MY DRIVER DOOR AJAR LITE STAYS ON. NO MATTER HOW HARD I SHUT DOOR. AND DOM LITE STAYS ON
DRIVER DOOR AJAR WARNING SIGN AND THE DOOR WOULD NOT LOCK WHETHER STATIONARY OR IN MOTION. IT POSES A SAFETY HAZARD AS IT PREVENTS YOU FROM LOCKING THE DOORS WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE. I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM LAST YEAR AND I HAD IT FIXED AT A LOCAL FORD SERVICE CENTER BUT THE DOOR LATCH SENSOR IS MALFUNCTIONING AGAIN. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL FOR THIS PART MALFUNCTION AS IT PRESENTS A SAFETY HAZARD.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD EDGE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLES DOOR AJAR INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE INTERIOR LIGHTS WOULD ALSO ILLUMINATE WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND TURNED OFF, AS IF THERE WAS A DOOR AJAR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 44,000.
MY CAR WOULD JUST CUT OFF LOOSING ALL POWER. NO BRAKES NO STEERING! MOSTLY AT SLOW OR IDOL SPEEDS, TURNING INTO TRAFFIC THIS WAS A LARGE PROBLEM. IT SEEMS THAT THROUGH GOOGLE SEARCHING IT IS A LARGE PROBLEM FOR FORD. THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED AND FORD NEEDS TO FIX THE PROBLEM BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED IF IT HASN'T ALREADY HAPPENED.
I HAVE HAD AN ISSUE WITH DRIVER SIDE DOOR LATCH TWICE. TAKEN TO DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. JUNE 2015 AND FEBRUARY 2016
TAKATA RECALL: DRIVER SIDE DOOR SENSOR INDICATOR STAYS ON WHICH CAUSES THE INTERIOR LIGHT TO STAY ON. AT NIGHT IT'S VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE WILL BACKING UP THIS IS VERY UNSAFE AND HAS CAUSE ME TO BACK INTO TRASH CAN. I'M VERY FORTUNATE IT WASN'T A PERSON OR VEHICLE. MY DOORS WILL NOT LOCK THIS CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS DUE TO THE FACT I TRANSPORT DOWN SOME HIGH CRIME AREAS. ALSO MY GAS CAP SEAL DOESN'T SEAL PROPERLY WHEN I GET GAS MY CAR IS HARD TO START.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD EDGE. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO ENGAGE THE BRAKES, AN ABNORMAL SQUEAKING SOUND EMITTED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ROTORS WERE CRACKED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE ISSUE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000.
WITH ALL DOORS CLOSED SECURELY, THE DOOR AJAR WARNING SOUNDS. IT SEEMS TO BE ONLY THE DRIVERS DOOR AT THIS TIME. WHEN THE DOOR AJAR WARNING IS ACTIVE, THE DOME LIGHTS STAY ON, THE DOORS WILL NOT LOCK, AND THERE IS A PERSISTENT CHIME THAT SOUNDS. THIS HAPPENS WHEN IN PARK, IN DRIVE, AND WHILE TRAVELLING DOWN THE ROAD. CAR HAS BEEN TO DEALER FOR THIS, ONCE DURING WARRANTY, AND RECENTLY WHILE OUT OF WARRANTY. DEALER WANTS $433.14 TO REPAIR, EVEN THOUGH THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE.
DRIVER SIDE DOOR AJAR WARNING LIGHT AND ALARM GO OFF EVEN WHEN DOOR IS SECURELY SHUT. CAR IS CURRENTLY UNDER 36,000 MILES BUT JUST A FEW WEEKS OVER THE 3 YEAR MARK. DIEHL FORD IN BELLINGHAM, WA WILL NOT ATTEMPT TO HONOR THE WARRANTY.
DOOR AJAR SENSOR SWITCH IS MALFUNCTIONING AND CANNOT SENSE WHEN DOOR IS CLOSED. DOORS WILL NOT LOCK PROPERLY OR AUTOMATICALLY BECAUSE SWITCH IS MALFUNCTIONING. THIS IS OCCURRING BOTH WHILE THE CAR IS PARKED AND IN MOTION. SOMETIMES WHILE DRIVING THE DOOR AJAR LIGHT WILL COME ON RANDOMLY. AS I OFTEN HAVE A CHILD IN THE CAR, I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE INABILITY FOR THE CAR TO DETECT WHEN THE DOOR IS CLOSED AND WHEN IT IS NOT AND THE RELATED LOCKING OF THE DOORS.
THE DRIVER DOOR AJAR LIGHT REMAINS ON AFTER DOOR IS SHUT. THE DOME LIGHTS REMAIN ON. SHIFT TO PARK WARNING COMES ON. THIS HAPPENS WHEN DRIVING AS WELL. THE ALARM WILL NOT ACTIVATE. I HAVE TO TRY SEVERAL TIMES TO CLOSE THE DOOR ON ORDER FOR IT TO GO OFF.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD EDGE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DOOR AJAR LIGHT WAS CONSTANTLY ILLUMINATED WHEN THE DOOR WAS CLOSED COMPLETELY. THE FAILURE WAS PERSISTENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 42,000.
THE "DOOR ADJAR" LIGHT AND WARNING SOUNDS COME ON OUR FORD EDGE WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STARTED AND IT TELLS US TO SHIFT THE GEAR SHIFTER INTO PARK. NONE OF THE DOORS ARE OPEN. THIS HAS BECOME A PROBLEM EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE IS USED.
"TAKATA RECALL" DRIVER SIDE DOOR ADJAR SENSOR REMAINS ON ALL THE TIME EVEN THOUGH THE DOOR IS CLOSED SECURELY. THIS CAUSES THE VEHICLE NOT BE SECURED PROPERLY AND CAUSES ALERTS TO SOUND WHILE DRIVING.
MY 2013 FORD EDGE DOOR LATCH INCORRECTLY REPORTS THAT THE DOOR IS OPEN WHEN IT IS NOT. THIS TURNS THE INTERIOR LIGHTS ON AND DRAINS THE BATTERY, ALSO WILL NOT LET YOU TURN ON THE ALARM OR LOCK THE DOORS FROM THE INSIDE. CONSTANTLY CHIMES AND TELL YOU TO PUT IN PARK TO SHUT DOOR.
"TAKATA RECALL" I WENT TO THE DEALER UNDER WARRANTY TO HAVE THE DRIVER DOOR AJAR FIXED AND REQUESTED A NEW DOOR LATCH AND WAS TOLD FORD SENT A TOOL TO FIX THE PROBLEM WHICH LASTED 8 MONTHS UNFORTUNATELY OUT OF BUMPER TO BUMPER. CALLED LOVELAND FORD AND WAS TOLD FORD IS BEING FINICKY ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND I NEED TO PAY FOR IT OUT OF POCKET PER THE CORPORATION REALLY!!!!!!! THE CAR DOME LIGHT STAYS ON AND THE COMPUTER MODULE TELLS ME TO PUT IN PARK AND THE DOOR AJAR WILL NOT GO OUT. IT HAPPENS RANDOMLY DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND WHEN I START THE CAR. I SLAM THE DOOR 5-10 TIMES I AM NOT GOING TO PAY THEM FOR A CAR THAT WAS OVER 30K FOR A PROBLEM THEY COVERED UP? SHAME ON YOU FORD!,,,,,,,,,,

DOOR AJAR SENSOR REMAINS IN THE OPEN DOOR POSITION, SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM, WHEN STOPPED AT STREET LIGHTS, INSIDE LIGHTS COME ON , TELLS YOU TO PUT CAR IN PARK, ALSO SEEMS TO BE DRAINING BATTERY LIFE , REPLACED 2ND BATTERY IN A THE LAST 3 MNTHS SINCE THIS PROBLEM STARTED
WHEN CLOSING THE DOOR THE DOOR AJAR MESSAGE COMES UP ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. INTERIOR LIGHTS WILL NOT GO OFF CAUSING PROBLEMS WITH NIGHT DRIVING. DOORS WILL NOT LOCK WHEN THIS HAPPENS. WHEN TURNING VEHICLE OFF THE INTERIOR LIGHTS STAY ON AND IN TURN PUTS A DRAIN ON THE BATTERY. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS AS IT HAS BECOME AN UNSAFE PROBLEM FOR NIGHT DRIVING. THIS STARTED FEB. 2016 AND HAS BEEN A CONTINUOUS PROBLEM SINCE THEN. SPEED MAKES NO DIFFERENCE FOR THIS PROBLEM.
THE DOOR AJAR LIGHT IS CONTINUALLY ON, RARELY DOES THE DOOR SHUT AND THE LIGHT GOES OFF. THIS LEAVES THE INTERIOR LIGHTS ON EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME AND IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS THE DOOR IS NOT SECURE. THE CAR DOES THIS BOTH WHEN STATIONARY AND IN MOTION.
FORD DOOR LATCH ISSUE- THE DRIVER DOOR WILL NOT LATCH WHEN DOOR IS SHUT THIS CAUSES THE LIGHTS TO COME ON IN THE VEHICLE AND WARNINGS TO APPEAR ON THE DASH (DOOR AJAR, SHIFT TO PARK, ETC). I HAVE ISSUES WITH MY CAR LOCKING BECAUSE THE DOORS APPEAR TO BE OPEN. THIS IS AN ONGOING ISSUE. THE DEALERSHIP CLEANED THE LATCH FOR ME AND THIS TEMPORARILY SOLVED THE PROBLEM, HOWEVER A FEW MONTHS LATER AND ITS HAPPENING AGAIN. THIS IS UNSAFE WHEN I AM DRIVING AS I DO NOT KNOW IF THE DOOR IS SECURELY SHUT. IT ALSO IS A DISTRACTION WHEN ALL OF THE LIGHTS ARE ON AND THERE ARE WARNINGS FLASHING ON THE DASHBOARD. *TR
VEHICLE DOES NOT LOCK CORRECTLY. THIS OCCURS DAILY AT RANDOM PLACES WHILE PARKED. LIGHTS STAY ON DRAINING THE BATTERY. ALARM GOES OFF RANDOMLY AT DAY OR NIGHT WAKING ME AND NEIGHBORS ALMOST EVERY NIGHT. IT IS 4 AM ALARM WENT OFF AND I JUST SPENT 30MIN TRYING TO FIX THE DOOR BECAUSE LIGHTS ARE STILL ON.
DOOR AJAR INDICATION DOES NOT GO OUT WHEN DOOR IS CLOSED. THE INTERIOR LIGHT WILL NOT GO OUT AND THE DOORS WILL NOT LOCK.
A DOOR OPEN WARNING INDICATION COMES UP AND RESULTS IN DOME LIGHTS ALSO STAYING ON EVEN WHEN THE DRIVER'S DOOR IS PROPERLY CLOSED. REQUIRES YOU TO SLAM THE DOOR SEVERAL TIMES TO GET THIS WARNING TO COME OFF. APPARENTLY THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH FORD EDGE VEHICLES YET FORD HAS YET TO ISSUE A RECALL FOR THIS SAFETY ISSUE.

DOOR AJAR ISSUE, DOOR IS CLOSED AND IT CONTINUALLY POPS UP WHICH MAKE THE INTERIOR LIGHTS COME ON MAKING IT DANGEROUS AT NIGHT. I'VE HAD THIS ISSUE "FIXED" ONCE BY THE DEALERSHIP LESS THAN A AGO AND IT HAS POPPED UP AGAIN. THIS HAPPENS WHILE I THE CAR IS STOPPED AND IN MOTION, REGARDLESS TO WHERE I AM AT.
THE DRIVER DOOR SENSOR (WHEN THE DOOR IS SHUT TIGHTLY AND SECURED) KEEPS TURNING INTERIOR LIGHTS ON WHILE DRIVING IN THE DARK! THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. GUESS WHAT ELSE HAPPENS? MY DOORS WILL NOT LOCK BECAUSE OF THIS SENSOR. THAT IS ANOTHER SAFETY ISSUE ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE SAFETY SPECTRUM. IF THIS OCCURS BOTH DRIVING AND WHILE CAR IS NOT IN MOTION, HOW DOES FORD VALUE THE SAFETY OF THEIR CUSTOMERS? HOPEFULLY BY TAKING THAT THIS SHOULD BE RECALLED AND MAKE THEIR CUSTOMERS HAPPY. THIS IS DISAPPOINTING, AS WELL AS FRUSTRATING BECAUSE IT IS HAPPENING EVERY SINGLE DAY.
WHILE DRIVING AT SPEED, VEHICLE STARTED TO SPUTTER AND LOST POWER, LOST ALL FUNCTION AND HAD TO PULL OVER ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. ENGINE SPUTTERED BADLY, WITH THE WRENCH LIGHT ON. TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND BACK ON AND RAN SMOOTHLY AGAIN. IT HAS HAPPENED A FEW TIMES.
DOOR AJAR WARNING MESSAGE. DOME LIGHT STAYS ON WHILE DRIVING AND WHILE PARKED. NECESSARY TO OPEN AND CLOSE DOORS MULTIPLE TIMES BEFORE LIGHTS GO OFF AND WARNING MESSAGE GOES AWAY. BOTH WHEN SECURING THE VEHICLE, AND PRIOR TO DRIVING OFF. PROBLEM MOST SEVERE DURING COLD TEMPERATURES. STANDING OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE FOR 10-20 MINUTES IN 19 DEGREE WEATHER TRYING TO SECURE VEHICLE. STARTED HAPPENING FROM DECEMBER 2015 TO PRESENT.
DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR OPEN LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON. SHIFT TO PARK LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON. LIGHTS COME ON WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING OR JUST PARKED. INTERIOR LIGHTS DON'T GO OUT WHEN THEY SHOULD. INSIDE LIGHTS GO ON WHEN THE CAR IS JUST PARKED FOR NO REASON. SOMETIMES WILL STAY ON FOR UP TO A HALF AN HOUR.
THE VEHICLE WAS OPERATED AT INDICATED 45 MPH BY OWNER ON A STANDARD TWO LANE HIGHWAY IN A RURAL ENVIRONMENT. OUTSIDE AIR TEMPERATURE WAS 48 DEGREES F. LIGHTING CONDITIONS WERE DAYLIGHT AND SUNNY. WITHOUT WARNING THE VISTA SUNROOF EXPLODED AND SHATTERED GLASS INTO THE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE. THERE WAS NO EXTERNAL FORCE SUCH AS A PROJECTILE THAT CAUSED THE DAMAGE. ALL GLASS FRACTURES WERE AROUND EACH EDGE AT MOUNTING LOCATIONS. SIMILAR CASES HAVE BEEN REPORTED AND DISCUSSED ON VARIOUS FORUMS. IN EACH CASE, THE DAMAGE OCCURS EXACTLY THE SAME WAY. THIS IS MOST LIKELY A MANUFACTURING DEFECT AND SHOULD BE CONSIDERED VERY DANGEROUS. FORD MOTOR COMPANY NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT THIS AND REACT BEFORE SOMEONE GETS SERIOUSLY HURT.
FORD EDGE 2013 DOOR AJAR LIGHT STAYS ON DASHBOARD ..AND INSIDE CAR LIGHTS STAY ON IT MAKES IT REALLY HARD TO DRIVE AT NIGHT !! I TALK TO OTHER FRIENDS THAT OWN SAME TYPE OF CAR AND HAVE SAME PROBLEM ....WHILE IM DRIVING IT KEEPS TELLING TO PARK AND CLOSE THE DOOR EVEN DOUGH ITS CLOSE ITS FRUSTATING ..I ONLY HAD MY CAR FOR A FE MONTHS ONLY AND IM STRESSING OUT...

TURN CAR OFF AND EXIT AND SHUT DRIVERS DOOR INTERIOR LIGHTS STAY ON AND EVENTUALLY RUN BATTERY DOWN.DEALER SAYS THE CONTACTS IN DOOR LATCH SWITCH NEED TO BE CLEANED. FIX LASTS ONLY ABOUT 2 WEEKS. BROUGHT BACK UNDER WARRANTY 3 TIMES. DEALER WILL NOT REPLACE PART ONLY CLEAN. MY WARRANTY RUNS OUT IN ONE MONTH.
DOOR AJAR NOTIFICATION STAYS ON WHEN DOOR IS CLOSED, DRIVERS DOOR. INTERIOR LIGHTS STAY ON MAKING THE VEHICLE UNSAFE TO OPERATE AT NIGHT.
PURCHASED A 2013 FORD EDGE ON 12/04/2015. COLLISION WARNING SENSORS AND ADVANCED TRACK SENSOR OFF WARNINGS KEPT COMING ON. THE DEALERSHIP SAYS THAT THEY REPLACED THEM, AND THINGS SEEMED TO BE OKAY WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A FEW OTHER UNRELATED ISSUES. HOWEVER, ON 02-25-2016 AFTER PICKING UP MY CAR FROM THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN, THE ACCESSORY POWER IS ACTIVE SENSOR CAME ON. NOTHING WAS POWERED ON OR PLUGGED IN, AND IT WAS NOT MENTIONED IN THE MANUAL. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN, ONLY I HAVE NOT HAD THE BEST OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT SINCE BUYING THIS CAR. ONLINE REVIEWS FROM OTHER FORD EDGE OWNERS COMPLAIN OF THE ENGINE SHUTTING DOWN AND LOSING POWER! THE COLLISION WARNING AND ADVANCE TRACK SENSORS HAVE COME ON WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY, BUT THE ACCESSORY POWER WARNING FIRST CAME ON JUST AS I WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING SPOT. IT REMAINED ON FOR SEVERAL HOURS, THEN WENT OUT. THEN THE COLLISION WARNINGS AND ADVANCE TRACK WARNINGS FLASHED ON AGAIN FOR ABOUT 10 SECONDS OR SO, THEN WENT BACK OUT. I SHOULD ADD THAT THE DEALERSHIP SUPPOSEDLY RESET THE COLLISION WARNING AND ADVANCE TRACK SENSORS AND PERFORMED CCM ALIGNMENT PROCEDURES. AS OF YET, I HAVE NOT LOST POWER, BUT I AM GREATLY CONCERNED THAT THIS COULD HAPPEN! THIS IS THE ONLY VEHICLE I OWN, AND I NEED TO KNOW WHAT CAN LEGALLY BE DONE?
CAR DISPLAYS A WARNING LIGHT INDICATING THAT THE DRIVER'S DOOR IS NOT PROPERLY CLOSED. FORD DEALER CLEANED AND ADJUSTED DOOR LATCH BUT THE PROBLEM HAS REOCCURRED.

THE CONTACT WIGGLED THE SHIFTER AND THE CHIME AND WARNING INDICATOR WENT AWAY. THE FAILURE OCCURRED APPROXIMATELY TEN TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000.
THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR INDICATOR CONTINUALLY SAYS DOOR IS AJAR WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION AND PARKED. I HAVE TO SLAM THE DOOR SEVERAL TIMES TO GET THE VEHICLE TO RECOGNIZE THE DOOR IS IN FACT CLOSED. I HAD THIS ISSUE ABOUT A YEAR AGO, TOOK IT TO DEALER WHO TOOK THE DOOR APART AND CLEANED IT. THIS SEEMED TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE FOR A WHILE, BUT IT'S BACK AGAIN AND INCREASING IN FREQUENCY. I SEE MANY SIMILAR COMPLAINTS, THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A POPULAR ISSUE. WOULD LIKE FORD TO RECOGNIZE AND ISSUE A RECALL ON THIS SENSOR.
THE DRIVER DOOR IS CLOSED, BUT AJAR STAY ON!
WHEN YOU CLOSE THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR THE INSTRUMENT PANEL GIVES A FALSE WARNING SAYING THE DOOR IS AJAR AND THE DOME LIGHT STAYS ON. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS STATIONARY. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS OF OPENING AND CLOSING THE DOOR THE WARNING DISAPPEARS, BUT THEN WHILE THE CAR IS MOVING THE WARNING RETURNS AND THE DOME LIGHT COMES BACK ON AND THE DOORS UNLOCK. THIS SEEMS TO BE A PRETTY COMMON PROBLEM AND MY CAR CURRENTLY HAS 48,000 MILES ON IT. THIS WARNING ISSUE HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR ABOUT 1 MONTH.

THE DOOR AJAR LIGHT COMES ON WHEN THE DOOR IS CLOSED TIGHT.(DRIVERS DOOR) THIS CAUSES WARNING LIGHTS AND SOUNDS FROM DASH DISPLAY. THE DOOR OVERHEAD LIGHTS ALSO COME ON. WHEN STOPPING THE WARNING SYSTEM STATES "SHIFT TO PARK". CONSTANT RINGING AND DISPLAY OF THIS PROBLEM BUT THE DOOR IS NOT AJAR. RESEARCH OF THIS PROBLEM ON THE INTERNET SHOWS A OBVIOUS PROBLEM WITH THESE DOOR SENSORS. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD. PLEASE FORCE RECALL! *TR
DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR OPEN LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON. SHIFT TO PARK LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON. LIGHTS COME ON WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING OR JUST PARKED. INTERIOR LIGHTS DON'T GO OUT WHEN THEY SHOULD. INSIDE LIGHTS GO ON WHEN THE CAR IS JUST PARKED FOR NO REASON. SOMETIMES WILL STAY ON FOR UP TO A HALF AN HOUR
DOOR AJAR SIGNAL STAYS ON WHEN DOOR IS SHUT PREVENTING INTERIOR LIGHTS FROM GOING OFF.
THE DOOR SENSORS ARE NOT WORKING CORRECTLY AND THE DOOR AJAR INDICATOR STAYS ON AND THE INSIDE DOME LIGHTS STAY ON MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO SEE WHEN IT IS DARK OUTSIDE.
MY DRIVER SIDE DOOR AJAR WARNING WILL NOT GO OFF. THE DOOR IS COMPLETELY CLOSED. THIS IS CAUSING THE INTERIOR LIGHTS TO STAY ON, THE ALARM CHIMES EVERYTIME I STOP AND THE DOORS WILL NOT LOCK. IF THE CAR IS PARKED IT IS CAUSING THE BATTERY TO DRAIN. THIS ISSUE BEGAN A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO INTERMITTENTLY BUT IS NOW CONSTANTRY HAPPENING.

THE INSTRUMENT PANEL GIVES AN INCORRECT WARNING THAT THE DRIVERS DOOR IS AJAR. THE DRIVERS DOOR IS SECURELY CLOSED BUT THE WARNING STAYS ON. THE DOORS ARE UNABLE TO BE LOCKED WHICH IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN. THE OVERHEAD DOME LIGHTS REMAIN ON AND DO NOT SHUT OFF AS LONG AS THIS FALSE WARNING SIGNAL IS ON WHICH IS AGAIN A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT. AFTER SHIFTING TO DRIVE, THE ALARMS SOUND AND THE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAYS "SHIFT TO PARK" WHICH AGAIN IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN AS IT IS VERY DISTRACTING WHEN TRYING TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. SINCE THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE FORD SHOULD RECALL THIS VEHICLE TO REPAIR THIS ELECTRICAL FAILURE.
DOOR AJAR WARNING LIGHT STAYS ON CONSTANTLY. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN AS THE DOORS WILL NOT LOCK AND THIS ENDANGERS THE SAFETY OF THE OCCUPANTS OF THE VEHICLE. THE WARNING BELL RINGS WHENEVER THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. ALSO, THE INTERIOR LIGHTS STAY ON WHICH IS A MAJOR CONCERN FOR NIGHT DRIVING.
