TAKATA RECALL. MY VEHICLE BRAKES HAS A PAUSE BETWEEN THEM. WHEN I AM COMING TO A STOP IT TAKE A WHILE TO BREAK. THE BREAKS ARE NOT CONSISTENT THIS IS VERY SCARY, I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY YESTERDAY AND THE BREAKS TOOK A WHILE TO ACTUALLY START BREAKING. THESE BREAKS ARE NOT RIGHT. I WAS TOLD AFTER 500 MILES THE CAR WOULD BREAK IN AND DRIVE BETTER. BUT STILL DRIVING THE SAME. VERY DANGEROUS FOR MYSELF AND MY FAMILY.
WAS RAINING AND WHEN I WENT TO BREAK IT'S LIKE THERE WAS A LITTLE BIT A BREAK FAILURE LIKE IT DID NOT WANT TO STOP THE VEHICLE AND I ENDED UP SKIDINGBEFORE THE VEHICLE CAME TO A STOP BUT DID NOT HIT ANYTHING SO IT'S LIKE IT IT DID NOT WANT TO GRIP THE PAVEMENT OR STOP UNTIL IT ACTUALLY GRIPPED
DOOR LOCKS WILL NOT STAY LOCK DOORS WILL UNLOCK WHEN WET WHEN YOU WASH CAR YOU GET WATER ON DOORS CAR LOCK AND UNLOCK UNCONTROLLABLY AND IN CAR WASH AND WHEN IT RAINS DOORS UNLOCK THEM SELF'S , DEALER CAN NOT FIX PROBLEM WENT THERE 6 TIMES.
SOME DAYS MY BRAKE PEDAL FEELS MORE FIRM AND WILL STOP ON A DIME THAN OTHERS TIMES IT FEELS SPONGY OR SOFT AND GOES TO THE FLOOR IT DOES STOP THE VEHICLE BUT WHEN IT'S SPONGY IT TAKES LONGER ALMOST AS IF I'M DRIVING A FREIGHT TRAIN AT 60 MILES AN HOUR HIGHWAY IN OR IN TOWN DRIVING AS OF TODAY I DON'T HAVE ANY OTHER COMPLAINTS OTHER THAN THE BRAKES
I THOUGHT THIS VEHICLE CAME WITH A BACK UP CAMERA? I THOUGH IT WAS MANDATORY THAT ALL VEHICLES SOLD AFTER MAY 2018 WILL HAVE A BACK UP CAMERA INSTALLED.
THE VEHICLE HAS DIFFICULTY GOING UP HILL. WHEN DECREASE SPEED OR STOPS AND YOU WANT TO STEP UP THE GAS, IT TAKES A LONG WHILE. SOMETIME IT SHAKES WHEN YOU POWER ON. THE COMPUTER FREEZES. LOTS OF HESITATION TO GO OR SOMETIMES IT WAS TO KEEP GOING WHEN YOU ARE AT A STOP.
PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE 7/13/2018 AND IT IS NOT EQUIPPED WITH A BACKUP CAMERA. DODGE IS ALSO ADVERTISING THAT THIS IS STANDARD EQUIPMENT ON THE VEHICLE. THEY ALSO DID NOT DISCLOSE THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT EQUIPPED. AS FAR AS I KNOW ALL VEHICLES ARE TO BE EQUIPPED BY MAY 1, 2018. THIS WAS PURCHASED FROM PEACOCK IN BRUNSWICK, GA
WHEN CRUISING DOWN THE ROAD IT FEELS AS IF THE CAR DROPS OUT OF GEAR MOMENTARILY THEN SLAMS BACK INTO GEAR. THIS IS A SPECIFIC PROBLEM BUT IT COULD BE DEADLY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 DODGE JOURNEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE ABRUPTLY SHOOK AND VIBRATED AT START-UP WITH THE TRACTION CONTROL WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING UPON DEPRESSION THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THE CONTACT SPOKE TO LANDMARK DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM (6850 MT ZION BLVD, MORROW, GA 30260) WHERE THEY INFORMED HIM TO TOW THE VEHICLE TO DEALER TO HAVE THE VEHICLE INSPECTED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD YET TO BE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD YET TO BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5.
AFTER PCM AND ECM RECALL REPAIR, BLUETOOTH SYSTEM WOULD NOT CONNECT, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON, TOUCH SCREEN RADIO MALFUNCTIONING WHILE DRIVING, ECO COLOR DRIVEING TRACKER NOLONGER WORKED, THE ELECTRONIC GAS MILES WAS INCORRECT (EXP: AFTER PUTING GAS IN MILES SHOWED 115 UNTIL EMPTY, DRIVE 7 MILES THE CAR WOULD SHOW 70 MILES TO EMPTY) BOTH WOULD MALFUNCTION WHILE DRIVING HIGHWAY AND CITY. VEHICLE WOULD NOW SHAKE WHEN IDLING AND WAS HESITATE TO START. VEHICLE HAS BEEN AT DEALERSHIP REPAIR SHOP FOR 7 DAYS FOR SECOND REPAIR.
ON 6/4/2018 I PICKED UP MY VEHICLE FROM THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AFTER TAKING IT IN FOR THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS BEING ON AND LOSS OF POWER. THE DEALERSHIP ADVISED THEY DID AN UPDATE ON THE POWER CONTROL MODEL AND FIXED A WHEEL SPEED SENSOR. WHILE ON THE FREEWAY ABOUT 9 MILES AWAY FROM THE DEALERSHIP THE LIGHTS (ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL) CAME BACK ON AND THE RPMS WENT UP. THE VEHICLE WAS IN CRUISE CONTROL AND THE VEHICLE HAD A 5MPH LOSS IN SPEED BUT WENT BACK UP TO 65MPH WITH THE RAISE IN RPMS. WHILE GOING TO EXIT THE FREEWAY AND APPLYING THE BRAKES THE CRUISE CONTROL WOULD NOT DISENGAGE. I IMMEDIATELY PLACED THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL AND TURNED THE ENGINE OFF AND PULLED TO THE RIGHT HAND SHOULDE ALLOWING THE VEHICLE TO COAST TO A STOP.. AFTER PULLED OVER I APPLIED THE BRAKE AND PLACED THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND TURNED THE VEHICLE BACK ON. THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS REMAINED ILLUMINATED. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS ADVISED TO BRING THE VEHICLE BACK AND I ADVISED I WOULD BRING IT BACK IN THE MORNING AND WOULD NOT USE THE CRUISE CONTROL. THIS IS NOW THE SECOND TIME THE VEHICLE WILL BE GOING TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE SAME ISSUES WHICH INCLUDE THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS BEING ILLUMINATED WITH THE TRACTION CONTROL AND ABS NOT WORKING, LOSS OF POWER AND HIGH RPMS AND BLUETOOTH NOT WORKING (NOT A MAJOR CONCERN). THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THE CRUISE CONTROL HAS FAILED TO DISENGAGE AND ONLY MY FOURTH TIME USING CRUISE CONTROL AS IT IS A NEW VEHICLE AND I DON'T USE IT MUCH ON THE FREEWAY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 DODGE JOURNEY. WHILE DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE WOULD SKID BEFORE STOPPING, WHICH EXTENDED THE BRAKING DISTANCE. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE LOCAL DEALER (TROTTER AUTO EL DORADO, 1910 W. HILLSBORO ST, EL DORADO, AR) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200.
When you are in the vehicle and the vehicle is off or on when you try to lock it to be safe because the keys are in the vehicle it automatically unlocks. I feel very unsafe as I am a single mom of 3. I will get in the vehicle and lock the doors. It will automatically unlock. If I was in an emergency situation where I needed to lock the doors for my safety it would just unlock.
I HAVE HAD TO BRING MY DODGE IN TO THE DEALER AT LEAST 7 TIMES SINCE I GOT IT BRAND NEW. I HAD STEERING ISSUES, BRAKE ISSUES, THE PASSENGER BACK DOOR WOULD NOT CLOSE. NOW THE CAR WILL "STALL" AT TIMES WHEN CAR IS IN MOTION AND I GO TO ACCELERATE. I HAVE NOT BROUGHT THE CAR IN FOR THIS ISSUE YET .
The backup camera displays upside down. Talking to other Dodge owners this seems to be a common problem. I Seema to me this is a defect that has the potential to be a safety hazard because it gives a distorted review
