MY CATALYTIC CONVERTOR IS BAD, AND I'M ONLY AT 85,286 MILES. I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS PART IS ALREADY BAD ON A 2 YEAR OLD CAR. THIS HAPPENED WHEN I WAS DRIVING, AND MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. NOTHING SPECIFIC HAPPENED THAT SHOULD CAUSE THIS ISSUE. ALSO, MY STRUTS ARE LEAKING. I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THIS UNTIL I HAD MY CAR CHECKED AT THE DEALERSHIP. WHY ARE THESE PARTS FAILING ALREADY?
HEATER CORE...THERE IS MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ON THE HEATER CORE GOING OUT. COSTING PEOPLE ATOT OF MONEY. MY CAR IS JUST 3 YEARS OLD HEAT SHOULD STILL WORK.
I HAD A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURN ON- WITHIN SECONDS MY ENGINE SHUT OFF AND I LOST ALL POWER STEERING AND BRAKE CONTROL. I HAD TO LET THE CAR ROLL TO A STOP. I PUT THE CAR INTO PARK AND RESTARTED IT. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE ABOUT 100 FT AND IT TURNED OFF AGAIN. TOWED TO DEALERSHIP AND CODE THAT CAME UP WAS FOR THE THROTTLE BODY TO BE REPLACED ($716 USD). I HAD IT FIXED BUT CAR STILL WAS NOT DRIVING THE SAME AS BEFORE THE REPLACEMENT. 10 DAYS LATER THE SAME THING HAPPENED IN MY SUBDIVISION. THE ENGINE TURNED OFF AND I LOST STEERING AND BRAKES. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN. THIS TIME THE CAR WOULD NOT TURN OVER. IT WOULD TRY TO -YOU COULD HEAR THE ENGINE TRYING TO START. TOWED IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND NOW IT IS THE CRANK SENSOR?(ANOTHER $147USD). EACH TIME THIS HAPPENED I WAS IN THE CAR WITH MY KIDS AND HAD TO LET THE CAR JUST ROLL TO A STOP. THE FIRST OCCURANCE WAS ON 11/28/17 AND THE SECOND WAS ON 12/14/17.
MY CAR STEERING WHEEL MAKE NOISE WHEN I TURN THE STEERING AND WAS TOLD IT'S IN RECALL I TAKE TO THE DEALER 3TIMRS ND THEY NEVER FIXED IT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 DODGE JOURNEY. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO DECREASE IN SPEED WHILE THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE LOCAL DEALER (LANDMARK DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM, 6850 MT ZION BLVD, MORROW, GA 30260) WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS FOR THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 62,000.
WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY, MY ALTERNATOR WENT OUT. THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON AND ALL OF THE LIGHTS STARTED FLASHING. I MANAGED TO EXIT THE FREEWAY AND GET TO A SAFE POINT. I AM REPORTING THIS BECAUSE I SEE THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON 2011 - 2014 MODELS. THE VERY SAME THING HAPPENED TO MY VEHICLE.
AN UNKNOWN ISSUE IS COMPLETELY DRAINING THE BATTERY. THUS, RENDERING THE TRUCK INOPERABLE. THE AUTO DOOR LOCKS WOULD NOT WORK AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. THE FIRST OCCURRENCE TOOK PLACE ROUGHLY TWO MONTHS AGO. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT DARCARS TEMPLE HILLS, MD, TRIED TO CONVINCE ME THAT I LEFT MY TRUCK RUNNING. THIS TIME, SAME EXACT ISSUE TOOK PLACE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 DODGE JOURNEY. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, THE ABS FAILED. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH DURING A RAINSTORM, THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. WHEN THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL, THERE WAS A SPRING-LIKE MALFUNCTION THAT OCCURRED AND THE VEHICLE WAS DIFFICULT TO STOP. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE CAME TO AN ABRUPT STOP WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED. PEACOCK CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM RUNSWICK (5400 ALTAMA AVENUE, BRUNSWICK, GEORGIA 31525, (912) 231-4453) WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REPLACED THE ABS SENSOR. THE FAILURE RECURRED. UPON THE SECOND OCCURRENCE OF THE FAILURE, WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, THE CONTACT ENTERED THE VEHICLE AND THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,000.
THE PROBLEM WAS THE ENGINE STALLING WHILE DRIVING. LOST THE ABILITY TO STEER AND BRAKE. I HAD THIS PROBLEM HAPPEN TO MY 18YR OLD DAUGHTER ON OCTOBER 9TH 2017. I CALLED THE DEALER ON OCTOBER 10TH WHERE WE PURCHASED IT TO EXPLAIN WHAT WAS GOING ON. THEY GOT IT IN THAT MORNING AND DROVE IT FOR ABOUT 30 MILES AND COULD NOT RECREATE THE PROBLEM. THEY SAID THE CAR DID NOT GIVE THEM ANY CODES TO TELL THEM WHAT THE ISSUE WAS SO THEY COULD NOT DO ANYTHING BECAUSE THEY DID NOT KNOW WHAT TO REPLACE. I AM NOT SURE IF THERE IS A RELEVANCE TO THE PROBLEM BUT A WEEK BEFORE THIS HAPPENED MY KEYFOB WOULD NOT WORK AT ALL. THE CAR WOULD SAY KEY NOT DETECTED. I HAD TO PRESS THE KEYFOB INTO THE BUTTON TO GET THE CAR STARTED. ONCE I GOT HOME, WHICH IS 15 MILES AWAY, I NOTICED THE TPM SENSORS WERE ONLY READING 1 TIRE PRESSURE. THE OTHERS WERE READING "---". THE KEYFOB BATTERY'S WERE REPLACED ON BOTH KEYFOBS TO MAKE SURE THAT WAS NOT THE ISSUE BUT IT DIDN'T HELP. I DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY TO RESET THE COMPUTER AND THE KEYFOBS STARTED TO WORK CORRECTLY. I DROVE THE CAR A FEW MILES AND THE TPM SENSORS STARTED TO READ. AGAIN I AM NOT SURE IF THIS IS RELATED BUT THOUGHT I SHOULD POINT IT OUT. ABS LIGHT CAME ON
WHILE DRIVING WITH OUR TWO CHILDREN IN THE VEHICLE THE ENGINE SHUT OFF AND THE POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES DID NOT WORK, THERE WAS NO CONTROL OVER THE VEHICLE. LUCKILY IT WAS A CITY SIDE ROAD AND WE WERE ABLE TO COAST TO A STOP WITHOUT HITTING ANYTHING OR GETTING REAR ENDED. NOTHING WOULD WORK ON THE VEHICLE. AFTER ABOUT 10 SECONDS THE ENGINE STARTED BACK UP WITHOUT HAVING THE BRAKE PRESSED OR PRESSING THE START BUTTON. MY WIFE DROVE THE VEHICLE BACK TO OUR HOUSE WHICH WAS ABOUT SIX BLOCKS AWAY.
ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, MY JOURNEY HAS JUST SHUT DOWN WHILE IN MOTION. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME AND MY HUSBAND. LIGHTS GO OFF, ENGINE WILL NOT START, CANNOT PUSH THE BRAKE TO INITIALIZE STARTUP. ONLINE I HAVE FOUND MANY OTHERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. SOME BELIEVE THAT IT IS RELATED TO THE KEY FAB. THE ELECTRONICS KEY IS NOT BEING RECOGNIZED AND SHUTTING DOWN THE CAR. I TOOK IT TO DODGE DEALER AND OF COURSE THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE PROBLEM OR GET A CODE. HOWEVER, THE DANGER OF THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!! I HAVE TWO BOYS UNDER THE AGE OF FOUR! WILL A DEATH HAVE TO OCCUR TO INVESTIGATE THIS!?
WHILE DRIVING WITH MY 2 YOUNG CHILDREN MY CAR SHUT OFF OUT OF NO WHERE. I WAS DRIVING DOWN A BUSY STREET IN A LARGE CITY AND WENT TO TURN RIGHT INTO A PARKING LOT, AS SOON AS I PULLED INTO THE LOT THE CAR SHUT OFF, THE STEERING WHEEL AND BREAK LOCKED AND I COULDN'T DO ANYTHING TO MAKE THE CAR START. AFTER ABOUT A MINUTE OF FRANCIALLY PUSHING THE 'PUSH TO START' BUTTON THE CAR TURNED BACK ON. THANKFULLY WE WERE IN THE PARKING LOT AT THIS POINT BECUASE IF WE WERE STILL ON THE STREET WE WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN IN A MAJOR ACCIDENT.
"TAKATA RECALL" I WAS DRIVING OVER A RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD (NO MORE THAN 25MPH) AND WE HAVE A COLLISION WITH ANOTHER CAR. OUR CAR WAS HIT ON BACK WHEEL AND WAS UP IN THE AIR AND ROLL UP 3 TIMES. NONE OF THE AIR BAGS INSIDE OF THE CAR DEPLOYED. THIS CAUSED DAMAGE, SCARS AND BRUISES ON MY LEFT SIDE OF THE NECK, SHOULDER, ARM AND HAND. THANKFULLY MY HUSBAND AND DAUGHTER HAS NOT BEEN INJURED, JUST ME.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BUTLER CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP (1555 SALEM RD, BEAUFORT, SC 29902) WHERE THE ABS WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE SAME DEALER BACK AT (843) 474-0026 AND WAS INFORMED TO BRING THE VEHICLE TO THE SHOP. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. ADDITIONALLY, THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V432000 (AIR BAGS). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 135,000. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
CAR STALLS IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS CAN CAUSE A FATAL ACCIDENT. THE FUEL SYSTEM IS ALWAYS THROWING A CODE
AIR CONDITIONER RANDOMLY TURNS ON. UPON ACCELERATION AND OR STARTING OR STOPPING CAR. AT A STOP SIGN OR LIGHT.
BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON FOLLOWED BY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THEN RECEIVED A MESSAGE SAYING BATTERY SAVER MODE. CAR FUNCTION SUCH AS REMOTE START AND RADIO WERE NOT WORKING. MY BATTERY WAS COMPLETELY DEAD AND REPLACED IT WITH A NEW ONE. 4 DAYS LATER, SAME PROBLEMS OCCURED. THIS TIME CAR SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING. THIS WAS VERY SCARY AND EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. I HAVE BEEN HAVING SO MANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS CAR EVER SINCE MY FACTORY WARRANTY EXPIRED.
ON 7/26/17 I WAS DRIVING ON A LOCAL ROAD IN EASTCHESTER NY GOING UNDER 25 MPH WHEN THE HEADREST RESTRAINT DEPLOYED AND INJURED THE BACK OF MY HEAD. WENT TO ER AND NEED TO SEE A SPECIALIST FOR INJURY. CONTACTED DODGE/CHRYSLER AND WAS TREATED LIKE I WAS AT FAULT. LEASE DEALER STEPPED IN AND VERIFIED THERE WAS NO COLLISON. DODGE HAS AN ENGINEER SCHEDULED TO INSPECT IT 7/31/17. WAS TOLD TO GO THROUGH MY INSURANCE FOR INJURIES BUT THERE WAS NO COLLISION!! ALSO, WAS TOLD TO USE UBER. LEASE DEALERSHIP FINALLY GAVE ME A LOANER. YOUTUBE VIDEO LINK IN THIS MESSAGE OF CAR. ONE WEEK AFTER PURCHASING VEHICLE, NAVIGATION SYSTEM HAD ERRORS. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO FIND ROUTE, RECEIVED TWO ERROR MESSAGES. "CAN'T UNLOCK MAPS" AND "DETAILED MAPS ARE REQUIRED FOR ROUTING. NO DETAILED MAPS FOUND ON THIS UNIT." TOOK VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP (STILL UNDER WARRANTY) AND THEY PERFORMED SOFTWARE UPGRADE AND SAID IT WAS NOW WORKING. WENT TO LEAVE DEALERSHIP, STARTED VEHICLE, AND ERROR MESSAGES RETURNED. DEALERSHIP SAID THEY'D NOW HAVE TO ORDER NEW RADIO AS THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM. ALSO TOLD THE DEALERSHIP ABOUT MESSAGE THAT APPEARED ON DASH THAT SAID "KEY HAS LEFT VEHICLE" - EVEN THOUGH I HAD THE KEY FOB ON MY PERSON, WAS SITTING IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT, AND MY ENGINE WAS RUNNING. ALSO RECEIVED AN ERROR MESSAGE ABOUT THE FUEL CAP AND THE LOW FUEL ICON STAYED ON FOR TWO DAYS AFTER FILLING WITH FUEL. READJUSTED THE FUEL CAP TWICE AND ICON STILL REMAINED AND THEN DISAPPEARED AFTER TWO DAYS ON IT'S OWN. DEALERSHIP SAID THEY'D LOOK AT IT IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN. POSSIBLY RELATED TO THE COMPUTER SYSTEM ISSUE.
WHILE DRIVING ON BUSY INTERSECTION VEHICLE JUST SHUT OFF ON ITS OWN. STEERING WHEEL LOCKED THEREFORE I HAD NO CONTROL. ALMOST CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE AND MEDIAN. HAD TO WAIT FOR IT TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP ON THE MIDDLE OF INTERSECTION TO BE ABLE TO RESTART IT.
WHEN IN MOTION GOING AT VARIETY SPEEDS THE CAR STALLS MID MOVEMENT AND POWER STEERING STOPS. IT HAS HAPPENED AT STOPS AS WELL AS IN MOTION.
JUNE 2017: IGNITION FAILURE, TOTAL COMPONENT REPLACEMENT; JULY 2017, SEPTEMBER 2017; JULY 2018: CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR FAILURE RESULTING IN ENGINE STALL, FULL ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILURE AND TOTAL VEHICLE SHUTDOWN AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS (60+MPH) FORCED TO COAST VEHICLE TO A STOP; BEGINNING JULY 2017 INTERMITTENT AND ONGOING: UNRESPONSIVE TRANSMISSION RESULTING IN DELAYED OR NOT CHANGING OF GEARS, ELEVATED RPM READINGS WHILE MPH STAYS STUCK (I.E. 4500+ RPMS BUT VEHICLE WILL NOT ACCELERATE PAST 40MPH), EXTREMELY DECEASED AVERAGE MILES PER GALLON WITH NO SIGNIFICANT CHANGE TO DRIVING HABITS OR MILES DRIVEN (I.E. PREVIOUS AVERAGE APPOX 19.9 MPG, CURRENT READ 13.2 WITH); VEHICLE OUT OF SERVICE 55 DAYS FOR REPAIRS IN THE LAST CALENDAR YEAR
TIRES HAVE HAD SEPARATION ISSUES ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS - STEERING WHEEL HARD TO HANDLE AND VEHICLE SHAKING
THE PASSENGER SEAT HAS CRACKED AND CRUMBLED. DRIVER SEAT RECLINER LEAVER IS BROKEN. CAN FALL FORWARD ON HEAVY BREAK STOP. DODGE REFUSES TO REPLACE THEM. MAJOR SAFETY PROBLEMS!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 DODGE JOURNEY. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS APPLIED BUT FAILED TO RESPOND. THE ABS INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A POLE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000.
I WAS DRIVING MY CAR OUT OF A DRIVE THROUGH AND WHEN I GOT TO WHERE I NEEDED TO TURN, MY ENGINE JUST SHUT OFF. CAR STARTED ROLLING ELECTRICAL WAS STILL ON (LIGHTS, ETC;) BUT THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT TURN AT ALL. I HAD TO PUT IT IN PARK, TURN IT OFF AND THEN TURN IT BACK ON AGAIN. AFTER THAT, IT WORKED AGAIN. WHAT IF THIS HAPPENS TO ME GOING 80 ON THE INTERSTATE? I HAVE CHILDREN TO THINK ABOUT.
2 LIGHTS CAME ON ON THE DASH. IT WAS DETERMINED TO BE THE ANTI LOCK BRAKE SENSOR SO I HAD IT REPLACED. LESS THAN 30 DAYS LATER, IT CAME ON AGAIN. IT WAS DETERMINED TO BE THE SAME THING BUT THEY WOULDN'T COVER FIXING IT BECAUSE THEY DIDNT KNOW IF IT WAS THE SAME ONE THEY HAD ALREADY REPLACED IR ANOTHER OF THE SENSORS. APPARENTLY THIS IS SOMETHING THAT HAPPENS ON ALL DODGE JOURNEYS AND FOR SOME REASON, A RECALL HASNT BEEN ISSUED.
AT TIMES THE CAR REFUSES TO DOWNSHIFT IN ORDER TO SAFELY ACCELERATE WHEN NEEDED. COMMON EXAMPLE IS WHEN COMING TO A "ROLLING STOP" AT A STOPLIGHT AND PREPARING TO TURN LEFT THROUGH AN INTERSECTION, THE CAR IS USUALLY IN 3RD OR 4TH GEAR. WHEN WE PRESS THE GAS PEDAL, 3RD OR 4TH GEAR AREN'T LOW ENOUGH GEARS TO MAKE THE CAR SAFELY ACCELERATE THROUGH THE INTERSECTION SO YOU'RE LEFT JUST CREEPING THROUGH IT IN 3RD OR 4TH GEAR WHEN THE CAR SHOULD'VE DOWNSHIFTED TO 1ST OR 2ND GEAR FROM RECOGNIZING THE GAS WAS DEPRESSED SIGNIFICANTLY. BUT OVER AND OVER AGAIN THIS SCENARIO PLAYS OUT AND IT'S PUT MY WIFE AND FAMILY IN DANGER EACH TIME. IT WAS FOUND AT THE SERVICE APPOINTMENT AT LUCAS DODGE IN JUNE OF 2017 THAT THERE WAS A TRANSMISSION FLUID LEAK. IT IS UNKNOWN HOW LONG THIS LEAK EXISTED OR HOW MUCH FLUID LEAKED OUT OR HOW MUCH MECHANICAL TRANSMISSION DAMAGE OCCURRED. WE BOUGHT THIS CAR BRAND NEW AND IT'S NOW BEEN IN FOR AT LEAST 5 REPAIR ATTEMPTS FOR THIS PROBLEM AND WE KNOW THE WAY IT IS BEHAVING ISN'T NORMAL AS IT DIDN'T ACT THIS WAY WHEN WE FIRST BOUGHT IT, PLUS WE'VE HAD 2 IDENTICAL LOANER DODGE JOURNEY'S AND THEY DO NOT ACT THIS WAY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 DODGE JOURNEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT SEAT PASSENGER SIDE HEADREST AIR BAG DEPLOYED AFTER THE DOOR WAS CLOSED. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LANDERS DODGE JEEP CHRYSLER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEADREST AIR BAG DEPLOYED AND NEEDED TO BE RESET DUE TO THE SRS SYSTEM ACTIVATING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 39,042.
SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE I NOTICED THAT IT JERKED AS I DROVE. SEVERAL MONTHS AGO THE JERKING GOT A LITTLE WORSE BUT I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT IT WAS MY BRAKES. AS I WAS DRIVING THE OTHER DAY I FELT SEVERAL JERKS AND THEN THE CALL CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP WITH ALL OF THE POWER STILL BEING. I SHUT THE CAR OFF AND RESTARTED IT. THE CAR STARTED UP PERFECTLY FINE AS I SHIFTED IT INTO DRIVE THE CAR STARTED SHAKING AGAIN AND SHUT DOWN. ELTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT RANDOMLY COMES ON WHILE DRIVING AND FRONT PASSENGER HUB IS GOING OUT AT ONLY 30K MILES
WHILE MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK ON 3/14/17, HE STOPPED TO HELP A FELLOW OFFICER THAT WAS STRANDED, HE GOT OUT OF THE VEHICLE AND WAS HELPING THE OTHER OFFICER HE SMELLED SMOKE AND LOOKED BACK AND SAW THAT IT WAS OUR CAR ON FIRE. THE FIRE OCCURRED IN THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE DOOR PANEL, HE WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME,AFTER HE THOUGHT THE FIRE WAS OUT. THE NEXT DAY HE DROVE THE CAR TO THE AUTO SHOP,WHILE ON THE WAY THERE THE FIRE RESTARTED,HE WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT TO THE BODY SHOP. THE VEHICLE SAT AT THE DEALER SHIP FOR 13 OR 14 DAYS BEFORE WE FINALLY GOT THE OKAY FROM CHRYSLER TO FIX IT. THE MECAHANICAL PART WAS FIXED, HOWEVER THE SEVER SMELL FROM THE SMOKE,BURNT RUBBER,AND PLASTIC WAS NOT. WE DID TAKE THE VEHICLE BACK,AND THE DEALERSHIP DID DO EVERYTHING THEY COULD TO GET THE SMELL OUT, THE SMELL IS STILL THERE. THIS IS THE ONLY VEHICLE WE HAVE.SO WE HAVE HAD NO CHOICE, BUT TO DRIVE IT. I HAVE MADE AT LEAST 20-25 PHONE CALLS TO CHRYSLER, AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED ONE BACK, WE HAVE NOT EVEN RECEIVED THE REPORT FROM THE FIRE INSPECTOR THAT THEY SENT. I WOULD REALLY JUST LIKE TO GET SOME ANSWERS AND KNOW MY RIGHTS. ANY AND ALL HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

UPON IMPACT, MY BODY LUNGED FORWARD AND THE BACKWARDS LANDING ON THE SEAT, CAUSING IT TO RECLINE ALMOST ONTO THE 2ND ROW SEAT. WHEN MY BODY WENT BACKWARD, IT CAUSED ME TO UNHAND THE STEERING WHEEL. IT IS UNKNOWN WHAT MAY HAVE CAUSED THE SEAT TO RECLINE OTHER THAN THE IMPACT OF MY BODY ON THE SEAT. I HAVE A POLICE REPORT.

The front suspension and sway bar with all attachments should be recalled. I am not sure if other 2015 dodge Journey users have experienced this or not but since I got my car in 2016 i have had to replace all the parts on 4 different occasions. It is ridiculous and to me is a safety issue.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LAKE WALES CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP (21529 HIGHWAY 27 LAKE, WALES, FL 33850) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRONT END NEEDED TO BE GREASED. THE VEHICLE WAS STILL BEING SERVICED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE, BUT DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 26,000.
