLY BURNED. I HAVE THE VEHICLE SERVICED REGULARLY AND HAD JUST REPLACED THE TIRES AND BRAKES. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE CAUSE MIGHT HAVE BEEN BUT IT BEARS LOOKING INTO. *KB
VALVE STEM BROKE WHILE INFLATING TIRES. INFLATING OUR CUSTOMERS' TIRES IS PART OF OUR SERVICE AND REQUIRED BY CALIFORNIA LAW. THIS IS A REGULAR OCCURRENCE AT OUR OIL CHANGE FACILITIES. WE ARE USUALLY LEFT PAYING FOR THE EXPENSE OF REPLACING THE TPMS SENSOR, MOUNTING AND DISMOUNTING THE TIRE BY A TIRE SHOP. THE TIRE IN QUESTION IS A NEXEN CP251 BUT THIS COMPLAINT IS ABOUT THE TPMS SENSOR. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 45 MPH WHEN THE REAR BRAKES FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHO PERFORMED A DIAGNOSTIC THAT LOCATED THE FAILURE AT THE REAR BRAKE, CALIPERS, ROTORS AND THE CYLINDERS. THE LOCAL MECHANIC REPLACED THE REAR CALIPERS, ROTORS, CYLINDERS, AND THE BRAKES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 43,000.
REAR BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS FAILED ON VAN. CHRYSLER EXTENDED WARRANTY ON FRONT BRAKE AND ROTORS BUT NOT BACK BRAKES AND ROTORS FOR UP TO $100 DEDUCTIBLE ON 36000 MILES. WHY NOT BACK BRAKES AND ROTORS? THEY ARE MADE OF SAME MATERIALS. *KB
OUR 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN MINIVAN, HAS BEEN FOR THE PAST 6 MONTHS BEEN STALLING SPORADICALLY. TODAY, IT CAME TO A HEAD. WE WERE 45 MINUTES NORTH OF OUR HOUSE AND HEADING HOME. 10 MINUTES OF DRIVING TO GET TO THE FREEWAY AND 20 MINUTES ON THE FREEWAY, IN THE CENTER LANE, 3 LANES WIDE, POURING OUTSIDE, IT IS 8:50PM, AND LIGHTENING OUT AS WELL. OUR MINIVAN JUST DIED ON THE FREEWAY, WITH A FAIR AMOUNT OF TRAFFIC. WE WERE ABLE TO PULL OVER QUICKLY AS THE MINIVAN SHOOK TO A HALT, WE WERE GOING 70 MILES PER HOUR. YESTERDAY, WHEN I TRIED STARTING IT DIED RIGHT AWAY, TWICE. THE DEALERSHIP KNOWS ABOUT THIS AS THEY SEE THE MINIVAN FOR THIS ABOUT EVERY MONTH, AND THEY ALWAYS SAY NOTHING COMES UP ON THE COMPUTER, NOTHING IS WRONG WITH IT. I HAVE COMPLAINED TO CHRYSLER ABOUT THIS. THEY SAY IT IS BECAUSE IT HAPPENS RIGHT AFTER WE HAVE FILLED UP WITH GAS. WELL, WE DIDN'T JUST FILL UP WITH GAS TODAY, AND HAVE ONLY A HALF TANK OF GAS, WHEN THIS HAPPENED. OUT OF THE COUNTLESS TIMES THIS HAS DIED ON US, IT HAS ONLY DIED 2 TIMES AFTER FILLING UP. THERE IS NO RHYME OR REASON WHEN THIS HAPPENS, CAN BE MORNING OR AFTERNOON, WE RARELY DRIVE IN THE EVENING. COLD OR HOT DAYS. CHRYSLER HAS SAID THAT THIS ISSUE IS RELATED TO THE NEW KEY, AND RECALLED IT, WELL WE HAVE HAD THAT CHANGED AT LEAST 3 TIMES ALREADY. *TR
DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD I SMELLED A BURNING SMELL COMING FROM MY VAN. I GOT OUT OF MY VAN AND DISCOVERED THAT THE SMELL WAS COMING FROM MY ROTOR . I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY REPLACED MY CALIPERS AND ROTORS DUE TO A CALIPER STICKING ON THE VAN.I HAVE HAD NUMEROUS ISSUES WITH THE BRAKING SYSTEM.PULSATING OF BRAKES, CALIPERS STICKING, PREMATURE OF ROTORS. I HAVE HAD MY ROTORS REPLACED AT 7186 MILES, 15688 MILES AND 24,527 AND 39,435 MILES . *TR

THE MANUFACTURER THEN ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THEY WOULD CONTACT HIM AT A LATER DATE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 45,693.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE WHO DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN ANY RECALLS. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 14,600.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL WHISTLING SOUND WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS APPLIED AND THE VEHICLE HESITATED TO STOP. THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE REAR BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS WERE REPLACED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS WERE REPLACED SIX OTHER TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 16,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STALLED. THE BRAKE PEDAL BECAME STIFF ON TWO OCCASIONS AND THE INSTRUMENT PANEL DID NOT ILLUMINATE. THE CONTACT STOPPED THE VEHICLE ON THE SHOULDER AND WAS ABLE TO RESTART IT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. NHTSA RECALL CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 11V139000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION) MAY BE RELATED TO THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,500.
WAS DRIVEING ABOUT 40MPH WHEN ALL ELECTRICAL POWER FAILED NO TURN SIGNALS WIPERS RADIO BRAKE LIGHTS POWER WINDOWS ETC. PULLED OVER TO SIDE OF ROAD AND WHEN ITURNED OFF IGNITION ALL POWER CAME BACK ON. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS OCCURED. ALSO, HAVE TROUBLE WITH THE IGNITION OF THIS VEHICLE SOMETIMES TAKES 2 OR 3 TRIES TO START. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DEALER FOR A RECALL OF THE IGNITION BUT SEEMS TO HAVE CREATED OTHER PROBLEMS. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE CARAVAN. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS SHIFTING FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION GEAR SHIFT ASSEMBLY SEPARATED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER NOR MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 36,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THERE WAS A LOSS OF ACCELERATION AND BRAKING. THE CONTACT TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND WAS ABLE TO RESTART WITHOUT ANY ISSUES. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER BUT WAS ADVISED THAT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED TWICE AND ON THE SECOND OCCURRENCE, THE TRANSMISSION CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO LUNGE FORWARD VIOLENTLY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 23,000.
VALVE STEM FAILURE: WHILE REPLACING TIRES, TIRE DEALER REMOVED SCHRADER VALVE FROM INSIDE VALVE STEM AND VALVE STEM CAME APART IN HIS HAND. TOOK WHEEL TO DEALERSHIP AND HAD TPMS REPLACED AT A COST OF $100 (DEDUCTABLE ON EXTENDED WARRANTY). INSTRUCTED DEALER TO REMOVE AND REINSTALL SCHADER VALVES FROM REMAINING THREE WHEELS TO SEE IF PROBLEM WOULD REOCCUR... AND DID NOT. I FEEL THAT THE VALVE STEM WAS DEFECTIVE AND DODGE SHOULD PAY FOR REPAIR. *TT
WHEN SPEED CONTROL IS ON AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 45-65 MPH, WHEN GOING DOWNHILL, THE TRANSMISSION WILL DOWNSHIFT EXTREMELY HARD CAUSING HIGH RPMS 5500+. ATTEMPTED TO DISENGAGE MANUALLY AND BY STEPPING ON THE BRAKE BUT CONDITION CONTINUED FOR 45 SECS. PUT VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL AND COASTED REENGAGING D AT APPROX 10 MPH. OCCURRED A 2ND TIME AT 65 MPH GOING DOWNHILL 300 MILES LATER THAT SAME DAY. NO WARNING LIGHTS WERE ACTIVATED DURING BOTH EVENTS. THIS SUDDEN DOWNSHIFTING CAUSING MOMENTARY LOSS OF CONTROL AND LOSS OF SPEED. IN MY OPINION IS A SAFETY CONCERN. ESPECIALLY WOULD BE A CONCERN WHEN OPERATING ON ADVERSE ROAD CONDITIONS. ME CHRYSLER DEALER ADVISED NOT USE USE SPEED CONTROL. ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON NEXT DAY. ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON NEXT DAY. WILL BE GOING TO A CT DEALERSHIP ON FRIDAY FOR TROUBLESHOOTING. *TT

THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER RECEIVING REPAIRS UNDER A VOLUNTARY RECALL ON THE FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS, SHE WAS NOTIFIED BY THE DEALER THAT THE FAILURE WAS ON THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE AND NOT IN THE FRONT. AS A RESULT, THE REAR WHEEL BEARING, BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 37,000.
I HAVE A 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN, THAT I BOUGHT NEW IN JULY 2010. I HAVE 31,000 MILES AND HAD TO CHANGE THE BRAKES AND ROTORS 4 TIMES. DEALER CLAIMS FRONT END IS TO HEAVY. THEY SUPPOSEDLY HAVE PUT A "REVISED BRAKE PADS" BUT SAME THING IS STILL HAPPENING. CAR PULSATES REPEATEDLY WHEN I COME TO A STOP, ESPECIALLY IF I AM STOPPING AT THE END OF A HILL. I BOUGHT THIS CAR BECAUSE OF MY 2 SMALL CHILDREN AND THIS IS SOMETHING THAT NEEDS TO BE FIXED. *TR
I HAVE 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN, THE BRAKES ARE SHOT AT 18,000 MILES. I HAVE NEVER OWED A NEW VEHICLE WHERE THE BRAKES FAILED LIKE THIS. BRAKES SHOULD LAST WAY LONGER THAN THIS. OF COURSE THEY SAY THE WARRANTY IS ONLY TO 12,000 MILES FOR BRAKES, I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO PAY, I HAVE TO HAVE BRAKES! WHEN WE GO PICK IT UP I KNOW MY HUSBAND IS GOING TO CUSS THEM OUT, I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY 300.00 FOR BRAKES ON A CAR JUST OVER 1 YEAR OLD. *TR

THE CONTACT WAS NOT INJURED DURING THE FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE AND ADVISED THAT THE FIRE ORIGINATED UNDER THE HOOD ON THE DRIVER SIDE BUT DID NOT ADVISE THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DEALER PERFORMED REPAIRS UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 11V139000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: IGNITION) BUT THE REPAIR DID NOT CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO TURN THE ENGINE OFF AND RELEASE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION SWITCH. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 19,645 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 20,740.
BRAKES WENT OUT ONE MONTH AFTER PURCHASE FROM THE DEALERSHIP. REPLACEMENT COST $936 FOR WHICH WE RECEIVED NO HELP FROM THE DEALER EVEN THOUGH WE PAID FOR EXTENSIVE INSURANCE ON THE VEHICLE. HAD TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE BRAKE SYSTEM AND JUST ONE AND A HALF YEARS LATER WE ARE FORCED TO DO THE SAME THING AGAIN. IF THE BRAKES CANNOT SUPPORT THE WEIGHT OF THE VEHICLE THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE RECALLED BEFORE FATALITIES ARE CAUSED BY A FAULTY BRAKE SYSTEM. WE DID RECEIVE A LETTER STATING WE WOULD BE REIMBURSED FOR OUR PAYMENT OF THE BRAKE SYSTEM BUT SINCE WE HAD MOVED AND I COULD NOT LOCATE THE RECEIPT WE WERE NOT REIMBURSED. *TR

AFTER A FEW MOMENTS, THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO RESTART. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER, WHERE THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE DEALER ALSO STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOT PERFORM THE REPAIRS ASSOCIATED WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 11V139000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION). THE VEHICLE WAS TRADED IN SINCE THE RECALL REMEDY WAS NOT PERFORMED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 22,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER THE RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 11V139000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: IGNITION SWITCH). AFTER HAVING THE VEHICLE REPAIRED, THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILED. THE POWER WINDOWS, AIR CONDITIONER, TURN SIGNALS, AND RADIO STOPPED FUNCTIONING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT SOME OF THE PARTS FOR THE VEHICLE WERE NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. THE DEALER AND THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO NOTIFY THE MANUFACTURER, BUT HAD NOT RECEIVED A RESPONSE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 22,346.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE CARAVAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE SLIDING DOORS OPENED INDEPENDENTLY. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. DEALER CLAIMS THERE IS NO PROBLEM. CLAIMS IT IS OUR ROUGH WINTERS HERE IN CENTRAL NY. BUT THEY HAD JUST CHECKED THEM AND NO SALT OR WINTER IN JULY. I HAVE RUINED 4 SETS OF REAR BRAKES AND ROTORS SINCE THEN. JUST REPLACED THE FRONT FOR THE FIRST TIME AT 70,000 MILES. THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE SYSTEM THAT IS APPLYING THE REAR BRAKES WHEN NOT NEEDED. SOMETIMES I FIND THE RIGHT SIDE SMOKING AND SOMETIMES THE LEFT. WE HAVE DONE EVERYTHING ACCORDING TO SPEC. FILED THE GUIDES, LUBED THE GUIDES TO BE SURE EVERYTHING IS FREE. NOTHING HELPS. IT IS DANGEROUS BECAUSE ALL I HAVE IS THE FRONT BRAKES TO STOP IN AN EMERGENCY. NOW AND 21000 I NEED TO REPLACE THEM AGAIN. THE BRAKES ARE NOT SUFFICIENT FOR THE WEIGHT OF THE VEHICLE AND THEREFORE CHRYSLER SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR DESIGNING AN INADEQUATE BRAKE SYSTEM. CONSUMERS ARE NOT ENGINEERS AND WE BUY VEHICLES TRUSTING THE MANUFACTURERS HAVE DESIGNED A CAR CORRECTLY AND WITH BASIC NECESSITY (SUCH AS A BRAKING SYSTEM) TO HAVE TO REPLACE A VANS BRAKE EVERY 3-5000 MILES IS RIDICULOUS. I HAVE RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE 3 TIMES. I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALER NEMOURS TIMES TRYING TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. THEY ARE TELLING ME THAT PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE MORE THAN 5 MPH. WITH ONCOMING TRAFFIC HEADING TOWARD ME AND NARROWLY BEING HIT BY ONCOMING CARS, I PUT ON MY FLASHERS AND PROCEEDED INTO THE NEAREST PARKING LOT. I TURNED THE MOTOR OFF AND BACK ON AGAIN AND THE CAR SEEMED NORMAL. I PROCEEDED HOME IMMEDIATELY WHERE I CALLED DODGE DEALER.BROUGHT THE CAR IN FOR SERVICE ON 7/2/11 AND THEY GAVE ME A LOANER. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN AUG 2010. TODAY'S DATE IS NOV 15, 2011. CURRENT MILEAGE IS 40,000 MILES. I USE THE CAR FOR COMMUTING TO WORK ON THE HIGHWAY. THE FRONT BRAKES AND FRONT ROTORS NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE STEERING WHEEL HAS BEEN SHAKING VIOLENTLY. I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM CHRYSLER GROUP LLC DATED OCT 24, 2011 STATING "THE WARRANTY PERIOD FOR MY FRONT BRAKE PADS AND FRONT ROTORS HAS BEEN EXTENDED BECAUSE SOME OF THE MINIVANS MAY NEED THE PADS AND ROTORS REPLACED EARLIER THAN EXPECTED." IT HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO 3 YEARS/36,000 MILES. UNFORTUNATELY, MY DEALERSHIP WILL NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY WITH ME BECAUSE OF THE CURRENT MILEAGE AT 40,000. MY ISSUE IS THE FACT THAT THE CAR IS ONLY 1YR 4 MONTHS OLD AND ALREADY NEEDS NEW PADS AND FRONT ROTORS.
