I HAVE A 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. THIS VAN HAS SHUT DOWN FOUR TIMES NOW WHILE I HAVE BEEN DRIVING IT. THIS HAPPENED AGAIN THIS PAST WEEKEND AT THE HIGHEST SPEED WE HAVE EVER BEEN TRAVELING WHEN THE ENGINE SHUTS DOWN; 45 MPH. MY CURRENT MILEAGE IS 9400. THE FIRST TIME I NOTICED THIS ROUTINE ENGINE SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING WAS AROUND 5,000 MILES @ 06/2010. AS FAR AS SPEEDS WHEN IT SHUTS DOWN, IT HAS HAPPENED AROUND 45 MPH, 35 MPH, AND THE OTHER TWO TIMES PRIOR WERE MUCH SLOWER SPEEDS. THE DEALERSHIP SAID THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT. THE CAR ALSO SEEMS TO STALL OUT AND NOT START ABOUT 1 OUT OF 30 STARTS. I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH CHRYSLER ON THE VAN ROUTINELY SHUTTING DOWN AND STEERING WHEEL LOCKING. THE VAN WILL RESTART ONCE IT STOPS, BUT THIS IS A DEATH ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN. I HOPE SOMEBODY READS THIS AND LOOKS INTO IT. I HAVE THE 3.3L V6 ENGINE. *TR
2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN STARTING TO STALL AND SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING WHILE DRIVING. NEED TO KNOW IF THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM, IT HAPPENED WHILE TURNING INTO A LANE AND ALSO DRIVING UPHILL, VERY ALARMING. DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING WITH THIS PROBLEM, BOUGHT THE VAN BRAND NEW. *TR
WE PURCHASED A 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN IN JULY OF THIS YEAR. IT HAS BEEN A DRY SUMMER HERE IN NORTHEASTERN PA AND WE HAVE NOT DRIVEN MUCH UNDER WET CONDITIONS. APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS AGO MY WIFE AND I WERE GOING OUT TO DINNER AND THE ROADS WERE WET FROM A SMALL AMOUNT OF RAIN. EVERYTIME WE STARTED FROM A STOP SIGN OR TRAFFIC LIGHT THE TIRES WOULD SPIN BEFORE THEY WOULD GAIN TRACTION ON THE PAVEMENT. I WAS SHOCKED THAT THIS WAS HAPPENING, AND MY WIFE STATED IT HAPPENED TO HER ALL THE TIME. THIS IS NOT A FAULT OF OURS AS THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED PREVIOUSLY WITH ANY TIRES WE HAVE HAD ON ANY OF OUR PAST VEHICLES. THE VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE ADDITIONAL HORSE POWER AS THE ENGINE IS THE SAME AS THE ENGINE IN THE CARAVAN THAT WE TRADED FOR THIS CARAVAN. WHEN WE CONTACTED CHRYSLER CONCERNING THIS PROBLEM THEIR RESPONSE WAS IT IS NOT OUR PROBLEM, IT IS THE TIRE MANUFACTURER'S PROBLEM. BUT CHRYSLER IS THE ONE WHO SELECTED THIS BRAND OF TIRES TO BE PLACED ON THIS NEW VEHICLE. ALSO, WHEN LOOKING UP INFORMATION ON YOKOHAMA TIRES ON THE INTERNET, I CAME ACROSS A WEB SITE THAT CONTAINED 8 PAGES OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT YOKOHAMA TIRES. I CONTACTED THE SELLING DEALER WOTOR WORLD OF WILKES BARRE, PA. AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR US WITH THE TIRE DEALER WHEN HE WAS AT THE DEALERSHIP. IT HAS BEEN MORE THAN TWO WEEKS AND STILL NO WORD OF AN APPOINTMENT. AND THE TIRE DEALER IS LESS THAN 5 MILES FROM THE AUTO DEALER. THE TIRES ARE YOKOHAMA MODEL AVID S33 THE VEHICLE VIN IS [XXX] AND MY CHRYSLER COMPLAINT # IS 19735130. WHILE WORKING ON THIS COMPLAINT THE SELLING DEALER FINALLY RETURNED OUR CALL THAT WE PLACED TODAY AND NOW THEY ARE TRYING TO ABSOLVE THEMSELVES FOR ANY RESPONSIBILITY TO BE OF ASSISTANCE IN HANDLING THIS PROBLEM. AT THIS POINT WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO. WE ARE SENIOR CITIZENS AND ARE AFRAID TO OPERATE THE VEHICLE UNDER WET ROAD CONDITIONS. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD STALL SPORADICALLY WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE BUT DENIED ANY ASSISTANCE WITH FURTHER REPAIRS TO THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AT THE CONTACT'S EXPENSE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 23,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 26,000. THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO STALL AFTER THE RECALL WAS PERFORMED. I HAVE A 2010 DODGE CARAVAN VIN #[XXX] THAT HAS SOME SORT OF ELECTRICAL PROBLEM WHICH CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO STOP WHILE RUNNING AT ANY SPEED. THE VAN JUST GOES DEAD, NO POWER STEERING, NOTHING - MAKING THIS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. THE PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED ON THREE OCCASIONS NOW AND HAS BEEN REPORTED TO DODGE - CASE #. THE VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT TO TWO SEPARATE DEALERSHIPS AND EACH TIME THE ISSUE WAS THE SAME. NO COMPUTER CODE MEANS NO PROBLEM. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS MATTER.... WHILE DRIVING (NOT IN IDLE OR STOPPED) ALL OF THE SAFETY LIGHTS ON THE DASH BOARD TURN ON AND ABOUT 10 SECONDS LATER THE CAR SHUTS OFF AND THE POWER STEERING LOCKS. THE VEHICLE CAN BE SWITCHED TO PARK AND WILL START UP AGAIN. THIS HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST FIVE TIMES ALREADY. I HAVE TAKEN THE VAN TO THE DEALERSHIP TWICE AND THEY ARE UNABLE TO FIND ANYTHING WRONG. TWICE THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE IN TRAFFIC LUCKILY NO ONE HAS REAR ENDED ME. *TR
SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASING A BRAND NEW 2010 DOGE CARAVAN WE NOTICED THERE WAS A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF AIR LEAKAGE THROUGH THE TWO SIDE SLIDING DOOR (NON-AUTOMATIC) AND THEY RATTLED SIGNIFICANTLY WHEN DRIVING. WE BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALER WHO ACKNOWLEDGE THE ISSUE AND REPLACED THE LATCHES FREE OF CHARGE UNDER OUR WARRANTY. COSMETIC ISSUES WITH THE REPAIR JOB ASIDE, THE NEW LATCHES WERE NOT ANY BETTER AND WE CONTINUE TO EXPERIENCE THE SAME PROBLEMS EVEN AFTER 3+ VISITS BACK TO THE DEALER. THE LOOSE FITTING DOORS CREATE PROBLEMS ESPECIALLY IN WINTER. BOTH DOORS FREEZE SHUT (THIS HAPPENS WEEKLY) AND WILL NOT BUDGE EVEN AFTER RUNNING THE VAN FOR IN EXCESS OF AN HOUR WITH THE HEAT ON FULL. THE FINAL SOLUTION OF THE DEALERSHIP WAS TO SMEAR WHAT LOOKED TO BE LARGE AMOUNTS OF VASELINE ON RUBBER GASKETS, BUSHINGS, AND LATCHES OF THE SLIDING DOORS, WHICH MADE QUITE A MESS WHEN MY KIDS GOT INTO THE VAN. I AM UNCERTAIN AS TO THE ROOT PROBLEM WITH THE LATCHES AND DOOR SEALS. I ONLY KNOW THAT IT PRESENTS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE NOT BEING ABLE TO GET MY KIDS IN AND OUT OF THE VAN IN THE WINTER TIME. I AM ALSO CONCERNED BY THE RATTLING AND WHISTLING WIND THROUGH THE SLIDING DOORS AS WE DRIVE DOWN THE ROAD. I AM CONCERNED THE LATCHES MAY WEAR TO THE POINT OF MALFUNCTION.
2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. CONSUMER STATES PROBLEM WITH CRUISE CONTROL/TRANSMISSION *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED THE PROBLEM HE ENCOUNTERED OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED. WE HE APPROACHED THE TOP OF A HILL, THE CRUISE CONTROL REDUCED SPEED, BUT INSTEAD OF COASTING DOWN HILL, THE VEHICLE SEEMED TO DOWNSHIFT TO LOW GEAR. THE CRUISE CONTROL WOULD NOT DISENGAGE WITH EITHER THE BRAKE OR THE CANCEL BUTTON. THE CRUISE CONTROL WOULD NOT DISENGAGE UNTIL THE SPEED WAS LESS THAN 15 MPH. *JB
MY FACTORY INSTALLED SUNROOF HAS LEAKED SEVERAL TIMES FLOODING THE INSIDE OF THE VAN WITH AS MUCH AS 1 1/2" OF WATER COLLECTING IN THE CONSOLE. WATER POURS OUT OF THE ELECTRICAL CONSOLE ON THE CEILING OF THE VAN AND MORE SERIOUSLY THE BUTTON ON THE DOOR JAMS FROM WHERE THE SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS DEPLOY. ALSO ON TO THE DASH SEEPING IN TO ELECTRONIC STUFF INSIDE THE DASH. MY MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN IS FOR ELECTRIC FIRES AND MORE IMPORTANT FOR THE AIRBAGS(HAVE THEY GOTTEN WET? HAS THE ELECTRICS INVOLVED GOTTEN WET? WHAT MIGHT THAT CAUSE?) WHICH I FEEL MAY BE COMPROMISED CAUSING THEM TO MALFUNCTION WHEN NEEDED. *TR
2010, DODGE GRAND CARAVAN ~ THIS IS THE FOURTH TIME I HAVE BEEN DRIVING AROUND WITH MY THREE YOUNG CHILDREN AND THE VAN HAS DIED ENTIRELY. IT IS LUCKY THAT WE HAVE JUST BEEN IN TOWN. I HOLD MY BREATH THE ENTIRE TIME WE ARE ON THE HIGHWAY AT ALL (WHICH ISN'T OFTEN, THANKFULLY). I AM TERRIFIED THAT WE WILL BE KILLED IN AN ACCIDENT IF THIS WERE TO HAPPEN ON THE HIGHWAY!! I AM NOT SURE WHAT THEY INTEND TO DO ABOUT IT, THEY SAY THEY ARE GOING TO REPLACE THE KEY MODULE... AND THAT I AM TO TELL THEM IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN. WE WILL BE ON THE HIGHWAY FOR A LONG TIME GOING ON VACATION AND I AM NOT CONFIDENT THIS WILL RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN WITH YOKOHAMA AVID S33 225/65/ 16 TIRES. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT 60 MPH, THE FRONT PASSENGER TIRE BLEW CAUSING THE CONTACT TO CRASH INTO A GUARD RAIL. HE WAS NOT INJURED. A POLICE REPORT WAS AVAILABLE. THE POLICE OFFICER WHO ARRIVED AT THE SCENE ADVISED THAT THE BLOW OUT WAS CAUSED BY AN EQUIPMENT FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED IN REGARDS TO THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,500.
I RENTED A DODGE GRAND CARAVAN FROM NATIONAL CAR RENTAL AT THE CHARLESTON, SC AIRPORT ON JULY 14, 2010. THAT EVENING THE VAN SLIPPED INTO REVERSE WHEN I WAS EXITING THE VEHICLE. IT KNOCKED ME DOWN AND RAN OVER MY LEFT LEG. I SUFFERED SCRAPES AND BRUISES ALL OVER MY BODY AND A BONE CONTUSION ON MY LEFT KNEE AND AM NOW RECOVERING. THE SAFETY OF THE DASH MOUNTED GEAR SHIFT IN THIS VEHICLE SHOULD BE EXAMINED BY THE MANUFACTURER. IT SHOULD ALSO BE QUESTIONED BY ANY OTHER VEHICLE OPERATOR OR PROVIDER. *TR
I RECEIVED SAFETY RECALL NOTICE L25. CALLED THE DEALER TO SCHEDUL APPOINTMENT AND CHRYSLER GROUP RECALL ASSISTANCE CENTER. THEY ARE NOT AWARE OF RECALL AND STATED THAT IT WAS BOGUS. *TT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH THE VEHICLE STALLED AND ALL OF THE WARNING LIGHTS BEGAN TO ILLUMINATE ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS MANUEVERED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHERE IT WAS STOPPED. UPON RESTART, THE VEHICLE OPERATED AS NORMAL. THE FAILURE OCCURRED A TOTAL OF SIX TIMES, ALL DURING EXTREMELY HOT WEATHER. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AFTER ONE OF THE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER TWICE, WHERE THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,000. UPDATED 08/01/11*LJ THE CONSUMER STATED THE ENGINE WOULD STOP WHEN THE AC WAS ON. UPDATED 08/08/11
WHILE DRIVING OUR NEW DODGE GRAND CARAVAN THE ENGINE WILL JUST TURN OFF INTERMITTENTLY WHEN YOU COME UP TO A STOP OR TURNING. THIS HAPPENED ONCE AND THE DEALER SAID THEY COULD NOT "RECREATE IT" SO THEY COULD NOT FIX IT. WE WERE ADVISED TO BRING IT BACK IF THE PROBLEM HAPPENED AGAIN. TWO DAYS LATER THE ENGINE TURNED OFF WHILE I WAS TURNING LEFT AT AN INTERSECTION. THIS INCIDENT ALMOST CAUSED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT AND LEFT ME SHAKING. I DROVE DIRECTLY TO THE DEALER WHERE THE SAME STORY AS BEFORE WAS DICTATED. THEY ARE KEEPING IT TO SEE IF THEY CAN MAKE IT DO IT AGAIN. WHEN ASKED IF THE COMPUTER NEVER SHOWS THE PROBLEM COULD THAT MEAN THE PROBLEM IS IN THE COMPUTER? THE DEALER SAID "MAYBE". *TR
BOUGHT BRAND NEW DODGE CARAVAN MAR 23 2010 AND JUNE IT KILLED WHILE DRIVING 40-45 MPH AND TOOK 45 MINUTES TO START AGAIN. BROUGHT IT TO BENSON IN GREER SC WHERE WE BOUGHT THE CAR AND BECAUSE THE COMPUTER DID NOT SHOW ANYTHING THEY DID NOTHING. KILLED AGAIN AND BROUGHT TO DEALERSHIP. SAID THEY WOULD HOOK IT TO COMPUTER BUT COULD ONLY FIX IT IF IT SHOWED SOMETHING. LUCKILY IT KILLED ON THEM AND THEY HAD TO PUSH IT INTO SHOP. THE CAR KILLED AGAIN FOR THE THIRD TIME OF US, AND BARELY MISSED HAVING AN ACCIDENT. THEY TOLD US THAT IT WAS ONE OF TWO PARTS AND THEY HAD ONLY REPLACED ONE PREVIOUSLY. WHEN ASKED WHY THEY TOLD US THEY WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR PARTS IF TURNED THEM INTO GMAC AND THEY WERE GOOD. THEY OBVIOUSLY HAD NO CONCERN FOR OUR SAFETY OR OTHERS ON THE ROAD WHEN THE VEHICLE JUST SUDDENLY STOPS WHEN DRIVING ACCELERATED SPEED. IT WAS CONSIDERED A LEMON BY THERE ARBITRATION BOARD HOWEVER, THEY JUST TELL US TO DRIVE IT TILL IT KILLS AGAIN OR KILLS US OR SOMEONE ELSE. BENSON DEALERSHIP, GREER SC
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE CARAVAN. WHILE DRIVING ON AN DECLINE AT APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH PRESSURE WAS APPLIED TO THE BRAKES AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SHAKE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO CONFIRMED THAT THE ROTORS WERE THIN. THE ROTORS WERE REPLACED AND SHE WAS INFORMED THAT THIS WAS A COMMON FAILURE AMONG HER YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL VEHICLE. THE FAILURE HAS NOT RECURRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 19,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 23,000.
WHEN SPEED CONTROL IS ON AND ACTIVE AT HIGHWAY SPEED, WHEN GOING DOWN A HILL THE TRANSMISSION WILL DOWNSHIFT 3RD GEAR LEVEL VERY HARD AND THE ENGINE WILL GO INTO A HIGH RPM REV. TURNED OFF SPEED CONTROL OR STEPPING ON THE BRAKES THIS CONDITION CONTINUED FOR 30 SECONDS. TOOK CAR TO DEALERSHIP, THERE WAS NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR ERROR CODES IN THE COMPUTER OR ANY FACTORY RECALL ON THIS CONDITION. THIS PROBLEM HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES. DEALERSHIP HAS TO GET IN TOUCH WITH FACTORY TO GET HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM. CAN'T USE SPEED CONTROL WHERE HILLS ARE INVOLVED, OR NOT AT ALL. THIS OPTION OR FUNCTION IS BAD! THE CONSUMER WAS TOLD NOT TO USE THE SPEED CONTROL AND TO SHUT IT OFF WHEN TRAVELING DOWN HILL. BUT, IT WAS OK TO USE UP HILLS OR ON LEVEL ROADS. THE VEHICLE COULD SHUT OFF WHEN THE ENGINE REVVING IS TOO HIGH, BUT IT WAS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE. HAVING NO POWER BRAKES OR STEERING WAS DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE. CHRYSLER INFORMED THE CONSUMER THEY WERE GOING TO LOOK INTO POSSIBLE SOFTWARE UPDATES OR A MECHANICAL FIX TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. THEY DID NOT FEEL IT WOULD BE A QUICK FIX, SO THE CONSUMER WOULD HAVE TO LIVE WITH THE DEFECT. UPDATED 07/13/10 *TR
LEMON VEHICLE BUT DEALER STATES THAT IT IS NOT: 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN SXT 4.0L , INTERMITTENT STALLING OF THE ENGINE WITHOUT WARNING OR SERVICE LIGHTS, WILL RESTART. STALLING BEGAN IN JUNE 2010, WAS PURCHASED IN 3/10. DEALER HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO REPLICATE THE STALLING FAILURE DUE TO THE INTERMITTENT NATURE. REPAIRS ATTEMPTED: REPROGRAMMING, MOVING A WIRING HARNESS, REPLACEMENT OF WIRELESS CONTROL MODULE. SEEMS TO STALL MORE ON LEFT TURNS, OR WHEN OUTSIDE TEMPERATURES ARE 90+ DEGREES FOR LONG PERIODS. ALSO HAD TO HAVE REAR BRAKES AND ROTORS REPLACED DUE TO PREMATURE WARPING AND BRAKE FAILURE: REPAIR REPLACED COMPONENTS, ONLY TO STILL HAVE DRIVER SIDE WORKING HARDER THAN LEFT AND FRONT BRAKES, FINALLY OIL LEAK APPEARED AND DIAGNOSIS WAS A FAILED OIL COOLER, REPAIR: REPLACE OIL COOLER: TO BE DONE ON 10/4/10. OVERALL VEHICLE IS UNSAFE DUE TO THE UNANNOUNCED STALLING ISSUE. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY. THE CONTACT STATED THE FAILURE OCCURRED APPROXIMATELY FIVE DIFFERENT TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTICS TESTING YET THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND ADVISED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 11V139000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. WE BOUGHT OUR 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN NEW IN APRIL OF 2010. SHORTLY AFTER WE BOUGHT IT, I DROVE OVER A SPEED BUMP AND THE VAN ENGINE SHUT OFF. THIS TURNED OFF THE RADIO, POWER STEERING...EVERYTHING ELECTRICAL. I WROTE IT OFF TO GOING OVER A SPEED BUMP TOO QUICKLY. A FEW WEEKS LATER, THE VAN SHUT DOWN AS I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 40 MPH DOWN THE ROAD. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID MY KEY CHAIN WAS TOO HEAVY. THIS MADE SENSE, SO I REMOVED KEYS. THE PROBLEM STILL CONTINUED. TO DATE, THE VAN HAS SHUT DOWN OVER 30 TIMES AND HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN ONE ACCIDENT DUE TO THIS ISSUE. IT HAS SHUT DOWN WHILE TURNING LEFT INTO TRAFFIC, DRIVING 60 MPH DOWN THE EXPRESSWAY IN THE RAIN, DRIVING SLOWLY IN A SUBDIVISION. THERE IS NO RHYME OR REASON AS TO WHEN OR WHY IT SHUTS DOWN. THIS IS AN UNPREDICTABLE PROBLEM. COUNTLESS SENSORS HAVE BEEN REPLACED. CHRYSLER HAS SENT THE VAN TO THREE DIFFERENT DEALERS TO FIX THE PROBLEM. WHEN THE VAN SHUTS DOWN, THE ENGINE TURNS OFF, THE RADIO, HEAT/AC, POWER STEERING...EVERYTHING SHUTS OFF. IF I PUT THE VAN IN NEUTRAL AND TURN THE KEY, THE VAN WILL TYPICALLY TURN BACK ON. ON THREE OCCASIONS THE VAN DID NOT TURN BACK ON SO I HAD TO MANIPULATE THE VAN OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD (WHICH IS VERY DIFFICULT WITHOUT POWER STEERING), PUT IT IN PARK, THEN RESTART IT. THIS IS A LEASED VEHICLE. I HAD IT APPROXIMATELY 6 MONTHS WHEN DRIVING 65 MPH ON A FREEWAY THE ENGINE ABRUPTLY STOPPED JUST LIKE SOMEONE TURNED THE KEY OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND A DIAGNOSTIC WAS PERFORMED. THE FAILURE WAS LOCATED AS THE CD JOINT SEAL, WHICH FAILED AND CAUSED THE LUBRICANT TO COVER THE FRONT SUSPENSION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 22 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 24,165.

ON AUGUST 22, 2013 DCH DODGE IN TEMECULA, CA FINALLY FOUND THE PROBLEM THEY REMOVED THE ALARM SYSTEM AND SAID THAT NOT ALL OF THE WIRES WERE CONNECTED. ON APRIL 22, 2014 MY TRANSMISSION STARTED LEAKING THEY ADDED DYE TO FIND THE LEAK REPLACED RIGHT AND LEFT AXLE SEALS.OIL PAN GASKET WAS ALSO REPLACED. I BOUGHT A 2010 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN SXT. THE COMPANY WILL NOT TURN ON THE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS. THEY ALWAYS TURNED THEM ON WHEN I BOUGHT PREVIOUS YEAR VANS. I PURCHASED A 2010 DODGE CARAVAN IN APRIL OF 2010 WITH 19 MILES ON IT. IN AUGUST WITH ONLY APROX 7300 MILES I HAD THE REAR ROTORS REPLACED, BECAUSE THEY WERE TOO BAD TO TURN. I ALSO COMPLAINED ABOUT THE SLIDING DOORS RUBBING FENDERS. IN OCTOBER WITH 11000 MILES I PLACED THE VAN BACK IN SHOP FOR DOORS RUBBING FENDER AND REAR ROTORS. AT THIS THEY TURNED THE ROTORS AND BUFFED OUT FENDERS. IN DECEMBER BRAKE CALIPERS WERE STICKING SO THEY PUT A ADAPTER ON THE CALIPERS THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO KEEP THE BRAKES FROM STICKING. IN MAY WITH 19000 MILES I HAD THE VAN IN SHOP FOR FRONT BRAKES AND ROTORS (RECALL). WHILE IN SHOP THEY CHECKED THE REAR AND FOUND REAR ROTORS WERE BAD AGAIN, AT MY COST OF 300.00. HAD THE CAR INSPECTED WITH ONLY 2,000 MILES ON THE NEW REAR ROTORS AND FOUND THEY HAVE HOTSPOTS ON THEM ALREADY. THE MECHANIC SUGGESTED I HAVE THE REAR ROTORS REPLACED AGAIN BEFORE THE 12,000 MILES ARE UP. HE SAID THERE ARE ALREADY HOTSPOTS ON THE REAR.I WILL BE PUTTING MY 2010 DODGE CARAVAN IN SHOP AGAIN WITH 23,500 MILES FOR REAR ROTORS AND RATTLE NOISE IN REAR. I AM SICK OF THIS, I HONESTLY THINK CHRYSLER IS A JOKE. 7300,11000,19000, AND NOW 23500. WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE TO GET THIS PROBLEM FIXED? CRUISE CONTROL ACTIVE ON OUR 2010 GRAND CARAVAN. WHEN GOING DOWN LONG HILL, TRANSMISSION WILL DOWN SHIFT ON OWN-3 GEAR LEVELS-HARD & RPM AS OBSERVED ON TAC APPROACHED 5000. HAD TO DISENGAGE CRUISE.
