2010 EDGE BOUGHT NEW. POWER DRIVER SEAT STARTED ROCKING AND WAS GETTING WORSE WHEN I TOOK IT TO DEALERSHIP WHERE I BOUGHT IT AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE WERE TWO RIVETS THAT WERE BAD. I WAS TOLD THAT AT SOME POINT THEY WOULD FAIL AND IT WOULD BE A SAFETY ISSUE SO I HAD IT REPAIRED FOR $1084. TURNS OUT IT IS A KNOWN PROBLEM. I'VE BEEN BUYING FORDS SINCE 1994 BUT I'M FEELING KINDA STUPID NOW.
TAKATA RECALL. I WAS NOTIFIED IN MAY 2018 THAT FORD WOULD NOTIFY ME WHEN THE PARTS WERE AVAILABLE TO FIX MY CAR. I HAVE YET TO HEAR FROM THEM. I DRIVE HIGHWAYS AND AM WORRIED ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. HONDA FIXED MY OTHER CAR RIGHT AWAY.

A LETTER REGARDING NOBODY HAS TO SEAT ON THE FRONT PASSENGER BECAUSE OF THE AIRBAG BUT HOW LONG STILL- ITS BEEN YEARS? WE WENT TO PRIVATE COMPANY FOR THE AIRCONDITION TO BE REPLACED SINCE KENGRODY FORD MAINTENANCE HAS NOT DONE US GOOD NOT ONLY EXPENSIVE BUT DID NOT WORK AFTER THE MAINTENANCE. THIS CAR IS NOT A GREAT CAR ALTHOUGH ITS ALREADY BEEN SERVICE A LOT OF TIMES. THANK YOU.

THE CONTACT RECEIVED THE RECALL NOTIFICATION IN MAY OF 2018. THE DEALER (KENNY VICE FORD, 120 S WASHINGTON ST, LADOGA, IN 47954) ADVISED THE CONTACT TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN FOR REPAIR. THE CONTACT WAS PROVIDED A LOANER VEHICLE FOR THREE MONTHS. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. AFTER THE CONTACT RETRIEVED THE VEHICLE, IT BEGAN MAKING ABNORMAL NOISES. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO ANDY MOHR FORD (2713 E MAIN ST, PLAINFIELD, IN 46168) WHO STATED THAT THE RECALL REPAIR HAD NOT BEEN PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE WAS STILL AT ANDY MOHR FORD AWAITING THE REPLACEMENT AIR BAGS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL, I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR MONTHS TO HAVE THIS REMEDIED AND NO ONE CAN SEEM TO GET THE PARTS FOR THIS, AND NONE HAS RENTALS, SO I AM STILL DRIVING MY VEHICLE.
ON OCTOBER 25, 2018 I PUT MY VEHICLE IN REVERSE WHEN IT SUDDENLY ACCELERATED AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. IT HIT THE CURB AND CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE INTO ANOTHER PARKED VEHICLE WHICH CAUSE THAT VEHICLE TO HIT A BUILDING AND THEN MY VEHICLE CONTINUED IN REVERSE AND HIT ANOTHER CAR AND THEN CONTINUED UNTIL MY VEHICLE HIT A GMC TRUCK WHICH FINALLY STOPPED MY VEHICLE. DURING THIS ENTIRE EPISODE, I WAS UNABLE TO GET CONTROL OF MY VEHICLE AT NO POINT WAS I ABLE TO USE MY BRAKES AS THEY DID NOT RESPOND. ALF THIS OCCURRED IN A SMALL COMMERCIAL PARKING LOT AND ALL VEHICLES INVOLVED WERE STATIONARY EXCEPT MINE.
THE TRACTION CONTROL AN ABS LIGHT COMES ON FOR NO REASON AN WILL NOT GO OFF AN HAVE BEEN TOLD THIS HAS BEEN HAPPING WITH THESE CARS

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 111,000.

THE CONTACT RECENTLY RECEIVED A POSTCARD FROM TK HOLDINGS, ALERTING HER THAT THE AIR BAG MANUFACTURER HAD FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
BRAKE PEDAL IS SOFT, SOMETIMES GOES ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND MAKES A HISSING SOUND. SOME BREAK FUNCTION IS LOST. WE HAD NEW BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS, AND THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. OUR MECHANIC TELLS US THAT IT IS THE BRAKE BOOSTER. SAFETY IS NOW A GREAT CONCERN AS IT IS NOW COMPROMISED. OCCURS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION, REGARDLESS OF LOCATION ON CITY STREET, HIGHWAY, OR TURNING.

TAKATA RECALL - HAVE TRIED TO SCHEDULE THIS RECALL SEVERAL TIMES AT TOM PECK FORD IN CLINTON, WI. THEY SAY THEY WILL CALL WHEN PARTS ARE RECEIVED. WE HAVE NOT HEARD BACK ANYTHING FOR MONTHS. WORRIED CAR AIRBAGS WILL EXPLODE.
TAKATA RECALL - IT'S BEEN OVER A YEAR SINCE I WAS FIRST NOTIFIED OF THIS RISK AND FORD HAS NOT TAKEN ANY ACTION OR NOTIFIED ME. TO PUT THIS IN TO PERSPECTIVE, THE US MILITARY MOVED TENS OF THOUSANDS OF TROOPS AND EQUIPMENT HALF WAY AROUND THE WORLD TO IRAQ AND DEFEATED THE WORLDS 5TH LARGEST ARMY IN LESS TIME THAN FORD HAS BEEN WORKING ON THIS RECALL. TIME IS UP. I NEED A NEW AIRBAG SYSTEM BEFORE I GET IN TO AN ACCIDENT NOT AFTERWARDS.
BRAKE BOOSTER. I HAVE A 2010 EDGE THAT HAD A RECALL ON THE BRAKE BOOSTER. THE FORD WEBSITE LISTED THE RECALL FOR 2010-2013 BUT FOR SOME REASON MY VEHICLE WASN'T PART OF THE RECALL AND I NEED TO KNOW WHY ESPECIALLY WHEN IT STATES THAT FSA VIN LIST WILL NOT BE ACTIVATED FOR THE SERVICE ACTION. THIS WAS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION I WAS PUT IN AND I'M BEING TOLD THAT THE RECALL IS NOT ON MY VIN. MY BRAKES MADE A "HISSING" SOUND WHEN PRESSED AND TO GET THE CAR TO STOP I HAD TO PRESS VERY HARD WITH BOTH FEET. AND THIS DIDN'T HAPPEN OVER TIME. WITHIN A WEEK MY CAR WENT FROM BRAKING NORMALLY TO HAVING TO FIGHT TO STOP MY CAR.
TAKATA RECALL THIS RECALL HAS BEEN UNDERWAY FOR SEVERAL YEARS. TO DATE FORD HAS NOT PROVIDED A REPAIR FOR MY AIRBAG. I LIVE IN HOT HUMID AREA OF THE COUNTRY. SPECIFICALLY HOUSTON, TX NHTSA STATES HOT HUMID AREAS ARE MOST DANGEROUS FOR THESE AIRBAGS TO BECOME UNSTABLE. I AM WONDERING WHY THERE IS NOT AVAILABLE FIX FOR THIS DANGEROUS PRODUCT. I CANNOT AFFORD TO REPLACE MY VEHICLE. I MUST DRIVE IT TO EARN A LIVING. IT IS CAUSING TREMENDOUS STRESS AND ANXIETY ON A DAILY BASIS I FEAR HAVING AND ACCIDENT AND BEING HORRIBLY INJURED OR KILLED BY THE AIRBAG.

I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR EVEN THOUGH I HAVE BEEN DRIVING IT SINCE 2010 UNTIL FEBRUARY OF THIS YEAR. I AM JUST THANKFUL I HAVEN'T HAD AN ACCIDENT WHICH WOULD HAVE CAUSED THE AIRBAGS TO DEPLOY. WHY DID IT TAKE THEM THIS LONG TO REALIZE THERE WAS A PROBLEM?

TAKATA RECALL: I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET MY AIRBAGS REPLACED SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THIS RECALL. I DID RECEIVE A LETTER TO HAVE THEM CHANGED IMMEDIATELY BUT IS BEEN WAY OVER A YEAR SINCE I HAVE BEEN CALLING THE FORD PLACES TO HAVE THEM REPLACED. THEY KEEP TELLING ME THEY DONT HAVE THEM IN STOCK AND THE PLACE THAT SENDS THEM THE AIRBAGS DOES NOT HAVE THEM. MY FORD IS THE ONLY VEHICLE I HAVE TO TRAVEL AROUND IN AND HAVE NO CHOICE TO USE IT EVERYDAY SO WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN IF THE AIRBAGS GO OFF? AM I GOING TO BE BLAMED FOR NOT GETTING THEM FIXED OR DO I HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE PAIN OF SOMEONE IN MY FAMILY, INCLUDING ME, GETTING MAMMED OR DIE FOR HAVING BAD AIRBAGS. LIVES ARE AT STAKE. I NEED THESE CHANGED. I LOVE MY FORD BUT THEY NEED TO STEP UP AND GET MY CAR IN THEIR SHOP TO FIX THESE. THE PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG INFLATOR MAY EXPLODE IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH. IF THIS IS A KNOWN RECALL AND PEOPLE HAVE DIED AS A RESULT OF THIS, WHY IS IT TAKING SO LONG TO GET THE REPLACEMENT? AN ACCIDENT CAN HAPPEN AT ANYTIME AND I DON'T WANT TO BE AFRAID TO RIDE IN MY OWN VEHICLE FOR THE FEAR OF THE AIRBAG. IF A REPLACEMENT CANNOT BE MADE, WHAT CAN BE DONE? THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE CONTACTED NEEDED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TO HAVE THE RECALL REPAIRED. TAKATA RECALL - FORD IS UNWILLING TO PROVIDE REASONABLE INTERIM SOLUTIONS REGARDING TAKATA AIRBAGS. I HAVE BEEN TOLD TO NOT PLACE ANYONE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT UNTIL PARTS ARE AVAILABLE HOPEFULLY IN SPRING 2018. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AS THE VEHICLE'S INTENDED PURPOSE IS TO TRANSPORT MULTIPLE PASSENGERS WITH USE OF THE MAIN FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. I HAVE ASKED FOR A LOANER VEHICLE, COMPENSATION TO OBTAIN A RENTAL, OR AN INTERIM REPAIR UNTIL THE PARTS ARE LOCATED. I WAS TOLD THAT NONE OF THOSE OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE AND THAT I SHOULD AVOID USING THE SEAT. ADDITIONALLY, THE INFORMATION PROVIDED IN THE RECALL NOTICE IS CONTRADICTORY TO THE RECALL INFORMATION ON THE FORD WEBSITE. THE WEBSITE STATES THAT PER TECHNICAL INFORMATION, THE VEHICLE IS SAFE TO DRIVE UNTIL REPAIR. THE RECALL LETTER SATES OTHERWISE IN THAT THE AIRBAG MAY CAUSE HARM OR DEATH IF ACTIVATED BY A PASSENGER IN THE VEHICLE. THIS PLACES AN UNDUE BURDEN ON THE CONSUMER TO ASSUME THE INCREASED INHERENT RISK AND LIABILITY IF IN A POSITION TO NEED FULL CAPABILITY OF VEHICLE, IE. 5 PASSENGERS TO TRANSPORT IN THE 5 PASSENGER ENABLED 2010 FORD EDGE. I HAVE SPOKEN TO THE FORD RECALL DEPARTMENT AND CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP DEPARTMENT TO NO AVAIL. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT MY ONLY REMAINING COURSE OF ACTION IS TO WRITE TO THE FORD EXECUTIVES AT THE GENERIC CUSTOMER SERVICE ADDRESS. THIS WILL NOT SUFFICE.

I TALKED TO A FORD EMPLOYEE ABOUT THEIR SUGGESTION FOR OUR PASSENGER. WE HAVE A 5 PASSENGER VEHICLE FOR 5 OF US AND NOW WE HAVE TO CHOOSE WHAT PERSON CAN NO LONGER RIDE IN THE CAR OR ARE WE SUPPOSE TO THROW ONE PERSON IN THE BACK WITH NO SEAT BELTS. THIS DOES NOT WORK FOR US. OUR TWELVE YEAR OLD IS TRAUMATIZED FIRST HE WAS WORRIED HE WOULD BE LEFT OUT, BUT THEN HE IS SCARED TO GET INTO THE VEHICLE. TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED A NOTICE REGARDING A RECALL ON THE AIRBAG INFLATORS IN MY FORD EDGE. I CONFIRMED THAT MY VEHICLE IS INCLUDED IN THE RECALL AND CONTACTED AUTONATION FORD IN SANFORD, FL AND WAS TOLD I HAVE TO WAIT FOR ANOTHER LETTER FROM FORD IN ORDER TO GET AIR BAG REPLACED.

ON 12/11/17 MY BRAKES WERE MAKING A AIR SOUND WHEN I TOUCHED PEDDLE. AT 47,000 MILES I ASSUMED IT WAS TIME TO REPLACE. ON 12/15 I HAD BRAKES REPLACED, BUT WHEN I GOT THE CAR BACK IT STILL HAD THE AIR SOUND. THE BRAKES WORK BUT SOMETIMES THE PEDDLE GOES ALL THE WAY DOWN AND CATCHES AT LAST MINUTE. NOW I'M TOLD FORD EDGE HAS A PROBLEM WITH BRAKE BOOSTERS AND MAIN CYLINDER. THERE HASN'T BEEN A RECALL YET, BUT I AM SURE PEOPLE DON'T NOTIFY ANYONE ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. THE GARAGE JUST SENT ME ON MY WAY KNOWING THE PROBLEM AND ALSO KNOWING THE BRAKES COULD FAIL! I WILL BE TAKING MY VEHICLE TO AN AUTHORIZED FORD DEALER TO SEE WHAT THEY CAN DO.
