FRONT WHEEL BEARING
THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT WITHOUT WARNING. I HAD DRIVEN IT TO AN APPT. WITH NO PROBLEMS AND DIDN'T HAVE POWER STEERING WHEN I CAME OUT 10 MIN. LATER. I READ WHERE THERE WAS A RECALL WHICH DIDN'T INCLUDE MY VEHICLE. THIS COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT AND I FEEL FORD SHOULD REPAIR ALL OF THE VEHICLES WITH THIS PROBLEM AT NO COST. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF THIS VEHICLE AND HAVE ALWAYS HAD IT SERVICED AT THE DEALERSHIP .
I TURNED ON THE VEHICLE AND COULDN'T MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL. I TURNED IT OFF AND THE ON AND IT WORKED OK. 3 DAYS LATER I TURNED IT ON AGAIN AND COULDN'T MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL AGAIN, THIS TIME TURNING IT ON AND OFF DIDN'T WORK. I CAN'T USE THE CAR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE SCREEN DISPLAY STARTED BEEPING. THE VEHICLE LOSS POWER STEERING ASSIST, REQUIRING EXTRA EFFORT TO STEER THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND WAS INFORMED THAT SIMILAR VEHICLES WERE SUBJECTED TO A RECALL ON THE STEERING. HOFFMAN FORD (5200 JONESTOWN RD, HARRISBURG, PA 17112, (717) 657-1600) WAS CONTACTED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT SUBJECTED TO A RECALL. THE CONTACT WAS PROVIDED AN ESTIMATE OF APPROXIMATELY $3,000 TO HAVE THE STEERING COLUMN REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 207,000.
MY ESCAPE'S STEERING WHEEL BEGAN LOCKING UP WHEN I WOULD START THE CAR. I WAS ABLE TO GET IT WORKING AFTER RESTARTING IT A COUPLE TIMES, AND THOUGHT NOTHING OF IT. AFTER AWHILE I TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC, WHO TOLD ME THE STEERING COLUMN WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED AT SOME POINT BUT IT WAS NOT URGENT. HE GREASED MY WHEEL TO MAKE IT LESS SUSCEPTIBLE TO LOCKING UP, WHICH WORKED FOR A BIT. THE WHEEL STARTED LOCKING UP AGAIN WHEN I WOULD START THE CAR, AND IT GOT HARDER TO FIX IT OVER TIME. IT EVENTUALLY STARTED LOCKING UP WHILE I DROVE, SO I HAD IT TOWED TO A DIFFERENT MECHANIC NEAR ME. THEY TOLD ME TO TAKE IT TO A FORD DEALERSHIP IN LEXINGTON, KY, WHERE IT WAS NOT SERVICED. I WAS TOLD AGAIN I NEED A NEW STEERING COLUMN BECAUSE MY POWER STEERING WAS OUT BY BOTH MECHANICS. I TOOK IT TO YET ANOTHER MECHANIC, WHERE I WAS TOLD THE SAME THING. IT STILL HAS NOT BEEN FIXED. MY ESCAPE HAS ALREADY BEEN FIXED UNDER THE PREVIOUS STEERING RECALL, BUT THIS IS HAPPENING TO A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT OWN ESCAPES RECENTLY, AND IT WILL RESULT IN A HORRIFIC ACCIDENT IF NOT FIXED.
STEERING WHEEL HAS LOCKED UP WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS.
LOST POWER STEERING IT COME THEN GOES NOW NOT WORKING. VERY HARD TO STEE. WAS JUST STARRING TO DRIVE
MY 2009 FORD ESCAPE HAS A SEVERE DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT BRAKE OVERHEATING PROBLEM. THE BRAKE CALIPER IS CAUSING ENOUGH FRICTION ON THE ROTOR TO CAUSE THE RIM, TIRE, AND THE ENTIRE ENGINE COMPARTMENT TO BECOME OVER HEATED AND SMOKE. THE VEHICLE HAS ONLY 125,000 MILES.
VEHICLE HAD AN ABS EVENT AND AFTER THIS OCCURRED THE BRAKE PEDAL TRAVELED TO THE FLOOR TO STOP VEHICLE. IT HAS TWICE RETURNED TO NORMAL BUT NO LONGER. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS THOROUGHLY TO FIND THIS AN ABS MODULE ASSEMBLY FAILURE. THIS UNIT MANUFACTURED BY CONTINENTAL AUTOMOTIVE SYSTEMS HAS A DOCUMENTED HISTORY OF THE SEIKO ZINC PLATED VALVES NOT SEATING THE SEALS AFTER AN ABS EVENT DUE TO CORROSION AND THE VALVE REMAINING OPEN. THIS HCU / HCU ASSEMBLY ARE HAVING THE SAME REACTION AS DOCUMENTED IN NHTSA RECALL NO. 19V-904 OR MANUFACTURER RECALL NO. 19S54 WITH OTHER FORD VEHICLES. THE ONLY VARIANCE HERE IS THE ASSEMBLY PLANTS OF HERMOSILLO MEXICO AND KANSAS CITY. THE CLAIM IS THE DOT 3 FLUID USED IS PROBLEMATIC BUT THE FACT THAT A ZINC CARBOXYLATE GEL IS BEING FORMED IN THE HCU IS UNCHANGED REGARDLESS OF THE MANUFACTURER. FORD HAS CLAIMED ONLY A 1% FAILURE WITH THE ABOVE MENTIONED CAMPAIGN BUT HAVE TOTALLY LEFT OFF THE SAME YEAR ESCAPE'S WITH THE IDENTICAL SAFETY ISSUE IN THIS CAMPAIGN. I AM URGING THE NHTSA TO PLEASE LOOK FURTHER INTO THIS MATTER OF SAFETY. I HAVE TRIED REACHING YOUR CONTACT PERSON DEMARA MAGRUDER WITH A PHONE CALL AND EMAIL BUT HAVE GOTTEN NO RESPONSE BACK ON THIS MATTER. I AGAIN URGE THE NHTSA TO OPEN THIS WELL DOCUMENTED ABS MODULE FAILURE TO BE OPENED TO THE (2009)FORD ESCAPE. THIS REPLICATED EVENT IS A COMMON HAPPENING WITH MANY FORD ESCAPE OWNERS ON THE INTERNET. LASTLY I WILL LET YOU KNOW I DID CONTACT MY DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE NEW BUT TO NO AVAIL. THEY SAID THEY SIMPLY COULD NOT HELP ME WITH THE REPAIRS ON MY ESCAPE WITH IT'S AGE AND MILEAGE OF 100K. THIS SHOULD NOT BE A FACTOR WITH THE SAFETY OF MY 18 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WHO WAS DRIVING WHEN THIS OCCURRED! The contact owns a 2009 Ford Escape. The contact stated that on several occasions, while driving at various speeds, the steering wheel failed to respond as intended. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that an unknown part needed to be replaced due to the power steering failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 85,000.
WHILE DRIVING OR STATIONARY, THE POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILS AND DEFAULTS TO MANUAL STEERING. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON CITY ROADS, HIGHWAYS, AND STATIONARY. THE STEERING WHEEL WILL ACTUALLY SNAP BACK WHILE HOLDING IT STEERING. THE AIR CONDITIONER FAILS TO WORK WHEN THIS HAPPENS AS WELL. THIS HAS PERIODICALLY BEEN HAPPENING EVEN THOUGH THE DATE LISTED IS TODAY. FORD WAS CONTACTED AND ADVISED MY VEHICLE WASN'T MANUFACTURED AT THE SPECIFIC PLANT SO IT SHOULDN'T HAVE ANY ISSUES (EVEN THOUGH IT'S EXPERIENCING THE EXACT ISSUES AS THE RECALL) AND RECOMMENDED I TAKE IT TO A DEALERSHIP AND PAY $1500+ OUT OF POCKET TO CORRECT THE ISSUE.
STARTER STUCK WAS STILL RUNNING AFTER TURNING CAR OFF AND REMOVED KEY I REPLACED MY STARTER TO FIND THAT THE IGNITION SWITCH WENT OUT NOW MY CAR WON'T START THE CAR WAS PARKED WHEN THIS HAPPENED NOT RUNNING
ABS, PARKING BRAKE, AND ANTI-SKID LIGHTS ALL ON. THE REPAIR SHOP SAYS THE ABS MODUL NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.
ELECTRIC POWER STEERING FAILURE...POWER STEERING WILL FAIL AT ANY GIVEN TIME WHILE DRIVING...ONLY WAY TO RESET IS TO DISCONNECT NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL FOR A FEW MINUTES...THIS FIX IS ONLY TEMPORARY...IF IT HAPPENS WHILE TURNING IT IS VERY VERY DIFFICULT TO BRING BACK TO CENTER...THERE IS A FORD RECALL ON THE MODEL YEAR OF MY FOED ESCAPE...THIS FORD WAS MADE AT THE SAME PLANT AS THE AFFECTED VIN #S...KANSAS CITY ASSEMBLY PLANT...AS I STATED , WHILE DRIVING ON A BUSY INTERSECTION , THE POWER STEERING FAILED TO OPERATE MAKING THE VEHICLE EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO DRIVE...I DONT SEE HOW FORD DOESN'T INCLUDE THIS CAR IN THEIR RECALL...THANK YOU
I ALWAYS HAVE TROUBLE WITH THE IGNITION I HAVE TO TRY MANY WAYS TO GET IT TO START THE KEY HAS TO BE TURNED CERTAIN WAYS AND IT IS A STRUGGLE EVERY TIME AND I HAVE IT TURNS THE STEERING WHEEL IT IS IN THE SHOP NOW BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE.. I HAVE HAD TROUBLE EVER SINCE I HAVE HAD IT I CANNOT JUST PUT THE KEY IN AND START IT I HAVE TO PLAY WIHT IT EVERY TIME
THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE POWER STEERING TORQUE AND I DID PURCHASE THE VEHICLE UNTIL 2016. I AM NOW HAVING STEERING ISSUE WHERE MY STEERING WHEEL IS LOCKING UP. ITHIS IS MY 2ND TIME ISSUE AN COMPLAINT. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR OVER 6 MONTHS AND HAS GOTTEN WORST. I SPOKE WITH FORD THIS WEEK AND WAS ADVISE THEY COULD NOT HELP BECAUSE THE RECALL DOES NOT EXIST ANYMORE. I WIIL HAVE TO GET IT FIX MYSELF AND FILE A CLAIM WITH CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. THIS ISSUE SHOULD BE CORRECTED BY FORD DEALERSHIP FREE OF CHARGE. I SEE THERE ARE SEVERAL COMPLAINTS REGARDING THE SAME ISSUE. WHY WAS THIS VEHICLE NOT FIXED IN THE RECALL. SHOULD I CONSULT WITH MY ATTORNEY ABOUT THIS MATTER? THANK GOD I HAVENT SUFFER ANY MAJOR ACCIDENT SO FAR SINCE THE WHEEL HAS BEEN LOCKING UP🙁
The steering has a recall but not for my particular vehicle. The power steering will stop working occasionally. It is the electronic steering. It has only occurred when starting the vehicle. I have not brought it in to the dealer. It does not produce a warning lamp. As long as it does not occur when driving, it is safe. I feel that it should be included in the current recall that is for some of the vehicles.

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 192,200.

ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE WAS CONTACTED AND TOWED THE VEHICLE TO GREENWAY FORD (9001 E COLONIAL DR, ORLANDO, FL 32817, (888) 984-4895) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE POWER STEERING MODULE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE HOWEVER, OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 175,000.
TOOK MY VEHICLE TO FORD AND ANOTHER LOCAL GARAGE FOR ISSUES WITH THE BRAKES NOT STOPPING THE VEHICLE PROPERLY (SOFT PEDAL AND LONGER DISTANCE TO STOP). AFTER REPLACING ALL THE MECHANICAL PARTS THE ISSUE PERSISTED. FORD COULDN'T FIND THE ISSUE, BUT THE OTHER GARAGE THINKS IT'S THE ABS MODULE. NO FAULT CODES OR ANYTHING TO BACK THIS UP. NOT SURE HOW TO TEST IT AND IT'S NOT WORTH THE VEHICLE VALUE TO REPLACE IT. FOR NOW THE CAR IS PARKED. I THINK FORD KNOWS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND NEEDS TO ISSUE A RECALL.
MY POWER STEERING KEEPS GOING OUT WHEN I AM DRIVING AND MY CAR WAS RECALLED FOR IT BUT THEY NEVER REPLACED IT AND THEY SAID THEY SCANNED IT AND NOTHING WAS WRONG BUT NOW IT'S ACTING UP AND FORD WON'T FIX IT.. IT WAS RECALLED FOR THIS.. I BELIEVE THEY SHOULD FIX IT I HAVE ALMOST WRECKED TWICE..AND WHEN I START IT UP AND IT DON'T WANT TO WORK DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO STEER?
Out of the blue as I was driving the power steering randomly stopped working, jerking me to the side. I have to manually turn it now and have no idea what went wrong. I believe this is the same safety recall issue you sent notices out for but for some reason my vin number is not listed and I think this is a error on your part.
COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER STEERING. NO INDICATION ON DASH. NO CEL. RESTORES WHEN RESTARTING SEVERAL TIMES.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,000.
THE POWER STEERING FAILED WHILE DRIVING HOME. I ALMOST HAD AN ACCIDENT SINCE I WASN'T EXPECTING THE MALFUNCTION. FORTUNATELY I WAS GOING SLOW AND WAS ABLE TO CONTROL THE CAR'S SUDDEN STIFF WHEEL.
Fuel tank leaks from seam or seal on side of tank
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT BECAME AWARE OF A FUEL LEAK UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE LEAK CAME FROM THE SEAM OF THE FUEL TANK. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 105,000.
FAULTY ABS MODULE. THE BRAKE PEDAL GOES ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR WITHOUT ENGAGING THE BRAKES. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION.
WHILE DRIVING THE STEERING WHEEL WILL LOCK UP AND THEN THE CAR LOSE POWER AND SHUTS OFF
RUST CAUSED FAILURE OF SUB FRAME. EXCESSIVE RUSTING OF REAR FRAME, SHOCK MOUNTS AND DRIVE TRAIN. VEHICLE WAS NEVER SUBMERGED AND HAD 64,692 MILES. *TR
BRAKE PEDAL GOES TO THE FLOOR AFTER VEHICLE BRAKES APPLIED DURING A SEMI HARD STOP, PEOPLE HAVE REPORTED THIS ISSUE MANY TIMES AND FOUND THE ISSUE TO BE THE ABS CONTROL MODULE. THIS IS A BIG SAFETY ISSUE AND NEEDS TO HAVE A RECALL TO REPAIR BEFORE SOME IS KILLED OR INJURED. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY A RECALL HAS NOT BEEN ISSUED SO FAR AS COMPLAINTS GO BACK SEVERAL YEARS FOR THIS SAME ISSUE. PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS BEFORE SOMEONE IS HURT OR KILLED. I HAVE SEEN IN MANY POST THAT IT IS ABOUT A 2000.00 PLUS REPAIR. I AM A SENIOR CITIZEN AND LIVE ON A FIXED BUDGET. I BOUGHT IT FROM ANOTHER PARTY AND IT HAS 92000 MILES ON IT. THIS ISSUE HAS HAPPENED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS LAST TIME ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO. THIS NEEDS TO BE RECALLED PLEASE, FOR SAFETY SAKE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND WAS INFORMED THAT POWER STEERING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V284000 (STEERING) IN 2012. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 143,000. *BF*AS

THE CONTACT CALLED LOCAL DEALER DORIAN FORD (35900 GRATIOT AVE, CLINTON TWP, MI 48035: (586) 792-4100) AND MADE THE DEALER AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V284000 (STEERING) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 150,000.
I bought my Ford Escape Limited, 4 wheel-drive SUV in August, 2009 from a dealer in Baltimore County, Maryland. Later I retired from the Maryland Highway Administration and moved to Augusta, GA in February, 2015. In mid 2020 I saw the ABS light showing the my vehicle needed a repair to the ABS system. When I took the vehicle to my friendly mechanic shop, he told me that the ABS Module was defective and that he could not fix it. Since then I have been having a serious safety problem with the ABS Module which makes driving my vehicle very risky, especially when it is raining. The risk is felt whenever I am driving and need to stop at the red light or when another vehicle suddenly comes close to my vehicle which requires a quick decision to avoid accident using the ABS system that was designed for that purpose. In that case, I had difficulties stop and my vehicle will often pull to the left even with new brake pads on. That poses a serious safety threat. But as auto makers, the Ford Company know or should know that nearly all Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner vehicles are assumed to have ABS Module and other defects. Sadly, the Ford Company neglected to notify me of the recall. The defects in the ABS Module of my SUV pose a serious safety risk to me; so, that is very concerning to me. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. DRIVING DOWN A HILL, MY BRAKE PEDAL STARTED DEPRESSING TO THE FLOOR WITH A DELAYED STOP ON APRIL 27, 2020. NO PUMP OR PRESSURE. THE FRONT BRAKES WERE REPLACED RECENTLY (A MONTH AGO) AND THE ROTORS HAVE BEEN RESURFACED. THE BRAKE PEDAL NOW GOES ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR, AND THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS IN REGULAR DRIVING CONDITIONS AND DEALING WITH UNEXPECTED STOPS OR ROAD CONDITIONS. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE CAR SHOP AND THEY FIGURED THE MASTER CYLINDER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. UPON TESTING THE CAR OUT, THE SAME SPONGY BRAKE FEEL AND BRAKE PEDAL DEPRESSION TO THE FLOOR SYMPTOMS REMAINED. THE CAR SHOP INFORMED ME THAT THEY'D HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE FORD DEALERSHIP FOR THE PART AND REPAIR OF THE ABS, WHICH WOULD COST AROUND $2,100. THIS IS A DEFINITE SAFETY ISSUE. THIS NEEDS TO BE A RECALL.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE POWER STEERING CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPROGRAMMED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V284000 (STEERING) AS A POSSIBLE SOULTION FOR THE FAILURE HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 235.

POWER STEERING WOULD GO IN AND OUT. THE STEERING WHEEL WAS HARD TO TURN WHEN TRYING TO TURN
Back in 2018 I had another incident which was when I was driving down the highway and had to make a turn I had no power steering and almost hit a police car. My car should be included with a recall I read about. That repair cost me $700. Since 2023 when I start my car I won't have any power steering. The Ford dealership is telling me it is another censor and will cost me $2,500. This is a dangerous thing.

I GOT IN MY CAR TO DRIVE MID MARCH 2020 AND WHEN I TURNED THE KEY THE CAR STARTED BUT MY STEERING WHEEL WAS STUCK AND WOULDN'T TURN! I WAS SHOCKED AND TRIED IT AGAIN BUT STILL THE SAME ISSUE. I LOOK UP THE PROBLEM FOR THE YEAR OF MY TRUCK A 2009 FORD ESCAPE HYBRID AND FOUND THEY HAD A RECALL FOR THIS SAME PROBLEM FROM 2008 TO 2012 VEHICLES, SO ALL I WANT IS MY TRUCK FIXED AT A DEALERSHIP. I CALLED THE FORD CORPORATION RECALL NUMBER AND THEY SAID MY VEHICLE DIDN'T QUALIFY I WAS WONDERING WHY AS THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM YOU CAN GET IN A CAR CRASH AND DIE I HAVE A 10 YEAR OLD SON AND I AM DISABLED I NEED MY TRUCK TO WORK.
Fuel inlet light constantly alerting. Known issue, have read thousands of owners having issue with this, installed gas cap didnt fix, cleaned the area didnt fix, only option left is to replace the inlet. If its a known problem due to faulty equipment should be recalled
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE LAST JANUARY OF 2019 AND A FEW MONTHS INTO OWNERSHIP I NOTICED THE STEERING WOULD BECOME DIFFICULT TO USE. I STOPPED AT A STORE ONE DAY TO PUT POWER STEERING FLUID IN IT, TO LATER FIND OUT THAT THIS CAR DOES NOT TAKE FLUID BUT IS COMPUTERIZED. I STARTED TO LOOK UP KNOWN ISSUES WITH A 2009 FORD ESCAPE AND FOUND OUT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE POWER STEERING. THE DEALER NEVER TOLD ME THIS, OR I WOULDN'T HAVE BOUGHT THIS CAR. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO, BUT IT'S DEFINITELY PUT A BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH ABOUT BUYING FORDS IN THE FUTURE. I'M SEEING SO MANY OTHER CUSTOMERS SAYING THE SAME THING, THAT FORD WON'T TAKE CARE OF THIS ISSUE. IT'S HAPPENED TO ME SEVERAL TIMES, IT WORKS AND THEN OUT THE BLUE THE POWER STEERING SHUTS OFF.
