TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD ESCAPE. WHEN THE CONTACT SHIFTED INTO DRIVE AND RELEASED THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE DROVE IN REVERSE. THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND APPLIED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, THE GEAR SHIFT INDICATOR SHOWED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS IN REVERSE; HOWEVER, THE GEAR SHIFT WAS IN DRIVE. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE CABLE CONNECTED TO THE TRANSMISSION LEVER TO THE GEARS WAS NOT CONNECTED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE TRANSMISSION LEVER WAS MOVED MANUALLY IN ORDER TO PLACE THE VEHICLE IN THE CORRECT GEAR AND OPERATE IT CORRECTLY. THE CONTACT CALLED WINNER FORD (591 S DUPONT HWY, DOVER, DE 19901, (302) 877-2489) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V471000 (POWER TRAIN). THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,000.
VEHICLE HAS HAD FREQUENT "ENGINE STALLS," WHERE THERE IS HESITATION AND STUMBLING WITH THE RPMS MOVING FROM 1-6 SPORADICALLY. FREQUENT POWER LOSS WITH ENGINE, AND WHILE DRIVING ON THE NYS THRUWAY, ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT WHEN VEHICLE ENGINE LIGHT BEGAN TO FLASH WITH MAJOR POWER LOSS. AFTER THIS OCCURRED, IT WAS WAS FOUND BY THE LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP TO REQUIRE AN ENGINE REPLACEMENT. THIS VEHICLE IS A 2013 FORD ESCAPE AND HAD 56,000 MILES ON IT WHEN THIS OCCURRED. *LN
ENGINE STALLS WHEN IN LOW OR IDLE WHEN ENGINE IS WARM. DOES T EVERY TIME I COME BACK OUT TO MY VEHICLE AFTER GOING SOMEWHERE.
I HAVE TAKEN MY VEHICLE TO SHEEHY FORD ASHLAND SEVERAL TIMES IN REGARDS TO IT LOSING COOLANT BUT THEY CANNOT FIND A PROBLEM BUT NOW MY CAR WILL NOT START. I'VE RESEARCHED MY VEHICLE AND APPARENTLY THAT IS AN ONGOING ISSUE FOR 2013 FORD ESCAPES.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO PROVIDED A PRESSURE TEST, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO HALL FORD NEWPORT NEWS (12896 JEFFERSON AVE, NEWPORT NEWS, VA 23608, (877) 398-2216) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A PRESSURE TEST AND ENGINE WERE NEEDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: CAS24815719, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS SIMILAR TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 12V431000 AND 12V551000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
THE TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE WORE DOWN AND BROKE OFF SEVERAL FORD ESCAPES ARE ALREADY RECALLED FOR THIS BUT MINE IS NOT ON THE LIST. MY VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WHEN THIS HAPPENED ON A CITY STREET AND WOULD NOT CONTINUE TO MOVE I HAVE 2 SMALL CHILDREN AND I AM PREGNANT THIS WAS A VERY UNSAFE SITUATION

"TAKATA RECALL" THE CAR WILL STALL WHILE IM DRIVING AND THE DASH WINDOW WILL STATE FAULTY ENGINE. THE CAR IS ABLE TO TURN OFF AND IM ABLE TO TURN IT BACK ON.
I HAVE TAKEN MY VEHICLE IN MULTIPLE TIMES TO A DEALER AND OTHER MECHANICS TO HAVE PARTS REPLACED. THE ENGINE SEEMS TO HAVE AN ISSUE DESPITE HAVING NO LEAK OF OVERHEATING DESPITE HAVING REPLACED NEARLY EVERY PART IN THE VEHICLE. THIS IS THE SECOND VERSION OF THIS MODEL I AM ON WITH THE SAME ISSUE FOR A FORD ESCAPE. THE ENGINE HAS NOW OVERHEATED AND REQUIRED AROUND 1-3K IN REPAIRS (FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL TIME) FOR THE 9TH TIME IN UNDER A YEAR.
THIS VEHICHLE HAS HAD MULTIPLE PROBLEMS, SWAY BAR REPLACEMENTS X3, I HAVE TO HAVE IT DONE AGAIN, LOST POWER WHILE DRIVING, VEHICLE WOULD LITERALLY STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD ALMOST CAUSING ME TO BE HIT A FEW TIMES, FORD TOOK CARE OF THAT, NOW I HAVE A GAS LEAK IN THE LINE SOMEWHERE, ENGINE LIGHT ON, GAS FUMES SO BAD HAVE TO DRIVE WITH MY WINDOWS OPEN, NO LEAKING ANYWHERE. THIS VEHICLE HAS A LARGE AMOUNT OF RUST INSIDE THE DOORS AND THE CAMERA DOES NOT WORK ALL THE TIME. I HAVE HAD A FEW FORDS, VIA LEASE, I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM AND WAS NEVER AFRAID TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE. THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD MULTIPLE PROBLEMS. I ALMOST FEEL LIKE IT WAS NOT CHECKED PROPERLY. I NOW HAVE TO TAKE THIS VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AGAIN TOMORROW , LAST TIME THEY TOLD ME THE WRONG THING WAS WRONG, HAD I NOT GOTTEN A SECOND OPINON I WOULD HAVE PAID FOR THE WRONG REPAIR, I THEN BROUGHT I BACK INTO THEM AND FELT LIKE I HAD TO DEMAND THE REPAIR, AFTER THEY LOOKED AT MY VEHICLE THAT TIME THEY FOUND THE SAME THING WRONG THAT I ALREADY KNEW. I DID FILL OUT MY SURVEY WITH FORD AND THEY DID COVER THE PROBLEMS. THERE IS NOTHING LEAKING ANYWHERE UNDER THE VEHICLE SO FROM MY RESEARCH I AM ASSUMING IT IS SOMEWHERE IN THE LINES, HOPEFULLY I WONT BLOW UP . I AM JUST UNSURE IF IT IS JUST MY TRUCK OR OTHER FORD ESCAPES HAVE THIS PROBLEM AND NOTHING IS BEING DONE ABOUT IT. THANK YOU
VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN IN MULTIPLE TIMES TO EVACUATE AND REPAIR AC COMPRESSOR LINE. EACH TIME, THE LINE BREAKS IN EXACT SAME SPOT. HAS BEEN TAKEN IN TWICE TO FORD DEALER, 3 TIMES TO A MIDAS, AND 4 TIMES TO A LOCAL MECHANIC. LINE HAS BROKEN SAME PLACE EVERY SHOP. AUDIBLE HISSING AND SLIGHT VEHICLE SHAKING OCCURS WHEN LINE SNAPS. LEAKS THE GAS OUT INTO ENGINE WHEN THIS HAPPENS.

WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS UNDERGOING A TIRE ROTATION AT MAGIC CITY FORD LINCOLN (LOCATED AT 809 WILLIAMSON RD NE, ROANOKE, VA 24016, (540) 345-0911), THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE LUG NUTS HAD EXPANDED DUE TO THE HEAT AND WERE UNABLE TO BE REMOVED. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT THE LUG NUTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE LUG NUTS WERE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,894.
STEERING ASSIST FAULTY WHEN VEHICLE IS FIRST STARTED THEN GOES OUT. HAS FONE THIS 3 DIFFERENT TIMES.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION OPERATING ERRATICALLY AND ENGINE SHUTTING OFF GOING DOWN HIGHWAY. ALSO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON.

THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THOROUGHBRED FORD (8501 N BOARDWALK AVENUE, KANSAS CITY, MO 64154, 816-505-1818) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CYLINDER WAS CRACKED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 126,950.
MY CAR STALLS OUT OF NO WHERE WHEN I'M DRIVING. IT HAS HAPPENED IN THE FREEWAY AND THE STREET. AT LOW SPEEDS AND HIGH SPEEDS. IT SOMETIMES GIVES A FLASHING CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND SOMETIMES IT GOES AWAY ON IT'S ON WITH NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THE VEHICLE ALSO LEAKS OR USES TOO MUCH COOLANT. DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY, STARTED TO ACCELERATE IN SPORT MODE, HEARD SOMETHING POP. SOUNDED LIKE THE CLUTCH SLIPPED OR A BELT BROKE. LOST MOST ACCELERATION. GOT OFF FREEWAY TO TAKE SIDE STREETS HOME. HAD A LOT OF TROUBLE ACCELERATING UP HILL. WOULD ACCELERATE BUT VERY SLOWLY. NOT ON PACE WITH GEARS. WAS SHIFTING WEIRD. BOTH IN D AND S. TOOK ME ABOUT 4 BLOCKS TO GET FROM 0 TO 25MPH.
IN MOTION CAR STOPPING THEN STARTING AGAIN IN HIGHER GEAR .MOVE VERY SLOW .CALL DEALER DROVE IT OVER THERE.LEFT IT THERE.WHEN CHECKOUT CALL SAID WAS TRANSMISSION.CAR 69002 MILES .THOUGHT IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY.THOUGHT 100.000 MILES THEY SAID NO 5YRS OR 100.000MILES.CAR SHOULD NOT WANT .FIRST SECOND THIRD GEAR WANT.HAD IT FIT BY OWN MECHANIC FORD QUOTED $7000.00 DOLLARS DID NOT HAVE THAT ABOUT OF MONEY.CALL MY MECHANIC HE TOE IT TO HIS GARAGE FIX IT FOR 3300.00 DOLLARS.WROTE A LETTER SENDING IT TO FORD CORPORATE OFFICE.WHAT HAPPENED ON THE TRANSMISSION.WAS A DEFAULT ON FIRST ,SECOND,AND GEAR. PURCHASED THE VEHICLE USED IN DEC 2018. FOR APPROXIMATELY THE LAST 4 MONTHS HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH STALLING AFTER CAR IS WARM. CAR WILL START BACK UP AND MOVE FORWARD A LITTLE BIT AND THEN WILL STALL. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DID COME ON TWICE AND CODES WERE READ. SO FAR GOING BY CODES WE HAVE CHANGED EVAP VALVE AND THE DUCT ON THE TOP OF MOTOR. NEITHER PART HAS MADE A DIFFERENCE IN THE STALLING ISSUE. HAVE HAD A FEW TIMES THAT IT HAS STALLED PULLING ONTO A MAIN ROAD AND HAD TO PRAY TO GET IT ON THE SIDE OF ROAD TO AVOID BEING HIT. I HAVE NOTICED MANY OTHER OWNERS OF THE VEHICLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AND STILL HAVE NO ANSWERS AS TO THE PROBLEM. I'M HOPING SOMETHING IS DONE SOON AS IT SEEMS TO BE GETTING WORSE. YESTERDAY IT STALLED 3 TIMES IN A ROW AFTER PULLING ONTO A ROAD FROM DRIVEWAY BEFORE IT WOULD STAY RUNNING. IT'S NOT SAFE TO HAVE A VEHICLE DRIVE LIKE THIS!
I HAVE A 2013 FORD ESCAPE 1.6L ECOBOOST THAT STALLS REGULARLY WHILE DRIVING. YESTERDAY IT STALLED 5 TIMES WHILE MY WIFE WAS DRIVING. IT ALSO WILL NOT START AFTER GETTING FUEL. IT TAKES SEVERAL MINUTES OF SITTING AND CRANKING THE ENGINE TO START. DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU PUT IN 1 GALLON OR 12 GALLONS IT DOESN'T START RIGHT AWAY. I ENTERED THE VIN# INTO THE RECALL DATABASE AND IT ONLY SHOWED TWO RECALLS OUTSTANDING. BOTH WERE UNRELATED TO MECHANICAL ISSUES. VERY UNSAFE VEHICLE AND WILL BE DIFFICULT TO TRADE IN SINCE IT STALLS ALL THE TIME.
RANDOM POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULTS. THIS CAUSES THE POWER STEERING TO FAIL AT SPEED MAKING THE CAR EXCEPTIONALLY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL, POSSIBLY CAUSING A CRASH. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THE CAR AS THIS CAN HAPPEN AT ANY TIME.
CONTINUED LEAK OF ANTIFREEZE NOW SYSTEM HAS DRAINED EMPTY
SMELL OF GAS AND TOWED TO REPAIR, A LEAKING GAS LINE WAS DETECTED. WAS TOLD THAT CAR WAS NOT PART OF ANY RECALL DESPITE OTHER REPORTED SIMILAR INCIDENTS WITH THIS MAKE AND MODEL. REPAIR BILL IS IN THE CUSTOMER MOTHER'S NAME.
MY 2013 FORD ESCAPE SE 1.6L CAUGHT FIRE IN MOTION DUE TO A FUEL LEAK ON A CITY STREET. BRAKES FAILED AND EMERGENCY BRAKE WAS USED TO STOP AND GET OUT AS SMOKE AND FLAMES CAME THROUGH THE VENTS.

LEAKING COOLANT EVAPORATES ON THE HOT ENGINE, THE GLYCOL MAY IGNITE CAUSING A ENGINE COMPARTMENT FIRE. COOLANT EVAPORATED OVER FOUR DAYS TIME, THIS COULD HAPPEN WHILE STATIONARY, IN MOTION OR ON HIGHWAY. LIGHT CAME ON TO WARN ME. HAVE BROUGHT THIS FOUR TIMES TO MECHANICS, YESTERDAY BEING THE FIFTH TIME TO FORD DEALERSHIP, WHERE THEY TOLD ME NO RECALLS ON THIS VEHICLE BUT THE ISSUE HAD BEEN FIXED PREVIOUSLY TO ME OWNING IT. OBVIOUSLY THERE ARE MANY ISSUES WITH THE 2013 FORD ESCAPES. NOW I'M PAYING OUT OVER 500.00 NOT INCLUDING A DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. I'M VERY UPSET OVER THIS ISSUE BECAUSE HONESTLY THE ISSUE WASN'T FIXED AND THEY REFUSE TO PAY FOR IT. PEOPLE DON'T PURCHASE VEHICLES TO BE IN THE SHOP CONSTANTLY..
VEHICLE IN MOTION, HIGHWAY AND CITY SPEEDS, ENGINE IS HESITATING AND STALLING WHEN ACCELERATING. 2013 TURBO FORD ESCAPE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD ESCAPE. AFTER BACKING UP THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT WAS NOT ABLE TO SHIFT THE GEAR INTO DRIVE OR ANY OTHER GEAR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE UNKNOWN RECALL REGARDING THE BUSHINGS. HEMPSTEAD FORD LINCOLN (301 N FRANKLIN ST, HEMPSTEAD, NY 11550, (516) 483-7200) WAS IN THE PROCESS OF COMPLETING THE REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DISCLOSED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,000.
CAR WILL REV. HIGH AND THEN SHUT OFF.
AT 132,000 MILES, WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE, THE ENGINE BEGAN GIVING A CODE FOR ENGINE COOLANT LOW AND ENGINE OVERHEATING. AFTER ADDING AN AMOUNT OF COOLANT, THE WARNING WOULD GO AWAY. NO LEAKS WERE FOUND, AND NO INFORMATION WAS PROVIDED WHEN ASKED OF THE DEALER. NOW AT 154,000 MILES THE ENGINE HAS A SEVERE OIL LEAK COMING FROM SOMEWHERE NEAR THE MIDDLE OF THE ENGINE. THE OIL SPRAYS ALL OVER THE ENGINE BLOCK AND INSIDE THE ENGINE WELL. FORD DOES NOT ASSOCIATE ANY ISSUE WITH THE VIN. *TR
MID-DAY, 91 DEGREES. CAR SHUDDERED REVERSING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY. NO PREVIOUS PROBLEMS. I WAITED AND CAR IDLED WELL. I LEFT THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND TURNED LEFT INTO TRAFFIC ON A FIVE-LANE ROAD. I LOST ACCELERATION MERGING FROM THE CENTER TURNING LANE. THE VEHICLE REVVED, GETTING FUEL, BUT THERE WAS NO FORWARD MOVEMENT, NO SHUDDERING, NOTHING. I MOVED THE VEHICLE INTO "SPORT" MODE, IN CASE I HAD BUMPED THE SELECTOR, BUT IT MADE NO DIFFERENCE. TRAFFIC HONKED AND SWERVED AROUND ME. I WAS ABLE TO GET INTO THE RIGHT LANE WITH MY HAZARD LIGHTS ON. MY CAR SHUDDERED OFF, COMPLETELY AND I LOST POWER STEERING JUST AS I COMPLETED THE MANEUVER. I RESTARTED MY VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE SHUDDERED TO A SIDE-STREET, WHERE I IDLED FOR FIVE MINUTES AND CALLED FOR ASSISTANCE. ASSISTANCE WAS GOING TO TAKE A LONG TIME AND I SUFFER FROM A MEDICAL CONDITION THAT MAKES ME FRAGILE IN THE HEAT. I TESTED THE VEHICLE ON THE SIDE STREETS AND IT PERFORMED. I WAS ABLE TO GET THE VEHICLE HOME SLOWLY.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V471000 (POWER TRAIN). THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 109,000.
WAS FOOD SHOPPING AND WHEN FINISHED I GOT IN MY CAR AND STARTED IT UP. GOT A MESSAGE THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE STEERING ASSIST. I COULD NOT TURN MY WHEEL SO I SHUT OFF MY CAR. WAITED FOR SOMEONE TO PICK ME UP. I STARTED MY CAR TO PUT THE A/C ON AS I WAS WAITING TO KEEP THE FOOD I JUST BOUGHT FROM GETTING WARM. THE STEERING THEN WAS FINE BUT EVERY TIME I GET IN MY CAR I WORRY THAT IT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I AM DRIVING. CALLED FORD 800-392-3673 AND I WAS TOLD THERE IS A CSP# 14N02 CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PCM AND I SHOULD TELL FORD TO FIX THIS ISSUE DATED 8/26/2014. IT IS COVERED UNDER 10 YR/150K MI. I HAVE CONTACTED MY LOCAL FORD AND THEY TELL ME THERE IS NO RECALL. I AM NOT LETTING UP ON THIS. THERE ARE OVER 100 COMPLAINTS ON THIS WEBSITE JUST LIKE MINE AND FORD NEEDS TO ADDRESS IT.
WHEN I START MY CAR, ABOUT 1 OUT OF 10 TIMES IT WILL START BUT GIVE ME AN ALERT THAT IT NEEDS SERVICES AND WILL JUMP AND STUTTER WHILE DRIVING. FORD REPORTED IT WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE OXYGEN INTAKE AND ALTITUDE AND REPORTED THEY FIXED IT BUT IT IS STILL DOING IT. THIS IS ONLY RIGHT AFTER I START IT. IF I TURN IT OFF AND RESTART WILL IS FINE. NOW IS HAS ALSO STARTED STALLING WHILE DRIVING. AGAIN IF I TURN IT OFF AND RESTART IT IT DRIVES FINE. I WILL BE CALLING FORD BACK TOMORROW TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT.
WE WERE CAMPING FAR IN THE COUNTRY. NO CELL SERVICE OR SIGNAL. WE LOADED UP OUR CAR WITH OUR GEAR TO HEAD BACK TO TOWN. BACKED OUT OF THE PARKING SPACE THEN MOVED SHIFTER TO DRIVE FORWARD. NOTHING HAPPENED OTHER THAN THE VEHICLE DRIFTING FORWARD DUE TO THE INCLINE. NOW NO REVERSE OR DRIVE. WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO GET IT TO REGISTER PARK IN ORDER TO GET KEY OUT. PUT PARKING BRAKE ON AND HIKED UNTIL WE RECEIVED SERVICE TO CALL FOR A TOW. TOW DRIVER CONNECTED SHIFTER CABLE TO BUSHING AND WE WERE FINE TO DRIVE OURSELVES DIRECTLY TO REPAIR SHOP IF WE PARK USING E-BRAKE. OUR REPAIR GUY LOOKED AT IT AND TOLD US IT WAS A RECALL ITEM UNDER #18S20. CALLED FORD DEALERSHIP, WHO RAN VIN NUMBER, AND THEY SAID IT ISN'T INCLUDED ON THAT RECALL. IT IS STILL CURRENTLY AT OUR MECHANIC BEING WORKED ON.

I WAS DRIVING MY FAMILY FROM HOUSTON, TX TO SAN ANTONIO,TX ON JULY 5TH 2019 FOR THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND IN MY 2013 FORD ESCAPE SEL WITH THE 6F35 TRANSMISSION. WE WERE ABOUT 1 HOUR & 30 MINUTES INTO OUR TRIP, 108 MILES, FROM OUR HOME NEAR THE CITY OF FLATONIA, TX WHEN OUR TRANSMISSION HORRIFICALLY FAILED. WHILE I WAS DRIVING I NOTICED THE TRANSMISSION HAD A MADE A HARD SHIFT INTO 6TH GEAR. IT HAD JUMPED A COUPLE OF TIMES UNTIL I ACCELERATED AND THEN IT FINALLY SHIFTED INTO 6TH GEAR. THE NEXT SIGN OF TROUBLE WAS WHEN THE DASH SCREEN TOLD US THE LANE CHANGE SENSOR WAS FAILING. NEXT WE STARTED NOTICING A FAINT BURNING SMELL COMING INTO THE CABIN, WE WEREN'T SURE WHAT IT WAS. A MINUTE LATER ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS TURNED ON IN THE DASH SCREEN. I IMMEDIATELY PUT ON MY TURN SIGNAL SO I COULD GET TO AN EXIT AND WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE OUT OF THE WAY OF TRAFFIC, I REALIZED MY FORD ESCAPE WAS NOT RESPONDING TO THE ACCELERATION PEDAL. IT WOULD NOT ACCELERATE AT ALL. SO NOW I COULDN'T SHIFT AND MY GAS PEDAL WAS NOT FUNCTIONING. I FINALLY REACHED THE NEAREST EXIT TURNED ON MY HAZARD LIGHTS AND PROCEEDED TO COAST INTO THE NEAREST GAS STATION SINCE MY GAS PEDAL WAS NOT FUNCTIONING. AS SOON AS I STOPPED & TURNED OFF MY SUV, WHITE SMOKE WAS COMING FROM THE ENGINE BAY. I QUICKLY GOT MY WIFE AND 1 YR OLD DAUGHTER OUT OF THE SUV AND RAN AWAY FROM THE VEHICLE. THANKFULLY THE SMOKE STOPPED AND I OPENED THE HOOD AND SAW TRANSMISSION OIL ALL OVER THE TOP OF THE TRANSMISSION. IT WAS SO HOT IT WAS BOILING IN THE CREVICES WHERE IT HAD SETTLED. THIS TRANSMISSION IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE "A SPECIAL BLEND OF TRANSMISSION FLUID MAINTENANCE FREE FOR THE LIFE OF THE GEARBOX." A COUPLE DAYS PRIOR THE TRANSMISSION WOULD JUMP ERRATICALLY WHEN SHIFTING FROM 2-3 GEAR AND FROM 5-6 GEAR EVEN THOUGH IT WAS AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION.BUT I HAD TAKEN IT TO A FORD DEALER AND THEY DIDN'T HELP AT ALL.
MY CAR KEEPS STALLING. IT ALL STARTED AFTER ONE RANDOM DRIVE OF CAR SITTING ALL NIGHT, ALL OF A SUDDEN MY TEMPERATURE GAUGE WENT SKYROCKETING AND MY CAR STARTED SMOKING. AND NEEDED COOLANT WHICH WAS FINE JUST BEFORE ALL OF THAT HAPPEN. AFTER THAT IT WILL JUST RANDOMLY STALL, THE OIL PRESSURE LIGHT WILL COME ON AND THEN MY BATTERY LIGHT. MY OIL LIKE ON MY DIPSTICK IS SKYROCKETING EVEN AFTER LETTING YOUR CAR SIT. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE I DRIVE TO COLLEGE EVERYDAY AS WELL AS TAKING MY SON TO SCHOOL EVERYDAY I CANNOT HAVE A CAR WHERE THE ENGINE CATCHES ON FIRE OR I KEEP STALLING OUT AND THEN I'M 20 30 MINUTES LATE TO CLASS
WE WAS ON A CITY STREET TURNING AT A STOPLIGHT AND GOT STUCK AND VEHICLE WOULDN'T MOVE. HAD TO ACCELERATE TO 5,000 RPMS TO GET IT TO MOVE AND IT SLAMMED INTO 2ND GEAR. ALMOST CAUSED 2 CAR ACCIDENTS WITH 2 DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS OF TRAFFIC. THERE WAS NO WARNING AT ALL. BAD TRANSMISSION NEEDS RECALLED
MY CAR CONSTANTLY STALLS. IT STALLED PERIODICALLY BUT I THOUGHT WELL MAYBE IT'S WAS BECAUSE OF HOW HOT IT WAS OUTSIDE. BUT THAT IT'S THE CASE. I CAN BE AT A LIGHT STOPPED, DRIVING DOWN THE STREET/EXPRESSWAY AND IT'LL START TO LOSE STUTTER AND STALL OUT WITH ONLY THE BATTERY LIGHT AND OIL LAMP LIGHT COMING ON. SOMETIMES ITLL START RIGHT BACK UP OTHERS IT HAS IT SIT AND COOL DOWN. EVEN THO MY ENGINE ISN'T READING HOT OR ANYTHING ALONG THOSE LINES. EVERYTHING READS FINE. I'VE TAKEN TO MULTIPLE SHOPS AND FINALLY JUST 5 DAYS AGO TO A FORD DEALER WHO HAD MY CAR FOR ALMOST 3 DAYS AND ALL HE COULD SAY IS IT LOOKS LIKE I COULD POSSIBLY HAVE A CRACKED WATER PUMP! THEY NEED TO DO SOMETHING FOR US WITH THE 1.6 IT SEEMS TO BE THE SAME EXACT THING GOING ON WITH THE 2.0. TODAY WHEN MY CAR STALLED MY OIL DIPSTICK WAS SMOKING

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE MANIFOLD GASKETS FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. SUNBURY MOTOR CO (943 N 4TH ST, SUNBURY, PA 17801, (888) 690-0756) WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT AN UNKNOWN RECALL WAS UPDATED IN JULY OF 2014. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 102,000.

WHILE DRIVING ON SATURDAY, JUNE 29, 2019, MY CAR SUDDENLY STARTED HESITATING WHEN CHANGING GEARS. THE LONGER I DROVE, THE MORE IT SHOOK, AND ACCELERATED BUT DID NOT GO INTO GEAR OR MOVE AT ALL. EVENTUALLY IT WENT INTO GEAR AND TOOK OFF. I MANAGED TO REACH MY DESTINATION AND LET IT SIT FOR A WHILE, THE HEADED HOME. THE LONGER I DROVE, ALL OF THE ABOVE HAPPENED AGAIN. I DROVE IT VERY SPARINGLY FOR THE NEXT WEEK UNTIL I WAS ABLE TO GET THE MONEY TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. IT IS CURRENTLY IN THE SHOP. TODAY I HAPPENED TO COME ACROSS THIS WEBSITE AND FOUND MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS FROM PEOPLE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEMS. IS ANYTHING BEING DONE TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE?
REFER TO ORIGINAL NHTSA RECALL 13V583. CURRENTLY CAR HAS 93,00 MILES AND THE #4 CYLINDER IS NOW LEAKING COOLANT AND OIL. THE CAR STUTTERS AND VIBRATES AT START UP. THE ISSUE HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED BY INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. REPAIR COST $3,200. THIS RECALL WAS ORIGINALLY CLEARED BY DAVID MCDAVID FORD, FT. WORTH IN 2014. I CONTACTED FORD TOLL FREE AND THEY DON'T FEEL LIABLE SINCE RECALL ISSUE WAS CLEARED IN 2014.
RADIO MADE A LONG BANGING SOUND ON OVATION FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS. THEN OCCASIONALLY THE RADIO WOULD MAKE LOUD CRACKLING AND POPPING. CAR WOULD NEED RESTARTED TO RESET. EVENTUALLY RADIO STOPPED WORKING AND CAR WOULD NEED RESTARTED, MIXED IN WITH CRACKLING AND POPPING ISSUES INTERMITTENTLY. NOW THE RADIO JUST WON'T WORK NO MATTER IF YOU RESTART THE CAR OR NOT. THE LOUD BANGING SOUND AND LOUD POPPING CAN STARRTLE A DRIVER. THE RADIO NOT WORKING SHOULD BE UNDER A RECALL, BUT CURRENTLY IS NOT. HAPPENS MOVING AND STATIONARY. HAS HAPPENED ON CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAY, ALL ISSUES.

I WAS BACKING INTO MY DRIVEWAY AND COMPLETELY LOST MY POWER STEERING.
THE ESCAPE HAS STALLED SEVERAL TIMES. FIRST TIME IT STALLED AND STOPPED WITH NO INDICATION OF ISSUE ON INTERSTATE. WE WERE ABLE TO GET IT MOVED TO PARKING LOT AFTER SEVERAL TIMES WAITING FOR IT TO START. HAD CAR TOWED TO MECHANIC. THE CAR NEVER STOPPED FOR HIM. WE PICKED IT AND DROVE IN THE MORNING TO CHURCH AND BACK WITH NO ISSUES. I DROVE IT IN AFTERNOON TEMP AROUND 85 DEGREES FOR ABOUT 3 MILES. CAR STOPPED RUNNING WITH NO INDICATION OF PROBLEM WHILE PULLING UP TO STOP LIGHT. AFTER ABOUT 2 MINUTES CAR RESTARTED AND QUIT RUNNING AGAIN LESS THEN 1/4 MILE WHILE TRYING TO GET OFF STREET.I TRIED REPLACING IGNITION RELAY AS NOTED BY SEVERAL WEBSITES BUT NO CHANGE. HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IS CAUSING THE UNSAFE SUDDEN STALLING. CAR GOING BACK TO MECHANIC. THIS IS A VERY UNSAFE PROBLEM.
