DRIVER SIDE DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR HAS FAULTED RESULTING LOUD BUZZ SOUND DUE TO THE ELECTRICAL MOTOR IN ACTUATOR TO NOT PROPERLY MOVE. FEARFUL OF A ELECTRICAL SHORT OCCURRING ESPECIALLY SINCE THIS WHERE MY 4YR OLD DAUGHTER HAS TO SIT. ALSO IF THE LOCK POSSIBLY GOES COMPLETELY OUT I'M FEARFUL OF 2 THINGS 1. AS MY DAUGHTER SIT BY THAT DOOR IT AT ANY MOMENT BECOMES NOT LOCKED ALLOWING HER TO OPEN WHILE VEHICLE IN OPERATION 2. VEHICLE NO LONGER LOCKED WHILE VEHICLE UNATTENDED ALLOWING ANYONE ACESS IT'S BEEN BUYING FOR AWHILE NOW HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY SAFETY RECALL INFORMATION ON THIS YET. THANK YOU
DRIVER'S SIDE REAR SLIDING DOOR, ALL OF A SUDDEN, WILL NOT OPERATE. NOTIFICATION ON PANEL SAYS "UNLOCK DOOR TO OPERATE" EVEN THOUGH ALL DOORS ARE UNLOCKED. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS THE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN AND PASSENGERS CAN NOT ESCAPE ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE IN THE CASE OF AN EMERGENCY. MANY, MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAVE HAD THE SAME COMPLAINT.
I APPROACHED MY CAR AND HIT THE BUTTON ON MY REMOTE TO OPEN THE DRIVER SIDE SLIDING DOOR. I PLACED MY ITEMS IN THE CAR AND PUSHED THE DOOR CLOSE BUTTON. I DROVE TO MY DESTINATION AND WHEN TRYING TO OPEN THE DOOR TO RETRIEVE MY ITEMS THE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN. I HAVE TRIED USING THE REMOTE, THE BUTTON IN THE CAR & MANUALLY OPENING. THE DOOR SEEMS TO BE STUCK IN THE LOCKED POSITION AND WILL NOT OPEN. MY HUSBAND HAS TRIED ALL OF THE ABOVE AND CHECKED THE FUSES TO MAKE SURE IT WASN'T JUST A BLOWN FUSE. MY DOOR IS NOW STUCK CLOSED AND I DRIVE AROUND WITH MY CHILDREN IN THE CAR ALL THE TIME. NOW I AM WORRIED IF WE ARE IN AN ACCIDENT THAT THE DOOR CANNOT BE OPENED.
VEHICLE PULSES WHILE SHIFTING THROUGH GEARS, GOOGLE SHOWS A RECALL S44, FOR TRANSAXLE OIL PUMP. I CALLED DODGE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAS TOLD BY OPERATOR THAT IT DOES SHOW UP IN THE SERVICE NOTIFICATION. SO I CALLED DEALERSHIP TO SCHEDULE APPOINTMENT, AND WAS TOLD IT'S NOT A RECALL. SO I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AGAIN, GOT A DIFFERENT OPERATOR, WHO TOLD ME THAT SHE ALSO SEES IT IN THE SERVICE NOTIFICATION, SHE CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND TALKED TO THEM, PATCHED ME THROUGH TO SCHEDULE APPOINTMENT, AND DEALERSHIP TOLD ME IT WOULDN'T BE COVERED, AND THAT I WILL HAVE TO PAY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR DRIVER SIDE SLIDING DOOR FAILED TO OPEN AND CLOSE. IN ADDITION, WHILE ATTEMPTING TO OPEN OR CLOSE THE SLIDING DOOR AN ABNORMAL BUZZING SOUND WAS HEARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ARRIGO DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM DEALER, (5901 MADISON AVE, TAMARAC, FL 33321) BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THE VEHICLE WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED. THERE WAS NO ADDITIONAL ASSISTANCE PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 22,000.
BOTH SLIDING DOORS LOCKING MECHANISM HAVE MALFUNCTIONED. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM ON THIS VEHICLE. EITHER THE DOOR IS STUCK IN LOCKED POSITION (DRIVER SIDE) OR IN UNLOCKED POSITION (PASSENGER SIDE). NEITHER THE POWER LOCKING/UNLOCKING FUNCTION CHANGES THIS, NOT MANUALLY SLIDING THE LOCK. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AS CHILDREN IN BACK OF VAN MAY BE UNABLE TO EXIT VEHICLE IN CASE OF ACCIDENT. DRIVER'S SIDE SLIDING DOOR STUCK IN LOCKED POSITION. 46,544 MILES
I bought a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan in December 2019. I just recently learned of a recall for the sliding door actuators. The driver side sliding door stopped working about 3 months after I purchased said vehicle and has never worked since. The passenger sliding door has been having problems since early 2020, about 1 year after purchasing said vehicle. Just recently it (passenger door) has not been closing nor sometimes not opening. I find this as a hazard when I am carrying family/friends, or even myself. If the vehicle were to have a fire, collision, it would be very hard for someone to enter/exit the vehicle. I am asking to have my vehicle repaired as such "recall" was made on my 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan, and I was not notified by the auto dealer, in person, nor by mail.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V461000 (POWER TRAIN) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. WITH ECON ON, VEHICLE RUNS VERY ROUGH, SKIPS AND SHUTTERS.
DRIVER'S SIDE SLIDING DOOR IS LOCKED AN UNABLE TO OPEN USING ANY METHOD SUCH AS MANUALLY, ELECTRIC LOCKS OR REMOTE FOB. THE VAN WAS STATIONARY
WHILE DRIVING, SEVERAL DASH PANEL LIGHTS FLASHED, LOST POWER STEERING, LOST ABILITY TO INCREASE SPEED WITH GAS PEDAL. ENGINE STAYED ON BUT ONLY AT IDLE. ABLE TO GET OUT OF TRAFFIC ONTO SIDE ROAD AND STOP. TURNED KEY TO OFF AND THEN TRIED TO START CAR AGAIN. IT WORKED ON THE SECOND TRY. SEEMED TO OPERATE NORMALLY WITH ONLY THE CLOCK RESET TO 12:00AM. THIS SAME SEQUENCE HAPPENED TWICE, ABOUT A WEEK APART. NO RAIN EITHER TIME BOTH DURING DAYLIGHT.
THE SLIDING DOOR LOCKS ARE MAKING A LOUD BUZZING SOUND AND NOT LOCKING PROPERLY WHEN I USE MY REMOTE TO LOCK THE VAN. I HAVE TO MANUALLY UNLOCK AND LOCK THE DOOR.
DRIVER SIDE REAR SLIDING DOOR STARTED MAKEING A BUZZING NOISE WHEN YOU WOULD LOCK AND UNLOCK DOOR AFTER A FEW DAYS THE DOOR LOCK FAILED, AND NOW I CANT OPEN DOOR MANUALLY OR REMOTELY. THEY NEED A RECALL, MINE AIN'T THE ONLY ONE THAT HAS BROKEN, LOOK IT UP YOU'LL FIND MORE COMPLAINTS!
THE REAR SLIDING DOOR BEHIND THE DRIVERS SEAT HAS BECOME STUCK IN THE LOCK POSITION OVERNIGHT. THE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM OUTSIDE OR INSIDE. NOTHING CAUSED THIS TO HAPPEN SUCH AS AN ACCIDENT OR FORCIBLY CLOSING THE DOOR. AFTER GOOGLING THIS ISSUE, I'VE DISCOVERED MANY, MANY CUSTOMERS HAVE HAD THIS EXACT SAME PROBLEM AND DODGE WILL NOT ISSUE A RECALL. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND COULD BE DEADLY WITH SMALL CHILDREN IN THE REAR WHO CANNOT ESCAPE THE VAN IN CASE OF FIRE OR AN ACCIDENT.
WE STOPPED TO GET GAY GAS WHILE ON VACATION, EVERYONE EXITED THE VAN AND SHUT ALL THE DOORS. WHEN WE CAME BACK AND I PUSHED THE BUTTON ON THE KEY FOB TO OPEN THE SLIDER DOORS OPEN O LY THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR OPENED. I WENT TO OPEN IT FROM THE INSIDE AND IT WOULDN'T BUDGE. I UNLOCKED ALL DOORS AND STILL WON'T OPEN. IT FEELS AS THOUGH THE MANUAL LOCK IS JAMMED ON LOCK POSITION!. I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. IF THERE WERE A NEED TO OPEN THAT DOOR IN AN EMERGENCY IT WOULD NOT WORK! I HAVE ALSO READ ON MULTIPLE CHAT SITES OF OTHER PEOPLE WITH THIS PROBLEM. I FEEL IT NEEDS A RECALL SO IT GETS FIXED.
THE LOCKS ON BOTH SLIDING SIDE DOORS HAVE STOPPED WORKING. THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR WILL NOT LOCK AND THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR HAS LOCKED AND WILL NOT UNLOCK. THE DRIVERS SIDE SLIDING DOOR IS UNUSABLE. THIS CONDITION IS UNSAFE AND IS DOCUMENTED BY MULTITUDES OF OTHER OWNERS. THESE LOCKS ARE NOT RELIABLE AND SHOULD BE RECALLED. THE COST IS APPROXIMATELY $1000 A DOOR AND IS NOT REASONABLE FOR AN OWNER TO ABSORB WHEN IT IS AN OBVIOUS DESIGN DEFICENCY.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AS THE RATE OF SPEED INCREASED, THE VEHICLE WOULD SHIFT OUT OF GEAR AND INTO NEUTRAL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V461000(POWER TRAIN). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 128,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MIRACLE CHRYSLER LOCATED AT 1290 NASHVILLE PIKE, GALLATIN, TN 37066, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE LOCKING MECHANISM WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE RIGHT SIDE DOOR MAKES A BUZZING SOUND WHEN THE DOOR IS UNLOCKED. THE DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR IS FAULTY
DRIVERS SIDE, PASSENGER SLIDING DOOR WILL NOT UNLOCK OR OPEN. DOESN'T MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE IF IT IS STATIONARY, OFF OR RUNNING. IN MY OPINION, THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE, ANYONE SITTING IN THAT POSITION REQUIRING EMERGENCY EGRESS, WOULD BE TRAPPED. I SUSPECT IT IS A BAD DOOR LOCKING SYSTEM, IT SHOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED WITH <40K MILES.
PASSENGER NON-POWER SLIDING DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM INSIDE OR OUTSIDE. CANNOT UNLOCK UNLESS YOU USE FOB WHILE HOLDING THE LOCK LEVER IN THE UNLOCK POSITION. THIS IS NOT SAFE IF SOMEONE NEEDS TO EXIT THE VEHICLE QUICKLY IN AN EMERGENCY. THE LOCK ALSO BUZZES EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE LOCKS AUTOMATICALLY. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND ALL DOORS HAD BEEN UNLOCKED BY THE KEYFOB. *TR
2016 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN, DRIVER SIDE REAR SLIDING DOOR. DOOR LOCK MAKES A LOUD BUZZING SOUND WHEN IT LOCKS AUTOMATICALLY, OR USING THE FOB. IT HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING AND THE VAN HITS 15 MILES AN HOUR WITH THE AUTO LOCK, AND WHEN STOPPED USING THE LOCK BUTTON ON THE ARM REST OR WITH THE FOB. THIS APPEARS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE.
THE LOCK ON THE BACK PASSENGER SIDE DOOR IS MALFUNCTIONING AND MAKES AN AWFUL NOISE EVERY TIME IT LOCKS OR UNLOCKS. SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T LOCK AT ALL OR WON'T UNLOCK. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS IF GOD FORBID THE CAR IS SUBMERGED (STUCK LOCKED) OR IF A CHILD OPENS THE DOOR WHILE MOVING (STUCK UNLOCKED). THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH 2016 DODGE GRAND CARAVANS IF YOU SEARCH THE INTERNET.
THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR BUZZES LOUDLY WHEN YOU UNLOCK THE DOOR. THIS HAPPENS WHEN YOU PUSH THE UNLOCK BUTTON INSIDE THE VAN, OR THE UNLOCK BUTTON ON THE KEY FOB.
WE HAVE PROBLEMS WITH BOTH THE REAR PASSENGER AND REAR DRIVER SIDE SLIDING DOORS ON OUR 2016 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN R/T. THE VAN HAD ABOUT 37,000 MILES ON IT AT THE TIME OF THE FIRST INCIDENT. THE REAR SLIDING DOORS WERE NOT UNLOCKING TO OPEN THEM WHILE WE WERE STOPED, AND IN PARK. THIS HAPPENED IN A PUBLIC PARKING LOT. THE ISSUE WITH THIS IS, WE COULDN'T OPEN THE DOORS TO LET OUR KIDS OUT OF THE VAN. THE OPEN/CLOSE SLIDING DOOR SWITCH IN THE VAN WOULD NOT OPEN THEM, NEITHER WOULD THE KEY FOB. WE TRIED TO UNLOCK IT MANUALLY ON THE DOOR ITSELF, BUT THE LOCK WAS STUCK IN THE LOCKED POSITION. I USED A LOT OF FORCE TO UNLOCK IT MANUALLY WITH NO LUCK. THE ACTUATORS THAT POWER THE MECHANICAL LOCKS FELT LIKE THEY WERE JAMMED AND WOULDN'T LET US UNLOCK THE DOORS MANUALLY. I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO GET IT UNLOCKED BY FORCING AND HOLDING THE MANUAL LOCK IN THE UNLOCK POSITION WHILE HITTING THE KEY FOB UNLOCK/LOCK FEATURE OVER AND OVER AGAIN. IT TOOK ME 10 MINUTES TO TROUBLESHOOT THIS IN ORDER TO GET THE KIDS OUT. IT NOW WORKS FOR AWHILE JUST FINE, AND THEN GETS STUCK AGAIN WHEN YOU LEAST EXPECT IT. I THOUGHT AFTER I HAD IT WORKING THAT IT WOULDN'T HAPPEN AGAIN. THIS HAS NOW HAPPENED FIVE MORE TIMES AFTER THE FIRST INCIDENT. THIS IS WHY I'M REPORTING IT. IF WE HAVE A EMERGENCY AND NEED TO GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE FAST, THESE DEFECTIVE DOORS COULD POTENTIALLY CAUSE INJURIES OR DEATH. THE SCARIEST PART ABOUT THIS IS, I NEVER KNOW WHEN THEY WILL ACT UP. I WOULD LEAVE THE DOORS UNLOCKED WHILE DRIVING, BUT THEY AUTOMATICALLY LOCK WHEN YOU REACH A CERTAIN SPEED. I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DISABLE A SAFETY FEATURE TO FEEL SAFE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE WITH PASSENGERS IN THE BACK.
DRIVING AT 65 MPH, THERE WAS A LURCH IN THE TRANSMISSION, AND THE CAR CAME TO A HALT ON THE HIGHWAY. THANKFULLY WE HAD TIME TO PULL THE VEHICLE OVER BEFORE IT STOPPED COMPLETELY. WE HAD IT TOWED TO A DODGE DEALER, WHERE WE FOUND OUT THAT THE TRANSMISSION PUMP FAILED. THIS FAILURE, NOT ONLY STOPPED THE CAR COMPLETELY, BUT HAS A REPAIR TICKET OF $5,400. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE FOR FCA, BUT THE PUMP FAILURE ONLY COVERS A LIMITED NUMBER OF VEHICLES. THIS PUMP FAILURE MAY BE EFFECTING MORE VEHICLES THAN INITIALLY THOUGHT.
SAFETY ISSUES WITH BOTH REAR SLIDING DOORS. THE PASSENGER DOOR STOPPED WORKING ALL TOGETHER. IT IS CLOSED AND WILL NOT OPEN USING AUTOMATIC OPENERS OR EVEN BY HAND. THE PASSENGER SIDE SLIDEING DOOR NOW MAKES A LOUD BUZZING NOISE ANY TIME YOU UNLOCK THE DOOR. THE DOOR STILL UNLOCKS AND LOCKS NORMALLY AND OPEN AND CLOSES NORMALLY BUT THE BUZZING NOISE JUST STARTED ABOUT A WEEK AGO. IT DOES THIS WHETHER THE VEHICLE IS RUNNING OR NOT. ONLY MAKES THE NOISE WHEN UNLOCKING THE DOOR, NOT LOCKING.
MY REAR DRIVERS SIDE DOOR LOCK WILL NOT MOVE BACK TO UNLOCK. THE KEY FAB, THE DOME BUTTON, NOT THE DOOR HANDLE WILL MOVE THE LOCK POSITION TO OPEN THE DOOR. I NOTICED IT AFTER I WAS DRIVING AND TURNED OFF THE CAR. IT HAPPENED AFTER THE CAR WAS STARTED AND THEN SHUT OFF AFTER DRIVING IT.
THE TRANSMISION DOES NOT WORK. THE VEHICLE DONT MOVE. THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY
WE HAVE PERFORMED VERY REGULAR MAINTENANCE ON OUR VEHICLE SINCE PURCHASING IT. WE REACHED 95K MILES AND OUT OF NOWHERE, WHILE DRIVING, IT LOST ABILITY TO PULL FORWARD AND STARTED WHINING LOUDLY. I TURNED IT OFF AND BACK ON AGAIN AND IT MOVED FORWARD INTO THE DRIVE BUT CONTINUED TO MAKE THE LOUD NOISE. RESEARCH POINTS TO POWER TRAIN AND 2016 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN HAD AN APPARENT RECALL ON THE POWER TRAIN TRANSMISSION PUMP. YOUR REPORT SHOWS 0 UNREPAIRED RECALLS. WHAT DO WE DO?

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 95,000.
TE LEFT CYLINDER HEAD WENT BAD AT 80,000 MILES
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT 45 MPH, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL SOUND AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OFF OF THE ROADWAY AND CONTACTED AND TOW TRUCK COMPANY TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO (STEVE WHITE MOTORS LOCATED AT 3470 HIGHWAY 70 SE, NEWTON, NC 28658), TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. UPON INVESTIGATION THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V461000 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. FAULTY DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR ON PASSENGER SIDE SLIDING DOOR. DOOR MAKES LOUD BUZZING SOUND EVERY TIME THE AUTOLOCK FEATURE IS ACTIVATED (15MPH). I AM CONCERNED THAT THE SLIDING DOOR NOT LOCKING CAN CAUSE AN ISSUE DURING A COLLISION.
WAS SITTING AT GAS STATION WITH THE VAN AT AN IDLE. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. AFTER RUNNING DIAGNOSTICS IT WAS DETERMINED IT HAD A CYLINDER 4 MISFIRE. I HAD THE SPARK PLUG AND IGNITION COIL REPLACED AND STILL HAVE THE CYLINDER 4 MISFIRE. HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT THE CYLINDER HEAD HAS GONE BAD AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I WAS ALSO TOLD MOPAR HAS HAD PROBLEMS LIKE THIS IN THE PAST.
THE DRIVER PASSENGER DOOR IS LOCK AND WILL NOT UNLOCK OR OPEN
OUR VAN STARTED TO SHUTTER AND WOULD SOMETIMES DIE WHEN WE COMING TO A STOP. IT THEN STARTED NOT SHIFTING RIGHT. WE WERE GOING UP MOUNTAINS AND IT WOULD NOT DRIVE. IT WOULD NOT SHIFT RIGHT. THE TRANSMISSION COMPLETELY WENT OUT AFTER A YEAR AND A HALF OF USE. WE HAVE KEPT ITS OIL CHANGED AND ALWAYS HAD THE FLUID CHECKED. THERE WAS FLUID STILL IN IT. THERE WAS NO REASON.
DOORS BUZZING NOISE WHEN LOCK OR UNLOCK
Door latching / locking and unlocking operation. Both drivers side and passenger side sliding doors will not unlock. This is very dangerous when trying to get children out of there car seats to exit the car. The car has only 15,000 miles on it and I purchased it new. I did read that there are many complaints about this and it is under investigation and that the manufacture sent out a notice to dealers that the door actuator was defective. This started over a year ago with first the drivers side would not unlock and now both will not unlock.
AT 17,000 PASSENGER REAR SLIDING DOOR LOCKING MECHANISM ACTUATOR FAILED. DOOR SUDDENLY STARTED MAKING A BUZZING NOISE WHEN ACTIVATED BY KEY FOB OR FRONT CONTROL SWITCHES. PAID DEALERSHIP OVER $1,100 TO REPLACE A $17 DOLLAR PART. NOW, AT 26,000 DRIVER'S SIDE REAR SLIDING DOOR LOCKING MECHANISM HAS FAILED WHILE DRIVING. DOOR IS LOCKED SHUT AND WILL NOT OPEN OR OPERATE. THIS IS A POTENTIAL SAFETY HAZARD AS PASSENGERS MAY BECOME TRAPPED IN VEHICLE IF OPPOSING DOOR HAPPENED TO BE BLOCKED. INTERNET BLOGS SPECIFICALLY SPEAK OF THIS CONDITION AS A COMMON OCCURRENCE. A RECALL SHOULD BE ENFORCED TO REPLACE FAULTY LOCK ACTUATOR MECHANISM, THUS REDUCING DANGER PRIOR TO NEEDLESS HARM OR DEATH.
DRIVER SIDE PASSENGER DOOR WAS LOCKED SHUT. HAD TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE MULTIPLE TIMES TO CORRECT THE ISSUES. THE FIRST TIME THEY DISASSEMBLED THE DOOR AND ONCE ON A WORK BENCH IT WORKED FINE, THEY PUT BACK INTO THE VEHICLE AND 2 DAYS LATER IT WAS BACK TO LOCKED SHUT. BROUGHT IN FOR SERVICE AGAIN AND HAD THE LOCK ACTUATOR REPLACED. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD FOR MY CHILDREN WHEN THE DOOR IS NOT OPERATIONAL. THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR IS ALSO MAKING A GRINDING NOISE WHICH WAS SIMILAR TO THE NOISE THE DRIVER SIDE MADE BEFORE IT STOPPED WORKING. IF I HAVE BOTH DOORS NONOPERATIONAL THIS IS AN EXTREMELY BIG SAFETY ISSUE FOR ANYONE RIDING IN THIS VEHICLE. I HAVE SPENT OVER $500 ON THIS ISSUE AND AM WORRIED IT WILL BE AT LEAST AN ADDITIONAL $500 TO FIX THE ISSUES ON THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR ONCE THAT BEGINS TO FAIL.
I LIVE IN MAINE AND WHEN IT IS COLD OUT THE AUTOMATIC DOORS FREEZE UP YOU CANNOT OPEN IT BY YOURSELF IT CLICKS AND CLICKS. DOESN'T SEEM LIKE A BIG DEAL BUT MY KIDS HAVE TO JUMP THROUGH THE FRONT TO GET IN AND I HAVE A NEWBORN BABY WHO WE HAVE TO STICK THE CAR SEAT THROUGH THE PASSENGER DOORS THE SCARY THING IS I WONDER IF THERE WAS AN EMERGENCY AND WE HAD TO GET OUT OF THE CAR SO THE CAR IS SMOKING OR SOMETHING THE DOORS WOULD NOT OPEN I WOULD HAVE TO TRY TO PULL THE INFANT SEAT OUT THROUGH THE FRONT AND THE KIDS WOULD ALL HAVE TO JUMP OUT THROUGH THE FRONT I DON'T GET HOW THIS HAS NOT BEEN RECALLED.
TRANSMISSION PUMP FALIURE IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING (ON RR. 47), HAD TO PROCEED TO A SPOT TO STOP, MAKING A LEFT TURN AT A GREEN LIGHT NOT KNOWING IF IT WOULD ACTUALLY ACCELERATE,NOW I AM TOLD BY A MECHANIC THAT WHENEVER THE PUMP HEATS UP WE WILL LOSE ALL GEARS...
PASSENGER SIDE SLIDING DOOR IS STUCK IN LOCKED POSITION. DOOR WILL NOT OPEN WITH KEY, KEY FOB, OR MANUALLY. WHEN I TRY TO OPEN THE DOOR I GET THE MESSAGE TO 'UNLOCK TO OPERATE'. DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE! MY SMALL CHILDREN RIDE BACK THERE AND I NEED TO BE ABLE TO ACCESS THEM QUICKLY IF SOMETHING HAPPENS.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 64797399. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V461000 (POWER TRAIN). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 94,618.
PASSENGER SIDE SLIDING DOOR MAKES LOUD BUZZING NOISE WHEN LOCKING OR UNLOCKING THE DOORS. I HAVE RESEARCHED THE ISSUE AND IT APPEARS OTHER PEOPLE HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE WITH THIS MAKE AND MODEL.
WHILE DRIVING THROUGH A INTERSECTION TURNING RIGHT THE ENGINE SHUTOFF WITHOUT WARNING. ALONG WITH THE ENGINE SHUTOFF, POWER STEERING WAS LOST AND EVERYTHING ON THE DASHBOARD INCLUDING THE SPEEDOMETER, RPMS, RADIO. WITH THE LOSS OF ACCELERATION AND POWER STEERING IT MADE IT VERY DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER TO SAFETY. ONCE STOPPED I WAS ABLE TO PLACE THE VEHICLE IN PARK I TURNED THE KEY TO OFF AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND IT STARTED BACK UP NORMALLY. ABSOLUTELY NO ENGINE LIGHTS OR WARNING WERE SHOWING BEFORE OR AFTER THIS INCIDENT. I SUSPECT THAT THE ISSUE IS THE TIPM BUT CAN'T BE EXACTLY SURE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS A LOSS OF HYDRAULIC PUMP IN THE TRANSMISSION, A FAILED LC PRESSURE SWITCH, AND A GEAR RATIO ERROR IN FIRST, THIRD, AND FOURTH GEARS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. PREVIOUSLY, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PAULDING CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (1245 OLD GRIFFIN RD, DALLAS, GA 30157, (770) 443-2277) TO BE DIAGNOSED AFTER THE VEHICLE STALLED WHILE DRIVING. THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO RETRIEVE A FAULT CODE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE WAS FLASHED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 67,392.
THE FIRST THING TO GO WRONG WITH THIS VEHICLE WAS THE TELEVISION STOPPED WORKING AND THEY FIXED IT ONCE AND IT WENT OUT AGAIN BUT I DID NOT TAKE IT BACK BECAUSE IT WOULD HAVE COST ME OUT OF POCKET .THE NEXT THING TO GO WRONG WAS THE DRIVER SIDE BACK DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN THEY HAD TO KEEP IT FOR A DAY OR TWO FOR THAT. THE NEXT THING TO GO WRONG WAS THE CYLINDER HEAD THEY TOOK A WEEK TO FIX IT BUT THE CAR STILL HAD WEAK ENGINE PERFORMANCE AND ENGINE MISFIRE SO I TOOK IT BACK FOR THEM TO CHECK IT AGAIN AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. THE WINDSHIELD WIPER SQUIRTER IS ALSO BROKEN. THE NEXT THING TO GO WRONG WAS THE GEAR SHIFTER, THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE AND WAS STUCK IN DRIVE WITH KEY STUCK IN THE IGNITION WE HAD JUST GOTTEN IN THE CAR .I TRIED TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON BUT THE ENGINE WOULD NOT CRANK. I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED IN TWICE AND RENT A CAR ON MY OWN INSURANCE DOESN'T PROVIDE RENTAL UNLESS YOU HAVE A ACCIDENT. WHEN THAT HAPPENED MY FAMILY OF SIX WAS IN THE CAR. I HAD TO PAY FOR EVERYTHING OUT OF POCKET. THE PROBLEMS STARTED AFTER 2 YEARS AND THE CAR IS ONLY THREE YEARS OLD AND FOUR MORE YEARS TO PAY FOR IT .I WAS ADVISE BY AN AGENT AT DODGE JEEP CHRYSLER TALLAHASSEE FL THAT IF I CONTINUED TO PAY MY WARRANTY WOULD BE EXTENDED.
