THE WATER PUMP IS LOCATED INSIDE THE ENGINE FAILED WITHOUT WARNING, IT CIRCULATED ANTI-FREEZE THROUGH THE ENGINE DISTROYING IT. THIS HAPPENED WITHIN THE SPAN OF 5 MINUTES WITH NO SYMPTOMS, OTHER THAN A LOSS OF ALL ENGINE POWER AT HIWAY SPEED. NO WARNING OR ENGINE LIGHTS CAME ON. FRANKLY OTHER THAN THE LOSS OF ENGINE POWER THERE WERE NO INDICATIONS THE ENGINE HAD FAILED. THERE WAS A TERRIBLE NOISE AS I FOUND MY WAY TO A SAFE SPOT TO STOP THE CAR AND IT WAS ONLY DURING THIS TIME THAT THE TEMPRATURE IN THE ENGINE STARTED TO RISE. I BELIEVE THIS IS THE MOST BASIC KIND OF IRRESPONSIBILITY WHERE AS FORD HAS DESIGNED A VEHICLE WITH A KNOW DEFECT AND FAILED TO NOTIFY ITS UNSUSPECTING OWNERS. IT IS ALSO MY BELIEF THAT FORD SHOULD BE RESPOSIBLE FOR PAY 100% OF ANY AND ALL REPAIRS TO MAKE AN OWNER WHOLE. AT THIS POINT I HAVE NO PICTURES, OTHER THAN AN ENGINE THAT LOOKS FULLY INTACT, WITH AN OIL DIPSTICK THAT IS A MILKY DESERT SAND COLOR.

'POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT' POWER STEERING ACCESS FAULT CODE DISPLAYS ON GAUGE CLUSTER AND STEERING WHEEL HAS NO POWER STEERING. VERY DIFFICULT TO DRIVE AND DANGEROUS. A RECALL FOR 2011 AND UP TAURUS WAS ISSUED BUT NOT THE 2010 WHICH HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. THE CAR IS NOT DERIVABLE AND NOT SAFE TO DRIVE THIS WAY. THIS HAPPENS ON START UP AND STAYS THIS WAY IN EVERY GEAR, NO POWER STEERING AVAILABLE.THE FORD TAURUS SHO 2010 MODEL HAS THE EXACT SAME PART FOR THE STEERING AS THE 2011-2015 MODEL THAT WAS RECALLED. FORD DID NOT INCLUDE THIS MODEL WITH THE RECALL AND IT SUFFERS THE SAME PROBLEM, SUDDEN LOSS OF STEERING WITH NO WARNING. MY CAR LOST STEERING WHEN DRIVING BUT DID NOT CAUSE ME TO WRECK. THIS CAR SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD EDGE. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE AS IF A GUN WERE FIRED. THE CONTACT STOPPED THE VEHICLE TO CHECK, BUT DID NOT NOTICE ANYTHING. THE CONTACT RESUMED DRIVING AND STILL HEARD UNUSUAL NOISES. SHE STOPPED AND EXITED THE VEHICLE AGAIN TO FIND THAT THE SUN ROOF HAD FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A COLLISION CENTER AND THE SUN ROOF WAS REPLACED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DISCLOSED. SUNSET FORD (6616 166TH AVE E, SUMNER, WA 98390, (253) 863-2211) WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 99,800.
2010 FORD EDGE AWD TRANSFER CASE JUST FAILED 01/30/19 APPROX. 85,000 MILES. WE HAVE HAD ALL OIL SERVICE DONE AT FORD DEALER. THEY ADVERTISE THEY CHECK AND TOP OFF ALL FLUIDS I GUESS THEY MISSED A FEW. WE JUST HAD IT TO THE DEALER PRIOR TO OUR WARRANTY ENDING IN NOVEMBER 2018 FOR ENGINE OIL LEAK AND OTHER ITEMS TO BE REPAIRED. IF THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM THAT FORD HAS BEEN AWARE OF WHY WEREN'T THE DEALERS AT LEAST NOTIFIED TO INSPECT AND CHECK THE FLUID IN TRANSFER CASE. IS FORD GOING TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM OR LIKE EVERYONE ELSE AND MYSELF I WILL BE STUCK WITH A REPAIR BILL OF $2500.00 - $3500.00 THIS IS NOT WRIGHT FORD HAS KNOWN ABOUT THIS FOR QUITE SOME TIME.

THEY COMPLETED ONE RECALL ON MY GAS TANK AND STATED THEY'D CALL ME WHEN THE AIR BAG PART WAS RECEIVED. I CONTACTED THEM BY PHONE MANY TIMES BUT WAS TOLD THE PART ISN'T IN YET. THE SEAT FIRST STARTED ROCKING A BIT. THEN THIS EVENING I GET IN THE VEHICLE AND IT SINKS TO THE FLOOR AND SOUNDS LIKE IT HAS STRIPPED GEARS. IT HAS A POWER SEAT AND IT WILL NOT MOVE IT
TOOK CAR IN JUST TO HAVE TIRES CHANGED AND AFTER I LEFT VEHICLE SMELLED LIKE SOMETHING WAS BURNING AS WELL AS A HOWLING NOISE WHEN I WENT UP THE HIGHWAY. ON TOP OF ALL THIS IT HAD A DRAG WHICH DAILY HAD GOTTEN WORSE. BROUGHT CAR BACK TO WHERE I HAD THE TIRES PUT ON AND THEY SAID THINGS DO GO WHEN YOU PUT SOMETHING NEW ON CAR. THEY CHECK THE CAR AND SAID I NEED INNER AND OUTER TIE RODS. THEY DO THE WORK, NEVER TEST DROVE THE CAR AND I LEAVE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. I BRING IT BACK IMMEDIATELY AND NOW THEY SAY, "YOUR TRANNY IS WHINING SO TAKE IT TO A TRANSMISSION PLACE. MAYBE YOUR PUMP ISN'T WORKING IN TRANNY." I TAKE IT TO A TRANSMISSION PLACE AND THEY DIAGNOSE IT. THE POWER TRANSFER CASE IS SHOT!! CAN'T EVEN FIX IT, GEARS ARE ALL BURNT OUT ETC, NEEDS A NEW ONE TO THE TUNE OF $1900.00. THIS CAR JUST TURNED 70,000 MILES. I WENT ON COMPUTER AND COULDN'T BELIEVE THE INFO I GOT AS FAR AS THIS HAPPENING TO SO MANY PPL. SAME MAKE AND MODEL, SOME ONLY HAD 50,000 MILES ON THEIR CAR. UNBELIEVABLE, NO RECALL, AND FORD HAS KNOWN ABOUT THIS PROBLEM FOR AT LEAST 8 YRS.? THEY INSTALLED THIS CASE RIGHT NEXT TO EXHAUST WHICH GETS HOT AND EVAPORATES THE FLUID IN THIS CASE. FLUID THAT IS SUPPOSE TO BE FOREVER FOR THE LIFE OF THE CAR. NO PLUG IN THESE BOXES SO NO ONE...EVEN YOUR MECHANIC WOULDN'T BE CHECKING IT'S FLUID. ALL THESE COMPLAINTS, FORD KNOWS ABOUT THIS ISSUE BECAUSE THEY HAVE SINCE CHANGE THE POWER TRANSFER CASES AND EVERYONE WITH THESE VEHICLES ARE STUCK WITH AN OUTRAGEOUS BILL!!! WE NEED A CLASS ACTION SUIT STARTED OVER THIS WHICH I'LL BE CHECKING INTO. SHAME ON YOU FORD. I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE BECAUSE IT WAS NAMED ONE OF THE SAFEST TO DRIVE BUT I'LL TELL YA, NO MORE FORDS FOR ME!!!
FRONT BRAKES HISS AND MAKE SINGING SQUEAL...DO NOT DEPRESS FULLY THEN GO ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. ALMOST HIT 5 CARS BUT EACH TIME STEERED OFF RIGHT AND ENDED UP MID INTERSECTION ON A RED LIGHT. HEARD IT IS A POWER BOOSTER ISSUE. ALSO AIR BAGS WERE RECALLED. DEALER SAYS NO.

I HAD THIS CAR IN A FORD GARAGE BACK IN JANUARTY I HAD TO SPEND OVER $2000.00 BECAUSE ONE OF THE ENGINE COILS BURNED UP AND DAMAGED THE COMPUTER FOR THE ENGINE. I WAS TOLD THE OTHERS SHOULD BE REPLACED ALSO, BUT COULD NOT FIX IT BECAUSE OF NO MONEY. AND ALSO THE BRAKES, ROTORS CALIPERS ON FRONT OF THIS CAR ARE A MESS. I HAD TO REPLACE EVERY BIT OF IT ALSO. THIS CARS SUCKS I HATE IT BUT /
I WENT INTO AUBURN FORD OVER A YEAR AGO AND INQUIRED ABOUT THE AIRBAG RECALL. THE SERVICE MANAGER INFORMED ME THAT NONE WERE AVAILABLE AND THEN ATTEMPTED TO CONVINCE ME IT WASN'T NECESSARY. IN JUNE 2018, I RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER TELLING ME THAT AS THE PARTS COME IN DURING THE SECOND AND THIRD QUARTER OF THIS YEAR, I WILL BE CONTACTED FOR MY AIRBAG REPLACEMENT. THE LETTER EVEN OFFERED A FREE RENTAL CAR IF I WAS UNCOMFORTABLE DRIVING MY CURRENT CAR. ON JUNE 12, I REQUESTED A CAR AND WAS TOLD NO CAR WAS AVAILABLE AND I WOULD BE CALLED WHEN ONE BECAME AVAILABLE. I NEVER RECEIVED THE CALL. NOW IT IS ALMOST 2019, SO I CONTACTED AUBURN FORD AGAIN ONLY TO LEARN THAT STILL NO AIRBAGS WERE AVAILABLE FOR MY CAR. FORD HAS RENEGED ON IT'S RESPONSIBILITY TO PROVIDE ME WITH SAFE TRANSPORTATION BY FAILING TO INSTALL NEW AIRBAGS OR PROVIDE ME WITH A RENTAL VEHICLE. FORD HAS IGNORED THE PROBLEM BY REFUSING TO ADDRESS IT; THUS JEOPARDIZING THE SAFETY OF THE OCCUPANTS IN MY CAR.

TAKATA RECALL I AM STILL TRYING TO GET THIS AIRBAG REPLACED. FORD DOES NOT HAVE PARTS. THEY SENT ME A LETTER STATING I COULD GET A FREE RENTAL CAR, BUT I CAN'T GET ANY DEALERS CLOSE TO ME TO PROVIDE ME A CAR. THEY SAY THERE IS A RENTAL CAR LIST AND I HAVE BEEN ON THAT LIST NOW FOR OVER 6 MONTHS. TIRED OF WAITING FOR THIS TO BE RESOLVED.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.

THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL REGARDING THE FAILURE OR THE 150,000 MILE EXTENDED WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE CURRENTLY HAD 109,000 MILES. THE DEALER REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE MANUFACTURER WHO STATED THE SAME THING AS THE DEALER. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO NHTSA. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT HE WAS NOTIFIED OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V046000 (AIR BAGS), WHICH WAS UNRELATED TO THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 104,000.
TAKATA RECALL - WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR OUR RECALLED AIRBAGS TO BE REPLACED. WE ARE AFRAID TO DRIVE OUR CAR IF WE GET IN AN ACCIDENT AS WE HAVE A SMALL CHILD PLUS THE TWO OF US WHO COULD GET HURT. WE DON'T KNOW HOW TO SOLVE THIS WITHOUT JUST SELLING THIS CAR AND BUYING A NEW ONE. PLEASE ADVISE.

TAKATA RECALL - IT HAS BEEN OVER TWO YEARS SINCE THIS RECALL AND WE ARE STILL WAITING. THIS VEHICLE IS USED BY AN 83 YEAR OLD WOMAN AND SHE WOULD REALLY LIKE THIS AIRBAG TO BE FIXED. WHEN I TOLD THEM MY WIFE IS AFRAID TO RIDE IN THE CAR, THE RESPONSE WAS TO RIDE IN THE BACK SEAT. GOOD SUGGESTION, BUT A BAD ANSWER TO OUR SAFETY CONCERNS. WHEN WILL THEY GET THE APPROVALS THEY NEED TO FIX A PROBLEM REPORTED OVER 10 MONTHS AGO?

REAR TURN SIGNAL LAMP AND SOCKET MELTED AND BURNT. HAPPENED TO RIGHT SIDE THEN SOON AFTER LEFT SIDE. REPLACEMENT IS SHOWING SIGNS OF MELTING ALREADY. THIS APPEARS TO BE A SAFETY ISSUE WHERE A FIRE COULD HAPPEN. I HAVE SEEN MANY COMPLAINTS ON AUTO FORUMS FOR THE SAME PROBLEM ON OTHER MODELS AND YEAR.
TAKATA RECALL I FIRST RECEIVED A LETTER OF RECALL VIA A LETTER FROM FORD MOTOR COMPANY IN JULY 2016. RECALL NOTICE 16S26 / NHTSA RECALL 16V-384 STATING THE PROBLEM WITH THE FRONT AIRBAG, AND THAT FORD WILL SEND A LETTER WHEN PARTS ARE AVAILABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THE NEXT COMMUNICATION I HAD FROM FORD WAS A LETTER IN JUNE 2018 STATING THAT PARTS SHOULD BECOME AVAILABLE IN THE SECOND OR THIRD QUARTER OF 2018. AS OF TODAY, OCTOBER 26, 2018, THERE IS STILL NO REMEDY OFFERED FOR THE AIRBAG PROBLEM. I BELIEVE AMPLE TIME HAS PASSED FOR FORD TO GET THE PARTS AND REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS. PLEASE USE WHATEVER INFLUENCE YOUR AGENCY HAS TO EXPEDITE THIS SITUATION. THANK YOU.

MY TIRES HAVE BEEN SLOWLY LOSING AIR FOR A WHILE. GOT NEW TIRES. STILL LOSING AIR MORE FREQUENTLY. NOW I FILL TIRES AT EVERY GAS FULL UP. FOUND A CRACK IN THE RIM. NOW ANOTHER RIM HAS A CRACK. THE RIMS ARE ALUMINUM 20", 7 SPLIT SPOKE, 5 BOLT RIMS. MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ON LINE TOO. SEEMS WAY TO EARLY IN A CAR'S LIFE TO HAVE THIS HAPPEN. I WILL BE ORDERING ANOTHER NEW REPLACEMENT RIM. AFTER NOTICING SOMETHING TERRIBLY WRONG WITH MY BRAKES, BRAKES WERE HARD TO PUSH AND WAS TAKING LONGER TO STOP. I TOOK CAR INTO SHOP AND WAS TOLD IT WAS THE POWER BRAKE BOOSTER AND THAT FORD HAD ISSUED A RECALL ON IT. I THEN TOOK IT TO A FORD DEALER WHERE THEY CHARGED ME $62 TO TELL ME THAT MY CAR WASN'T COVERED. IF FORD KNOWS THERE'S A DEFECT IN THE BOOSTERS THEN WHY WON'T THEY FIX THE PROBLEM?

The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who stated that the vehicle was working as designed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who informed her that the failure was due to the brake booster. The manufacturer was contacted, who informed her there was no warranty coverage. "TAKATA RECALL" SINCE THE BEGINNING OF 2018 I HAVE RECEIVED 2 LETTERS FROM FORD CONCERNING THE AIR BAG RECALL. THE SECOND LETTER SAID THAT THE PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE IN THE THIRD QUARTER OF THE YEAR. I SPOKE TO AMERICAN FORD OF OLD BRIDGE NJ BOTH THROUGH THEIR CHAT ROOM WHO TOLD ME THEY WOULD GET BACK TO ME, WHICH THEY DID NOT, AND I ALSO LEFT A WRITTEN MASSAGE TO THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT, AGAIN NO CALL BACK. I WAITED A FEW DAYS AND CALLED THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT. TWO DAYS LATER A REPRESENTATIVE DID CALL ME BACK. I EXPLAINED MY CONCERN AND TOLD HER OF THE LETTERS FROM FORD SAYING THE PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE IN THE THIRD QUARTER OF 2018; AS IT IS NOW THE FOURTH QUARTER, SHE EXPLAINED THAT THEY MUST WAIT FOR THE PARTS TO ARRIVE AND THAT I WOULD BE NOTIFIED WHEN THEY ARE AVAILABLE. SHE HAD NO IDEA WHEN THIS MAY HAPPEN. WHAT'S MY RECOURSE???

TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON. CAR BREAKING WHILE I'M DRIVING. ALMOST CAUSED ME TO RUN OFF THE ROAD. LOUD GRINDING NOSE COMING FROM BRAKES. HISSING AIR SOUND WHEN PRESSING BRAKES. PEDAL SOFT AND SPONGY AND GOES DOWN TO FLOOR BOARD. SPONTANEOUS CAR BREAKING HAPPENING MORE FREQUENTLY EX: TURNING STOPPING OUT WHILE IN MOTION. BRAKE BOOSTER IS FAULTY. I'M HAVE A LOAN ON THIS CAR AND PAY EVERY MONTH BUT SCARED FOR THE SAFETY OF MYSELF, MY SON, AND OTHER PASSENGERS ON THE ROAD BY TO DRIVE MY CAR. FORD SHOULD FIX THIS. I HAVE CALLED THE ALBANY, GEORGIA FORD DEALERSHIP AND THEY STILL DO NOT HAVE ANY PARTS. WE HAVE BEEN WAITING OVER A YEAR. WE ALSO TRIED TO GET A CAR TO REPLACE THE EDGE UNTIL THE PARTS CAME IN AND THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT HELP US. MY DAUGHTER ATTENDS THE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA SO WE TRIED THE ATHENS, GEORGIA FORD DEALERSHIP AND GOT NO RESPONSE. MY DAUGHTER DID HAVE A FRONT END COLLISON SEVERAL YEARS AGO AND THE AIRBAGS NEVER DEPLOYED.
WHILE IN MOTION ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS TURNED ON AND A WARNING BEEP WOULD GO OFF. IT DID THIS FOR 2 DAYS, TOOK IT TO GET CHECKED THEY TOLD ME A NEEDED A NEW BATTERY. BOUGH THE BATTERY AND I STILL HAD SAME ISSUE. NOW THE CAR WON'T START AND THE FORD RETAILER WANTS $125 JUST TO DIAGNOSE THE CAR.
