THE DOOR AJAR SIGNAL STAYS ON WHEN DOOR IS SHUT. INTERIOR LIGHT STAYS ON. DOOR CANNOT BE LOCKED WHEN INSIDE.
THE DOOR ADJAR SENSOR IS BAD. FORD HAS RECALLED OTHER VEHICLES FOR THIS AND THEY ARE THE SAME YEAR BUT NOT THE FORD EDGE.
THE DRIVER DOOR IS FULLY CLOSED AND THE DASHBOARD LIGHT COMES ON STATING THE DOOR IS AJAR. INTERIOR LIGHT WILL NOT TURN OFF. THE DOOR WILL NOT LOCK AND BATT DRAINS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD EDGE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DOOR LATCH SWITCH FAILED TO ENGAGE AND THE DOOR AJAR WARNING LIGHT WOULD ILLUMINATE WHEN THE DOOR WAS ACTUALLY CLOSED. ADDITIONALLY, THE DOORS WOULD INDEPENDENTLY BECOME UNLOCKED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE DOOR LOCK SWITCH NEEDED TO BE CLEANED AND/OR REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,000.
VEHICLE STATES "DOOR AJAR WITH ALL DOORS PROPERLY CLOSED. COMPLAINT IS ONGOING. HERE IS THE ISSUE. THE INTERIOR LIGHTS ARE ON AND REMAIN ON UNTIL VEHICLE IS GOING OVER 5MPH IN A FORWARD GEAR. YOU TOTALLY LOSE VISIBILITY TO BACK UP. YOU CANNOT SEE ANYTHING TO BACK UP. IT IS DIFFICULT TO SEEING GOING FORWARD TO ATTAIN 5+ MPH TO TURN OFF THE INTERIOR LIGHTS. THE PROBLEM IS MINIMALLY ANNOYING DURING DAYTIME HOURS AND IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AT NIGHT. YOU ARE FORCED TO BACK UP TOTALLY BLIND. IT IS DANGEROUS YOU COULD BACK OVER A PEDESTRIAN, A FIXED OBJECT, OR ANOTHER CAR. FORD TOOK A RELIABLE AND SIMPLE PROCESS AND CREATED A DIFFICULT (AND EXPENSIVE) UNRELIABLE PROCESS AND IT IS FAILING ON SEVERAL CARS. *TR
THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE DOOR LATCH SENSOR. *TR
THE 2012 FORD EDGE DOOR SENSOR HAS GONE BAD IN MY CAR. NOTHING HAPPENED OR CHANGED, BUT HAVE READ 100'S OF INCIDENTS ONLINE ABOUT THIS ISSUE. IT STARTS WHEN OPENING AND CLOSING THE DOOR, AND THE DOOR SENSOR LIGHT WILL NOT TURN OFF. YOU OPEN AND CLOSE THE DOOR 1-2 TIMES AND IT GOES OFF. NO BIG DEAL. OVER TIME, YOU HAVE TO OPEN AND CLOSE 5-10 TIMES TO GET THE CAR TO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE DOOR IS SHUT. NOT LONG AFTER THAT, THE SENSOR WILL COME ON WHILE DRIVING FOR NO REASON. ULTIMATE, WILL NOT GO OFF AT ALL. SOUNDS LIKE IT'S NOT A BIG DEAL UNTIL YOU REALIZE THAT THE INTERIOR LIGHTS WILL NOT SHUT OFF WHEN THE DOOR SENSOR IS ON, THE DOORS WILL NOT LOCK, AND THE ALARM WILL NOT SET. WITH HAVING CHILDREN IN THE BACK, THEY CAN OPEN THE DOORS ON THE HIGHWAY AT ANY TIME. NOT TO MENTION NOT BEING ABLE TO LOCK YOUR CAR DOORS IN GENERAL IS UNSAFE. ALSO, THIS AFFECTS THE BATTERY BECAUSE THE LIGHTS WON'T SHUT OFF. FORD HAS YET TO RECALL THIS ISSUE. *TR
DOOR AJAR SWITCH WENT BAD ON OUR EDGE,WHICH IS A GOOD VEHICLE.HAD IT REPLACED AND JUST FINE NOW. *TR
I AM HAVING THE SAME ISSUES AS HUNDREDS OF OTHERS HAVE HAD AND POSTED ON THE NHTSA SITE. THE DOOR AJAR ISSUE FOLLOWED BY THE SHIFT TO PARK ISSUE. I AM CURIOUS WITH THIS MANY ISSUES WITH THE DOOR LATCH FAILURE, WHY ISN'T THIS A RECALL???? VERY ANNOYING TO TRY TO HAVE SOMETHING NICE ONLY FOR IT TO FAIL AT 2 YEARS OLD. BATTERY ALSO WENT DEAD AROUND 47000 MILES AND CRASHED MY GPS. APPROXIMATELY $900 TO FIX THE THREE ISSUES. THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE THE 4TH ISSUE WITH THE BACK HATCH NOT CLOSING THE FIRST TIME WE HIT THE BUTTON - THIS HAS BEEN OFF AND ON SINCE DAY 1 AND I'M TOLD YESTERDAY THAT IT LOOKS LIKE IT IS OUT OF ALIGNMENT AND WOULD NEED TO GO TO THE COLLISION CENTER FOR ESTIMATE ON REPAIR. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD EDGE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE DOOR AJAR WARNING LIGHT CONTINUOUSLY ILLUMINATED WHEN THE DOOR WAS COMPLETELY CLOSED. THE FAILURE CAUSED THE INTERNAL DOME LIGHTS TO REMAIN ILLUMINATED AND CAUSED THE BATTERY TO DRAIN. ALSO, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE DOORS FAILED TO STAY LOCKED WHILE DRIVING. THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE SENSOR INSIDE THE DOOR MIGHT NEED TO BE REPLACED; HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.

STOP AND GO TRAFFIC. STOPPED AT TRAFFIC SIGNAL 4 CARS BACK. TRAFFIC STARTED MOVING ON GREEN LIGHT, I TAPPED MY BRAKES 3X, 4TH TIME NO BRAKES. I ROLLED INTO THE BACK OF A JEEP SLOWLY, 2MPH, WHILE STANDING ON MY BRAKE PEDAL WITH NO HYDRAULIC PRESSURE AT ALL. WE MOVED TO THE SHOPPING MALL PARKING LOT, BRAKE PRESSURE WAS RESTORED. HAPPENED ONLY WHEN PUMPING BRAKES REPEATEDLY AT SLOW RATE OF SPEED. BROUGHT VEHICLE TO DEALER. TOLD BRAKE BOOSTER WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM # 13N02.COMPLETED 7/29/14. PREVIOUSLY RAN VEHICLE HEALTH REPORT THROUGH MYSYNC = BRAKES OK. FEB'14 - OIL CHANGE AT DEALERSHIP. ASKED ABOUT LETTER I RECEIVED ABOUT BRAKE BOOSTER BUT WAS TOLD "I WASN'T READY FOR THAT JUST YET. I WOULD FEEL SPONGY BRAKES BEFORE IT NEEDED REPLACING". THEY DROVE MY VEHICLE INTO BAY AND TECH SAID BRAKES WERE FINE. OBVIOUSLY NOT. DRIVING FROM COLUMBUS, OHIO TO LOUISVILLE, KY I WAS STUCK IN SLOW MOVING TRAFFIC DUE TO AN ACCIDENT ON INTERSTATE 71 AT EXIT 14. WHILE CREEPING ALONG, MY EDGE LOW OIL PRESSURE INDICATOR LIGHT CAME ON AND THE ENGINE CUT OFF LEAVING THE VEHICLE WITHOUT POWER - BATTERY ACCESSORIES; SUCH AS THE RADIO STILL WORKED. BEST I CAN DESCRIBE IS SIMILAR TO THE OIL PUMP 'BURPED'. I PULLED INTO THE EMERGENCY LANE, PLACED THE CAR IN PARK, RESTARTED THE CAR, ALLOWED TO IDLE FOR A MINUTE OR SO AND PULLED BACK INTO TRAFFIC. MY CONCERN IS THAT THE ENGINE POWER SHUT DOWN LEAVING ME WITHOUT POWER STEERING OR ACCELERATOR POWER. HAD THIS HAPPENED AT A HIGHER SPEED, I THINK IT WOULD HAVE BEEN WORSE. I HAVE DRIVEN THE CAR FOR 3 DAYS SINCE THIS INCIDENT AND NO ISSUES. I PLAN TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER THIS WEEK TO SEE IF INDICATOR LIGHT MEMORY CAN BE REVIEWED. *TR
WHEN I STARTED THE CAR, THE DRIVER DOOR AJAR ALARM WOULD NOT GO OFF. I TRIED TO OPEN AND SHUT THE DOOR, BUT THE ALARM STAYS ON - WHICH MEANS THAT THE LIGHTS INSIDE THE CAR STAY ON DRAINING THE BATTERY. I TOOK THE CAR INTO A FORD DEALERSHIP IN MERIDIAN, ID AND THE COST FOR FIXING THIS PROBLEM IS $316.00. AFTER LOOKING AT THE INTERNET FOR SOLUTIONS, I DISCOVERED THAT THIS PROBLEM IS VERY COMMON. PLEASE CONSIDER A RECALL AND MAKE THE FORD CORPORATION STAND BEHIND THEIR VEHICLES. *TR
SOME TIMES DURING NORMAL TRAFFIC THE BRAKE PEDAL FEELS HARD TO PRESS AND DOES NOT STOP MY VEHICLE. SOME OTHER TIMES THE PEDAL FEELS SPONGY AND WITHOUT BRAKING POWER. AT THE SAME TIME AS PRESSING THE PEDAL I COULD HEAR A HISSING NOISE SOMETIMES WITH A "TEAPOT WHISTLE" LIKE SOUND. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE RESOLVED WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE PROGRAM CSP-13N03. HOWEVER, MY FORD DEALER IN COLOMBIA SOUTH AMERICA SAYS THAT ALTHOUGH THE VEHICLE SHOWS ALL THE SYMPTOMS AND COMPLIES WITH THE MANUFACTURE DATES, THE PROGRAM IS ONLY APPLICABLE FOR FORD CUSTOMERS IN THE US AND NOT THE REST OF THE WORLD. THIS IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT THAT INVOLVES VERY SENSIBLE PARTS OF THE VEHICLE AND SHOULD BE ADDRESSED GLOBALLY. REMEMBER LIVES ARE AT STAKE. *TR

IN ADDITION, THE DOME LIGHTS ILLUMINATED TEMPORARILY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE A LUBRICANT WAS APPLIED TO THE DOOR LATCHES. THE FAILURE RECURRED ONE YEAR LATER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000.
DOOR AJAR SENSOR IN DRIVER DOOR MALFUNCTIONING. SHOWS DOOR IS STILL AJAR AFTER MULTIPLE DOOR SLAMS. *TR
DOOR AJAR WARNING CONSTANTLY ON EVER AFTER OPENING AND CLOSING DOOR SEVERAL TIME. TOOK IT TO DEALER AND REPAIR MADE, BUT IN JUNE 2014 THE ISSUE BEGAN AGAIN (APPROX 21000 MILES). RETURNED TO DEALER SECOND TIME AND THEY REPLACED THE PART. NOW AT 32000 MILES THE ISSUE CONTINUES CAUSING SAFETY CONCERNS WITH DOORS NOT LOCKING WHEN DRIVING WITH THIS ISSUE. WHEN MANUALLY PUSHING DOWN THE DOOR LOCKS, THE DOORS WILL IMMEDIATELY UNLOCK AUTOMATICALLY. EVERY TIME I BRAKE THE INTERIOR LIGHTS TURN ON AND THE WARNING CHIME SOUNDS. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN WITH MY FIVE YEAR OLD IN MY CAR. NOW THE WARRANTY IS EXPIRED AND IT WILL COST NEARLY $500 TO FIX SINCE FORD REFUSES TO RECALL THE DEFECTIVE DOOR SWITCHES/LATCHES. *TR
BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY AND DEPRESSED THE BRAKE AS I REACH THE BOTTOM OF MY DRIVEWAY AND IT WAS HARD TO PRESS AND DIDN'T NOT STOP MY VEHICLE. I HAD TO PRESS REALLY HARD ON THE BRAKE PEDAL TO GET IT TO STOP. PROCEEDED DOWN THE STREET, REACH A STOP SIGN AND PRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND IT, AGAIN DIDN'T NOT WANT TO STOP. I HAD TO PUMP THE BRAKES AND THEN THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND BEGAN MAKING A SQUEALING/HISSING SOUND THEN MY VEHICLE STALLED. RESTARTED MY VEHICLE AND THEN IT DOES THE VERY SAME THING AT THE NEXT STOP SIGN I REACHED. DROVE BACK HOME IN FEAR OF A MAJOR BRAKING FAILURE CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. RESEARCHED THE PROBLEM AND DISCOVERED THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE BRAKE BOOSTER. CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS UPSET AT THE LACK OF URGENCY REGARDING THIS ISSUE. ALREADY WENT THROUGH THE FUEL LINE RECALL AND NOW THIS AND THIS ISN'T EVEN A RECALL, WHICH SHOULD BE AFTER SEEING THE AMOUNT OF INCIDENTS REGARDING THE BRAKING ISSUE. THIS MAY BE MY FIRST AND LAST FORD. VERY UPSET THAT FORD HAS NOT CREATED A RECALL ON THIS VERY CLEAR ISSUE. MAN UP, FORD. THIS IS A BIG ISSUE! *TR

DRIVERS SIDE "DOOR AJAR WARNING" COMES ON VERY OFTEN AND WON'T GO OFF. DOESN'T ALWAYS COME ON IMMEDIATELY, BUT WHILE ON, WON'T ALLOW DOORS TO LOCK WHILE DRIVING. VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. WHEN IT COMES ON, NOT ALWAYS IN A POSITION TO STOP IMMEDIATELY AND PUT IN PARK TO RESET . MUST STOP AND REPEAT CLOSING UNTIL IT TAKES. AGAIN VERY DANGEROUS. LASTLY, WHEN EXITING THE AUTO IF THE SENSOR FAILS THEN THE LIGHTS STAY ON AN EXTENDED PERIOD, RUNNING THE BATTERY DOWN. NOT ALLOWING THE DOORS TO LOCK AND ALARM TO SET. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE DOOR AJAR LATCH NEEDED TO BE CLEANED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE DOOR AJAR LATCH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000.
DRIVER DOOR IS SHUT, BUT DOOR AJAR INDICATOR INSIDE VEHICLE STAYS ON ALONG WITH DOME LIGHT AND DOORS WON'T AUTO LOCK ANYMORE. CONTINUOUSLY OPENING AND CLOSING WON'T TURN OFF DOOR AJAR INDICATOR.
The contact owns a 2012 Ford Edge. The contact stated after parking the vehicle, the “Shift to Park” message was displayed. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the gear selector lever to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but continued to experience the failure. The contact took the vehicle back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the gear selector lever to be replaced a second time. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The contact took the vehicle to another local dealer, Parkway Ford (311 Commercial Pkwy, Dover, OH 44622: (330) 343-6681) where the vehicle was diagnosed with needing the gear selector lever to be replaced again. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The contact called Parkway Ford and made them aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 27,865.
NHTSA, THIS HAS HAPPENED A FEW TIMES AND ITS A BIT ANNOYING. WHEN DRIVING, OR EVEN PARKED, THE DOOR AJAR LIGHT WOULD COME ON FOR THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR EVEN THOUGH THE DOOR IS FIRMLY CLOSED. ONCE YOU REOPEN THE DOOR, AND CLOSE IT AGAIN, THE LIGHT _MAY OR MAY NOT_ TURN OFF. THIS HAS NOT ONLY AFFECTED ME, AND A CLOSE NEIGHBOR, HOWEVER IT ALSO HAPPENED TO A NUMBER OF PEOPLE AS WELL. THE FIX, ACCORDING TO FORD, IS TO CLEAN THE LATCH ASSEMBLY AND IF IT FAILS, THEN REPLACE. HOWEVER THIS IS A COSTLY REPAIR AND SINCE IT AFFECTS SO MANY FORD VEHICLES, WE BELIEVE THIS SHOULD BE LOOKED AT BY THE NHTSA. *TR

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 71,000.UPADATED 04/29/14 MA THE CONSUMER STATED THE DOORS WILL NOT LOCK WITH THE KEY IN THE IGNITION, THE INTERIOR LIGHTS WOULD STAY ON AT NIGHT AND OCCASIONALLY AFTER THE KEY IS REMOVED, LASTLY, AFTER A STOP WARNING LIGHTS WOULD FLASH AND A DISTRACTING DINGING SOUND WOULD START WHILE DRIVING. HAVING A PROBLEM WITH THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR. THE DOOR IS COMPLETELY SHUT BUT THE DOOR AJAR LIGHT COMES ON. HAVE TO SLAM THE DOOR SEVERAL TIMES AND EVEN THEN THE DOOR AJAR WARNING COMES ON. I THINK THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO. POSSIBLE LATCH REPLACEMENT. *TR
DOOR AJAR SENSOR IS OVERACTING. INITIALLY A FEW DOOR CLOSINGS RECTIFIED. HAS GOTTEN WORSE OVER TIME AND DISALLOWS LOCKING, WARNS TO SHIFT TO PARK OFTEN IN SLOWER TRAFFIC. INTERIOR LIGHTS REMAIN ON FOR MORE THAN 20 MINUTES DRAINING THE BATTERY. NO WAY TO SHUT OFF INTERIOR LIGHTS WITH THIS DOOR AJAR DEFECT EVEN WITH THE CAR OFF AND DOORS FIRMLY CLOSED. *TR
THE SENSOR IN MY DRIVERS DOOR DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THE DOOR IS CLOSED. AS I'M DRIVING THE DOORS WILL NOT LOCK AND THE INTERIOR LIGHTS FLASH ON AND OFF BECAUSE THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM THINKS THE DOOR IS OPENING. ALSO THE VEHICLE ALERTS ME WITH EVERY BUMP I HIT IN THE ROAD THAT THE DOOR IS AJAR WITH A SCREEN ALERT AND RINGING BELL. I BROUGHT THIS TO THE DEALERSHIP AND SPENT $150 TO HAVE IT CLEANED WHICH HELPED FOR 6 MONTHS AND NOW IT IS ACTING UP AGAIN. *TR
I PURCHASED A 2012 FORD EDGE USED WITH 34,000 MILES ON IT. AT 39,000 MILES I STARTED RECEIVING A "DRIVER DOOR AJAR" WARNING EVEN THOUGH THE DOOR WAS COMPLETELY CLOSED. HAVING RESEARCHED THIS ONLINE I AM FINDING MULTIPLE REPORTS ON MESSAGE BOARDS REGARDING THIS PROBLEM. THE ESTIMATED REPAIR COST IS $250-$400 AND REQUIRES A DEALER PART, THE DOOR LATCH MODULE, TO FIX THIS. SOME FOLKS REPORT SPRAYING SOMETHING LIKE DW-40 RELIEVED THE SYMPTOM BUT I HAVE HAD NO SUCH LUCK. I FIND THAT IF I USE A PEN OR SMALL OBJECT AND PUSH THE LATCH CLOSED MANUALLY AND THEN PULLING THE HANDLE TO "OPEN" IT THE SYMPTOM WILL ABATE FOR A WHILE BUT RETURNS SOON. THE DOOR LATCH IS ON NATIONAL BACK ORDER WHICH SHOULD INDICATE THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE. THE PRIMARY REASON I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN AND NOT JUST POOR CRAFTSMANSHIP IS FOR ONE, EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU LEAVE A STOPPED POSITION A CHIME GOES OFF AND THE VEHICLE DISPLAY THROWS UP ALERTS TELLING THE DRIVER TO PARK THE CAR. THIS IS BOTH ANNOYING AND DISTRACTING. SECONDLY, ONCE THE DRIVER IS SUFFICIENTLY NUMB TO THE ERRONEOUS MESSAGE IF THE DOOR TRULY IS AJAR HE/SHE WILL MOST LIKELY IGNORE THE FACT. *TR

CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE HAS A COMPUTER GLITCH CAUSING THE TAIL GATE TO RAISE WITHOUT WARNING. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED THE LAST TIME THE TAILGATE WENT UP, SHE WAS BACKING OUT OF THE GARAGE AND IT STRUCK THE CONCRETE BARRIER HEADER OVER THE GARAGE DOOR OPENING, RESULTING IN APPROXIMATELY $1,000.00 WORTH OF DAMAGE TO THE TAILGATE. NORMALLY, THE TAILGATE WOULD CHIME WHEN IT WAS GOING UP, BUT ON THREE OCCASIONS THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. *JB

I HAVE REPLACED THE BRAKE BOOSTER FOR 536.00 NOW TO FIND OUT THE MASTER CYLINDER IS ALSO DEFECTIVE AND MUST BE REPLACED ...WHICH IS ANOTHER 300.00..................I HAVE HAD CLOSE CALLS TRYING TO STOP MY CAR , ESPECIALLY IF THERE'S A HILL. WHEN CONTACTING DEALERSHIP, THEY ACKNOWLEDGED ITS A KNOWN ISSUE FOR THIS VEHICLE, YET FORD DOESN'T DEEM IT A SAFETY ISSUE, THEREFORE WON'T RECALL IT. IT IS A DISTRACTION, AND DOOR IS UNABLE TO BE LOCKED WHEN IN DRIVE, CREATING A SAFETY ISSUE. ALSO, SINCE THE VEHICLE THINKS THE DOOR IS OPEN, WHEN IN PARK AND LOCKED, INTERIOR LIGHTS WILL NOT GO OFF, LEADING TO BATTERY DRAIN. DEALERSHIP WANTS TO CHARGE A DIAGNOSTIC FEE, BEFORE IT WILL FIX THE PROBLEM WHEN THEY KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THE ISSUE IS. OF COURSE THE ISSUE HAPPENED RIGHT AFTER VEHICLE WENT OVER MILEAGE WARRANTY. DOOR LOCK WAS ALREADY REPLACED WITHIN A MONTH OF VEHICLE PURCHASE, AND THE SECOND ONE WENT BAD ALREADY. THOSE ONLY HAVE 1000 MILE WARRANTY ON REPLACEMENT PARTS, FORD IS KNOWINGLY PUTTING DEFECTIVE PARTS IN THE VEHICLES. *TR

DRIVER DOOR AND LEFT REAR DOOR CONSTANTLY SAYS DOOR AJAR. REGARDLESS HOW HARD IT IS CLOSED IT STILL SAYS DOOR AJAR. WD40 OR ANY OTHER LUBRUCANT OR CLEANER DOES NOT RECTIFY THE SITUATION. THIS IS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS PARKED OR IN MOTION, WITH THE KEY IN OR OUT OF THE IGNITION. BECAUSE OF THIS THE INTERIOR LIGHTS TO NOT TURN OUT, WHICH CAUSES THE BATTERY TO GO DEAD REPEATEDLY. IN ADDITION TO THE DEAD BATTERY THE DOME LIGHT WILL STAY ON WHILE DRIVING.
