IF CONSUMER DIDN'T HAVE A SEAT BELT ON WOULD HAVE BEEN KNOCKED THROUGH WINDOW. *AK

REAR WINDOW "EXPLODED" OUTWARDS WITHOUT WARNING. IT WAS NOT HIT, THE WEATHER WAS COOL. THE BLOWOUT PATTERN SENT 99% OF THE GLASS INTO THE STREET A DISTANCE OF 30 FEET OR MORE. VERY LITTLE GLASS WAS INSIDE THE CAR. I HAVE HEARD OF OTHER INCIDENTS OF THIS HAPPENING IN THE EXPEDITION/NAVIGATOR MODELS. IS THIS IN FACT A MODEL SPECIFIC OR DESIGN PROBLEM.*AK

'FORD KNOWS THAT THE HEATER HOSE HAS A BAD CONNECTION POINT AT THE FIREALL, THIS RESULTS IS DRIPPING WATER ON THE #4 COIL PACK NAD CAUSES IT TO BURN OUT. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL ITEM BECAUE SO MANY OTHER PEOPLE WITH FORD EXPEDITIONS ARE INCURING THE SAME PROBLEM. *AK

WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE SEEMED TO WANDER, VEHICLE WAS TAKEN INTO DEALER AND CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THAT THE FRONT TORSION BAR BROKE, THIS HAS SINCE HAPPENED AGAIN THE SECOND TIME CONSUMER NOTICED THAT VEHICLE WAS LEANING TO THE LEFT, VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO DEALER AND CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THAT FRONT TORSION BAR HAD BROKE AGAIN.*YH

FRONT STABILIZER BAR FELL AND BOLTS FELL OFF. DEALER HAD TO REPLACE STABILIZER BAR LINK KIT.*AK
FRONT AND REAR WIPERS AND WASHERS STOP WORKING. WILL WORK IF TURN SIGNAL IS ACTIVATED. DT
ENGINE CONTINUES TO RUN AFTER FOOT IS TAKEN OFF GAS PEDAL, ONE TIME THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED UP TO 85MPH...THE ONLY WAY TO STOP IT WAS TO SHIFT IT INTO NEUTRAL, WHEN I DID THIS THE ENGINE WAS REVVING TO IT'S LIMITS. I TURNED THE ENGINE OFF WHICH MEANT THE POWER ASSIST TO THE BRAKES WAS NO LONGER WORKING. THIS SEEMS TO BE AN EXTREMELY UNSAFE THING FOR THIS VEHICLE TO DO. THIS WAS THE LAST TIME THE VEHICLE DID THIS. AFTER THE TRUCK SITS FOR 5-10MINS WITH THE ENGINE OFF IT WILL RESTART & APPEAR TO BE NORMAL, HOWEVER THIS PROBLEM REAPPEARED 5 TIMES IN TOTAL IN THE COURSE OF A 400 MILE TRIP. THE BIG PROBLEM IS THAT THIS VEHICLE WILL CONTINUE TO RUN & IB ONE INSTANCE ACCELERATE AFTER THE DRIVERS FOOT IS TAKEN OFF THE GAS PEDAL.*AK

WHILE TRAVELING 55 MPH AND WHEN DRIVER WAS DECELERATING VEHICLE STARTED TO ACCELERATE BY ITSELF, EVEN AFTER BRAKE PEDAL WAS BEING DEPRESSED. A SECOND INCIDENT OCCURRED TWO DAYS LATER. NO ACCIDENTS OR INJURIES OCCURRED. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER. *AK
RUNNING BOARDS ARE VERY SLICK WHEN WET. I DO NOT BELIEVE IT IS POSSIBLE TO SAFELY USE THEM WHEN WET. MY WIFE, TWO OF MY SONS, AND I HAVE ALL FALLEN GETTING OUT OF THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE SLIPPERY RUNNING BOARD. MY FALL RESULTED IN A BADLY BROKEN ARM AND HEAD TRAUMA. FORD AND THE DEALER HAVE BEEN UNINTERESTED IN FIXING THIS PROBLEM IN MY CONTACTS WITH THEM. *AK

CONSUMER WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 40MPH ON HIGHWAY AND HIS VEHICLE VEERED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE THAT WAS AT A COMPLET STOP. FRONT END BUCKLED. ALSO, AIRBAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY. CONSUMER WAS INJURED. *AK

HEADLIGHTS FAILED WHILE DRIVING AFTER DARK. *AK
4WHEEL ABS DANGEROUS LONG STOPPING DISTANCE. ENDED UP IN DITCH. SUBSEQUENTLY MEASURED STOPPING DISTANCE ON DIRT ROAD AT 30 MPH. STOPPING DISTANCE MEASURED 70 FEET WITH ABS ENABLED. STOPPING DISTANCE MEASURED JUST 45 FEET WITH ABS DISABLED (BRAKES FULLY LOCKED UP IN BOTH CASES). ABS DESIGN NEEDS TO BE CHANGED TO SHORTEN STOPPING DISTANCE UNDER TYPICAL "DRY ROAD" CONDITIONS.*AK
WHILE PARKED IN AN INCLINE POSITION IN 4WD LOW, WITH THE VEHICLE IN PARK, THE VEHICLE ROLLED AWAY AS IN NEUTRAL, THE 4WD LOW NOT OPERATING, SUSTAINING BODY DAMAGE WHILE AND AS IT CAME TO A STOP. THE TRANSMISSION IN PARK, ON AN INCLINE, HELD THE CAR IN 2WD, AWD, 4WD HIGH , BUT FAILED IN 4WD LOW WHEN TESTED TWO MORE TIMES.

TORSION BAR BROKE IN HALF WHILE CAR WAS SITTING STILL. LOUD EXPLOSION NOISE RTHEN THE CAR SHIFTED TO THE RIGHT. CAR WAS DISABLED AND NEED TO BE TOWED. NOTIFIED FORD AND THEY WOULD NOT PAY FOR THE REPAIR DUE TO OUT OF WARRENTY CONDITION.*AK
CONSUMER WAS TRAVELING ON HIGHWAY AND ANOTHER VEHICLE REAR ENDED. CONSUMER APPLIED BRAKES, AND THERE WERE NO BRAKES, AND THEN HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE. THERE WAS A CHAIN REACTION TO OTHER VEHICLE. ABS BRAKING SYSTEM DIDN'T WORK. VEHICLE AT DEALERSHIP. THERE WERE NO INJURIES.*AK
THE AIR SUSPENSION PUMP FAILED AT LEAST SIX TIMES, AND CAUSED THE REAR SUSPENSION TO FALL FROM THE VEHICLE ONTO THE TIRES WHICH MADE THE VEHICLE DIFFICULT TO CONTROL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THE NEW AIR PUMP WAS REMOVED AND THAT IS WHEN THE MECHANIC DISCOVERED THERE WAS A LEAK IN THE AIR BAG. *AK *JB
