The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed and codes P083B, P0868, P084B, and P0944 were retrieved. The mechanic determined that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V461000 (Power Train). The contact stated that the failure was reoccurring. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000. The contact stated that the transmission failed while on the road and required towing to the dealer. Since the cost of the repair was nearly equal to the value of the vehicle, the contact ended up trading it in.
Loud buzzing sound on passenger side when locking or unlocking doors front and side door very loud buzzing sound afraid if I have my grandbabies in back seat is the door going to fly open or worse what is the noise and is this a recall that can be fixed never happened before now it is all the time buzzing when you lock and unlock doors.
My transmission was damaged by a pothole and replaced with item R890720AG in September 2018. I was driving with my family and my transmission failed with code Po944 among other transmission failure codes; on Monday January 16, 2023. While driving on the freeway I heard a weird grinding noise. The vehicle suddenly without warning slowed down. No matter how much I pressed the gas it did nothing. I tried to pull over to avoid traffic. The vehicle kept at a slow pace. Finally as I approach the edge of the road it stopped. I had to then push it to safety and call for a tow. The code P0944 is the same code that is with the recall S44. I understand that my vehicle is not part of the recall S44 but it has the same issues. Since my current part is discontinued, did it cause the same issue since its now remanufactured with item number R890720AI? I am vey concerned that this could've been a dangerous situation. We almost died that day because the transmission went out with no warning. I went to the dealer and they are not helping with the situation. Why would a new transmission from September 2018 seize in January 2023. It just made 4 years old. I need help to understand what happened and how can this be solved. Please help make sure no one else gets hurt by this issue.
The sliding door actuator lock gets stuck in the locked position. Making it unsafe for me and my kids to get out in an emergency. Same with the back trunk. It was stuck for months then just started working again.
The contact owns a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated that while diving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended while the accelerator pedal was depressed. An unknown warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where unknown repairs were made at the consumer's expense; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to a local independent mechanic, where the driveshaft was replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, approximately 3 months later the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken to another local independent mechanic for a second opinion where the transmission, control arms, and driveshaft were replaced twice; however, the failure persisted. In addition, the contact stated that while in reverse there was an abnormal sound coming from the transmission. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unavailable.

Transmission not shifting properly
Transmission module failure was replaced twice, after a few months the transmission failed again and broke without any issues or warming on the dash information, I had to replaced at a very high cost, I toke good care of my car all the time, this was not suppose to happened unless Daimler Chrysler use defective part on cars. the have to be a recall on this and I should be compensated in some way.
At various speeds from 35mph to 70mph, van will accelerate without manual input to the accelerator pedal. To stop the acceleration, the pedal must be "smashed" several times before the throttle responds. It is as if the cruise control acceleration spontaniously activates even though cruise control is not ON or being used. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!!!
Driver side power sliding door lock stuck in the locked position. The door CANNOT be unlocked regardless of the method used; Key FOB, driver side door electric unlock switch, power sliding door switch in the roof of the front seats or the manual lock on the door itself. The safety concern is that in an emergency situation the driver side sliding door CANNOT be opened, manually or other which means occupants could be trapped. This problem was confirmed by the dealer and deemed NOT to be due to the "actuator", for which an extended warranty was issued by FCA for. The dealer stated that the "drivers door needs new latch" mechanism is at fault and needs to be replaced. Specific FCA MOPAR part number is 68030379AG for the faulty component. Prior to the failure no noises or other improper operation occurred. The door lock "latch" just failed. Confirmed with FCA Recall Customer support, not the dealer, that the "latch" is NOT covered in the extended warranty letter attached, even though the symptom we are experiencing is the same.
I own two dodge caravans AVP package. at approximately 30K miles the transmissions on both vehicles failed. As per warranty Dodge replaced the transmissions with a remanufactured one for both vehicles. I was told yesterday that I was spilling/leaking some kind of oil. Today I brought it back to the shop and was told it was transmission oil. How do I protect myself from a faulty transmission if they are not even lasting 30K miles?
driver passenger rear door will not open automatically or manually. huge safety issue. it makes a buzzing sound on the passenger side back door when unlocked
Sliding electric door on driver side will not open. It is locked into the closed position and I can't open it manually. Will not open no matter what I try
When your turn the vehicle off and open the door a buzzing sound comes from the right rear of the vehicle.
All engine and interior is muddy, i brought it once for windows not working and motor got replace, transmission was replace now gasoline leaking and ac is not working, electric ports dont work
My vehicle began shutting completely off while in drive and approaching a stop. This has endangered myself as well as my family due to the current condition and unpredictability of the engine turning off while approaching a stop light or stop sign. The vehicle has been inspected by a dodge service location and the check engine light does come on. Also included is a mopar warranty bulletin addressing the same issue with the same engine but on previous years (2011-2013) of the grand caravan and multiple models. I am experiencing the same conditions on a 2016 dodge grand caravan.
The vehicle will randomly die and most of the time, it will start back up. It will die when it is stopped and idling, and it has died when I am driving it at all speeds. It dies on the interstate driving 75 mph, on the highway going 55 mph, on a street going 35 mph, and in a subdivision going 15 mph. It has been taken to a certified mechanic who could reproduce the problem but could not diagnose the cause. I took it to the dealership where they said they were not able to reproduce the issue or find any diagnostic error codes. Yet, the dealership was able to find a software upgrade and a "leaky pan" from the transmission that cost me over $550. When I left the dealership, the vehicle died about 2 miles in the middle of a large and very busy street. I tried to restart the vehicle, but it wouldn't start the first 11 tries. After a few minutes, on the 12th try, it did start up and I was able to drive it home. The next morning the vehicle started 4 times but died all 4 times. The first 2 times it died both times after idling for 2 minutes. The 3rd and 4th time it started up and then died within 10 seconds. I had the vehicle towed back to the dealership. The dealership still has it and cannot find out for sure what the actual issue is. They want to try a $3,000 repair, but they are not sure it will actually fix the issue. After searching the web it is not hard to find that so many people have had this same issue. What I would like to know is why so many of these vehicles are allowed on the road without there being a recall to fix this issue? Vehicles on the road that can easily die with no warning, that is terrifying. Especially a family vehicle. So many families with children of all ages put in danger by defective parts that cause a vehicle to die with no warning and then no error codes when the vehicle is diagnosed, even at a dealership. I could think of nothing more dangerous for a vehicle or a family traveling in this vehicle than this.
The car was running fine and with no warning (or warning lights) it was going up a hill and stopped driving. It would not drive and started reversing and rolling backwards. Car had to have the emergency brake put on and luckily came to a stop.
Similar to recalls with other Grand Caravans, both our sliding doors will not open. There is a buzzing sound when locks are engaged. First door went out a month ago Second one today.
The contact owns a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would stall as the RPMs would surge and the vehicle would fail to accelerate upon depression of the accelerator pedal. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure and was given the same information as the dealer. The transmission was replaced by an independent mechanic. Despite the transmission replacement, the contact had taken the vehicle back to the independent mechanic three times as the failure persisted and transmission fluid began to leak from the transmission. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.

There is a very loud buzzing noise that is detracting to when I drive. It is coming from the rear door. The first time I heard it I was able to stop it by opening the rear door but now it has started back up and won’t stop. It has been 2 weeks now. Again it is extremely distracting while I drive.
In July of 2022, the air conditioner failed. Called to make an appointment with DeLuca, the part did not come in so we did not bring the van in for repair. In August 2022 the van started stalling while driving on occasion. Brought into the mechanics but he could not see an issue of why the van would be stalling and could not diagnose when the van was stalling as it did not occur while he was inspecting the van. On October 17, 2022, the driver of the van called to say that the engine started smoking, there was a big puddle under the van and he could not move the van. He was stuck on the side of Tower Hill in Auburn, NH in a dangerous spot.
Vehicle lost power while driving. Wasn’t responding to gas Pedal. Moved to a parking lot. Ultimately had to tow to a repair shop. First I thought maybe a belt but it came down to transmission issue. Mechanic diagnosed that transmission pump failed. Cost to replace the pump is more than $3100. There is a recall for same issue for same model year but I was told by the OEM that my vehicle is not included in the recall. I saw hundred of similar stories online for this issue but surprised that recall was issue for only few vehicles while the issue might be much bigger! I am the first owner and have completed all the required maintenance on time. Disappointed with vehicle OEM for refusing goodwill warranty!
Transmission went out and vehicle did not have 99,000 miles on it. Mechanics said dodge caravans are famous for faulty transmissions. Cost over $4,000 yo repair a 2016 vehicle.
My elderly mother drove into her bank ATM and put van in park. After finishing transaction, she proceeded to put van in drive mode. It would not go forward. She then had to put it into Reverse mode (which did work) and drive backwards, she ended up in the street with her hazard lights on. A police officer noticed she was in a predicament and instructed my mom to drive in reverse into the bank parking lot. If the officer would not have been there; it’s possible she would have been in a wreck with another vehicle or building/structure. She van was towed by tow truck to her house. We are currently trying to get the van to the dealer to find out what happened. I have seen that her current model year for her van, have been recalls due to similar situations.
Rear passenger door makes a very loud buzz noise when locked or unlocked.
The headrest on my vehicle on the driver seat deployed while in use for no apparent reason.
Experienced a loss of acceleration and a shuttering/shaking when accelerating. Slight whining noise as well. The check engine light came on and continues to flash.
The transmission pump malfunctioned. It was causing the car to lunge forward while the foot was taken off the break slowly. Had to veer off the road to keep from hitting another car from behind as the car stalled. Waited for about 5 minutes and was able to drive for the same thing to happen again. I ended up having to leave the car and have it towed the next day. The car was inspected by Wayne and Daves who found there was a transmission pump failure. The car was driven to verify and was not able to drive as it continued with the same problem. Dodge Grand Caravans were recalled for that exact reason in 2016 but mine was not, although it was built in December of 2015. NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID: 16V461000 Report Date: JUN 23, 2016 Vehicles Affected: 26298

56k miles and transmission needed to be replaced on my 2016 Dodge Caravan. Immediately following my airbag light went on as well as my engine light. There was a recall on certain transmissions built. They need to look into it further.

Driver side passenger sliding door locked and won’t unlock to open door no manual override way to open door I feel is a safety hazard if in a accident.
As of today, 8/3/2022 I have now replaced multiple parts on my vehicle for the code P0302. I replaced the #2 coil, spark plug for the code previously coming on in June. I now replaced the fuel injector and the manifold gasket but the car is still misfiring. If you do a search on this issue on the internet you will find multiple owners experiencing the same issue I am, do the same steps of repair and still coming up with the same issues after. Dodge has previously acknowledges an issues with the cylinder heads on the 2010 to 2013 models but have not added the newer ones which are obviously having the same issues costing owners extremely costly repairs.
Drivers side door is stuck in the locked position and will not unlock or open no matter what is done.

The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
Sliding drivers side door will not open. Does not unlock, lock, latch and buttons do nothing. Door is stuck in closed position. Very unsafe! This vehicle is used for a handicap adult.
Vehicle transmission went out in 2022. Checked and it shows known recall for this transmission pump failure for Dodge Grand Caravan vehicles manufactured July 31, 2015, to April 18, 2016. According to the sticker inside the door, ours was manufactured in March 2016 which was during the recall period. However, our vehicle has not been included in the recall and has been sitting in our driveway for almost 2 years. It needs a new transmission due to the known pump failure issue.
Driver side passenger sliding door is stuck in locked position and will not open manually or electronically. This poses severe safety risk in the event that passenger needs to exit vehicle quickly.
When van is unlocked door actuator buzzes and doesn’t always unlock
An electrical failure creates a buzzing sound when unlocking the car doors this has also led to failure of the back sliding door behind the driver seat to open.
My right side passenger door is 100 percent stuck in the lock position. We have car seats in the captains chairs and can not tend to the children properly because the door will not open. There is not even an option to open manually! We need the doors to be easily open to get the kids in a case of an emergancy
