FOR THE PAST WEEK, WHILE TAKING MY CHILDREN TO SCHOOL, ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET, THE CAR STALLS. I WILL BE ON THE ROAD AND GO TO SLOW DOWN BECAUSE I AM COMING UP ON A CAR AT THE STOP SIGN AND THE CAR STALLS OUT. I HAVE TO PUT IT IN PARK, TURN IT OFF, AND THEN TURN IT BACK ON AGAIN. AGAIN, THIS HAPPENS EVERY DAY.
MY WIFE WAS DRIVING HER 2016 DODGE JOURNEY ON A STREET WITH A 45 MPH SPEED LIMIT WHEN IT SUDDENLY LOST POWER AND DIED. IT WAS TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY REPLACED THE CRANKSHAFT SENSOR PLUG . WE PICKED UP THE VEHICLE ON 4/19/19 AND IT DIED AGAIN ON 4/22/19. THIS TIME, THE CAR WAS STATIONARY, BUT HAD I BE TOWED AGAIN. THIS TIME, THEY REPLACED THE CRANK SHAFT SENSOR. WE FOUND A RECALL ISSUED BY NHTSA - RECALL S89/NHTSA 16V-907 COVERING 2016 JOURNEYS FOR THE ENGINE BUILT FROM MAY 8,2016 TO JULY 12, 2016. THE BUILD DATE ON THE JOURNEY WE BOUGHT WAS 8/13/2015 AND IN SERVICE DATE OF 1/15/2016. I CALLED CHRYSLER AND THEY DENIED ANY RECALL INITIALLY ( SAME AS THE DEALERSHIP ) BUT THEN SAID THE BUILD DATE WAS SET OUTSIDE OF THE TIME FRAME SET BY NHTSA. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL PART, REPLACED. IN MY POSSESSION. I FEEL THAT THIS PROBLEM MAY BE MORE WIDESPREAD AND MAY NOT BE REPORTED BY MORE PEOPLE BASED ON LACK OF ACKNOWLEDGMENT BY BOTH CHRYSLER AND THE DEALERSHIP AS THEY ARE WRITING IT OFF AS A PART THAT ' JUST BROKE '
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 DODGE JOURNEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE UNTIL IT WAS REPAIRED BY CROWN CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM GREENSBORO (3710 W WENDOVER AVE, GREENSBORO, NC 27407, (336) 790-9850). THE DEALER INDICATED THAT THEY MADE A PROVISION OF SERVICING THE VEHICLE FOR A MANUFACTURER SERVICE CAMPAIGN REGARDING THE SUSPENSION, AND THEY REPLACED THE LOWER CONTROL ARM. THE REPAIR FAILED TO PROVIDE A SOLUTION; THEREFORE, THE DEALER STATED THAT THE STEERING BOOT MAY BE FAULTY. THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE WHEEL AND THE SUSPENSION WAS VERY UNSTABLE WHEN DRIVING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER MORE THAN THREE, BUT NO REMEDY WAS PROVIDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
I HAD A FLAT TIRE AND I WENT TO CHANGE THE FLAT FOR THE SPARE BUT I FOUND OUT THAT THE LUG NUT WRENCH THAT DODGE SUPPLIED WITH MY DODGE JOURNEY CROSSROAD WAS THE WRONG SIZE. I HAD TO THEN DRIVE THE VEHICLE OFF THE MAIN ROAD TO SAFETY CAUSING MORE DAMAGE TO THE RIM.
"SOMETIMES" THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT TURN ON. I HEAR A TICKING NOISE FOR A FEW SECONDS.. IF I PUSH ON THE BREAKS I CAN HEAR A GRINDING NOISE. THE LIGHTS ALWAYS TURN OFF AFTER A MINUTE OR TWO AND THE GRINDING NOISE ONLY HAPPENS WHEN BOTH THE ABS AND TRACKING LIGHTS ARE ON.
ASB LIGHT STAYS ON AS WELL AS A DEPICTION OF VEHICLE SLIDING ON ROAD, BOTH IN MOTION AND IN PARK. MILAGE ON VEHICLE IS JUST 13K MILES
MY CRANKSHAFT IS GOING OUT WE GOT THE VEHICLE CHECKED DUE TO THE ENGINE LIGHT TURNING ON. WE NOTICED THERE WAS A RECALL THE CRANKSHAFT FOR THE 2016 DODGE JOURNEY
THE WIRING HARNESS ON THE DRIVER DOOR, IS A PIECE OF CRAP. CHEAP CHINA THIN WIRE. BREAKS IT'S TERRIBLE. I NEVER SAW CHEAP#SS WIRE LIKE THAT. IT'S MORE BRITTLE, THAN PEANUT BRITTLE. THEN, I SEE ABOUT GETTING IT FIXED. WITH LABOR OVER $500.00 I DIDN'T PAY FOR CHEAP #SS WIRE'S TO BREAK, FOR ALMOST $30,000.00 I'VE NEVER HAD THIS ISSUE IN ANY CAR I'VE EVER HAD IN THE PAST 30+ YEAR'S EVER. THE DOOR'S WON'T LOCK THE INTERIOR LIGHTS FLAAH. IT BEEPS. WTH..........
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 DODGE JOURNEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 60 MPH, THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY DECELERATED TO 40 MPH. THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESPOND. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO MOVE THE VEHICLE TO THE SHOULDER AND THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED. THE VEHICLE THEN OPERATED AS INTENDED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY TAKEN AN UNKNOW MECHANIC FOR ROUTINE MAINTENANCE AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS A TRANSMISSION FLUID LEAK. ADDITIONALLY, THE GEAR SHIFTER WAS SHIFTED TO REVERSE HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESPOND. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SCHEDULED TO BE TOWED TO AN UNNAMED DEALER, WHICH WAS STILL PENDING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
POWER DISTRIBUTION CENTER WENT OUT IN VEHICLE AND REPAIRED FOR THE SECOND TIME. I DONT TRUST THE VEHICLE. STALLED ON THE HIGHWAY, WITH CHILDREN IN THE CAR. THIS WAS VERY SCARY AND DANGEROUS. THIS VEHICLE HAD A RECALL THAT TRIGGERED ALOT OF ISSUES WITH THE TRUCK, TO BE QUIET HONEST WHEN IT GETS FIXED I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING THE VEHICLE.
THE AIRBAG SIGN SHOW UP
ABS SYSTEM LIGHT COMES ON AND OFF AT WILL AND THIS WOULD BE THE 2ND TIME IN ABOUT A YEAR LAST TIME THE ABS LIGHT HAS DONE THIS LAST TIME IT CAUSED THE BRAKES TO LOCK DOWN RESULTING IT AN NON-INJURY ACCIDENT ALSO IT WOULD NOT CLEAR AFTER REPAIRS AND COMPUTER RESET
'TAKATA RECALL' IN LESS THAN A YEAR THE ABS LIGHT HAVE COME ON. THE FIRST TIME IT EVER CAME ON WAS STOPPING FOR A RED LIGHT ON THE HIGHWAY THE VEHICLE KEPT GOING. SECOND TIME LESS THAN A YEAR LATER THE LIGHT HAS COME BACK ON AND YOU HAVE TO PRESS THE BRAKES THEN RELEASE AND AND PRESS THE BRAKES AGAIN FOR THE VEHICLE TO STOP ADEQUATELY.
VEHICLE WAS IN REVERSE. AS SOON AS THE GAS WAS PRESSED THE ENGINE STALLED OUT. WE WERE PULLING OUT FROM A PARKING SPOT WHEN IT HAPPENED. THIS IS NOW THE FOURTH INSTANCE IN 4 WEEKS THIS HAS HAPPENED. CLEARLY CHRYSLER HASN'T FOUND ALL ITS VEHICLES PRODUCED WITH THIS PROBLEM SIMPLY BECAUSE THE VIN# SAYS IT SHOULD BE FINE
THE DRIVERS SIDE MASTER PANEL WILL NOT ALLOW THE WINDOWS TO ROLL DOWN. THERE IS A CLICKING NOISE WHEN TRYING TO ROLL DOWN, AND A HUMMING NOISE WHEN TRYING TO ROLL UP. NONE OF THE WINDOW SWITCHES ON ANY OF THE WINDOWS WILL WORK NOW. THE LOCK/ UNLOCK BUTTONS AND THE REAR VIEW MIRRORS STILL WORK. I STOPPED AT A DRIVE THROUGH PHARMACY WINDOW AND IT WOULD NOT ROLL DOWN. IT WORKED YESTERDAY AND WILL NOT TODAY. NOTHING TRAUMATIC (SPILLS, ETC.) HAPPENED BETWEEN NOW AND THEN.
VEHICLE WAS IN DRIVE WHEN THE ENGINE CUT OUT. ALL CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE WAS LOST. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE WITHIN ONE WEEK
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 DODGE JOURNEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ABS WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TURNERSVILLE JEEP CHRYSLER DODGE RAM (3100 NJ-42, ERIAL, NJ 08081, (856) 316-7956) WHERE THEY REPLACED THE FRONT SENSOR AND HUB BEARING. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER, BUT THEY DID NOT HAVE THE UNSPECIFIED PART AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SAFE TO DRIVE IN THE INTERIM. WHILE DRIVING, THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP AND REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE GRILL OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS DAMAGED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY REPLACED THE ABS PART AFTER THE CRASH. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THEY WANTED TO EXAMINE THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER CONCLUDED THAT THERE WAS NO MALFUNCTION WITH THE BRAKES AFTER THE REPAIRS FROM THE CRASH WERE ALREADY COMPLETED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE BEARINGS WERE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT FELT THAT THE DEALER WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CRASH. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 19,960. *BF CONSUMER STATED REPAIRS WERE DONE BUT ADJUSTOR ASKED CONSUMER TO BRING IN THE CAR.*JB
I STARTED MY VEHICLE FIRST THING IN THE MORNING AND MY ABS LIGHT AND THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT WERE ON WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK. AND MY CAR MADE A LOUD NOISE WHILE BRAKING NORMALLY JUST PULLING UP TO A STOP SIGN. THE LIGHT WENT OFF AFTER 10 MINUTES AND THEN I GOT TO WORK AND TURNED MY CAR OFF. AFTER WITH I TURNED THE CAR ON AND THE LIGHT HAD COME BACK ON AND I WAS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. I NOTICED THIS WAS A RECALL FOR PREVIOUS YEARS FROM 2012-2015 OF THE SAME VEHICLE REPORTING SIMILAR ISSUES. PLEASE HELP.
JUST DRIVING NORMAL DOWN THE ROAD ON A CITY STREETAND THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AND NOW STAYS ON. CAR WAS MFG 09/2015 AND HAS 44K ON IT. CANNOT FIND ANY RECALLS BUT ONE ITEM FROM MOTOR 1 DATED 07/14/2017 THAT SAID FAULTY WIRING ON JOURNEY CROSSOVER COULD CAUSE THE THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG TO UNEXPECTEDLY DEPLOY. WHEN I CALLED THE DEALER THEY SAID NOT TRUE AND IT'S NOT COVERED.HOW CAN THIS BE? PLEAS HELP

I WAS DRIVING TO WORK AND THERE WAS A STRANGE SMELL AS IF GAS FILLED THE CAR UP AND I GOT OUT AND MY HEAD WAS HURTING FROM THE SMELL AND I GOT NAUSEOUS AND THREW UP. WHILE I WAS DRIVING IT I ALMOST PASSED OUT. ALSO MY VOLUME GOES UP AND DOWN BY ITSELF AND THE A/C TURNS ON AND OFF.

THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SCOTT EVANS CHRYSLER, DODGE, JEEP, RAM (2280 BANKHEAD HWY, CARROLLTON, GA 30116, (770) 834-5050), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE REMEDY WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL NEXT MONTH. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,123.
VEHICLE STALLS RANDOMLY. MOSTLY AT LOW SPEEDS OR SLOWING DOWN.
AT THE END OF JAN/BEGINNING OF FEB I CONTACTED DODGE CARES WITH CATALYTIC CONVERTER ISSUE AND MY CAR WAS JUST AT WARRANTY OF THE THAT 30 MILES FROM WARRANTY AND WANTED THEM TO GIVE AN EXTENSION BECAUSE AS SOON AS THE LIGHT CAME ON I COULD NOT GET TO THE DEALERSHIP. I HAVE A 2016 DODGE JOURNEY AND HAVE LONG COMMUTES. I WAS ABLE TO HAVE A MOBILE MECHANIC DIAGNOSE FOR ME. DODGE WAS UNHELPFUL AND WOULD ONLY TAKE THEIR DEALERSHIPS DIAGNOSTIC. THEN 6 WEEKS LATER IT COMES OUT THAT DODGE 2016 JOURNEYS ARE HAVING CATALYTIC ISSUES BUT MINE WILL NOT ANYTHING MAILED OUT IF AFFECTED UNTIL Q4 OF 2019 AND DODGE IS ALSO TELLING ME AT THIS POINT MY CAR WHICH IS A V4 DODGE 2016 WITH CATALYTIC FAILURE AT THE MILEAGE I TOLD THEM IS NOT PART OF THE RECALL. IT REALLY DOES NOT MAKE SENSE THAT MINE WOULD NOT BE. I ALREADY PAID TO HAVE A MOBILE DIAGNOSE. I HAVE BEEN TREATED HORRIBLY BY 2 OF THERE DEALERSHIPS AND RIPPED OFF WHICH IS WHY I AVOID THEIR DEALERSHIPS LIKE THE PLAGUE. THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. THIS CAR HAS HAD SO MANY EXPENSIVE REPAIRS. ALL RIGHT OUT OF WARRANTY!!! THE CODE P0420 CAME ON AND I NOTIFIED DODGE OF THE PROBLEM IN JAN 23 2019 AND THEN IN MARCH THEY START WITH CAT PROBLEMS. I HAVE ATTACHED THE DODGE CARES MESSAGES AND ALSO THE DODGE CHAT SUPPORT. WITH THE INFORMATION ON 2016 DODGE JOURNEY HAVING CAT ISSUES I ONLY GET THE RUN AROUND FROM THEM AS THIS IS NOT THE FIRST CASE I HAD WITH THEM. I ALSO HAD THE CAMSHAFT RECALL THEY TRIED TO NOT GIVE ME AS WELL. CASE ESCALATIONS HAVE NEVER BEEN HELPFUL AND ALWAYS COME UP WITH A REASON TO FAULT ME NOT THEM. THE CARBON MINOXIDE CAN KILL

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THERE MAY HAVE BEEN A FAILURE WITH THE FUEL PUMP SENDING UNIT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. RICK HENDRICK DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM (1468 SAVANNAH HWY, CHARLESTON, SC 29407, (843) 352-6931) WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V907000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 104,000.
CLOCK SPRING CAUSING ALL LIGHTS AND MENU BUTTONS TO NOT WORK ALONG WITH THE RAIDO CONTROLS ON THE STEERING WHEEL.
MY CAR HAS BEEN MAKING A WEIRD NOISE AND THEY ALWAYS SAY THEY DOT HEAR IT. THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS GO ON AND OFF, LIGHTS , AIR CONDITIONER, FAN, ,VENT, RADIO ETC. I AM NERVOUS ABOUT DRIVING.
INSIDE MIDDLE DOME LIGHT STAYS ON ON SOME OCCASIONS TURNS ITSELF ON EVEN AFTER CAR IS LOCKED. ANOTHER ISSUE THAT JUST STARTED WHILE DRIVING THE CAR OR PREARRANGED MUCH JUST BEING ON IS THE REAR WIPER COMES ON BY ITSELF AND STAYS RUNNIN TILL IT WANTS TO STOP AND WHEN IT DOSE TURN ITSELF OFF THE WIPER BLADE STAYS IN THE MIDDLE POSITION INSTEAD OF GOING DOWN ALL THE WAY.
VEHICLE WHILE DRIVE FINE FOR MANY MILES USUALLY AFTER DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY BUT WHEN I NEED TO MAKE A TURN IT BECOMES DIFFICULT FOR THE VEHICLE TO ACCELERATE AND WILL SUDDENLY JERK FORWARD OR POP. MY CAR WAS RECENTLY SERVICED DUE TO THE DRIVE SHAFT CRACKING IN AN ABNORMAL WAY ACCORDING TO MECHANICS WHICH COSTED $4200 I EXPECTED THE ISSUE TO BE SOLVED AFTER THE REPAIR BUT IT SEEMS TO HAVE GOTTEN WORSE THERE WAS A HUMMING SOUND NOW WHILE TURNING I'M AFRAID THE PROBLEM MAY BE MANUFACTURER RELATED SINCE IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN AFTER THE REPAIR
THE CAR WAS IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET THE FIRST TIME THE ENGINE JUST TURNED OFF THEN WE WHERE ON THE HIGHWAY WITH BIG RIGS BEHIND AND ON SIDES WHEN ENGINE JUST SUDDENLY SHUT OFF IT WAS MY HUSBAND DRIVING THE FIRST TIME ANDWE HAD OUR KIDS IN THE BACK AND A FRIEND ALSO IT WAS A VERY FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE I TOLD MY HUBAND DONT PANIC PUSH THE STARTER BUTTON TO TURN OFF THE CAR BECAUSE U COULDN'T GIVE IT GAS BECAUSE ENGINE WAS OFF BUT CAR STILL ON IN GEAR THEN THANKFULLY THE FIRST TIME WE IT WAS NOT BUSY AT THE TIME WE MY HUSBAND PUSHED THE START BUTTON AND CAR WAS IN OFF MODE AND THEN WAITED A FEW MINUTES BEFORE TURNING CAR BACK ON BY PRESSING THE STARTER BUTTON AND THEN WE PROCEEDED TO ENTER THE HIGHWAY AND ABOUT TWO MILES DOWN YOU FEEL A PULL AND THE ENGINE TURNED OFF AGAIN AT SPEED FROM 75 TO QUICK DECREASE IN SPEED HE VEERED OFF TO THE SHOULDER WITH CARS AND BIG RIGS AROUND US TO THE SHOULDER AND PUSHED THE IGNITION BUTTON TO THE OFF POSITION AND WAITED A FEW MINS PRAYED AND THE CAR STARTED AFTER PUSHING THE IGNITION BUTTON TOOK IT TO THE DEALER THE NEXT DAY AS THAT WAS NIGHT AND IT TOOK A DAY FOR THE DEALERSHIP TO SAY THE CAR WAS FINE IT MIGHT BE..EXACT WORDS THE ENGINE CRANK SHAFT BUT IT WAS WORKING FINE FOR THE TECHS SO IT WAS AT MY CHOICE TO HAVE IT CHANGED OR NOT. IT SEEMED TO BE WORKING FINE. THE ENGINE LIGHT THAT HAD TURNED ON AFTER THE ENGINE SHUT OFF WAS OFF SO I DECIDED IT WAS JUST A GLITCH AND CAR WAS OK. HERE I AM 2 WEEKS LATER AND THE CAR KEEPS DOING THE SAME THIBG ON THE HIGHWAY AND STREET IT IS AWEFUL, I HAVE A ALL POWER TRAIN WARRANTEE AND THE DEALERSHIP SAYS THE ENGINE CRANKSHAFT IS NOT A PART COVERED BY WARRANTEE PLEASE HELP OTHERS NOT GET SERIOUSLY INJURED OR EVEN DIE FROM A CRASH DUE TO THIS NOT TO DETECTABLE DEFECT.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V907000 (ENGINE). THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,000.
WITH LESS THAN 16000 MILES HAVE HAD BATTERY DRAIN DOWN ON 3 OCCASIONS, IN ONE OCCASION LESS THAN 16 HOURS PARKED IN A HEATED GARAGE. CHECK OF BATTERY VOLTAGE WAS 5.6 VOLTS, BATTERY REPLACED ON FIRST OCCASION BY DEALER, BOTH OTHER TIMES, DEALER CHARGED BATTERY AND NO APPARENT CODES TRIPPED. UNABLE TO LOCATE PROBLEM. NO LIGHTS ETC WERE LEFT ON ON EITHER FAILURE, PARKED IN HEATED GARAGE, DRIVEN FOR OVER 30 MILES EACH TIME. SOMETHING IS PUTTING A SEVERE DRAIN ON THE BATTERY IS A SHORT TIME.
TAKATA RECALL FOR A 2016 DODGE JOURNEY. MY DODGE JOURNEY IS EXPERIENCING MULTIPLY ISSUES THAT MAY BE DEEMED AS ELECTRICAL ISSUES. THE FIRST ISSUE IS THE CRUISE CONTROL IS STILL MALFUNCTIONING FROM A PREVIOUS RECALL UNDER RECALL NUMBER 18U49182. WHETHER CRUISE CONTROL IS OFF OR ON THE VEHICLE STILL MAINTAINS IT'S SAME SPEED. THE SECOND ISSUE WITH MY VEHICLE IS ALSO THE VEHICLE CONSTANTLY VEERS OFF THE ROAD. I ALMOST CRASHED ON THE EXPRESSWAY BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE. THIS ISSUE POSE A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE IT CAN CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. THE THIRD ISSUE WITH THIS 2016 DODGE IS THE TIRE PRESSURE SYSTEMS SEEMS TO BE FAULTY. I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING A ISSUE WITH THIS FOR A MONTH NOW. WHEN I PUT AIR INTO THE TIRES ALL OF THE TIRES PRESSURE PSI ARE THE SAME THEN WITHIN FIVE MINUTES ALL THE TIRE PSI ARE DIFFERENT BY SUBSTANTIAL DIGITS. ONE TIRE COULD BE 39 WHEN YOU BEGIN AND FIVE MINUTES LATER IT COULD DISPLAY 34 PSI. THE VEHICLE IS ALWAYS IMBALANCED CAUSING IT TO ROCK.
I BELIEVE THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THE TRANSMISSION PUMP HYDRAULIC PRESSURE FOR MY MODEL VEHICLE. I HAVE A 2016 DODGE JOURNEY ABOUT A MONTH AGO RAN OVER A LARGE RAIN PUDDLE WHILE TURNING IN TO GET SOME GAS. FILLED UP AND AS I'M DRIVING OFF ABS, BRAKE, AND THE SWERVING CAR SIGNAL KEPT COMING ON. MY FUEL GAUGE READER WENT ALL THE WAY DOWN TO EMPTY AND THE SPEEDOMETER WOULD GO UP AND DOWN RANDOM TIMES WHILE DRIVING. COUPLE DAYS LATER WE HAD TOOK IT IN TO GET CHECKED OUT WAS TOLD MY FUEL SENSOR WENT OUT AND NEEDED TO GET A NEW FUEL PUMP BECAUSE THE SENSOR WAS INSIDE OF IT. HAD IT FIXED AFTER WAITING TWO DAYS FROM OUR CAR GUY DROVE IT OFF THE REPAIR SHOP AND NOT EVEN HOURS LATER THE SAME ISSUE. WAS TOLD I HAD WARRANTY ON FUEL PUMP PURCHASED FROM DEALERSHIP AND THEY WOULD REPLACE IT AGAIN. I TOOK IT TO DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD NEEDED A NEW FUEL PUMP AND THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE ME 135 PER ERROR CODE AND THEN WOULD TELL ME WHAT ADDITIONALLY NEEDED TO BE FIXED AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO LEAVE THE CAR FOR UP TO A WEEK. THE CAR WAS JUST PURCHASED IN AUG 2018 AND IT HAS UNDER 54K MILES ON IT. WHILE DRIVING THE CAR AT ANY GIVEN TIME ALL THE LIGHTS CONTINUE TO COME ON. THE CAR STOPPED ON ME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY. IT GAVE OUT ON ME IN THE CENTER HIGHWAY AND I HAD TO WAIT FOR EMERGENCY SERVECES TO ASSIST ME IT TOOK 2 HOURS AND THIS WAS AT 7 AM IN THE MORNING ON 610/10 FREEWAY IN HOUSTON, TX THE CAR HAS GIVEN OUT ON ME TWICE NOW AND IVE REPLACED THE BATTERY TWICE. WE BOUGHT A BRAND NEW 2016 JOURNEY. AFTER TWO YEARS OF OWNING (WITH NO ACCIDENTS OR ISSUES) WE HAD A SITUATION WHERE WE HAD TO SLAM ON THE BRAKES DUE TO THE CAR IN FRONT OF US RANDOMLY SLAMMING ON THEIR BRAKES. MY CHILD WAS IN THE BACK SEAT IN A SEAT BELT AND THE SEAT BELT CAME UNLATCHED, HE ENDED UP HITTING HIS HEAD ON THE BACK OF THE FRONT SEAT. ALTHOUGH THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT, IT COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH WORSE. THIS IS THE SECOND SEAT BELT WE HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH IN THIS CAR. WE CAN CONTINUE TO GET THEM FIXED BUT WHAT IF SOMETHING WORSE HAPPENS AND ANOTHER BELT GOES BAD? THIS IS OUR FAMILIES SAFETY AND THE BELTS CONTINUE TO PROVE TO BE FAULTY ON A CAR WE BROUGHT BRAND NEW.
TIPM RELAY, SOLENOID CIRCUIT, AND TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH PRESSURE CONTROL CIRCUIT HAD AND HAS TO BE REPLACED WHICH ON SEVERAL AUTOMOTIVE FORUMS IS NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT AND A TECHNICIAN AT A REPAIR SHOP AS STATED AS MUCH. WITH IT BEING A CAR A YEAR OLD I FIND THIS TO BE DISTURBING AND THAT CHRYSLER IS NOT STEPPING UP TO THE PLATE AND ORDER RECALLS AS THIS ALSO RESULTS IN POOR GAS MILEAGE. I HAVE HAD TO SPEND $1000 NOT TO MENTION IF WANT ALL RESOLVED ANOTHER $600 ON A PRACTICALLY NEW VEHICLE. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ERRORS IN MANUFACTURING OF VEHICLE.
THE ISSUES STARTED AFTER THE RECALL FOR THE SPEED CONTROL COMPUTER FLASH WAS DONE, ABOUT 2 WEEKS AFTER I NOTICED THAT MY REAR WIPER WOULD ONLY TURN ON WHEN THE CAR WAS IN REVERSE. IF I WOULD PUT THE REAR WIPER SWITCH IN THE ON POSITION NOTHING WOULD HAPPEN. SO IN ORDER TO STOP THE REAR WIPER FROM MOVING WHILE IN REVERSE, I HAVE TO LEAVE THE SWITCH ON THE ON POSITION, MY REAR WIPER ALSO MOVES WHEN I UNLOCK MY CAR.. FOLLOWING THAT MY REVERSE LIGHTS DO NOT COME ON. THEN MY LEFT TAIL GATE LIGHT DOES NOT COME ON WHEN LIGHTS ARE TURNED ON BUT IT DOES COME ON WHEN I UNLOCKED THE CAR. WHEN I OPEN THE REAR HATCH DOOR NONE OF THE INTERIOR LIGHTS TURN ON. SO I AM FORCED TO OPEN ANOTHER DOOR IF I WANT THE LIGHTS TO TURN ON. ALSO WHEN I GO TO REVERSE MY BACK UP CAMERA SCREEN GOES BLACK AND ALSO STARTS TO GLITCH. THIS HAPPENS OCCASIONALLY.
SEVERAL MONTHS AFTER HAVING NEW TIRES PUT ON MY SUV, I NOTICED THE SERVICE AWD, TRACTION CONTROL, AND ABS LIGHTS WERE ON CONTINUOUSLY ON MY PANEL WHEN IN MOTION AND UPON LEARNING THE IGNITION BUTTON. SOMETIMES THEY'D GO OFF EITHER MOVING OR STATIONARY BUT THEN AS 2 MONTHS PASSED, THEY'D REMAIN ON AT ALL TIMES. I WASN'T ABLE TO ENGAGE CRUISE CONTROL WHEN THOSE LIGHTS WERE ON. I HAD 2 NEAR ACCIDENTS FROM NEARLY HITTING 2 LARGE DEER. I HIT MY BRAKES AND MY TIRES DID BUT WASN'T TO GRIP THE ROAD AND JUST FELT LIKE THEY WERE ON ICE (IN SUMMER) . WHEN THEY WOULD GRIP THEY MADE A LOUD NOISE AND THEN I WAS ABLE TO STOP BUT NOT WITHOUT SMELLING BURNT RUBBER. I HAVE HEARD FROM A FRIEND OF MINE THAT IS A MECHANIC THAT HE HAD A FEELING IT WAS MY ABS SENSOR BUT DIDNT HAVE ACCESS TO A DODGE DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM AS HE WORKS FOR A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP. IVE HEARD FROM DIFFERENT PEOPLE THAT THIS HAS BEEN A "COMMON" PROBLEM RECENTLY WITH JOURNEYS. I PAID 97 DOLLARS FOR A DIAGNOSTIC FORMA NON-DEALER GARAGE AND THEY CONFIRMED IT WAS MY RIGHT FRONT ABS SENSOR AND IT WAS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT. I CALLED THE DODGE DEALERSHIP AND I WAS NOT INFORMED WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN THERE FOR THE RECALL THAT IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY. I BROUGHT MY SUV IN AND THE ADVISOR DIDN'T BELIEVE IT WAS MY SENSOR UNTIL IT WAS REPLACED. I WAS INFORMED THAT THE JOURNEYS HAVE BEEN COMING IN BY THE DOZEN OVER THIS ISSUE AND ALL OVER THE U.S. THAT WAS THE ONLY SENSOR CHECKED AND REPLACED AND MY WARRANTY IS ABOUT DONE. PLEASE INVESTIGATE HAVE 3 KIDS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS AND I DON'T WANT ACCIDENTS FOR ANYONE OVER THIS ISSUE. MY KIDS NEARLY LOST ME LAST YEAR IN A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT. MY VEHICLE WAS SERVICED OCT. 2018
WHILE DRIVING ON COUNTY ROAD I CAME TO SHARP CURVE WITH AN INCLINE. AS I ENTERED THE CURVE THE POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING, BRAKES WERE VERY HARD TO DEPRESS AND THE VEHICLE CAME TO A STOP AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE, THE ENGINE WAS STILL RUNNING. I WAS ABLE TO SHUT OFF THE VEHICLE AND TURN IT BACK ON AND IT WORKED AS NORMAL.

AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE CRANKSHAFT SENSOR (DTC) WAS A POTENTIAL CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 58,000.
