The contact owns a 2014 Ford Edge. The contact stated while driving approximately 35 mph, the service engine warning light illuminated, and the wrench was displayed on the instrument panel. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who diagnosed a brake booster and vacuum leak. The vehicle was repaired by an independent mechanic. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 53,495.
Driving down the hwy, lost all acceleration. Engine still alive, had power, radio, air etc Had to coast to the side of the road. Restarted car after a few minutes and problem resolved. Took to dealer but they could not find a code. Suggested replacing throttle body as possible solution based on how often they see this.
Window Master Switch and door wire harness on drivers door does not operate. Can not open any windows on the vehicle. Rear windows will not open from rear door switches also. In case of accident windows can not be opened for exit purposes. Can not open windows if stopped by a police officer, whereas, they may feel threatened by occupant in vehicle. Is this a safety feature to be able to open windows. Ford dealer performed a vehicle check on May 20, 2021 and indicated the door harness may need replacement and the window master switch. Ford indicated the vehicle is 7 years old and the part is likely not made by Ford anymore. Ford has no way to correct the issue. There were no warning lights, messages, regarding the stoppage on May 20, 2021
THE VEHICLE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DISPLAYS A "DRIVER DOOR AJAR" WARNING...DESPITE THE DOOR BEING FULLY CLOSED. THE DOME LIGHTS STAY ON, AND AN "ENGINE ON" ALERT APPEARS, AS WELL. TO CLEAR IT, THE DRIVER'S DOOR MUST BE CLOSED SEVERAL TIMES. IT IS OCCURRING MORE AND MORE OFTEN. THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY DURING THIS PROBLEM. IT SEEMS THIS IS A RAMPANT PROBLEM FROM WHAT MY RESEARCH INDICATES...AND SHOULD SEEMINGLY DICTATE A FACTORY RECALL.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE BRAKE BOOSTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT RELATED THE FAILURE TO AN UNKNOWN RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 105,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD EDGE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE HER HUSBAND WAS DRIVING 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE LOSS MOTIVE POWER AND DECELERATED. THE CONTACT'S HUSBAND PULLED OVER TO AN EXIT RAMP WHERE THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT AND HER HUSBAND EXITED THE VEHICLE AND PUSHED THE VEHICLE TO A REST STOP. THE CONTACT'S HUSBAND WAITED FOR A MOMENT TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND CONTINUED DRIVING TO HIS RESIDENCE. THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT'S HUSBAND TOOK VEHICLE TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED WHICH WAS STILL PENDING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,000.
I was out of town on the by pass went over a RR track slowly then took back off and heard a popping noise, went about 4 more miles and turned off as soon as I straighten my steering wheel out to head on down the road a big pop and my car stopped hard and jerked us and motor rev up. Got out to see what happened. My front tire was sideways. I’m so glad I had just turned off the by pass (60 mph) and was going slow. The axle and ball joint broke. It scared me to think what could have happened to us.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD EDGE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, THE DOOR AJAR LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED WITH THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR CLOSED. DURING THE FAILURE, THE DOOR COULD NOT BE LOCKED AND THE INTERIOR LIGHTS REMAINED ILLUMINATED. ON ONE OCCASION, THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR LOCK HAD FROZEN AND THE DOOR COULD NOT BE PROPERLY SECURED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER MEDVED FORD LOCATED AT 1404 S WILCOX ST CASTLE ROCK, CO 80104 WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR LOCKING ASSEMBLY WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
PUT THE CAR IN PARK MODE, TURNED OFF KEY, REMOVED KEY, WAS EXITING THE VEHICLE AND IT STARTED INDICATING THE CAR WAS NOT IN PARK. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE AND BOTH TIMES THE VEHICLE STARTED MOVING AS IT WAS IN NEUTRAL EVEN THOUGH THE KEY WAS REMOVED AND IT SHOWED IN PARK
The back up camera video is upside down. It is like this 95% of the time, occasionally it will be in the correct position. Sometimes the screen is all black, but mostly is is upside down making it very difficult to use when parking!
I am wanting to file a complaint about the safety of my 2014 ford edge. My brakes are very hard to push and get stopped. Even after I am stopped and have my foot on the brake my car still wants to move. I have also experienced where the brake pedal goes to the floor and then the pressure has to build back up before they will work correctly. I have done some searching about this problem and have found that the brake booster goes bad often. I have also found that replacing just the booster does not usually permanently fix the problem. It says that the hydraulic control unit and the brake master cylinder need to be replaced also. How is this not a safety issue and a recall been issued? This is around a $2000.00 fix from what I have read about.

I HAD SENT YOU A COMPLAINT ABOUT MY VEHICLE. COMPLAINT NUMBER 11384259 STATING THE VEHICLE CPU WAS DEFECTIVE. WHAT I MEANT TO SAY WAS "THE PTU UNIT IS DEFECTIVE"{ POWER TAKE OFF UNIT.}. THANK YOU AND I APOLOGIZE FOR THE MISTAKE.
BOUGHT VEHICLE APPROX 1.5 YEARS AGO FROM A CHRYSLER DEALER WITH 28000 MILES. PRESENTLY ABOUT 46000 MILES. WHILE DRIVING AT CITY SPEED, CAME TO A RED LIGHT AND STARTED SMELLING THIS ODOR OF BURNT DIFFERENTIAL FLUID OR ROTTEN EGG SMELL. IMMEDIATELY CALLED DEALER AND MADE APPT, FOR FOLLOWING DAY. WE WERE TOLD IT WAS NOT THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER (WHICH WE THOUGHT IT WAS AND UNDER WARRANTY), BUT IT WAS THE CPU UNIT. WE WERE ALSO TOLD IT WOULD COST US $3000.00 . THE WARRANTY ON THE UNIT IS 5 YEARS OR 60000 MILES. WHICHEVER COMES FIRST. HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN ON A UNIT THAT NORMALLY LASTS A LIFETIME. ESPECIALLY AT 46000 MILES. WE DID SOME RESEARCH BECAUSE DEALER SAID THEY CANNOT WARRANTY OR EVEN CHECK WITH MANUFACTURE ON WARRANTY. WE FOUND THAT THIS IS A COMMON DEFECT WITH THE 2014 FORD EDGE ANF FORD KNOWS THE ISSYE AND WILL NOT DO ANYTHING TO RECALL OR REPAIR ANY OF THESE ISSUES. WE DONT HAVE $3000 DOLLARS TO REPAIR THE ISSUE BUT AM DISAPPOINTED THAT WE HAVE TO MAKE A KNOWN REPAIR ON A VEHICLE BOUTGHT A YEAR AND A HALF AGO THAT SHOULD NOT HAPPEN. 1ST OCCURRENCE WAS WHEN I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AND THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STOPPED ACCELERATING AND WENT INTO LIMP MODE (A WRENCH WAS DISPLAYED ON THE DASHBOARD). I WAS NOT ABLE TO ACCELERATE AT ALL AND HAD TO PULL OFF THE INTERSTATE. TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE AND TURNED IT BACK ON AND THE WRENCH AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS OFF. THIS NOW OCCURS EVERY DAY AND IS A SAFETY ISSUE, IT HAPPENED WHEN I WAS MAKING A TURN AT A BUSY INTERSECTION AND ALMOST ENDED UP IN ANOTHER DRIVER HITTING ME AS I HAD NO POWER TO ACCELERATE OUT OF THE WAY. IN RESEARCHING THE ISSUE I BELIEVE IT IS DUE TO A FAULTY THROTTLE BODY CONTROL BUT AM UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE IT SINCE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND THUS ERROR CODE GOES AWAY WITH EVERY RESTART...AT THE VERY LEAST IT SHOULD TELL ME WHAT THE LAST ERROR CODE WAS.
POWER TRANSFER UNIT LEAKING AFTER 80,000 MILES, HAD THE VEHICLE SERVICED TO REPLACE PTU AND NEW PTU IS ALSO LEAKING. OTHER DRIVING ISSUES HAVE OCCURRED SINCE INCLUDING LOSING POWER STEER CAPABILITY ON WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS ON UNEVEN ROADS, UNABLE TO ACCURATELY RECREATE THE ISSUE AS IT IS VERY INTERMITTENT. ALL CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS, WRENCH, AND ADVANCETRAC DASHBOARD WARNINGS FLASH WHEN ELECTRICAL AND PROPULSION SYSTEMS MALFUNCTION.
VEHICLE REPEATEDLY HAS STALLED WHILE DRIVING. ALSO WILL SOMETIMES START WITH A ROUGH IDLE AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. PROBLEM IS RESOLVED IF VEHICLE IS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED.
WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING AND BRAKING, THE PEDAL IS VERY STRONG AND THE CAR HARDLY STOPS
THE FIRST EPISODE WAS HITTING A DEER HEAD ON AT 45MPH THE AIRBAGS NEVER WENT OFF. THE SECOND EPISODE WAS ANOTHER DIRECT HIT HEAD ON FROM REAR ENDING SOMEONE WHO CUT INFRONT OF ME. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY EITHER TIME AND THE POLICE OFFICERS AND EVERYONE INVOLVED WERE SURPRISED THEY DIDN'T.
DOOR AJAR ALERT COMES ON AFTER CLOSING DRIVER DOOR CAUSING INTERIOR DOME LIGHT TO STAY ON AND EXTERNAL LOCKING MECHANISM DOES NOT WORK SUCH AS LOCK CODE BUTTONS AND HAND SENSOR CAUSING THE VEHICLE NOT TO LOCK. THIS HAPPENS WHEN EXITING THE VEHICLE. CONCERN FIR BATTERY DRAIN, UNSECURED VEHICLE AND EXTRA LIGHTING WHEN DRIVING. HAVE HAD AN INTERMITTENT ISSUE WITH BACK HATCH DOOR STATING SAME THING. NOTED THIS IS AY KNOWN PROBLEM WITH PREVIOUS YEAR FORD EDGE PRODUCTS AND MANY COMMENTS OUT IN THE INTERNET BY OTHER FORD EDGE OWNERS. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING OVER THE LAST SEVERAL MONTHS
My 2014 Edge has the same issue that is getting solved by The NHTSA recall number, 22S43. The vehicle is not going into park.
MY CAR HAS COMPLETELY SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY!! A WRENCH ICON LIGHTS UP ON THE DASH BOARD. I CAN BARELY COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD BEFORE CAR COMES TO A COMPLETE STOP. I WAS SOOO AFRAID OF BEING KILLED! THE MECHANIC CHECKED AND SAYS THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY CAR. IT HAS HAPPENED 4 MORE TIMES. THE CAR STARTS UP AFTER I CAN PUT IT IN PARK AND DRIVES LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED UNTIL THE NEXT INCIDENT. WHO WILL HAVE TO DIE BEFORE FORD FINDS THE PROBLEM?
MY BRAKES MAKE A HISSING SOUND AND IT'S VERY HARD TO BRAKE. THE BRAKE PEDAL HARDLY MOVES WHEN I GO TO USE THE BRAKES.
MY VEHICLE LOST POWER. A WRENCH ICON APPEARED ON THE DASH. I WAS ENTERING A GAS STATION SO THE CAR WAS IN MOTION AND I WAS ABLE TO PARK. I LOOKED IT UP AND FOUND OUT IT WAS A THROTTLE BODY FAILURE.. I HAD IT TOWED TO A FORD DEALER. I DIDNT TRUST TO DRIVE IT. FORD COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE BUT THE CODE WAS RETAINED.P2111. THE ISSUE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL WHICH WAS DISAPPOINTING. IF IT'S A KNOWN ISSUE IT SHOULDNT MATTER THE YR AND VIN#. IT'S A DANGEROUS ISSUE. IT WAS COVERED UNDER MY EXTENDED WARRANTY LUCKILY AND WAS REPAIRED.

1.PRESS OR LOOSING OFF BRAKES PEDAL GIVES A KNOCKING NOISE. 2. REAR VIEW CAMERA FLICKERS & SHUT OFF WITH A WARNING MESSAGE. 3. REARVIEW SIDE MIRRORS DO NOT WORK. 4. LIGHTER PLUG LOCATED BY MIDDLE COMPACT TOWARDS BACK ROW DOES NOT WORK.
POWER SEAT ASSEMBLY IS BROKEN AND IT LOOKS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM AND IT NEEDS ADDRESSED ASAP BEFORE SOMEONE GET KILLED. MY FAMILY WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AND THE SEAT MADE A VERY FAST "ZIP" OR "RATCHETING" NOISE AND IMMEDIATELY TILTED BACKWARDS SEVERAL INCHES CAUSING ME TO SWERVE ALL OVER THE ROAD. IN MY SEARCH OF THIS PROBLEM, I FOUND IT WAS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM AND A VERY EXPENSIVE FIX ALL THE WHILE FORD REFUSES KNOWING ABOUT IT
VEHICLE LOSSES POWER WHILE TRAVELING ON HIGHWAY AND CITY STREET. MUST PULLL OVER AND RESTART THE VEHICLE. NO SET SPEED. PRESS THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL VEHICLE CREEPS ALONG. VERY CONCERNED WITH THE SAFWTY OF THE VEHICLE TRAVELING ALONG THE HIGHWAY. HAVE SPOKEN WITH THE DEALER AND TWEHY ARE LOOKING INTO IT.
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Edge. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH and approaching a stop sign, she had to depress the brake pedal to the floor to stop the vehicle. The contact also stated she heard an abnormal noise. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the brake booster to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but on 11/8/2021, she began to experience the failure again. The contact took the vehicle back to local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the brake master cylinder to be replaced. The master cylinder was replaced 11/22/2021 but failed to fix the failure. The dealer informed the contact that the hydraulic control unit needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired but was pending the repair. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 64,800 as of 2/14/2022. The contact stated that the hydraulic control unit was not replaced and the vehicle was taken to another mechanic. The right rear caliper piston was repaired. The failure has not reoccurred.
DRIVER DOOR AJAR WARNING WON'T GO OUT. DOORS WON'T LOCK. BATTERY DRAINS. TRANSMISSION NOT IN PARK WARNING. THESE WARNINGS COME ON WHILE PARKED AND WHILE THE VEHICLE IS MOVING.
OUR FORD EDGE WILL INTERMITTENTLY LOOSE POWER AND DROPS TO A ROUGH IDLE, ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. THIS CAN HAPPEN AT HWY SPEEDS OR ACCELERATING FROM A STOP. THE ERROR CODE GIVEN IS P2111 TAC SYSTEM-ACTUATOR STUCK OPEN. I CAN TURN THE SWITCH OFF THEN RESTART IT AND IT MIGHT RUN OKAY FOR AWHILE OR NOT. THROTTLE BODY IS CLEAN AND ALL CONNECTORS SEEM TO LOOK GOOD, NO CORROSION.
I HAVE A FAULTY DOOR LATCH ISSUE. WHEN I TURN MY CAR ON AND START DRIVING, THE DRIVER DOOR AJAR LIGHT WON'T GO OFF AND I CAN OPEN MY DOORS WHILE DRIVING. WHEN I SHUT THE CAR OFF, THE LIGHTS WON'T GO OFF INSIDE THE CAR AND THE CAR CONTINUES TO DING LIKE THE DOOR IS OPEN. THIS WILL CAUSE MY BATTERY TO GO DEAD.

THE CONTACT PULLED OVER AND ATTEMPTED TO CLOSE THE DOOR HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ALLAN VIGIL FORD LOCATED AT 6790 MT ZION BLVD, MORROW, GA 30260, (678) 364-7350, AND THE MECHANIC WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH MANUFACTURER COMMUNICATION NUMBER: 19N09 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES, STRUCTURE) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.
THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR SENSOR/ LATCH IS FAILING. DOOR IS CLOSED OR SLAMMED MULTIPLE TIMES AND SENSOR SHOWS ERRORS OF: DOOR AJAR, TRANSMISSION NOT IN PARK, ENGINE ON BECAUSE IT DOESN'T SENSE THE DOOR BEING SHUT. THEREFORE THE OVERHEAD LIGHT STAYS ON AND CAN POTENTIALLY DRAIN BATTERY. IF CONTINUING TO DRIVE WITH WARNING IT WILL BEEP EVERY FEW SECONDS. THE DOORS WILL NOT AUTOMATICALLY LOCK. WHEN GETTING OUT OF CAR AND LOCKING. IT NEEDS TO BE SHUT MULTIPLE TIMES SO LIGHT DOESN'T STAY ON AND OR ALARM WILL NOT SET. *TR
I SEE THAT SOME 2014 FORD EDGE VEHICLES HAVE A FUEL PUMP RECALL. WHY IS MY 2014 FORD EDGE NOT INCLUDED. I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP.
WHEN I CLOSE MY DRIVER DOOR, IT TELLS ME THAT MY DOOR IS AJAR. I KNOW MY DOOR IS CLOSED SO I PUT MY CAR IN DRIVE AND IT TELLS ME THAT MY TRANSMISSION IS NOT IN PARK. I KNOW THAT THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE 2013 FORD EDGE DOOR LATCH ON THE DRIVER DOOR. I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT FORD HAS CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. I HAVE TO CLOSE MY DOOR 3 TO 4 TIMES EVERY TIME I GET IN MY CAR JUST TO MAKE THE INDICATOR STOP DINGING. *TR

I WAS PARKED WITH THE CAR ON FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE THE POWER TRAIN MALFUNCTION/REDUCED POWER LIGHT CAME ON. THE SUV HAS A LOUD CLUNK SOUNDS WHEN I TRY TO MOVE IT. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED WITHIN 2 YEARS. THE FIRST TIME I WAS DRIVING AND GET STRANDED ON THE ROAD. *TR
HARD BREAK WHEN BREAKING, HAVE TO STEP ON BREAK WITH FULL FORCE IN A LONG DISTANCE TO GET A STOP.
FROM A STOP OR AT LOW SPEEDS THE SUV LUNGES FORWARD WITHOUT WARNING. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE PAST FEW MONTHS. WHEN SUV WAS PURCHASED NEW; THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AND I WAS WITHOUT A CAR FOR THEEE WEEKS. I HAVE MAINTAINED THE SUV AND ALL ISSUED RECALLS HAVE BEEN FIXED. THIS IS A MAJOR ISSUE AND ANYTIME I TAKE IT TO FORD DEALERSHIP THEY FIND NO ISSUE. LET ME TELL YOU; THIS IS AN ISSUE! MY LAST THREE VEHICLES HAVE BEEN FORDS AND WOULD APPRICIATE THIS ISSUE BE SOLVED
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD EDGE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL SOUND COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSFER CASE EXPLODED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V393000 (POWER TRAIN) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE NHTSA. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 82,000.

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Edge. The contact stated that the rearview camera image was distorted and blue while reversing. There was no warning light illuminated. The dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
THE DRIVER SAID DOOR WON'T REGISTER AS CLOSED SO THE DOOR AJAR LIGHT STAYS ON. THIS THEN WON'T ALLOW THE DOORS TO LOCK AND KEEPS THE DOME LIGHT ON. HOW DO YOU KNOW IF THE DOOR IS REALLY SHUT OR NOT ? IT MAKES THE CAR ALMOST USELESS SINCE IT THINKS THE DOOR IS NOT SHUT AND HOW DO YOU KNOW IF IT IS OR NOT.
The drive door is consistently not locking properly and the door latch sensor is not reading when the door is shut properly. Causing a "door ajar" and "transmission not in park" warning to pop up while driving. Also, my car alarm goes off several times a day and several times all through the night due to the door sensor not working properly. The doors not locking is a huge safety risk. The interior lights stay on making it hard to see while driving at night and drains my car battery. Children can open my doors from the inside while driving and any unwanted person can open my doors from the outside while stopped for traffic reasons. When I looked at the car to purchase 4 years ago, I reported the issue to the dealer and the dealer supposedly sent the car to a Ford dealership to inspect and fix the issue. After the supposed fix, the issue seemed fine for a while. However, the issue came back shortly after purchase and got worse causing other symptoms such as the car alarm going off randomly after locking the car. I honestly feel the dealer just cleaned the sensor and door latch area to make a sale, which from what I've read is only a temporary fix. I have seen investigations and recalls for 2011, 2012, and 2013 Ford Edge models with the same or similar issues. However, there have not been any investigations and recalls for this issue on a 2014 Ford Edge, yet there are many complaints. Please investigate this safety issue so we don't have to worry about possible risk that could occur while driving. Thank you.
DRIVER DOOR AJAR LIGHT REMAINS ON WHEN DOOR IS COMPLETELY CLOSED AND INTERIOR LIGHTS REMAIN ON. SAFETY HAZARD WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT ALSO A DRAIN ON THE BATTERY. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY WHEN PROBLEM OCCURRED BUT COULD NOT RESOLVE AND HAD TO DRIVE WITH INTERIOR LIGHTS ON AT NIGHT.
INTERMITTENT DOOR AJAR WARNING AND CANNOT LOCK DOORS AND DOME LIGHT STAYS ON. FORD HAS A CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM (19N09) FOR THIS ISSUE BUT THE DEALER TOLD ME THAT MY VIN NUMBER DOES NOT QUALIFY FOR THIS EVEN THOUGH THE DOOR PARTS ARE THE SAME PART NUMBER FROM 2011 THROUGH 2014.
POWER TAKE OFF ASSEMBLY FAILED ACCORDING TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE AND THEY CAN RANDOMLY FAIL REGARDLESS OF MILEAGE AND CAN ACTUALLY EXPLODE AND WIPE THE TRANSMISSION OUT AND IF THAT WAS TO HAPPEN WHILE DRIVING COULD BE DISASTROUS ON THE HIGHWAY BUT FORTUNATELY THAT DID NOT HAPPEN BUT COULD HAVE FORD NEEDS TO RECALL AND FIX THIS ISSUE

TIRE SIDEWALL FAILURE COOPER TIRE 245/60R18 DISCOVERER SRX, 35,000 MILES APPROX. DECELERATED FROM 70MPH TO 30MPH COMING INTO TOWN AND TIRE SIDEWALL BLEW OUT WITH NO ROAD HAZZARD. 2014 FORD EDGE LIMITED. REPLACED TIRES IMMEDIATELY 11/13/2019. DID NOT KNOW ABOUT RECALL OF CERTAIN COOPER TIRES UNTIL AFTER TIRES REPLACED. TIRES REPLACED AT TIRES 1, 3325 S 38TH ST, GRAND FORKS, ND 58201, 7017573000 I DID NOT OBTAIN DOT # FROM TIRE. I HAVE PICTURE OF FAILURE.
