THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 DODGE JOURNEY. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, THERE WAS A KNOCKING SOUND COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO CARLOCK CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM OF TUSCALOOSA (550 SKYLAND BLVD E, TUSCALOOSA, AL 35405, (205)759-4421) BUT WAS NOT YET DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 249,712.
THE HEADRESTS DEPLOYED DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD
THE HORN IS BEEPING WHEN NOT IN VEHICLE. ALSO WHEN DRIVING IT RANDOMLY BEEPS.
ON OUR WAY TO THE COAST MY HEADLIGHT WENT OUT COMPLETELY AND HAD TO USE ONLY TO DAY LIGHTS AND FOG LIGHT NO HEADLIGHT WOULD COME ON THEY WOULD ONLY FLICKER. I WAS STILL A HOUR FROM THE COAST AND 3 HOURS FROM HOME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. THE HORN GOES OFF RANDOMLY AND IS ANNOYING SAME WITH THE WIND SHIELD WIPERS. THEY GO AT RANDOM AND ARE NOT NEEDED.THE HORN IS WHEN I AM STATIONARY. THE WIPERS GO AT ANYTIME MOVING OR STOPPED. THE CAR ACTS POSSESSED. I AM SCARED TO DRIVE AT NIGHT DUE TO THE HEADLIGHTS FUNCTIONALITY I HAD MY NEPHEW WITH ME WHEN I HAD THE HEADLIGHTS STOP WORKING AND I WILL NOT PUT HIM IN DANGER AGAIN. THIS NEEDS FIXED.

THE CONTACT STEERED THE VEHICLE OFF THE MAIN ROAD AND SHIFTED THE GEAR SHIFTER INTO PARK TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ATLANTIC DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP (2330 US 1 SAINT AUGUSTINE, FL 32086, (904)797-4383) HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 86,000.
PASSENGER SIDE HEAD REST DEPLOYED FOR UNKNOWN REASON. NOT IN ACCIDENT.VEHICLE WAS PARKED.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT PROPERLY ACCELERATE BEFORE EVENTUALLY STALLING. AFTER RESTARTING THE VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE OPERATED AS NORMAL HOWEVER, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT YET CONTACTED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,700.
STARTED THE CAR TO GO TO WORK AND HAD NO POWER STEERING. TOOK THE CAR TO THE MECHANIC AND HAD SOME BROKEN LINES REPLACED. TWO DAYS LATER WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT AGAIN. I LOST CONTROL AND ALMOST LANDED IN A DITCH. TOOK BACK TO THE MECHANIC AND THE SAME LINES BUT AGAIN.
THIS IS THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW WE HAVE TO REPLACE THE POWER STEERING LINES. LAST YEAR THE RETURN LINE BURST WHILE DRIVING. NOW JUST YESTERDAY ( 02/09/2021) A LINE BURST AGAIN WHILE DRIVING.THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS THIS ISSUE IN THE WINTER. IT STARTED TO BE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO STEER. IT FELT LIKE THE POWER STEERING PUMP WAS LOCKING UP.
I'M DRIVING DURING RUSH HOUR AND MY HORN GOES OFF SPURRATDICALY. AND THIS WASN'T THE FIRST,SECOND, OR EVEN THIRD TIME. PEOPLE LOOKING AT ME AS IF TO SAY, WHAT? WHY ARE YOU HONKING AT US? THE HORN DOESN'T HAVE A PATTERN. SOMETIME IT SOUNDS LIKE MORSE CODE AND SOMETIMES IT LASTS FOR UP TO 15 SECONDS LIKE I'M HOLDING IT DOWN. IT ALSO HAPPENS WHILE SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY FOR 24 HOURS AND IT GOES OFF DURING THE DAY AND EVEN LATE AT NIGHT. I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO UPLOAD EXCEPT MY TESTAMONY. PLEASE HELP!
LAST EVENING WHILE SITTING IN HOUSE THE HORN STARTS GOING OFF. THEN WE REALIZED IT WAS OUR CAR. HUSBAND WENT OUT AND SAW THAT IT WAS OUR GRABBED KEY FOB AND FINALLY PUSHED THE PANIC BUTTON SEVERAL TIMES AND IT STOPPED. THEN TODAY MID-MORNING IT STARTED HONKING AGAIN. AFTER RESEARCHING IT WE'VE FIGURED IT WASN'T ONLY US AND SEEMS TO BE AN ISSUE. BOTH TIMES IT WAS PARKED IN OUR DRIVEWAY WITH NO ONE AROUND IT CAUSE WE HAVE SEVERAL CAMERAS AND LOOKED AND SAW NO ONE AROUND IT
BOTH AIR BAGS ON MY HEADREST DEPLOYED WHILE CAR WAS PARKED AND NOT IN A ACCIDENTS
CAR INTERMITTENTLY DOES NOT START. IT HAPPENS ON A DAILY BASIS. REPLACED STARTER, BATTERY, ALTERNATOR, FUSES, CLEANED ALL CONNECTORS, SOLENOID , NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH.. STILL HAS ISSUES. YOU HAVE TO PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL TO GET IT STARTED. KEY FOB WON'T START CAR, IT JUST CLICKS. PUTTING THE KEY IN THE IGNITION WONT START THE CAR. I'VE HAD THE CAR FOR 3 MONTHS AND IT SPENT 1 MONTH WITH THE MECHANIC. NOTHING SEEMS TO FIX THIS PROBLEM AND DODGE WON'T HELP US.
WHILE DRIVING CAR JUST TURNS OFF FOR NO REASON. WHEN PUSHING THE REMOTE START BUTTON WINDOW ROLL DOWN. HEATED SEATS WILL NOT COME ON BUT FOR A SECOND OR TWO. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES.
TWO TIMES I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND VEHICLE SHUT DOWN. I WAS PARKED THEN TRIED TO START AN WOULD NOT START. IT HAS A REMOTE START AN STARTS ON ITS OWN AN WINDOWS ROLL DOWN ON THEIR OWN. WHEN I GET NEAR THE VEHICLE WITH THE KEY FAB THE LIGHTS COME ON AN SOMETIMES WITHOUT PUSHING THE BUTTON ON KEY FAB IT STARTS ON ITS OWN. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING AN WENT TO TURN IN DRIVEWAY AN IT SHUT DOWN. STOPPED AT STOPLIGHT AN IT SHUT DOWN. IT HAS ALWAYS STARTED BACK UP EXCEPT FOR ONE TIME I HAD TO MANEUVER THE KEY A CERTAIN WAY IN IGNITION BEFORE IT WOULD START.
WAS DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 30 MILES AN HOUR ON A TURNING ROAD ONTO A HIGHWAY AND VEHICLE SHUT OFF. LOST ALL POWER STEERING AND BRAKES WERE HARD. HAD TO IMMEDIATELY GET OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO AVOID TRAFFIC COMING FROM THE REAR AS I LOST LIGHTS AS WELL AND MAY NOT HAVE BEEN SEEN AS IT WAS DARK AND THE VEHICLE IS BLACK. WHEN PULLED OVER I PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND ATTEMPTED TO RESTART. AFTER THE 2ND TIME TURNING THE KEY IT STARTED. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS ARE PRESENT ON THE CAR OTHER THAN A TPMS SENSOR.
2010 JOURNEY SXT FOUND WITH ACTIVE HEADREST DEPLOYED ON THE FRONT DRIVER'S SEAT PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY. NO ACCIDENTS - NO BUMPING. THE STEEL PIN WAS STILL IN THE CATCH AND PLASTIC CASING THAT IS SUPPOSED TO HOLD THE STEEL PIN BROKE AWAY.
THE STARTER WAS REPLACED. IT WILL START SEVERAL TIMES. THEN I TRY TO START IT AND IT JUST CLICKS OVER & OVER. I HAVE TO KEEP TURNING THE KEY FOB SOMETIMES 20 TIMES BEFORE IT CRANKS ON. IT'S WHEN CAR IS OFF & PARKED AND I GO TO START IT.
HEADREST AIRBAG DEPLOYED WITHOUT BEING HIT.
MY CAR RANDOMLY SHUTS OFF WHEN I GO FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE. I CAN BE PULLING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY OR A PARKING SPOT AT A STORE AND WOULD HAVE TO TURN KEY TO OFF AND RESTART CAR AND WAIT A FEW MINUTES BEFORE I PUT IT IN DRIVE. PLUS THE HORN GOES OFF OCCASIONALLY.
THE HORN BEGINS TO SOUND ON ITS OWN AND AT SHORT AND/OR LONG BURTS AND A COMBINATION OF BOTH WHILE DRIVING OR PARKED ALL HOURS OF THE DAY. THERE IS NO WAY TO STOP THIS. THIS CAN CAUSE SEVERE ACCIDENTS!
AUTOMATIC GEAR FAILS CAUSING DELAYS ON SHIFTING AND UNINTENDED ACCELERATION.
MY CAR IS SHUTTING OFF WHILE I'M DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. I ALMOST CRASHED LAST NIGHT, THIS IS THE THIRD TIME IT'S HAPPENED OVER THE LAST MONTH. MY DAD IS NOT ALLOWING ME TO DRIVE IT ANY LONGER AND I STILL OWE ON IT SO THAT'S NOT OKAY. I'M A FOSTER PARENT TO 4 CHILDREN AND OUR SAFETY IS ALWAYS IMPORTANT BUT THIS CAR IS A DEATH TRAP WAITING TO HAPPEN.
I WAS DRIVING IN MY 2010 DODGE JOURNEY WHEN THE DRIVER HEAD REST DEPLOYED.....NO EVENT CAUSED THE PAINFUL EJECTION. I ALMOST HIT A SEMI COMING IN MY DIRECTION. THERE ARE MANY TESTAMENTS TO OTHERS EXPERIENCING THE SAME FLAW IN THEIR DODGE JOURNEYS. IT SHOULD BE RECALLED......WHO KNOWS IF THIS CAUSES ACCIDENTS AND IT JUST APPEARS AS THOUGH IT WAS A RESULT INSTEAD OF THE CAUSE. THE DEALERSHIP THAT SOLD THIS CAR IS UNABLE TO HELP ME......THE REPAIR IS MY SOLE RESPONSIBILITY. COMPLETELY NEGLIGENT OF CHRYSLER/DODGE,!!! I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED AND STILL HAVE THE TERRIBLE HEAD PAIN 2 DAYS LATER!!! I FEEL AS THOUGH OTHERS NEED TO KNOW OF THIS DANGER. HORN INADVERTENTLY GOING OFF WHILE DRIVING AND STATIONARY, HAD TO PULL THE FUSES. APPARENTLY, THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE.

THE VEHICLE WILL ONLY START WHILE PUT INTO NEUTRAL, WHEN IT DESIRES, THIS DOES NOT WORK ALL THE TIME. HAVE BEEN TOLD BY SEVERAL MECHANICS AND THE DEALER THAT IT IS A ONGOING PROBLEM WITH THE NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH IN 2009 AND 2010 DODGE JOURNEYS, BECAUSE THE SWITCH BECOMES LOOSE AND NEEDS ADJUSTMENTS EVERY FEW MONTHS. THIS HAS RESULTED IN MYSELF BEING STRANDED SEVERAL MILES FROM HOME IN A HEAT ADVISORY, THAT RESULTED IN HEAT STROKE, FROM NOT BEING ABLE TO GET ACCESS TO A COOL PLACE WITH FLUIDS AS THE VEHICLE LEFT ME STRANDED FOR SEVERAL HOURS AWAITING HELP. TOW TRUCK DRIVER TOOK NOTE OF THE VEHICLE MAKE AND MODEL AN KNEW EXACTLY WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS AN PLACED IT IN NEUTRAL AND IT STARTED RIGHT UP, WAS ADVISED TO CONTACT AND REPORT A SAFETY ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE.
MOVED A BAG IN THE BACK SEAT WHILE SITTING IN THE DRIVERS SEAT AND THE HEADREST DEPLOYED SMACKING ME IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD.
CAR HAS A NO START ISSUE, REPLACED BATTERY A FEW TIMES, HAVE TO KEEP A JUMP PACK WITH ME, SOMETIMES THE JUMP PACK WONT START THE CAR. HAD THIS CAR IN TO SHOP AND THE JUST REPLACED THE BATTER AGAIN. STILL HAS A SPERATIC NO START PROBLEM. LAST TIME WAS PARKED ON A BUSY STREET IN FRONT OF A CLOTHS SHOP, WENT SHOPPINGCANE OUT CAR WOULD NOT START. CALLED TOW TRUCK, THEY TRIED A JUMP PACK, THE TRIED THERE PACK AND MINE AT THE SAME TIME, DIDNT START. HAD IT TOWED TO MY HOUSE, $95, BILL AND THE CAR STARTED RIGHT UP, NO PROBLEM AFTER TAKEN OFF THE TOW TRUCK.
VEHICLE KEEPS RANDOMLY STALLING WHILE DRIVING. VEHICLE WILL SHUT OFF AND I HAVE TO TURN THE IGNITION OFF COMPLETELY THEN LET IT SIT TO RESTART. SOMETIMES I HAVE TO PUT VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL TO GET IT TO START. HAD BATTERY, FUEL, SPARK PLUGS, ALTERNATOR CHECKED AND THEY ARE WORKING FINE. RANDOM LIGHTS KEEP FLICKERING ON THE DASH. THIS MUST BE AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE. PLEASE ISSUE A RECALL!!!! SEVERAL OTHER OWNERS WITH THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THE EXACT SAME ISSUE. *TR
HEAD RESTS BOTH ARE POPPED OUT. THEY HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE AIR BAG SYSTEM. THEY HIT MY HEAD ON THE DRIVER SIDE THE LAST WEEK HIT MY COUSIN IN THE HEAD. IT HURT A LOT. IT'S MY UNDERSTANDING FROM RESEARCH THIS HAPPENS ACROSS MANY YEARS AND MAKES OF DODGE JOURNEY. *TR
ON 06/05 CAR WOULD NOT START AT BIG LOTS STORE THOUGHT BATTERY HAD DIED AND STARTED IMMEDIATELY AFTER GETTING JUMPED WHICH HAPPENS OFTEN IF LEAVING A LIGHT ON OR DOOR SLIGHTLY AJAR SO WENT TO WALMART NEXT AND LEFT CAR RUNNING TO MAKE SURE WOULD NOT NEED TO GET JUMPED AFTERWARDS AND WHEN I CAME OUT OF STORE CAR WAS NO LONGER RUNNING. A WALMART ASSOCIATE CAME OUT TO JUMP CAR FOR ME AND AFTER CAR STARTED IT WENT DEAD AGAIN AFTER A FEW SECONDS OF STARTED. I WENT INSIDE AND BOUGHT A BATTERY IN CASE I NEEDED A NEW BATTERY HOWEVER IT TURNED OUT TO NOT BE THE CASE AFTER BEING AT WALMART FOR 3 HOURS TRYING TO GET CAR TO STAY ON LONG ENOUGH TO GET OUT OF PARKING LOT I WAS ABLE TO GET IT HOME FOR IT TO SHUT OFF AGAIN. I TESTED IT OUT THE FOLLOWING DAY AND ONLY MADE IT TO THE END IF THE BLOCK AND IT SHUT OFF ON ME AGAIN. I STAYED AT THE END OF THE STREET FOR AN HOUR UNTIL MY HUSBAND WAS ABLE TO GET IT GOING LONG ENOUGH TO GET IT BACK HOME AND HAS REMAINED THERE UNTIL I GET THIS ISSUE SOLVED. MY HUSBAND HAS LEARNED ONLINE THAT LOTS OF OTHER PEOPLE WITH THE SAME VEHICLE HAVE THIS SAME ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE WHERE ONE DAY THEY CAN DRIVE AROUND FINE AND THE NEXT THE VEHICLE SHUTS OFF AS IF THE BATTERY IS DEAD. *TR

I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND MY CAR STALLED COMPLETELY. I HAD TO COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY AND TRY TO RESTART MY CAR. ALSO, HAVE ISSUES WITH BATTERY BEING DRAINED OF ALL POWER, HAD TO REPLACE BATTERY. MY HORN RANDOMLY BEEPS WHETHER DRIVING OR NOT. ALARM SYSTEM WILL SOUND ALL HOURS OF NIGHT, HAD TO PULL FUSE. SINCE THEN THE HAZARD LIGHTS RANDOMLY BLINK OFF AND ON. THE DAY AFTER THE ENGINE STALLED ON ME, NOW HAVE A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON AND CODE IS THROWING OUT ITS THE ERG VALVE SYSTEM AND GASKET... THESE ARE BIG ISSUES AND NEED TO BE REPAIRED. I'M NOT HAPPY WITH THESE ISSUES AND DODGE NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. *TR

STARTED WITH RANDOM HORN BLOWING. I HAD TO TAKE FUSES OUT OF TIPM TO STOP THIS. ABOUT 1 YEAR LATER THE BATTERY DIED. RWOULD NOT TAKE A JUMP. HAD CAR TOWED TO A GARAGE AND EPLACED THE BATTERY, IT WAS DEAD AGAIN 3 WEEKS LATER. IT WOULD NOT TAKE A JUMP. HAD CAR TOWED TO A DIFFERENT GARAGE, THEY SAID I NEEDED A NEW BATTERY. THE GARAGE MANAGED TO JUMP START THE CAR AND I DROVE IT HOME WITH MANY DASH LIGHTS BLINKING AND THE POWER/ENGINE LIMPING ALONG. THIS IS APPARENTLY A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM WITH THE TIPM. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL.
I BOUGHT MY 2010 DODGE JOURNEY USED. SHORTLY AFTER BUYING IT I NOTICED THE HORN AND ALARM SYSTEM WOULD RANDOMLY GO OFF ON ITS OWN WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, STATIONARY AT A STOP OR WHILE THE CAR WAS PARKED AND TURNED OFF. I, UNFORTUNATELY, HAD TO ELIMINATE THIS PROBLEM BY TAKING OUT THE FUSES FOR MY HORM AND ALARM SYSTEM. THIS HAS CAUSED SOME SAFETY ISSUES. I HAVE ALSO HAD ANOTHER ELECTRICAL ISSUE THAT HAS COST ME OVER A THOUSAND DOLLARS TO TRY TO FIGURE OUT. MY CAR BATTERY WOULD DRAIN OVERNIGHT. AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS A BAD BATTERY BECAUSE IT WAS ABOUT 2 YEARS AFTER I GOT MY CAR. I REPLACED THE BATTERY AND THAT HELPED FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS. THEN THE BATTERY STARTED DRAINING AGAIN AND HAD TO BE JUMP STARTED EVERY DAY. I HAD IT HOOKED UP TO A DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE WHERE IT WAS FOUND THAT MY ALTERNATOR NEEDED CHANGED. WENT AHEAD AND DID THAT AND STILL HAD TO JUMP MY CAR EVERY DAY. I DID THIS FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS STRAIGHT NOT BEING ABLE TO FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS WRONG. FINALLY DID A LITTLE MORE RESEARCH AND FOUND IT COULD BE THE FUSE BOX MODULE. BOUGHT ONE OF THOSE AND PUT IT IN. ALSO HAD TO BUY A NEW BATTERY DUE TO HAVING TO JUMP START IT OVER AND OVER FOR 2 MONTHS. COSTING AROUND $900 FOR THE BOTH. THIS FIXED THE PROBLEM FOR A FEW MONTHS BUT THEN THE BATTERY STARTED DRAINING AGAIN. THIS TIME I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC. THEY RAN TESTS AND HAD MY CAR FOR 4 DAYS. THEY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT FOR SURE WHAT WAS WRONG BUT THOUGHT MAYBE IT WAS IN MY INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. WOULD COST $600 FOR THE PART AND $200 FOR INSTALLATION. I DECIDED TO JUST PULL MY MAIN ELECTRICAL FUSE EVERYDAY INSTEAD AND CONTINUE ON WITH MY CRAP CAR. COME TO FIND OUT 5 MONTHS LATER MY FRIEND DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND SOME OTHER PEOPLE HAVING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM AND IT WAS THE RADIO DRAINING THE BATTERY. SURE ENOUGH WE UNHOOKED MY RADIO COMPLETELY AND I HAVEN'T HAD AN ISSUE SINCE!!
VEHICLES HORN GOES OFF RANDOMLY; WHILE DRIVING, STATIONARY, WHILE IT'S ON OR OFF, HOT OR COLD. RELAYS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION.
VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND THE PIN POPPED OUT OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT HEADREST
DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD MY CAR SHUT OFF ON ITS OWN. I HAD TO PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL TO GET IT STARTED AGAIN. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENS FREQUENTLY. I FOUND OUT THAT A RECALL ON THE IGNITION SWITCH MODULE HAD BEEN REPAIRED BUT IT IS STILL HEPENING SO I FEEL THE RECALL NEEDS TO BE REOPENED. IF IT GOES UNFIXED I FEAR IT WILL CAUSE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT.
I JUST BOUGHT A 2010 DODGE JOURNEY AND I HAD TO TAKE THE 2 FUSSES OUT BC THE HORN KEEPED GOING OFF BY ITS SELF
HORN BEGINS HONKING RANDOMLY, MOST OF THE TIME WHILE STATIONARY AND NO ONE WAS IN IT. DID START HONKING WHILE I WAS IN IT BUT NOT DRIVING IT. PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY
THIS IS THE SECOND TIME WITHIN THREE MONTHS THIS HAS HAPPENED. FIRST TIME I WAS DRIVING AT 30 MPH AND WAS ABLE TO SAFELY PULL OVER. SECOND TIME. DRIVING AND ALL THE SUDDEN LOSE POWER STEERING. A HOSE UNDER CAR KEEPS BURSTING AT THE PINCH CLAMP AND LOSING ALL POWER STEERING FLUID. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE THIS WINTER. LAST NIGHT AT START UP WITH BELOW FREEZING TEMPS. CAR STARTED HEARD A NOISE LIKE I RAN OVER SOMETHING ( CAR WAS IN PARK) AND LOST ALL POWER STEERING FLUID.
I WENT TO START MY VEHICLE AND UPON IGNITION MY HEADLIGHTS TURNED ON AND MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS TURNED ON CONTINUOUSLY. MY BLINKERS WOULD NOT WORK AND MY BRIGHT LIGHTS WOULD NOT TURN ON. ALL FUSES ARE WORKING CORRECTLY AND EVERYTHING ELSE ON THE VEHICLE WORKS CORRECTLY BUT THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WILL NOT TURN OFF THE HEADLIGHTS WILL NOT TURN OFF AND THE BLINKERS BRIGHT LIGHTS BACK WINDSHIELD AND ANY OTHER OPTIONS FROM THE STEERING WHEEL STOPPED WORKING.
I WALKED OUTSIDE TO MY JOURNEY AND THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT HEADREST WAS DEPLOYED WITH NO OCCUPANCY AT THE TIME. THE LITTLE BLACK CLIPS ARE BROKEN AND I CANNOT PULL IT BACK DOWN TO DISENGAGE.
FOR A A FEW YEARS NOW I HAVE DEALING WITH HORN HONKING ON ITS OWN. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, WHILE DRIVING, WHILE PARKED RANDOMLY. I'VE BEEN TRYING TO SOLVE THE ISSUE AND NOTHING WORKS. I READ LOTS OF COMPLAINT WITH THE SAME ISSUE ON DODGEFORUM.COM BUT AGAIN NO SOLUTION. ON 2/17/20 I NEARLY HAD A BAD ACCIDENT BECAUSE I DONT HAVE A HORN, I'VE BEEN TAKING OUT THE FUSE BECAUSE OF THE RANDOM HONKING WHILE DRIVING. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME MORE THAN ONCE ALMOST GETTING INTO ACCIDENTS BECAUSE IF HORN ISSUE. I COMMUTE 2 HOURS A DAY FOR WORK SOMETIMES MORE AND DO NOT FEEL SAFE USING CAR BUT HAVE NO CHOICE. FOR SO MANY YEARS NO SOLUTION TO PROBLEM BY DODGE.
