THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TOM WOOD FORD (LOCATED AT 3130 E 96TH ST, INDIANAPOLIS, IN 4624, (317) 846-4241) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT COOLANT FUEL NEEDED TO BE ADDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: CAS-21644009. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD ESCAPE. APPROXIMATELY THREE HOURS AFTER THE CONTACT PARKED THE VEHICLE, THE VEHICLE ALARM SOUNDED. THE CONTACT NOTICED FLAMES COMING FROM THE TOP OF THE HOOD AREA NEAR THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT. FLAMES WERE LATER SEEN COMING FROM THE DASHBOARD AREA INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED TO THE SCENE AND EXTINGUISHED THE FLAMES. A FIRE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 75,000.
SEAT BELT NO LONGER RETRACTS. I DON'T KNOW EXACT DATE BUT ITS BEEN A FEW WEEKS.
TRANSMISSION APPEAR TO HAVE A DELAY WHEN ATTEMPTING TO INCREASE SPEED. YOU PRESS THE GAS BUT THE CAR JUST SITS IN AN IDLE MODE AND AFTER A BIT IT CATCHES UP WITH ITSELF BUT MAKE A LOUD NOISE AND JOLTS THE CAR AGGRESSIVELY. THIS HAPPENS ON CITY STREET AND HIGHWAY WHEN I AM TRYING TO ACCELERATE.
ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO, THE RADIO AND IT'S COMPUTER SYSTEM STOPPED WORKING. WHILE THE DISPLAY WORKS, THE SYSTEM RESPONSIBLE FOR LAYING SOUND NO LONGER WORKS, AND THE TOUCH SCREEN IS RARELY RESPONSIVE.
AFTER AUTO PARKED OVERNIGHT ON 04/26/2019, IN HEATED GARAGE, NO POWER TO START ENGINE, NOR OPERATE LIGHTS, RADIO, ETC. IN THE NEXT MORNING. NO BATTERY TO POWER ANY EQUIPMENT. AAA SERVICE ATTENDANT JUMP STARTED AUTO. BATTERY TESTED 100% POWER AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES OF RUN TIME ON ENGINE. 2ND OCCURRENCE IN 12 MONTHS. I WAS TOLD THIS IS CALLED A "BRAIN FREEZE" AND IS NOT UNCOMMON FOR FORD PRODUCT. ORIGINAL BATTERY IN VEHICLE REPLACED 04/27/2019.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FAILED TO OPERATE PROPERLY, WHICH CAUSED THE GAUGES AND WARNING INDICATORS TO BECOME INOPERABLE. EBY FORD LINCOLN (2714 ELKHART RD, GOSHEN, IN 46526, (574) 534-3673) WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS THE SAME AS FORD RECALL NUMBER 15C03: (INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MAY BE INOPERATIVE/FMVSS); HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS EXCLUDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND ALSO INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EXCLUDED FROM THE MANUFACTURER RECALL CAMPAIGN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TL-THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE SAW A LEAK OF TRANSMISSION FLUID. THE DEALER MOTORCARS OF LANSING INC 6505 S PENNSYLVANIA AVE, LANSING, MI 48911 (888) 710-5507 STATED THAT THEY NEEDED TO PUT IN A NEW TRANSFER CASE SINCE THAT HE HAD A CRACKED CYLINDER FOR THE TRANSMISSION IN WHICH THE CONTACT PAID $400. WHILE THE DEALER WAS MAKING THOSE REPAIRS THEY NOTIFIED THE CONTACT THAT THERE A HOLE IN THE TRANSMISSION WHICH WOULD COST AN ADDITIONAL $3500. THE CONTACT HAD JUST PURCHASED THE USED VEHICLE 3 TO 5 MONTHS AGO. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE CONTACT HAD JUST GONE OVER THE WARRANTY. THE CONTACT HAD ASKED FOR A CAR FAX REPORT BEFORE HE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE BUT THE DEALER SAID THEY DID NOT HAVE ONE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 13,000. TF
AT 127,000 MILES THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND WE WERE TOLD THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. FORD WAS NOT WILLING TO WORK WITH US EVEN THOUGH WE HAD AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. NOW WE ARE TOLD THAT THE ENGINE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.
WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY 278 IN PA, VEHICLE EXPERIENCED LOSS OF POWER TO STEERING, I PULLED THE VEHICLE ROAD SIDE, TURNED OFF POWER , RESTARTED THE VEHICLE. STEERING WAS STILL STIFF COULD NOT MOVE IT FREELY. I HAVE CONTACTED NEAREST FORD DEALER.
AS MY WIFE IS DRIVING TO THE SCHOOL WHILE GOING IN A STRAIGHT LINE ON THE STATE ROAD IN OUR 2015 FORD ESCAPE THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THE FORD ESCAPE, IT IS VERY DANGEROUS... ONLINE SUGGEST YOU JUST TURN THE CAR OFF AND TURN IT BACK ON AND THE POWER STEERING WILL RESET WELL THIS TIME IT DIDN'T WORK SHE WAS HALFWAY BETWEEN OUR SCHOOL AND OUR HOME AND SHE HAD TO DRIVE IT THE REST OF THE WAY BACK HOME WITH NO POWER STEERING... AGAIN I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS IS ALREADY A RECALL AS IT HAPPENS WHILE YOU ARE ACTUALLY IN THE PROCESS OF DRIVING THE VEHICLE. IMAGINE IF IT HAPPENED ON THE HIGHWAY!!!
WE BOUGHT THIS CAR USED WITH 33000 MILES. IT NOW HAS 46000 MILES. AT 37000 MILES THE PASSENGER SEAT BELT STARTED TO RANDOMLY LOCK UP. IT WOULD PIN MY WIFE TO THE SEAT BACK. EVERY TIME WE HAD TO STOP THE CAR TO UNBUCKLE, THEN FEED THE BELT BACK INTO THE MECHANISM TO PULL IT BACK OUT. IF SHE LEANED FORWARD TO ADJUST THE RADIO IT WOULD SOMETIMES LET OUT AN INCH OR TWO OR THREE, THEN LOCK. WE THEN HAD TO STOP THE CAR, UNBUCKLE AND FEED IT BACK IN, THEN START OVER. SOMETIMES IT LOCKS IN PLACE AS SOON AS SHE BUCKLES UP BE FORE I START THE CAR. SOMETIMES IT WILL GO SEVERAL DAYS WITH NO ISSUE. OUR LOCAL DEALER IS MULLINAX FORD OF OLYMPIA WA.THEY REPLACED IT UNDER THE 50000MILE SAFETY WARRANTY. IT DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE. IT STILL RANDOMLY LOCKED UP AND WE HAVE TO STOP THE CAR TO UNBUCKLE AND FEED IT BACK IN. THEY RE[PLACED IT AGAIN. IT STILL LOCKS UP. I TRIED MOVING THE ADJUSTABLE UPPER ANCHOR POINT. THAT SEEMS TO FIX THE PROBLEM FOR THAT DAY. THE NEXT DAY ITS BACK. THEY CLAIM THERE IS NOTHING WRONG. "THIS IS NORMAL." MY 1973 PINTO DID NOT DO THIS, NOR DID MY 1993 AEROSTAR OR MY 1985 PONTIAC. MY 1993 F150 PICK UP DOES NOT ACT LIKE THIS. MY CONCERN IS THAT IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH SHE WILL BE STUCK IN THE CAR IF THE RELEASE BUTTON IN DAMAGED OR UNREACHABLE. I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS NORMAL. MY DAUGHTER INFORMS ME THAT THE RIGHT SIDE REAR BELT HAS STARTED TO DO THIS. SO BOTH BELTS ON THE RIGHT SIDE HAVE ISSUES, BUT NOT THE LEFT SIDE. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE BELTS? IS THERE A DESIGN OR PRODUCTION CHANGE THAT NEEDS CORRECTION? PLEASE INVESTIGATE. I HAVE SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION INCLUDING EMAILS WITH FORD, BUT YOUR SYSTEM WILL NOT ACCEPT THEM DUE TO FILE SIZE. WHENEVER DRIVING MY CAR, IT NOTICABLY TAKES LONGER THAN IT SHOULD TO SHIFT CAUSING MY RPMS TO RUN HIGHER THAN EXPECTED. FOR INSTANCE DOING 35 I MIGHT BE RUNNING AT 2500-3000 RPMS FOR ABOUT 15 TO 20 SECONDS BEFORE SHIFTING AND CAUSING MY RPMS TO GO DOWN TO AROUND 1500.
COMPLETE TRANSMISSION FAILURE WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY. FORD HAD TO DO A COMPLETE REBUILD AT 87K MILES. THE FAILURE RENDERED THE VEHICLE USELESS FOR THE HIGHWAY AND LUCKILY MY DAUGHTER WAS ABLE TO COAST OFF THE HIGHWAY AND LIMP HOME WHICH TOOK 2 HOURS FOR A 15 MILE DISTANCE. DISPLAY INDICATED TRANSMISSION FAULT - SERVICE NOW OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD ESCAPE. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, A CLUNKING NOISE WAS PRESENT COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE AND THE BRAKES SQUEAKED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE SHOCK ABORBERS WERE FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. CHAPMAN FORD (9371 ROOSEVELT BLVD, PHILADELPHIA, PA) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,000. *BF *JB
WE WERE INVOLVED IN A FRONT END COLLISION AND THE AIR BAG SENSORS WERE DAMAGED BUT NO AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. EVERYONE FROM WITNESSES TO FIRST RESPONDERS WERE SURPRISED THEY DIDN'T GO OFF. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AND WAS TOTALED OUT FROM A FRONT PASSENGER SIDE COLLISION. WE WERE DRIVING STRAIGHT AND THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED IN TOWN.
IN LATE MARCH 2019, I HIT A LARGE POT HOLE AND HAD AN INSTANT FLAT TIRE. I PULLED OVER TO AN AREA WHERE I WOULD NOT IMPEDE ON TRAFFIC FLOW. MY HUSBAND TRIED TO REMOVE THE LUG NUTS WITH THE LUG NUT WRENCH THAT I WAS PROVIDED WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME THAT I USED THE WRENCH. IT WOULD NOT WORK. AFTER SEVERAL GOOD SAMARITANS STOPPED TO HELP US, THEY WERE ABLE TO REMOVE THE LUG NUTS WITH THEIR TOOLS. I REPLACED THE TIRE AND LEARNED OF THE "SWOLLEN LUG NUT" SYNDROME OF SEVERAL MAKES OF CARS. I CONTACTED MY DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR IN 2015. I EXPLAINED I DID NOT WANT TO BE ON A DARK, RAINY ROAD WITHOUT A USABLE WRENCH. THEY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS NOT THEIR FAULT, IT IS THE FAULT OF THE MANUFACTURER, IN TURN, THE MANUFACTURER STATED IT WAS THE FAULT/RESPONSIBILITY OF THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION. IN ALL OF THE PAPERWORK FROM CHECK UPS TO REPAIRS, NOTHING WAS EVER MENTIONED ABOUT SWOLLEN LUG NUTS. I HAD ALL OF THE LUG NUTS REPLACED SO MY LUG WRENCH WOULD WORK ON THE LUGS THAT ARE HOLDING MY TIRES ON. I HAVE REPLACED ALL OF THE TIRES AT ABOUT 25,000 MILES. IN ADDITION TO THE 4 TIRE REPLACEMENT, I HAVE HAD TO PURCHASE TWO OTHER NEW TIRES, GET THEM WORN DOWN TO MATCH MY EXISTING TIRES AS I HAVE ALL-WHEEL DRIVE. IN REGARDS TO THE POT HOLE, I CONTACTED THE LOCAL ROAD COMMISSION TO MAKE THEM AWARE OF THE SITUATION. SEVERAL OTHER DRIVERS MET THE SAME POT HOLE.
CAR TOTALLY SHUT DOWN IN TRAFFIC AT A STOP IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. NO ELECTRIC FUNCTIONS. COULD NOT PUT ON HAZARDS, ,COULD NOT ROLL DOWN WINDOWS. CAR HAD TO BE TOWED.
WE HAVE OWNED THE CAR , 2015 FORD ESCAPE SUV, FOR 70 DAYS (CERTIFIED PRE-OWN). DROVE IT ON A TUESDAY. WENT TO START IT ON A WEDNESDAY, AND IT WOULD NOT FIRE OR START. WARNING MESSAGES INCLUDED NO KEY FOB FOUND-TURN OFF VEHICLE-CALL SERVICE (ALTHOUGH I HAD BOTH IN THE CAR); 4 WD DRIVE OFF; SLIS NOT AVAILABLE-CALL SERVICE. IF IT DID FIRE, AS SOON AS THE CAR WAS PUT IN GEAR, ALL THE MESSAGES FLASHED AND THE CAR SHUT DOWN. IT WAS TOWED. IN LOOKING AT THE NHTSA SITE FOR COMPLAINTS, IT'S TIME TO MAKE FORD CULPABLE.
THE VEHICLE BEGAN STALLING OCCASIONALLY AFTER BEING DRIVEN AT HIGHWAY SPEED, AND THEN TURNED OFF AND SITTING FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES. I WOULD RESTART THE VEHICLE, AND AFTER PUTTING IT IN DRIVE, IT WOULD GO A FEW YARDS, THEN DIE AND THE FUEL LIGHT WOULD COME ON. RESTARTING THE VEHICLE USUALLY WORKED, AND SOMETIMES, MULTIPLE RESTARTS WERE NEEDED. SOMETIMES, IT WOULD START TO STALL WHILE DRIVING AFTER RESTARTING, AND FLOORING THE ACCELERATOR MADE IT KEEP GOING. AFTER A FEW MONTHS, THIS BECAME A REGULAR OCCURRENCE AND I BECAME AFRAID TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. THEN, THE VEHICLE BEGAN STALLING WHEN IT WAS IDLING, SUCH AS IN A TRAFFIC JAM OR AT A RAILROAD CROSSING. REPEATED RESTARTS DID NOTHING; IT KEPT STALLING AFTER A FEW SECONDS. THE ONLY WAY TO GET THE VEHICLE RUNNING AGAIN WAS TO DRIVE IT AT HIGHWAY SPEED. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO DON DAVIS FORD IN ARLINGTON, TX AND THEIR MECHANIC DIAGNOSED IT AS A FAILURE OF THE ACTIVE GRILLE SHUTTER SYSTEM, WHICH WAS COVERED IN MY EXTENDED WARRANTY.

During a recent incident, my vehicle's power steering suddenly failed, rendering the car extremely difficult to maneuver. The lack of power steering made it nearly impossible for me to maintain a straight line, let alone perform any evasive maneuvers to avoid potential hazards on the road. Fortunately, this incident occurred in a drive-thru, and my children were not present in the vehicle at the time. I dread to think of the consequences if this failure had happened while driving at higher speeds or in a more critical situation. Upon taking my car to the Ford dealership for inspection and repair, I was shocked to learn that the power steering issue is not covered under my warranty. The dealership informed me that because my vehicle has exceeded 60,000 miles and is now over four years old, it falls outside the warranty coverage. I find it deeply troubling that Ford refuses to acknowledge the obvious flaw in the design of the car's power steering system, especially when comparable Ford models such as the 2011-2013 Fusion have been recalled for the exact same issue. As a loyal Ford customer, I implore you to thoroughly investigate and address this widespread problem, not only for my own sake but also for the safety and well-being of countless other Ford owners who may be facing similar risks. VEHICLE STOPPED OPERATING. ONCE I WAITED A FEW HOURS, THE ENGINE STARTED BUT THE AUDIO IS COMPLETELY GONE.
WHILE I WAS DRIVING, THE DRIVER ELECTRIC SEAT BEGAN ADJUSTING ITSELF. WHEN I TRIED TO RETURN IT TO ITS POSITION, IT LAID BACK MORE. I SELECTED THE POSITION MEMORY BUTTON AND IT DID NOT RETURN IT TO ITS POSITION. THE SEAT CONTINUED TO RECLINE UNTIL IT WAS FULLY RECLINED. THANKFULLY MY GRANDCHILDREN WERE NOT WITH ME AS IT COULD HAVE HURT THEM IN THEIR BOOSTER SEATS. WOULD REQUEST THAT ALL ELECTRIC SEATS HAVE A MANUAL OVERRIDE BUILT IN TO AVOID UNINTENDED INJURY AND ESCAPE FROM THE SAFETY ENGINEERING APPROVED FOR THE VEHICLE. THE OWNERS MANUAL HAS SEVERAL PAGES ON PROPER SEAT ADJUSTMENT BUT NOTHING ON HOW TO CORRECT A FAULTY ELECTRIC SEAT THAT DOES NOT RESPOND AS INTENDED. THIS WOULD ALLOW THE SAFETY AND HAZARD PREVENTION ENGINEERED INTO THE DESIGN TO CONTINUE UNTIL SERVICE WAS AVAILABLE AND WOULD PREVENT UNINTENTIONAL INJURY IF SERVICE WAS NOT AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY
VEHICLE STALLS WHILE DRIVING ON CITY ROADS. HAVE HAD CONDITIONS WHERE WE ARE DRIVING AT 30 MILES/HR AND CAR STARTS SWITCHING OFF WITH CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND OIL LIGHT AND BATTERY LIGHT COMING ON. VEHICLE WILL NOT MOVE PROPERLY UNTIL I SWITCH IT OFF AN ON AGAIN. HAS CAUSED 1 ACCIDENT AND 2 ALMOST ACCIDENTS WHERE CAR WAS REAR ENDED DUE TO STALLING. THERE ARE NO CODES TO SAY WHAT IS WRONG AND FORD STATES EVERYTHING IS FINE
MY 2015 FORD ESCAPE WAS PARKED IN THE PARKING LOT WHERE MY WORK LOCATED. I HAVE NO PROBLEM TURNING THE ENGINE ON; HOWEVER, WHEN STARTED BACKING UP, THE STEERING WHEEL WAS SO HARD TO MANEUVER. I TRIED TURNING TO THE LEFT OR RIGHT TURN BUT IT IS LIKE HUSTLING AND FIGHTING A MUSCLED MAN. IT WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. IT WAS FREEZING. I THOUGHT ABOUT THE DANGER OF DRIVING THIS VEHICLE BECAUSE FOR THE FIRST TIME I NEVER FELT SAFE DRIVING MY FORD ESCAPE THAT FRIDAY NIGHT (1/25/19).
WHEN ATTACHING A TRAILER TO HITCH, SEVERAL TIMES THE AUTOMATIC TAILGATE WOULD ATTEMPT TO CLOSE WITHOUT WARNING. ON ONE ENCOUNTER, THE TAILGATE ACTUALLY HIT ME IN THE HEAD, (BEFORE OPENING BACK UP) AS IT CLOSED ON ME WHILE LOADING GROCERIES. THE 2015 FORD ESCAPE HAS THE "HANDS-FREE" TAILGATE. I CALLED THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND NO FURTHER ACTION WAS TAKEN. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY ON BOTH OCCASIONS. THE LAST ENCOUNTER TOOK PLACE ABOUT A MONTH AGO WHILE I WAS LOADING THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE WITH SUITCASES, ETC.
CABIN GAS SMELL WHEN DRIVING
I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH STALLING. I HAVE HAD THE MAP SENSOR REPLACED, THE PURGE VALVE SYSTEM DONE TWICE AND THE FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED. THIS CAR WAS BUILT IN DECEMBER 2014. I TOOK IT TO HOLMAN FORD IN TURNERSVILLE NJ AND THEY COULD NOT FIGURE OUT WHY IT IS STALLING. I FEEL IT IS THE SAME ISSUE THAT THEY HAD RECALLED 2.0 ECOBOOST ESCAPES. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON AND I CANNOT DRIVE IT MORE THEN A FEW MILES, THEN IT DOESN'T START. I HAVE LOOKED ONLINE AND I FEEL THIS IS PART OF THE RECALL14S17...SSM47575. HOLMAN FORD COULDN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS WRONG AND SAID THEY WERE TALKING TO THE ENGINEERS. WHAT A JOKE I HAD TO PAY FOR THEM TO PUT ON FOR THE CODES BUT IT WASN'T EVEN CORRECT. THIS STALLING HAPPENS WHEREVER I AM DRIVING WITHIN THE FIRST FEW MILES OF THE DAY THEN I DON'T TRY TO DRIVE BECAUSE IT WILL STAHL. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR THE LAST YEAR AND HALL
FACTORY LUG NUTS ON CAR COULD NOT BE REMOVED FOR ROUTINE MAINTENANCE/ VEHICLE SERVICING. BROKEN LUG WAS DRILLED OUT AND ALL LUGS REPLACED AT THE FORD DEALERSHIP. DEALER RECOMMENDED AN AFTERMARKET LUG NUT KIT TO AVOID REPEAT OF THE ISSUE. THESE PARTS NEED TO BE RECALLED BEFORE SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUES ARE REALIZED. I HAVE THE BAD PARTS AND RECEIPT OF MY SERVICE VISIT FOR MY RECORDS. I WILL BE CONTACTING FORD REQUESTING REIMBURSEMENT FOR THESE FAILED PARTS. RIDICULOUS TO THINK I WOULD HAVE NEEDED TO CALL FOR A TOW TRUCK IF I HAD A FLAT TIRE ON SIDE OF THE FREEWAY.
SHIFTER CABLE BROKE AT TRANSMISSION END. A BUSHING THAT HELPS CONNECT THE CABLE TO THE TRANSMISSION BROKE. IT ALLOWED ME TO PARK THE CAR WITHOUT THE TRANSMISSION IN PARK AND WITHOUT RECEIVING ANY AUDIBLE WARNING. IT ALSO CAUSED THE TRANSMISSION TO BE STUCK IN THE D POSITION, NOT ALLOWING ME TO START THE CAR AS I HAD NO WAY OF CHANGING GEARS. IF THE CAR WAS ON A HILL, IT WOULD'VE ROLLED AWAY, CREATING A DANGEROUS SITUATION.

LINDSAY FORD (11250 VEIRS MILL RD, WHEATON, MD 20902, (888) 457-7005) STATED THAT THE LUG NUTS WERE ALUMINUM AND TENDED TO SWELL UP. THE DEALER OFFERED TO SUPPLY NEW LUG NUTS AND REPLACE THEM WITH STEEL LUG NUTS FOR $200. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO REPLACE THEM INDEPENDENTLY FOR $30. THE CONTACT WROTE THE MANUFACTURER AND THEY REPLIED THAT THE LUG NUTS WERE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
ELECTRICAL PROBLEM: ON MY 2015 FORD EXCAPE IVE HAD ONLY ABFEW MONTHS AT 40,000 MFILES THE DASH BOARD LIGHTS AND KEYS GO CRAZY WHEN VEHICAL IS TURNED OFF THEN CANT UNLOCK DOORS. WHEN CUT CAR BACK ON COMPUTERS ARE BLACK. WAS DRIVE DOWN THE ROAD AND COMPUTER GOES BLANK JUST LIKE YOU CUT THE CAR OFF LOST ALL ELECTRICAL USE. HAD TO WAIT A FEW MINS TO RESTART CAR. I CALLED DEALER AND THEY SAY NO RECALL ON MY VEHICLE. AS I READ THE REVIEWS MY EXCAPE IS DOING THE SAME AS OTHERS. I THINK FORD SHOULD FIX THIS AS IT IS THE SAME AS OTHERS LIKE THIS EXCAPE.
I HAVE A FLAT TIRE. WHEN GOING TO CHANGE IT, I FOUND THAT THE LUG WRENCH WOULD NOT FIT THE LUG NUTS ON THE WHEELS. I WAS TOLD AT THE FORD DEALER THAT THE LUG NUTS SWELLED SO THE LUG WTENCH WOULD NO LONGER FIT THE LUGS PREVENTING THE TIRE FROM BEING REMOVED. I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD SINCE YOU CAN'T CHANGE THE TIRE. I WAS STUCK ON THE SIDE OF A MAJOR HIGHWAY FOR OVER 3 HOURS WAITING FOR ASSISTANCE AND HAD TO PURCHASE NEW LUG NUTS FOR MY CAR BECAUSE THEY WERE CHEWED UP GETTING THEM REMOVED. THEY WERE ALSO HARD TO TIGHTEN WHEN PUTTING ON THE SPARE TIRE.

THE FAILURE OF THE BACKUP CAMERA WAS NOT DISCLOSED BY THE TECHNICIAN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER AND WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 68,000.
MY MULTIPLE FUNCTION DISPLAY HAS GONE BLANK WHICH DISPLAYS ALL WARNING CHIMES, MESSAGES AND MILEAGE. I CONTACTED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE ABOUT THE RECALL THEY HAD THAT WAS SUBMITTED ON THAT MODEL AND YEAR AND THEY TOLD ME MY VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED. I AM VERY ANGRY. I OWED THIS CAR LESS THAN TWO YEARS AND EVEN BOUGHT THE BODY WRAP AND POWERTRAIN BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY YET THE PURGE VALE WENT BAD. FORD CALLS IT A VALVE YET THE MANUFACTURER OF THE PART CALLS IT A TUBE, SO THE WARRANTY WILL NOT COVER IT. I SEE THIS VERY PART IS THE SAME FOR THE FORD FUSION FOR THE SAME YEAR, YET ITS NOT COVERED WITH A RECALL....WHY.
ENGINE BYPASS COOLANT VALVE HAS CAME ON. CAR IS CURRENTLY RUNNING HARD BUT NOT OVERHEATING
WITH NO WARNING MY 2015 EDGE SPORT, WITH ONLY 20,700 MILES, SUDDENLY LOST POWER (DIED) AND A LIGHTED WRENCH APPEARED ON DASHBOARD WITH"'HILL ASSIST"?. FORTUNATELY NO VEHICLES WERE IMMEDIATELY BEHIND AND I WAS ABLE TO SAFELY COAST TO THE SIDE. I WAS THEN ABLE TO RE-START THE ENGINE. THE DEALERSHIP'S 'FIX' WAS TO RESET THE COMPUTER BUT I DON'T KNOW IF THAT HAS TRULY RESOLVED THE ISSUE. I AM VERY CONCERNED THIS COULD HAPPEN AGAIN UNDER MORE DANGEROUS CIRCUMSTANCES.
THE DEALER REFUSED TO PAY FOR DEFECTIVE DRIVESHAFTS. THE VEHICLE WOULD SHAKE VIOLENTLY WHEN DECELERATING. THE DEALERSHIP BLAMED FAULTY TIRES BUT THE TIRES WER NOT THE PROBLEM. WE HAD AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC REPLACE BOTH DRIVE SHAFTS TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. NO REIMBURSEMENT WAS OFFERED BY DEALERSHIP AND WAS BROUGHT IN WHILE UNDER WARRANTY WITH NO HELP.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BIG STAR FORD (17717 SOUTH FWY, MANVEL, TX 77578, (844) 745-4026) AND THE EVAP CANISTER WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,000.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,356. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
MY LEFT BACK PASSENGER DOOR PANEL KEEPS PULLING OFF THE DOOR AND PREVENTS THE DOOR FROM OPENING. I LITERALLY HAVE TO EITHER PULL THE DOOR SO HARD FROM THE OUTSIDE TO GET IT OPEN OR CLIMB IN THE BACK FROM THE RIGHT BACK PASSENGER DOOR TO PULL THE PANEL UP SLOWLY AS SOMEONE IS SLOWLY OPENING THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE UP TO THE LOU FUSZ FORD DEALERSHIP IN CHESTERFIELD, MO., WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE TWICE ALREADY AND THIS WILL BE THE THIRD TIME! THE FIRST TIME I WAS TOLD THEY NEEDED TO REPLACE THE PANELS CLIPS. THE SECOND TIME I WAS TOLD THE NEEDED TO REPLACE THE WHOLE PANEL. GOT ANOTHER FLAT A FEW MONTHS LATER AND WAS AGAIN NOT ABLE TO USE THE SPARE TIRE BECAUSE WE COULDN'T GET THE LUG NUTS OFF. FORD DEALER TOLD ME TO GET AFTERMARKET ONE PIECE LUG NUTS AND CHANGE THEM ALL OUT. I'M AN OLDER FEMALE AND NO LONGER FEEL SAFE DRIVING THE VEHICLE BECAUSE I AM NOT ABLE TO USE THE SPARE AND MIGHT GET STRANDED IF I HAVE ANOTHER FLAT.
