HORN/ALARM GOES OFF WHILE I'M DRIVING OR WHILE CAR IS PARKED IN DRIVE WAY
MY CAR ALMOST CAUGHT A FIRE FROM THE CIGERATTI LIGHTER WHEN I WAS CHARGING MY CELL PHONE AND ALSO MY HORN GO OFF ON ITS ON FOR A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF TIME AND THE LIGHTS AS WELL
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE JOURNEY. WHEN THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO START THE VEHICLE, A CLICKING NOISE WAS HEARD, BUT IT FAILED TO START AND ALL OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO SUBURBAN CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM OF FARMINGTON HILLS (248-476-7900, LOCATED AT 38123 W 10 MILE RD, FARMINGTON HILLS, MI 48335) WHERE THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT AN UNKNOWN PART WAS DRAINING THE BATTERY. THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED TO PURCHASE A BATTERY MAINTAINER. THE DEALER KEPT THE VEHICLE OVERNIGHT FOR OBSERVATION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROMISED TO FOLLOW-UP WITH THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 79,000.
MY VEHICLE HAS AN IGNITION ISSUE. THE KEY WILL TURN BACK TO ACC MODE WHILE TRYING TO START OR GOING DOWN THE ROAD. THIS HAS BEEN REVIEWED BY BEAMAN AUTO IN MURFREESBORO, TN AND THEY AGREE THAT THE IGNITION IS THE ISSUE. THE DEALER/CHRYSLER REFUSE TO DEAL WITH THIS UNDER THE IGNITION SWITCH RECALL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE JOURNEY. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED, IT MADE A CLICKING NOISE BUT FAILED TO START RIGHT AWAY. THERE WAS NO WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT IT TOOK MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO START THE VEHICLE MOST OF THE TIME. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED AND REPLACED THE STARTER. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000.
ACTIVE HEADREST FRONT PASSENGER SIDE DEPLOYED FOR NO APPARENT REASON. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, PARKED IN DRIVEWAY. NO CONTACT WITH OTHER VEHICLE OR OBJECT.
MY JOURNEY WAS WORKING FINE UNTIL A FEW MONTHS AGO, WHEN THE BATTERY SEEMINGLY DIED. I REPLACED IT (NO SMALL FEAT) AND ALL WAS GOOD FOR A BIT. NOW, EVERY THIRD DAY, I GO OUT AND THE CAR IS DEAD. THE BATTERY IS BRAND NEW, BUT THE CAR ACTS AS IF IT IS DEAD. I DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE LEAD, [PUT IT BACK ON, AND VOILA, IT STARTS AGAIN. THE BATTERY IS FINE. AT LEAST FOR A DAY, AND THE REPEATS...OVER AND OVER. I TOOK IT IN FOR THE RECALL ON THE STEERING COLUMN ELECTRICAL ISSUE AND IT LASTED FOR A WEEK AFTER THAT, AND THEN DEAD AGAIN. I SEE THE FORUMS THAT SAY LOTS AND LOTS OF PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM...HAS ANYONE ACTUALLY GOT IT FIXED IN WHICH IT HAS STAYED FIXED? SINCE DODGE REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM, WE ARE IN A BAD CATCH-22 IN WHICH THE DEALER CAN'T/WON'T FIX IT BECAUSE IF THEY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THIS IS AN ISSUE, THEN THEY FEEL RESPONSIBLE FOR IT, WHICH THEY CAN'T /WON'T DO. SO I AM IN THE ENDLESS BACK-AND-FORTH WITH REPAIR PLACES, WHO I SUSPECT JUST DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE TERMINAL, RECONNECT IT, CALL VICTORY AND CHANGE ME $200. I HAVE REPLACED STARTER, ALTERNATOR AND BATTERY 3 TIMES.
HORN BLOWS INTERMITTENTLY WHILE DRIVING OR WHILE PARKED UNATTENDED. UNSAFE FOR THIS TO OCCUR WHILE DRIVING.
HORN KEEPS GOING OFF FOR NO APPARENT REASON INCLUDING WHILE DRIVING DEALER UNABLE TO FIX WHICH CAUSE A SAFETY CONCERNS FOR OTHERS AROUND ME WHY THIS IS NOT CONSIDERED A SAFETY CONCERN AND A RECALL IS NEEDED BEYOND COMPREHENSION. AGGRAVATION BEHIND THE WHEEL IS NOT GOOD.
UNCONTROLLABLE CONSTANT HORN HONKING WHILE THE VEHICLE IS DRIVING, WHILE ON OR OFF, ALSO KEY FOB DOES NOT START OR STOP THE NOISE. BEEN TO THE DEALERSHIP NON STOP SINCE GETTING THE VEHICLE AS WELL AS A FEW OTHER SHOPS AND NO ONE HAS BEEN ABLE TO COMPLETELY FIX THE ISSUE IT HAS CONTINUED TO RETURN. EVERY TRIP TO THE DEALER THEY HAVE TOLD ME THE VEHICLE IS FINE, ERASE ANY SENSORS THAT APPEAR ON THE DASH, AND SEND ME HOME UNTIL THE PROBLEMS CONTINUE TO HAPPEN. REMOVED THE FUSE TO SILENCE THE HORN NOISE BUT HAS CONTINUED TO DRAIN THE NEW BATTERY. HAVE HAD NO LUCK WITH THE VEHICLE AND NOW I CANNOT DRIVE IT BECAUSE IT KEEPS DYING. THERE IS A LOT WRONG WITH THIS VEHICLE.
IN JUNE 2016 I TOOK MY CAR TO BETTEHAUSEN DODGE IN TINLEY PARK, IL. THEY DID SOME REPAIRS AND SINCE THEN THE HORN GOES OFF BY ITSELF. THE CAR CAN BE PARKED WITH THE MOTOR OFF OR YOU COULD BE DRIVING IN TRAFFIC AND THE HORN WILL BLOW. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO BETTENHAUSEN IN AUGUST 2016 THEY DID ANOTHER COMPUTER UPDATE AND THE HORN IS STILL GOING OFF BY ITSELF. THE HORN WAS FIND UNTIL I TOOK IT TO BETTENHAUSEN IN JUNE. ONCE THEY FINISHED WORKING ON IT THEY HORN BLOWS SPORADICALLY. AGAIN IN AUGUST 2016 I HAD MY CAR TOWED TO BETTENHAUSEN BECAUSE THE CAR BROKE DOWN. UPON BETTENHAUSEN REVIEWING MY CAR THEY STATED IT WAS THE HEATER HOSE, A GASKET AND THE ANTI FREEZE BOTTLE HAD A HOLE IN IT. IT COST ME $582.00 FOR THAT REPAIR. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT ALSO INFORMED ME THAT I NEEDED FRONT AND REAR MOTOR MOUNTS BROKEN, FRONT AND REAR STRUTS BLOWN OUT, FRONT AND REAR BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS WARPED AND WORN, RIGHT REAR WHEELING BEARING EXCESSIVE NOISE. THESE ARE MAJOR REPAIRS AND WILL COST MAJOR MONEY. WHY DIDN'T BETTENHAUSEN INSPECT MY CAR THOROUGHLY IN JUNE WHEN IT WAS TOWED IN? I THINK THESE THINGS WERE WRONG WITH THE CAR IN JUNE BUT IT WAS INSPECTED BY THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. SO I DROVE AROUND FOR MONTHS WITH ALL THIS WRONG WITH MY VEHICLE. WHAT IF I COULDN'T STOP, OR A WHEEL FELL OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING THE EXPRESSWAY? IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY IN JUNE AND NOW IT IS NOT AND THESE ARE MAJOR SAFETY HAZZARDS.
MY CAR WAS CUTTING OFF EVEN AFTER I HAD IT REPAIRED DUE TO A RECALL ON THE IGNITION. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THE CAR WOULD JUST STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING IT. NOW I I TOLD DODGE THAT I WAS AFRAID MY CAR WAS GOING TO KILL ME. I OFTEN RENTED CARS BECAUSE IT WAS TOO UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND I RARELY DROVE THE CAR EVEN THOUGH I WAS STILL PAYING A WHOPPING LOAN ON IT. THEY POO POOED WHAT I TOLD THEM AND IGNORED MY CLAIMS. NOW,I'M NOT A CAR EXPERT BUT THIS IS NOT NORMALLY. I RECENTLY HAD IT SERVICED AND HAD A TRANSMISSION REPLACED, OBVIOUSLY THIS WAS NOT THE PROBLEM BECAUSE THE CAR MALFUNCTIONED WHEN MY KIDS WERE IN THE CAR AND LANDED IN A RAVINE. I FOUND OUT THAT THIS VEHICLE IS UNDER RECALL AGAIN FOR THE THIRD TIME CONCERNING THE IGNITION.
THE VEHICLE HAS A 100000+ MILES NEVER REALIZED THAT I WOULD HAVE TO CHANGE THE BRAKES NEARLY 30 TIMES IN THAT TIME FRAME ALMOST 4 OR 5 TIMES A YEAR THEY SHAKE VIBRATE I REPLACED THE ROTORS THE CALIPERS SHOES AND ANYTHING TO DO WITH BRAKES INCLUDING BOOSTER AND FLUID CHECKED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND EVERYTHING THEY SEEM TO LOCK UP AND AT ONCE SO HOT IT MELTED MY DRIVERS SIDE HUB CAP OFF THEY LOCKED UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREEWAY AND ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT I FEEL THE BREAKS ARE TOO LIGHT FOR THE WEIGHT OF THE VEHICLE THE CAR IS PAID FOR AND OUT OF WARRANTY AND CAN'T REPLACE THE AMOUNT OF MONEY I PAID FIXING BUT IS THERE A RECALL? HAS ANYBODY FILED A LAWSUIT?HAS ANYBODY GOT HURT INJURED OR EVEN LOST THERE LIFE TO THESE BREAKS?
RECALL R03/NHTSA 14V-373: MY DEALER CAN NOT MAKE THIS REPAIR AS IT CLAIMS INSUFFICIENT PARTS AND A LARGE BACK LOG OF CARS NEEDING THIS RECALL. THE DEALER CLAIMS IT RECEIVES REPAIR KITS ON A 1 FOR 1 BASIS, GETTING ONLY A FEW KITS AT A TIME. I HAVE ATTEMPTED THIS RECALL REPAIR THREE TIMES, EACH TIME BEING TURNED AWAY DUE TO NO KIT ON HAND. THE VEHICLE HAS HAD A NUMBER OF IGNITION MODULE FAILURES WHILE DRIVING, AND A PREVIOUS RECALL KIT (L25) WAS INSTALLED.
HEADLIGHT ON PASSENGER SIDE DOES NOT WORK ON HIGH OR LOW BEAMS. IT STARTED NOT COMING ON THE NEXT MORNING AFTER THEY WHERE WORKING FINE 6 HOURS EARLIER AND I'VE HAD EVERYTHING CHECKED AND CAN'T SEEM TO FIND NOTHING WRONG EXCEPT THEM NOT WORKING. I EVEN REPLACE THE BULBS AND THEY STILL DIDN'T WORK AND NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH THE OLD BULBS THOUGH THE MECHANIC DID NOT FIND NOTHING WRONG I THINK IT'S THE PLUG-IN THAT YOU PLUG THE LIGHT INTO.
2010 DODGE JOURNEY HORN GOES OFF RANDOMLY AS I AM DRIVING DOWN ROAD OR WHEN IT IS SITTING WITHOUT KEY IN THE IGNITION. CAR ALARM WENT OFF RANDOMLY ONE TIME. THERE ARE 106,000 MILES ON IT NOW BUT IT ONLY HAD AROUND 60,000 WHEN THIS STARTED . REPLACED THE CAR BATTERY BECAUSE THAT WAS ON A BLOG BUT THAT DID NOT HELP.

MY HEAD REST HAS CAME APART & THE DODGE DEALER DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO PUT IT BACK TOGETHER. I WAS TOLD IT IS PART OF THE AIR BAG RECALL & I JUST HAD THAT FIXED YESTERDAY. I DRIVE WITH MY SEAT STRAIGHT UP & I'M UNABLE TO DO SO BECAUSE OF THE HEAD REST.I MET A GUY FROM DODGE & HE TOOK PICTURES & MADE A REPORT BUT THAT WAS 3 WEEKS AGO. I NEED SOMETHING DONE. I WAS DRIVING MY CAR WHEN MY HEAD REST EXPLODED ON A SIDE STREET IF I WOULD OF BEEN ON THE HIGHWAY I WOULD OF PROBABLY WREAKED . I NEED HELP WITH THIS!!

THE CONTACT SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AFTER THE THIRD ATTEMPT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,797.

WHEN I TURNED OFF THE ENGINE AND REMOVED THE KEY AND STEPPED OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE I NOTICED THE ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING. ENGINE CONTINUED TO RUN FOR 45 MINUTES TO AN HOUR. WHEN I REENTERED VEHICLE TO TRY THE KEY AGAIN IT WOULD NOT SHUT OFF AND WAS UNABLE TO SHIFT THE GEAR LEVER. THE VEHICLE WAS AT A CLIENTS LOCATION SO I DROVE IT HOME AND PARKED IT IN THE DRIVEWAY WHERE IT CONTINUED TO RUN FOR ABOUT AN HOUR WHEN I REMOVED THE KEY. I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO PREMIER OF CAPE COD THE ONLY DODGE DEALER ON CAPE COD. I WAS TOLD IT WAS AN ELECTRONIC COMPUTER MODULE. TO REPLACE THE MODULE WITH 2 NEW KEYS THE COST WOULD BE $1,038.00 INSTALLED. I SUBMITTED A SAFETY CLAIM WITH THE CHRYSLER/DODGE REGIONAL OFFICE AND WAS DENIED. I WAS OFFERED A YEAR OF FREE OIL CHANGES AND NO REIMBURSEMENT AS VEHICLE WARRANTY WAS OVER. THE VEHICLE WAS A 2010 WITH 74,470 MILES. MY CONCERN IS THAT THIS COULD VERY WELL BEEN A SAFETY ISSUE AS VEHICLE KEPT RUNNING AND COULD NOT BE SECURED. IT SEEMS TO ME THAT THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN ISSUED A RECALL AS UPON INVESTIGATING FURTHER THIS MODEL AND YEAR HAD A HISTORY OF THIS ISSUE. A $1,038.00 REPAIR FOR A COMPUTER MODULE IS NOT YOUR AVERAGE ISSUE/REPAIR.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT SMOKE WAS PRESENT UNDER THE HOOD NEAR THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHERE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 97,000.

WINDOWS AND LOCKS OPEN AND CLOSE AFTER CAR HAS BEEN TURNED OFF AND LOCKED.
THE HORN BEEPS RANDOMLY. IT SEEMS TO HAPPEN MORE RIGHT BEFORE A THUNDERSTORM HITS OR WHEN A STORM IS IN THE AREA. ALSO THE CAR SOMETIMES WON'T START. THE STARTING PROBLEM HAS BEEN AN ON GOING PROBLEM SINCE THE FIRST YEAR OF OWNER SHIP. I'M THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND HAVE HAD THE CAR IN FOR ALL OF THE RECALLS INCLUDING THE FOB REPLACEMENT. I FEEL THIS CAR IS A LEMON AND WISH I HAD NEVER PURCHASED IT. MY PLYMOUTH VOYAGER WAS A VERY DEPENDABLE CAR AND I WAS EXPECTING THE SAME FROM THE JOURNEY BUT THAT HAS NOT BEEN THE CASE WITH THIS CAR.

BOUGHT 2010 DODGE JOURNEY (USED) FROM TOM WOOD FORD DEALERSHIP. I HAVE MADE 3 PAYMENTS. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START LEAVING ME STRANDED IN A PARKING LOT. I TRIED TO JUMP IT WITHOUT SUCCESS. WHEN I TURNED THE KEY TO JUMP IT, WHITE SMOKE CAME FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND THERE WAS A STRONG ODOR OF MELTING PLASTIC. I GRABBED MY KID AND BELONGINGS AND FLED THE VEHICLE. I HAD IT TOWED TO SHOP. THEY REPLACED THE BATTERY AND SENT ME ON MY WAY. THE NEXT DAY IT STARTED ROUGH. I DROVE IT APPROXIMATELY 2 MILES TO A GAS STATION. IT WOULD NOT RESTART. HAD IT TOWED BACK TO SHOP FOR FURTHER EVALUATION. ALL LIGHTS, RADIO, POWER WINDOWS, ETC. ARE FUNCTIONING, STARTER MAKES CLICKING SOUND, ALTERNATOR CHECKED OUT OK, NEW BATTERY INSTALLED, BUT IT WILL NOT START. MILEAGE IS 81,759. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V373000 (AIR BAGS, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START AS THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ILLUMINATED. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HORN AND THE RADIO OPERATED INDEPENDENTLY. THE FAILURE RECURRED TWO TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 95,000.

TAKATA RECALL WHEN SLOWING DOWN TO A STOP LIGHT THE CAR LOCKED THE STEERING AND BREAKS. THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON. I WAS UNABLE TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP AND ENDED UP GOING HALFWAY THROUGH THE LIGHT. I TURNED THE CAR OFF THEN BACK ON. IT WAS FINE. ABOUT A MONTH LATER THE SAME THING HAPPENED AS WE WERE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. WE HAD NO CONTROL OVER THE STEERING OR BREAKS. I CONTACTED THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NO OPEN RECALL SO THEY WOULD NOT FIX IT FOR FREE. I JUST BOUGHT THE CAR TWO MONTHS AGO.

"TAKATA RECALL" ON 4/06/2016, MY KEYPAD WOULD NOT LOCK MY DOORS. ON 04/09/2016, IT BEGAN TO WORK AGAIN. AFTER STARTING MY ENGINE AND DRIVING MY CAR FOR 1 MINUTE, MY CAR STALLED ON ME. I PROCEEDED TO START MY VEHICLE AGAIN, ONLY FOR IT TO SHUT DOWN FOR THE SECOND TIME. AFTER MY VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY SHUT DOWN, EVERYTHING WENT COMPLETELY OUT. I COULD NOT LET MY WINDOWA DOWN, DOORS WOULD NOT LOCK NOR UNLOCK RADIO WILL NOT PLAY. WINDSHIELD WIPERS WOULD NOT WORK. WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO JUMP START MY VEHICLE WITH A BOOST, SMOKE BEGIN TO APPEAR FROM UNDER THE HOOD NEAR THE BATTERY POSTS. I CONTACTED A DODGE DEALERSHIP IN MY AREA AND ARE CURRENTLY WAITING ON THE DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS. I WILL BE VISITING THE NHTSA SITE TODAY TO PROVIDE YOU WITH AN UPDATE.
THE HORN/ALARM WILL SOUND RANDOMLY AND FOR NO APPARENT REASON, OFTEN GOING DOWN THE ROAD OR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. THE KEYFOB WILL LODGE IN AND THE ENTIRE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS "DEAD". REPLACED BATTERY THINKING IT WAS BATTERY ISSUE. ENTIRE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS "DEAD" EVERY FEW DAYS. THERE IS A STRANGE DRAG/CLICK SOUND WHEN TURNING WHEEL. MANY OTHER ELECTRICAL ISSUES THAT ARE BIZARRE AND COMPLETELY RANDOM. AT TIMES YOU HAVE TO START, KILL, RESTART ENGINE AND FINALLY WILL GO IN GEAR. I KEEP CHECKING FOR RECALLS AS THIS APPEARS, THROUGH MULTIPLE POSTS I HAVE READ, TO BE AN ISSUE WITH THIS YEAR MODEL. I CAN'T AFFORD TO KEEP TAKING TO DEALERSHIPS FOR ISSUES THAT CLEARLY ARE RELATED TO THE MANUFACTURING OF THE VEHICLE.

I WAS DRIVING ON HIGHWAY 29 GOING TO COLUMBIA MD IN A HEAVY RAINSTORM AND MY ELECTRIC SYSTEM IN MY TRUCK SHUT OFF, I COULD SEE BECAUSE THE EVERYTHING THAT NEEDED POWER JUST STOPPED WORKING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY. THE CAR WAS STILL RUNNING BUT THE COMPUTER SYSTEM HAD SHUT OFF AND I HAD A CAR FULL OF KIDS. THIS SCARED US SO BAD , LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO EASE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHERE I TURNED THAT CAR OFF AND BACK ON TO CHECK IF THE ELECTRIC SYSTEM WOULD COME ON. IT DID BUT AS WE GOT OFF THE EXIT IT CUT OFF AGAIN.

THE CAR HAD BEEN RUNNING FOR 10+ MINUTES BEFORE THIS SO IT WASN'T FROM A COLD START PLUS IT WAS AROUND 40+ DEGREES OUT TODAY. I SAID SOMETHING TO MY SON AND HE SAYS IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME(LIVES WITH HIS MOM SO NEVER SAID ANYTHING TO ME BEFORE) I JUST LOOKED INTO THIS ONLINE AND IT SEEMS IT'S A KNOWN ISSUE WITH PROBLEM BEING TIPM. CHRYSLER HASN'T RECALLED MY SON'S VEHICLE YET THOUGH EVEN AS THERE'S A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT TO ADD THIS YEAR AND MAKE TO THE RECALL. DOES SOMEONE HAVE TO GET KILLED BEFORE THIS KNOWN ISSUE GETS THE ATTENTION AND RECALL IT NEEDS?????

WE TOOK OUR VEHICLE TO DODGE SERVICE AND THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE ROTORS. WE DRIVE OUR CAR VERY CONSERVATIVELY AND NOW IN 2016 WE HAVE 36K MILES. OUR CAR STARTED EXPERIENCING THE SAME SYMPTOMS. WE TOOK THE CAR TO DODGE SERVICE, WHICH CONFIRMED EXTREME ROTOR WEAR AND EVEN COMMENTED THAT IT WAS PREMATURE WEAR. I CONTACTED DODGE AND THEY REFUSED TO REPLACE ANY PARTS. IN ADDITION, WE RECENTLY (2016) ARE EXPERIENCING RANDOM HORN HONKING. THIS IS INDEED A SAFETY ISSUE AS PROPER HORN FUNCTION IS A REQUIREMENT FOR VEHICLE REGISTRATION.
