SINCE PURCHASE HORN BEEPS INTERMITTENTLY WHEN DOORS ARE OPENED AND SHUT. DEALER COULD NEVER FIND ISSUE. WINDOWS WOULD NOT GO UP IN FRONT BUT CORRECTED SELF. NOW BATTERY DIES AND NO DEALER CAN FIND THE REASON. PUT IN BRAND NEW BATTERY AND LASTED A WEEK UNTIL DOING IT AGAIN. DASH LIGHTS DIM TO ALMOST DARK WHEN WIPERS ARE TURNED ON. SOMETIMES DASH LIGHTS STAY ON WHEN DOOR CLOSED AND MUST STAY UNTIL DELAY TO BE SURE THEY ARE ALL OFF . VERY ANNOYING. THERE ARE MANY ASPECTS THAT WE LIKED WITH THE JOURNEY BUT THIS IS A REAL PROBLEM. *TR

THE CONTACT MANAGED TO PULL INTO A FUEL STATION WHERE THE VEHICLE RESTARTED AFTER A FEW MINUTES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT CALLED AN UNKNOWN DEALER IN SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE FAILURE RECURRED IN 2016 AND THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF WHILE PULLING INTO THE DRIVEWAY. THE DEALER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. IN 2017, THE VEHICLE TOOK SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO START. THE FAILURE RECURRED IN 2018 AND THE REMOTE START KEY DID NOT WORK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER IN TUCSON, ARIZONA WHERE THE REMOTE START KEY WAS REPLACED. MOST RECENTLY, AFTER PUMPING FUEL AT THE FUEL STATION, THE VEHICLE DID NOT START. THE CONTACT WAITED A FEW MINUTES AND THE VEHICLE RESTARTED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that the vehicle would not immediately start-up when turning the ignition key. On several occasions, while driving, the vehicle shut-off without warning. After readjusting the ignition key, the vehicle was able to be restarted. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V373000 (Electrical System). The contact indicated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 60,000.
IN MARCH 2015 THE VEHICLE SHOWED SIGNS OF IGNITION LOCKING AND NOT BEING ABLE TO BE STARTED WITH KEY. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN EVERY TIME, BUT ENOUGH TO BE ANNOYING. AAA WAS CALLED TO TOW THE VEHICLE TO OUR REPUTABLE MECHANIC EACH TIME IT OCCURRED. MECHANIC COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG AS THIS PROBLEM DID NOT SHOW WHILE IN HIS PREMISES. THE PROBLEM CONTINUED. IN JUNE I RECEIVED RECALL NOTICE 'R03" AND ON 6/16/15 PUT IN AN 'ORDER' WITH CHAPMAN AUTO GROUP IN HORSHAM, PA. WHEN THEY INSPECTED THE VEHICLE IT DID NOT SHOW SIGNS OF IGNITION LOCK UP EITHER. BY THE BEGINNING OF JULY, I WAS TOLD BY CHAPMAN THAT THEY HAD NO IDEA WHEN THIS PART ON THE RECALL WOULD BE IN STOCK. I PROCEEDED TO CALL TWO OTHER DEALERSHIPS IN THE AREA AND RECEIVED THE SAME STORY FROM THEM. I ALSO CALLED CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SVC AS WELL AS SENT AN E-MAIL TO CUSTOMERASSISTRE@CHRYSLER AND SO FAR EVERYONE HAS SAID THAT THE AUTO MAKER HAS NO IDEA WHEN AND WHO WILL BE MAKING THIS WIRELESS IGNITION NODE MODULE TO SATISFY THE RECALL. MY CAR IS DEFECTIVE AND I NEED IT REPAIRED IMMEDIATELY. WE HAVE ALSO USED UP MOST OF OUR AAA CALLS DUE TO THIS PROBLEM AND OUR POLICY DOES NOT RENEW UNTIL MARCH 2016.

WHILE DRIVING INTO WORK THIS MORNING MY HORN BEGAN TO GO OFF ON ITS ON AND RANDOMLY. NOTHING I DID WOULD STOP THE HORN FROM GOING OFF. I CALLED BOTH MY DEALER AND CHRYSLER DIRECTLY NEITHER SAID THEY HAVE HEARD OF ANY ISSUES REGARDING THIS. SOME OF THE WARNING LIGHTS ON MY DASH ALSO CAME UP AND THEN WENT OFF. THIS SEEMS TO BE A SAFETY ISSUE AND I AM CONCERNED. *TR
MY STEERING STARTED TO VIBRATE EXCESSIVELY AND THEN THE BRAKES STARTED TO GET HOT, IT SOUNDED AS IF I WAS RUNNING OVER THE BUMPS ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD THAT WARN DRIVERS THEY ARE ABOUT TO LEAVE THE ROAD; HOWEVER, I WAS NO WHERE CLOSE TO THEM. THEY EVENTUALLY STUCK AND BEGAN TO SMOKE. I STOPPED THE CAR AND LEFT IT IN A PARKING LOT SO THAT IT WOULD NOT BURN TO THE GROUND IF I DECIDED TO DRIVE IT. BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE ROTOR AND CALIBER WERE CHANGED AND I AM STILL HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE BRAKES STICKING. *TR

ENGINE STALLED WHILE DRIVING CAUSING LOSS OF POWER STEERING & POWER BRAKES. DIAGNOSIS REVEALED THAT ENGINE WOULD STALL IF KEY WAS MOVED SLIGHTLY. COULD HAVE CAUSED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. SUPERSTITION SPRINGS CHRYSLER REPLACED THE WIN MODULE AT A COST OF $492.46. HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE TO DIE OR BE INJURED BEFORE THE MANUFACTURER ACCEPTS RESPONSIBILITY, INITIATES A RECALL AND TAKES CARE OF THE PROBLEM AT NO COST TO THE VEHICLE OWNER?? I BELIEVE THAT CHRYSLER CORP SHOULD REIMBURSE ME FOR THE COST OF THIS REPAIR. *TR

TAKING CAR TO LOOK AT, CK ENGINE LIGHT ON. HAD PROBLEMS WITH IT CUTTING OFF ON E'WAY RAMP. TOOK OFF ALL KEYS. MECHANIC TOLD ME CAR WAS BUILT WITH A DEFECT MOTOR. NOTHING HE COULD DO. TAKING TO ANOTHER MECHANIC AND ESP BAS LIGHT AND TRACTION LIGHT COMES ON. *TR

WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE ON A LONG DISTANCE ROAD TRIP, WHICH I DO QUITE OFTEN, THE STEERING WHEEL BEGAN TO VIBRATE AS I WAS DECREASING THE SPEED FROM 65 MILES PER HOUR. I HAVE SINCE HAD MY TIRES REPLACED AND THE TPMS ON ONE OF MY WHEELS BECAME CORRODED. THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTED. I HAD MY BACK BRAKES REPLACED, THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTED. I HAD MY WHEELS ALIGNED, THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTED. MY MECHANIC IS CURRENTLY REPLACING THE AXLE ALONG WITH MY FRONT BRAKES. HOPEFULLY, THIS FIXES THE PROBLEM. MY DAUGHTER IS IN COLLEGE AND MY FAMILY AND I WILL BE MAKING 8 HOUR ROAD TRIPS OFTEN. I AM FINANCIALLY OBLIGATED TO THIS VEHICLE AND NEED IT TO SERVICE MY FAMILIES NEEDS. DODGE NEEDS TO ENSURE THAT THEIR VEHICLES ARE SAFE AND RELIABLE.

MY TRUCK IS ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AT THIS VERY MOMENT. I PICKED UP MY TRUCK FROM A DODGE DEALERSHIP THIS MORNING. NO EVEN 10 HOURS LATER, I'M RIDING DOWN THE STREET AND THE IGNITION GOES TO THE ACC.. I LOOSE POWER STEERING AND BRAKES! MY DAUGHTER AND I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED! I SEE THAT THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE ON OTHER 2010 DODGE JOURNEYS....HOWEVER... DODGE TELLS ME THAT MY VIN# IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL....IT'S THE SAME ISSUE THAT OTHER 2010 DODGE JOURNEY OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING. I WAS AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE HORN STARTED TO GO OFF ON ITS OWN WITHOUT ANYONE TOUCHING IT. AS IT STARTED IT STOPPED. APPROXIMATELY 2 1/2 WEEKS LATER THE VEHICLE WAS INSIDE MY GARAGE AND AT ABOUT 2:00 A.M. THE HORN STARTED TO GO OFF AGAIN. I HAD TO DISCONNECT THE FUSES IN ORDER OT HAVE IT STOP SOUNDING. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE CHRYSLER DODGE DEALER, THEY CLAIMED THAT THEY DID NOT KNOW WHAT WAS HAPPENING WITH THE HORN. THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE ANY RECALLS ON THIS MATTER AND NEVER HEARD OF THIS PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLES. I LOOKED ON THE INTERNET AND HAVE FOUND THAT OTHER CONSUMERS WHO HAVE PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. WHY HAS CHRYSLER DODGE REFUSED TO HELP ITS CLIENTS? *TR

I WAS DRIVING AT THE SPEED LIMIT ON INTERSTATE 5, (CALIFORNIA) WHEN A VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME SWERVED PARTIALLY INTO MY LANE. IN ORDER TO AVOID HITTING SAID VEHICLE, I SWERVED TO THE RIGHT SLIGHTLY, AT THAT TIME I BELIEVE ENGINE DIED, AS I HAD NO CONTROL OVER SAID VEHICLE I COULD NOT STEER OR MANEUVER MY VEHICLE AT ALL. THUS IT WAS CONTINUING ON THE PATH OF THE SWERVE AND HIT THE WALL ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY. I AT NO TIME HAD ANY CONTROL OVER THE VEHICLE, THE CAR STARTED SPINNING FROM THE IMPACT OF THE WALL AND SENT ME ACROSS 3 LANES OF TRAFFIC AND I WAS HIT BY 2 CARS. THE ONLY AIRBAG THAT DEPLOYED WAS THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. (THERE WAS NO PASSENGER IN THAT POSITION.) I WAS IN THE DRIVER SEAT, AND MY SON (WAS 9 YEARS OF AGE AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT) WAS SITTING DIRECTLY BEHIND ME. WHEN THE CAR STOPPED, I WAS UNABLE TO REMOVE THE KEY FROM THE IGNITION, IT WAS LOCKED IN PLACE. ORIGINALLY, I BELIEVED THAT THERE WERE NO MAJOR INJURIES, ONLY BUMPS, BRUISES AND THE LIKE. HOWEVER IN THE MONTHS SINCE THE INCIDENT, IT HAS COME TO LIGHT THAT I HAVE TORN MUSCLES IN 1, MAYBE BOTH ELBOWS. I AM CURRENTLY UNDER A DOCTORS CARE, AND WILL BE REQUIRING SURGERY TO RECONSTRUCT THE MUSCLES AND TENDONS.

AFTER GETTING OFF FROM A LONG DAY AT WORK. LEAVING THE PARKING LOT ON THE SECOND FLOOR FROM WORK I WAS COMING DOWN THE RAMP WHEN I LOST COMPLETE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. MY VEHICLE FAILED TO START. AFTER RESEARCH AND FINDING INFORMATION THAT THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH TIPM AND THE FUEL PUMP RELAY THAT IS BUILT INTO THE CIRCUIT CARD FAILS AND CUTS OUT THE FUEL PUMP AND SHUTS OFF THE ENGINE.
