The lug nuts are bulging and won't come off which as needed then the wheel can't as well. Just had new tires put on which the shop had to destroy one to get the wheel off. If a flat tire occurred I would not be able to take off a wheel and change it. I have heard this is a problem on the design for many Ford vehicles.
I'm [XXX] and I brought my Ford Edge to Lucas ford on Columbus Road in Burlington, NJ 08016 for Lube and a Tire Rotation. After an hour they said the Ford Edges wheel lugs were swollen and could not be removed under normal conditions. They wanted $300.00 to replace nuts, and with the same ones from FORD. I thought this was a scam and did not have the car dealer replace them. I researched the problem and found it was true and that FORD could care less about it. I tried to remove one nut at home and spent two hours on it and could not remove it. FORD should replace all there defective parts now. As i said I'm [XXX] and if i have a tire blow out on the road, how do remove iot and install the spare? How about a recall on the wheel lug nuts!!! We noticed washing the car today. This date being April 10, 2022. That all the tires mounted on our vehicle has cracking on all the side walls and tread. We are concerned that this may be a very serious safety issue. We just purchased this vehicle about 2 months ago as a used vehicle from a dealership. The miles on this vehicle is 28, 677. Please give us a response as we need to know what to do in this situation. Thank you!
