WHEN I TRY TO START THE CAR IT WILL NOT START. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES AND WILL EVENTUALLY START AFTER TRYING UP TO 30 TIMES. THE BATTERY AND THE STARTER HAVE BEEN REPLACED AND THE ISSUE CONTINUES TO HAPPEN. ALSO JUMPING THE CAR DOES NOT HELP

I CONTACTED FOX NEGAUNEE FOR REPAIR OF THE "REAR QUARTER VENT WINDOW SWITCH RECALL" ON 04/15/2015. I MADE A FOLLOW UP CALL A FEW MONTHS LATER. I STILL HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED FOR REPAIR OF THIS RECALL. I HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED AN ISSUE WITH THE PART; HOWEVER, AS A RECALL, IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED IN A TIMELY MANNER. I AM DISAPPOINTED. I KEEP GETTING THESE NOTICES IN THE MAIL. WHEN I CALLED INITIALLY, I WAS TOLD I WAS 60TH IN LINE.
I WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH AND THE VEHICLE JUST SHUT DOWN, THE POWERING STEERING WENT OUT AND THE ENGINE STALLED WHICH WE LATER FOUND OUT WAS DUE TO THE FAULTY TIPM. WE HAD ALSO BEEN HAVING A FEW ISSUES WITH THE FUEL PUMP.....THE FUEL PUMP WAS NOT SHUTTING OFF AND ALL LEAD TO PROBLEMS WITH BEING ABLE TO START THE VEHICLE SOMETIMES IT TOOK SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO EVEN GET VEHICLE STARTED.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 10 MPH THE THIRD ROW REAR DRIVER'S SIDE PASSENGER ATTEMPTED TO ADJUST THE SEAT BELT. THE SEAT BELT BEGAN TO RETRACT AND FAILED TO UNBUCKLE. THE SEAT BELT HAD TO BE FRACTURED IN ORDER TO RELEASE THE PASSENGER. THE PASSENGER SUSTAINED MINOR BRUISES ON THE ABDOMEN THAT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND SENT A SPECIAL INVESTIGATOR TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 71,000.

DRIVING HOME ON THE HIGHWAY MY 2011 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN CREW DIED. TRAVELING 60 MPH ON A SLIGHT INCLINE. ALL POWER SHUT DOWN WITHOUT WARNING. DASH LIGHTS/ACCEL./POWER STEERING ALL DIED. I STRUGGLED TO PULL TO THE SHOULDER AND TRIED TO RESTART 10 TIMES. IT WOULD TRY TO CRANK AND SOUND LIKE IT WAS STARTING, BUT THEN NEVER WOULD STAY RUNNING. CALLED A RELATIVE FOR A RIDE HOME, THINKING I WOULD NEED TO HAVE THE VAN TOWED TO THE SHOP. AFTER WAITING ABOUT 15 MIN. FOR MY RIDE I DECIDED ONE LAST TIME TO TRY TO START IT. IT FIRED RIGHT UP. I KEPT IT RUNNING; MY RIDE FOLLOWED ME HOME THE 5 MILES TO ENSURE NO MORE SHUT DOWNS. TOOK IT TO OUR DODGE DEALER AND HAD TO LEAVE IT. 2 DAYS LATER FINALLY GOT SOMEONE TO REPORT THE PROBLEM. THEY HAD TROUBLE GETTING THE VAN TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE TO START. ACCORDING TO THE TECHNICIAN, IT NEEDED A NEW TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE, AT A COST OF $900. I PURCHASED THIS VAN AS THE THIRD OWNER MAY 2015 WITH JUST 40,900 MILES. SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASING THE VAN MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS STARTED ON THEIR OWN AND WOULDN'T STOP NO MATTER WHAT SETTING YOU TURNED THE WIPER CONTROL TO. THAT WAS THE ONLY OTHER TIME WE'VE HAD THIS VAN IN THE SHOP OTHER THAN OIL CHANGES. WE PAID $179.00 TO FIX THE 'WIPER MECHANISM'. LOOKING BACK, I SEE THAT PROBLEM WAS SURELY RELATED TO THE FAILING "TIPM" THE TECHNICIAN EVEN STATED THAT THIS WAS CERTAINLY A RELATED ISSUE. THE VAN HAS SAT IN THE GARAGE UNABLE TO START THE LAST 40 DAYS. NOW THAT I'VE RESEARCHED DODGE AND THEIR HISTORY OF FAULTY TIPM'S, I AM HESITANT TO EVEN HAVE IT REPAIRED-BUT I NEED MY VAN. I CAN'T SELL IT TO ANYONE IN THIS CONDITION. IT'S MY DAILY DRIVER, AND HAS WAY TOO LOW MILEAGE TO GET RID OF IT. WE HAVE BEEN STUCK SHARING A VEHICLE. I'M READING ABOUT NUMEROUS OTHERS HAVING THIS SAME PROBLEM. DODGE, PLEASE DO THE RIGHT THING AND RECALL THE TIPM. *TR
PREVIOUS OWNER OF MY VEHICLE DESCRIBED PROBLEMS WITH BRAKES BUT SAID DEALER FIXED THEM. HAVE HAD TO REPLACE PADS TWICE AND NOW HAVE GRINDING SOUND COMING FROM FRONT BRAKE AREA. CAR IS UNDER 45,000 MILES. HAVE SEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ON BRAKES FOR DODGE CARAVANS ON THE INTERNET. WHY IS DODGE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR FIXING THE PROBLEM? BRAKES SHOULD NOT BE WEARING OUT THIS QUICKLY. THIS IS A COSTLY PROBLEM AND I THINK A RECALL IS NEEDED GIVEN THE NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS I'VE SEEN.

WE HAVE A 2011 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. WE ARE GETTING TO THE POINT THAT THIS VAN IS NOT WORTH THE STRESS. WE DID NOT GET THIS VAN BRAND NEW HOWEVER IT DIDN'T HAVE MANY MILES, IF I REMEMBER RIGHT 62,000 ON IT. LESS THEN A YEAR AGO WE HAD TO FIX ALL FOUR BRAKES AND ROTORS (AT 65,000 MILES) . LAST WEEK WHEN IT WENT FOR INSPECTION (AT 73600 MILES) IT WOULDN'T PASS BECAUSE OF THE ROTORS, SO ONCE AGAIN WE HAD TO GET THEM FIXED. WE ARE ON DAY 7 AND ARE ALREADY SEEING THE SAME PROBLEM AND KNOWING WE WILL HAVE TO HAVE THEM FIXED AGAIN! I CAN TELL BY HOW THE VAN IS SQUEALING THAT WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO REPLACE THE BRAKES AND ROTORS AGAIN SOON. WE HAVE ALREADY SPENT OVER $1500 IN THE SAME REPAIRS IN LESS THEN A YEAR. I HAVE LOOKED UP DODGE VANS AND I SEE A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. SERIOUSLY I HAVE A FAMILY AND IF THESE BRAKES AND ROTORS FAIL I WILL NOT BE HAPPY. THE CAR STOP RUNNING WHILE DRIVING PUT AT RISK THE PEOPLE IN THE CAR.SOMETIMES I HAVE TO CRANK THE ENGINE FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES AND THEN THE CAR RUN. MY CAR WAS NOT ON AND WAS STATIONARY, IN MY DRIVE WAY. I WENT TO START MY CAR TO MOVE IT AND IT WOULDN'T START. I DID SOME CHECKING ON THE INTERNET AND FOUND THAT THE TIPM WAS HAVING ISSUES. I MADE A BYPASS FROM THE PASSENGER OUTLET TO THE FUEL PUMP RELAY TO GET POWER. THIS IS A TEMPORARY FIX BUT IT HAS WORKED SO FAR. I HAVE ADDED A PICTURE OF MY BYPASS FOR DOCUMENTATION.

THEY HAD BEEN CONFERRING WITH DODGE REPRESENTATIVE WHO AFTER 1 WEEK STATED TO GIVE VEHICLE BACK TO CUSTOMER. AFTER EXTENSIVE RESEARCH I FEEL IT IS A FAULTY TIPM, HOWEVER DODGE APPARENTLY DOES NOT THINK SO. SO I HAVE A VEHICLE THAT CAN STALL AT ANY TIME...DODGE KNOWS THERE IS A PROBLEM AND THEY JUST DON'T CARE. I WILL SAY THE DEALERSHIP WAS GREAT, FREE LOANER CAR, NO CHARGE FOR DIAGNOSTIC AND THEY GENUINELY FELT BAD TO HAND THE CAR BACK OVER...I DID NOT BUY MY VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP, HOWEVER THEY TREATED ME AS IF I WAS A CUSTOMER OF THEIRS. *TR

TIPM IS BAD. CONFIRMED WITH DODGE DEALERSHIP SERVICE CENTER. PROBLEM CRANKING IN THE MORNING AND ESPECIALLY IN COLD TEMPERATURES. BRAKE LIGHT COMES ON AND OFF WHILE DRIVING AMONG OTHER SENSORS. VERY DANGEROUS AND MUST BE RECALLED.
FOR 1 MONTH THE VEHICLE WAS DIFFICULT TO START. IT WOULD CRANK JUST FINE, BUT THE ENGINE WOULD NOT 'IGNITE' (ESPECIALLY WHEN COLD.) THE VEHICLE WOULD FINALLY START AFTER 5-10 LONG ATTEMPTS (TURNING THE ENGINE OVER AND OVER AND THEN TURNING THE KEY TO THE OFF POSITION BEFORE TRYING AGAIN.) THIS DIFFICULT STARTUP ISSUE LASTED FOR 4 WEEKS. AT THAT POINT THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO STALL AFTER RUNNING FOR 10 - 20 MINUTES (SOMETIMES WHILE DRIVING.) FINALLY, AFTER PARKING THE VEHICLE ONE EVENING, THE FUEL PUMP CONTINUED TO RUN AFTER THE ENGINE WAS SHUT OFF AND THE KEY WAS REMOVED. IT WASN'T NOTICED RIGHT AWAY, SO BY MORNING THE BATTERY WAS COMPLETELY DEAD. ALL MY RESEARCH INDICATED THE FUEL RELAY IS FAULTY. BUT THE RELAY IS BUILT INTO THE TIPM AND THERE IS NO EASY FIX. THIS SEEMS TO BE HAPPENING ON ALL 2011 CHRYSLER/DODGE VEHICLES AND THERE IS EVEN A RECALL ON THE DODGE DURANGO FOR THE ISSUE. THIS FAULTY TIPM NEEDS TO BE RECALLED AND REPLACED. MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP HAS SUGGESTED THAT I GET THE RELAY 'FIXED" USING THE FIX MENTIONED IN THE DURANGO RECALL. THE SERVICE ADVISER SUGGESTED IT WOULD BE AROUND $400 (NO GUARANTEE) AND THAT IT WOULD BE REIMBURSED IF THE RECALL WAS EXTENDED TO MY MAKE OF VEHICLE AT SOME POINT IN THE FUTURE. I'M WORRIED THAT THEY ARE GOING TO MAKE IT WORSE AND WRECK THE TIPM, WHICH IS A PART THAT COSTS OVER $1000 (AND HARD TO FIND.) I HOPE TO UPDATE THIS COMPLAINT AFTER THE VEHICLE IS 'FIXED.' *JS
OUR VAN WOULD NOT START. THE KEY WAS STUCK IN THE IGNITION, SO I HAD THE VAN JUMPED, THEN TOWED TO THE DEALER WHO SAID THAT THE BATTERY CONNECTORS WERE LOOSE AND THAT WAS THE ISSUE WITH THE NON-START. WE GET THE VAN BACK AND EXACTLY ONE WEEK LATER, THE VAN WILL NOT START AGAIN. THIS TIME I CHECK THE BATTERY CABLES, THEY ARE GOOD, SO I TRY TO JUMP THE VAN. THIS TIME NOTHING HAPPENS, SO I HAVE IT TOWED. THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER HAVING REMEMBERED ME FROM LAST WEEK SAYS HE THINKS ITS A BAD BATTERY AND HIS SHOP CAN INSTALL A NEW BATTERY NO PROBLEM. SO I TAKE HIS WORD. WE GET TO THEIR SHOP BUT THEY FIND THAT THE BATTERY IS NOT THE ISSUE. THEIR DIAGNOSTIC SHOWS THAT THE WIN MODULE NEEDS TO BE RESET AND POTENTIALLY THE ENTIRE SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE FLASHED. SO THEY GET THE VAN RUNNING AGAIN, I DRIVE IT HOME. THE NEXT DAY, DEAD. I TRY TO JUMP IT AGAIN, NOTHING AGAIN; HOWEVER, I AM NOW ARMED WITH POTENT INFORMATION. SO I HAVE THE VAN TOWED TO THE DEALER AGAIN. THEY REMEMBER ME TOO NOW. I TELL THEM WHAT WAS FOUND FROM THE DIAGNOSTIC RAN FROM THE SHOP. THUS FAR THEY ARE SAYING THAT EVERYTHING IS TESTING FINE BUT THEY ARE NOT SURE WHAT IS DRAINING THE BATTERY. I FEEL THEY ARE TOTALLY UNAWARE OF THE TIPM FAILURE THAT IS CURRENTLY UNDER INVESTIGATION. I WILL ALERT THEM OF THIS, BUT I AM NOT VERY HOPEFUL AS THE PART IS APPARENTLY ON A NATIONAL BACK ORDER. I WAS DRIVING TO GO PICK UP MY WIFE AND I WAS ON A BACK TWO LANE ROAD WHEN MY VAN JUST SHUT OFF. I PUT IT IN NEUTRAL AND IT TOOK A COUPLE OF TIMES TO RESTART BUT EVENTUALLY DID. SINCE THEN MY VEHICLE HAS HAD A FEW ISSUES WITH STARTING. I HAVE HAD A MECHANIC LOOK AT IT BUT HE SEES NOTHING WRONG. IT ALSO HAPPENED TO MY WIFE WHILE TRAVELING DOWN THE ROAD. WE KEEP HAVING TO HAVE ROAD SIDE ASSISTANCE TO COME JUMP START IT. TODAY JANUARY 17, 2015 THE MAN COME OUT TO JUMP START IT AND IT IS COMPLETELY DEAD. FOR OVER A YEAR HAVE ATTEMPTED TO HAVE RECALL P25/ NHTSA 14V-234 REMEDIATED AT LOCAL DEALER SPOT DODGE IN PLEASENTVILLE NJ. EACH TIME THERE IS AN EXCUSE AND THE PROMISE OF A CALL WHEN THE RECALL CAN BE COMPLETED. TO DATE HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A CALL.
THE VAN HAS HAD A NUMBER OF RECENT ISSUES WITH NOT STARTING, OR STALLING AFTER THE CAR WAS ALREADY RUNNING. BOTH ISSUES ARE DANGEROUS (BEING STRANDED OR CAR CUTTING OFF RANDOMLY). THE DEALERSHIP SAID THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE TIPM. AFTER DOING RESEARCH ON MY OWN, THIS APPEARS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE, AND THE REPAIR IS OVER $1000. I CAN'T BELIEVE THERE HAS NOT YET BEEN A RECALL FOR THIS, BUT FEEL STRONGLY THAT ONE SHOULD BE ISSUED.
BOUGHT THIS USED VAN IN NOVEMBER AND HAD PROBLEMS WITH IT FROM THE TIME WE BOUGHT IT. THOUGHT IT WAS A TCIM FAILURE DODGE REPAIR SHOP SAID, NO, THE VIN NUMBER WAS NOT ONE THAT WAS AFFECTED BY TCIM FAILURE. HAD THE FUEL PUMP REPLACED BY ANOTHER SHOP. TOOK IT HOME AND WOULD NOT START AGAIN THE NEXT DAY. THE SHOP TOWED IT BACK AND FOUND THAT IT IS THE TCIM CAUSING THE FUEL PUMP FAILURE. WAITING TO SEE WHAT WILL BE THE ADDITIONAL COST, BESIDES THE $600 + TO CHANGE THE FUEL PUMP.
ON THANKSGIVING MORNING 2014, ME AND MY FAMILY WENT OUT TO GO TO VISIT FAMILY FOR THANKSGIVING DINNER, BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. IT WOULD CRANK AND CRANK, BUT NEVER COME CLOSE TO TURNING OVER. THE GAS TANK WAS FULL, THE BATTERY WAS FINE, BUT CLEARLY IT WASN'T GETTING GAS. WE OBVIOUSLY COULDN'T GO ANYWHERE. AFTER USING OUR OTHER VEHICLE, WE MANAGED TO MAKE IT TO DINNER (THOUGH OBVIOUSLY LATE). THE NEXT DAY, I HAD THE CAR TOWED IN, AND SEVERAL DAYS LATER WHEN THE DEALERSHIP FINALLY HAD THE TIME TO ANALYZE WHAT WAS WRONG, I WAS NOTIFIED OF THE TIPM PROBLEM. SO FAR, IT'S BEEN NEARLY A WEEK AND THERE IS STILL NO FURTHER NEWS ON WHEN WE CAN GET IT FIXED. I'VE BEEN TOLD THERE ARE ONLY 300 TIPM'S IN THE COUNTRY AND THAT THEY ARE UNSURE WHEN THEY CAN GET THE PART. THUS FAR, I'VE BEEN TOLD THAT IT WOULD BE COVERED BY MY EXTENDED WARRANTY, AND THAT THE PART IS "APPROXIMATELY" $700 AND LABOR WOULD BE "ABOUT" $200, SO I DON'T YET KNOW WHAT IT'LL COST. I DO KNOW THAT IT WILL COST ME $50 FOR THE WARRANTY DEDUCTIBLE. WHILE THAT IS NOT A LARGE AMOUNT, THE MORE TROUBLING ISSUE IS THAT I'M NOW PAYING FOR THE LOAN AND INSURANCE ON A VEHICLE THAT I CANNOT USE FOR REASONS THAT WERE ENTIRELY OUT OF MY CONTROL AND FOR A PERIOD OF TIME THAT IS UNKNOWN. *JS

THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. HOWEVER, THE PARTS NEEDED TO DO THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 77,000.

AFTER BEING TOLD BY THE DEALER OUR VAN WOULDN'T START DUE TO THE ALTERNATOR, WE DECIDED TO HAVE THE ALTERNATOR LOOKED AT. THE OTHER MECHANIC FOUND NOTHING TO BE WRONG WITH THE ALTERNATOR. THE DEALER ALSO SAID WE NEEDED OUR FUEL PUMP REPLACED. WE HAVE HAD OTHER VEHICLES THAT NEEDED FUEL PUMPS REPLACED AND WHEN THE FUEL PUMP WENT OUT WE WERE NOT ABLE TO DRIVE IT AT ALL. MY HUSBAND WAS AT AN APPOINTMENT AND AFTER TURNING OFF VAN HE HEARD SOMETHING RUNNING. THE SOUND WAS TRACKED TO THE FUEL PUMP. SO THE DEALER WASTED OUR TIME AND MONEY ALL THE TIME TRYING TO HAVE US REPLACE PARTS THAT WOULD NOT HAVE CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. AFTER CALLING AND TRYING TO GET A FUEL PUMP REGULATOR WE DISCOVERED THE FUEL PUMP REGULATOR IS BUILT INTO THE TIPM. WE HAVE A FAULTY TIPM. I WISH DODGE WOULD GET OFF THEIR BUTT AND ISSUE A RECALL ALREADY. THE ONLY WAY A CAN SHUT THE FUEL PUMP OFF IS TO UNHOOK THE BATTERY. *TR

I DRIVE THE VAN HOME AND IT STARTS THE NEXT MORNING BUT NOT AT LUNCH. THIS VAN HAS LEFT ME AND MY FAMILY STRANDED SO MANY TIMES I COULD CRY. OUR 2011 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN STARTED HAVING MAJOR ELECTRICAL ISSUES, WHERE THE VEHICLE WOULD RUN, BUT THE BLINKERS, THE DASH LIGHTS, HEATER/AC, RADIO, AND BLUETOOTH WOULD ALL NOT WORK AT ONCE. THE WIN MODULE HAD TO BE REPLACED. AS SOON AS THAT WAS DONE, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. THEN, SHORTLY AFTERWARDS, WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN OUR ENCLOSED GARAGE WE NOTICED A PHANTOM NOISE COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. AFTER INVESTIGATION WE WERE ABLE TO DETERMINE THAT THE VEHICLE HAD NOT TURNED ALL THE WAY OFF, BUT WAS IN FACT STILL RUNNING AND PRODUCING CARBON MONOXIDE. WE TRIED TURNING IT ON AND OFF AGAIN SEVERAL TIMES TO SEE IF IT WOULD TURN ALL OF THE WAY OFF, TO NO AVAIL. LET ME BE CLEAR. OUR VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF. IT WAS IN AN ENCLOSED GARAGE WITH THE USUAL AMOUNT OF VENTILATION, I.E. VERY LITTLE. LIKE MOST HOMES, WE HAVE BEDROOMS BOTH ABOVE THE GARAGE, AS WELL AS ONE NEXT TO IT. SO, BEING UNABLE TO MAKE OUR CAR SAFE TO PARK IN THE GARAGE, WE HAD BACK IT OUT INTO THE DRIVEWAY, WHERE IT RAN UNTIL THE BATTERY DIED. THEN, MY HUSBAND, DROVE THE CAR TWICE TO THE REPAIR SHOPS AND BOTH TIMES THE ODOMETER STOPPED WORKING, THE GAS PEDAL WOULD NOT WORK, ALL DASHBOARD LIGHTS CAME ON, HE COULD NOT ACCELERATE, AND THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT. THE SECOND TIME IT DIED ON A MAIN ROAD, AND HAD TO BE TOWED. *TR
